Chapter 30
As Maria finished singing, people started putting flowers over Alex’s grave. Isabel took a step forward a kneeled as she put the rose down and began to cry. Maria pushed her upper body to her and reached her hand to Isabel’s shoulder. Isabel looked back at her and took her friend’s hand as she got up and stood next to her again.
Maria didn’t have the straight to cry right now she gazed her eyes into the distance before her, at nothing particular. Not until she saw someone she didn’t expect. There the few tears that were already on her check a weak smile formed on her face. She reached her free hand into the ones holding her wheel chair, Michael’s. He leaned his head down to her as she whispered into his ear. –“Unlock me and take me to that clearing, Michael.”- he didn’t understand at first but he did as she said.
He slowly drove her wheel chair away from the ground. The gang notice them leave, especially Max. Michael finally stopped where she told him to come and looked down at Maria. She had already grabbed a hold of each wheel and slowly turned them and they moved forward.
Ellie saw Maria coming to her so she stepped out of the bushes. Max stood there for a second when he finally realized what got Maria’s attention. There she was, dressed in a black dress. He could see two guys behind her. One was Zan but he didn’t know the other one. He felt a tight grip and he looked at the owner of the hand, Isabel. He looked at her, her worried hair. –“I was in their dreams, Max.”- he said, giving a look towards Ellie, Maria and Michael. –“Who, Isabel?”- he asked her. Her gaze was now on the man, and she could see he was looking at him.
“Khivar. That’s Khivar, Max. I recognize him from the dreams. How he looked on Antar.” – she finally brought herself to say. He couldn’t understand how he could be here when he was on Antar. How could he survive on Earth? –“I’m going there.”- he said but he felt another grip from his sister with her head shaking once. –“Max, I don’t think that’s a good idea. Please?- she looked at him.
”We’ll go to Michael and Maria. You don’t have to be near him, I promise.” – he said and kissed her on the check. She nodded as the slowly walked to them. Tess saw them but she didn’t go over them, she didn’t want to be near Khivar. If he was with Kivana Eli, it could mean that their deal wasn’t right anymore. She didn’t want to destroy everything that she had been doing all this time, even though it wasn’t much.
Maria and Ellie came close to each other. Maria looked up at her, right in time when Ellie fell on her knees before her. –“Liz?”- she called out for her friend and Ellie nodded. –“I’m here, Maria. I’m so sorry. I should have known. I felt something was wrong. – she looked at Maria. She didn’t look like Liz but she was Liz. She could see it in her eyes. Ellie was Liz as much as she was Val.
Ellie puts her hands on Maria’s knees. –“How did this happen, Maria?”- she said, looking at her friend. Maria’s eyes looked on her knees and her friend’s hands. –“FBI. Alex got shot in the head and I hit a tree.”- she said. It seemed so easy to say but it wasn’t. Ellie knew it. She knew Maria.
“Oh, sweetie. I’m so sorry. I should have been with you.” – she said and looked down on her own hands as they began to glow. Max saw her hands when he and Isabel joined them. Michael didn’t move his eyes from Maria’s hands. Finally Ellie’s hands stopped glowing. She looked down shaking her head.
Max watched as Zan walked to her and kneeled next to her, rapping his arms around her. –“I’m sorry, Ellie. It’s not your fault.”- he started to comfort her. She couldn’t do it either. He didn’t even know she had that power, the power of healing. His eyes fell on Khivar who didn’t move from the bushes.
Maria leaned forward and put her hand on Ellie’s shoulder, whose eyes met Maria’s then. –“It’s alright. Max tried too and it didn’t work. It’s not fault.”- more tears came to Ellie’s eyes.
“It is my fault, Maria. What’s the use of my powers if I can’t help you? If I can’t help my friends, the people I love! They’re useless. I’m useless!” – she cried out.
“You’re not useless and you never will be. You’re a heiress to a throne. From birth, it was known, you would great. You don’t have the power to heal her because it’s not alien related. Zan is different. His powers are real healing powers. Yours are for us.” – everyone looked at the man who appeared. Max felt Isabel moving closer to him. Only Ellie kept looking at Maria.
”We shouldn’t get going. They’re gona ask where we are.” – Michael finally said. Maria looked at him and nodded. –“Come on, Liz.”- Maria told her friend, squeezing her shoulder before she let her go. Michael turned the wheelchair and drove her away, Isabel joined him. She didn’t want to stay there for another moment.
Ellie got up on her feet, with Zan’s hand around her waist. She could feel Max’s look on him. She looked back at him as he walked to her. –“Can I have a moment with her?”- he asked Zan, who nodded. He kissed Ellie’s check and he started walking with everyone. Ellie looked to her left and her brother got the message and followed Zan.
She looked at Max. –“What did you want to talk about?”- she asked him. –“You said a week.”- he started. She shook her head once. –“I had much work on Antar. A month was not enough, Max. People are going crazy up there. One for old and one for the new. They can’t find a way to compromise.”- she informed him. His head went down as her hand went to his chin, gently lifting his head to look at him. –“It’s not your fault. We’re working on it and everything is going to be alright, Max. You have Isabel, Michael and Tess to worry about. Leave Antar to me and Zan.”
“Who’s that man?” – he asked her. She moved her hand from his chin and he grabbed it, around her wrist. –“It’s Khivar, isn’t it?”- her face formed a question. –“Isabel. She was in your dreams, remember? She saw him.”- he told her.
She nodded to his words. - “Then why I ask me, Max? She told you already! Yes, he’s my brother and I took him with me.” – she informed him. She wasn’t about to discuss it with him.
“And this?” – he pointed at her. –“When are Liz and Val coming back?”- he asked as she looked on herself and then back at him, with her eyes rolling once. –“They’re not. We’re not separating, Max. This is home. I am Val and I am Liz. You can’t force me to be apart.”- she released herself from his grip.
“What about us, Liz?” – his next question came. Her hands went to his face. –“Max, there is no us. You cannot be a king of a nation and I have five planets to worry about.” – she paused, getting herself to finally say it. -“I’m going to marry Zan, Max.”- his hands went over hers, pulling them of him as he just walked away without saying a word to her.
She stood there for a second; releasing a sigh from her lips as she stared at the open spot that represented Alex’s grave. –“I’m sorry, Alex, for failing you. I wish I could save you. I thought that changing our destiny would save us all. But I wasn’t strong enough to save you. I’ll always love.”- she said and she walked away.

Chapter 31
A day had passed. Tess opened her eyes in her room as the sun hit her eyes. She positioned herself better, she found herself laying on her back staring at the ceiling. She had her hands under her head, just thinking. Suddenly, her right hand rushed under the covers and stopped itself on her stomach. Tess swallowed. –“Oh, no!”- she pointed to herself.
She knew that what she just realized would be bad. True, she wanted and needed to happen but livings in this town made her realize that it’s not just about the four of them. It’s not even four but eight of them. She blinked for a second realizing that she would have to leave. She had dreamt of going back since she could remember. But now, she had Roswell and all the people in it. Max turned to her. Isabel seemed like a cool friend.
Jim and Kyle were her biggest support. Jim was like a dad and Kyle, enough though she had the desire to be with him, turned out to be a great brother. She had a family and she was happy. With them, she didn’t have to worry about destiny or past lives. She could take her time and smile, make dinner or just yell at them because they had the game on.
She smiled to her thoughts. At the same time, she couldn’t believe herself. She, Tess Harding, the queen of Antar was feeling sad because of the fact that she would go home. It had been ages since she even considered it and now, she may have had no choice but to go home. She took a deep breath and turned on her left side and stared at the wall wanting to hide from the world for just a little bit longer.

