"Good night, sweet dreams Iz." is the last thing I hear as I drift off in to dreamland,letting out a tired sigh as I get comfortable next to Alex

I must be so tired that I am having weird crazy dreams.Me being back in school in a math tutorial...how I hated that subject! Sometime later my eyes flutter open when I start feeling a little chilly so I pull the cover half way up our bodies and lie back down,with my back to Alex's chest,but gently so as not to wake him I lift his arm and drape it over my waist and place my hand over his,moving back in to him before falling asleep again.

You have GOT to be KIDDING ME!!! I roll over to the other side of the bed and sit up, very annoyed. Why WHY does this keep friggin happening! Maybe I should just you know...go...

"Right..." I mutter, as I look at some of the pictures she has around the room. "Nice room," I mutter.

I frown and resist the urge to scream in frustration as he totally pulls away and looks around my room. It's not like I planned for my father to call at that moment! I mean who the hell calls at...glancing at my clock...4:30 in the morning? Only my father who has no idea what time it is anywhere but where he is and he's doing good to keep up with that.

I bite my lip and move closer into Max's side. "I'm sorry. I didn't think my father would call, especially at this time of the night. It's just kind of hard to...to continue with what we were doing when my father is talking to me at the same time." I give him a playful shove and grin down at him as I place a kiss on his bare chest. "You know what I mean? If it was your mom on that answering machine instead of my father, would you be able to keep going?" I yawn as I see him struggle between frustration and understanding.

I sigh knowing that she is actually right... but then again my mother doesn't call me. "Hmm...I guess..." I pout at her and say, "So does that mean you want me to leave you....or are you going to persuade me to stay?" I ask giving a cute pout.

Since I'm sleeping in an unfamilar bed, with someone else besides me - both aspects I'm not used to, I'm not having a very fitful sleep. I briefly remember that I was dreaming but not what as I wake up.

The first thing I notice is the warm body in my arms. The warm female body. For a moment, I'm confused before I remember last night's well, tonight's events. Smiling slightly, I lean down, kissing Isabel's neck before leaning back against the pillow with a sigh.

I'm sleepy but I know myself, the chances of falling asleep soon are pretty slim, so instead of trying to fall asleep again, I watch and listen to Isabel sleep. Once again I wonder why a woman like her is dating a geek like me. I grin when I think that she'd probably slap me and roll her eyes at me if she knew of my thoughts.

I guess I watched her a bit too intensly or was lying too closely pressed against her because that stupid, no good for anything, traitorous body is certainly reacting to our closeness.

With an annoyed groan, I carefully roll away from Isabel, missing the contact immediately but I have other things to worry about right now. If I stayed close to her, I'd certainly have to take a shower in the morning so I can ... eh, relax and that would be weird in Isabel's place.

Maybe I should just get up and walk around a bit or look out the window till I have ... cooled down. With another glance at Isabel, I carefully pull the covers away, making sure Isabel's still tucked in and try to get out without the bed moving too much.

LOL! I know, in the words of Bugs Bunny, "Ain't I a stinka?"

I smile down at his pout, letting my hair brush his bare chest and tickle him. "Actually, I was hoping you would stay and let me..." I yawn before continuing, "Make it up to you. We could sleep as late as you want and have a great brunch later. And later, after the carnival, we could go back to your place and pick up where we left off earlier." I place a quick kiss on his lips. Then I frown and my forehead wrinkles as I remember. "You were planning on coming to the carnival tonight right? I mean it is for the kids and it's supposed to be a lot of fun."

I give a small smile. "Well... I didn't plan on it... but I could...of course I would have to pull a sicky...but I could...maybe...I'll think about it...." I say with a wink.

I grin as I swat him with a pillow playfully. "Well, don't do me any favors, doc," I tease. Then I manoever myself against him and wrap his arm over me, pulling the covers over us. I let one hand draw circles on his chest as I feel my eyes getting heavy. "Max?" I say quietly.

"Hmm?" he answers.

"I had fun tonight...with you, even though we didn't...well, you know," I admit to him. "You're a pretty cool cat." I smile up into his face from where my head is laying on his chest.

We climb out of the car and head for the door. I hold it open for her as we go inside. Giving her a teasing wink, I say, "The best of both worlds hey? Well, I certainly hope you'll give me the first autographed copy when it's published." A waitress shows us to a booth and we sit down opposite each other. I pick up the menu and try to decide what I want. Everything sounds good.

I nod as I finally settle on one of the big combination breakfast platters. It comes with two eggs, sausage, toast, pancakes, grits, coffee and juice. "Yeah, I'm ready to order. How about you?"

I study her for a moment. I'm starting to unwind and to feel tired but being here with Tess, like this, it feels good.
