Summary: Takes places after the granolith leaves Earth

Tess had just left in the granolith. Max was talking but Liz wouldn’t listen anymore, she walked away from the group and started walking back to town. She heard Max yell after her but she kept on walking. Kyle told the others that he would drive Maria and Liz back to town and that he then would return to get them. Maria got in his car and he drove up next to Liz.
“Liz, get in the car, I’ll drive you back and I’ll get the others afterwards.”
Liz didn’t say anything but got in the car. Kyle drop Maria off at her house and then Liz at the crashdown.
“Kyle?”
“Yeah?”
“I need to get out of this town for a while.”
“What do you need?”
“After you’ve taken the others home, come and pick me up.”
“I’ll be here.”
Liz nodded and went to her room. When she got in there she noticed a letter on her bed.
Liz,
Your father and I needed to go to a convention; we’ll be back in a couple of days.
Be good.
Love mom and dad.
Liz read the note and tossed it on her desk. She grabbed a bag and started to fill it up with clothes. She took a peace of paper and wrote a note to her parents.
Mom and dad,
I need to get out of this town, I don’t know when I’ll be back, but I need some time. I need to get over Alex his death and that’s not something I can do in this town.
I’ll be fine and I’ll call you soon.
Liz
She heard the doorbell and took her bag, she grabbed her journal, a couple books her grandma left her, some jewels and some money. She put them in her backpack and walked out of her room. She left the letter to her parents in the kitchen and walked out of her home.
“Where to?”
“The airport.”
Kyle drove her to the airport and helped her with her stuff. He walked her over to the check-in desk.
“Liz, I’m not going to ask you where you’re going because I know senior el presidente will try and get me to tell him where you are. I am going to ask you to call me ones a week. Can you do that for me?”
“I’ll call you Kyle; tell Maria that I’m sorry but that I need some time.”
“I will. And Liz, don‘t tell me anything that they can‘t know.”
She hugged him and watched him leave.
“Hi, I would like a ticket to New York.”

Part 2
Liz had arrived in New York and checked in into a hotel. She had left her bags in the hotel and was walking around. She felt a slight pulling in the back of her head; it was as if someone was trying to contact her. She decided to follow the connection and it let her down the sewers. She heard mocking voices.
“Look at them; they’re not even better then humans.”
Liz toughed that that voice sounded a lot like Isabel. When she got closer she saw Ava lying on the floor using her body to cover Rath’s. Rath was barely breathing. Ava was using a shield. In front of them stood Lonnie and Tess. Liz felt her arms burning and looked down her arms where covered in green sparks.
Lonnie continued.
“Didn’t you kill a human using this technique?”
“No, you use only mind control, I use a combination of mind control and mind wrap.”
“Who did you kill?”
“Your dupe’s boy toy.”
“The geek?”
“Yeah.”
Liz moved closer and Ava saw her. The sparks on her arms where growing brighter when she heard Tess continue. “I even made that idiot king think I was pregnant, I mean how stupid can you be, thinking that I would sleep with a loser like that.”
Lonnie smiled and looked at Rath. “I made that one kill his best friend.”
Liz cleared her through and the two turned around.
Liz raised her hands and fried both Lonnie and Tess. The two fell down on the floor and Ava dropped her shield.
“Cornball?”
“Hey Ava.” Liz said before slipping to the floor.
Liz slowly crawled over to the two.
“Want to tell me what was going on?”
“Liz, do you have any power left?”
“I think so; this is the first time I’ve got them.”
“Can you try and fix Rath up.”
Liz nodded and Ava helped place Rath’s head into her Lap. He opened his eyes and Liz got sucked in. She didn’t know what she should do but felt Rath’s own powers guide her. She followed his powers and found a block in his brain and removed it. She felt Rath’s breath returning to normal and left his brain. Ava was slowly trying to get up when Liz focused her attention on her. Ava’s leg was broken and she was holding herself up against the wall.