Max returned from his bathroom with a towel over his waist. He opened his closet to get something to wear. He pulled out his jeans and shirt. He closed the closet as he carried his clothes to the bed and found his boxers. He put them on, buried deep into his thoughts and he didn’t even realize that there was someone at the window, someone that let him get dressed before she would interrupt him. He dropped the towel on the ground once he had his boxers on. He reached for his jeans and slipped in them and the buttoned them.
He reached for the shirt and put it on him and buttoned that. He wondered what the deal with all the buttons today was. He looked at the alarm clock on his night stand; he still had sometime before he had to go to school. He decided to go grab something to eat but he never got that far. He heard a knock on the window pane and he turned around to it, seeing two familiar blue eyes watching him. He walked to the window and opened it, reaching his hand out.
She took it and climbed inside. She said nothing for a moment and neither did him. His gaze was locked to her face, looking for an explanation to it. It was different somehow but he couldn’t really place it. –“Max?”- her soft voice got his attention. He blinked and looked at her.
“Yea, Tess?” – he answered her and looked to her eyes. They were hypnotizing. He did love Liz with ever fiber of his being but when he looked at her eyes, he wasn’t really thinking with his heart, not really. –“I need to talk to you. Please, don’t freak out.”- he nodded agreeing. But she didn’t buy it. Despite his past life, he was a kid. Everyone knew that. And what she was about to tell him would change his life for good.
“I . . . ” – started but she couldn’t. Not when he kept looking at her. –“Can you not look at me? For just a second?”- he nodded not understanding and tried to look something to turn his eyes to it. He finally looked at the open window, waiting for her to go on. –“Alright . . . I just realized something. And don’t ask me if I’m sure or not ‘cause I am. This kind of kind of things, you just know.”- she paused.
”Tess, just tell me.” – he told her but he still didn’t look at her. –“Alright!”- she felt like he was pushing her. –“Max . . . I’m . . . I’m pregnant.”- she finally brought herself to say it. Such a word never came to her lips before and it was hard but it was also relieving, to have him know. He looked at her at the same moment as he heard it. She felt like he would kill her on the spot or accuse her of something.
He walked closer to her and took her hand. –“Tess, I know I’m not the best of guys to be with but . . .”- he stopped in his words and a wide smile appeared on his face. –“But I will be the father to your . . . to our kid, Tess. I can’t turn away from that.”- she let a small smile escape her lips as she heard him. He leaned to her and kissed her.
But Tess was not Liz. If she was, their souls would combine at that point and she would know that she had pushed a huge burden upon him. He was not ready to be a father, to let of Liz completely. But he felt it was hid duty. He was the one that slept with Tess and he had to do as his duty told him to.

In the afternoon, the group gathered in the Crashdown. Max, Isabel, Michael, Tess, Kyle and Maria gathered in Max’s usual booth. They ate lunch in silence with someone adding some comment about something in the past with everyone smiling to it.
The front doors swung open as she walked in. Max looked up as soon as he saw her and Tess followed his gaze. She returned to her food not wanting to say anything while Max’s eyes followed her as she came to them with a soft smile on her face. –“Hi, everyone.”- she said as she found herself next to them.
Kyle opened his mouth to say something when a voice came from the back. –“Eleanor?!?”- Ellie looked at the direction of the voice with her checks blushing. Everyone else followed her look and found Jeff Parker moving towards her with a wide smile. She put up a smile of her own and walked to him. He put his arms around her and they hugged. –“It’s been forever!”- he told her, a bit of a youthful voice came out. She nodded. –“Actually, it has been longer then that, Parker!”- she said. –“So what’s up with you?”- she said with a interest in her voice. –“I see you followed my idea on the diner and it worked well.”- she added. Everyone in the booth had their attention to the two.
“A lot! And yes, this idea saved my ass. Which I have to thank you for. How does lunch sound?” – she shook her head. –“Sorry. Just passing by. Kal wants me back in L.A. like now!”- he nodded.
“Well, at least you have to meet Nancy. And have you been to L.A.?” – she shook her head, followed by his nod as he felt her there, going to the back for a second. He returned a moment later with Nancy Parker. –“Eleanor, this is Nancy, my wife.”- he said as the two shook hands. Ellie smiled. –“I think we’ve met. I know that smile anywhere!”- she said with a smile to Nancy. –“You must mean Liz.”- Jeff added and Nancy and Ellie nodded at the same time.
“Jeff, this is the famous Eleanor to thank for Crashdown? – Jeff nodded to his wife. –“Well, say hi to Kal for me. I have to get to work.”- she nodded and they hugged once more time. –“It was nice meeting you.”- Nancy added and the two walked into the back.
Ellie turned around and saw everyone’s eyes to her. She took a chair from a near by table and put it next to the both and sat down on it. –“You wana know what that was about, right?”- everyone nodded, except Maria. She already knew most of the story.
“Alright. You know how there were four protectors?” – Max nodded like it was a question for him. –“Well, two were for each. But well, the history is kind of wrong. You see, they caught Nasedo and Manta, the female protector for the four of you while the other two went off. Eleanor Langley is one of the other protectors.”- she paused, looking at the four. She needed their attention if they would listen. –“She came to Roswell to look for me. She found Jeff and she was drawn to him instantly. They had a thing and he told her how his father left him this diner with a later 50ties theme and he needed to something with it or sell it. It was her idea to make it into an alien themed diner.”- she paused as she took some air.
“Langley? Isn’t that what the producer in Hollywood is called?” – suddenly Isabel interrupted her. Ellie focused her eyes on her and nodded slowly. –“Kal Langley. That’s right. He’s one of the protectors.”
“So wait, I still don’t get how you were born to Nancy Parker if you’re an alien hybrid.” – Ellie suddenly shrugged without thinking. –“I have no idea, Tess. I don’t know everything. They never told if I was adopted or not but I really can’t just go ask them.”- she told her. She was done with her story.
“What about your uncle? In L.A. Is your dad gona be calling any time soon?” – Max’s question came to her as their eyes met. Ellie blinked to brake it off. She shrugged. –“Kal can handle them.”- They blinked at the same time not believing what they really hear. –“What?”- Michael’s voice first broke the silence.
“He’s not Liz’s uncle. When Jeff Parker met Eleanor, he met Kal as he brother. And they sort of stayed it touch.” – she explained. –“We need to go see him.”- Ellie looked at Max not understanding. –“Max, why?”- Isabel asked.
“Look, guys, I know this is going to be weird to understand but we need him.” – he looked at Tess before continuing. –“Tess is pregnant.”- he finally said. His eyes went straight to Ellie who showed no emotion. He wanted to hit himself for wanting her to feel something when he had Tess next to him and a child to take care of. –“We need answers and he might have them.”- Ellie nodded but she didn’t say anything for a bit, thinking.
She looked at Tess. –“Congrats, Tess. I think yours is coming faster then mine.”- she told her. Maria looked at her, remembering what she told her about Val’s pregnancy. –“My body is set by our time. IT will take me nine months to give birth.”- she looked at the group all together.
“Who’s leaving, pack up.” – she got up and looked at Maria. –“You’re coming too, of course.”- she added, seeing Maria’s disappointed face that showed a bright smile as soon as she heard that. Ellie struck Michael with a look before he could say anything.

