I shuffle backwards on my bed and wrap my arms around my legs.
"Liz understands...Max didnt hate Liz...does now though....stupid Liz messes everything....Liz shouldnt do magic....Liz shouldnt be here...Max deserves better...Max hates Liz now....Liz is a horrible stupid person...Liz shouldnt burden this house with herself...stupid STUPID Liz....Max hates Liz....Liz hates Liz...."
I start to rock back and forth.

I walk over the bed and sit down. Gathering her in my arms I whisper "I don't hate you." over and over hoping that she will believe me.

I yell the last word as I slap myself as hard as I can around the face.
Tears sting my eyes from the pain but I dont care.

Before I even know whats happening Liz smacks herself.

Gently I grab Liz's hand and run my thumb over her knuckles trying to think of something to do that would help her.

Releasing her hand I grab her shoulders stopping her rocking.

"Max doesn't hate Liz...Max loves Liz." I say as if I am talking to a toddler.

Liz slaps herself and I wince when I see the red mark it left.

I grab her hand again...only this time forcefully not caring if I hurt her.

"Liz...get it together...I love you. Okay?" Slowly I let go of her hand.

I gasp as I realise.
