"So Granger where to next?" The new girl says to me. I give Harry and Ron a please help me out look but they say nothing. Thanks guys I owe you one I think to myself. "I can show lyou the basics and some of the classes you will have...........It shouldn't take to long." I say stepping away from the half circle Harry, Ron and I formed.
"I'll be back in no time...try not to get into any trouble with out me."I tell Harry and Ron with a grin. I walk to the door and wait for the new girl to follow. I wish Ron or Harry would have offered to go with us but it seems they didn't get the point of my look.

I twirl around in my chair when I head Professor McGonagal.
Reagan will be staying in our house, and Hermione is showing her around.
She says hello...and I swear her voice....its musical. Its...amazing.
Im too busy thinking about her that I ignore her when she holds her hand out to me.
I lose track of everything until
"I'll be back in no time...try not to get into any trouble with out me."
Shes taking her away!
"Ill come too" I say quickly getting up off my chair. "I have nothing else to do, and Im sure two guides are better than one....but then again Hermione knows EVERYTHING....so I can just fill you in on the staircases, ghosts and people to avoid." I say standing by her. I try not to look at her or the whole world will disappear again.

I look up, raising an eyebrow as Arianna describes her parents being in Slytherin and Gryffindor. Tessa immediately jumps in, asking her parents names. A very good start. We all know that Sirius was in Gryffindor. Was he her father? Who was her mother?
"I thought you were from America," I say, still wanting to hear her answer to Tessa's question. "I didn't expect you to have roots here. Is that why you transferred to Hogwarts?"

I'm trying to listen as Michael goes through our schedule. Potions with Snape is never fun and to share it with Slytherin is worse. They always get extra leeway while he slams down on us. But DADA with Ravenclaw? That is something to look forward to. That means Liz will be there. I try to prevent the small smile from coming to my face at the thought, and I don't think I succeed.
I turn away slightly, hoping Michael won't notice, and that's when I see the new transfer student, the blonde one, looking in our direction. I remember her last name was Riddle, but I don't remember her first.
"Don't look now, but I think the new girl is watching you," I whisper. I have no idea if it's true, but I need a chance to get back at the way he's been teasing me over Liz...

"Oh, yes. That is odd. What were your parents names? Maybe I've come across their records somewhere." Tessa asks me the one question I really don’t want to awnser.
“I doubt they would be even mentioned.” I say finding the right words quickly. “They were nothing special.”

“I was born in London but moved to America when I was very young, but no, I chose Hogwarts for… other reasons.” I say. “So what’s the best class to take?” I say changing the subject.

Harry and Hermione get up to go off with the new girl, Regan, and I look at them, feeling abandoned.
"Um, I'll come too," I say quickly, rising from my seat. "My name's Ron Weasley." I say with a smile, going to stand next to Hermione. Harry's creeping me out; looking at the new girl like she's going to sprout wings and fly away.
Harry and Hermione get up to go off with the new girl, Regan, and I look at them, feeling abandoned.

"Um, I'll come too," Ron says and a sigh of relief escapes my mouth. Ron comes to stand with Harry and I. "My name's Ron Weasley." He introduces himself to the new girl. I roll my eyes.
"Let's go." I say quickly before the girl has a chance to reply. I turn on my heels and stomp a little more than I would have liked out of the gryffindor common room. I don't look behind me to see if they are following but I can hear their footsteps. I slow my speed down and wait for Harry, Ron and the girl to catch up. I shake my head slightly at my actions. There is no reason to be jealous of this girl...........besides she's not even Ron's type and why do I care what type of girl Ron likes anyway.
As soon as the group is beside me I start the tour. I point out inportant class rooms and historical paintings. We walk down one of the halls and I spot Drako Malfoy at the other end talking with a small group of girls. "Oh look it's the ferrit," I say to Ron and Harry. I giggle with the memory of how Drako got his nickname.
We walk down the hall towards them and it seems as if the new girl knows one of the girls Drako is talking to.

"Let's go." Hermione says quickly, and she sounds a little angry. I don't know what's been up with her lately, she seems to snap at everything I say. It's odd, that's all.
We're walking down the hall when we come upon Draco and some slytherin girls, what a surprise. Then I see that other new girl, the one with the last name Black. She must've got sorted into Slytherin.
"Oh look it's the ferrit," Hermione says with a giggle, and I chuckle along wither her, holding my wand out in front of me as I imitate Moody bouncing Malfoy around. "Funniest moment of my life," I reply, laughing.

I'm a bit annoyed that Arianna hasn't answered my sister's question. I'll get her to tell me her parents names. No doubt.
"Everyone in Slytherin was special," I tell her. "If your mom was in our house, then it'll be recorded, for sure. If you tell me her name, you may find out more than you knew before. Maybe she went to school with Snape and my dad," I suggest. "He may give you a few more points if she did. Snape teaches Potions, so we all like to go to that class with him."
I don't add that while he gives us points and praises us in class, if we screw up, we all hear about it afterwards in the house. He can't stand it if we don't out-shine the other houses, especially Gryffindor.
Then I see Hermione returning with Potter and Weasley. With her, is Arianna's friend, Riddle. The mudblood immediately starts to giggle when she sees us and starts to bounce her wand up and down. I'm not sure what she's up to, but I don't like it. I tighten my lips together before looking away from her.
"It's a shame your friend was stuck with those horrid Gryffindors," I say, leading her away from them.

I'm disappointed that Michael doesn't seem to be interested in the girl. I'm not even certain that she was looking at him but it would be a lot more fun if I could get my share of teasing in.
"We'll do all right," I tell him. I do well in all my classes. Potions is the hardest, not because of the subject, but because of Snape. Even when I know the answer, I feel like I must be wrong just because of the way he looks at Griffendors. Michael's right about Isabel, 'tho. She probably won't be a lot of help. If she does know the answer and we don't, she'll tease us. If she doesn't, she'll never admit it.
"I hope our Defense against the Dark Arts teacher is good this year." That position must be cursed. Nobody seems to be able to hold the job for more than a year and Michael really needs it if he's going to be an Auror. Well, we all need it.