Chapter 32
Why I brought my diary on this trip, I couldn’t really explain it. I think it’s because I want Kal to have it for save keeping. I just don’t think my parents are ready for any of this.
The voyage was interesting enough. Three cars! Kyle drove Tess and Khivar with him in his mustang. Don’t know how that turned out. Michael drove Maria and Isabel in the Jetta while Max drove me and Zan in the Jeep. Through the entire trip Max kept asking over and over again why I brought Khivar with us. Zan agreed with him, which he didn’t even try to hide but at least he defended me from time to time.
Isabel told me at a reststop that she was really getting sick of of the whole Michael and Maria story. I mean seriously, can’t they give it a rest. We all understand that the two took lead in the club couples but still. I feel bad for Isabel. Apperantly, ever since the accident, Michael turned out to be such a gentleman! Without Max’s help.
Kyle said that there was a bit of a chill. He and Tess would talk from time to time and he would ask Khivar about something from time to time but Tess wouldn’t even look at Khivar. Even when Kyle suggested it, he got weird glares from her so he gave up.
But we eventually came to L.A. and things setled down a bit. At least, Isabel and Maria are so excited to meet Kal because of his huge reputation. Max and Michael just want to get it over with so they don’t have to spend so much time together and me, I’m just glad to be with family again. Real family!
The jeep drove infront since Ellie knew how to get to Kal’s mansion. They came to the big gates and Ellie opened her window and pressed the black button. –“Yes?”- she heard a female voice answer. –“Is Kal Langley at home?”- she didn’t wait for an answer. –“Could you just tell him that Ellie is home.”- she added.
“Excuse me?” – the woman’s voice answered. –“Just do it, sweetie.”- she answered back and let go of the button. Max looked at her. –“Don’t worry. She’s probaly just one of his girl friends.- she added and a second later, the large gates opened up and all three cars drove in. They found a parking lot for about 5 cars and parked there. Zan got out first and reached his hand out for Ellie to get out after that. She did. Max came out right after that.
Everyone else was pretty much outside when she looked at them. The hand that Zan took was still in his hand. Their fingers interwinded as they walked to the doors. Everyone came after them. Zan reached out with his free hand and pressed the doorbell.
He opened the doors. He didn’t not have a happy face. He probably was busy. When he looked at Zan he was about to snap but then he saw her right next to him and a wide smile formed on his face. He opened his arms to her. She let go of Zan and hugged him back. When she pulled back with the same wide smile on her face. –“I was beginning to think you wouldn’t show!”- he pointed out, moving aside for everyone to come into the enormus.
“Everyone, this is Karmal, my mother’s brother.” – she turned around looking at them. Michael carried Maria in his arms while Kyle brought the wheelchair. He opened it for her and Michael placed her into it. She took the wheels and came before of everyone. –“And this is my best friend Maria DeLuca, Kal.”- she said waving her hand towards Maria. Kal streched his hand to her and she took it, shaking it. –“She’s an awsome singer but she will sing her music they way she did it!”- she added and winked to Maria.
Something hit in the kitchen and everyone, with Kal and Ellie leading them ran there. There he stood, staring at the beer on the floor. –“You moron! What did you do? That floor is worth much more then you are!!” - Kal started shouting at him.
“Chil, dude. Iz gona fix it anyway!” – Rath said and reached his hand out. –“Just leave it!”- Kal shouted again. He turned to Ellie. –“I’m kicking him out!!”- he shouted determened but to the gang behind them, it seemed like he was asking his approval. She shook her head with a smirk on her face.
She walked to him and and waved her hand towards the mess. It dissapeared. She walked to Rath with her hands open. –“Don’t I get a hug, Ratos?”- she asked as his big arms reached out to her and pulled her close. As soon as her hands fell on his back, she got hit by a vision.
[Vision]
Liz with short hair with a bit of an older face stood in the street as Rath looked at her on his motor.
“You know how the granolith is powerful?” – he nodded, his fullest attention to her. –“I came from the future to solve this mess. Now, it turns out that I had a past life. Where I was with Zan. And it’s all my fault. All this mess.” – she said, her voice turning more anger. –“That’s gota suck.”- he brought himself to say it. She nodded.
“I’m gona be gone in a few minutes but I was wondering if I could ask you something. It could be a good chance for you to prove yourself. At least to me and not them?” – he nodded, listening so far.
“I want you to look after Liz. The real Liz. Make sure she’s in good hands. Can you do that for me?” – he nodded. She walked to him and rapped her arms around him. –“You’re gona be a great friend, Rath.”- he heard her voice and then he felt nothing. He looked around her and she was gone.
[Vision End]
Ellie pulled back from him for a bit and looked at him. But she didn’t say anything but smiled. - “So what are you doing in L.A.?” – she asked him.
“He tells me the granolith can bring people back from the future.” – Kal answered with a sarcastic voice. Ellie turned to him with a sharp look. –“You think that’s funny. You have no idea how diffuclt it is to go through time and change things. You have everything and then you realize that because of you, everything will destroyed. I don’t that’s funny, Kal.”- he looked to his shoes, realizing that she was right. She looked back at Rath. –“We’re glad to have, Rath. Where’s Velandra?”- he shrugged.
”Nicholas told me ‘bout da deal she made with ‘im so Iz ditched her. Who knows where she’ at.” – she nodded as his eyes turned to something else. –“What’s ‘e doing here?”- she followed his gaze to her brother. She shook her head. Nobody was giving hima chance. –“I’m gona get some fresh air, Ellie.”- she nodded. As the doors closed and he wasn’t inside anymore, she looked back at Rath. –“See what you did? Can’t you just all give it a rest. I know he’s done bad things but he is my brother. It’s my fault he’s in this mess in the first place.”- she explains
“I agree with the moron. He’s still dangerous, your brother or not.” – he told him. Her eyes met his. –“He is your sister’s son. Have you no respect for that, Kal?” – she asked him. He shrugged. –“Sorry. But there is a history here that cannot be denied. And it’s not Zan Sr. killing your parents anymore. It’s your brother not obeying the rules your mother said.”- she gently shook her head to that.
“Kal, it’s not his fault. It was my plan. I wanted to get back at Zan for chosing Ava over me. I pushed so much knowledge on his in such a short time and he wasn’t ready. I can’t turn my back on him. For the sake of my mother, I have to atleast try to bring him back.” – Kal walked to her and put his hand on her shoulder. His other hand went to his chin picking her head up slightly.
“Princess, it your memory has been slightly swept away by everything. Do you not remember that the reason why Khivar was raised into royalty is because you sticked up for him when you were rarely babies. Your mother never wanted him. His light hair was a disguist to the royalty an-” – something stopped him from to talking. He let go of her shoulder and both of his hands went for his neck. She just looked at him without moving or blinking.
Zan walked forward to her. –“Ellie, let him go. Ellie! He’s just saying what he thinks he knows. You know the truth. You don’t have to kill him. Ellie!!” – Kal felt to the ground taking a deep breath. She looked at Zan for a second. –“You alright?”- she gently nodded her head but quickly shook her head as she leaned it on Zan’s chest. Close to the man she loved, she looked back at Kal who was standing on his feet again. –“I’m sorry, Kal.”- he waved his hand motioning her to forget about it.
”Don’t worry, princess. You’re right. I have no right. But it was worth . . . apperantly. Your powers have developed a great deal since our last encounter.” – he said moving his hand by his neck.
A car engine is heard outside. –“Khivar!”- she pointed and ran towards the doors, Zan and Kal followed her. She came out, only to see the big gates close behind him. She shook her head knowing it had been this conversation. He must have heard about it. She looked back at Zan. –“I keep trying to help but everything just turns out wrong, Zan. Why is that?”- she asked him as he pulled him to him and her head rested on his chest.
Why I brought my diary on this trip, I couldn’t really explain it. I think it’s because I want Kal to have it for save keeping. I just don’t think my parents are ready for any of this.

Chapter 33
Kal sent two of his best men to look for Khivar but nobody could find him. It was the next morning, around 11 o’clock and the phone rang. Kal walked to the phone and picked it up. –“Kal Langley speaking . . . oh hey, man, it’s been forever. Yes, I know . . . I agree. Yea, I know. Alright, I’ll call her.” – he moved the phone away from his ear. –“LIZ! IT’S YOUR DAD!”- he shouted.
The group was in the living room. There were four couch’s there. On one sat Isabel next to Kyle, Tess sat next to Michael, who had Maria’s chair next to him. Max sat on one of them with Zan disscussing something silently and Ellie layed on the forth couch. They all heard the shout and Ellie quickly got up and walked out. Max followed her out of the room, not sure what she would do. She walked to Kal and took the phone from him.
Kal stood next to him as she took a deep breath and put the phone to her ears. –“Hey, dad.” – Liz’s voice came out. Max looked at Kal. –“I’m so proud of her, you know. I signed up for this mission knowing that I would meet some day.”- he said with a smile on his face, watching her talk. Max still kept looking at him but he didn’t say anything. –“You’re wondering about the voice, Max, right?”- Max nodded. –“I’m a shapeshifter, you know. My sister, actually Laqua was my half sister, shared the father with me. Both of my parents were shapeshifters but not Laqua’s mother. Ellie inherited the shapeshifting abilities but she barely uses them. With all the other powers, she’d be much stronger in using it, you know.”- he paused, feeling something else was bothering Max. He looked at him.
“How can she use her powers with only a wave from her finger and stuff like that?” – he finally brought himself to ask him. –“Oh, that. Well, Ryctor people have always been the gifted people. Not saying that the rest of us don’t have these gifts but they’re far more stronger. See, you Antar people have a few gifts but they’re weak and you’ve noticed how you get easily tired with them.”- Max nodded. –“Before she let us take the pods, she put a bit of her blood with you guys. I didn’t understand it right away but I had a lot of time to think about it. I think that she wanted you to be more prepared, with your powers a bit stronger when you come here. To protect yourself.”- he looked at Ellie. She was still on the phone with her Liz voice.
”But I can’t be sure about it, Max. You see, the granolith was created on Ryctor. It consists of an essense core of one of the eldest Ryctor king with these gifts. For generations, with the death of each rule, the granolith would take it’s essance and it would become much stronger. When your father took the granolith to Antar, he had nothing but respect towards it. I think that is how her powers are so strong.” – he nodded his head towards Ellie. –“When she dies, we must burn her. She will then become a part of the granolith, making it so much stronger. Because she is the strongest in her line. Noone before her would be able to bring such knowladge to her brother, not like she did it.”- he said and left Max with that, and closed himself in his office.
“You aight, man?” – Max turned around and saw Zan. He nodded and he watched his dupe pass him and walk to Ellie who just hung up the phone. –“You O.K.?”- she turned around and nodded. He put his hands around her waist and he hands went around his neck. –“How ya feeling?”- he asked her. She wondered for a second what triggered his New York accent but then she remembered that Rath was in town.
“I’m alright, Zan. My dad just wanted to check up on me. I was just feeling sad. All this Roswell life keeps pulling me back from everything. Sometimes, I just wish we could just move to a different planet, in a far away galaxy, away from Earth and Antar so we could raise our little girl together.” – she smiled as he watched her with his amber eyes as their foreheads met.
Finally he leaned his head to her and they kissed, his tongue touched her lips and she opened them for him. His tongue went in and met with hers. It dueled for a bit.
Max couldn’t help but feel jealous. He turned around and entered the living room with everyone’s eyes to him. –“She handed her dad.”- he said and walked back to the couch where he was sitting. Tess got up from hers and walked to him. He sat a bit to the side, to give her some space to sit down then he looked at her. –“You alright?”- she nodded.