“How is he?”
“He’ll live.” Liz answered as she was weaving her fingers absently through Rath’s hair. He had his eyes closed.
“Tess came here earlier today while I was hiding while she was talking to Lonnie; there were a couple of things I left here back. I saw how they went through Rath’s head and I heard them talking about how they where going to be by Khivar’s side. How they where going to be the most powerful beings on Antar. Rath snapped out of their control and tried to kill them. I don’t know what they did to him but he fell down and I came in to help Rath and Tess was controlling him, she used him to blast my leg, breaking it. I pulled my shield up over myself and him and they started mocking us and then you came in.”
“We should get out of here.” Ava nodded.
“Can you heal your leg?”
“Not right now.”
“Can you walk a bit?”
“Yeah.”
Liz looked down at Rath and saw that his eyes where open. “Hey, didn’t I kiss you once?”
“Yeah, you did, do you think you can walk?”
“I think so.”
“Good.” Liz moved him so that he sat up and got up herself. She held out her hand and helped Rath up. He immediately fell back against her.
“Maybe I can’t walk much.” She smiled at him and let him lean against her, Ava was leaning against her other shoulder.
“Cornball, where we going?”
“My hotel.”

Part 3
After they got into Liz her hotel room. Rath went to lie down on the bed and fell immediately a sleep.
Ava and Liz started talking about what happened in Roswell.
A couple hours later Rath woke up.
“Zan, I need to see Zan.”
“Rath, he’s dead remember, you killed him?”
“He’s not dead, I told him, and he’s not dead.”
Liz sat down next to him and took his hand. “Calm down and tell us then.”
Rath took a couple of deep breaths and started talking. “I came out from Lonnie’s control a few days before the accident. I told him what she was going to do; he put his shield up when the truck hit him. He’s alive, after the summit I told him about Ava staying in Roswell; he went to look for ya. But I haven’t seen him since he went to Roswell.”
Ava looked at Rath tears shining in her eyes. “He’s alive?”
“Yes, but I don’t know where he is.”
Ava focused on Liz. “Can you try to do the thing you did with Isabel?”
“I’ll try if you help.”
Ava smiled and sat down next to her. She rested her hands on Liz her shoulders and the two of them started to look for Zan. After five minutes an image of Zan looking at the remaining of Tess and Lonnie appeared in Liz her head. Liz broke the connection.
“I’ll go get him, you two stay here.” Before they could say something Liz had left the room and was on her way to Zan.
When she got back to the sewer home she found Zan.
“Who the fuck are you?”
“I’m Liz, Zan.”
“How do you know my name?”
“From Ava.”
Zan looked to the place that Tess laid.
“That’s not Ava, that’s her dupe Tess.”
“How do you know?”
“Because I killed her and Lonnie.”
“What?”
“Nobody kills my best friend or threatens my friend and get’s away with it. Now, we can stand here and talk all night long or you can come with me to my hotel room, fix Ava’s leg and heal Rath. I would do it myself but I’m still new at using powers.”
Zan looked at her in disbelief. Liz turned around and walked away, Zan waved his hand over his sister’s dead body and his lover’s dupe making them disappear before following Liz.
“So who are you Liz?”
“Me? I’m a human. But Ava’s dupe has pushed me too far.”
“I saw her once, but… well I thought it was Ava, but now I’m thinking it was her dupe.”
“Why?” Liz asked as they arrived at her hotel.
“I’ll tell you later.” He said before entering the hotel.

Part 4
After healing Rath and Ava he pulled Ava in his lap and was sucking her lip in his mouth.
Liz was sitting on one of the club seats while Rath was still lying on the bed.
Liz grabbed the phone and started dialing a number.
“Who ya calling?” Rath asked.
“A friend of mine, I promised him I would call him.”
“Ya gonna tell him about us?”
“No, I don’t want all of them here.”
“Huh?”
