"Well, it was good, but I've seen better movies," I grin widely at his honesty. He takes my hand in his and my heart bursts with happiness. Never have I felt so at ease in my life. It's no surpise that stabilty has never been something I could count on my. My life had always been complicated, but sneaking a peek at our joined hands I realize that just the simple act of holding hands with him is amazing. "Yeah, it was okay. Although I knew who the killer was half way through."

I admit with a soft smile. "It was so obvious." I let out a little laugh as we reach his car. "So... Tess is out with Kyle tonight so I'm thinking I'll probably get the red ribbion on the bedroom door knob tonight. What do ya think? I let out a soft giggle at his expression.

"Kyle's one of my best friends ,but when it comes to the ladies he wastes absolutely no time. I'm afraid Tess is gonna throw him for a loop."

"Yeah, it was okay. Although I knew who the killer was half way through. It was so obvious." Maria says, and I throw her a look, causing her to laugh. Well, it wasn't obvious to me, or I wouldn't have jumped. I laugh along with her and when we get to the car I open her door.

"So... Tess is out with Kyle tonight so I'm thinking I'll probably get the red ribbion on the bedroom door knob tonight. What do ya think?" Maria asks me as we get in the car, and I give her an incredulous look. Did she really just ask me that? I so do not want to think about what Kyle and Tess might be doing right now. She giggles at my expression, and I recover again quickly. One thing's for sure, Maria likes to say what's on her mind.

"Kyle's one of my best friends ,but when it comes to the ladies he wastes absolutely no time. I'm afraid Tess is gonna throw him for a loop." she continues, and I nod my head in agreement. From what I've seen of Tess, there's more to her then what you see.

"Yeah, Tess seems cool. How is it living with her?" I ask, curious as to how Maria's new living arrangements are working out. Walking around to my side of the car, I get in as well.

"wow" she replies in a state of awe. I turn to look at her at the expression on her face is nothing short of magnificant."It's really amazing...I've never seen anything like this in New York, I mean we moved about a lot when I was young but um..Dad didn't like the heat so the desert was kind of out of the question" She seems slightly apprehesive about her father. I wonder what kind of man he was. I'm saying was because she refered to him in the past tense.

What happened to him? I start to ask ,but quickly stop myself. When she wants me to know she'l tell me in her own good time. As if she disreguarded that thought entirely she positions her body so that she faces me completely and I couldn't be happier."so what does one do at Lovers Point?" she grins mischeviously and I almost blush. She's quite forward. I've never met a woman who knew exactly what she wanted and wasn't afraid to ask for it. I admire that about her.

"Well," I pretend to ponder the question seriously before leaning forward with a seductive grin. "We could listen to music and talk or..." My voice trails off as I press my lipsto hers for an intense kiss. "We could do that." My voice comes out rather huskily but at this point I 'm beyond caring.

He nods in agreement and replies,"Yeah, Tess seems cool. How is it living with her?" I wait till he gets in and starts the car before reponding. "So far it's been great. Although coming from where I was prison would have felt like a 5 star hotel." I confess while looking out the window. The streets are completely empty. Everyone is at home safelt tucked in their beds. Do they even know how lucky they are? Pushing those thoughts away I focus on the present.

"Tess is wonderful. I couldn't have asked for a better roomate. She makes even the little things seem fun. Which is amazing cause... I don't know. I've.. never had a home before. Not really, and now I feel like I do." I admit not meeting his eyes.

"Well," Kyle begins to lean towards me with a smile thats melting my insides. "We could listen to music and talk or..." Omg Omg ohhh Kyle presses his lips to mine and I cant help but let out the moan that escapes my throat."We could do that." he says all husky oh ok thats hot.

Biting my lip, I turn look at the radio pretending to ponder my choices "hmm while the radio and talking is good..." leaning up on to my knees with one knee on his seat and one on mine, I know this is bold but Im not one to let what I want slip away...take, want, have.

"I prefer the other" I say licking my lips,Leaning in running my hands over Kyles chest, feeling the muscles twitch, the heat is esquisite...coming from my fingers or his chest I'm not sure but it feels amazing. It's like magic but I know theres no alien mojo going on here It feels good because it's us, not because I need the extra stimulation like I have in the past. Pretty much all the guys I've had in past not that there are that many but the ones that there were, were all about them there was always something missing but it's like with Kyle it's different, better like he wont leave me wanting.

Our lips touch again and Im still sliding my hands up and down his chest,I think he must work out cause he's really muscle-y.I slid my tongue along his lips and moan again cause he tastes sweet and spicy all at the same time, my favourite combination. I scooch closer to him as I move my hand so they are touching his face, my eyes are closed but I can feel how beautiful he is, I mean I've seen his face but he is just wow.