In the middle of Los Angeles, Khivar pulled Kal’s car by the sidewalk and turned the motor of. He looked at the mirror and rubbed his eyes. Something was pressing his heart but he didn’t know what it was. He was doing what he always had but something in his head was telling her that he would hurt her, the only person who ever sticked up for him, even when they were children. Ellie didn’t remember or didn’t want to but Khivar did. He knew his mother never wanted him. He shook her head, removing all such thoughts from him and he got out of the car.
A woman and a short man walked up to him. Lonnie and Nicholas. Lonnie sat on the car but Khivar grabbed her hand and pulled her off it, with his hand going through it, to make sure that she didn’t do any damage. He hated when the Earth things made him like this.
He looked at Nicholas. –“What is she doing here?”- he asked his second in command. Nicholas looked at her. –“She followed me.”- and he got hit in the back of his head. –“You are an idiot. I thought people were just saying it because they were jealous because of your position. Margon will take your place. You’re coming second.”- Nicholas was ready to protest but the luck on Khivar’s eyes made him give it up. Khivar’s attention turned to Lonnie. –“How do you loose, not just your brother, but his bitch and his stupid friend? I thought he was on your side. Explain to me, Lonnie.”- he crossed his arms, waiting. Lonnie’s eyes narrowed hearing what he called her. She didn’t understand how he called her like that. It meant to her that he gave up on her.
“Zan was supposed to be dead. Ava skipped town. Rath would be here if Nicholas didn’t open his mouth.” – her cold glare fell to Nicholas, as well as Khivar’s. –“Now, look now!”- Nicholas was going to pick a argument with her but he felt someone’s hand on his shoulder. Khivar. He looked at him who just shook his head.
“Alright, listen up. This is going smoody but if any of you mess it up again, your head will be my dinner.”- he paused and looked at them. - “I hear it’s fun to eat people.” – another pause as he wanted to get back to what he was saying. –“This is the plan. Ellie is eating from my palm already. Isabel is going to fall for me. I’ve seen her, she’s not that hard. Not to mention that the guy she probably loved just died so I see no problem with it. And I will constantly remind Tessie of our deal.”- then he looked at them, waiting for their comments to his plan. He wasn’t going to change it but he like to humor the people who served him.
“My lord, I would like to try Isabel. I think I could brake her.” – Khivar shook his head. –“No. You failed enough. You had your chance with her and this time there will be no mistake.”- he answered and looked t Lonnie. –“Iz gona try going up Michael. If he’s anything like Rath, he’s a morron.”- he added and Khivar nodded.

The following day, Max needs answers from Kal. Ellie is almost 4 months pregnant while Tess has a week behind her already. –“I don’t have them, Max.”- Kal informed him. –“Well who does?”- Max needed to know. –“The book. The book about your destiny can explain everything.”- Kal answered. Max shook his head. –“We can’t read it.”- Kal raised his right eyebrow to that. –“You can’t? But you have someone who can? Who was born and raised with that language.”- Max looked at him for a second. –“Ellie.”- Kal nodded. Ellie would be able to read the book for them.
Max followed her out of the room, not sure what she would do. She walked to Kal and took the phone from him.

Chapter 34
The doorbell rang in the afternoon. Kal walked to the doors to open them. Ellie followed him, not completely sure why she did but she was right behind him when he opened the doors and found Khivar there. Khivar stretched his hand with the car keys and Kal took them and walked away from them swearing something they didn’t quite understand.
He took a step inside with his head down. Ellie stood in her position, with her head also down. Finally both looked up at the same time and their eyes. –“Ellie, I’m really sorry I took of like that.” – she shook her head at the same time. –“No, it’s alright. It’s my fault. I let them talk bad about you.”- with that, the siblings walked to eachother and hugged. Ellie rested her head on her brother’s shoulder glad that he was back.
Khivar got hit by the same confusing emotion in his chest. He couldn’t understand it fully yet but it clearly had something to do with Ellie.
<center>***</center>
Isabel sat at the kitchen table reading some old magazine without covers that she found on the table. It dated back to 1950 so she found it interesting to read and check on the old movie stars. Her long blond hair gently rested on both of her shoulders as she turned the pages and looked at the photographs in them. She didn’t even notice that she wasn’t alone in the room.
”Isabel.” – his voice suddenly came to her. It was gently and youngful. It showed a sweet autority charm with the desire to please so many people. She was startled by it and as she turned her head on her left towards the doors, her long hair fell from her left shoulder behind her back. Khivar was standing there and leaning agance the wall next to the closed the doors. –“I didn’t hear you there.”- she answered. He didn’t move so she didn’t move her eyes from him.
She didn’t lie to herself, she didn’t like him, not since she saw him on the day of Alex’s funeral. But at the same time, she couldn’t really stop herself from looking at him, his brown childish eyes and his hair chocolate brown with gentle curles on the front. His body hiding behind the leather pants, soft dark blue shirt and a leather west over it. She swallowed whens he realized that she was actually checking him out.
She turned away and faced forward hoping that he didn’t see it happen. But he did. His eyes were still strongly locked to her hair as she turned as a corky smile formed on his face. He knew she was easy.
He walked to the table and their eyes met again as she looked up at him. –“Can I sit with you?”- his question came to her ears. She didn’t move a single muscle for a moment or two and then she nervously nodded. He pulled the chair to him and sat on it. –“I feel like you hate my present.”- his next line came. It seemed like he was the only one talking here. She shrugged. –“I . . . it’s just that . . . I’m not very comfortable with you.”- she heard him sigh.
“I thought so. I thank you for your honestly, your highness.” – he said adressing her by something she didn’t believe she would hear. Not after what they had heard about him. –“I understand that what happened between us may be painful but I like to think of the time when I didn’t have this stupid mind.”- he said while his hand brushed through his hair before he placed it on the table. –“I wish to remember the time of us growing up together, the four of us. The way you smiled and the way you showed your attention to me.”- he watched her eyes. –“And I can say for sure that it was nothing like pitty. You cared for me. Even for a bit . . . ”- he looked down, braking their eyes eyecontact.
“No, Khivar.” – Isabel finally got herself to day. She was too good of a person to let him feel bad. True, before that terrible night, he was a wonderful friend. She barely remembered and most of it she got from Ellie’s memories but it made her feel like she knew him.
Her hand went to his as their eyes met again. –“Yes, you have done terrible things. But Ellie has aswell. And she is finding a way to regain herself and they all trust her. I’m sure if you try harder that it would be the same with her.”- What was she saying? It was like someone else was telling her what to do. Her mind was telling her to let go of him, get up and run away. But she stayed there, with her hand over his. She didn’t understand what kept her here.
His hand went over hers as they looked at each other. –“Do you really think so, your highness?”- his sad question came to her and she nodded. –“I do, Khivar. I’m not saying that it will be easy but we are forgiving. And please, call me Isabel.”- she added to which he nodded.
“Alright, Isabel. It’s a very nice name that your human mother has picked for you.” – Isabel blushed gently. She didn’t even realize that she stil had her hand between his on the table. She enjoyed someone’s attention.

