"I guess when the court saw that I was a mutant, they didn't give it a second thought. I was just a thing that killed an innocent person. That's what the lawyer said." Shaking my head in slight anger, I let out a sigh.

"That's bull."

That's the one thing I hate about being...mutant. It's that we don't have the same rights as everyone else, even though we aren't really different.

"Wow, sounds sort of complicated," I say with a grin, looking down at my own schedule sitting on my bed. "I like the idea of free time though..."

I notice that she seems a little uncomfortable still; maybe it's the fact that I changed, the subject, or because I'm going to end up wolfing-out tomorrow uncontrollably? It just makes me feel awkward.

"So, do you shift during your free time?" I ask, just trying to get to a slightly safer topic.

"Cool, so it's all cellular." I say, grinning at her. I mean, that's probably one of the neatest talents ever, and it comes in handy if you're stuck in a room somewhere or something.

"My talent, it's a bit different," I tell her happily, reaching out for her hand. "Here, let me show you." I take her hand in mine for a second, and concentrate, and before she knows it, her hand is chilly. Then, as a second demonstration, I blow on the window, frosting it over, and draw a smiley face in it.

"Cool, huh? Literally."

"Your not freak out about? Most guys think it big turn off. They think I might actually kill them." She says getting out of the car and I laugh.

"Hey, I'm a mutant, too. I see alot of freaky things and your not one of them." I tell her.

~Sicily~

I watch as he shakes his head, "That's bull." He says. I nod my head in agreement. It was bull shit. The human race treats us mutants like crap, just because we're 'different'. But, if they only could see that we weren't as 'different' as we seem.

Suddenly I catch a familiar smell. I tilt my head to the side and stand up.

~Tess~

"Cool, so it's all cellular." He says grinning. I nod my head and smile. "My talent, it's a bit different," He says and reaches for my hand, taking it in his. "Here, let me show you." He says and all of a sudden my hand get really cold. Then, he blows on the window and it frosts over. He draws a smiley face on it and I let a small laugh out.

"Cool, huh? Literally." He says, I nod my head and reply, "That's awesome." I tell him. I wonder what it would be like to kiss him. Ok, Tess don't even think about. He's new and, yes he's a hunk, but you don't want to rush things.

All of the sudden she stands up, and tilts her head, sniffing.

"Sicily, what are you doing?" I ask, standing up as well, confused.

~Sicily~

"Sicily, what are you doing?" I hear Michael ask me, I can hear the confusion in his voice.

"I'll be right back." I say opening his door and going down the hall. Following the familiar scent and it leads me to a door.

Tess lets out a small laugh, and I grin at her widely. Love the response, and her laugh's adorable.

"That's awesome." She says, and I do a little bow.

"Yeah, I can control ice. I can pretty much form it, freeze things, melt it, whatever, you name it. And even when I'm getting cold, I don't feel cold." That was an interesting discovery. Once, when I was doing the handshake thing, I didn't even realize I was already freezing some guy's hand, because my hand still felt it's normal temperature. That's what's good about it. But my body temp is lower naturally though, because everyone else feels warm when I touch them.

"I'll be right back." Sicily says, before walking out of the room. I follow her to the doorway, but stop there, watching her sniff around until she finds what she's looking for. But what is she looking for?

"You alright?"