Maria tells me, looking out the window and seemingly everywhere but at me. I get the feeling that she's avoiding my gaze, so I just focus on pulling out of the parking lot and driving down the road.

"I'm glad that you're life's turning around," I tell her with a smile, being honest. I mean, I saw Hank, and I saw the bruises. I know for sure that she's better off at Tess' house, and I'm really happy that she's happy. Taking one hand off the wheel I find hers in a gesture of comfort.

We are silent for a few minutes, and I figure Maria's just thinking about Tess and everything. I glance at the clock, and realize that though it's sort of late, I really don't want to go home. Glancing again at Maria Maria as I turn down another dark road, I ask her.

"Hey, I don't know about you but I'm not ready to go home yet. You wanna...I don't know, go do something else or just hang out somewhere?"

"I'm glad that you're life's turning around," He replies and I take each word he utters to heart. His hand magically finds mine and his strong fingers lace with mine ,and I can't stop my eyes from staring down at our joined hands completely infatuated with this beautiful man I just happened to stumble upon. What have I ever done to deserve such devout loyalty? I'm not a particularly good person. Don't get me wrong. I don't kick puppies or anything, but I've never done anything remotely special. So how did I wind up with such an amazing boyfriend? Am I allowed to call him that?

We ride along in a comfortable silence and I notice he keeps looking at the clock funny. Hmmm. Surprising me beyond belief he turns off onto a dirt road. Thinking he must be lost I start to point out the correct way to my house by saying."Hey, I don't know about you but I'm not ready to go home yet. You wanna...I don't know, go do something else or just hang out somewhere?" There a nervous stammer in his voice that both catches me off guard and excites me.

"Sure." Trying to think over possible locations I reason out loud. "Well, The Crash is closed ,and the only other popular place to hang out for people are age is... Lover's point." Finding it too difficult to curb my curiocity I question,"Have you ever been there... with someone I mean?" Why does it even matter? I mean he's a guy I'm sure he's been dozens of times with alternative chicks. Still, Michael has always struck me as different.

"Sure." Maria says, looking at me surprised. Then she thinks about it for a minute, before offering some suggestions. "Well, The Crash is closed ,and the only other popular place to hang out for people our age is... Lover's point."

I'm surprised that she mentions lover's point, because, well, it is our first date, and I've only known her for a few days, but a part of me is glad that she mentioned it.

"Have you ever been there... with someone I mean?" Maria asks, and I continue to drive aimlessly down the dirt road, biding my time until we decide where to go.

"Once or twice," I answer casually. Well, in truth it was once, and the girl I was with sort of broke down in tears thinking about her ex boyfriend two minutes after we got there. Needless to say I took her home. I don't want Maria to think I'm some freak or anything though.

"Why? Do you...um, want to go there?" I ask slowly, like my mind can't believe I'm even asking. I'm curious to know whether she's been there before, but I just don't want to ask her. Hopefully if she wants to tell she will. She's probably had loads of boyfriends, but I don't particularly feel like thinking about that.

I'm also curious as to whether she just brought it up, or if she really wants to go there with me.

And then...she logs on. I swallow hard. This is where she's gonna start talking to me isn't it. Start yelling and shouting....
My screen name is Max. I don't have anything else to put. What do you put when you have nothing.
I look at it. Maybe....maybe its time to change it. Clicking so I can alter it I consider what to put. I consider "sober Max" "new Max" "Changed Max" "Max Evans".... but I can't think of something good.
So instead...I put in something simple.
I type in the box a line from a song I love.
"I won't go. I can't sleep. I can't breathe"
The next line is until your resting here with me...but Im not sure if thats what I want right now. Im not sure of anything....
And she doesnt say anything. Maybe she'll never talk to me again.
Is that a good thing? Or a bad thing?
I don't know anymore.

I sat there looking at the screen. I notice he had change his screen name. I don't blame him for being mad at me. But people do make mistakes and I made the biggest one. I told him how sorry I was. I told him I didn't mean it. But he was too heart broken to ever look at me or love me again.

Those words keep repeating in my head. "He hates me" I said out loud. I looked at my screen name, It was loving girl, but I don't feel that way anymore. So I go to my screen name and edit. 'Unknown speck'. That how I feel most of my life and part of me didn't fee like that way when I was with him. But now I'm not and I have to deal with it.

Folding the sweater, I put it in a bag that was next to me and zipped the bag up. I will drop it off tomorrow morning before going to the crashdown. I looked back at the screen and just keep staring at it.