Khivar sat outside by the pool and stared in the beautiful blue sky which reminded him of Antar. He heard the glass doors open and close. –“Been waiting for you, Tess.”- he just said. He didn’t look around. He could feel each and every one of their essence.
She walked slowly to him, with a bit of a nerveous walk. She stopped behind him as his hand motioned to the lawn chair next to his. She sat on it and looked at the dirrection of his eyes and found, nothing by the sky. She was never one of those to just sit and stare at the daylight skies.
”Tell me, Tess, how is everything with Max going?” – his soft and carring voice kicked in. He had an opening for every one of them. –“It’s . . . ”- she started but then there was nothing. He looked at her with his innocent brown eyes waiting for an answer. –“It’s going.”- she finally said firmly. –“Goood.”- he said with a long ‘o’. –“And the baby?”- he said with his eyes not leaving hers. She just nodded to his question and placed her hand over her stomach.
He resisted for a second and then he placed his hand over hers. He felt an instant connection for the child. He had no real relation to either Tess or Max but he knew what it was. This was his final confirmation. This child contained Ellie’s blood. It meant it contained a bit of the Ryctor royalty blood, the blood that made the granolith stronger.
His hand over hers, it came through to the child. He felt a birst of energy and suddenly he was flying on his back. His face was in surprise as well as disguist. That child would be trouble for him. He couldn’t allow for it to grow up. But he also knew that he couldn’t kill it inside of Tess because the protection around him. He got up staring at Tess’s stomach. His eyes finally met her blue eyes. –“What the hell was that? Why did it reject me? Doesn’t it know I will be its safetly?” – his questions came as he returned to his chair.
His hand went to Tess’s free and he took it into his arms. He took a deep breath calming down. –“I can protect this child, Tess, and you know it. Ellie, she is my sister but she’s also mean and she will take Max once she’s done with Zan. And that baby, that baby is the only one standing in the way of Max and taking over Antar.”- he told her, slowly, pointing out each and every word. He watched as her other hand came over his with fear on her face and her eyes slowly getting blury. –“Why? Why is she doing that? We’ve been through enough!”- she silently cried out. He only shrugged. This was when he was supposed to hug her but he wasn’t sure how the baby would react.
He took a shot and he pulled her close, rapping his arms around her. –“She was once good. I’m here to make sure she doesn’t fall deeper into the cruelty of her heart. I will protect you and the heir.”- he whispered into her ear and felt her head nodd.

Kal and Ellie sat in his office. Kal sat in his chair while Ellie sat on the table, with her feet in a cross position. They were laughing when the doors opened. Max came in. Both looked at him. It was the first time he noticed how alike they were. They shared the same dark brown eyes.
Ellie told him that she and Kal were catching up and Max wanted to know what they were catching up. Kal then made it very clear that he doesn’t like Max and he’s keeping up with all of them only because Ellie is on their side. Ellie asked Max to ignore him.

Michael led the wheelchair into the living room and sat on the couch next to it. For a few seconds neither said a word. Maria started first. –“So, this is nice, right?”- Michael nodded. –“You alright, Michael? You’ve been quiet forever.” – she pointed out looking at Michael worried.
“I’m alright. With everything that’s been going on, I’ve been sleeping with one eye open. Having our biggest enemy in the house and everything.” – he answered her and put his hand over hers. Their fingers interwinded as he gave her a soft smile and leaned over to her, kissing her on her cheeck.
He was truelly a great support to her through the entire time. She was glad that he turned out so much different from the first year.
The doorbell rang in the afternoon. Kal walked to the doors to open them. “I’m telling you, Max, Ellie and Khivar are the only two people who can read that book right now.”– Kal kept telling Max in his office but Max shook his head once. –“No! I can’t trust Khivar. Not after everything!”- he pointed and crashed into the chair across Kal. –“I know, kid. Ellie can do it for you then.”- he added and Max nodded, a bit unsure.
<center>***</center>
Isabel walked into the dining room and then passed into the kitchen. She found Khivar by the stove making something but she couldn’t really see what it was. He turned around with a smile on his face, and all she could think about was that he was glad that she was here. She blushed with a gentle shade of red and smiled back, sitting on the stool by the counter, watching him cook.
“What are you making?” – she finally asked him as he turned to her and made a wave towards her with his hand. Two plates appeared. One before her and one on her right. He didn’t say anything but turned around to make sure he didn’t burn it. –“Can’t tell you. I’d ruin the surprise, Isabel.”- was all that he told her.
A few moments later, he put the things that he was cooking on his and her table. It looked like a bunch of vafles but it wasn’t the usual color. It had a bit of a light blue color. As he walked to sit next to her, Tabaco sause appeared before her and glass of salt before him. She looked at the glass and then at him, confused. –“Oh, that. I’m not Antarian. I don’t need sweet and spicy. I need a lot salt.”- he said.
”But Liz used Tabaco in her coffee once.” – Khivar nodded. –“Coffee’s not sweet, Isabel. It’s bitter. Spicy and Bitter is something Ellie’s always done. Didn’t really understand it but her choice.”- he talked as he took his fork and knife and started eating. Isabel kept looking at her plate.
“Isabel, it’s Antarian pancakes. The blue color is from Lavender Bush that I found in the garden. It pretty much tastes the same as the regular.” – he added and took a bite from his plate. Isabel decided to take his word for it so she took the sauce and put a bit on it. Then she took her knife and fork and cut out a piece and took it into her mouth.
At the same moment she got hit by a sensation of flavours. It was wonderful. She could feel the spice from the sauce, the sweet from the pancake but also the smell of the flower. She took another bite once she was done and smiled at Khivar and continued to eat pleased.
<center>***</center>
At the same time, in the living room, Ellie got Max, Zan, Maria, Michael, Rath, Tess and Kyle. She wanted to tell them something. Kal joined in eventually. Ellie motioned him to sit down next to her. Max and Zan who sat next to each other exchanged looks of confusement.
“Alright, I just wanted to tell you something. Maria, I know the DeLuca’s have pride and all that but I wanted you to accept the care that Kal would provide for you to get better. A physical therapist to come to you twice a week.” – she said and looked and Kal who only nodded.
All eyes fell on Maria who seemed surprised by what her friend had told her. It was a wonderful idea but, as Ellie said, her DeLuca pride just kept kicking in and telling her that she shouldn’t do it. She felt Michael’s hand on hers and looked at him. He wanted her to do it, she could see it. Her eyes met Ellie’s as she nodded.
Ellie’s face glowed as she jumped towards her best friend, kneeled before her and hugged her, happy. It meant the world to Ellie to be able to help her friend, at least in this way. Both Max and Zan could see it.
<center>***</center>
Everyone else went elsewhere and Ellie was left alone in the living room. She brought her feet up and sighed feeling glad that all this moment did some good, at least to Maria. Her brain wonderful if it would have been for the best if she didn’t even live in Roswell. She could have just been raised in L.A. away from the whole club. That way, Max wouldn’t have to heal her and Maria and Alex would never get involved into this thing. Maria would be working in the Crashdown now and Alex would be sitting by the counter having a disscussion with her. She smiled to the idea. She didn’t realize that a tear left her eye and stopped on her checks.
The doorbell rang. Ellie got on her feet and walked into front room. Michael, Max, Zan and Rath were already there with their palms towards the doors. Kal walked down the stairs. –“Put your hands down. I invited her. She’s O.K.”- he said walking to the doors.
“One of your girlfriends, Kal?” – Ellie’s question came. He gave her a look before answering. –“I wish.”- Ellie could see the four guys lower their hands but only in a way so they could lift them right away.
Then she walked in. She was 5' 3½", with a thin body. Her hair was light brown and up. She wore simple black business pants, white t-shirt and a simple sweater over it. She took a step inside and looked at the two pair of boys and then her eyes fell to Ellie.
They could see her breathing turning rapid. She fell to the ground almost instantly and stared at the floor. –“I am unworthy of your eyes, your highness.”- Ellie walked to her and kneeled next to her, taking her hand and lifting her up straight.
“Yes you are, Eleanor. After everything you’ve done, not just for but for the royal four, you’re more then worthy.” – Ellie said with a smile and turned to the two pairs. –“Boys, this is Ellie. The protector that came to Roswell.” – she explained to Max, Michael, Zan and Rath. She could see their hands calming down then.
“Oh My God! You’re Jodie Foster!” – a screaming sound came from the hallway. Maria quickly tured her wheels towards her as Eleanor turned to her with a smile. –“Yes, I am.”- she said. Maria looked at Ellie confused.
“Maria, this is Eleanor. She’s one of the protectors. The one that saved the Parkers.” – she added. Maria still looked confused. –“Why is she pretending to be Jodie Foster then?”- Maria’s question came. They coud hear Kal’s laugh. Eleanor had a smile on her face.
“I’m not. When we came here, I needed to do something with my life. This is my primary look. Kal just made a movie star.” – she said with a bit of a giggle as Kal came to them. –“He called me this morning and I just rushed over.”- he attention turned to Ellie again. –“I remember from Antar. It is truelly an honor to meet you, your highness.”- she said.
Ellie waved her hand to that. –“Please, call me Ellie. Everyone does.”- she said and the two smiled at the same time. Max and Zan came behind of Ellie. –“Is she like another relative of yours?”- she shook her head to that. –“No, King Zan. I was marely a good friend of your mother, queen Myra.”- she added. –“A lady of the court.”- she added and nodded her head.
<center>***</center>
“Are you trully going to Roswell?” – Eleanor’s question came to Ellie. They sat on a couch, next to each other. Everyone else was in the room too. She nodded. –“Yep.”- she answered shortly.
“But it’s an alien themed town. Isn’t that insulting?” – her question came. Ellie shrugged. –“I think it’s the perfect cover. They have all these stories about the crash and aliens. Noone actually expects an alien in a 1000 miles radious of it.” – Eleanor nodded to it. –“You have a good point.”- she said. –“I know.” – she just said.
“So when do we leave?” – Khivar’s voice came from the doors. Eleanor’s eyes met his as she fell to the ground and kneeled before him. –“Your highness.”- she adressed. Max was surprised that she kneed before Ellie and Khivar but she didn’t call any of them ‘King’ or ‘Your Majesty’. Ellie took her hand and sat her back up.
“Eleanor, it’s good to see you. What has it been? 50 human years since you went agaist the old royalty?” – Eleanor nodded and looked away. –“Leave her alone.”- Ellie’s commanding voice came to the picture. Khivar just picked the couch that Isabel was sitting on with Tess.
“And yea, we are leaving.” – she said. –“But you’re not.”- Max added. Everyone’s eyes fell to him and Zan. –“Excuse me?”- Ellie asked surprised to what he said. –“I’m sure everyone heart, Ellie. He’s not coming.”- Ellie stood up and walked over to him. –“Who the hell do you think you are, Max? Just a freaking title ‘King Zan’, you don’t make the decisions to anything anymore. Khivar, you’re going.”- she said and left the living room.
<center>***</center>
The kids were ready to leave. Michael already had Maria in the Jetta and Tess joined them. Kyle, Khivar and Isabel were in the mustang. Zan and Max still waited for Ellie. When she finally didn’t show after 5 minutes, Zan got out of the jeep. –“I’ll go.”- Max said which stopped Zan. He watched his dupe nod and get back into the passanger seat as Max walked into the mansion again.
“Remember to call me now!” – he heard Kal’s voice. When he saw him, he was hugging two girls. –“We will.”- they said at the same time. Val and Liz were back. –“It was great meeting you, Eleanor!” – Liz said as both girls hugged her too.
They walked over to Max. He couldn’t see the stomach in Val. She passed Max, giving him a gentle smile. Liz stopped before him. –“Hi.”- he said. She smiled back. –“Hey.”- she answered. –“We should get going.”- she said and he nodded. She walked pass him but he caught up with her, taking her hand into his.
They walked out of the mansion as the doors closed on their own behind them. Zan and Val were kissing. As the two reached the door, Val and Zan were already in the back. Max helped Liz into the passanger seat and then sat at the drivers seat. He didn’t see her look in the mirror as she saw Zan and Val’s look to each other.

