Summary: So much has happened since before Tess flew off in the spaceship and nothing seems to make sense anymore, so what happens when Liz, Maria and Kyle decide to visit Liz's family in New York.

Chapter 1
"So what do you think?" Liz asked Maria and Kyle as they sat in the Crashdown cafe.
"I think....." Kyle started.It had been a couple of crazy past months, all leading up to discover that it was actually Tess who betraded them all. From the Skins to the Dupes, from the Ganduriam to Alex's funeral but what kept the 3 humans together was their friendship. It was like glue and for the first time in months, Liz Parker wanted out.
"It's crazy Liz." Maria said. "I mean, we can't just leave. The Cechs'll need us."
"For what, Maria? I mean, what can we gave that'll be even remotely helpful?" Maria closed her mouth. Liz was right. "Plus haven't we suffered enough. I mean really. Yeah I love Max but I hate what's our love has done. And now with Tess out there and no Alex, I juss....." Liz's voice shook. "I just think that we need a little time off. It's only for the summer and we'll be staying with family. You remember Em, right?"
"The crazy one?" Maria asked but Kyle only ignored her.
"And I see no reason for us not to go. Michael has been working like crazy, Isabel is doing whatever it is that Isabel does, so...." Kyle said agreeing with Liz. They were in need of some fun and New York was just the place."Come on, Maria. All the cool kids are doing it." Liz said, immating Maria for when she wanted Liz to go to Las Vegas with her.
"Fine. Fine." Maria faked sighed. "If I must." She said letting a smile spread across her face.
"Yyyyyeeeeeeeeesssssssss." Liz and Kyle said at the same time high fiving.

"So where do you think she is right now?" Max asked Michael as they walked into Michael's house. "No clue man but I wouldn't worry about Tess. Right now you have some major ass kissing, if I'm correct?" Michael said as he pulled out a carton of milk and downing it in one glup.
"With who?" Max asked falling onto Michael's couch.
"With Liz?" Michael wiped his mouth. "I mean first you love her, then leave her, then you love her when she's gone, next your with Tess in New York, THEN you seperate us after Alex's funeral, you get Tess pregnant, you avoid Liz at every cost NOT to tell her and when you find out that Tess was the one who killed Alex (from Liz, I might add), you let her go and act like now that Tess is gone, Liz'll just fall into your arms."
"Your point."
"My point is, do you really think Liz'll just come running into your arms?"
"As a matter of fact, yes." Michael scoffs. "I mean we love each other and that'll make things better."
"I don't think so man. After all the shit you put her through, you better have some kick ass, and I mean really kick ass apology for her when you see her. And then you better grovel because she's Maria's best friend and that's pretty much what they talk about. Getting us to live for them."
"When did you turn into such a romantic?" Max asked sarcastically.
"Don't hate man." Michael said as he dropped onto the couch next to Max. "And I learned it all from you."

(In Ipswich)
"So, you guys ready to party in New York?" Reid asked as he hopped out of Tyler's hummer. "Cause I know I am?"
"I still can't believe you two convinced Caleb into going to New York without Sarah. I mean she's been attached to his hip since the whole 'Chase' thing." Pogue said as he walked out of his house with a duffle bag. "And that was almost 8 months ago."
"It wasn't easy." Tyler said as he leaned against the hummer.
"Yeah. He kept saying no until I told him it would be like a birthday thing since Tyler is turning 18 next week." Reid smirk. "And that my friend is when he bit."
"You mean before or after he told you that celebrating a birthday for a whole summer was ridiculous?" Pogue laughed as Tyler shook his head.
"I thought that he would have laughed in our faces but when he agreed, I thought I was going to fall out." Tyler looked at Reid and Pogue.
"Well he didn't so let's go get him!" Reid yelled as he jumped into the hummer. Pogue happily followed while Tyler only smiled. This was diffinitly going to be fun.

