"Sure" I nodded my head in agreement as I followed her into the kitchen



Victor

I arrived at the Valenti's and was greeted by his wife at the door and then led into the ballroom.

Immediately I scoped out the room to catch a glimpse of Isabel.She wasn't around.

As soon as Isabel entered the kitchen I locked the door. I then saw a servant heading my way.
"Hey do me a favour, make sure this door stays locked for at least 5 minutes. Then unlock it. Thanks"
I smile as I walk away back to the ball room.

Suddenly Isabel's coming in. I get a few seconds to look at her before I see Maria's figure shutting the door and locking it. "No! Maria!" I moan. I see her leaving.
"Great" I mutter.

Isabel

I heard the door lock behind me as soon as I entered the kitchen and I turned around and shouted..."Maria what do you think you are doing?Come back here this instant."

Thump Thump...I banged on the door but it was no use,it remained locked.

I turned around and saw Alex..."Oh great,so this was a trap,a match making attempt on her part." I said looking at him

"Should have told her not to bother since you aren't interested."

Kyle

"Okay I'm all set." I said to Michael after I had finished tying my tie.

"Let's go.This ought to be a fun evening,all the eligible bachelors vying for the girls' attention."

"Not intrested?" I repeat.
I turn around so I don't have to look at her.
"Think what you want Isabel. But don't mind me if I don't agree with that statement" I tell her.

Isabel

"Can you blame me for thinking that?" I asked with an accusatory tone in my voice

"No." I answer. But I don't say anything else. Because I can't. I can't. If I did I would tell her everything and I can't do that.

Isabel

"Talk to me please.Is it that hard for you to tell me what's on your mind?I want to hear whatever it is...please Alex...we'll deal with." I was almost out of patience and I could hear the note of desperation in my voice

God Im going to break...I can feel it.....God I love her so damn much....
But she loves Victor....
But she said she was falling for me...
"Love you" I mutter.
Sugar.
Did I just say that?
Oh God, Please don't let her have heard that!

Love you...did he just say that or was it my imagination

I got up and went over to where he was standing and put my hand on his shoulder

"Alex...do you love me?" I asked barely able to get the question out because a lump had formed in my throat
