Maria jumps, obviously in thought, and I stand there, grinning as she recovers. "Oh Hi." She flips over a notebook, and I try to see what it is, but fail. I don't want to pry.
"Whatcha got there?" She asks, eyeing my lunch with a grin on her face.
"Lunch courtesy of my mother," I reply, taking a seat next to her. "She always packs me enough for a family of four. I never eat it all."

Interesting another tid bit of information that helps me figure out how this guy ticks.
"Hmm. Well, what's today's special." I knod at the bag.
It must be nice to have someone who cares that much about you. I would pass out if Hank made me a lunch. His idea of proper child care has always been beer and cigarettes that all you need.

I open the sandwich and the tabasco sauce, but before dousing it, hold out a half to Maria, who doesn't seem to have a lunch. "Want some? I'll throw in the pudding."
"Hmm. Well, what's today's special." She asks, and I smile at her, opening it.
"Hmm, let's see. PB&J, a coke, tabasco sauce, and apple, and...the special dessert...a pudding snack! It's like she still thinks I'm five. But I love her anyways."

I smile at the way he talks sbout his mother. She must be really nice. I can't help but wondeer what my mother is like. I mean she gave me up so she couldn't have been thrilled to have me. Still sometimes I day dream that it wasn't hurt fault that she had to give me away. Usually in the fantacy she comes looking for me. The end is pretty simple too. She takes me away from Hank, but alas that's all it is. A silly dream.
Always the gentleman he offers me half of the sandwich before pouring hot sauce all over his. "Want some? I'll throw in the pudding."
"Now that's an offer I can't refuse." Taking a big bite out of the sandwich I can't hep but giggle with delight. Oh my god, I just giggled. next i'm going to be sporting pom poms and a push up bra. It's just that I haven't ate since... Um I don't remember. I never got around to cooking dinner last night, and I got shot before my break at the Crash so maybe yesterday morning? Hmm.

i walk into the school, im excited practically bouncing off the walls but i keep it to myself. i have yet to see Ria...i cant believe i have a friend and ..and ..wow . ok i need to calm down i have english first woo! i subject a like.
ok the teachers a bore but whatever.i have two more periods which fly by and in no time ,its lunch i hope i see Ria .i go to my locker and get out my home packed lunch as per Ria's advice, popping my ipod into my ears and turning it up 'science fiction' by the devinyls plays but i turn my ipod back off cause i can see Ria in the Quad having lunch. i let out a silent squeal, and half skip half jump over to where shes sitting. i hug her quickly and sit down beside her
"hi Ria" i nearly wave but then hold myself back at the last moment ,instead just smile but my smile starts to fade when i see the bruise on her face. i know that sort of bruise had a few of them myself, i finally notice the person sitting with Ria, turning towards him.

Maria's hastey depature from The Crashdown last night more than irked me. In fact I was worrisome all night long, and that was not good for my beauty sleep. In fact I look like crap today and it's all Maria's fault. I'm going to make sure she gets a good scolding. I made through the first couple of periods okay.
Although I had some pretty intense problems with the math. I mean why does there have to be letter in it. Wouldn't that make it English? Ugh, I make my way to the quad after grabbing some snacks out of the vending machine. I was lucky enough to remember it's mystery meat day at the cafe. *shudder*. What those ladies come up with is just not natural.
When I reach the picnic tables a very interesting vison startles me.
Maria and Michael eating lunch together? I think I have offically entered the twillight zone. That or I have stepped into a poorly written Dawson's creek episode.
Then my eyes lock on the blonde bombshell standing beside them. Wow! She must be new. I hear Maria ask Michael,
"Isn't your mouth on fire?" Then the girl with the most beautiful blue eyes that has ever existed introduces herself as Tess.
Deciding to play up this oppertuinty I slide in next to Maria who in turn has to scoot closer to Michael.
"So Michael your lips are on fire? Have you been kissing Maria because one guy told me that..."
A quick kick in the shin is all it takes to shut me up. Well, to change topics anyways. I give Maria the 'that hurt' look, but there is no sympathy in her gaze. Hmmm.
"Since Maria looks like she's about to strangle me I guess I'll introduce myself. Hi I'm Kyle."

"Hi Ria" The girl i met yesterday smiles. I was wondering when she'd turn up. Her nervous gaze lands on Michael and suddenly she seems unsure of herself. I know that feeling.
"I'm so sorry are yous having a private convo? I can totally leave I just come over to say hi, oh hi im tess!" Then she waves.
Kyle takes that exact moment to grace us with his presence. Toting three bags of chips. I almost laugh. That is until the bastard speaks.
"So Michael your lips are on fire? Have you been kissing Maria because one guy told me that..."
I kick him as hard as I can under the table causing him to stop the embarassing story. I can't believe him! He slides into the seat next to me forcing me to get closer to Michael. Not that I'm complaining I just don't want to freak him out.
"Since Maria looks like she's about to strangle me I guess I'll introduce myself. Hi I'm Kyle."
I can't supress the smile that creeps across my lips. Real smooth Valenti. I can already tell he's crushin on her. This could be fun.
"Well hello Kyle, its a pleasure to meet you " Tess states politely.
Turning to him I state loud enough for the entire table to hear,"Kyle stop drooling. It is very unbecoming."
His cheeks turn a bright scarlet and for once he seems to be at a loss for words.

"You should come to The Crash after school." I inform her as i take a bite of the pudding Michael gave me. Mmm Delish.
"Isabel and I have to work ,but I could sneak you some free fries." I offer giving her a warm smile. or attempting too. The briuse on my face doesn't leave much room for motion.
"Hey you never give me free fries!" Kyle pipes up. It is then that he notices my face.
His fingertips graze my cheek carefully, "Hey Ria what happened?" His voice is filled with councern. I hate it when people feel sorry for me.
"Uh. I fell." I say.Yes, a lame excuse ,but he put me on the spot.
"Anyways, so The Crash after school you in?" Ia sk trying to avoid the whole bruise subject.
"So how has your day been? my has been excellent ,i had english but the teachers a bore and science ,i love science but i have no clue as to what is going all the things i cant see makes me a little concerned...i did it again didn't i? went off on a rant all about me when i asked you a question" She apologozes and take out a piece of cold pizza.
