"Well, your welcome," I say, smiling at her. "And thank you to you for making this the best night I've had in a very long time," I added, starting to dance as the music came on.

I beam at Michael, this is just perfect...I couldn't have planned it any better. I felt like I was on cloud nine....

Maybe this is a dream....but it feels too good to be a dream...does that make sense? Well it does to me.

"You may need to pinch me to check that Im not dreaming right now" I joke.

Michael

"Why, think it's a nightmare?" I joke back. When another song comes on, I pull her as close as dancing ettiquite allows and then spin her out, showing off my awesome learning again.

I trailed after him as he walked to get himself some punch. He seemed really upset. "Kyle... you can talk to me if you want to," I started as he threw back some punch. "I won't tell anyone, and I'm a really great listener." I waited with bated breath as he started to answer. Would he trust me?

I listened to Max argue with the careless doctor, thinking it was one of the sweetest things I had ever heard. Not only did he donate an enormous amount of money to the charity, but he also was fighting tooth and nail to be able to attend the party for it. It almost brought tears to my eyes.

After the doctor left, Max turned to me and said that he had to find a way to make it to that ball.

"Max, I know this is important to you, but I don't see how you can," I said, delicately running my hands over his chest and ribs. He winced slightly and I withdrew my fingers. "See? How do you plan on going anywhere in this shape?"

Kyle

I smiled at Tess when she said...you can talk to me...I won't tell anyone

"Thanks Tess,you're a sweetheart." I said lifting her hand and kissing it "let's go somewhere a little more private."

I ushered her into my father's study."It's Alex...his behaviour this evening has been so out of character.He's not the kind of guy who picks a fight with someone who is practically a stranger and there he was knocking that duke down."

I started pacing the room,while Tess sat down and listened wihtout interupting which I was grateful for,I just need to clear my head.

"Then when I asked him to explain he said I wouldn't understand...What's that supposed ot mean?!...Tess,we've been friends for years and he has always told me when things are bothering him but now it's like he's closing himself in....I just dont' get it." I carried on in frustration

"I know it's something to do with Isabel...but still...why would he mind Victor dancing with her?I have to find out what's going on."

I laugh. Suddenly he spins me....I can't help but laugh.
"Wow Michael you have moooves. You must have had a brilliant teacher." I joke.

"I will find a way, I've never let them down...I have to go..." I took her hand in mine. "You have to help me Liz, you are the only person I trust. Please will you help me." I whispered to her.

Michael

"Yes, actually, I had a great teacher. Some belly dancer in the bahamas," I joke back, pulling her close again.

Aw, he must have been the sweetest person I'd ever met. Who would have known that under all that arrogance and ego there was such a decent man?

"Of course I will Max, but that doesn't change the fact that, unless one of us has supernatural healing powers, you can't even walk." I said in dismay, squeezing his hand so that he didn't take my comment as an insult.

I stared at him for a long moment, feeling disappointment flood over me. I tried not to let it show, but I had been hoping his problem would be something that I could help with. Obviously I don't know Alex enough to talk him in to confessing his problems, and I had never been good with making plans and being sneaky.

Still, wanting to show Kyle I would help if I could, I said, "Is there anything I can do?"
