"i'd be crazy not to agree to that ,oreos are my favourite so i accept " she throws the oreo into her mouth and smiles. For some reaason she reminds me alot of Tess. i laugh as I grab a handful of cookies out of the bag.
"Well allow me to escourt you to your room." I begin to lead her out of the kitchen and up the stairs to the guest bedroom.
"So we'll get to do formal introductions later ,but I'm just going to throw some names at you so when the time comes you know who to protect and who to kill. Liz is my sister. She's going through a rough time right now, but she'll pull through. She always does. Tess is our cousin. She may seem a little overprotective, but it's just because she's seen way to much evil in her young life. Michael is the love of my life. It should be nice to you even though you kill his friends for a living. If he isn't I'll take him down. No need to worry."
I smile at her excitedly. It's nice to have some new blood around here.
"Kyle and Alex are both our best friends and innocents keep a special look out for them. They mean the world to us. Isabel is a vengance demon I would so have you slay her if Alex didn't love her so much. Oh and if she wasn't pregnant with his baby. I dislike her with a firey passion. Remus is her friend who I actually like. He's a Dark lighter ,but I'm told he's reformed so as long as he doesn't threaten you. He's off limits. Moving on, I'm sure you know Max. He's our White lighter and has sunken into a deppression since Liz left him high and dry. That's a story you don't even want to know."
We've made our way up to te bedroom so i conclude mt tour.
"Any questions?"

I hear voices walking past my door. I cant help but hear... "Moving on, I'm sure you know Max. He's our White lighter and has sunken into a deppression since Liz left him high and dry. That's a story you don't even want to know."
I take a deep intake if breath. Thats what she thinks? He's the one who doesnt love me! Hes most of the reason Im in this mess! Why the hell would he be in depression!
My breathing quickens again and I immediately start coughing.
Maria really thinks that? She thinks that low of me?
I start hacking again, rocking back and forth.
Maria leads me up to the room i'll be staying in and boy was i ever right this girl can talk , i smile she's pretty cool

"yeah i know max we trained together as whitelighters"
"Any questions?"
"nope" i shake my head, this is the nicest place ive stayed in, in a long time
"Nonsence. You can't stay on the floor. I'll orb you to the bedroom." Maria says, kneeling near me once again.
"Go to sleep, sweetie. I'll see you in the morning." She says, after telling Max to watch me, and lays me on her bed. I feel so stupid; I shouldn't be the one needing help, but to be honest, I am beyond tired.
Taking her advice, I go to sleep, but I don't sleep well. I keep having these nightmares, about things in my past. Tossing and turning, I try to just lay there.
"nope" she shakes her head for confirmation. I give her a welcoming smile. "Alrighty then I'll just let you get in settled in." I state and then without warning I bust out laughing.
"You know I never understood why people say that. What is getting settled in exactly? I guess it's doing all those things you do when your at home. So feel free to jump on the bed, make prank phone calls, and clean your weapons. This is a safe place."
And with that I leave her to her divises. Seeing has how I am utterly exhausted I think I'll go ahead and turn in. Unfortunately there is a rather sexy man in my bed ,and I don't trust myself not to take advantage of his weakened condition. So, where to sleep? Tess is still a little wabbly from our battle before so I don't want to impose on her.
Remembering how Liz and I used to have to share a bed when we were little and the closeness that accompanyed because of it. I decide maybe it would do us both some good if I shacked up with her.
I knock lightly on Liz's door and I find that it is locked. I could unlock it using magic ,but since shes so adament about doing things all natural I think better of it.
"Hey Liz, it's Maria. Can I crash in there with you tonight?"

i laugh at Maria im really begining to like her.i walk into my room ,i feel odd saying that, i haven't stayed in once place longer than it took me to get some food and a few hours sleep and as for safe ,i cant remember what that felt like...but somehow in this house i do. i remember that im covered in demon blood from before as well as my own ,lifting my shirt i realise im to exhausted to heal myself right now.
I change into a black wifebeater and blue jeans with my boots, slipping my dagger into my boot just because i feel safe no need to fall out of habit. i head down stairs i need food and some bandages to cover the gaping hole in my stomach..it hurts like a bitch but ive learned to live with physical pain ,its the emotional that really screws you up.

I hear someone try my door. "Hey Liz, it's Maria. Can I crash in there with you tonight?"
"Why? I might leave you high and dry!" I shout at her, copying her words.
I shake violently. Is that what they all think? He hates me! He doesnt love me!
I start muttering again, "Voices.....doesnt love me...high and dry...evil Liz....run away....high and dry...."
"Why? I might leave you high and dry!" I She yells angerily. Just great she overheard me talking to Blair and got the wrong IDEA.
Through the door I hear her mumbling over and over,
"Voices.....doesnt love me...high and dry...evil Liz....run away....high and dry...."
"Come on Liz. I didn't mean it like that. Didn't you hear what I said about you? Look it's imparative that we remember you are the one who left him. He offered to give it all up for you and you bolted. That by definiton is leaving him high and dry. I talked to him afterwsrds and he was nothing short of destroyed he loves you, and yet you keep pushing him away. If you really don't care abou himt hen it's for the best what you did."
Talking to the door is getting real old real quick, "Are you going to let me in or not?"