“He said that if I didn’t want the others to know where I was to not tell him. He won’t tell them but he doesn’t rule out the fact that Isabel can dream walk.”
“Oh.”
Liz waited till the phone was picked up.
“Kyle Valenti.”
“Hey, it’s Liz.”
“Hey, how are you.”
“I’m fine, how are things there?”
“Seniore El presidente claimed that his enemies have kidnapped you. He’s saying things like you would never leave without telling him.”
“Really what about the other’s?”
“Maria’s upset; Isabel isn’t saying much and Michael, he’s your biggest supported next to me. He…”
Liz could hear an argument going on near Kyle. She could hear Max demanding Kyle to give him the phone.
“Kyle?”
“Sorry, I’m back. Look my dad needs to talk to you for a couple of seconds and Michael wants to talk to you to.”
“Give me your dad first.”
“Sure.”
Kyle past the phone to his dad and watched Max follow the phone like a puppy.
“Liz?”
“Hey Mr. Valenti.”
“Are you alright? You’re not in any trouble are you?”
“I’m fine and save.”
“Where are you? Your parents are worried.”
“I left them a note telling them that I needed some time to get over Alex his death.”
“I see, and you are where?”
“I’m not going to tell you that, I’m sorry, but I need some time away from Roswell.”
“I see.”
“Can you give me Michael?”
“Sure, Liz?”
“Yeah?”
“Take care.”
“I will.”
The phone was passed to Michael and Liz could hear Max telling him.
“When you’re done give me the phone I need to talk to her.”
“Parker?”
“Michael.”
“Look, I just wanted to tell you, if you ever need anything, you’ve got me. You never steered us wrong and to be honest you’re like a little sister to me.”
“Thank you Michael.”
“I love you alright and this is the most open you’re going to get me so take advantage of it.”
“I love you too. So you’re not going to ask me where I am.”
“No, I trust you.”
“Thanks.”
“But I have to ask, does Kyle know?”
“No, he just drove me to the airport.”
“One more question and then I’m going to pas the phone to Maxwell.”
“Shoot.”
“Did you sleep with Kyle?”
“No, I asked him for help and he helped me.”
“Good then I don’t have to kill him.” Liz laughed at that.
“Parker, I’ll see you when I see you.”
“That you will bye Michael.”
“Bye Lizzie. Here comes Max.” Michael said knowing that Liz would hang up the phone. He waited a second ad heard the dial tone before giving the phone to Max.
“Liz, where are you? Hello, Liz?”
After hanging up the phone Liz looked at the others.
“Who was Alex?” Zan asked.
“Alex was my best friend, Tess killed him.”
“Was he in a car accident?”
“Yeah.”
“He’s not death.”
“We buried him.”
“You buried an image.”
“What?”

“I thought that Lonnie was controlling Ava and I saved him, I knew that Aves would never kill a human unless he would be a threat to her. If he was a treat to her she wouldn’t bother to make it look like a suicide. He was barely alive when I got him out of the car. I placed him in a pod and told one of the protectors to project an image of him.”
“He’s alive?”
“Yes.”
Liz wrapped her arms around Zan’s neck and hugged him. “Thank you.”
“Your welcome.”
“Where is he now?”
“One of the protectors is a producer and he rented a house for us. The pod with your friend is there. The house is in L.A.”
Rath moved off the bed and into the bathroom, he turned the water on after he closed the door.The words of love Liz spoke to his dupe rang painfully in his ears. When he saw her for the first time in Roswell and then felt her lips...he thought off her every time he broke out from under Lonnie’s hold. When they had gotten back to New York Lonnie regained control over him and used him, but earlier today he could feel it breaking when Tess and Lonnie were trying to kill him. He felt Liz, he felt her before he saw her and she had saved both him and Ava. He had been sure he was going to die but she saved him. Splashing water on his face he paused and spoke to his refection. “Why would a woman like that ever be interested in you? Your nothing, she deserves so much more than what you can give her.”
