Title: Days in the life of Liz Parker

Summary: Instead of going to Florida for the summer, Liz went and visited her older brother, Logan, in Seattle. There she was shown a life nothing like her own. She learned about Max and the other Transgenics and had become close friends with them. The Pulse happened in 1989.

Setting: Roswell:Skin and Bones.

Chapter 1
Liz Parker sat in the airplane that had just arrived in Santa Fe. Her parents were sure to be waiting for her with questions about Logan. Her dad had with him but Liz knew that both her parents loved him even through Logan and her mom weren't related through blood.
"You may now exit the plane." The flight attendant in the front said.
Finally, Liz thought to herself. She was some what happy that she was coming home but then again she didn't want to deal with all the bullshit that had her running to Logan in the first place. Don't do this to yourself! Liz thought again as she walked into the termal. There not but five feet away was her two best friends, Maria Deluca and Alex Whitman.
"Oh my god." Maria yelled as Liz walked over to them. "You look amazing. When did you cut your hair?" Maria screeched as she pulled Liz into a hug.
"At the beginning of the summer. It rained alot when I went to Florida." Liz lied and she hated how easy it was to her now. "So where are my parents?" Liz asked while hugging Alex.
"They were jammed packed with work so they asked us to come and pick you up." Maria answered.
"Oh okay."
"So let's go."

Liz walked into her room and threw her suitcases onto her bed. Nothing was like the way she left it 3 months ago. Maria and Alex had filled her in on how the pod squad cut off all ties to them but that they still came into the cafe to eat. Liz sighed as she opened her suitcase. God if only Logan was here with her. Then he would know what to do. If only...

Logan sat in his apartment staring at where Zack had jumped through. What had gotten him so mad that he cam to attack Logan. He shook his head. Manticore. They'd go to any lengths to have him killed. First Max, then Alec and now Zack. Good thing their plans can be avoided. Then Logan thought of Liz.
She'd want to know how everyone is when she called. Maybe he should keep her in the dark about this?
"He's gone." Logan turned in his wheel chair and saw Max standing near the elevator.
"Did he see you?" Max nodded her head but never walked away from her spot. "Did he recongize you?"
"No." Max stared at the ground.
"Max-."
"Don't Logan. I just...I need to go." Max walked out just as the phone started to ring.
"Hello?"
"Logan, I need to ask you a favor."
"Anything Liz."[/i]

Chapter 2
Liz stood in the airport waiting for Logan with Alex. The whole week had been nothing but complete chaios and it had all started after she hung up with Logan.
"So who were you talking to?" Liz turned to see Maria and Alex standing in her doorway.
"What are you guys doing here? I thought you 2 went back to what you guys were doing?"
"We were but then we remembered that we wanted to talk some more with you." Alex said.
"Yeah. You didn't even tell us how your summer was." Maria walked over to Liz's bed and dropped. "So who were you talking to?"
"Um," Liz had to think fast but did she want to lie about Logan? No. "I was talking to Logan."
"Who's Logan? Is he some guy you met in Florida?" Maria asked already digging for dirt.
"No. Logan's Liz's brother." Alex corrected. "But he lives in Seattle. What are you calling him for if he's up there?"
"There's something I have to tell you guys."
"You have a brother!" Maria yelled, jumping up from her spot on the bed. "Why didn't you tell me about him?"
"She did, Maria. You even met him when he lived here 10, 15 years back."
"He did?"
"Yeah Maria but back to Alex's question. I didn't go to Florida for the summer."
"Where did you go?"
"Seattle."
At first Maria was okay with it all and for the first time Liz was about to really tell her two best friends the truth. Of course she didn't tell them about the Transgentics but she did tell them about her working in the club 'Crash' and about Maxie, Orignal Cindy, Sketchy and even Normal who she had clashed with on her first day in Seattle. But when Liz had asked Maria to cover for her, she flipped.
So here Liz was, with only Alex as her best friend. He had been totally cool about everything and told her everything Maria left out. He told her about how Michael and Tess were spending more and more time with each other while all Max did was whine about Liz to Maria. Then Alex had told her about Isabel cutting him off and not even looking at him which pissed Liz off to the point where she almost cursed Isabel out.
"Is that him?" Alex asked, pulling Liz out of her thoughts.
"Logan?" Logan was walking towards her and Liz couldn't help but run to him. "Oh god." She said when she felt his arms around her.
"Hey Lizzie-bear. You waited long?" Logan asked looking down at his little sister.
"No. Alex and I just got here not but 2 minutes ago." Liz lied giggling.
"I see."
"Liz!" Liz looked behind Logan and saw Max.
"Max!" Liz went to hug Max when she saw a blond standing behind Max. "Is that Zack?"
Max looked behind her and scoffed.
"No. That's Alec. He's a pain in the ass who just had to come."
"Hey, all you and wheels did was talk about this 'Liz' girl so I just had ta see what all the hype was." Liz gave him a 'whatever' look.
"Yeah well, now you know." Liz turned back to Max. "Come on. I want you to meet my best friend." Liz pulled Max over to Alex and did all the intro's. When the greetings were done, Liz lead them to her car and got in. "You guys ready?"
"Roswell here we come." Logan said his seat in the passanger seat.