Chapter 2
Liz couldn't stop giggling all through her shift. It had been a few days since her, Kyle and Maria talked about New York but it was going to be fun. Emma was already planning out everything they were going to do and Liz couldn't wait.
"So Liz, what's the smile for?" Isabel asked as she and Kyle walked into the cafe. They had been getting close and Liz couldn't help but want to know what it meant. Were they dating or just friends? "Did a certain brother of mine ask you out?"
"Nope."
"Then what?"
"Nothing really." Liz lied." Kyle gave her a look but she brushed him off. "Just woke up like this I guess."
"Um, Isabel can I talk to Liz for a minute, please?" Kyle asked. Isabel nodded and left. "Why are you lying to her? If we're going to do this, we can't lie to them. What are they going to say when we disappear for the entire summer without our parents?"
"They can say whatever they want, Kyle. We deserve some 'us' time and if they can't get that then screw them."
"Woah Liz. Where is this all coming from?" Kyle asked grabbing Liz's hands that were now shaking.
"I don't know but we need this. We need to get away and I'm sorry if I'm being selffish but who cares. If anything, you and I need this more than any one. With Tess using you and Max acting like everything'll just be like before. As if he didn't fuck Tess and get her pregnant."
Sudddenly, Liz's whole body was shaking and she was on the verge of tears. Damn it, Kyle thought to himself.
"Come on, Liz." He wrapped his arms around her shoulders and lead her to her room. When they were out of the cafe and in Liz's house, Liz started laughing. "What the hell?"
"You should see the look on your face, Kyle. You look like hell passed over."
"What the hell was that?" Kyle let go of Liz and stood in front of her shocked.
"What?" Liz gasped as she tried to stop laughing. "That was funny."
"No it wasn't. You scared the crap out of me. I really thought that you were all broken up." Kyle turned his back on Liz.
"Sorry." Liz said feeling a little like shit. "I just wanted to...."
"A-ha!" Kyle jumped back with a smile on his face. "I got chu."
"Damn it Kyle." Liz said giggling.
"Sucks right?" Liz nodded her head. "So why did you do it?"
"Cause Isabel was listening in on our conversation."
"So this was just another way to keep us going to New York from them?"
"Yeah. If they find out that we're leaving them, they'll flip. Think about it. Remember how Max was when Isabel wanted to go to college and how Michael just fell in with his decision. If Max finds out that you, me and Ria are going to New York to hang with my cousin, then he'll flip and Michael and Isabel'll be on his side. And you know it too."
Kyle thought about it. Max had flipped out when he found out that Isabel wanted to go to college. He had even gone so far as having Michael TELL her that she wasn't going. Liz was right. Max would flip and do what ever he had to to get them back. And he meant whatever.
"Fine but we gotta tell Maria."
"Maria!!!"

Maria walked into the cafe with Max following right behind her. Even though, Isabel was still mad about the whole Tess thing, she still had his back and told him what she heard from Liz and Kyle.
"Come on, Maria. Are Kyle and Liz back together? Why are they acting all weird? Did something happen between now and when," Max lowered his voice. "Tess left in the spaceship?"
"Max, I-." But Maria never got to finish. Both Kyle and Liz were downstairs and in front of her.
"Hey Maria." Liz said in a weird voice. "What are you doing here? I thought we were going to go pick you up at your house?"
"Um, yeah but then I remembered that I left a pair of-."
"Shoes? Yeah. Kyle and I found them. Let's go get them." Liz grabbed onto Maria's arm and started pulling her towards the back door when Max stopped them.
"Wait. Liz. Can we talk?" Liz and Kyle shared a look that didn't go unnoticed.
"Sure, sure. Kyle, why don't you take Maria upstairs, so that she can get her 'shoes'?" Kyle gave Liz this look of confusion. "You know, the 'SHOES'."
"Oh yeah. Let's go Ria." Kyle grabbed Maria's arm and pulled her up stairs. Liz shook her head and let out a breathe she didn't even know she was holding.
"So Max." She said turning back to the task at hand.

"So this is New York?" Caleb said as he and the guys walked out of the airport.
"Yeah it is but ya'll is gonna have ta deal wit the smell cause dat ain't gonna leave." When the guys turned, they saw a small brunette wearing a tiny black leather skirt with a tight pink top that clunge to her body and showed everything she had.
"Funny Emma, funny." Ried said as he gave her a quick hug.

Chapter 3
"I try." Emma said as she pushed her best friend off of her. "Oh this is going to be so much fun!" She said giggling.
"What do you mean?" Caleb asked. "I'm also Caleb by the way."
"Oh I know. You're Caleb, long hair is Pogue and blue eyes is Tyler. Ried told me on the phone. Don't worry. Now that I've seen you all, you're faces will never leave my memory."
"Okay?" Pogue said looking at Tyler.
"Yeah so, um, back to your question Caleb, my adorable cousin Liz is coming out here for the summer too. AND she brought her friends. This is just so cool."
"Liz? Like in little Lizzie Parker?" Ried asked.
"Yep." Emma turned on her heel and started walking towards her car. "Follow me."
"Who is 'little Lizzie Parker' and why haven't we heard about her?" Tyler asked Pogue.
"No clue man. But I bet you she's one of those spoiled little rich girls." Pogue joked making Caleb and Tyler laugh.
"Actually she's probably the sweetest girl you'll ever know." Ried said never actually looking at them.
"Yeah and Emma here is ugly." Pogue went on.
"You'll see." Ried said walking faster to catch up with Em.

