Prologue

She ran, ran for seemed like miles. She couldn’t get the image out of her head. Max, laying there in bed with…..with… suddenly she was sick. Suddenly she was throwing up all over the place. She took a deep breath and kept going until she got to her destination. The lights were off in the house but she knew Maria deluca her best friend was still up. She ran around to the back and seen the faint dim l glow of the night light In maria’s bedroom through the window. She felt sick again. She quickly banged on the glass. Maria jumped and looked over to the window. She saw Liz standing there. She quickly opened the window. She knew something was wrong.

“What the hell happened?” Maria asked Letting liz in. Liz sat on the bed and pulled her knees up to her chin and started crying.

“What happened liz? You need to stop crying” Maria said brushing her hair away from her face.

“ I saw him…with..her” Liz said softly.

“saw who? Max? with…” Then it dawned on her what she was trying to say.

“They were in bed together. She was half naked practically laying on top of him” Liz said seeing the image in her mind.

“ you cant be sure they…did anything” Maria said.

“ I saw the condom wrapper on the floor maria. I know they did something. How could he!” Liz said crying.

“ Its ok babe , don’t worry I’ll take care of his sorry ass” maria said as she hugged her best friend.

Max felt weird he slowly came to. He had no idea where he was or what happened. He barely remembered The party. He felt groggy, he sat up and looked around.

“Where am I?” he said softly. He heard the bath room door click then open. A beautiful blond he had recognized walked out.

“Tess?” He asked.

“Good morning sleepy head” She said softly with a smile.

“What happened I… don’t remember anything from last night” Max said. Tess giggled a little and sat down next to him on the bed.

“What? You don’t remember I night filled with passion?” She said as she leaned over to kiss him. Max was terribly confused.

“What?” he said quickly getting up.

“You came up here with me, said you loved me and wanted to make love to me and….well you know the rest” Tess said as she laid across the bed suductly.

“What…no…We…I…Don’t remember anything! We couldn’t have!” max said freaking out right about now. He had no idea what was going or what him and tess actually did. Max quickly grabbed his clothes and headed out the door. How was he going o explain this to Liz. ‘oh god liz!’ he thought as he quickly left.

ok so The first chapter is different then what I planned. Im going to back and forth from the past to the present ( I think) so that way people know what happens in between and dont get confused.! Enjoy! short ch I know I just wanted to get to the point the next one wil be longer I promise!

Chapter one

“ I saw you….with her” Liz said tears were running down her face.

“I’m sorry…I don’t even know what happened. I mean we were all drinking at the party..I don’t even think I even drunk that much….I don’t even remember being with her” Max said trying to make sense of everything.

“ You were my first! I trusted you!” Liz yelled.

“ I seriously baby don’t know what happened! I don’t love tess I love you!” Max yelled.

“I hate you!” Liz yelled. She started to run out of the room. She made it to the door but max stepped in front of her.

“Let me out!” Liz yelled.

“No! Im telling you I don’t remember a thing! Tess must of drugged me or something” Max said. He wanted more then anything to straigten things out with her. He would never hurt her not like this.

“ Get out of my way max evans!” Liz yelled.

“No! Not till I get it through your beautiful head that I don’t what happened!” max yelled. Liz stepped back she wanted more then anything to slap max in the face. Max pulled Liz into his arms But she fought him.

“let go of me! I hate you!” Liz yelled.

“Liz please listen to me! I love you!” Max yelled. Liz pulled away from him and looked up into his.

“You don’t love me! If you didn’t you wouldn’t of been with her!” Liz yelled.

“Please liz If I loose you I will die inside! You’re my life! The only one I want to be with! That night we shared was the best night of my life! And I wouldn’t take it back for the world. And I sware to you I did not sleep with tess! I would never sleep with her! She’s not you!” Max yelled.

“Then what the hell do you call what I saw! Get out!” Liz yelled as she pushed him.

“I know your angry!” Max yelled.

“Get out!” She continued to yell.
“Hit me liz! Go ahead! It isn’t going to make me leave!” Max yelled. Liz kept hitting his chest until she couldn’t fight no more. She slumped to the floor in tears.

“Liz parker I Love you will All my heart and soul. Im not going to give up on us. Im going to figure out what tess did to me and prove to you I didn’t sleep with her” Max said softly. Liz wouldn’t listen to him.

“Get out!” She yelled again.

“ Im not leaving you” Max said as he sat on the floor with her and took her into his arms.

“You know deep down I would never hurt you. Im going to fight for us. I love you!” Max said cupping her face in his hands he softly kissed her lips. Liz let him kiss her. She was hurting inside but deep down something told her Max was being truthful. But Liz couldn’t get the picture of him in bed with her out of her mind. She pulled away and pushed him again.

“Leave me alone” Liz said as she turned her back on him.

“Is that what you want? You want to walk out on us! I cant do that!” Max yelled.

“Please! Havent you done enough all ready!” Liz yelled. Maria heard the yelling and screaming from the other side of the door. She quickly opened the door and walked in.

“What the hell is going on?” Maria asked seeing max there.

“ Nothing” Max said looking down tears were starting to form in eyes. Maria saw the tears running down her best friends face.

“ Maybe you should go max and give a little space” maria said taking her best friend in her arms.

“im not leaving” Max said.

“She doesn’t want to talk to you after what happened.” Maria said.

“Ria you know I wouldn’t do that to her. Im trying to explain to her. I don’t remember what happened that night” Max said pleading and trying to make them understand.

“ max you and me need to talk” Maria pulling outside the door and into the hall. Maria was about ready to slash at him. She wanted to slap him around a bit. He broke her best friends heart and That wasn’t going to fly with maria.

“I know you want to slap me right now. But you have to listen to me! I Love that girl with all my heart and soul! And to see her like this…it hurts me! I don’t know what happened! Honestly I don’t!” Max said as he leaned against the wall wanting to put his fist through the concrete.

“Tell me what please what led up to this? Because I like you as a friend and as my best friends boyfriend. You are the best thing that has ever happened to Lizzie. And that night when she came to my house and told me what she saw….It make me want to take a baseball bat to you and beat the hell out of you! Do you know what happened between tess and Liz? Did liz ever tell you?” Maria asked.

“No” Max said gratefull that maria didn’t want to beat him to a bloody pulp.

“ok I’ll explain on the way to the way to the crashdown" maria said.

Chapter 2a


“ Liz is hurt, and she will be hurting for a long time. Tess and Liz have a history. You see it all started our freshmen year of high school” maria said starting the story.

*Freshmen year of high school*

Liz stood in the hallway as she listened to the women talk to her dad at the door.

“She cant be” jeff parker said as he looked at the girl that was about the same age as his daughter Liz.

“She’s your daughter Jeff” The women said. Liz wasn’t sure if she heard the women right.

“ I think your mistaken” Jeff parker said.

“ Tess needs to know who father is” The women said.

“You need to leave” Jeff said.

“Does your wife know that you’ve been sending money to me for tess? Does she even know about the lies and the affair?” the women said.

“Please leave” jeff said slamming the door on there faces.

Tears started to roll down Liz’s face. She had a sister?


*The present*

“So tess is Liz’s half sister” Max said in disbelief.

