I took her small hand in mine, "liz i think it's quite obvious that I like you more than friends, and yet I know that I don't know you compeletly...but I know you, just by the way you talk to your cousins, how you approach a situation, how your eyes light up with you excited. Or how you tense up when you upset or uncomfortable. I guess what I'm trying to say is that-- Lady Liz Parker will you go out with me? I mean once I'm better of course, I can't dance with cracked ribs." she starts to laugh. "So, is that a yes? I promise you, no funny business, just dinner, dancing, and just getting to know one another. And if we have a good time--then who knows maybe there will be a second or maybe even a third. What do you say Miss Parker?" I told him gently kissing her hand.

I felt a shiver pass through me as he touched his lips to my hand. Shaking it off, I pulled away slightly. "Ok, Mr. Evans, you've got a deal." I said, standing up and leaning over him. "And not just because you look so cute all wounded and sincere," I said, laughing and giving him a kiss on the cheek. After a while, however, I sobered, turning my back to him. "Don't hurt me," I pleaded in a whisper.

I felt confidant but...what if she hates you?...asked a small voice in my head

Tess and I went out for lunch and we had a good time.I took her around town and then for a movie.

Once we got home everyone was busy getting ready for the ball..."I'll see in an hour or so Tess,save me a dance will you." I said giving her a quick kiss on the cheek

As we dance around the room, I finally think I'm getting the hang of it. "I'm glad Isabel left," I say, grinning at Maria. "Because now I can do this." I bend forward and kiss her softly.

"How did she know about us?" I ask a moment later. "Not that it matters though."

I sat in my room,ready well ahead of time not knowing what to do.I could hear he hustle and bustle downstairs,Aunt Amy taking care of last minute preparations.

"I am bored!." I said out aloud

I switchd on the t.v. since I had nothing better to do.All I had to do now was wait for Maria to call me before she went downstairs to greet the guests along wiht her parents.