Chapter 3
Liz drove into the empty space right in front of the Crashdown and turned to the car off. She and Alex were the first out and then the others. Liz walked over to Logan when she saw the lost look in his eyes.
"He misses you, y'know."
"Yeah but it's been almost forever and I just...I just can't believe I let you talk me into this."
"Trust me. Daddy has changed and he loves you alot."
"So is this where we're gonna stay?" Alec asked from behind the siblings. "Because if we are, then can I please get a hotel."
"Bye then." Liz and Max said at the same time. Then they both burst out laughing.
"You see, Logan. Get minds think alike." Max joked as she pulled her small suitcase out of the truck. Alex was right behind her with Logan's things.
"I can see that."
"So how long are you guys staying?" Alex asked as he turned to Max.
"Not that long for me and Alec. We gotta go back to work in like 2 or 3 weeks."
"What? Why did you come if you had to work?" Liz asked as Max, Alex and Alec all walked to her.
"Like I said. I wanted to meet the famous Liz Parker." Alec joked.
"Are you always like this?" Liz asked.
"Yeah but you'll love me for it later."
"I doubt it." Logan said as he pulled Liz over to him. "Show me the way."
Liz smiled at Logan and then led the way into the cafe. She didn't notice anyone but her dad. He was in the back grilling so she made it her job to have the other follow her to him.
"Daddy. Look who's here?" Jeff Parker turned around and at the sight of his son, disappeared through the back and reappeared through the front.
"Logan, is that you?"
"Yep, dad. It's me. In all my glory." Then Jeff pulled his only son into his arms.
"I thought that Liz said that you were paralized?"
"He is, daddy but he's got this friend that made him machine legs."
"Wow."
"Logan!" Just then, Nancy Parker ran out from the back and pulled Logan into her arms. "God I missed you." She pulled back. "Wow, look at you. So big and handsome. The girls must be going crazy over you up there in Seattle?"
Alec let out a chuckle making both Max and Liz turn to him.
"Thanks, Nance, but there is only one girl that I want and here she is." Logan turned to Max and pulled her over to him. "Nancy, dad. This is Mx Guerve. She's my girlfriend."
"Wow. Logan. She's so pretty." Nancy said making Max blush. Both Liz and Alec looked shocked. "It's so nice to meet the girl who has my boy so smitten."
"Your boy?" Max questioned.
"Well, not my boy but I still think of Logan as my son." Nancy said smiling at Max.
"And she as my mom."
"Come, come." Nancy said pulling Max with her to the back. "I shall show you all to your rooms."
"She didn't even ask for my name." Alec said.
"Consider yourself lucky because right now, she's going to ask Max 21 questions." Then Liz turned to Alec. "Hey, maybe I should tell mom and dad that you're my guy from Seattle so that they'll ask you 21 questions?"
Alec gave Liz a shocked look making Liz giggle as they walked behind the rest of the group.

Chapter 4
The pod squad had been eating lunch when Liz and Alex walked in with the 3 mystery people. Max watched in shock as he saw Liz smile her beautiful smile at the tall brunette that was holding her hand. Did she meet him in Florida? Were they a couple and she brought him home to brag about?
"Daddy. Look who's here?" Max watched as Jeff Parker turned and then disappeared coming to the front.
"Logan, is that you?"
"Yep, dad. It's me. In all my glory." Max and the others looked shock when they heard the guy call Jeff 'dad'. Wasn't Liz an only child?
"Maria!" Maria was standing near the door just as shock when Max called for her.
"Yeah?"
"Did you know about this?"
"About what?"
"That!" Isabel said pointing to Liz and the others. But what she really wanted to know was who was that girl with Alex?
"Logan! Wow, look at you. So big and handsome. The girls must be going crazy over you up there in Seattle?"
"Thanks Nance, but there is only one girl that I want and here she is" Isabel watched as 'Logan' pulled the beautiful brunette away from Alex. "Nancy, dad. This is Max Guerve. She's my girlfriend."
Isabel let out a breath that she didn't even know that she had held.
"You okay there, Isabel?" Michael asked.
"What?" Isabel said turning to him.
"Are you okay?"
"Yeah I am. I just thought...." Michael nodded his head knowing what she meant.
Maria watched in envy as Michael pulled Isabel into a half hug and kissed her head.
"Well, I gotta go. See ya."
After Maria left, the pod sqad watched the interaction between father and son. It seemed a little weird that Liz now has an older brother who lives across the country.
"Come, come. I shall show you all to your rooms."
That caught Max's attention. They were staying here. He had to talk to Liz about that. Just as Max stood up, he saw Liz giggle and then walk with the blond. What the hell was that?

Nancy had given Logan and Max the guess room while Liz offered to let Alec stay in her room with her. When both her father and Logan went to protest, Liz gave them a 'yeah-like-anything's-gonna-happen' look and walked away. When they were all done unpacking, Alex told Liz that he had to go but that he'd see her tonight.
"Bye, Alex." Liz said as she closed the door behind him.
"So..." Liz jumped at the unknown voice.
"What the hell man?" Liz said to Alec.
"Jumpy much?"
"You scared the hell out of me. I thought that you left with Max and Logan."
"Actually, your mom and Max went out while your dad and Logan are in Logan's room trying to 're-connect'. So that leaves me with you." Liz rose her right eye-brow.
"I don't think so."
"Come on. I know you know about 'us' so tell me about you." Alec said moving closer to Liz.
"How about," Liz took a step back. "We just go to a movie?"
"Does matter to me." As long as I'm with you, Alec thought to himself.
"Let me just get my purse." Liz brushed pass Alec sending shivers down both of their spines. "Sorry."
Alec watched the small brunette walk into her room and couldn't help but want to follow her in, but then Max's warning from the plane got to him.
"Touch Liz and say goodbye to your manhood!"
Alec shuddered. Max always threatens him but for some reason he believed her. Well that and the fact that she repeated it twice since they got into New Mexico. Once in the airport when he had first seen Liz and the second time when they got out of the car and Max caught him staring at Liz's round ass.
"You ready?" Liz's voice came out of no where making Alec jump. "Jumpy much?"
"Don't mock."
"Or what? You'll tell my daddy?"
"Ha ha ha. Very funny. Movie?"
"Come on, you sour puss." Liz said as she led the way down to the Crashdown. "Hurry up."
"I'm trying to keep low profile, you know."
"How by acting old?" Liz said both stopping and turning to Alec. "No one even knows about 'you guys' down here so...Come on."
Liz grabbed Alec's hand and pulled him out the 'Staff Only' door and through the cafe. Just as they were about to walk out, someone called Liz's name making both Liz and Alec to tense up.
"Liz!"