“Yes and that’s why her parents are divorced. Tess always wanted the life Liz had. They’ve hated each other for years. Liz had the family, a father who loved her and Tess didn’t have that” Maria said.

“Why didn’t she tell me any of this” Max asked.

“Im the only one that really knows” maria said.

“ god! I messed everything up” Max said covering his face with his hands.

“ How much did you drink that night?” Maria asked.

“ I don’t think I was drunk. All I remember is saying something to someone about how I didn’t feel good and then I woke up the next morning in bed with tess” Max said trying not to relive the nightmare.

“ something sounds fishy” Maria said.

“I cant remember anything in between that time. Its all a blurr” Max said.

“Were going to get to the bottom of this” Maria said. She looked up and seen tess coming through the door. Before maria even had a chance to say or do anything max was getting up and walking towards tess.

“Max” maria said following. Max grabbed tess by the arm and pulled her outside.

“ We need to talk” Max said letting go of her arm.

“ About what? Our night together?” tess said with a smile.

“ What did you do to me that night?” Max asked.

“Nothing, I think you were a little drunk and a little horny that night you so couldn’t keep your hands off me” tess smiling.

“Max if you don’t do something right now Im going to bitch slap her myself” Maria said. Max held her back.

“ You drugged me didn’t you? You set the whole thing up so liz would see it didn’t you?” max asked.

“I have no idea what your talking about. All I know is we had sex and it was amazing.” Tess said.

“Oh that’s it!” Maria yelled. Max held her back once again.

“ If it was so amazing Why don’t I remember it?” Max asked.

“I don’t know. Maybe you were drunk. You came on to me buddy” She said.

“ I don’t believe anything that’s comes out of her mouth” maria said.

“ you weren’t there so wouldn’t know what we did or didn’t do. If I had the chance I would rumble in the sheets with you in a heart beat again” tess said with a smile as she walked away.

“oh yeah!” maria yelled as she started after her. Max grabbed her and held her back.

“Maria she isn’t worth it” Max said.

“Let me go max So I can pound her face in” Maria said struggling with max.

“no! That isn’t going to help the situation” Max said. Finally maria calmed down and max let her go.

“I hate that bitch” Maria said.
“I need answers” Max said.

“Yeah and so does Liz. You need to talk to her some more.” Maria said.


Liz laid on her bed and all she could do was cry. She went back to that night that her max had shared.


*Several weeks earlier*

“are you sure you want to do this?” Max asked. His heart was beating so hard he could barely breath. She was beautiful in everyway. He was practically shaking because he was so nervous. If he did this it would be his and liz’s first time. He knew it would be perfect because he was going to do it with someone special.

“Yes, Im sure…Im so nervous. I…don’t even know what to do” Liz said softly.

“ Im nervous too…I want you so bad Liz” Max said softly. He kissed her and pulled her closer. He put his hands underneath her shirt to feel the small of her back. He wanted to touch her all over he would to feel the inside or her.

“ Make love to me max” Liz said softly he wanted to more then anything. She pulled his shirt off to reveal his wonderful body. Liz could feel him shaking. Max pulled her shirt off revealing her lacy black bra that maria insisted that she buy.

“ your so beautiful” Max said softly.

“touch me max” Liz said softly.

“I’m…so nervous Im afraid I might hurt you” Max said softly looking her beautiful body over.

“ Im nervous to I…don’t even know what to do next” Liz said softly. Max took her by the hand and laid her on the bed.

Every touch was like ecstasy. Max was careful and gentel. He wanted to make sure there first time was perfect and that he didn’t hurt liz in anyway. They moved together in a slow perfect movement. Max felt like he was going to explode. The closer they got the more he wanted her. Her skin was so warm against his. Liz moaned softly in pleasure. She thought she was going to explode with touch and movement.

“Max” Liz cried out.

“Am I hurting you?” he asked.

“ It hurts a little” Liz said. Max buried his face in her hair. The smell of her hair was intoxicating.

“Max I love you” Liz said softly. No girl had ever told him those three little words. He was kind of caught off guard.

“I love you too” max said as he kissed her.

*The present*

Liz fet sick to her stomach. She quickly headed toward the bathroom. After she threw up she felt much better. She washed her face with cold water. She had been crying for hours. She thought maybe max would show up again. But he didn’t. She thought back to that night. She thought about the moment she walked through that door and saw them in bed together. The more she thought about it, the more the scene looked planned out. “stop thinking about it!” Liz yelled right now all she wanted to do was to curl up into a tiny ball and die.

She slumped onto the bathroom floor. She loved max with all her heart and soul. But How could she trust him now. How could she be with him after this. She saw him in bed with the one person who hated her with a passion. Her thoughts went back to that day she had first met tess.

*The past*

“Hi Im Liz, and I thought maybe we could be friends” Liz asked.

“friends? Why would I wanna be friends with you?” Tess asked.

“ Im trying to be nice” Liz said. Tess laughed.

“ your father cheated on your mother and then I came along. What in the world makes you think that I want to be nice to you” Tess said as she knocked her tray of food all over the floor.

* back to the present*

Maria knocked on the door and no one answered. She practically pounded on the door. Suddenly the door opened slowly.

“Hey” Liz said wiping her face.

“Are you ok?” Maria asked.

“ I could be better” Liz said plopping down on the couch. Maria sat down next to her.

“ Liz, Max cares about you so much. And I wouldn’t doubt it for one second that tess set everything up so you would break up with max. She has been wanting max ever since he walked in door of the school.” maria said.

“ She hates me it makes sense. She hates the fact that I have everything she never had” Liz said.

“I’ve known you for how long? And you’ve been through so much, your parents divorce, finding out tess the way you did, then your mother dying. You’ve survived all of it. Max is the best thing that has ever happened in your life. If don’t talk to him and find out what really happened you will loose him forever” Maria said.

“I don’t want to loose him” Liz said wiping her eyes.

“Look Im going to do some snooping. You get some rest.” Maria said hugging her tightly.

“Are you sure this is a good idea?” Michael asked pushing maria up to the window.

“ Just push ok” Maria said as Michael lifted her up to the window on his shoulders.

“this is called breaking and entering and I really don’t want to go to jail” Michael said.

“Just shutup and get in here and help me” maria said. Michael pulled himself up into the window and crawled in.

“We need to find something, anything” Maria looking through tess’s closet and drawers.

“What are you planning on finding?” Michael asked.

“I don’t know something” maria said.

“And what if we don’t find something?” Michael asked.

“Well I havent thought that far” Maria said. Suddenly maria heard someone.

“Hide” Michael said shoving maria into the closet.

“Michael” Maria whispered. Michael put his finger to her lips. They listened as tess came into her room. They were both praying she didn’t need anything out of the closet.

“Girl please don’t lecture me” tess said as Michael and maria listened.

“ I cant party tonight my mother wants to talk to me. She is she is freaking out about something. I don’t know what it has something to do with my loser father” Tess said on the cell phone.

“ whats the rumor around campus? Your kidding! Max and Liz arent together anymore! Yes! Oh…well that’s too bad” Anger started to boil in maria.

“ Well maybe I will have a chance now with max. Yeah we hooked up on the night of my party. It was amazing. Girl max is hot!” tess said laughing.

