Re: How was your day?

Waited all day for the Lost finale event with my mom and brother keeping me company.

Didn't exactly turn out the way I wanted it to, but I did enjoy it.

Now I'm sad cause its over.

I don't think another show will have this kind of effect on me. Not even Roswell did - surprisingly.

R.I.P. Lost.

Never seen Lost. I imagine one day I'll get around to it, but I never felt the urge to see it the way others around me have. *shrugs* I attribute this to the initial season, when I was flipping the channels and coverage came on about the show. I must have missed the first part of what the commentator was saying (I didn't realize this at the time, of course), so they related Lost as being about a group of people stranded from a plane crash on Hawaii. This was my reaction: "Dude...if your plane crashed on Hawaii, you'd be found in a grand total of about 2 milliseconds." (I later found out it wasn't Hawaii, and that they had merely filmed on Hawaii, so that made me feel better about the show.) Even so, I never felt the pull to it.

My day, so far...awesome. Finished a good book this morning, checked my email and discovered that I got a 96 on my final (a 25 page argument on incarceration in book form) for English. Frankly, I wasn't expecting that at all. My teacher was a minutiae grader, and she marked me down on previous essays for the smallest things. I figured pulling off a high B would have been fine. But no. Happy surprise for me.

I love happy surprises.

Congrats on the grade Alli!

As for Lost, you can wait to see it on DVD if you ever get interested later. After the series finale last night ... I'm still a bit peeved with how it all ended.

6 yrs ... and all I got was that?! :( I'm sadly disappointed.

Still haven't been to work yet, but I plan on doing so tomorrow. Can only imagine the amount of work that's piled up for me. And seeing as this week Memorial Day Weekend is coming up - I'm going to be pulling a lot of hours trying to make up a weeks worth of work in just 4 days.

Oh well :?

Oh, Alli, we're the same person!

I have never felt the urge to watch Lost either. Frankly with the way people talk about it I'm never going to want to watch it either. From what everyone posts about flashing sideways, polar bears on a tropical island and some mystical underground cave it seems like they tried too hard to make it as confusing as possible and then dug themselves into a corner they couldn't get back out of. But I'm glad it's over, now I don't have to hear anyone talk about it.

My day was ok. Just uni'ing and watching people respond to my new haircut. It was down to the middle of my back, now it's just past my jawline. It's a pretty massive change and I'm told that initially I'm pretty unrecognisable.

Woke up this morning ... to get to work extra early ... only to have my lazy ass 18 yr old sister say that she couldn't give me a ride to the bus station because she was tired ( I had asked her the night before to do this for me and she agreed). Of course, it didn't help that she didn't go to bed until 3:30 a.m. because all the girl does is nothing but facebook all day, email/chat with her boyfriend (which my parents don't know about), and then she sleeps until nearly 3 pm. The life of a college student right? WRONG! She's a fucking lazy ass spoiled bitch!!! She doesn't even have a damn job!

At her age, I had a job and school to juggle. But because she's the youngest and the most spoiled, she gets away with it.

I fucking hate her, sometimes!

So, I had to run/walk to the bus stop only to be narrowly miss the bus. And to top it off, I was sweating like a pig, it was foggy as shit where my parents live and I still have this sinus infection/migraine headache. This day just started out so perfectly!

O.k. I'm good now - just needed to vent. Glad that I got that out. :D

Especially after this. My hair hits to the middle of my back right now, and I need to get it cut. How short am I thinking of getting it cut? Uh...about to the jawline.

Yeah.

Ellie, people suck. This is true. I'm sorry someone sucked for you when it was incredibly inconvenient for someone to suck for you (although that's usually when people choose to suck the most), and I feel you about the sibling preference. I have three of them, I'm in the middle, and no good can come of this combination. (I've always felt I have a unique perspective on being ignored...but that's a topic for another day.) Just know that you're awesome.

Must be haircut season. Today I buzzed my hair military-style, which I always do when it gets hot. But I don't think my son likes it, because I swear he starts crying every time he sees me.

This morning I went running for the first time in like 3 months, and almost got hit by a golf cart...that was fun. Aside from that the rest of my day was pretty slandered. Went to work. Came home. Ate dinner. Watched Ninja Assassin for like the fifth time in three days. And now I'm off to play Splinter Cell with my brother for about the next three hours, which is probably not a good idea, since I have to work tomorrow, but what can I say. Tom Clancy is a motha trucking genius.

The rest of your day was maliciously gossiped about? I think you mean standard

And Chad, how long have I been your stupid quote of the week? You know, I think this might be the second time I've graced your signature. What did I say the first time?

My thing is ... if you say you are/can/will do something, then follow thru and do it! Otherwise, you are a liar to me.

Coincidentally, it will be the last time I ask her for any kind of favor. This has been a pattern of hers for a while now, and I'm sick to death of it. She's just shown me time and time again how irresponsible she is/can be with her "word". It's for shit and I'm not excusing her any longer.