Days in the life of Liz Parker.... 7/18/07
Chapter 5
Alec had felt Liz tense up making him do the same. What was it about her that got him on his toes? He'd just met her but for some reason all he wanted to do was protect her. Alec and Liz slowly turned around to see Max and Maria standing together.
"Max, Maria. What are you guys doing here?" Liz asked nervously. Alec knew that something wasn't right and he had every intention to figure what had Liz so high strung.
"Hey, I'm Alec." Alec stretched out his hand only to have it looked at by the guy.
"Max." The guy said.
"Maria." The blond pixie giggled.
"Okay, so now that you've guys met, Alec and I are on our way out. Come on." Liz turned to walk away only to have Alec stop her.
"Now Liz, what kind of person would I be if I didn't WANT to meet your friends?" Liz turned to Alec. Play along. He told her with his eyes and Liz felt a small laugh in her stomach.
"Why would you want to meet us?" Maria asked a little lost.
"Um, because Alec is...my...new...Boyfriend. Yeah. I met him when I was on vacation and we sort of just hit it off." Liz said as she turned to Alec. "Right, honey?"
"Uh, yeah, right." Alec said as he hid a chuckle with his hand. Slowly, Alec wrapped his right arm around Liz's shoulders and pulled her over to him.
"So you met over the summer?" Max asked.
"Yeah. I was visiting my big bro, Logan and Logan sort of set us up." Alec bit his lower lip not to burst out laughing. Yeah right. If Logan could only see them now, he would kill Liz and feed Alec to Max.
"Uh, I never knew you had an older brother, Liz." Max said. "I always thought that you were an only child. How come you never told me that you had an older brother?"
"Well, because you never asked, Max but I guess now you know."
"I just thought that since we use to tell everything to each other that you would have said, I don't know, SOMETHING about having a sibling." Liz was tensing up with every word Max said and Alec didn't like it one bit.
"LIZ, why don't you and I get to that movie." Alec looked at Max. "I would hate to miss it because of catch up time."
"Sure." Liz looked at Maria avoiding Max. "Sorry guys."
Then Alec turned them around and walked out of the Crashdown. It took them a couple of blocks to actually relax but Liz didn't break free from Alec's warmth. When they were actually on the line at the theater, that was when Alec thought it was time to break the ice.
"So that Max guy was... An ex?" Liz wiped a tear before turning to Alec.
"Yea but I kind of thought that he was.......the one, you know?" Alec nodded after a while. Thank god he wasn't, Liz thought to herself.
"So what to watch?" He looked up at the board. "How about 'Naked Impossible'?"
"Sure, why no-? Wait a minute." Liz's head snapped up. "There is no 'Naked Impossible'. That says 'Mission Impossible'." Liz said as she playfully hit Alec on his arm.
"Hey! How am I suppose to see that? It's so high up to read. Now that is impossible."
"No, you're impossible." Liz said laughing.
"Ow. That hurt here." Alec said as he put his hand over his heart.
"I bet it did."

Max and Maria watched as Liz and Alec left the Crashdown both equally shocked but Maria in more of a happy shock instead of a Max crazy shock.
"I guess she's doing good." Maria said as she walked back to their table where Michael, Isabel and Tess were sitting.
"Who is?" Tess asked.
"Liz."
"That was her. Wow. She's changed." Isabel said as she ate a fry. "Who was that hot guy she was with?"
"Alec." Maria said looking at Michael even through she was talking to Isabel.
"Who's Alec?" Michael asked, not really looking at Maria.
"Her new boyfriend." Max said as he dropped his head into his arms.
"I guess she really HAS changed." Tess said with a smile on her face.
Alec had felt Liz tense up making him do the same. What was it about her that got him on his toes? He'd just met her but for some reason all he wanted to do was protect her. Alec and Liz slowly turned around to see Max and Maria standing together.
"Max, Maria. What are you guys doing here?" Liz asked nervously. Alec knew that something wasn't right and he had every intention to figure what had Liz so high strung.
"Hey, I'm Alec." Alec stretched out his hand only to have it looked at by the guy.
"Max." The guy said.
"Maria." The blond pixie giggled.
"Okay, so now that you've guys met, Alec and I are on our way out. Come on." Liz turned to walk away only to have Alec stop her.
"Now Liz, what kind of person would I be if I didn't WANT to meet your friends?" Liz turned to Alec. Play along. He told her with his eyes and Liz felt a small laugh in her stomach.
"Why would you want to meet us?" Maria asked a little lost.
"Um, because Alec is...my...new...Boyfriend. Yeah. I met him when I was on vacation and we sort of just hit it off." Liz said as she turned to Alec. "Right, honey?"
"Uh, yeah, right." Alec said as he hid a chuckle with his hand. Slowly, Alec wrapped his right arm around Liz's shoulders and pulled her over to him.
"So you met over the summer?" Max asked.
"Yeah. I was visiting my big bro, Logan and Logan sort of set us up." Alec bit his lower lip not to burst out laughing. Yeah right. If Logan could only see them now, he would kill Liz and feed Alec to Max.
"Uh, I never knew you had an older brother, Liz." Max said. "I always thought that you were an only child. How come you never told me that you had an older brother?"
"Well, because you never asked, Max but I guess now you know."
"I just thought that since we use to tell everything to each other that you would have said, I don't know, SOMETHING about having a sibling." Liz was tensing up with every word Max said and Alec didn't like it one bit.
"LIZ, why don't you and I get to that movie." Alec looked at Max. "I would hate to miss it because of catch up time."
"Sure." Liz looked at Maria avoiding Max. "Sorry guys."
Then Alec turned them around and walked out of the Crashdown. It took them a couple of blocks to actually relax but Liz didn't break free from Alec's warmth. When they were actually on the line at the theater, that was when Alec thought it was time to break the ice.
"So that Max guy was... An ex?" Liz wiped a tear before turning to Alec.
"Yea but I kind of thought that he was.......the one, you know?" Alec nodded after a while. Thank god he wasn't, Liz thought to herself.