“yeah too bad we actually didn’t get to do it . He was so drunk he passed out before he had a chance to do anything. He was all over me though. I think he thought I was Liz or something. He kept moaning liz, Liz! Oh Liz I want you! So I made it look like we did something. And I think Liz might of walked in and saw us. They bitch doesn’t deserve max. shee cant satisfy him the way I can. Besides she is a virgin and little ms saint! ” tess laughed.

“That bitch!” Maria whispered. Michael had to cover her mouth.

“Well I gotta run My mother is keeps beeping in. Hey mom” tess said as she left the room. They both waited until tess was gone. Maria pushed Michael away from her.
“you were practically sitting on me!” maria said.

“ We had to hide somewhere!” Michael said. They started to head out the window when Michael heard the door opening again. Maria pushed Michael out the window he fell hard on the ground. Maria quickly climbed out the window and before Michael had a chance to move she fell hard on top of him.

“What the hell are you doing?” Michael whispered.

“saving our butts.” Maria didn’t realize she was still on top of him.

“Umm…do you mind getting off me?” Michael asked.

“oh sorry” Maria said as she quickly got up.

“I sware I think you about Killed me” He said getting up and holding his side.

“ shut up” Maria said brushing herself off.

“ We have to go tell Liz” Maria said hurrying off.

Liz stuffed whatever she could into her bag. She needed a break from everything. She heard a soft knock at the door.

“Come in” Liz said softly. She knew who walked in.

“Hey” max said softly.

“Hey” Liz said with her back still turned to him. Max noticed she was packing.

“Going somewhere?” Max asked.

“actually yeah, Im going to visit my dad for a while” Liz said as she started looking around for things to stuff in her bag.

“For how long” Max asked.

“I don’t know, Until I think straight” Liz said suddenly she felt dizzy.

“ Liz I miss you. And I Know this has been a step backwards for us. But leaving isn’t going to solve anything” Max said.

“I need this. Besides My dad has been wanting me to come see him. He wants me to meet his new fiancee” Liz said.

“ you cant leave without fixing this…or us.” Liz just ignored him.

“ I keep thinking, why? Why her? Then I realize why you would want to be with her. She is sexier, and beautiful, geez she has everything I don’t.” She hinted at her body. Tess did have big boobs and most of the guys did stare at them.

“I don’t want to be with her. Her body doesn’t even compare to yours. I want your body. If I didn’t We wouldn’t of gave it away to each other” Max said softly.

“Max I would never give up that moment for the world. I…..just need time” Liz said as she furiously pushed down on her bag to stuff everything in it. She was still angry. Grabbed her arm and pulled her towards him.

“ I’ll give you time if you need it. I want you to come back to me” He said kissing her softly. He wrapped his arms around her waist and kissed her again.

“Max” Liz whispered out of breath. Max stroked her lips with his thumb. He knew that drove Liz wild.

“ I love you and you only, you’re the only one I think about. And ever since the night of the party….I knew I messed up its my fault.” Max said trying hold pain his pain. Liz couldn’t help but cry.

“Please don’t cry” Max whispered. He leaned and kissed her again. This time they were so caught up in the moment. Max wanted her, he wanted to feel her again. It was driving him even more crazy.

“Max” Liz moaned as he kissed her neck and touched. He pulled off her shirt and she pulled off his shirt and they kissed passionately. Suddenly there was a banging on the door.

“Ignore it” Max said pulling her attention to him.

“Liz! Open up!” Maria yelled.

“ She’ll go away” Liz said as max walked her over to the bed. Then there was an even bigger knock.

“Max I know your in there Your car is parked out here! Its important” Michael’s voice said through the door. Max let go of Liz, she quickly grabbed her shirt and pulled it on. She opened the door and was surprised to see Maria and Michael standing there….together.

“Whats going on?” Liz asked. Michael looked around at them.

“Did we….interupt something?” Michael asked.

“ No Max was just leaving” Liz said as she opened the door for him.

“ No you two both need to be here for what we have to say” Maria said. Maria pulled out her cell phone.

“Ria this isn’t the time to be making phone calls” Michael said.

“No you idiot, I recorded everything that tess said on here. I forgot it had a built in recording device. I recorded in while we were in the closet” Maria said. Max laughed.

“closet?” he said looking at Liz.

“ shutup, and listen” He gave max the cell and listened to everything tess had said. Anger fueled Inside max when he handed the phone to liz and she listened. Max was mad but Liz was even more angry. She jumped up and speed out of the room.

“Umm…I have a feeling there is going to be a problem” Michael said. Max quickly ran after her. He found her half way down the hall.

“She isn’t worth it now we know the truth” Max said pulling her towards him. Liz pushed him away.


“you were drunk! What if did really happen? Im relieved that I know the truth But It still doesn’t hide the fact that you were to drunk to even know what you were doing! My god! You went upstairs with intending to do something!” Liz said.

“Liz! Please! Im sorry!” Max said pleading with her. He grabbed her arm.

“Let go of me” Liz said with an angry tone.

“I’m sorry..I just want everything to be the way it was” max said pleading with her. Liz felt dizzy, She held her stomach. Suddenly everything turned black. She collapsed in max’s arms.

Chapter 3

Liz woke up in the emergency room. She felt exhausted and tired.

“What happened?” liz asked.

“Girl sit down don’t even try to get up.” Maria said pushing her back down.

“I want to go I hate hospitals” Liz said.

“chill till the doctor comes in” maria said.

Max paced back and fourth in the er waiting room.

“Chill Maxwell” Michael said.

“ She hates me now. And look what happens” Max said wanting to punch the wall. It was his fault and tess’s fault. He shouldn’t of drunk that much at the party and none of this wouldn’t of happened.

“ Maxwell, Its your fault and That Blind bimbo bitches fault. She took advantage of the situation.” Michael said.

“ I hate this” Max said sitting down in one of the chairs.

The doctor finally came in. He looked over all the paperwork on his clipboard.

“Well you need to get plenty of rest, and liguids and pretty keep from getting a lot of stress ms parker. And by the way congratulations your pregnant” The doctor said. Maria’s jaw dropped.

“umm…can you..like repeat..that please” Liz said shaking.

“your pregnant ms parker. You need to eat properly and get plenty of rest and make sure you don’t get a lot of stress.” The doctor said with a smile as he left.

“Liz did he…just say…your..” maria said shocked.

Later that day -

Liz paced the room trying to figure of ways to tell max. She always wanted kids but she didn’t want them this soon. She knew that giving the child up wasn’t an option there was no way she could do that. She held her stomach suddenly she was feeling sick. ‘maybe I should eat something’ liz said to herself. She really didn’t have anything in the frige, except for some chocolate pudding. She quickly grabbed the snack pack chocolate pudding and ripped it opened. She stuck her finger in it and licked it off her fingers.

“dam that’s good” She said as she leaned against the counter and savored the chocolate. Suddenly she heard a knock. She set the chocolate cup down and went to the door.

“Hey” Max said softly.

“Hi” she said softly.

“Are you ok? You left the hospital without telling me” max said looking at her.

“I’m fine, just a little stress and I havent been eating…and…that’s all” She said.

“are you sure?” Max asked.

“yeah Im sure” Liz said nervously looking down. She didn’t know how to tell him. And she wasn’t sure how he was going to react to this suprising news. They weren’t planning on having any babies.

“you don’t look too sure” Max said.