Chapter 36
After a long drive, everyone took it by surprise when Max turne towards the desert. Liz’s cell rang and it was Maria asking where they were going. Max didn’t answer her so she had nothing to tell to her friend. Finally he stopped the car in a clearing before the pod chamber. All four came out of the jeep. Max left them and walked to the mustang. –“Khivar, you stay here.”- he said. Val and Liz came behind him. Khivar looked at them for back up but Liz shook her head. They weren’t going to argue on this one.
“We’ll stay too, Maxwell.” – Michael said, opening the driver doors on the Jetta. Max nodded as everyone else walked into the pod chamber. Noone knew why they were here. He helped Tess get inside. Once everyone was inside, the doors closed behind them. Max let go of Tess and walked over to his pod and took the destiny book, handing it to Liz. She took it unsure and opened it. Nothing made sense. She looked at Max not understanding what he wanted from her.
”Kal said you can read it.” – he said. Val walked to Liz and looked into the book. The girls exchanged looks and then looked at Max. –“Sorry. It’s just symbols that make no sense.”- Liz said and returned to book to Max.
“How could they know how to read the book? If we can’t! It’s our language, Max!” – Tess bursted. –“Tess, Ellie is still from up there. She didn’t get reborn. To her, Earth writing is weird.”- he told her. She suddenly screamed and fell on her back. Max pulled her white tank top up and looked at the little glowing hand on her stomach.
He put his hand over it and felt a connection right away. He saw the baby move inside. It was dieing. He pulled back with his eyes blurry. –“My son is dieing. This atmosphere is killing him.”- he looked at Liz and Val who felt bad for not being able to help him.
“I want to go home, Max.” – Tess finally said. Max didn’t know what to tell her. –“To the Valenti’s.”- he told him and he nodded, helping her up. He had his hand around her waist while her hand was around his neck as they walked out of the pod chamber. Everyone expect Liz and Val followed them. Zan stopped at the doors and looked at them.
He walked over to the two. –“It’s not your fault. Who knows what they want. One minute they want the two of you and then they want Ellie.”- he told them. Both turned at the same to him and leaned on his chest. He put his arms around both of them. They needed someone right now. Someone who wouldn’t judge them for being Ellie or for not being able to read the destiny book.
He said nothing as they stood there, with his arms around them. Finally Liz moved her head from him. Val did the same and they walked out of the pod chamber. They found everyone waiting for them. Tess was in the passanger seat of the jeep. The two girls with Zan passed them and walked over to Kyle.
Isabel understood that they didn’t want to drive with the rest of them so she pulled Kyle’s hand. He nodded and handed his keys to Zan and joined Maria and Michael in the Jetta.
Liz sat in the back next to Khivar while Val sat in the passanger seat. Neither said a word as Zan started the car and drove them away. Everyone followed after that.