He heard a soft knock on the door and then he heard her sweet voice calling in. “Rath, are you alright?”
“I’m fine; I’ll be out in a second.”
“Alright.” Liz walked away from the door and sat down on the bed.
“When do you think we could go to L.A.?”
Zan smiled at the girl. “I’ll call the protector and have him send his jet over.”
“Cool.”
The door opened and Rath walked out of the bathroom and sat back down. Zan took the phone and made his call. When he hung the phone back up he looked at the other three.
“The jet will be here in three hours, so I think we should pack Liz up and then grab something to eat.”
“Sounds like a plan.”
Ava answered as Liz pulled out her back and started putting the few things she had gotten out back in. It only took her 10 minutes before she closed the bag.
“Let’s go and check me out.”
She was about to take her bag from the bed, but Rath took it for her.
“I’ve got it.”
“Thanks.”
She turned around to pick her backpack up but found that Zan had already taken it.
“Let’s go.”
Liz quickly checked out and the four went to get some food.

The four had boarded the plane. Ava and Liz where sitting next to each other and where taking softly. Rath had fallen asleep right after take off. Zan walked over to the two girls.
“Aves, can you keep an eye on Rath for a couple of minutes?”
“Sure.”
Zan took Ava’s seat. “Can we talk for a sec?”
“Sure, what’s wrong Zan?”
“Look with Lonnie death, our four square ain’t complete, so I was wondering if you where interested in a position in the four square.”
“Do you think I could? I’m just a human you know.”
“Liz, just by looking at ya I know your more than a human. You mind if I checked something out?”
“What?”
“Ya know, connect for a sec.”
“Sure.”
Zan made a quick connection with Liz. “Just as I thought. When my dupe healed ya he gave ya his responsibility.”
“Huh?”
“Lonnie, Ava, Rath and me where the original send set. Ya know the real deal. But they thought it would be safer to give my dupe the control over the granolith. Ya know, like he’s the protector of the granolith, the only one who can decently operate it. But when he healed ya he gave ya the control of the granolith. The granolith must have accepted you and that’s why you having powers. Now if ya want to join our four square ya would have to become my sista.”
“How would that happen?”
“A ritual. I would completely connect my mind with yours and you would do the same with me and then we would ask the granolith permission for you to become my sis.”
“When could we do this?”
“Ya willing?”
“Yeah.”
“Great. After we’re at the house and you’ve seen your friend we could do it.”
“Alright, I’ll do it. Strange.”
“Strange?”
“Yesterday I didn’t have a brother; today I’m going to have three brothers.”
“Three?”
“Yeah, Michael, Rath’s dupe, I’m getting Alex back and he was practically my brother and you. So three bro’s.”
Zan smiled at her and watched as Ava came back. He got up and let Ava have her seat back.
“I’m going to keep my eye on Rath.”
Zan got back to the back of the plane.
“So, what you two talk about?”
“Zan asked me to join your four square.”
“Cool. So ya going to do it?”
“Yes.”
“Good.”

Part 7
After arriving at Zan’s house in L.A. Zan had taken them to where he had placed Alex the pod.
“Zan, how long does he have to stay in this?”
“I don’t know. He needs to be completely healed before he can come out.”
“Oh.”
“So want to do the ritual now?”
“Sure.”
Zan took Liz her hand and took her out in the garden.
“Take off your shoes.”
Liz did as he told her, Zan sat down and Liz did the same.
Zan took her hands and looked into her eyes. Liz led her mind go blank and entered Zan’s mind. The two saw each others live and suddenly felt an other presence tugging at their minds. Liz and Zan led the tugging in.
“What do you wish of me protector?” A soft voice asked.
Liz send her toughs to the granolith.
“Are you sure? I can feel that the essence that you bring before me has hurt you before.”
Liz sent an image of Max next to Zan’s image. Making the granolith see that there where two of them.
“I see and you king do you wish for the same.”
Zan send the granolith his feelings for Liz.