“I’m ok…but there is…something we need to talk about” Liz said as she started pacing and trying to find the words to say.

“ok spill” max said as he sat down.

“I…don’t know how to say this butt…” Liz started to shake she was so nervous.


“ Liz calm down” max said taking her hand in his. Liz took a deep breath and sat down, max sat down next to her. All Liz wanted to do was cry. She covered her face with her hands.

“Baby don’t cry” Max said softly touching her face.

“What are we going to do max?” Liz asked.

“What do you mean? Were going make it work. I love you with all my heart and soul.” max said softly.

“God Im only 20 years old! Im still in college! I don’t know if I can do this!” Liz said. Max looked at her confused. She was talking in riddles now.

“Umm Liz baby your talking in riddles your making no sense” Max said. Liz took a deep breath she knew she had to tell him.

“I’m pregnant” Liz said softly.

“What? How…we..were careful” max said frantically.

“We weren’t careful enough” Liz said.

“Oh god Liz. I…Don’t know what to say” Max said.

“Please don’t be mad. I want this baby. And I am willing to do what I have to do to raise it” Liz said softly.

“ God…This is unexpected. I love you so much I am willing to be there every step of the way” Max said hugging her tightly. He couldn’t believe it. He was going to be a daddy.

“So your not mad?” Liz asked.

“I could never be mad about something like this. I love you Lizzie. This baby is going to be a life changing experience for both of us” Max said touching her stomach. Liz smiled and hugged max.

“I love you Max Evans” Liz said as she hugged him. Max held her tightly and kissed her hair.

“So does this mean your not going to go see your dad?” Max asked touching her beautiful face.

“ I want to stay here for a while and just be with you and relax and not deal with dad or anyone else” Liz said.

“Good” Max said as he leaned in and softly kissed her lips. It was the lightest of kisses but it was enough to send shock waves through liz. She wanted more.

“Stay with me tonight max?” She asked him. He didn’t reply all he did was kiss her and that was a yes for Liz.

The several days later -

Tess watched max and Liz sitting there in the crashdown. They were both smiling from ear to ear.

“What the hell happened?” She said to herself. Maria seen tess watching max and Liz in the window.

“So…your little plan didn’t work” Maria said to her.

“Shutup” Tess said.

“ There happy, in love and going to be a mommy daddy in the next nine months or so” Maria said with a smile. Tess looked at her shocked and confused.

“What?” She asked.

“Yeah you didn’t hear? Liz is pregnant. Oh by the way close your mouth flies will get in” Maria said with a smile as she walked into the crashdown.

“Hey guys hows it going?” Maria said with a smile.

“Better then ever” Liz said as she smiled at max.

“ How’s the little one in there?” Liz said reaching over to touch liz’s tummy.

“Making me eat like a pig.” Liz said laughing. Maria laughed, she hadn’t seen Liz this happy in a long time.

“So what about your dad? Have you heard from him?” maria asked liz.

“I called him and told him the news he was a little shocked but happy. And I told him I could visit him he wasn’t happy about that but he said it was ok” Liz said.

Tess was furious, again Liz was getting everything she wanted, the guy, the perfect life and now a little family to start! ‘that bitch’ tess uttered under her breath. She turned and bumped right into kyle valenti.

“Kyle!” She yelled as he spilled his coffee all down the front of her.

“I’m soo sorry” Kyle said.

“This just isn’t my day!” tess yelled. Kyle glance into the window and noticed Max and Liz.

“So you heard the big news” Kyle said.

“Yeah liz is pregnant whoo hoo! Lets have party! Now they are one big go happy bunch!” tess yelled as she wiped herself off.

“Thank god that was cold coffee and not hot” Kyle said.

“ Why is it she gets everything! I hate her!” tess yelled as she plopped down on one of the chairs oustside the crashdown. Kyle sat across from her.

“ Are you jealous?” Kyle asked.

“ what the hell makes you think that!” tess yelled.

“ I don’t know just a hunch” Kyle said.

“ Keep your hunches to yourself” Tess said.

“ They are happy together why cant you just leave them alone. He’s never going to be with you. He is in love with Liz” Kyle said.

“ Well duh!” tess said.
Maria looked up and seen a familiar face walking towards them.

“oh my god! Sean!” She jumped up and hugged him tightly. ‘uhh oh’ Liz thought as she looked away.

“Lizzie?” Sean said.

“Sean, hey” Liz said with a smile.

“What are you doing here?” maria asked.

“Well…I decided to attend roswell community college for a while” Sean said smiling at Liz.

“What?!” Liz said choking on her drink. Maria looked at her funny. Then she realized there was some history between Liz and sean.

“ So you must be Ria’s cousin. I’m max” Max said shaking his hand.

“yeah max is my boyfriend” Liz said with a smile.

“Nice to…meet you” sean said.

“we have a lot to talk about” maria said as she pulled him away from the table.

“It was good seeing you Lizzie” sean said as maria pulled him out the door. Max didn’t like the way he was looking at Liz. There was something there and Max was going to find out what it was.


“Sean what the hell are you doing here? I know your not attending college here” maria said with her arms crossed in front of him wanting answers.

“Ria I’ve changed” sean said.

“Sure like hell you have. You and Liz have a history and if you think that you’re here to get Liz back, you got another thing coming cuz” Maria said. Maria wasn’t about to have what max and liz have ruined by tess or by sean.

“ I don’t want to do this?” Liz said as she pushed Sean away from here.

“Come on baby I love you with all my heart and soul” Sean said as he kissed her neck.

“Sean stop! Your drunk!” Liz said.

“so what! I want to get close to you. You don’t even look at me anymore” Sean said laying back on the seat in the car.

“ I’m not talking to you when your like this” Liz said getting out of the car.

“You just don’t want to face the truth!” Sean yelled as he ran after her.

“ your drunk!” Liz yelled. Sean grabbed her by the arm and pulled her. She hit the car hard. He pinned against the car.

“get off me!” Liz said pushing him.

“ What is your problem? Ever since…your parents got divorced you want nothing to do with me. I’m tired of waiting on you” sean said.

“If you don’t get off me I’ll scream” Liz said.

“Ok, why don’t we…get in the back and have a little fun. I want to be your first” Sean said kissing her. He smelled like boose. Liz pushed him away from her.

“ stop it! I told you I’m not ready! Besides I wouldn’t do anything with you while your drunk!” Liz yelled.

“ your just like every other girl” Sean said.

“ you need to sober up” Liz said.

“ What I need is you” He said pushing her against the car once again and this time he placed his hand underneath her skirt.

“Stop it!” Liz yelled as she tried to push her away.

“Shut up you know you want it” Sean said. He hit her hard in the face. He pushed her into the back seat.

“get off me!” Liz screamed as sean forced himself on her. He ripped her dress, off revealing her bra. Liz screamed and tried to fight, finally she used her all her strength and kicked him in the crotch. She quickly pushed the door open and ran.

Liz shivered as she went back to that night in her mind. Max sensed something was wrong he snuggled up closer to her.

“Are you ok? Baby” He asked.

“Yeah…..I’m fine” Liz said snuggle up next to him.

“I know something is wrong” Max said softly.

“Its nothing” Liz said she went into the little kitchen that her small apartment had. She had to get her mind off things and she was starving.