Thank you for the feedback. I like feedback, even when they're really long. Actually those are really fun. But sorry for being a little tired so I'll answer any questions and stuff tomorrow. Here's another chapter. Nighty night.
Chapter 37
Zan stopped the Mustang infront of the diner. All four got out. The Jetta pulled in after them and Kyle walked out with Isabel as the two got into the mustang and drove off. Val and Liz looked at Zan with a smile. Zan then nodded to Khivar not to go through the diner. The two men walked with Val into the back and Liz walked into the diner.
“Lizzie!” – she heard a familiar voice. Her father walked to her and hugged her. She hugged him back, glad to be finally home. This was home, no matter how she looked. It felt nice being in her father’s arms, with him calling her ‘Lizzie’ as he always did. Hugged, they walked into the back where their mother stood. She hugged her daughter then two and walked into the employee room and sat her down.
“Lizzie, we should tell you something.” – her father started as he and Nancy sat on Liz’s both sides. She put her hand on his shoulder. –“Dad, if this is about Alex, I know. Maria and I talked through the entire time. She told me.”- she felt her mother’s arms around her. She looked at her. There were no tears on her eyes. Her mother expected at least that. But Liz wasn’t ready to burst into tears. Something was stopping her. She returned the hug to her mother. –“I think I’m gona go lie down.”- they nodded as she got up and walked intot he back room and up the stairs, wanting to get away from her.
She closed the doors behind her and leaned on them. She saw Val’s head through the window right away. –“Is everything alright, Liz?”- her question came, to which Liz shook her head. –“My parents wanted to tell me about Alex.”- she said as she walked to the bed and lay on it, with her head on her pillow. But nothing came out.
Val got into the room and walked to her, putting her hands around her. –“It’s alright to greef, Liz.”- she told her but Liz didn’t cry.
<center>***</center>
A man knocked on the DeLuca doors. Amy opened them. –“Yes?” – she said rigth away. –“James Edwards. I’m here to see miss Maria DeLuca.”- he told her. –“Maria?!”- Amy said, only to find Maria coming towards her and looking at the man. –“I’m Maria.”- she informed him, not sure who he was.
“James Edwards. Kal Langley sent me. I’m a Physical Therapist.” – he intruduced himself as he and Maria shook hands. –“Alright.”- she said. –“What’s going on here, Maria?”- her mother asked her. –“Liz’s uncle got me a physical therapist, mom.”- Maria tried to explain.
“I’m sorry but we can’t accept this, mr. Edwards.” – her mother started. Just at that moment, Liz walked through the doors. –“Hi, I’m Liz Parker. Kal Langley’s neice.”- she said as the two shook hands. –“James Edwards.”- he added. –“It seems to be a mistake, miss Parker. Mrs. DeLuca-”
“Miss DeLuca.” – Amy corrected him. James Edwards decided to ignore it and he continued. –“Miss DeLuca said that she can’t accept.”- he told her. Liz nodded with a very serious face. Maria was ready to burst into laughter but she had it in.
“Could you excuse us for a second? I’m sure everything will be alright.” – she said to him. He nodded and she walked pass him to Amy and Maria. –“Miss DeLuca, I know it’s a lot. But my uncle Kal is taking care of it.”- she said, looking at her hopefully.
”Why is he doing that?” – Amy asked, still not able to believe it. –“Because, Maria is my best friend. And she had potential. Singing. He could make work. He is in the movie business but he does so many things. I think she could hit it off.”- she said, a smile forming on her face.
“Please, mom.” – Maria added. Amy finally nodded and took her purse. –“I’m going to see Jim.”- she said and walked to the doors and closed them behind her. Liz turned to James Edwards. –“She’s all yours. Maria has my number if you need me.”- he nodded and Lit left them.
<center>***</center>
It was late into the night. Liz pulled the car and she walked out from the driver’s seat while Val got out of the passanger’s seat. She looked around, the desert looked scary at night. They took each other’s hand and walked to the cave. Liz waved her hand over the invisable finger print and the cave opened.
Save inside the cave, they let go and took a deep breath. A light came from the pods as they exchanged looks. Liz walked towards the book. She found it just where Max kept it. She took it out and walked back to Val. –“So, what do we do now?”- Val’s question came to Liz.
Liz shrugged to that. –“We should get Ellie back. We need to understand this book. For Max’s son.”- Val nodded agreeing as Liz’s left and Val’s right hand met and their fingers interwinded. They felt a heat around them and then they saw with only one pair of eyes.
She looked at the book in her hand for a second, with her toughts barried deep into its covers, remembering of Zan’s mother. They never trully spoke to each other but Ellie remembered her. A smile came to her face as she opened to book. Before looking at the book, she looked around but found nothing to sit in. She waved her hand and a one person wide couch. She smiled and sat on it and started reading the book. It was as simple to her as English was.
Finishing the first page, she reached out her palm and a medium sized notebook appeared with a pen. She started writing into it, what said in the book, only in English. She paused where the images of their faces stood and let out a gentle smile. It was the beauty of the future on Antar, as well as Ryctor. When you wanted to know how someone would look in the future, it was so easy. Her hand instanty went to her stomach but she quickly removed it and continued to translate the book.
<center>***</center>
It was the very morning. Michael slept in his bed when there was a really loud noise. He quickly opened his eyes and looked up into the darkness of his bedroom. Second later, he was already on his feet with jeans on him. He walked slowly to the bedroom doors and reached his palm up as he opened them. He moved slowly into the living room and found Ellie, sitting there.
Their eyes met as she got up. –“What are you doing here?”- his eyes went to the clock on the wall. –“It’s 4 in the morning!”- he added finally.
“Michael, I’m really sorry. I was just going to leave you a note. I didn’t mean to wake you up. I can be clumsy and I don’t even know how did I get that.” – she said, holding out a medium sized notebook in her hands. Michael’s eyes fell to that and hers followed. She reached her hand with it to him. He took it and opened it. He quickly understood what it was about and he looked at her. She was already walking towards the doors. –“How did you-”- she turned around and faced him.
”I was going to be separeted again. I thought being Ellie was no good. But I cannot allow Max’s son to die on Earth. If Antar can save him, then Antar is where he shall be.” – she told him. He nodded as she walked out the doors leaving him there.
<center>***</center>
Only a few hours later, Michael called Isabel and Max to his apartment and showed them the notebook. They were surprised by what it said but they were grateful that they had the book translated, mostly because of Max and his son. After that, Max called a meeting in the Valenti house. He wanted Tess to be there but he didn’t want her to move much unless really needed.
<center>***</center>
In the afternoon, Tess lay on the couch while Kyle sat at the end of the couch with her feet in his lap. Jim sat on the end of the couch next to his son, on the higher part. Michael, Max, Isabel and Maria were also there but standing; with Maria in her wheelchair. There was a knock on the doors and Michael went to open them. Liz and Zan walked inside. Isabel, who was close to Michael could see the surprised look on his face. –“But Ellie was . . .”- he said.

Chapter 38
It didn’t take much after that, for Val and Khivar to walk through the doors. Everyone looked at them. Michael still kept the same face. –“But last night . . .”- he kept saying things that didn’t make any sense, for not a clear reason.
”Michael, we know Ellie came to see you last night. We couldn’t allow Max’s son to die on Earth so we combained.” – Liz explained and he finally nodded. –“This is a meeting, Liz. He has no business here.”- Max’s voice came to her. She looked at him and followed his look to Khivar. –“Fine!”- her brother said and walked out.
”Yea, fine!” – Val said as she and Liz walked after Khivar and slammed the doors behind her. Nobody went after them. There were bigger news right now. –“Ellie has translated the book.”- Max finally said and looked around at everyone. They were all surprised. His eyes fell finally to Tess, she had a bit of a smile on her face.
“Tess and I are going on Antar. Michael, Isabel, you don’t have to go if you don’t want to. It’s up to you.” – Michael told his sister and best friend and watched them nod.
<center>***</center>
As the meeting ended, everyone went home. Jim went out to work and Kyle took a walk. They left Max and Tess alone. He walked over to her and sat down as she adjusted herself so her head rested his his shoulder. –“Are we finally going home, Max?”- her question came to him.
”Yes, Tess. We are. We’re going to save our son.” – he told her. She looked up at him and smiled.
<center>***</center>
Kyle took a walk so he offered to walk with Maria. This left Isabel and Michael alone so they could talk about this risen choice. –“So, did he actually say it?”- Michael asked at her and she smiled with a nod. –“Yea, he did. Our choice.”- but they quickly got serious as they walked. To an outsider, it would seem like they were on a first date without any topics.
”What do you think? You gona go?” – Michael asked her. She shrugged. –“I’m thinking about it. I know he’s our enemy, but I want to try.”- he looked at her, not understanding her. Their eyes met as they continued to talk. –“Khivar. If he’s the bad guy everyone says, I need to know. If he’s only a victim of circumstance, then he needs to understand that he doesn’t have to be this mean man that everyone puts him out to be.”- she told him. She felt him grab her hand and she stopped walking. –“Do you realize what you’re saying, Isabel?”- his angry question came.
She freed herself from her grip. –“Yes, Michael, I do. But don’t you realize that Ellie is to blame too. And we opened our arms to her, just like that. ”- she said, with her voice as angry as Michael’s. –“But it’s Liz! How many time has she busted her ass for us?”- Michael asked then. –“I know. But Khivar never got the chance!”- she came right back in with her answer.
“I can’t believe this. Didn’t they say Velandra betrayed everyone because of him?” – his question almost broke her heart. –“How dare you? Ellie said it wasn’t my fault!! All I ever did was love Khivar! And trusted her!”- she said, as a tear fell to her check.
Michael saw her face and lowered his head. She was taking all of this personal. None of them knew nothing of their past lives but her. He knew he had no right. He pulled his arms around hers and pulled her to him. - “I’m sorry. I had no right.” – but he was surprised by the push to his chest. Isabel looked at him, as her face was filled with several other tears.
”You’re right. You had no right!” – she pointed out and walked away from him.

