no, just give me the chance to read up and make my catch up post... I'm going to be doing that most of today and try to get the post out... and that should be good... warning though... the 25th and 26th, I won't be on... I am moving to Kentucky... after that, I should have constant access.... but it might be a bit before I'm totally settled.

After I'd called out for Isabel I hear her call out her own response, "Coming!"
"Hey guys." She says as she enters the kitchen and comes over to give me a hug. I return the embrace and give my sister a smile before finding my gaze drawn back to Liz. Guilt sweeps through me. She's my girlfriends friend and yet I feel so drawn to her.
"Hi." Isabel says to the others with a smile.
"Deal." Liz finally says and I know it's in response to my earlier question and comments. She bites her lip and it looks so cute and attractive that I find myself watching until she turns away.
Zan ends up coming out shortly after Alex goes towards the room to get his son. I'm almost certain he heard the little boy and woke up. Still, he's good about not making it known. Zan introduces himself to Liz and then begins to tease Tess which simply causes me to smile. Then things center around Alex's son and cookies for a bit. Alex telling a story about when he and Serena were children. Things go on around me and I kind of begin to space out and think about the case I'm working on. I'm bad at that. Work always seems to take a place in my mind.
"So... Tess you mentioned something earlier about shopping. You want to take me on my first spree in a new town?" I can't help but groan just as the others do and have to agree when I hear my brother muttering for her to take it back.
“I would love to take you shopping. Macy’s is having a huge sale. Oooh and maybe we could head over to Bloomingdale’s or Saks. Or we could head straight to Madison Avenue. They have Prada.” Tess starts going on and I can't help but shake my head. Again, my mind begins to wander until I hear the lovely brunette's voice again.
"You know on second thought maybe we could just grab something to eat. I'm famished." I see that smile and am instantly hit with a strange longing that I don't quite understand. I suggest with a cheerful smile.
“Food would be good too,” Tess agrees and I sigh in relief. “Actually, food would be great. I haven’t eaten too much today.”
“Do you guys want to join us?” Tess begins asking, and I hesitate to answer, thinking that it might not be the right thing to do. “Lawson, do you want to get something to eat?”
Zan and Serena are out. Tess looks toward me and my sister, “Izzy? Max? Are you in or are you out?”
"You should come. It'll be fun." At that moment, I feel like I couldn't deny her anything.
"Erm...In....Might as well...." Isabel replies and I try to think about whether I should. I try to picture Maria but it fails.
“Seriously?” Tess tries to tease, joking as she continued, “I never pictured you as the type of person that wanted to visit a nudist beach. You better get a towel otherwise you’re end up getting sand everywhere and I’m pretty sure that it’s a uncomfortable experience.”
“I’m kidding!” Tess exclaims when Isabel seems to freak out. “We're going for out for some food.”
"You...." Isabel begins and I can't help but grin, "Grr....I swear if children were not present....there would be serious chasing around the dining table!"
“That’s such a mean thing to say, Isabel. Especially about your brother!” Tess continues to tease and I'm wondering which one of us she's directing this toward, “Just because Zan is a little slow and mentally on the same level as a five year old doesn’t mean you should treat him differently. He is a very special adult.” Her voice becomes googooish, “Do you want a cookie, Zan?”
“That’s real cute, Blondie.” Zan replies and takes the cookie, before replying. “I hope you still find it as funny the next time its pouring down with rain and you‘re stranded down at Madison Avenue cause I‘m not coming to pick you up again.”
Next thing I know they are going back and forth and she's being lifted off her feet. This was just too much and I began laughing, unable to hold back the amusement. This was like old times, before the law office had taken so much of my life up.
“Jackass,” Tess mutters after Zan finally drops her, none to easily before looking at my sister and the angel. “Are you guys ready to head out? I’m starved.”
"Ladies, are you sure you want a guy tagging along?" I found myself asking before I could chicken out. I wanted to get to know Liz better, even though it wasn't exactly the brightest move with Maria on her way back. Though, wouldn't she want me to get to know her friend? I was finding reasons, finding excuses and hoping that I could make them hold up in my mind.

ooc: storm, hope it's alright I moved Michael off the airplane, if it isn't I'll change it.
Maria
"It's alright, as long as you feel better about things, that's all that matters. I've been in worse turbulance. Just try to relax and keep your breathing evened out," Michael tells me and I smile at him, comforted when he squeezes my shoulder reassuringly.
It takes me only a minute or two to fully calm down, and right when I'm about to thank Michael, the pilot comes over the intercom again.
"We are now through the turbulence and preparing to land at the airport. Would everyone please fasten their seatbelts and thank you for flying International Airs."
Double checking my seatbelt again, I smile at Michael.
"I for one am glad we're going to be on solid ground soon," I joke, leaning over him to look out the window. "Home sweet home."
Twenty or so minutes later I'm following Michael off the plane, glad to finally be able to walk around. Leaving the Terminal, I stop at the sight of a starbucks in the airport and let out a sigh of relief. "Coffee."
Turning to look at Michael who is still behind me, I grin at him. "You want to grab a cup? It's the least I could do for you after helping me through my 'near death' experience," I continue, finger quotes and all.
I know I should be hurrying home to my boyfriend right about now, but after a few days, another hour won't hurt, right? And besides, Michael was very nice on the plane. He deserves some sort of repayment.
Part of me wants him to say no, so I won't feel bad about Max at home, but I really want him to say yes. I mean, after today, I won't see Michael ever again, so it's no big deal. I mean, it's just coffee.