“Liz” Max said softly as he wrapped his arms around her.

“ max” Liz said as she made a pickle and Peanut butter sandwich.
“Umm…that’s disgusting” Max said pulling away from her.

“What? I’m pregnant here! And This taste really good” Liz said as she chowed down.

“ I bet” Max said as he went to the frige and grabbed a can of coke.

“Ohh you know what I really want. Watermelon that sounds good right now” Liz said.

“Watermelon? Ummm ok” Max said as he sipped his coke.

“Can you be a sweetheart and go get me some” Liz said with a pouty face.

“ Baby its after midnight” Max said pointing the obvious on the clock.

“So” Liz said.

“ There isn’t a store open around here to get watermelon” max said as he went into the small living room.

“Please baby its for the little one he or she really wants some watermelon” Liz said giving him that pouty lip again.

“baby I’ll go to the store in the morning” Max said.

“Fine! You don’t love me do you Maxwell evans!” Liz yelled as she stomped off.

“Baby I do love you But…” he was cut short by liz.

“Don’t talk to me until you come back with watermelon” Liz yelled.

“Fine” Max said as he got dressed and headed out the door.


“you’ve been here all night” Michael said.

“ I really don’t want to go home. I come home and My mom and has took in sean until he can find a place of his own. I cant believe he is back after what he did to liz. And I cant believe liz!” Maria yelled.

“Hold up details please” Michael said.

“He tried to rape her when they were dating. He hurt her badly. And then she had the take him back. And when she took him back he had the nerve treat her even more horribly. She had to deal with on top of her parents divorce. He started drinking more and more ..” Michael stopped her.

“That’s why she got upset when she found out Max was drunk at that party. Has she talked to max about this?” Michael asked.

“He’s clueless. I know he’s back to hurt her. Im worried to death about her and that baby.”

“Max will take care of her. Your good friend to worry that much” Michael said sitting next to her. Maria smiled. Michael never complimented her like that before.

“Why are you being so dam nice Guerin” Maria asked.

“What I cant be nice?” Michael asked.

“You? Nice to me? This is a first” Maria said.

“ I happen to be a nice guy” Michael said with a grin. Maria laughed.

“What! Your rude, disgusting geez! Look at this place! And you have never in a day in your life been nice to me! God we have known each other for how long?”

“Too long! And your not spending the night here” Michael said.

“Well it is like 1am so it looks like I already am” Maria said hitting him with a pillow. She felt better now that she had her mind off her worries.

“What the hell!” Michael yelled.

“Do you remember back in the eight grade?” Maria said smiling.

“Yeah when I kicked your butt in pillow fighting” Michael said hitting her smack in the face with his pillow.

“Hey!” Maria yelled.

“Got ya!” Michael said as he grabbed her wrestled to take her pillow. He pinned her down to the floor.

“Ha! Who won now!” Michael said.

“get off me!” maria yelled.

“Not until you tell me who won” Michael said. There was a moment of silence between them then out no where Michael leaned in and kissed her. There kiss was broke by the banging on the door. Maria had no clue what just happened.

“Umm..what just happened?” Maria asked.

“I think we just kissed” Michael said as he quickly went to the door. Michael opened the door and was surprise to see max.

“what the hell are you doing here?” Michael asked.

“I need a break from Liz she has me running around finding watermelon” Max looked through the door and seen maria.

“umm.. Did I interept something?” Max asked.

“No you didn’t maria was just.. Leaving” Michael said.

“ No im not” Maria said.

“ maria” Michael said sternly.

“I cant go home Michael” Maria said.

“umm I something is going on” Max said.

“No!” they both said at the same time.

“Umm…ok, I’ll go” max said as he quickly left.

He drove around for another hour and finally found a little mini mart open. He searched all through the place until he found a package of cut of watermelon. He paid for it and finally made it back. He unlocked the door and found liz sound asleep on the couch.

“Figures” Max said as he put the watermelon In the frige. He covered her up and kissed her head. She stirred slightly.

“What the hell just happened?” Maria asked.

“What are you talking about?” Michael asked trying to hint he wanted to forget.

“you kissed me!” Maria said.

“Its just happened ok, it felt like the right thing to do” Michael said.

“And why was that?” Maria asked.

“Because your cute! And funny and adorable and I….have been wanting to kiss you for a very long time!” Ok that caught maria off guard. She looked at him confused.

“What did you just say?” Maria asked.

“ you heard me” Michael said.

“ No I don’t think I did” maria said.

“maria! At time you can be so dam annoying!” Michael suddenly pulled her into his arms and kissed her passionately. Maria was caught off guard once again but this time she let him do it. Maria pulled away out of breath.

The next day -


Liz decided to go shopping for the baby. Her dad had sent her some money for the baby. Max was at the front desk of the store applying for a job. If Liz had her way should be working until she gave birth. But max wouldn’t allow it. She rounded the corner and ran right into sean.

“Lizzie” he said.

“Are you following me or something?” Liz asked.

“No can we talk” Sean asked.

“Why in the hell would I want to talk to you?” Liz asked as she rounded the next corner. Sean followed.

“Because I’ve changed and….I know I hurt you and I want to make things up to you” Sean said.

“You fucking tried to rape me! What makes you think I want to hear what you have to say!” Liz yelled everyone was looking at them.

“Go to hell!” Liz said as she walked away. Sean grabbed her by the arm.

“Please listen to me” He said.

“let go of me! If happen noticed Im pregnant! You bastard!” Liz yelled as she yanked her arm loose. He let go. Max came running up to liz he had been watching from a distance.

“What the hell are you doing?” he said getting up in seans face.

“Nothing dude just talking to your girlfriend” Sean said backing up.

“Max come on lets go” Liz said grabbing his hand.

“Keep your fucking hands off my girlfriend” He said as Liz tried to pull him away from sean.

“ Lizzie it looks like your boyfriend here has a little jealousy problem” Sean said. Out of no where max decked sean right in the face.

“if you speak to her or touch her again I’m sure I will give you more then a fat lip” max said.

Max slammed the apartment door with a bang. Liz jumped, she had never seen max this angry.

“What the hell happened?” Max asked.

“I don’t want to talk about it” Liz said.

“Lizzie he hurt you. Look at your arm!” he yelled.

“max stop yelling please! Your giving me a headache!” Liz yelled as she stormed into the kitchen.

“ Liz what the hell is going on between you and sean?” Max asked. Liz looked up at him confused.
“What? You think there is something going on between us?” Liz asked.

“there has to be. Are you cheating on me with him?” max asked. Liz looked at surprised that he would he even ask something like that.

“No!” Liz yelled.

“Then what is it Liz. Baby please tell me what is going on?” Max asked.

“Fine you wanna know! Sean tried to rape me a few years back!” Liz yelled as she ran into the bedroom and slammed the door. Max leaned on the door and listened to Liz cry.

“Baby open the door. I didn’t know” Max said through the door. He wasn’t going to leave this door until she opened it and let him in. he hated hearing her cry.

“Nice fat lip” tess harding said smiling at sean.

“Thanks courtesy of Liz’s boyfriend” Sean said.

“What? Max gave you that fat lip? What did you do?” Tess said curiously.

“I just wanted to talk to Liz and he popped me in the mouth” Sean said.

“ He will do anything for Liz. It make me sick” tess said.

