"Maria.." My lover says my name like a prayer as he rushes to me and garhers me up tightly in his arms. I know it's only been a manner of minutes but it feels like we've spent a lifetime a part. His eyes search mine for answers I can't bare to give. Tears threaten to fall but I force them back. Struggling to be strong my composure breaks when he stammers "Where did you...?"

My bottum lip quivers defiantly. I bite it back to keep from losing control. "It doesn't matter." I whisper knowing how had this is gonna be on all of us. I want to scream! It's not fair. Max gets to go with Liz, but I have to face the scary unknown alone. How is equal?

"I have to go away for awhile." I manage as my eyes instantly become downcast. I can't look at him. If I do I'll never be able to go through with it.

"I don't know how long I'll be gone or even if..." I trail off afraid to finish the statement.

"I don't know how long I'll be gone or even if..." Maria says, looking like she's about to cry, and I let go, moving away from her.

"Wait...where? why?" I ask, feeling like a fool who's been left out of an extremely important conversation.

"What is going on?" I ask, trying to maintain a calm voice. I knew earlier was too good to be true. Sure, happiness can't last forever in my experience, but why is everything happening so suddenly?

He abruptly releases me and moves away. I swallow soundlt trying not to let the pain regester.

"Wait...where? why?" he questions with a look in his eye I can't quite figure out.

"What is going on?" the love of my life asks in the form of a demand. Anxiously I glance at Liz who shrugs. I don't know if I'm allowed to tell him what we are doing. The anger rises within me and I do nothing to stop it. Screw it! If they are taking me away from him he at least has the right to know why.

"The Elders want us to go back to our past lives. Apparently there is some kind of mistake we all make that we are 'destined' to relive if we don't learn from it. They... They don't want us to be together." My face scrunches up as I fight off emotion, Tears will do nothing to solve this problem. Only strength of will can.

"I have to go... and prove them wrong." I state with more resolve then I feel.

"It's a stupid Charmed One thing. Max is only going because he is meant to protect us. I. I. think it has something to do with the curse. The Exhaulted One, this bigwig, up there mentioned out Mother and Father and the mistake they made. I couldn't forgive myself if something ever happened to you ,because of me."

Erasing the distance between us I throw my arms around his neck.

"I'm sorry. I made you promise to never leave me and now I'm doing it."

I listen as she explains the whole thing, about going to a past life, and about leaving, just the three of them and Max.

"Why can't I go with you? As protection?" I question in a last minute attempt to convince her.

I know that she has to do this, but something about it feels off to me. I bring my hands up to rest on her arms, looking deep into her eyes.

"You aren't technically leaving if you come back," I say quietly, before stopping all speech. I feel like there's nothing I can do to stop her from going.

"Why can't I go with you? As protection?" His words shatter my heart into a million pieces. I wnat him to go ,but then again I fear of what I was in the past. It's no secret that I share my Father's wild side. What if I wasn't able to control it then? What if I was the one who ruined everything? No. It's best that Michael not come on this journey.

His arms slide possessively up my arms in an act to comfort,"You aren't technically leaving if you come back," he whispers and I smile at him weakly.

"I don't think that the Elders would let you go even if I wanted you to ,and I'm not ashamed to admit that I'm scared to death of what we'll find. You need to stay here and look after Alex and Isabel. Sebastion is still out there and when he finds out that they got married he will be furious. I don't want to leave them at such a crucial and dangerous time, but it appears that we have no choice."

Rising on my tip toes I bestow upon him a passionate kiss.

"I'm coming back... to you" I swear knowing that if it is within my power I will do just that.

I am right now setting at the kitchen table glaring at the clock, phone and, my cell phone each in that order waiting for a call or text message or something at this point not only would message in a bottle not be weird but it would be welcomed!

No body is here except Dustin who had to go to work of course leaving me alone in the empty house. Which wouldn’t really worry me except after the loud thunder and then everyone disappearing. I just really hope where ever they are they have clothing. And wow be on any demon who spirited Maria away from her beddly activities.

“At times like this Liz would probably say head to the attic so maybe I should go there... who am I talking to?”

“No one.”

“Ok.” I blink shake my head and head up stairs some times it’s just best not to think about these things.

I open the door and come face to face with every body. “Ok.... What the hell is going on?”

Wrapping my arm around Liz's shoulder I bend down slightly and whisper "They deserve to be alone right now". I begin to walk hoping Liz will follow.

"Max...Im confused...I don't understand..." I murmur.

"Theres nothing to understand. Don't worry. Everything will turn out alright."

I bury my head in his shirt.
