Isabel

"Any update on the Max/Liz front? I didn't get to ask Max when he visisted my place along with the others earlier this week." he asks out of the blue and I am a little surprised by the abrupt change in subject

"Well I haven't really had the chance to talk to Liz alone this past week and as you know Max and I do not talk.So I don't know what's going on with them though Liz does know that I set them up on purpose.She called me on it earlier but she doesn't seem pissed off or anything.May be she likes him."

I shrug carelessly because I don't really care for the subject,"Who knows...I might have done them a favour by coming up with that bet.My mum always says-where you're fated,they you're mated."

I chuckle at Isabel's, well her mother's words. They ring true. From the tone of Isabel's voice, I guess that she doesn't want to talk about Max.

"Sounds like you aren't the only smart woman in your family." I say with a smile as I look up at her.

I smile,"She'd like you Alex.May be we..." I think better of it and stop "Shall we go back inside?" I ask since it's obvious he staying away from the 'us' subject.He's probably shy or uncomfortable.

Is it possible to smile and frown at the same time? Cause I'm sure I'm doing that right now. Smiling because Isabel thinks that her mother would like me and frowning because she didn't finish her sentence.

"Shall we go back inside?

I am a bit surprised at that but then smile sheepishly. "Actually, I must admit that I like the quiet out here but if you wanna go inside."

I quickly jump up so we can head inside since Isabel wants to. Well ... I *try* to jump up, but somehow, I slip and almost crash down on top of Isabel, barely managing to brace my weight on my arms.

"Actually, I must admit that I like the quiet out here but if you wanna go inside." and I smile 'coz I like staying out heer with him too but before I can say that he jumps up or rather awkwardly tries to jump up and the next instant I have the wind knocked out of me,"Oooffff!"

"Aww shit, I'm sorry Iz." I exclaim after I have my balance back, managing to push myself away from Isabel slightly, so I'm sitting in front of her, one step below her.

When she doesn't open her eyes, I'm really starting to worry. Putting my hand on her right cheek, I lean closer, worried she might unconcious.

"Iz? Are you okay?"

I got pushed back on to the ground with the unexpected weight of Alex's body and I close my eyes for a moment,"Aww shit, I'm sorry Iz." I hear him and I take a in a deep breath

"Iz? Are you okay?" and I open my eyes to find him leaning over me and I smile a little,"Yeah,I think I'm fine,just got the wind knocked out of sails.I'll be fine." I reassure him

My hand takes on a life of its own and reaches up and places itself on the nape of his neck,feeling a little nervous I smile at him shyly and apply a little pressure to his neck hoping he gets my drift.

I shiver slightly when I feel Isabel's hand on my neck, pulling me slightly closer to her. Not even I am so dumb to misunderstand that!

Leaning closer, eyes locked on hers, I put my lips on hers softly - waiting a moment before I add more pressure.

I smile just before our lips touch and my other arm slides around his waist.Somewhere in the back of my mind it does strike me that I'm not in the most comfortable of positions but who cares.The sweetest most adorable man I have ever met is kissing me.I nibble on his lower lip for a moment before parting my lips inviting him to deepen the kiss.

Feeling Isabel open her lips, I quickly deepen the kiss, moaning at the sensations. I guess not all of my brain is concentrating on kissing and touching Isabel because part of it reminds me that Isabel's lying on the cold and hard floor.

Surprisingly easy, I manage to pull Isabel up again without breaking the kiss, so she's now sitting again while I'm kneeling on the stairs below her - not very comfortable but ... who cares?

I let one hand tangle in her hair while the other one is pulling her body closer to mine, desperate to have as much contact as possible.