"So Max." Liz repeated as she looked Max in the eye. "What do you want to talk about?"
They had taken a table in the corner and near the window so that no one would bother them. Liz knew what this was about. If her plan had worked, and it did, then Isabel called Max and told him that something was going on between her (Liz) and him (Kyle).
"Is something going on between you and Kyle?" Bingo.
"Not anymore than before. Why do you ask?"
"It's nothing. I'm probably worrying over nothing." Max looked down at his hands.
It was times like these that made Liz see that the boy she loved was still in the guy before her. His eyes told of his love that was only for her and just his presences told her that he was in this for real this time but for some reason, Liz just couldn't do it again. She couldn't go through the pain again. What if Tess comes back? What if she brings his son? What then? Will they still be together or will he leave her to be with Tess and the baby?
"Max?" Liz asked in a groggy voice. She had to get away from him. Her heart was breaking just by sitting across from him. "Is there anything else cause I really need to get back to work?"
"Um," Max looked at her again and Liz felt her heart break even more. She was going to break. "No not really. Sorry. I didn't mean to take up your time."
"Don't worry. You didn't." Then she got up and walked away. Soon they would be in New York; her, Maria and Kyle. And then, she, Liz, would be able to breathe again.

"New York?" Michael asked. "How do you know that they're going to New York?"
"I kind of read it from her mind." Max said looking at the ground. He hadn't meant to read her mind but the look in Liz's eye told him that she was hiding something just like before. Then out of no where, he heard it. Like it had been in his own head.
Soon they would be in New York; her, Maria and Kyle. And then, she, Liz, would be able to breathe again.
And that's when Max ran to Michael's house to tell him what he had heard.
"You what?"
"I don't know." Max said getting up. "One minute everything was normal but the next, it was like Liz was talking in my head. She said and I quote 'Soon they would be in New York; her, Maria and Kyle. And then, she, Liz, would be able to breathe again'."
"So let them go. What's the worst that could happen?"
"Um, if I remember correctly, Nickolas is New York and so is Lonnie and Rath."
"Damn it." Michael slammed his hand onto the counter. "So how do we get them NOT to go? I mean, we can't just run over to Parker's house and TELL her they can't go. It'll just make them want to leave even faster."
"Then we divide and conquer. You take Maria, Isabel'll take Kyle and I'll take Liz. That way, they can't get away from us or try and rely on each other."
"Okay, so when do they leave?"

"We leave tonight." Liz said as she tossed her things down the stairs. "When did you think we'd be leaving, Ria? I mean I called you and told you to have your things packed by the time I got there. What did you think I meant by that?"
"I thought you wanted us to hang out before we left."
"We did Maria." Kyle told her. "What did you think this was?" Maria threw up her hands.
"Oh forget about it. But we do have to get my things. I left them at my house." Maria said as she gave up.
There was no stopping this. Her friends were determined and anyways, why did she want to stop them? She's been wanting to go to New York for so long. This'll be fun.
"Not a problem." Liz closed the trunk and turned to her parents. "I'll call you once we get there and then again when we get to Em's house."
"That's our girl." Jeff Parker joked. Then he pulled Liz into a hug and kissed the top of her head. "Be good now." He pushed away. "All of you."
"He's right." Nancy Parker hug all 3 of them as if they were her kids and and then pushed them to the car. "Off with you now before I change my mind."
"Good enough for me." Kyle said running to the passenger seat. "Shot gun."
"But I-." Maria started. "Damn him."
"Bye guys." Liz giggled as she gave both her parents a hug before turning and getting into the car. By night fall, they should be in Em's apartment in New York.

Chapter 4
Liz and Kyle waited outside of the bathroom for Maria at the airport. She had been holding it since they left Roswell a couple of hours ago and now they were all paying for it.
"Maria, would you hurry up? I'm sure Emma is waitin for us." Liz yelled into the bathroom.
"Almost done." Maria yelled but then she put the phone back to her ear. "Look, Michael, I gotta go and I'm sorry about not telling you about leaving but Liz and Kyle just had to get out and away."
"But to New York? Did they have to go to New York?"
"Well Liz's cousin lives here and they kind of wanna be free and not be themselves. And I kind of agree with them."
"What?" Michael yelled into the phone.
"Well I do. After what Tess did to us, I think we are intitled to be free, don't you?" She asked him.
Maria really wanted him to see it from their point of view. Alex had been her and Liz's best friend for so long and then he and Kyle bonded and it had been the four of them until he died. Being human in what's suppose to be an 'alien only' group had been hard on them especially when future Max had came.
"Look Maria, I can't say that it sucks to lose a best friend cause Max is still here but skipping town to got to a city you 3 know nothing about is just-. Michael tried but Maria cut him off.
"No. Don't even try and pull that 'we need to stick together' bullshit cause when Max thought Liz and Kyle slept together it was okay to just throw them away."
"Maria! Michael whined but she cut him off again.
"Don't Maria me, Spaceboy. We need this more than you 3 do so don't come looking for us or try and ask how to get to us cause no one will help you guys. For once, all of our parents agreed on this and you 3 can't change that!" And she hung up on him and turned off her phone. Feeling more fustrated than before, Maria flushed the toliet to make it like she had actually use the bathroom and washed her hands. When she finally walked out, Liz and Kyle were no where in sight. "Where are they?"