Chapter 6
"So, how was the movie, yesterday?" Liz jumped and turned around to see Tess standing behind her. She had just started her shift and this was what she got?
"It was okay, I guess." Liz walked around the counter in the cafe as Tess sat down on one of the stools. "You ready to order?"
Tess smiled but nodded her head. "Sure, why not?"
Liz took Tess' order down only half listening. Yesterday had been nothing like she had expected it to be. Alec had been nothing but unbelieve. He was sweet, kind and was a good listener. For some reason, Liz knew that he had been through the same thing she was going through. But other than that, perfect.
Alec had picked out a scary movie so of course Liz jumped and grabbed onto him, making him laugh. Then when they walked home, Liz wanted ice cream so they went to the parlor. Alec had no clue which ice cream was his favorite so he let Liz pick one out for him. She even remembered the stupid fight they got into as they walked home.
"Vanillia? That's what you picked out."
"Yeah. Why?"
"Oh, no reason. It's just that vanilla is just so....blah."
"Blah?"
"Yeah."
"How is it 'blah'?"
"It just is." Alec licked the side of his ice cream making Liz's heart race.
"So what? Vanilla is my favorite."
"Oh, oh, oh." Alec said laughing. "Now that is sad."
"What?!"
"That's it. For the 2 weeks I'm here, I'm going to change you for the better. Starting with your ice cream flavors." Liz gave him a 'what-ever' look but then thought about it.
It couldn't be that bad.
And it hadn't. After finishing their ice creams, Alec 'bought' a tub of cookies 'n' cream ice cream and they were to eat it tonight while they learned more about each other.
"Liz?" Liz jumped to her name and turned to see Alec standing in the kitchen with an apron on.
"What are you doing back there?" Liz questioned as she walked over to him.
"Your dad needed help and I need the money."
"So this is...."
"Me working." Alec motioned with his hand for Liz to get back to work. "So why don't you start working, so that I can do the same?" Alec smirked at Liz.
"Haha. Here." She slammed Tess' order on the table. "Your first order."
Then she turned on her heel to see Maxie and Logan talking to each other near the window. Feeling much better, Liz walked over to them just as Max and the others walked in.
"Hey Liz." Maxie smiled while Liz walked faster to them.
"Hey. You two ready to order?"
"Yeah." Logan said looking at his menu. "Is there anything that doesn't sound nasty on here?"
Liz giggled. "Not really but what do you want?"
"Burgers and fries." They both said in union. Again Liz giggled.
"Plain burgers."
"Yep."
"No problem. What about some drinks?" Liz said as she wrote down their orders.
"Coke." Logan said.
"Sprite, I guess." Maxie said.
"Coming right up." Liz turned again and walked back to Alec just as he was done with Tess' order. "Done?"
"Yep and it was a piece of cake."
"Good, because here's another order and this time it's two people." Alec smirked.
"Done." He said as Liz turned to give Tess her food. There was just something about Alec that had Liz on her toes.
"Here you go." Liz said as she first place down Tess' food and then her drink. "Hey, why don't you go sit with the group? I'm sure you'll like it more than just sitting alone."
"No, I'm good. Plus Max and I actually got into an arguement yesterday."
"Oh, I'm sorry." Liz was about to walk away when curiousity hit her. "What did you argue about, if you don't mind me asking?"
"You."
"Me?"
"Yeah. I said that it was a good thing that you were changing but Max didn't think so. At first all he did was ignore me but when I asked him what was wrong, he blew up one me."
"God, what did he say?" Tess picked at an invisible piece of lint from her jacket. "Okay, how about you come over tonight so that we can hang out?" Liz said feeling bad.
"That'll be great!" Tess almost yelled. "I mean if you want me too." Tess said looking back at her food.
"Yeah. I insist. I had something planned with Alec but maybe we could go to the mall and just..."
"Do normal things?"
"Yeah. Plus it would be cool to be friends now that Max is no longer between us." That was when Tess' face lit up.
"Yeah, you're right."
"Okay. I gotta get back to work but just come by at 6. That's when my second shift ends?"
"No problem." Liz pushed off of the counter and walked over to the pod squad's table.
"What's up guys? Ya ready to order?"

Alec watched Liz talk to the blond and then he watched her walk over to a table near the back. When she was done, Liz was quick to give Max and Logan their drinks and then go over to an old couple near the front. She smiled at them and Alec could just feel it from all the way in the back. Her smile was that beautiful and he couldn't help but turn to puddy whenever he was next to her.
"Order up!" He yelled. Liz smiled at the group before walking over to him and gave him a sly look.
"Thank you." Alec waited for the snappy comment he was already use to but all he got was a hesistant Liz.
"Hey, what's wrong?"
"Nothing really." Liz started chewing on her bottom lip.
"Liz?" Alec questioned as he reached out to stop her from ruining such a sexy lip. "What is it?"
"Um, you know how we had a 'date' for tonight?"
"Yeah, sure." Date, if only he was so lucky.
"Well, my friend needs me, so is it possible to just do it tomorrow night?"
Alec was taken back but didn't show it. He had really wanted to spend some more time with Liz. That was why when her dad asked Logan to help him in the kitchen, Alec took it instead.
"Um, sure." Liz smiled at him making his heart melt.
"Thanks." Liz blew him a quick kiss, dropped off the orders she picked up and grabbed Max and Logan's food.
"That girl is going to be the death of me." Alec told himself as he went back to work.

Finally, Liz thought as she walked into the back of the cafe. Her shift was finally over and she no longer had to see Max's face. He had been nothing but a pain in the ass the whole day. He had came in for breakfast and stood through out lunch.
Poor Tess, Liz thought as she started getting undressed. Liz had to save her more than twice because whenever Max went over to Tess, Liz saw Tess shift away from him. So of course, Liz was there and she had made Max leave for the very short time of how ever long Liz had stayed with Tess.
"So you going out tonight?" Liz jumped to see Alex standing behind her.
"Hey buddy. I'm sorry that I wasn't here yesterday but the movie ran longer than I thought it would and then Alec and I ended up walking home."
"Alec?"
"Yeah." Alex smiled. "What?"
"You like him?"
"What?" Liz tried to cover up her shock as she pulled her shirt over her head. "No."
"Then who are you going out with?"
"Tess."
"Wait." Now it was Alex's turn to be shocked. "Why?"
"Because she totally defended me when Max barked at her."
"Barked? Wow, Seattle really did change you."
"Hahaha. You wanna come?"
"So that I can be the third wheel? No thank you."
"Then take Alec. He has nothing to do tonight. Hey Alec!" Alec turned to Liz and smiled.
"What is it, sugar?" Alex chuckled.
"Funny. You wanna hang with me, Tess and Alex tonight?"
"Sure, why not? My shift is over anywayz." Alec walked out of the kitchen just as Michael walked into the back room. "All you man. Be back soon."
Liz and Alex both started laughing while Michael gruffed about new help but went to work anyways. Then Tess walked in.
"You ready Liz?"
"Yeah, um Tess. Can Alex and Alec come with us?"
"Sure. The more the better." Just then, Alec came running down with his shirt half off. "Nice."
"Yes indeed." Both girls burst out laughing leaving Alex alone.
"What are they laughing about?" Alex asked Alec.
"Girl things." Alec said even though he knew what they were talking about. "Let's go."