“Very well, I grant this to you king Zan, I grant you the permission to take my protector as your sister. Protector Do you accept the responsibility of being part of the four square?”
The granolith felt Liz her acceptance and both she and Zan became illuminated in a green light. Liz felt the power flowing through her. She felt her own powers and she understood what she could do and how she could use them. Before the granolith parted from them Liz heard it say one more thing.
“If you have any question reach with your mind to me and I’ll answer.”
Liz took a deep breath “Where are you now?”
“Back in the desert, in a cave, when you’re near me, you’ll feel me. You’re the only one who can open the door to my new chamber.” After telling Liz that the granolith pulled back.
Liz opened her eyes and let Zan pull her up. He pulled her in a hug.
“Liz, your shoulder is glowing.”
“So is yours.” Zan turned Liz in his arms and looked at her shoulder, on her shoulder there was the royal seal of Antar glowing brightly.
Ava ran outside. “Zan, Liz. Rath’s shoulder is glowing. And yours too.”
“Aves turn around baby.” Ava did what Zan asked her and on her shoulder the royal seal was glowing to.
“You have it to.” Ava looked at Zan.
“What does it mean?”
Liz smiled at the two. “It’s the proof that we’re the true royal four. The glow should go away in a few hours.”
“How do you know that sis?”
“I don’t know, I just do.”
Liz walked away from the two who started making out and walked towards the room with Alex his pod.
Rath was looking at the pod as she walked in.
“Hey.”
“Hey Liz.”
Rath watched as Liz trailed her hand over the pod. He could feel the love she felt for the boy in the pod.
“So, where’s Zan?”
“He and Ava are outside.”
“Oh, what’s he doing?”
“Making out with Ava.”
“Oh.”
“Yeah, there are something’s a sister doesn’t want to see.”
“Huh?”
“Zan made me his sister, he made me part of the four square.”
“As Zan his sister.”
“Yes.”
“Not wife.”
“What?”
“You were with Zan’s dupe. So I thought that you…”
“No, my feelings for Max stopped a long time ago and I don’t feel that way for Zan. Zan is a complete different person then Max. Max’s is a controlling asshole and I really don’t want to be near him again.”
“What do you mean?”
“After we thought that Tess left the planet he started saying that what Tess did was excusable, that I should just get over it and help him find his son. A son that doesn’t even exist. Can you believe that, he just let the monster that killed my best friend leave the planet and I just had to get over it? He didn’t even believe me when I told him that Alex would never commit suicide.” As she spoke Rath pulled her into his arms and held her tight.

The four had boarded the plane. Ava and Liz where sitting next to each other and where taking softly. Rath had fallen asleep right after take off. Zan walked over to the two girls.
“Aves, can you keep an eye on Rath for a couple of minutes?”
“Sure.”
Zan took Ava’s seat. “Can we talk for a sec?”
“Sure, what’s wrong Zan?”
“Look with Lonnie death, our four square ain’t complete, so I was wondering if you where interested in a position in the four square.”
“Do you think I could? I’m just a human you know.”
“Liz, just by looking at ya I know your more than a human. You mind if I checked something out?”
“What?”
“Ya know, connect for a sec.”
“Sure.”
Zan made a quick connection with Liz. “Just as I thought. When my dupe healed ya he gave ya his responsibility.”
“Huh?”
“Lonnie, Ava, Rath and me where the original send set. Ya know the real deal. But they thought it would be safer to give my dupe the control over the granolith. Ya know, like he’s the protector of the granolith, the only one who can decently operate it. But when he healed ya he gave ya the control of the granolith. The granolith must have accepted you and that’s why you having powers. Now if ya want to join our four square ya would have to become my sista.”
“How would that happen?”
“A ritual. I would completely connect my mind with yours and you would do the same with me and then we would ask the granolith permission for you to become my sis.”
“When could we do this?”
“Ya willing?”
“Yeah.”
“Great. After we’re at the house and you’ve seen your friend we could do it.”