Liz and Kyle had gone to the gift shop just to look when all of a sudden, Liz bumped into this gorgeous blue eyed god.
"I'm so sorry." He said.
"It's...It's okay." Liz said smiling at her. "It was totally my fault. I'm such a spaz. One minute I'm just looking at nothing and then the next it's like I'm lost in my own litle world." Liz rambled.
"No kidding." The guy smiled. "So you coming in or leaving?"
"Just came." Liz told him but she heard Kyle chuckle and knew why. "I mean we just came." Kyle laughed harder. "I mean we just got here. Yea that's what I mean."

"Yep." Liz smiled at him. "How about you? You coming or going?"
"Actually I'm waiting for someone with my friends."
"Oh really." Liz asked. "Me and my friends are actually waiting for my cousin. She was suppose to be here a long time ago but that's Em for ya." That caught the guy's attention.
"Did you just say Em?" He asked and that was when Maria walked over to them.
"You guys said that you were going to wait for me. Why did you leave?" She yelled.
"Cause you were taking a long time and we were getting bored." Kyle told her.
"Well, you could have told me."
"We did."
"Oh." Maria had to change the subject. "So who is this?"
"Um," Liz looked at the guy. "I didn't get your name."
"Oh, my name is Tyler Simms." He stretched his hand out and Kyle took it.
"I'm Kyle. This little spit fire is Maria and the rambling brunette you were talking to before is-."
"Liz!" Emma came running from behind Tyler. "You found her Ty."
"Ty?" Maria questioned looking at Kyle with her 'look'.
Great, Kyle thought to himself. He was gonna have to keep Maria's nose out of Emma's business while still having fun. Damn it.
Liz and Kyle waited outside of the bathroom for Maria at the airport. She had been holding it since they left Roswell a couple of hours ago and now they were all paying for it.
"Maria, would you hurry up? I'm sure Emma is waitin for us." Liz yelled into the bathroom.
"Almost done." Maria yelled but then she put the phone back to her ear. "Look, Michael, I gotta go and I'm sorry about not telling you about leaving but Liz and Kyle just had to get out and away."
"But to New York? Did they have to go to New York?"
"Well Liz's cousin lives here and they kind of wanna be free and not be themselves. And I kind of agree with them."
"What?" Michael yelled into the phone.
"Well I do. After what Tess did to us, I think we are intitled to be free, don't you?" She asked him.
Maria really wanted him to see it from their point of view. Alex had been her and Liz's best friend for so long and then he and Kyle bonded and it had been the four of them until he died. Being human in what's suppose to be an 'alien only' group had been hard on them especially when future Max had came.
"Look Maria, I can't say that it sucks to lose a best friend cause Max is still here but skipping town to got to a city you 3 know nothing about is just-. Michael tried but Maria cut him off.
"No. Don't even try and pull that 'we need to stick together' bullshit cause when Max thought Liz and Kyle slept together it was okay to just throw them away."
"Maria! Michael whined but she cut him off again.
"Don't Maria me, Spaceboy. We need this more than you 3 do so don't come looking for us or try and ask how to get to us cause no one will help you guys. For once, all of our parents agreed on this and you 3 can't change that!" And she hung up on him and turned off her phone. Feeling more fustrated than before, Maria flushed the toliet to make it like she had actually use the bathroom and washed her hands. When she finally walked out, Liz and Kyle were no where in sight. "Where are they?"

Liz and Kyle had gone to the gift shop just to look when all of a sudden, Liz bumped into this gorgeous blue eyed god.
"I'm so sorry." He said.
"It's...It's okay." Liz said smiling at her. "It was totally my fault. I'm such a spaz. One minute I'm just looking at nothing and then the next it's like I'm lost in my own litle world." Liz rambled.
"No kidding." The guy smiled. "So you coming in or leaving?"

Chapter 5
"Wait." Liz said as she pulled away from Emma. "You know him?"
"Duh!" Emma smirked. "He came wit a friend. So now for the intro's gurl. Who's dis n y ain't I neva seen dem b4?"
"Em, that's Maria. You met her the last time you were in Roswell, remember?" Liz asked with her hands on her hips.
"Oh hell yeah. I remember you. You had shorter hair back den."
"Yeah."
"How'd it been gurl?" Emma questioned with a smile. She could see the others coming out of the corner of her eye and couldn't wait to see Liz's reaction to Reid being here.
They had been so in love wen dey was younger but then sumthing happened and now dey was just friends. The best of bestest friends but just friends none the less.
"Good I guess with everything that has happened." Maria told her.
"And who is dis fine piece of ass you got here wit ya?"
"Who Kyle?" Maria asked a little disgusted.
"No Ty. Of course him. Kyle was it? So nice to meet you." Emma said as she licked her lips, seductively.
"Okay." Liz said turning away from her cousin. "So what friend did you come with?" She asked Tyler.
"Re-."
"It's a surprise." Emma cut him off. "Let's go." As soon as they turned, they all saw Reid, Pogue and Caleb standing there. "Oh look, it's your surprise."

