Before I can react Maria waves her hand and I fly back into the wall, slamming hard into it and falling to the floor next to Michael. I groan and look at Liz and Sebastian. "Get out of here." I cry and then in one last desperate attempt I try to get to my feet but find I'm too weak.

I look back up at Maria through blurry eyes. "Maria. This isn't you. The real you would know that Liz and I would never betray you. The real you would never hurt me or Michael or Liz or Max or any of our other friends." I cry.

I walk forward. "Maria, I know the real you is there. I know you know we didn't do anything. I know you know you love Michael. I know you could never do this."
I look at her determinedly.
"So if you want to kill me Maria go ahead, as Im going to stand here and let you. I remember everything about you Maria. How you would look after me when I hurt myself, how you would nurse me better. How you would stand watch over me when the bullies were after me. How you would comfort me when I cried. I know you care about Michael, and Tess. And I know you could never kill me Maria. So if you think you can go ahead. Because without you I have nothing. I might as well be dead anyway."
I swallow. "So take your best shot Maria. No one's going to stop you"

"I think I can manage peeing on a stick without any assistance from you...but thanks for asking.I'll only take a minute." With that I go into the loo,read the instructions,follow them and go back out

I struggle to my feet holding onto the wall for support and stumble over to Liz. "The same goes for me to. Our lives aren't worth living without you in them. So go ahead and take your best shot." I say determination solid in my voice and my stance.

15 minutes...and we get resuslts that could change our lives...but strangley I am or scared or even nervous. I know its going to be ok..as long as I have Isabel.

Seeing him siting on the edge of the bed lost in contemplation I approach him and sit on his lap "Penny for your thoughts." I ask as I smooth out his ruffled hair

Tess screams for Liz to leave but with the flick of my wrist the exit door is shut and locked.

"No one is going anywhere. Not until I rid myself of this humanity, and you are going to help me do it."

"Maria. This isn't you. The real you would know that Liz and I would never betray you. The real you would never hurt me or Michael or Liz or Max or any of our other friends." Tess pleads her eyes searching mine for the giid that once resided there but does no more.

"You'd like to think that wouldn't you. That this is all just a big bad dream, and that you'll wake up in your safe bed with your family downstairs making you feel safe and protected. Yeah when I was crumpled over in the floor fighting the inner torment of a thousand hells I wished that too, but this is reality." I laugh bitterly.

"I never thought you would believe a man you've known for 2 seconds over me. I also couldn't have imagined that while I was fighting the hardest battle of my life that my family would be plotting against me. You forget... I have Sebastion's powers I could read your thoughts. You were both wondering how you could vanquish me." I try to supress the human emotion that begins to come to the surface.

"It doesn't matter now ,because I have had a glorious awakening. With these powers I don't need you. Unlike before I can do this all on my own without the help of Brutus1 and Brutus2." I glare pointing at what was left of my tarnished family.

"The only thing I need from you is to chant one last spell with me. So I can rennounce my title as a Charmed one. Once that is done my place in the Deluca line will be vacant and you can find another naive idealist spirit to take my place."