Chapter 7
(In the Mall)
"God, I love shopping." Tess gushed. "It's just so normal and you can't get much normal than this, huh?"
Liz giggled at Tess' behavior. She'd never seen her like this but if she had then Liz and Tess would have been the best of friends.
"Yep. So what do you want to do next?" Liz asked.
"How about you let the guys eat?" Alec said from behind the girls.
Liz and Tess had taken to being in the lead when the foursome walked into the mall. As they shopped, Alec and Alex waited with them in the stores. At first it was just to be nice but when the girls started getting lots of attention, that was when Alex and Alec made it their mission to 'pretend' to be the girls boyfriends. That got them both laughed at then used as shopping bag carriers.
"How about you two go eat while Liz and I go to the make up store?"
Alex and Alec shared a similar look and then nodded at the girls at the same time.
"You go do your 'girl' things while Alec and I eat."
"No problem."
The girls turned and walked away leaving the guys with their bags. When Liz was sure she and Tess were out of Alec's hearing range she turned to Tess.
"Why the make-up store?"
"Because if we told them that we wanted to go look at lingerie do you think that they'd leave? No way. Alec is totally into you and Alex don't wanna be alone."
"No way Tess." Liz said as they walked into the lingerie store. "I think Alex has a thing for you."
"Really?" Tess asked a bit shocked.
"Totally. If he didn't then he wouldn't have pretended to be your boyfriend. Think about it. Alex is mad cool and is a total cutie. If he wasn't my best friend, I would totally go for him." Liz said as she looked at this lacey black babydoll with a cute bow in the front and lacey black boyshort panties. "Nice."
"That would look hot on you." Tess said as she quickly changed the subject.
She did like Alex alot but she knew that he was in love with Isabel. Isabel. God, sometimes Tess just wanted to punch her. One minute she loves Alex and then the next, Isabel is with some guy. God what Tess would do if she had the chance to tell Alex the truth.
"Now that is hot." Liz said pulling out the very sexy and very lacey blue Merrywidow that Tess was unconciously looking at. "Now if you wore this with a short white shirt to school, Alex will never look at anyone other than you." That got Tess' attention.
"Do you think so?" Then Tess changed her tone. "Because I wouldn't want to come on too strong."
Liz giggled and then turned and grabbed the lacey black babydoll. "If you get that then I'll get this and wear it the same day you wear yours? Deal?"
Tess looked at the blue top and then at Liz. Did Liz really trust Tess enough to ask her something like that? The look in her eyes told Tess that she did, so Tess did what she had to. She smiled and grabbed the top.
"Deal but I want you to do something else. Okay?"
"Not a problem." Liz said smiling. "Wait. What is it?"

The guys sat and ate while the girls did whatever it was that they were doing. Alec was actually having a good time and couldn't believe it because normally he would have gone insane. But the way he saw Liz laugh with Tess, god that was nice.
"So...Are you into Liz?" Alex asked out of the blue. They had been talking about computers or something but that question was diffinitly not what they had been talking about.
"Woah....Who told you that?" Alex smiled.
"No one."
"Then why would you ask me that?"
"Because I'm not an idiot. I've seen the way you smile at her and watch her when you think no one is watching you. At first, I thought that it was nothing until Max told me that she'd never seen you so calm before or do manure labor." Alex chuckled. "I guess that gave you off."
"Damn." Alec said, trying to keep everything light. "I thought I was cooler than that."
"I guess not." Alex joked. "So are you going to do something about it?"
"Huph." Alec said as he glanced around the food court in order to get out of this very conversation.
"Alec?" The angelic voice came from behind him but he knew it was Liz, no doubtly.
"Yeah."
"We're done. Let's go home."
"Sure." Alec looked at Alex and Tess and saw something he should have picked up before. They liked each other. He could see it by the way they were acting with each other. "Um..." Alec looked at Liz and then turned back to Alex. "Why don't you take Tess home? Liz and I can walk."
"What? Why?" Liz almost screeched. Alec turned to her but she didn't see what he was trying to say. "What?"
"Excuse us for a minute." Alec smiled at the couple and then pulled Liz over to the side.
"Alec, I don't wanna walk home. That's a long walk and who's gonna carry all the bags?" Liz whined playfully. She nibbled on her bottom lip and Alec was almost sucked into her trap. Almost.
"No Liz. Look, Alex and Tess like each other so it's just a matter of time-."
"Before they get together. I totally agree."
"Then stop being a pain in my ass and just do what I say." Alec turned and walked away while Liz stuck her tongue out at his back. "So Liz and I'll walk. Go Alex. Take good care of Tess."
Alex gave Alec an unknown look but then saw what Alec was doing. He knew about Alex's little crush. Damn. Touche.
"Okay. We'll see you guys tomorrow." Alex put his hand on Tess' lower back and lead her to the Exit.
"Remember Tess!!!" Liz screamed making Tess laugh out loud.
"Tomorrow Liz." Tess said as Alex lead her out. "But call me just in case."
"Not a problem." Then Liz and Alec followed after them.
Liz couldn't happen but giggle as she watched Tess get into Alex's car alone with Alex.
"So you get me now?" Alec asked.
"Somewhat but I still don't get why your so slow?"
Before Alec could say anything, Liz pushed up on to the tips of her toes and pressed a soft kiss to Alec's lips. After a second, she broke away and then walked away hiding her blushing red cheeks.
(In the Mall)