"What do you mean she hung upon you?" Isabel snapped.
Michael had called them up right after Maria hung up on him. Then he told them everything she had told him. Max was furious, to say the least. His face turned red and his ears, well lets just say that they weren't the same. It was like he turned into someone totally different. "Well she does and now that they're gone...." Max trailed off but Michael knew what he wanted to say. Now that they're gone, screw them. If they got into any trouble, then they were on their own since they wanted to be free.

Chapter 6
She didn't know what to say. For the first time in like forever, Liz Parker was speechless. And why, you ask. Well because the guy she thought of as a brother since they were young, was standing in front of her.
"Wha-wha-wha?"
"Usually, she is all filled up with words." Kyle joked and Reid smiled.
"I know. Liz was always the chatter box." That snapped her out of her flop.
"I was not. If I remember correctly, it was you that was the big mouth. That is along with the many other things you did." A huge smile spread across her lips. "God Reid." Liz pulled him into her arms. "I can't believe you're here."
"Well, Em here told me that you kind of needed me but she didn't tell me why?" The smile disappeared from Liz's face. "Liz?"
"Um, Reid, this is Maria and Kyle, my friends. Maria, Kyle, this is Reid. I met him years back when Aunt Jenny and Lynn were in Ipswich."
"Yeah, Lynn." Reid stared off into nothing as if he were daydreaming. "How is sweet old Lynn?"
Liz rolled her eyes, completely happy that she didn't have to tell Reid that Alex was dead. They had all been best friends, her and Reid cause of what they liked and him and Alex because of Lynn. They both had been pretty obessed with her until Alex saw Isabel. After that, all they had in common was their love for whatever it was they did whenever she wasn't with them.
"She's good. No clue, where she is but she's good. Actually, I got a call from her some time ago. Her and aunt Jenny are like in California or something. I really didn't get to hear her since she was too busy getting busy." Liz joked while moving her shoulders.
"Now I knew I liked her for a reason." Emma joked making everyone laugh. "Well, now that Ria and Ky know Reid, how about ya'll meet da rest of da group?" Emma pulled them to the others and started introducing everyone.

Max sat in his room alone, staring at the ceiling. He really thought that he and Liz would be togther right now but of course she had to be in New York City. He was there and there was nothing really great about it. Well, yeah there were all the sky scrapers and all the amazing sights but nothing great. Max rolled his eyes.
Who was he kidding? He missed Liz like hell and New York was the greatest city he had ever been too. Liz? How could she just leave him and not even say a word? Why would she lie about it? Was this the first time she lied about being somewhere? Did she really go to Florida or was that just another lie? Max shot up in his bed, with sweat coming down his head. Something wasn't right about all of this but he had no clue what it was.
Isabel!
She'd know. Max jumped out of bed so fast that it almost lifted from the ground. He was at her door even faster and was in her room and was talking 50 miles an hour, all the while never noticing the tear tracks down her cheeks.

Isabel just stared at Max as he rambled on about something she really could care less about. Now that Alex was gone, she was alone. Even her freakish buddy thing with Kyle was gone because Max drove them away. He ruin everything in her life. First when he saved Liz. Then with Tess and whatever she was for him. Next with Alex being wripped away from her when she finally realized that she loved him and now with Max driving the others away. Little by little he was taking her life from her and now.... Now she couldn't even go to college in San Franisco because he banned that. Son of a bitch wasn't ruining her life, no. He had already ruined it.
"MAX!" She yelled. "I don't give a fuck. Just get out of my room and leave me alone."
"But-." Max tried but Isabel cut him off with a flick of her rist. Out of her room and right into his bedroom, she had sent him.
"No stay out!" She yelled before slamming the door with another flick of her rist.
"What the hell was that?" Max asked himself, shocked.

"So. This is the famous Liz Parker?" POgue asked as he sized her up.
She was a bit small for Reid's taste. Dark hair, big doe eyes... She looked more like the girls Tyler went for than the ones Reid usually did.
"Yes I am. And you are?" Her eyes twickled with mischeif as she felt Emma grab her hand from behind. That obviously meant that Em had a crush on Mr. Tall, dark and dangerous.
"The name's Pogue and this lughead is Tyler. He gets alittle shy around pretty girls."
"Then I guess he's fine with us." Maria almost snapped. She wanted Liz to be happy but this trip was NOT for THAT kind of happy. This summer was all about taking a step back and breathing. Not hooking up with an old friend and his buddies.
"I'm sure he is." Kyle told her. "I'm Kyle and this is Maria. Don't worry about her, she's always like this. It's called 24 MWOM."
"What?" Emma asked as she slowly turned to him.
"Maria without Michael. That's her boyfriend." Liz told her without turning from Tyler. "But I don't really think you're friend here is that shy." Then she winked.
"Oh hell no." Reid said as he slung his arm around Liz' shoulder. "This here is like my little sister and I refuse to let Tyler ruin her."
"Hey guys, sorry I'm late. Couldn't find food." Caleb came running towards them and Maria almost fainted. "The name's Caleb. Sorry again."
"Not a problem." Maria suddenly giggled. "You are so totally fine."
Both Kyle and Liz covered their smiles while Emma and Reid were almost in tears. "Something funny?" Caleb asked.
"No man." Pogue smiled. "Nothing at all."
"Yo, let's ditch this place. First I wanna show ya my crib and then we are so going out ta party." Emma told them all as she stood next to Pogue and wiggled.

