I guess Serena can tell that I'm not too happy with her suggestion, not because I don't want to meet Zan, I do believe me I do,but because Seth didn't sleep much during the flight.

I just hope she really isn't trying to set me up with someone already. Even though it would be highly unusual for her to not already think about canditates.

"First of all," I start, "I of course want to see the club when it is open but I thought that knowing the owner might have its perks, like, seeing the club when it is closed and normally no one is allowed in and secondly, if you want to smother Seth with love then feel free to offer playing baby sitter yourself!"

“Yeah,” he says smiling “It’s a very small world.”

“I met her at the club,” he says in a tone thats rather...intresting.

“We sometimes hang out at the VIP section if she isn’t busy. You know, I don’t think I’ve ever seen you at the club.”

I smile. "Thats because the one time I went to the club was when Zan made me just after they got together. I dont have time to go. Too busy with work." I say shrugging.

"Besides, Ive never really been one for clubbing" I add. "Well when I next see her, which will probably be sometime next week, Ill tell her you say hello" I say with a smile.

"Yes...I have a boyfriend, his name is Max." The Goddess beside me replies and I find myself feeling rather disappointed at that knowledge.

"He's a lucky man." I tell her, unable to help myself as I look her over appreciately.

"Any significant other in your life?" She asks me and I shake my head.

"No, I don't take much time for having a personal life. I was spending the last three years with aiding my family and have a business to run. Doesn't give me much time for a personal life." He chuckled dryly, "I sound boring don't I?"

Just because she was taken didn't mean anything anyway. New York was a big place, he doubted he'd ever see her again. "How long have you and this... Max... been together?" He asked, allowing his curiosity to show.

Maria

"He's a lucky man," Michael states, and I blush again under his appreciative stare, waiting for him to answer my question.

"No, I don't take much time for having a personal life. I was spending the last three years with aiding my family and have a business to run. Doesn't give me much time for a personal life. I sound boring don't I?" He adds with a chuckle, and I notice that his face crinkles up sexily when he laughs.

"No, you just sound like you're sure of what you're doing, unlike me," I reply with a smile. "Sometimes I don't think that I'm going where I want in life." I really don't. Sometimes I feel as though I chose the wrong career path, and even though I've never admitted it to anyone, the wrong path relationship wise.

"How long have you and this... Max... been together?" I hear him question, his brown eyes once again turned towards me, and I can tell he isn't just asking to make conversation. I'm observant; he's still curious.

"We've been dating nearly four months now," I answer, thinking back to when I met Max. Our relationship started out great, but lately there seemed to be something distant between us, and I wasn't quite sure what it was. Maybe we're drifting apart? This is something I haven't told anyone about yet, not even Tess, because I'm afraid that if I tell someone, it will sound stupid. So I keep it to myself.

"By the way when will Ris be in?"

“Sometime in the next couple of hours,” I reply, watching with apprehension as Liz skims her fingertips along the counter. Crap, I can’t remember if I cleaned the counter properly and I really don’t want to make a bad impression on Liz nor do I want Maria yelling at me for not following orders.

I half drag Liz’s suitcase to her room, secretly hoping that it would burst into flames. Suggesting luggage shopping would be so much easier if this horrible thing would somehow disappear from existence. God, its heavy. And ugly. So very, very ugly that I can’t seem to think about anything else.

“This is your room,” I say, pushing the door of the formerly spare room open. “Free feel to decorated it anyway you like. I will be more than happy to take you shopping for anything you might need.”

Yay, another excuse for some serious shopping. Just the thought of it sends a tingle of anticipation down my spine. Shopping is my one and only hobby and we have been together since I turned thirteen and discovered the not so hidden joys of the mall. I love it.

Dumping her case on the floor, I glance around the plain and simple room. This room has so much potential. I can’t wait to see what Liz does with it and what new things she buys.

“Once you’ve unpacked and done whatever you needed to do, I thought we could go across the hall and introduce you to the neighbors.” I say, brushing a strand of hair behind my ear. “Serena is probably dying to meet you. And Max, Maria’s boyfriend, will most likely be around somewhere.”

“Uh huh, I believe you. Thousands wouldn’t but I do.” I say when Alex denies only wanting to see the club while its closed. “And knowing the owner will only get you so far, buddy so you better play nice.”

“…and secondly, if you want to smother Seth with love then feel free to offer playing baby sitter yourself!"

“I’d be seriously hurt if you didn’t let me baby-sit Seth. I’m really looking forward to spending some time with him.” I state with a smile.

And that is the God honest truth. I cannot wait to spend some time with Seth. I’ve missed so much over the last couple of years and I want to make up for it now, I want to be a part of his life. There are so many things I want to show him and so many places I want to take him. New York is the greatest place on earth and it has so much to offer. I can’t wait to show it all to Seth.

“I only thought…” I begin to add, “that you would like to spend your first night out in New York with your favorite cousin and her wonderful friends. But of course if you already have plans then consider me your baby sitter in shining armor. And talking of shining armor, when is Michael getting into town?”

Okay, so we have no Max. Would anyone be willing to temp for him? Also, I've been thinking about changing the rating of this roleplay from teen to mature. Does anyone have any problems with that?

And I just wanted to say that I love all of the posts. This roleplay seems to be going really well and I hope that we can keep it up

“Don’t you live with Serena?” I ask when Isabel mentions something about seeing her next week. Maybe it has something to do with her comment about being so busy. But honestly, only visiting The Wreak once especially when you’re friends with the owner has gotta be a crime.

I try and think back, to see if I can remember Serena ever mentioning Isabel but I can’t think of anything. Serena has never been one to talk about her private life and I’ve always respect that. The only thing she did mention was that her boyfriend was big enough and strong enough to kick my ass if I ever tried anything on with her.

"Michael and shining armor belong in the same sentence?" I tease. "I think his plane should land soon, if the flight wasn't delayed, that is. And believe it or not, even though I'm already in town for about an hour, I don't have plans for tonight yet, so spending time with your friends and you would be great. If they don't mind that I keep Seth near, that is."

Don't want him to be alone on his first night here in the city. Then I think about Serena's earlier words. "You look forward to baby sit? Are you getting ready to nest and start a family of your own?" I grin at her before turning serious. "Im sure that you are going to be a fantastic mother, Serena. Seriously."

SERENA

"You look forward to baby sit? Are you getting ready to nest and start a family of your own?" Alex grins before his expression turns more serious. "I’m sure that you are going to be a fantastic mother, Serena. Seriously."

I reach over quickly and cover Alex’s mouth with my hand. Sadly, it wasn’t quick enough and the words were already out and in the open. Of course, I can’t help but feel a little proud that Alex thinks that I’m going to be a fantastic mother. And he’s right. I will make a damn good mother. It just won’t be happening in the near future.

“Don’t mention the ‘M’ word.” I say, only half jokingly as I lower my voice to a whisper. “Zan gets seriously nervous every time those sort of words are mentioned and I know that he is a sleep right now but these walls can be seriously thin at times.”

“She’s right,” Max murmurs, finally joining in with the conversation. “And Zan has ears like a elephant.”

I can’t help but snort at Max’s comment about Zan’s ears as I remove my hand from Alex’s mouth.

“Zan and I are so not ready for a addition to the relationship,” I say, “And why would I need one of my own when I can look after Seth to my heart’s content.”