Liz and Tess had taken to being in the lead when the foursome walked into the mall. As they shopped, Alec and Alex waited with them in the stores. At first it was just to be nice but when the girls started getting lots of attention, that was when Alex and Alec made it their mission to 'pretend' to be the girls boyfriends. That got them both laughed at then used as shopping bag carriers.
"How about you two go eat while Liz and I go to the make up store?"
Alex and Alec shared a similar look and then nodded at the girls at the same time.
"You go do your 'girl' things while Alec and I eat."
"No problem."
The girls turned and walked away leaving the guys with their bags. When Liz was sure she and Tess were out of Alec's hearing range she turned to Tess.
"Why the make-up store?"
"Because if we told them that we wanted to go look at lingerie do you think that they'd leave? No way. Alec is totally into you and Alex don't wanna be alone."
"No way Tess." Liz said as they walked into the lingerie store. "I think Alex has a thing for you."
"Really?" Tess asked a bit shocked.
"Totally. If he didn't then he wouldn't have pretended to be your boyfriend. Think about it. Alex is mad cool and is a total cutie. If he wasn't my best friend, I would totally go for him." Liz said as she looked at this lacey black babydoll with a cute bow in the front and lacey black boyshort panties. "Nice."
"That would look hot on you." Tess said as she quickly changed the subject.
She did like Alex alot but she knew that he was in love with Isabel. Isabel. God, sometimes Tess just wanted to punch her. One minute she loves Alex and then the next, Isabel is with some guy. God what Tess would do if she had the chance to tell Alex the truth.
"Now that is hot." Liz said pulling out the very sexy and very lacey blue Merrywidow that Tess was unconciously looking at. "Now if you wore this with a short white shirt to school, Alex will never look at anyone other than you." That got Tess' attention.
"Do you think so?" Then Tess changed her tone. "Because I wouldn't want to come on too strong."
Liz giggled and then turned and grabbed the lacey black babydoll. "If you get that then I'll get this and wear it the same day you wear yours? Deal?"
Tess looked at the blue top and then at Liz. Did Liz really trust Tess enough to ask her something like that? The look in her eyes told Tess that she did, so Tess did what she had to. She smiled and grabbed the top.
"Deal but I want you to do something else. Okay?"
"Not a problem." Liz said smiling. "Wait. What is it?"

The guys sat and ate while the girls did whatever it was that they were doing. Alec was actually having a good time and couldn't believe it because normally he would have gone insane. But the way he saw Liz laugh with Tess, god that was nice.
"So...Are you into Liz?" Alex asked out of the blue. They had been talking about computers or something but that question was diffinitly not what they had been talking about.
"Woah....Who told you that?" Alex smiled.
"No one."
"Then why would you ask me that?"
"Because I'm not an idiot. I've seen the way you smile at her and watch her when you think no one is watching you. At first, I thought that it was nothing until Max told me that she'd never seen you so calm before or do manure labor." Alex chuckled. "I guess that gave you off."
"Damn." Alec said, trying to keep everything light. "I thought I was cooler than that."
"I guess not." Alex joked. "So are you going to do something about it?"
"Huph." Alec said as he glanced around the food court in order to get out of this very conversation.
"Alec?" The angelic voice came from behind him but he knew it was Liz, no doubtly.
"Yeah."
"We're done. Let's go home."
"Sure." Alec looked at Alex and Tess and saw something he should have picked up before. They liked each other. He could see it by the way they were acting with each other. "Um..." Alec looked at Liz and then turned back to Alex. "Why don't you take Tess home? Liz and I can walk."
"What? Why?" Liz almost screeched. Alec turned to her but she didn't see what he was trying to say. "What?"
"Excuse us for a minute." Alec smiled at the couple and then pulled Liz over to the side.
"Alec, I don't wanna walk home. That's a long walk and who's gonna carry all the bags?" Liz whined playfully. She nibbled on her bottom lip and Alec was almost sucked into her trap. Almost.
"No Liz. Look, Alex and Tess like each other so it's just a matter of time-."
"Before they get together. I totally agree."
"Then stop being a pain in my ass and just do what I say." Alec turned and walked away while Liz stuck her tongue out at his back. "So Liz and I'll walk. Go Alex. Take good care of Tess."
Alex gave Alec an unknown look but then saw what Alec was doing. He knew about Alex's little crush. Damn. Touche.
"Okay. We'll see you guys tomorrow." Alex put his hand on Tess' lower back and lead her to the Exit.
"Remember Tess!!!" Liz screamed making Tess laugh out loud.
"Tomorrow Liz." Tess said as Alex lead her out. "But call me just in case."
"Not a problem." Then Liz and Alec followed after them.
Liz couldn't happen but giggle as she watched Tess get into Alex's car alone with Alex.
"So you get me now?" Alec asked.
"Somewhat but I still don't get why your so slow?"
Before Alec could say anything, Liz pushed up on to the tips of her toes and pressed a soft kiss to Alec's lips. After a second, she broke away and then walked away hiding her blushing red cheeks.

Chapter 8
The next day, Liz woke up bright and early and ready for school. She practically jumped out of her bed and ran to her bathroom. There she brushed her teeth and did her hair in an up sexy and exotic style that Orginal Cindy had taught her in Seattle. By the time Tess had called her, Liz was already dressed and ready.
"So are we going to wear them?" Tess asked in a sultry voice. "Because I already have mine on."
"Well then...So do I." Liz heard Tess laugh into the phone.
"Great, so I'll see you in the parking lot at school."
"Not a problem." Liz hung up the phone, grabbed her things and walked out of the house before anyone could even get up.