Chapter 8
Emma had taken them all back to her amazing apartment that her mother had left her when she died. It was a 3 story apartment building that was more of a house when you walked in more than anything. The front entrance way was huge with shiny white walls and a white tile floor to match. Purple and blue drapes gave color to the room while lilies and jasmines filled the air with fragance. For such an in-your-face type of person, Emma looked like she was living the good life.
"So this is it. This is where I live and this is where ya'll is all gonna be spending ya'll summer. Now," Emma turned to the large group while both Maria and Kyle looked on in awe. Liz had already been here and the guys got to be shocked when they first came. "Liz, you know where your room is?"
"Yep. third floor, last door on the left." The others looked at her like she had just grown three heads. "What? I spent more time here than I ever did anywhere else."
"Yeah, sure." Kyle chuckled as he glanced down what looked like a forever hallway. "Hey, what's done there?"
Emma turned to look where he was asking and laughed.
"That? That leads to the kitchen and then the yard. But let's get back to bed rooms. Okay?"
"Okay."
"Now. Ria, your room is gonna be right next to Liz's. Both Reid and Pogue are both on that floor with you guys so there is nothing to worry about if push comes to shove." Then Emma twitched her nose, only catching the eyes of the covenant and Liz. Maria and Kyle were too busy drooling. "And Kyle, your room is on the second floor with me, Tyler and Caleb. Both wanted to be somewhat ground and since the 1st floor is taken, they got the next best thing. Didn't know if you like the same thing or wanted something higher but if you do then just ask."
"Nope. The second floor is good for me." Everyone laughed.
"Okay, then. Let's all go to our rooms to get settled in, then meet up back here in say, an hour?" Reid asked already moving towards the stairs with Liz.
"Yeah, sure."
Everyone thought they saw something in Liz and Reid but Emma knew there was nothing there. Reid was too into Lynn to even realize Liz as anything other than just a friend. But maybe there was something there between Liz and Tyler. She saw how he kept on looking at her and then how he got jealous when Liz and Reid walked off in the airport. Someone was so going to get laid.

"So Liz, what is the real reason you came all the way to New York?" Reid asked as he dropped himself onto her queen size bed. Her room was probably the second best bed room in the house. (Emma's being the best, of course.)
Liz's room was decorated in all shades of red kind of theme. The beds and the drapes were a dark red while the walls were a plush red that kind of looked like whitish pink. The carpet was the same color as the walls and all the furniture match. A deep maple, he thought it was. But all it all, it was great.
"Um," Liz tried to look at everything BUT Reid but she knew what had to be done. She had to tell him the truth. "We actually came here because something big happened back home and none of us could take it anymore."
"What happened?" Ried gave Liz his full attention. "It's about Alex, isn't it." Liz nodded her head cause she didn't know if she could trust herself. "What happened with him? Did he fall in with the wrong crowd? Cause he hasn't been returning my e-mails for some reason." Liz felt her eyes tear up.
"Reid......Alex, um......hediedacoupleofmonthsagoandI'msorryfornotcallingbutithappenedsofaast." She rambled.
"Wait. What?"
"Alex died a couple of months ago and I'm so sorry that I didn't call to tell you but everything happened so fast that I....." But she trailed off cause the tears had already taken over. Reid didn't know what to say. One of his closest friends was died while the other was slowly breaking down.
"Oh Liz." Reid stood up and pulled Liz into his arms. "Don't worry. Reid is here. I'm here."

Everyone thought they saw something in Liz and Reid but Emma knew there was nothing there. Reid was too into Lynn to even realize Liz as anything other than just a friend. But maybe there was something there between Liz and Tyler. She saw how he kept on looking at her and then how he got jealous when Liz and Reid walked off in the airport. Someone was so going to get laid.

