I take the cordless mike when everyone is lined up and I see a space between Max and...some guy that I've never seen in my life. I smile at him and then give an even bigger one to Max before I wink at Max and say into the microphone. "Ok, so this is the adult version of musical chairs. We all circle the chairs until the music stops. If you land in anyone's lap you have to kiss them. If you are the one without a chair when the music stops, you get to choose anyone you want still in line to kiss them. We'll play this until we get down to five people, taking away at least 2 chairs probably more every time, until there's only one chair and two people. When we get to that point, those two people have to kiss and they get a card of tickets for tomorrow's charity carnival which, may I remind everyone is for orphaned kids, so I encourage everyone to come out and have fun and donate to this worthy cause. Ok, everybody ready? Start the music, Claire!"
I turn the mike off and start moving with the line as the music plays. I lean closer to Max and clear my throat. "I'm sorry about calling you a friend back there, Max. I just don't really know what to call you and I was put on the spot. I'm actually really attracted to you," I tell him. I've decided to be as honest as I can in this situation.

Well the game seems kinda fun... but she hasn't come over yet...
But then she starts heading this way and I can't help but grin.

I raise an eyebrow and smile at her. The music starts and we start walking around the chairs. "Really? You mean that you don't think of me as a friend... AND attractive?" I say with a cheeky wink.

Slowly, we all start moving around the chairs, people chatting excitedly and the music loud enough that its absence will immediately be noticed. Concentrating mostly on Isabel's shoulder (and yes, I admit it, also the guy in front of her who I hope will not get to kiss her) I'm caught by surprise when someone bumps into me lightly.
Turning around questiongly, I notice that the woman behind me must have slipped slightly. "Sorry." she giggles and I immediately smell the alcohol in her breath. Nodding once at her, I turn around again. Oh please, dont let me kiss the alcoholic!
A few seconds later - people are getting more and more cautious about when the music stops and are eyeing the chairs - Miss Alcohol loses her balance again, now really crashing into me. With lightning quick reflexes (okay okay, fast reflexes) I manage to not crash into Isabel (and therefor don't start a domino effect).
Unfortunately, I must have twisted my ankle sligthly when I took a step aside so I won't fall onto Isabel. "Aww fuck." I curse semi loud, hoping slightly out of the line of people and test my ankle. "Sorry." Drunky McDrunk giggles again before torkeling on in the circle.
Guess I have to sit out this round and ... I so hope Liz won't make me kiss a guy. With tongue.

I look up in surprise when I notice Isabel besides me. Not that i'm surprised that she cares, just that she heard me over the music.
I shrug slightly, slightly worried that it is nothing and was just a momentary thing. and I'M just being an oversensitive wuss. "Not sure. The woman behind me," I nod to the one I mean who is still unable on her feet, "the one who drank too much and wears ... I don't know 7 inch heels tripped, fell onto me, I tried to not trip on you and side stepped and kinda put my foot down wrong since my ankle hurts. Or well ... maybe it is all good now and I'm blowing this out of proportion."

I say and tuck my arm under his and help him to his feet and place one of his arms around my shoulders "Let's get you a comfortable seat in the next room,unless you want me to go get you an ice pack for that ankle?"

Damn and here I was hoping that I'd get out of the games. I am probably just missing the harmless ones instead. Go figure!
