I shut the door behind him.
"Alex..." I say hugging him, hoping I don't cry. "I don't know what to do!" I tell him..there come the tears...great....

"If you want, I can look in the dark arts books. After all, I know what to expect and stuff, and I've already been corrupted by evil once," He flashes me a sweet smile and I feel myself shiver under his gaze.

"No. I want you to stay as far away from that as you can."

He looks a little uneasy so I go over to the book.

"Look I know you are a little unsure of everything. Especially yourself. I want you to come here."

I take his hand in mine as I explain.

"This book is my family's legacy. It has been with generations of Deluca's. True Evil csnnot touch it. I have faith in you."

I state as I place his quivering hand on top of the book.

Maria places my hand on the book, and I can feel some resistance from the evil residing in me, but, amazingly, I soon feel the leather cover of the book beneath my hand.

"So if I can touch it, that means...." I reply weakly, backing off a bit. "I'm not evil?"

"I'm not evil?" he mumbles with a twinge of saddness.

"No. You are not." I step closer to him. Placing my palms on his cheks I draw him closer placing a soft and hopefully comforting kiss on his lips.

"No. You are not." Maria replies softly, placing a reassuring kiss on my lips. Now that was something I wasn't expecting, kissing her back, I realize I haven't felt this way for someone for a very long time. I want to be able to protect her, and if I'm not evil, it'll be easier for me to do so. I don't break our connection, but rather I bring my hands up and place them on her waist protectively.

I enjoy the feel of his strongs hands as they move up to my waist in a protective embrace.

I place my arms around his neck drawing him closer. It's almost like I can't enough of him.

I break the kiss hesitantly. "Michael?" I really don't know how this is going to change things ,but I hope for the better.

"What?" I ask, seeing as she sounded hesitant. I remove my hands from her waist and stand there awkwardly for a moment. After a long pause, I speak again. "Should we get back to work?"

Standing on my tip toes I kiss him gently. I feel like sparks are between us.