"So Liz, what is the real reason you came all the way to New York?" Reid asked as he dropped himself onto her queen size bed. Her room was probably the second best bed room in the house. (Emma's being the best, of course.)
Liz's room was decorated in all shades of red kind of theme. The beds and the drapes were a dark red while the walls were a plush red that kind of looked like whitish pink. The carpet was the same color as the walls and all the furniture match. A deep maple, he thought it was. But all it all, it was great.
"Um," Liz tried to look at everything BUT Reid but she knew what had to be done. She had to tell him the truth. "We actually came here because something big happened back home and none of us could take it anymore."
"What happened?" Ried gave Liz his full attention. "It's about Alex, isn't it." Liz nodded her head cause she didn't know if she could trust herself. "What happened with him? Did he fall in with the wrong crowd? Cause he hasn't been returning my e-mails for some reason." Liz felt her eyes tear up.
"Reid......Alex, um......hediedacoupleofmonthsagoandI'msorryfornotcallingbutithappenedsofaast." She rambled.
"Wait. What?"
"Alex died a couple of months ago and I'm so sorry that I didn't call to tell you but everything happened so fast that I....." But she trailed off cause the tears had already taken over. Reid didn't know what to say. One of his closest friends was died while the other was slowly breaking down.
"Oh Liz." Reid stood up and pulled Liz into his arms. "Don't worry. Reid is here. I'm here."

Isabel sat in Michael's apartment just staring at the floor. The sun was already going down but she didn't care. She didn't want to go home. Max was still freaking about what she did to him and for the first time in her life, Isabel just had bo answers for him.
"So tell me what happened." Michael stated as he dropped down next to her.

Chapter 9
I don't know what happened, Michael. One minute I was alone, crying in my room and the next, I was so mad at Max for not even caring about what Alex's death means to ME. I mean come on. I loved him. I STILL LOVE HIM. And now that he's gone, I don't know what to do without him." Isabel cried. Tears slipped from her eyes even as she tried to hold them in but nothing was working. The pain was unbearble. She had lost the one person, she'd thought that she could spend the rest of her life with.
Seeing her lose her inner war, Michael wrapped his arm around Isabel's shoulder and pulled her close. "Look, I may not know what it means to really lose someone cause both you and Max are still here but I do know what it feels like to be lost. So if you need anything. Like to talk or something...." Michael turned Isabel to look at him. "I'm here even if Max isn't.
Isabel smiled up at her 'brother'. "Thanks. It's good to know that I at least have ONE brother who cares about what I'm feeling." Both let out a strangled laugh, knowing that something had to be done about Max.

Liz stayed in Reid's arms until they heard a knock on the door. Seconds later, Emma walked in with a sad look in her eyes.
"I guess you heard." She asked in a unusual 'Emma' voice.
"Yeah I did." Reid told her but he never left his spot near Liz. How could he? She was one of only two now who knew him without actually knowing that he was a witch. "But this never leaves this room, okay." He simply stated.
"What do you mean?" Liz asked looking up into his clear green eyes. Reid could see Emma's chocolate browns also in a confused look.
"I mean, we all came here to have fun, right?"
"Actually, YA'LL came here. I live here so fun is what I do best." Emma smiled. She knew where Reid was going with this and it was here job to help her cousin through this. "Now, ya'll is da only 2 that haven't come down stairs. Let's go boogie!!!!"

Music pumped through the speakers at the 'Sexy Pussy Cat'. Women dressed in tiny tops and even shorter shorts danced in long cages that looked like they hung from the sky. The walls were a deep red that set off sex appeal to the whole club while the black couches, tables, chairs and bar area made it even more hot. Liz actually had to fan herself because it was so hot there. People were rubbing up against each other while others looked like they were really having sex ont he dance floor.
"Now THIS is what I call a club!" Reid yelled over the hynotic beat of a spanish song. "I can't wait to dance."
"Hell yeah." Pogue laughed a husky laugh into Emma's ears. "I know what you mean."
Just then, 'All U Need' came on and Emma smiled a wicked smile. "Then let's dance." But instead of grabbing Pogue, she grabbed Liz and they danced out onto the dancefloor. Both moved their hips to the beat and both were all giggles as they started moving but soon, the giggling was gone and they had most of the attention of every guy in the club.
"Well, that is my cue." Kyle joked as he walked to the bar.
"I'm with Kyle. I wanna get a drink before I start doing that." Maria said as she pointed to her best friend who was now slowly licking her lips as she ran a hand through her hair. Caleb was close behind her leaving his 3 buddies to watch the girls.
"God, why did I let Emma pick that out for Liz?" Reid asked himself but Tyler heard him.
"Why? They both look hot." And they did.
Emma didn't want Liz to mope around at the club so she had made Liz wear these mini black leather shorts that hugged her ass perfectly and this bearly there red top that clunge to Liz for dear life. Then there were the 4 inch knee-high red leather boots that Emma had Liz wear. They made her look unbelievebly hot and Reid almost died when he saw his best friend walk out of the bathroom. Then to finish her off, Liz had her hair in soft curls that swayed around her face
"That's why?" Pogue almost yelled. Almost every guy was watching Liz and Emma but only two were brave enough to actually go up behind them. But neither girl seemed to mind. In fact, Liz grabbed the blond's hands and grinded into him while Emma turned and did a sexy dip on her brunette.
"We gotta stop them." Reid heard Tyler demand. He knew that both of his friends would want Liz and Emma and he also knew that if he didn't put a stop to what the girls were doing, then they would. And it wouldn't be in a nice way either. The fact that Emma was a free spirit didn't help him either.
"Let them have their fun." Ried told them. "They're juss shooting off some steam." Especially Liz. She had told him everything that had happened over the past couple of months and he knew that she needed this. To be a normal teenage girl instead of a over-worked best friend who was always walked all over. "Liz needs this and Emma is juss being Emma." Both guys gave him a look. "What she does and she is!"
"Whatever." Pogue said as he walked away.
"Let's just get something to drink. Then maybe you can get to dance with Liz?" Ried teased but Tyler was still looking at Liz. "Dude, come on."
"Oh." Tyler followed Reid to the bar but didn't let his eyes leave Liz. If she needed him then he would be able to know.