"Ladies, are you sure you want a guy tagging along?" The amber eyed hottie who is and I repeat 'Off Limits' to me, asks with a sparkling glam in his eye. For some reason I feel the need to assure him of his place. Not that I know exactly what it is. I just met him and yet... he's smile is so familiar to me.
"I don't mind." I shrug noncommitedly. Of course I don't want to appear to anxious. After all he may be the sexiest man alive but he's my new roomate's boyfriend, and the last thing I want is to cause some Melrose Place like Drama all up in here.
Tess whose as bouncy as usual grins widely and I can't help but feel that her cheerfulness is contageous.
"In fact, I insist that you do." I start with a new found ease.
"I'd actually like to pick your brain if you don't mind."

"Haven't seen Michael in a while. Any big chances in his life that I should know of?" Alex says, causing me to frown at his back when he turns to speak to the others. "You are all of course also invited. We should all fit into my place."
I don’t know how Alex can act so casual about not seeing Michael. Out of everyone, its been Michael who has really helped Alex with Seth, it was Michael who felt the lose of Abby as severely as he did and understood better then anyone.
I lean back into Zan’s embrace and wait for Alex to turn his attention back to me. I’ve got some questions for him that I need answering like last week. I mean honestly, you don’t imply that you haven’t spoken to your best friend for years and then turn and speak to someone else. Its just not done because it suggests trouble and fighting and all sorts of bad things that ruin friendships.
“Hey, buddy. Focus back on me.” I order, finally having enough of Alex’s wandering attention. “What do you mean that you haven’t seen Michael in a while? He is your best friend, you shouldn’t be asking me about changes in his life. You should be telling me what’s going with him. I mean, I assume you know that Michael is coming back to town. You two haven’t fallen out have you? I swear if you have I will lock you up in a room until you kiss and make up!”

ALEX
I grimace at my cousin's words. "Thanks for an image that I won't get out of my mind so soon. I bet you did that on purpose!"
Running a hand through my hair, I add, "Maybe I said it wrong earlier. I talk regulary with Michael on the phone - especially lately when I was busy with moving. We haven't actually *seen* each other, we talk on the phone, that is it and ... unlike many women, we don't talk that much on the phone."
I don't know if my explanation makes sense, especially since I don't feel guilty or anything. So, we haven't seen each other in a while, so what? We won't stop being friends because of that.

"In fact, I insist that you do." Liz says to Max. "I'd actually like to pick your brain if you don't mind."
“That’s all settled then.” I state with a smile at Max and Liz. “But can we talk and walk people. I’m really hungry, I think I could eat a horse.”
I grab a cookie off of the table to eat on the way to the restaurant. Wow, those cookies disappeared quickly. I wonder where Seth put them all. He’s such a tiny kid, very adorable though. I bet it must be so much fun buying clothes for a child. They have the coolest things ever. I can’t wait for Serena and Zan or Maria and Max to have kids so that I can be cool Aunt Tess who buys all the neat things. Its going to be awesome.
Liz seems to have fit in with the group well. I hope that she decides to hang out with us more often. Its normally a lot of fun when we all together, not that we all together as much as we used to be. A lot of the time its just the girls hanging out at The Wreak at the weekend or here in Serena’s apartment during the week. Max and Zan always seem to be working lately, which sucks. I miss hanging out with them even though I see Max every day at work, its not the same.
“We going now,” I say to Serena giving her a quick kiss on the cheek. “Are you sure you want to be left with your loser boyfriend?”
“At least she’s got a boyfriend.” Zan says with a grin, which quickly fades when Serena elbows him in the stomach. “Ouch, damn it Serena. That hurt.”
“You‘re such a jerk.” Serena says with a shake of her head.
“Tess knows that I’m joking. Don’t you, Tess?”
“Uh huh, I know.” I nod before kissing Zan’s cheek. “Lawson might have you but I have a pair of Prada shoes that make my legs look amazing.” I turn to Alex and flash him a 100watt smile. “Alex, Seth. It was really nice to meet you.”
I grab my purse, making sure that I have cash, credit cards, lip balm and my cell. Four things that I wouldn’t be able to survive without. I check my cell briefly to see if Maria has tried to phone or left a message but there’s nothing. Damn, I wonder where she is. I would have thought her plane would have landed by now.
“Okay, people. Let’s go. Max and Liz you can talk about whatever you’re talking about.” I say before turning to Isabel with a grin. “And Izzy, you’re with me, walking upfront. The walk to the restaurant will be the perfect time to play catch up. So tell me have you photographed any good-looking men lately?”