(At school)
Tess had shown up early and waited for Liz. She couldn't believe that she and Liz Parker were friends but she was glad they were. Fighting with Liz was something she never wanted to do. Actually, liking Alex wasn't apart of what she wanted either but she just did. For the first time in her entire life, she was actually just doing things for herself.
"Tess!"
Tess jumped to her name. She had been so lost in her thoughts that she forgot to hide from Max and the others.
"Hey guys." Tess pulled her jacket close even through it was like a hundred degrees outside.
"Hey. What are you doing over here?" Isabel asked her.
"I'm actually waiting on someone."
"Oh." Max questioned.
"Who is it?" Isabel asked excitingly. Just then Alex walked over to them.
"Hey guys."
"Hey Alex." Everyone said.
"Wow." Alex exclaimed. "You. Look. Amazing." Isabel smiled. "Tess."
Isabel's face dropped while Michael tried not to laugh. Even Tess and Max were shocked.
"Wait."
"Hey guys." Maria jogged over to the group but didn't notice the high tensions. "You all ready for the first day of school?" No one answered her. "Me neither." Just then, Liz walked over to them.
"Hey guys." She smiled at everyone before actually turning to Tess. "You ready?"
"I've been ready." Tess joked as both she and Liz took off their jackets, showing their new 'outifts'.
Tess was wearing her blue Merrywidow with black short shorts and blue strappy sandles that tied at her ackle. Her hair was in short bouncy curls and her make up was hit to perfection and Liz was the same.
Liz wore her lacey black babydoll with a white mini skirt and black boots that almost touched her knees.
"See you guys later." Liz and Tess said in union as they walked off.
"What the hell just happened?" Maria snapped.
"She looks amazing." Alex said as he walked off after them.
"What-? Alex?" Isabel looked from Max to Michael to Maria and then back again. "Did that just happen?"
"When did Liz and Tess become so buddy-buddy?" Max asked.
"When did Liz get a figure?" Michael joked. Maria slapped Michael in the back of his head. "Ow."
"Something is diffinitly not right." Max said as he stood in front of the group. "And we have to find out what."

The whole day, all anyone did was stare at Liz and Tess. No one said anything to them or anything like that all they did was stare. But then lunchtime came along and almost everyguy gave both Liz and Tess their numbers.
"I have to say, this is nice." Liz said as she and Tess walked out of the school with 4 different guys holding their books.
"Yeah but Alex hasn't even-." Suddenly Alex was standing next to Tess.
"Hey Tess. You want a ride home?" Alex asked. Tess turned to Liz and smiled, then turned back to Alex.
"I would love that." She took her books from her 2 'guys' and then followed Alex side-by-side to his car.
Liz just smiled at her new friend. Then she grabbed her books from her 2 'guys' and walked into the parking lot only to find Alec standing in front of his motorcycle. She knew that he had seen her because his mouth dropped opened. As she neared him, she closed his mouth.
"Keeping that open will only cause problems." She joked but what Alec did was so much better. He pulled her into his arms and kissed her like she'd never been kissed before.
Across the lot, Max and Michael had just walked out of the school just in time to see the kiss.

Chapter 9
"So, do you think Liz is doing this to get on your nerves?" Michael asked Max as he walked to him.
"I don't know what to think. I mean I love her but I don't think she knows that. I mean you and Isabel seem to be getting along more better now because of the 'destiny' thing but I can't love Tess."
"I don't think that'll be a problem since I think she likes Alex. And there is nothing going on with me and Isabel. Yeah we've been close but it's just because we're still a little confused."
"What do you mean?" Max asked as he closed his locker.
"I mean, I love Isabel but just like a sister. Nothing more."
"Then why don't you just get back together with Maria?"
"Because I don't want her to get hurt. What you and Tess are doing is what Isabel and I are trying not to do."
"What are we doing?" Max asked as they started walking towards the parking lot.
"You both are keeping your selves attached to the humans when it's obvious that we only need each other." Michael said. "And now that Tess seems to be taking Maria's place, she's just keeping Liz and Alex in this."
"But Michael, Maria is still in 'this', as you say, no matter what. She loves you and she still thinks that you guys still have a chance."
"Well then," Michael said as he glanced around at all the lust stuck guys. "I guess I'm just gonna have to cut her off." Michael smirked but then it hit him. "Why are we talking about Maria and how do you know all those things?"
Max looked down at his shoes as he and Michael walked out of the school. When he looked up, he saw his worst nightmare coming true. Right in front of the school was Liz kissing that 'Alec' guy and Tess and Alex making out near Alex's car.
"Holy shit!" Max heard from behind him. When he turned, he saw both Isabel and Maria standing in shock.
"Why are they doing that?" Isabel asked pointing to Alex and Tess.
"The same reason Liz and Alec are doing it." Maria answered.
"But when did Alex start liking Tess?"
"Probably around the same time you and Michael cut us out of your lives." Maria turned on her heel and sped walked to her car.
"I got her." Max said not wanting to deal with everything else.

"What a way to say hi." Liz joked when she finally pulled away for air.
"You're telling me." Alec said with Liz still in his arms. "You ready to go home?"
"I guess but what should we tell everyone else?"
"About what?"
"About us?"
"Nothing." Liz pulled herself out of Alec's arms.
"What do you mean, nothing?"
"Nothing. We shouldn't tell them unless we know that we are going to be together."
"You're afraid."
"No I'm not."
"Yeah you are. That's why you don't want to tell them. What are you afraid of my dad? Logan? No..." Liz covered her eyes with her hand. "I get it, you're afraid of Max?"
"No I'm not. Who told you that?" Alec said standing right.
"So what is it?"
"I just don't want to tell anyone yet."
"Then don't. I mean there's nothing to tell since there is no you and me." Liz turned on her heel and started walking to the bus stop.
"Liz!" Alec yelled. "Come on Liz."
Just then Logan drove up to Liz. "Hey lil sis. You need a ride home?"
"Yeah." Liz said looking back at Alec. Then she got into the car.
"What the hell are you wearing?"
"Not now Logan. I had a really bad last period."
"Fine but cover up so dad won't say anything."
Liz nodded her head just to make Logan drive. Today was starting to suck.

"Today totally sucks!" Maria yelled as she and Max drove through town. "I mean first, Michael and Isabel act like me and Alex are their worlds and then they drop us like nothing. Now that Alex is moving on, Isabel is getting jealous? I mean really, did they think that we would just pine over them forever?"
"Aren't you doing that? Pinning I mean. I mean you do call Michael 20 times a day, everyday."
"What's your point?" Maria asked turning to look at Max for just a second.
"My point is that YOU aren't moving on. Alex is."
"And Liz. Don't forget about Liz. She moved on too."
"Yeah her too." Max said a little sad. The car fell silent as Maria turned the corner onto main street.
"God, let's do something." Maria suddenly said after a while.
"Like what?" Max asked.
"I don't know. Let's go out to a party or something?"
"Sure."
"Great because I heard that David King from the football team is having a 'Welcome back to school' party."
"Then let's go."

