"Sure" I answer not looking at her.

We sat together for a few minutes not talking until I took his hand in mine and asked him again..."Please tell me what's on your mind?And don't tell me nothing 'coz I can see something's bothering you."

I waited for him to speak but when he didn't I got up..."Fine then Alex,don't talk,but you don't have to pretend that everything is hunky-dory.Give me some credit will you,I do have brains and I can see you are freaked about something." I said annoyed before walking abck into my room

"Mrmm," I grumbled, my usual morning reply at least until the third cup of coffee. So, several cups later, I turned to Maria. "You didn't do anything, it's just too early in the morning to process anything," I said, smiling. "But, we have to whole day to do anything we want, so the day should get better."

Liz and I stayed talking all night.....and before we both knew it the sun was rising and the storm was gone, but I was still in pain. Only I didn't really pay attention to it when I was with Liz. "wow, that's a first.." I laughed. "I've never spent the entire night just talking." I saw the look she gave me, and quickly defended myself. "No...really...Liz you are really something you know...So, How about that second chance?" I asked her with pleading eyes once more.

This is not something I can talk about with her. I can't. I walk up the steps to the balcony and go into my room. I freshen up and head down stairs where I bump into Kyle.
"Hey" I say.

"Yeah...and I am right in thinking the dance is tonight?" I ask.

Michael

I looked at the calendar, confirming the date. "Yeah, I guess it is." I say, pouring another cup of coffee. The caffeine is finally kicking in, and I already feel much more awake. "So what would you like to do before the dance?" I ask, sitting up a bit straighter.

"Hey!what's up?" I asked Alex noticing the morose look on his face

I went back into my room..."MEN!!they are verbally challenged when it comes to expressing their feelings." I said out aloud,not caring who heard

I decided to go down to the Valenti's generously stocked library and sit there for a while with a good book to take my mind off things.

I inhaled sharply. Here it was. I'd managed to avoid the question last night, but I didn't think I could dodge it this time. Turning back to him, i looked into his eyes. "Max... I like you a lot."

Liar, a voice in my head taunted me, you more than like him. Admit it!

"No!" I said loudly, and then blushed at Max's puzzled look. "I mean... I really like you Max, but I don't know if... if I trust you." I saw his face crumple, and I quickly corrected myself. "No, I mean, I don't even know you. Why don't we just try being friends? You can get to know me, I can get to know you...?"