“ Sounds like your jealous” Sean said.

“ I hate her with a passion” tess said.

“ Well..I’m beginning to hate max with a passion” Sean said. Tess smiled she liked sean there was something about him that just kind of turned her on.

“Well I guess were on the same page here” tess said with a smile.


Kyle looked over and seen Tess with sean. ‘when did he get back in town?’ kyle thought, ‘and why is talking to tess’ he thought. He turned and bumped right into maria and Michael.

“Hey” Kyle said.

“Hey valenti whats up?” Michael asked.

“That’s whats up” Kyle said pointing to tess and sean.

“What the hell?” Maria said.

“Umm that cant be good” Michael said.

“Those two together? Never!” maria walked over towards them she sat down right next to sean.

“Well…what are we… talking about?” She asked.

“Rude much?” tess asked.

“ha! Only for you!” Maria said. She looked over and saw The fat lip Sean had.

“Dude nice lip” Michael said.

“Thanks” Sean said.

“Its seems like max evans has little jealousy problem” tess said smiling.

“What? Max did this? What the hell did you do?” Maria asked.

“all I did was try to talk to liz she freaked and he punched me” Sean said.

“Wow….I wonder why?” maria asked.

“ I think max has an anger problem” sean said.

“yeah And I think your ass should be jail for attempted rape you bastard!” Maria said getting angry. Michael had to pull her away before she did something she regretted.

“Let go of me!” Maria yelled.

“Just get across the street and cool yourself down” Michael said.

“he is a bastard! I don’t even know why my mom is taking him in! And I don’t know why liz didn’t put his sorry ass in jail!” Maria yelled.

“calm down and talk to me” Michael said as they entered the apartment.

“NO! I cant even believe Im related to someone like him!” maria yelled.

“Maria chill! And talk to me tell what the hell is going on” Michael asked taking her by the hand and pulling her towards the catch.

“Spill” he said. Maria told Michael everything. He didn’t understand why Liz didn’t go to the police and do a report. And it also bothered him that Liz would take him back after he did what he did.

“Does max know about this?” Michael asked.

“I don’t know. But from the looks of Seans fat lip he might. I’m worried Michael” maria said as she hugged Michael tightly.

It had been at least 2 hours and Liz hadn’t come out of the bedroom. Max leaned against the door. He waited quietly hoping she would come out soon and everything would be ok. Finally the door opened and liz came out. It looked like she had showered and changed.

“ I’m sorry” he said as he took his pregnant girlfriend into his arms.

“ Its ok..I just needed to be alone” Liz said.

“I understand. Look I’m going to protect you and Our little one inside your tummy. I love both of you and I don’t want either of you to get hurt” Max said kissing the top of her head.

“I know” Liz said softly.


“So what just happened?” Kyle asked tess.

“Heck if I know” tess said as she got up to get another soda.

“ hanging with him is bad news” kyle said.

“ what it to you anyways?” tess asked.

“ Because your going to get hurt” Kyle said.

“what do you care? Stop acting like my big brother” tess said as she went back to sean. He knew they two together were trouble. He hated seeing tess with another guy especially sean.

Chapter 6


Liz looked around at the place and realized it was going to be way to small to raise a child. What were they going to do? Max didn’t have a job yet and was still in school, and there inst enough money coming to move. The door opened to the apartment and max came barreling with all these bags and packages.

“What is that?” Liz asked helping him.

“Baby stuff. My mom has gone baby crazy and bought us everything she could think of” Max said.

“How does she know what to buy? We don’t even know if it’s a boy or a girl” Liz said.

“She says its going to be a girl” Max said.

“really?” Liz said touching her stomach. She started feel like she was getting a little bigger.

“you know I don’t care if it’s a boy or a girl Im still going to love it” max said taking her in his arms.

“They didn’t have to do all this. I mean where are we going to put everything” Liz asked.

“In our new place” max said taking stuff out of the bags.

“We don’t have a new place” Liz said curiously.

“We do now” max said holding up a key.

“What?!” Liz yelled.

“My parents put some money down on a house for us. And they said they would help us out until we get on our feet” Max said with a big grin.

“Are you serious!” Liz yelled.

“yes. Did you think I would lie about something like this?” Max asked. Liz smiled and jumped into his arms. She was so happy she didn’t think anything could ruin this moment.

Maria Was lounging on Michael’s couch. She flipped through the channels on the tv. Michael came out of the kitchen and looked at her curiously.

“What are you doing?” He asked.

“Making myself at home” maria said.

“No your not” Michael said pushing her feet off the couch.

“I might as well because Im not going home” maria said.

“ move over” Michael said pushing her down. Maria lifted her feet up and Michael sat down. But then maria put her feet righton his lap.

“What are you doing?” He asked.

“Im comfortable” She said.

“ get your legs off me or else there will be a problem” Michael said.

“I’m sorry am I making you mad” Maria said as she sat up.

“yeah you are” Michael said moving her legs.

“I love making you mad” Maria said with a smile.

“You were born to torture me weren’t you” Michael said.

“I think I was. Besides your so cute when your mad” Maria said smiling.

“Oh yeah” Michael said as he leaned over and started ticking her stomach.

“Stop!” Maria yelled she was laughing so hard her stomach hurt.

“Michael stop!” She yelled. She was laughing so hard she rolled off the couch and Michael went with her. He landed on top of her.

“Now who’s on who” Michael said. She smelled so amazing. He could never get enough her no matter how annoying she was. The next thing maria knew she wrapped her arm around his neck and kissed him. It felt so right. It felt so good. Michael wanted her more then anything. Maria pulled away.

“What are we doing?” she said.

“You seriously don’t know?” Michael asked. Maria pushed him off her.
She couldn’t do this. They had been friends for years and she wasn’t about ruin everything.

“ This is crazy” Maria said.

“What is? The thought that we could actually like each other more then friends?” Michael asked.

“yes!” maria yelled.

“ I have a confession to make” Michael said.

“This isn’t the time for confessions” maria said.

“Well..I’ve had a crush on you since the eight grade” Michael said.

“What?” Maria said.

“ I was going to tell you but you were so in love with that billy kid you wouldn’t even give me the time of day” Michael said.

“ I hated billy back then” maria said. Michael looked at her confused.

“What? You wrote his name all over your binder and wouldn’t stop talking about him” Michael said.

“I only did that to make you jealous and then you started seeing that Courtney girl” Maria said.

“why didn’t you say anything?” Michael asked.

“because I was scared!” Maria said.

“So…what now? What are we now?” Michael asked.

Liz went through all the bags while max was in shower. She couldn’t believe that his parents were doing all this. There was a sudden knock on the door. Liz went to answer it and found sean on the other side. She started to slam the door in his face but he stuck his foot in the door.

“Can we please talk?” He asked.

“ Go away!” Liz yelled. Sean pushed the door and it flew open. Liz nearly fell on her butt.

“I’m going to call the police if you don’t leave” Liz said as fear settled in.

“Look I just want to talk about what happened between us” Sean said.

“Maybe I don’t want to talk about it! Leave!” Liz yelled.
“Liz? Everything ok?” Max said from the bathroom.

“yeah, everything is fine!” Liz yelled. “Please just go” She said to sean.