“Alright, I’ll do it. Strange.”
“Strange?”
“Yesterday I didn’t have a brother; today I’m going to have three brothers.”
“Three?”
“Yeah, Michael, Rath’s dupe, I’m getting Alex back and he was practically my brother and you. So three bro’s.”
Zan smiled at her and watched as Ava came back. He got up and let Ava have her seat back.
“I’m going to keep my eye on Rath.”
Zan got back to the back of the plane.
“So, what you two talk about?”
“Zan asked me to join your four square.”
“Cool. So ya going to do it?”
“Yes.”
“Good.”

After arriving at Zan’s house in L.A. Zan had taken them to where he had placed Alex the pod.
“Zan, how long does he have to stay in this?”
“I don’t know. He needs to be completely healed before he can come out.”
“Oh.”
“So want to do the ritual now?”
“Sure.”
Zan took Liz her hand and took her out in the garden.
“Take off your shoes.”
Liz did as he told her, Zan sat down and Liz did the same.
Zan took her hands and looked into her eyes. Liz led her mind go blank and entered Zan’s mind. The two saw each others live and suddenly felt an other presence tugging at their minds. Liz and Zan led the tugging in.
“What do you wish of me protector?” A soft voice asked.
Liz send her toughs to the granolith.
“Are you sure? I can feel that the essence that you bring before me has hurt you before.”
Liz sent an image of Max next to Zan’s image. Making the granolith see that there where two of them.
“I see and you king do you wish for the same.”
Zan send the granolith his feelings for Liz.
“Very well, I grant this to you king Zan, I grant you the permission to take my protector as your sister. Protector Do you accept the responsibility of being part of the four square?”

It was a couple days later when Zan caught Rath staring after Liz.
“Hey man, what’s up.”
“Nothing.”
“Rath, you like her don’t you?”
Rath didn’t answer he just looked at where Liz was sitting; she was talking to Alex his pod.
“Rath, just take a chance.”
“Liz is so much better then me, she deserves so much more then what I can give her.”
Liz got up and walked over to the two. “What’s up, sis?”
“I just talked to the granolith; I think we need to go to Antar for a while. There’s a healthier environment for Alex to recover. And while we’re there we can get rid of Khivar.”
“Just like that sis, go to Antar, get rid of Khivar, fix your other brother up and then?”
“Come back to earth and get rid of any other hostile skins.”
“And how are we going to go to Antar?”
“Granolith.” Zan and Rath looked after her as Liz walked away to go and inform Ava.
A couple of day’s later they arrived in Roswell. Liz had called Kyle and told him to bring Michael and to meet her in the quarry.
“Hey.”
“Liz.” Both guy’s said and hugged her. Liz had told the others to wait for her at the motel.
“I’m going to go to Antar.”
“What?”
“If I go to Antar, I’m getting Alex back.” Michael and Kyle kept quite so Liz continued.
“Rath’s not evil, he was being controlled by Lonnie and Tess, I got powers and I killed Lonnie and Tess. Zan is also alive. I’m taking Lonnie’s place and we’re going to Antar. I wanted you to know where I’m going.”
“We’ll come with you.” Kyle said.
“You can’t. The granolith can only transport 5 at a time. Well this version of the granolith. On Antar it can be modified to carry more people. I’ll be back, but I don’t know when. I have to take this chance. I’m getting Alex back.”
The two men looked at her but didn’t say anything. When Michael opened his mouth Liz stopped him.
“You have to let me do this Michael. I’ll be alright but I have to do this. Will you let me brother?”
Michael felt the tears sting in his eyes as he nodded and hugged her.
“I trust you. Just promise me you’ll be safe. And tell Zan and Rath that if anything happens to you, I’ll kill them.”
“They’ll take care of me.”
Kyle simply hugged her and wished her good luck before pulling Michael with him and leaving Liz alone. Later that night the royal four left the planet with Alex.