Liz couldn't help but smile as she, Emma and Maria danced. Maria had joined them after what she said was 2 shots and one very weird ice tea. Now they were all dancing to 'Boomboomboom' by Out there brothers and she felt as free as she did the last time she was here. The beat pumped through her body as she swayed and moved her hands up her body and through her hair. Maria was dancing all crazy. She was rocking her hips and pumping her hands but she looked good and even more guys were trying to dance with them but Liz could see Ried and them coming towards them. It was just a matter of time before....
"Liz, can we talk?" Liz turned to see the last person she ever thought she'd see.

"What are you doing here?" Liz practically screamed over the music. Fear was laced in her voice and both Emma and Maria could sense it but who was this gorgeous guy and why was Liz so afriad of him.
"Thought I'd come out and hang with some of my friends. Never thought I'd see you here." Then he turned to Emma. "But I did know that you'd be here. Same old Em."
"Whatever asshole. Oh I mean David, sorry." Emma snapped as she stood next to her cousin. She knew that if she left Liz alone with this jackass then she would be the same she was the last time she was in New York.
"Ah the bitch has come out to play." David stated but his eyes never left Liz's and he couldn't help but smile. "Why don't you just mind your business because we both know that Liz wants this."
"Actually, the bitch is you and I think it's time you step off before I kick your ass." Reid said coming up behind the girls. He had heard what the asshole had said but he didn't know why Liz looked like she was about to break down.
"Ah, so now you have a man?" David smiled as he talked to Emma. "What, Lynn not giving it to you like you thought she would?"
"He said, step off." Pogue almost yelled. He didn't like it one bit how this guy was talking to Emma.
"And I say, uck you. I came over here to talk to Liz and that's just what I'm going to do."
"I don't think so David." Emma snapped. "She ain't going no where wit you and I mean it. I don't care if I go to jail this time. She aint leaving wit you."
"I'll just talk to him for a little but Tyler has to come."
"What?" Everyone almost yelled.
"What? Tyler is the only one that I know won't freak out like you, Em, or Reid. Bringing Ria aint an option and I know that Pogue and Calb would hate to leave Emma and Ria alone."

"Again, I don't want you to flip out when you hear what we have to say." Liz told them. She wanted them to know that she was okay and the only way to do that was take Tyler because he was a total bystander and was actually the same height and weight as David.
"Fine." They all said.
"Lead the way." David told her.
"Fine." Liz grabbed Tyler's hand and led them out of the club. If David even lifted a hand to her, then hopefully Tyler would think fast and NOT kill him.

Maria stood shocked. She didn't know why Emma was so freaked out about Liz leaving with that guy. He looked harmless. What could possibly happen? Maria turned to Caleb who was looking where Emma and Reid had walked off to. Something was up and needed to know what.
"Hey, where did Reid and Emma go?" She asked him. Her hands were on his chest as she used it to lean into his ear but the affect that she had on him made something else rise.
"Um, tha-tha-that way." Maria gave him a quick smile brushing off his studdering as she ran towards Emma and Reid.

"Em, what was that about and who was that guy?" Reid asked. As soon as Liz, Tyler and that guy walked out of the club, Emma had grabbed his hand and lead him in the same direction. The only difference was that they stayed just inside to listen to everything that was being said.
"That was the guy that beat the shit out of Liz when she came to visit me a year ago." Emma snapped. "Reid, he literally beat the hell out of her but she refuse to leave him. She said that it wasn't all that bad and that it was the only way she could get the hell away from some guy named Max. I had no clue what she meant but I wasn't about to let my baby cousin get the shit beaten out of her over some guy."
"How come no one told me!?" Reid snapped.
"Lynn and I thought that we had gotten rid of him."
"I guess not." Then it hit him. "He's out there with her and Tyler. Tyler doesn't fight. I don't even think he can." Reid's eyes flash black before turning back to blue. "We have to get out there."
"No!" Emma grabbed his arm just as Reid was about to leave.
"Why not?"
"Cause I know Liz. There was a reason, she brought Tyler out there."
"But if you're wrong and I hear her scream, that's it. I'll kill that ass hole." Reid's eyes stayed black as they both listened in to what Liz was saying.