“Fine But I will be back. I know you don’t want to be with him. I know you want to be with me. We are meant to be Lizzie” Sean said as he left. Liz quickly shut the door and locked it. She was shaking really bad, And her stomach was starting to hurt. Ma came out of the bathroom and seen liz.

“Liz? Baby you ok?” He asked.

“Yeah I’m fine. Im starving” She said with a smile.

“You don’t look fine” Max said.

“I’m fine. Im..going to go fix something to eat” Liz said as she went into the kitchen. Max knew something was wrong.


“Look lets just keep it has friends” Michael said.

“Sure friends” Maria feeling weird and awkward.

“Well…Umm..Im going to go…see Liz and see what she is doing” Maria said as she quickly left. ‘what the hell’ she thought as she leaned against the door.

Liz scarfed down the sandwhich she had made. Max watched her disgusted by how she was eating. She had peanut butter and jelly on bread with mustard on it.

“baby is that good?” he asked.

“ so good” Liz said as she licked her fingers.

“I bet” Max said.

“Wanna try” Liz said handing him a bit.

“no thanks” Max said turning up his nose.

The door of the apartment slammed and Liz jumped. Max noticed she was very jumpy for some reason. Maria sat down next to max at the table. Liz seen that look on her face.

“Let me guess Michael?” Liz said.

“ yes. We kind of….kissed” Maria said. Max nearly choked.

“What!” Liz said pratically jumping out of her seat.

“ yeah he kissed me and I kissed him back. And he told me had a crush on me since 8th grade! And I told I had a crush on him to back then.” maria said.

“What!” Liz said still shocked.

“ Michael kissed you!” Max started to laugh.

“Yes! Oh my god whats soo funny!” maria yelled.

“Its about dam time!” Max said.

“When I asked him what were now he said lets just be friend. What the hell! You cant be just friends after the second kiss!” Maria yelled. Max nearly choked again!

“you kissed twice!” both max and liz said at the same time.

“what is with you two?” Maria asked.

“Well its about dam time!” Liz said.

“What?” maria said.

“you two have been crushing on each other for the longest time. And you were both two stubborn to realize it. I remember when you tried to make him jealous by using billy Anderson. And you couldn’t even stand billy and he tried so hard to kiss you and he so grossed you out by picking his nose” Liz said laughing.

“That was not funny” Maria said.

“ you dated billy Anderson? Wow” Max said laughing.

“What? We didn’t date I was….just using him” maria said.

“I wonder if it’s the same billy Anderson that’s in some of my classes” Max asked.

“Your kidding right?” maria said.

“ I don’t know” max said.

“eww! Thinking about that day makes me want to throw up” Maria said.

“you should of seen her face when she saw Courtney myers hanging all over Michael” Liz said laughing.

“Stop laughing” maria said.

“sorry I cant help it” Liz said licking her fingers.

“This is serious. Now everything is awkward with us!” Maria said pacing the kitchen. Liz grabbed max’s sandwhich which he wasn’t even done eating and started chowing down.

“ enjoy baby” Max said.

“Hey Im eating for two” Liz said.

“More like three” Maria said.

Michael laid on the couch and stared at the ceiling. He heard a slight knock and went to answer the door. A young girls happy smiling face jumped into Michaels arms.

“hey cuz!” She said happily.

“Serena” Michael said hugging her. ‘oh boy’ Michael said.

Serena got settled in. Michael wasn’t expecting this. He came into his room and threw a towel at her.

“ Let me guess fighting with your parents again?” Michael asked.

“ yes and they kicked me out and Now I need a place to stay” Serena said with a smile.

“Great” Michael said. Serena smiled and tipped toed to the bathroom to take a shower. Michael went back to the couch when maria walked in.

“Don’t you ever knock” Michael asked.

“Can we talk” Maria said. Serena then came out of the bathroom with nothing but a towel on.

“oops I didn’t know someone was here” She said. Maria looked back at her and then at Michael

“I didn’t mean to interupt” maria said as she backed up towards the door and walked out.

“Maria wait!” Michael said running after her.

“Umm…did I do something wrong?” Serena asked. Michael sneered at her as he headed after Maria.

Chapter 7

The next day -

Tess Slowly woke up, her head felt someone had taken a hammer to it. She sat up not realizing where she was or what had happened the night before. She looked around and realized she was in her room. But how did she get there? Last thing she remembered she was in a bar. She looked over and saw sean passed out on the bed with her. That was when she realized she was completely naked.

“oh my god” She whispered as she looked for her clothes. What did she do? Slowly sean stirred.

“What are you doing?” he asked.

“ what did we do last night?” tess asked finding all her clothes.

“We obviously had sex” Sean said with a smile.

“What? No we didn’t” Tess said as she quickly went into the bathroom. She couldn’t remember anything from the night before.

“We did. You were all over me” Sean said through the bathroom door.

“This was a big mistake. I…I Must have been really drunk” Tess said as she put on her shoes and tried to leave.

“You were no drunker then I was” Sean said pulling her into his arms.

“Let go of me” Tess said pushing him.

“Whats a matter? You wanted this last night” Sean said.

“I think I was drunk” tess said as she threw his clothes at him.

“ It was amazing last night” sean said.

“Get out” tess said. Sean pulled his clothes on and slowly walked to the door.

“ I think your way better then liz” he said as he walked out. Tess slammed the door behind him.

“God what did I do?” tess said realizing the big mistake she had made.




Maria seen Michael sitting there at one of her tables. Great she thought. She had been trying to ignore him all day.


“Can I help you?” she asked.

“yeah we need to talk” Michael said.

“I’m kind of busy you either order something or you can wait” Maria said.

“Look its not what you think” Michael said.

“Look I don’t have time for this” Maria said.

“Fine I will sit here until you make time” Michael said.

“I don’t believe it” Maria said.

“Believe it. Im not moving till we talk” Michael said. Maria was annoyed and quickly stomped off.



Liz raided the frige once again. She was scarfing down chocolate pudding cups like they were going out of style. She had to keep her mind on something else or she would go crazy. She had went out and came home and found a note on the door. Thinking it was from max she pulled it off the door and read it. Max came around the corner and liz quickly stuffed the note in a drawer.


“Whats going on?” he asked as he wiped the chocolate pudding off his girlfriends face.

“Nothing” Liz said as she wrapped her arms around his neck and started kissing him.


“did anyone tell you that you are so hot pregnant?” Max asked.

“ Not lately” She said pulling him towards the bedroom.

“I didn’t want you to get upset” Liz said sitting up in the bed.

“This bastard needs to leave you alone. And why does this note sound like you and him are doing something behind my back” max said with anger in his voice.

“ I’m not max! Why would you think that! Why after this amazing moment we just had!” Liz yelled.

“ I had a wonderful time with you the other day. I cant wait to kiss you again!” Max yelled as he read the note outloud.

“I sware to you max I didn’t kiss him! He came over here the other day while you were in the shower” Liz said knowing he would be even more upset.

“What? And you didn’t tell me!” Max yelled.

“I’m sorry” Liz said softly.

“You lied to me” Max said.

“Im sorry” Liz said again as she stepped out of bed and went and sat on max’s lap. She started kissing him.

“ This isn’t going to make me feel any better” Max said as he pushed her off him.