Chapter 39
Zan climbed into Liz’s bedroom, only to find her on her bed sobbing, with her feet close to her chest. He walked over to her and climbed on the bed silently. He watched her waiting for her to start. When she didn’t, he reached his hand and put it over hers to get her attention. She looked up at him. –“What’s goin’ on, Liz?”- his question came to her.
“Khivar. Val and I keep trying to help him but everyone around us keeps pushing him away. He has a chance to make it right but Max or any of them isn’t helping out. How do they expect peace?” – she watched him, waiting for an answer. He only shrugged. –“Why are you so O.K. with it?”- finally asking.
”I’m not. I’m just not saying anything. I can’t stand the guy and I don’t trust him. But I didn’t want to say anything. I’m not a good judge of character. Take Lonnie or Rath. I thought my sister would never go against me and I thought Rath would never go against her. I was wrong in both cases.” – he told her. A weak smile came to her face. –“Your oppinion is very imporant to, Zan. Just as it is to Val. We both know that see that you don’t like him but you don’t show it. Why can’t they be like that?”- her question wasn’t really for him. She sighed for a moment, getting lost in her thoughts.
A moment or two after, their eyes met again. –“So, how did the meeting go?”- she asked him. –“It was about the book. Max and Tess are goin’ on Antar ‘cos of thei’ kid. He let Michael an’ Isabel make their own choices.”- she nodded. –“It’s the right thing to do.”- she paused. –“I should go talk to him. I shouldn’t have walked out on everyone like that.”- he nodded as she moved closer to him and they hugged for a second.
”What was that for?” – his surprised question came. She just smiled for a second, thinking why. –“You’re a wonderful guy, Zan. And a friend friend. And I think you’ll be an amazing dad. What Ellie said . . . she meant it. You’re the man, and he’s just a kid.”- she paused, as a goofy smile came to her face. –“Just don’t get corky about it.”- he laughed.
<center>***</center>
Liz left Zan in her room and decided to walk towards the Evans home. On her way, there, she saw Isabel in the distance, in the beginning of the park and she walked towards her. As she came close to her, she realized that it wasn’t her. It was Lonnie. –“Lonnie?”- was what came to her mouth.
Isabel’s dupe looked up at her with face of hate and walked to her. –“Yo, b’tch! Been told ya saved my bro!”- her angry voice to Liz’s ears. She shook her head once, realizing that Lonnie thought she was Val. –“Lonnie, I’m not Val. I’m Liz. I didn’t save Zan. She did!”- she answered her right away. –“Ya just as bad!”- Lonnie continued ignoring. –“Ya stole Rath from me!”- she added. Liz shook her head again.
Lonnie stopped about 6 feet away from her. Liz’s hand quicky went before her as blue/purple shield, reminding of the granolith when active formed before her. Lonnie’s eyes almost fell out of her eyeballs when she saw it happen. –“What’re ya?”- she screamed her question. –“Ya don’t wana know.”- a familiar voice came behind Liz and stood next to her. Ava was back in town with her hair purple/blue and longer. Liz looked at her with a bit of a smile.
“Ya should blast her out of town, girl!” – Ava told her and Liz nodded. –“On three!”- Liz said. Ava nodded, lifting her hand infront of her. –“One . . . two . . . THREE!”- the blue shield dissapeared before them. Liz quickly grabbed Ava’s hand and Lonnie went flying. Ava was shocked how far she could throw her.
“Damn, girl! Iz think she went a mile!” – she said with a goofy voice, but Liz could hear a bit of a pride in it. She nodded. –“More like two, Ava!”- she added and turned her serious face. –“We should get to Max and tell him she’s in town.”- Ava nodded. –“Iz think Nicholas is too.”- Liz nodded as the walked to Max’s house.
<center>***</center>
A doorbell was at the Evans home. Isabel walked to the doors and opened them. Ava and Liz stood there. –“What is she doing here?”- was the first hing Isabel asked Liz. But Liz didn’t answer her. The two walked inside. –“Where’s Max, Isabel?”- Liz asked her. –“His room.” – the two girls walked to Max’s room. Not wanting to be left out right now, she followed them.
Liz walked to the doors and walked right in, forgeting even to knock. Max lay on the bed with only his pants on. Liz stopped there for a second. –“Liz, what’s going on here?”- his surprised question came. Liz walked to a chair and took a simple T-shirt and threw it to him. He took it and put it on.
“We got trouble, Max.” – she told him gently. –“What is she doing here?”- Max asked right away, looking at Ava. –“She just saved my ass from Lonnie, so I’m sure she deserves to be here!”- she said, looking at Ava before returning her gaze to Max. She watched him sit on the bed. –“Lonnie? She’s in town?”- he asked her. Liz nodded. –“And Nicholas.”- she add.
He got up and started walking around, realizing that she was right. This meant trouble. Isabel stood at the doors listening, not believing what she was hearing. Liz flipped her cell phone opened, as her eye met Max’s amber eyes. –“Gotta call Zan. He needs to know his sister is in town.”- she told him and he nodded. She pressed one button and put the phone to her ear. –“Zan! Lonnie’s in town. No, it’s Liz. Listen up! Lonnie is in town with Nicholas! Ava’s here too but she saved my ass from her. Alright. She’s there? Cool. Just tell her.”- she finished and hung up the phone.
<center>***</center>
Later that day, Max had everyone meet the four fo them in the desert, on the cliff. Zan, Val and Khivar came in one car. Michael came in the other and Jim drove Kyle and Tess in his car. He drove the car closer then everyone else so Tess wouldn’t have to get out.
“So you’re telling us that Lonnie and Nicholas are in town too?” – Michael’s misbelief showed in hos voice as he asked Max, who only nodded. –“What is she doing here?”- another question came, from Tess, directed at Ava. –“She saved my life, Tess. She gets to be here.”- Liz answered her.
“I know what’s going on here!” – a voice came from behind Zan and Val. Khivar. He walked before them, looking at Zan. –“He got tired of this little game so he called his sister and her new lover to get rid of everyone.”- Zan pulls up to his face. –“Ya’ve been on my back for far too long. Ya got a problem with me, we can solve it right her’, Khivar!!”- Zan demanded. Liz walked between them, putting her right palm on Zan’s chest and her left on Khivar’s chest. As soon as her hand touched Khivar, she got hit by a vision.
[Vision]
[Vision End]
Liz stared into Khivar as the vision ended. Both Max and Zan tried to get her attention by calling her name. Val suddenly pulled both of their arms shaking her head but without a word. Liz suddenly blinked and her eyes met Khivar’s. –“Brother dearest, I’m going to give you to ten. Then I’m going to hunt your down like an animal. And kill you.”- her voice sounded cold and bitter. Khivar swallowed. Before anyone could say anything, he started running away.
Liz’s eyes turned black. She looked around and her eyes met with Val who walked to her and they took hair. A light formed around them and Ellie appeared, she too had black eyes. She looked at everyone. –“This is his little dirty plan. And it seemed to be someone is about be punished.”- she said, with the same cold voice that Liz used a second before. Isabel opened her mouth to speek but Ellie dissapeared before them.
Max looks at everyone then to Jim. –“Stay here with Tess.”- Jim nodded. Max, Isabel and Michael hurried in the jim. Kyle decided to stick around. He walked to Maria who was still sitting in her Jetta. Zan and Val went to their car and drove after the three.
It only took them about 10 minutes until they finally caught up with Khivar. Both cars stopped and the five hybrids got out of the five cars. Ellie appeared then before them and walked to Khivar slowly who was now on his knees. –“Justice must be surved. You killed the king and his war commander. The princess killed herself because of you. You will pay, Khivar. And its payback day!”- she said as she lifted her hand in the air and the dagger appeared in her hand, the dagger that she killed herself with.
Max ran to her and stood before her. –“Ellie, you can’t kill him. You become just like him then!”- she didn’t listen to him. She looked back at her brother, he seemed so scared and patetic at that moment. –“Liz, you’re not evil. You never were. What you did on Antar was because of me. You were never evil. Don’t become evil now.”- Zan said walking behind her. She stopped and thought about this words. Max didn’t understand why he called her Liz.
She looked at her brother again, he was crying. The dagger dissapeared from her hands and she kneeled on the ground, crying. Zan kneeled next to her and rapped his arms around her. She didn’t move for a second but then she pulled away and moved to her brother. –“Why?”- she whispered to him. He looked at her. –“I’m sorry, Ellie. I can’t stop. I just can’t stop anymore.”- he told her, without looking at her. –“I love you. You know that. I even love Isabel but this stupid brain in me. It’s too hard for me. I’m sorry. Could you ever forgive me? Could you fix me?”- she didn’t move for a second and then her hand went to his chin, lifting his head up. A weak smile came to her face. –“You just said that you love Isabel.”- he nodded once.
Michael looked at Isabel but her eyes were on the two siblings on the floor. Michael felt bad for what he told her. He still hated the guy but he never considered the fact that his enemy could have feelings too.
Ellie looked at her brother and nodded finally. –“I will try, Khivar. And I will try to fix you. I had no right. I pushed to hard. I will help you. Everything will be better.”- she said, rapping her arms around her brother. He responded, his hands went around her waist. It felt good hugging her.
Life was confusing for Khivar. It was like he was a two person guy. Part of him meant every world he told his sister and he really did love Isabel. But then again, the smart part of him wasn’t so good.

[Vision]
