"How many times have they lied to us in total?" Sage says, and I just shake my head, still a little disbelieving myself. "I don't know any more. Are they keeping us out of danger or right in the middle of it?" he adds, and I look up. I've only seen Sage look this mad a few times, and today, I think it's justified.
"What we don't know is more dangerous than what we do, they should have told us," I say quietly, trying to stay calm about the whole thing. I don't want to blow up any lights or anything.

I bite my lip and smile, "Well, we can always go to the quary." I say. The quary was the major make out spot. I've never been there, so, I thought that we could try it out, and well....Makeout. Or just hang.

"Well, we can always go to the quary," she suggests, and I take my eyes off the road to look at her for a second. Okay, so what alien (no pun intended) took over my girlfriend. Usually Lor wouldn't be the one to suggest something like that, considering the quarry is a well known make-out spot, but I'm not gonna complain, I like her new attitude. It makes her all the more loveable.
"Sounds like a great idea to me," I say with a grin, and turn in that direction. No one will be there with school in session, so we'll have the whole place to ourselves, and I'll also be able to see if my car can drive well off road. It's a double bonus.
It only takes five or so minutes to get there since it's on the borders of Roswell, and Roswell is such a small town, and when we get there, I park underneath a shady tree on the edge of the quarry and turn off the car.
"You've never been here before, have you?" I ask, just wondering. I've been here once, but never with a girl. Lor is my first girlfriend that's last longer than a week, and I'm glad that we're still dating.

I rush to my locker before the bell rings. I get all my books for my first class, history. As I'm putting my homework and stuff in my book bag, I notice something. I reach for a colored folder that's in my bag.
It was Leo's homework assignment for Reading that was due today. As I touch it I get a vision.

Lor walks out really mad at what Leo said or did.
Leo barks, "Wait, Lor! I'm sorry, just listen." He says catching up with her. "Lor, come on. I didn't know how to respond, you know I'm not the greatest when it comes to responses and apologies and stuff."
Lor looks at him with tears, "Can you just take me home?
Leo replies, "Sure, come on."
As their on the road, Leo says, "Lor, I was just being an idiot, okay?"
"God! I can't believe I agreed to date you!" Lor snaps back.

Okay that's not good. The bell already rang and I'm already late. At any other moment it would be a big deal but not now. I hurry to his reading teacher and ask where my brother is. She says he hasn't shown up at all, and it's the forth time this week it has happened.
Ahh! I can't believe he has to pull this crap all the time!
I get out my cell phone and call to Leo's cell, dialing furriously. The cell starts to ring and I'm just anxsiously waiting for him to answer. He better answer or he's gonna be in a lot of trouble.

"Okay, you better have a good excuse for skipping school. And don't even use the, "It only happened once" excuse because your teacher says this isn't the only time you've pulled this."
Then I try to relax for a moment then think about it. Why would he be skipping school so much lately?
"Do you have a problem you don't want to share with us, Leon?" I asked concern swelling in my voice.
Leo answers, "Hello."

"No, Lor and I just wanted to take a day off, that's all, dad," I say sarcastically, my tone biting.

Shifting in my seat, I start to feel a little nervous about being here with Lor.