“Max Look. I’ll go down to the sheriff’s station tomorrow and get a restraining order and I will get him out of my life for good I promise. I don’t want you mad at me” Liz said.

“ I wont be happy until I know this bastard is out of lives for good” Max said as he quickly left the apartment.

Chapter 8

It had been hours since max had left the apartment. She knew he was a little upset. She heard the door open to the apartment.

“Max” She said softly. She noticed his face.

“What the hell happened?” She asked touching his face.

“I took care of that bastard” Max said wincing as Liz touched his face.

“What do you mean you took care of him. What did you do?” Liz asked. A few minutes later there was a knock on the door. Liz opened the door and There was a deputy sheriff there.

“Max evans” he said with an authority in his voice.

Liz quickly dialed Maria’s number. She wasn’t answering.
“Where the hell are you?” Liz said a she hung the phone up. She quickly found Michael’s number. Michael felt his phone vibrating. He noticed it was max’s number.

“Dude I am busy” Michael said.

“Its liz. Max has been arrested” Liz said.

“Ok I’m on my way” Michael said. He quickly got up and caught maria coming out of the back of the crashdown.

“We have to go max was arrested” He told her.

“What?” She quickly convinced Rosa to cover the rest of her shift and headed to the sheriff station with Michael.

Luckly with what Michael had and what Liz had they had enough money to bail him out. Liz was visibly upset. Maria and Michael walked to the car as they let max and Liz talk.

“What did you do max?” Liz asked.

“I went to sean. I confronted him about the note. He said he didn’t put it there. I called him a liar. We wrestled and amy delcua called the police end of story” max said.

“ Beating him up isn’t going to solve things max. I put a restraining order on him just now” Liz said.

“Good” Max said.

“ This is my battle max. I don’t want you beating up people and using violence to solve problems” Liz said.

“Why the hell are you defending him all of a sudden? The bastard nearly pushed when we were in the store and hurt you. He nearly raped you a while back and he is sending you notes and practically stalking you and your going to sit here and tell me to stay out of it its your battle! You’re my girlfriend god dam it! And your carrying my twins and Im going to do what it takes to protect you!” max yelled.

“Even if it means you get hurt in the process!” Liz yelled.

“I don’t care! As long as your safe! Im not going to sit on sidelines and watch you get hurt!” Max yelled.

“Please max” Liz said.


Michael and Maria watched them arguing.

“This how it is” Maria said.

“What do you mean?” Michael asked.

“She will always defend that bastard. She did even after he tried to rape her and he beat on her when he was drunk” Maria said.

“You don’t think she still has a thing for him do you?” Michael asked.

“I don’t know” maria said.

“Liz do you still feel something for him?” Max asked. Liz looked at him surprised he would even say something like that.

“Say it liz! Just say it!” Max yelled. Liz felt anger coursing through suddenly she slapped max across the face.

“Now who is being the bastard! How dare you! You I love you with all my heart and soul! If you think I would give all this up for someone who hurt me like sean did your dead wrong! And if you believe that you don’t deserve me!” Liz yelled as she walked off. Max followed her down the street.

“Lizzie baby please wait!” he yelled.

“No! I don’t want to speak to you or anyone else right now” Liz said. Max took her arm and stopped her.

“Please! Im sorry” He said taking her into his arms and holding her. Pushed him away.

“I need some time alone right now” Liz said as she walked off.

Liz stayed with Michael and maria. She laid on the couch practically crying for hours.

“Lizzie does max Know you’re here?” Maria asked.

“No And I don’t care right now” Liz said.

Max sat in the dark apartment alone. He heard a soft knock on the door. He went to answer and found Tess on the other side.

“What the hell are you doing here?” Max asked.

“I came to see Liz” tess said.

“She….isn’t here” Max said.

“ Can I come in it looks like you could use some company” tess said.

“Why not” Max said.

Chapter 9

“Lizzie you need to talk to him” Maria said.

“I know” Liz said sitting up.

“max have you been drinking?” Tess said.

“Whats it to you” He said.

“did something happen?” Tess asked.

“What do you care anyways. You and sean have it out to ruin my life with liz” Max said.

“ I know…I did a bad thing. I should of listend to kyle” Tess said.

“ Are you apologizing?” max asked.

“Yes…That’s Why I wanted to talk to Liz. Liz obviously isn’t here”

“We got into a fight and she took off I have no idea where she is” Max said.

“Did she beat you up?” tess said refering to his face.

“No that was compliments of your buddy sean” Max said.

“He isn’t my buddy” Tess said.

“really?” Max said.

Just then Liz walked in. She seen max and Tess together in her home.

“What ever it is I really don’t care so could you please leave I need to talk to max” Liz said.

“ Look this will only take a second. Im…sorry” Tess said. Liz looked at her and laughed.

“What? Ok rewind for a moment. Did my so called sister who hates just apologize? Well here is what I have to say to that get out” Liz said as she opened the door and motioned tess to leave. Tess Left and Liz slammed the door behind her.

“ I don’t even care why she is here. We need to…talk wait have you been drinking?” Liz asked.

“ I don’t know have I?” Max asked plopping down on the couch.

“you know what sit out here and sober up.” Liz said as she went into the bedroom and slammed the door.


The next day -

Max had a headache it was like someone had a hammer and was hitting him repeatedly over the head. And it didn’t help that Liz was blarring the radio.

“baby! Turn it down!” max yelled.

“what!” Liz yelled. Max went into the other room and turned the radio completely off.

“ have a headache?” Liz asked.

“ Yes” Max said laying down on the bed.

“ You were so drunk I couldn’t even talk to you” Liz said.

“ Are we still fighting?” Max asked laying across the bed.

“ Look max we have to talk about what happened” Liz said sitting next to him on the bed.

“I figured that” Max said sitting up.

“ For one thing drinking isn’t going to make things go away. I couldn’t believe what you said to me.”

“ Im sorry. I…shouldn’t of said those things. But Im still going to protect you and The little ones inside of you” Max said touching her stomach he thought he felt a little movement in there.

“Lets never fight like that again please” She said kissing him softly.

“Now if that’s a makeup kiss I wonder what the makeup sex would be like?” Max asked with a smile.

“Your headache must not be too bad if your thinking about sex” Liz said as she kissed him again.

“Are you trying to seduce me liz parker” Max asked.

“I believe so” She said.


Tess heard a knock she opened the door and found Sean on the other side of it. She quickly shut it but he stuck his foot in the door.

“Hey” he said.

“Don’t you have to go bother someone else” tess said.

“ I came to bother you” Sean said.

“ Go away” Tess said.

“Why I need some company” sean said.

“Go get it from liz because you want her so bad” tess said.

“ so you apologized to her” Sean said. Tess looked at him curiously.

“I have my ways” He said.

“Go away or I am calling the police” tess said.

“ our night together was great. It would have been better if you were liz.”

“Go to hell!” Tess said trying to shut the door on him. He pushed the door open.

“Lets have a repeat of our night” sean said. He pushed Tess onto the floor.

“get off me!” tess yelled. Sean ripped her shirt exposing her naked front.

“Nice” he said practically drooling.

“Please” tess said begging.

“I like girls who beg” tess felt like she had no strength to fight back. He held her down and was going to have his way with her.

“Stop!” tess yelled. She started to fight but he hit her hard across the face.
