~Isabel~

I freeze when I hear Liz say something about Kyle missing. This just can't be happening. He couldn't have gone very far now can he? It's not like Roswell's a big town or anything. He probably just wandered down the street somewhere and he simply can't find his way back.

I watch as Max quickly rises from his seat and hurried outside. Liz stands up and rushes outside after him as I do the same. Once we're outside, I hear Liz ask Max if he see's Kyle anywhere. Then Liz suddenly starts blaming herself for the disappearence of Kyle.

"This is not your fault, its mine, if I had been paying attention to him rather than you then..."

My brother tells Liz and my eyebrow's shoot upwards as I stare at him, wondering what Liz will answer to that. Before Liz has a chance to say something, her boyfriend, or ex-boyfriend anyway's, comes rushing out of the Crashdown.

"Hey Lizzie!" He calls out and comes up behind Liz, placing a hand on her shoulder. "Don't worry we'll find him."

I cringe inwardly when I see my brother turn and look away. Seeing Liz with Nathan is killing my brother, even though apparently Liz and that guy aren't even together anymore.

Ever since Liz got back, which was only yesterday, I can't help but have noticed a difference in Max's behaviour. With Liz around him, he's a more grounded person, he's a better person with her in his life.

She left Roswell once, and my brother barely made it. I'm just scared that this time, when she leaves for Los Angeles after all of this is over, my brother won't make it.

~Liz~

"This is not your fault, its mine, if I had been paying attention to him rather than you then..."

When is he going to stop blaming himself for everything that happens around- Wait...what did he just say?

Before I have the chance to process what it is that he just said or before I have the chance to reply, Nathan comes out of the Crashdown.

"Hey Lizzie!" He quickly comes up from behind me and places a hand on my shoulder. "Don't worry we'll find him."

I see Max quickly turn around, acting as if he's looking for Kyle, but something tells me that's not really what he's doing.

"Max, what do we do now?" I ask as I take a step forward towards him. I know that Nathan and I are just friends now and I want Max to know that too. I don't want him thinking that there's something going on between me and Nathan.

I hear Liz take a step towards me and I swallow not wanting the two of them closer.
"Max, what do we do now?"

"Isabel and I find Kyle." I say quietly. "You two and..." I think quickly for her name "Serena...should go back to LA"

I can't believe Im saying it... and God knows i don't want to but... if Liz is still going to be with him after what he did... I don't want to know anymore.

"The mans right Liz. We don't belong here. Let's just go back home ok?" I say to her stepping closer again. "Come on Liz...Max doesn't want you in danger, surely you understand you don't belong here? Come on...lets go home"

I hear Nathans words and God all I want is to be...well kissing her. But I can't. Liz will never like or trust me again. And thats all my own doing. Maybe she should have a nice hunan guy. Hopefully not this jerk, but at least a guy.
"Isabel, go that way" I say pointing down one way of the street. "Take the jeep if you want. Ill go this way" I say pointing the other direction. I don't look at Liz or Nathan.

~Liz~

"Isabel and I find Kyle. You two and...Serena...should go back to LA"

My mouth practically drops open. Did henot hear a word I said before? I'm not going anywhere.

"The mans right Liz. We don't belong here. Let's just go back home ok?Come on Liz...Max doesn't want you in danger, surely you understand you don't belong here? Come on...lets go home"

Before I have the chance to speak up Max tells Isabel to go look for Kyle,

"Isabel, go that way. Take the jeep if you want. Ill go this way"

I quickly whirl around to face Nathan, "Nathan I'm not going anywhere." I tell him. "I'm staying. I don't care what you think or what Max thinks I should do," I turn my head and look directly at Max.

I cross my arm's defiantly over my chest. No one's going to make me leave. I turn back to face Nathan. "I don't care what you do, but I'm staying."

"Nathan I'm not going anywhere. I'm staying. I don't care what you think or what Max thinks I should do,"

I sigh. She likes him. A lot. You can just tell the way she said that. If he hurts her Ill kill him.

"I'm staying,"
I make the mistake of turning to look at her and I see her with her arms crossed, staring at me. I swallow hard.

~~~~~NATHAN~~~~~
"Then Im staying" I confirm looking at Max.

I look between the two of them and eventually force myself to look away.
"Need to...look for Kyle" I mutter as I walk away down the street.

~Isabel~

"Need to...look for Kyle"

I watch as my brother takes off down the street, barely looking at either Nathan or Liz.

This is the perfect opportunity for me to go after him and maybe try to make him see straight.

Before taking off after him, I turn to Liz and Nathan. "You guy's take that way," I say, pointing to me right. "And I'll go look for Kyle with Max. We can meet back here in fifteen minutes, okay?"

~Liz~

"Fine with me," I answer with a small sighed. I was about to go after Max myself but it looks like Isabel wants to go after him herself.

~Isabel~

"Alright," I say, "We'll see you in fifteen."

I quickly leave them and head down the street. I hurriedly speedwalk down the street towards my brother and several minutes later I finally catch up to him.

"Max, wait up." I call out.

As I start to walk with Liz I look at her. "So...can I ask what happened with you two? Cos its obvious you like him you know" I state quietly.

"Max, wait up."
I stop long enough for her to catch up, "Are you gonna shout at me now" I ask dullly as I look for Kyle.

~Isabel~

"Are you gonna shout at me now"

"I'm not going to shout Max." I answer him. God, he's talking like all I ever do is shout at people. "I just want to know what's going on with you. And Liz. I really think she still likes you Max. The way she was talking before. I don't think she's just staying because of this whole Khivar thing."

~Liz~

Nathan and I start walking down the street when Nathan suddenly opens his mouth to talk,

"So...can I ask what happened with you two? Cos its obvious you like him you know"

I stay silent for a couple of seconds, thinking of my answer carefully. "I thought I was over him, you know?" I answer him finally as we continue to walk. "I mean, I thought that after almost seven year's I was finally over him. I guess that wasn't the case."

"I'm not going to shout Max. I just want to know what's going on with you. And Liz. I really think she still likes you Max. The way she was talking before. I don't think she's just staying because of this whole Khivar thing."

I scoff. "Yeah right Is. Im sorry, but theres no way. She just wants Khivar gone so she can get on with her life in LA. She doesn't like me and I don't blame her. Hell I don't like me. She could never trust me again let alone like me" I say, my heart sinking further if thats possible as my mouth says it.

"I thought I was over him, you know? I mean, I thought that after almost seven year's I was finally over him. I guess that wasn't the case."

I look at her. "You do know he's not over you right? I mean did you see the looks he's been giving you? He's like a puppy in heat"

~Isabel~

"Yeah right Is. Im sorry, but theres no way. She just wants Khivar gone so she can get on with her life in LA. She doesn't like me and I don't blame her. Hell I don't like me. She could never trust me again let alone like me"

I can't help but let out a small giggle. I know this situation isn't really funny, I mean we could all be dead by tommorow if Khivar decides to attack, Kyle's missing and Khivar gave him a pretty bad case of the dizzies. But I mean, this guy standing right next to me is pretty damn - there's not even a word to describe him right now.

"Max your talking crazy, you know that?" I tell him. "But I mean seriously. Did she tell you all this? Did she tell you that she would never trust you ever again? That she hated you and wanted nothing to do with you?"

"You do know he's not over you right? I mean did you see the looks he's been giving you? He's like a puppy in heat"

I let out a small snort, "Get out of here." I say, "Come on, Nath. He wants me out of here. I mean I comepletely left him seven years ago with not so much as a goodbye. He's moved on with his life, he doesn't feel that way about me anymore."