"So are we going to go to Dav's party?" Tess asked Liz. Both she and Liz were sitting on Liz's balcony, eating ice cream and just talking.
"Sure. I mean I have nothing else to do and you and Alex could get down and dirrty on the dance floor." Liz joked.
"Maybe...." Tess said thoughtfully. "Oh my god. Did I tell you that Alex and I kissed today?" That caught Liz's attention.
"You what?"
"We kissed."
"How and where? And don't leave out any details."
"Okay it was by his car and I don't know how. I mean one minute we just talking and then the next, bam!"
"So who kissed who first?"
"He kissed me."
"Oh my god, Tess. This is great. Was it good?"
"Amazing and I can't wait to see him so we can kiss again."
"I'm so happy for you."
"Me too but what about you? Did you and Alec kiss?"
"Yeah we did" Liz said sadly. "But he doesn't want me."
"What? Why?"
"I have no clue. I mean I asked him what we should tell everyone since you know, I thought we were together."
"What did he say?" Tess asked as she sat right on the blanket that she and Liz were sharing.
"He said that we should tell them nothing."
"Nothing?"
"Nothing."
"But why? It's totally obvious that he likes you, so why is he acting like that?"
"I have no clue."
"Did you ask him why?"
"Yeah and he wouldn't tell me."
"God Liz. I'm so sorry." Tess said as she reached out for Liz's hand.
"Me too but I won't let him ruin my junior year."
"You shouldn't."
"So let's go to Dav's party." Liz's said as she wiped her watery eyes.
As both she and Tess went back into the room to change, outside on the roof, sat Maxie. She had heard everything and she was going to fix Alec.

In the near by bar, Alec sat with his 7th shot. God how stupid was he to say that to Liz. He knew he just messed up but it was for the better. He didn't deserve someone like Liz. And it was because of what he was. Alec downed another shot.
It was the same with Rachel. He had loved her and she had died because of who he was. He wouldn't do the same with Liz. She was both too young and too amazing to die. Plus Liz has more than Rachel ever had. Liz has lots of friends and a huge family while all Rachel had was a couple of friends and her dad. No. He wouldn't let himself all in love with Liz. She had too much to lose. As he downed another shot, the door to the bar opened showing off another person with nothing better to do on a Thursday night.
"You drink enough?" Alec turned only to be face to face with Max.

Chapter 10
"You drink enough?" Max asked as she walked over to Alec. Alec let out a 'yeah right' grunt, then took another shot.
"What are you doing here?" He asked.
"Looking for you."
"Why? I didn't do anything."
"Then why are you here?" Alec turned his head to the bartender and ordered another drink. "You only drink shots when something is bothering you."
"You're bothering me."
"And whatever happened between you and Liz has nothing to do with it?" Alec's head snapped to Max. "Yeah I know."
Alec visibly swallowed.
"She tell you?"
"No. I over heard her telling that Tess girl."
"Great. Another person to get mad at me." Alec drank his shot and then ordered another one.
"Well, not really."
"What?"
"The girls are going out to some party."
"They are?"
"Yep. Liz said that she wouldn't let you ruin her Junior year and Tess agreed. Guess you're out." Max covered her face as if not to show Alec that she was lying.
"You know where this party is?"
"Yep." Alec took the last shot.
"Let's go then."

Liz and Tess walked into Dav's house with looks of determination on their faces. Both of them were ready to have a little fun. The Foo Fighters new song was playing on the stereo and Liz was so in the mood to just dance. Soon both she and Tess were dancing in the middle of the living room with guys they didn't even know.
"Thirsty!" Tess yelled. Liz shook her head and kept on dancing while Tess walked away.
Back and forth Liz's hips went and without realizing it, she got everyone's attention. In the kitchen, Tess was grabbing water bottles when she noticed Alex walk in. Alex was quick to notice Tess and practically ran to her. As they met, Isabel, Max, Maria and Michael all walked in.
"Great." Alex said looking at the others. Tess turned to them and sucked her teeth.
"Damn it."
"What?"
"Liz doesn't want to see any of them. She just wants to-."
"Dance with Alec. I get it." Alex gave Tess a soft kiss and then led her to Liz before Tess could tell him the truth. "Liz!"
"Alex!" Liz gave him a quick hug and then turned to Tess. "Now I'm thirsty." She said with a laugh. "I'ma get water."
Liz was gone and in her place was Isabel and Max.
"Hey guys." Max watched Liz as she went to the kitchen. "I'ma go." Then he was gone.
"So." Isabel said as she watched Tess and Alex shift uncomfortably. "You two are what, now?"
"A couple." Tess said and Alex smiled. Then he pulled her close and kissed the top of her head.
"Great!" Isabel said. "Well, I'll just leave you two alone."
"Oh no." Tess said. Isabel stopped.
"What is it?" But Tess' eyes were on the door and her mouth was wide open.
"Alec is here."
"Who?" Isabel asked.
"Alec, Liz's new guy." Alex answered.
"No. They got into this fight and now she isn't talking to him."
"So he's here to fix everything. How is that bad?" Alex asked.
"Max just went after Liz and so is Alec."
"That can't be good." Alex said already moving towards the kitchen.

"Liz!" Liz turned to see Max walking to her. Great! She thought to herself. Just what I need. "How are you?"
"Hey Max. I'm good. You?"
"The same but I really need to tell you something." Oh no! Liz paniced. He's gonna tell me that he loves me. I gotta get out of here.
"Um, that's great but I was just waiting for...."
"Liz!"
"Alec?" Liz turned to see Alec walking towards them. "Alec."
"What is he doing here?" Max asked.
"I was...waiting...for him." Liz said. Then she turned back to Max. "That's right. I was waiting for him." Before Alec could get to them, Alex and Tess got to her first. "Guys, we have a little problem."
"We know. Let's go." Tess said as she grabbed Liz's hand.
