"You don't see me leaving now, do you? I'm scared of losing you too, and for a few minutes today, I did. I mean, you walked away.",he says looking at me with a penetrating gaze

I feel so guilty right now that I can barely look him in the eye but he carries on,"But yes, I'm willing to give it another chance. I forgive your idiocy."
Oh thank god...for a moment I thought he was going to tell me to get lost.

"Well...I promise not to be an idiot again your highness." I reply in a slightly sarcasatic tone

She looks guilty for a minute, but then her face brightens when I get to the end of my mini speech. "Well...I promise not to be an idiot again your highness." She says sarcastically, and I just laugh, leaning forward to kiss her.

When I do, I'm suddenly so happy again. This is what it's supposed to be like. No people running away from each other in the forest. Just me and Isabel together and happy.

"I've been wanting to do that again since I punched that guy in the face," I tell her, smiling as I pull away.

Finally he kisses me.I was beginning to think that I would have to make the first move.But his kiss makes the wait worth while because Alex sure knows how to kiss,his kiss makes me weak in the knees.All too soon he pulls away and says,"I've been wanting to do that again since I punched that guy in the face."

I giggle when I recall Grant's shocked and dazed expression,"You're my hero." I tease him and climb in to his lap "What do we do now?I mean where shall we go?Can't go back to my place unless we both want to be murdered by mom and school is out of bounds."

"Well," I start, talking between brief kisses. "We could stay here, or we could go to my house, my parents are out on business."

"Hmm...how convenient for us?" I say with a wink "What are we waiting for then?Let's get a move on."

I get off his lap and put on my seat belt once more.This will be the first time that we will officially be all alone together in a house for an extended period of time.Being alone last evening at my house doesn't count.I love Alex's house,not because it's huge but there's so much to look at.His parents have travelled all over the world and collected so many items from various countries.

Not that I am going to be looking at much of anything other than Alex on this particular visit to the Whitman residence.This...I could tell was going to be a strictly 'make out' visit.

"Hmm...how convenient for us? What are we waiting for then?Let's get a move on." She says, getting off my lap to put on her seatbelt.

"Gladly," I reply, smiling as I drive back to Roswell as fast as I can go under the law. For once I'm glad that my parents are never home. Because now I can spend time with Isabel away from freaky guys and her murderous mom.

When we get there, I pull into the driveway, and get out of the car, walking around to open Isabel's door. "C'mon. Let's get inside before a nosy neighbor sees us."

Jumping out of the car he runs ot my side and grabs my hand,"C'mon. Let's get inside before a nosy neighbor sees us."

Nosy neighbours...one of the disadvantages of living in a small town.Everyone sticks their noses in to each others business if given a chance.

It will be just my luck that one of mom's friends will be passing by and see me entering the Whitman residence at the time of day when I am supposed to be in school.

We get into the house as quickly as possible, and stand in the living room for a moment, the silence of the house unsettling. "Can I have something to drink? I'm kinda of thirsty after our adventure back in the woods." Isabel says, and I smile at her, nodding.

"Sure, what do you want?" I ask, leading her into the kitchen. "We've got soda, water, juice..." Pouring myself a glass of water, I wait for her to decide, empty glass in hand.

"Umm...I'll have some grape juice please." I say as I settle down on one of the bar stools next to the island in the kitchen
I notice that the house is unusually quiet."Alex...where's your housekeeper?Doesn't she like spend the whole day here?"

I pour Isabel some grape juice as she sits down, looking around a little anxiously. ."Alex...where's your housekeeper?Doesn't she like spend the whole day here?"

I take a seat next to her and pass her her glass, smiling. "When they go away on business, they give her the time off."
