Summary : Liz parker finds herself in a situation she cant get out of. And Max Evans is in along for the Ride.

Note - This idea came into my head while I was working at work and I had to go with it because I thought it was somewhat funny in a way! Hope u like. Need feedback people! I thrive for it!

Chapter one

Liz parker hated her sister with a passion. All The guys were always Pinning over her. She was perfect to a tee. Her hair was perfect, perfect shade of eyes and she had the perfect smile. And she was dorky. Liz hated being the sister of the popular girl. It annoyed Liz to death when people didnt even know her name. She was considered " Sarah's Sister" Or "That dorky girl thats related to Sarah". Liz watched Sarah Fling her hair At Andy Carlson The head quaurter back of the West roswell high comets. Liz wanted to die right then and there. She could think of a million ways to Slowly tourture herself so she wouldnt have to look at her sister again. Liz loved her sister with a passion but she hated the fact that she had to be the dorky sister who could never get a date and was more into reading books and studying then pinning over the Hot sexy boys of West roswell high. Liz's best friend Maria Deluca sat down next to her at their usual table.

"Whats with the face?" maria asked as she popped open a can of Soda.

"What? What Face" Liz asked as she started reading her book.

"Its that face you get when you see your sister with all the guys and here you are in your juniour year of high school and never had a date in your life and never had boyfriend and never been..."

"Ria! You dont have throw up in my face" Liz said brushing her hair behind her eyes.

"What about max?" Maria asked.

"Max?" Liz looked at her curiously.

"yeah you know max, The guy you've known your entire life and happens yto live next door to you and was like or has been your childhood friend"

" what about him?" Liz asked.

" Why do you ask him out?" Maria said.

"Maria can we not talk about this now please" Liz said as she tried to concentrate on her book.

" Maybe if you lived a little and got your nose out of those books you would have actually kissed a guy. Lizzied I'm your best friend and I'm trying to help"

"Well you can help by staying out of things" Liz said as she closed her book and headed out of the cafeteria.

later that day -

Sarah came into Liz's room and plopped down on the bed. Liz was feverishly typing on her computer. She knew Sarah was up to something or she wanted something. She laid on the bed chomping on her gum so loud it drove liz insane.

"What do you want Sarah I'm kind of busy" Liz said turning towards her.

" What makes think I want something?" Sarah said with a smile.

"Because you only come into my room when you want something. What ever it is the answer is no" Liz replied as she went back to her computer.

"You havent heard what I have to say" Sarah said with a pouty look.

"Ok what is it?" Liz asked.

"Well you know....in a couple of weeks the spring will be here"

"yeah and your point is?"

"Well I was wondering if you were going" Liz turned and looked at her and the excitement on her face about this spring dance.

"Not really" Liz said.

" Not Really? Lizzie! My little sis! Everyone goes to the spring dance!" she yelled.

"Its a stupid dance where the popular Kids can hang out and win stupid awards for being popular. Its not My kind of pie" Liz said.

"Lizzie! Please go! It will be fun we can buy dresses together and get ready together and have a good time!"

"Fine! if it will get you off my back I'l go" Liz said. Sarah jumped for joy and hugged her sister.

"You wont regret this!"

"yeah I will."

"Now who you planning on taking with you?"

"Ummmm..... I have to take someone?" Liz said.

"Umm duh! It is a dance! I thought you were smart?"

"Ummm I am and I dont know .....Maybe I'll take my....boyfriend" sarah Looked at her suprised.

"you have a boyfriend! Oh ,my god Lizzie! bring him I meet him!" Sarah jumped up for joy. Liz was sitting there in shock. She...just told her sister she had boyfriend! But she was being saracastic and wasnt being serious.

"Sarah! Wait I..." Too late! Her sister was so happy she was singing and dancing down the hall to her room.

"What did I just do?" Liz said plopping down on the bed.

several days later -

All Sarah parker could talk about was her sister and her mystery boyfriend. It was Driving Liz mad. Maria came up to as she was Putting her books in her locker.

"Why didnt you tell me that you had a boyfriend?" Maria said.

"Ummm Maria... "

"Liz just tell me who he is" Liz didnt know what to say. This was all getting out of hand. The next thing she knew she spit out the first name that popped into her head.

"Max" Liz said. Maria looked at her with shock and horror. She paraticaly screamed, liz covered her mouth. What was she getting herself into. She didnt just say max evans was her boyfriend!

" One word and I will kill you" Liz said uncovering her mouth.

Chapter 2

Maria Down the hall after max. She grabbed him by the arm and pulled him towards the empty class room. max looked at her confused and clueless.

"Maria what are you doing?" Max asked.

"Why didnt you tell me?"

"tell you....what?" Max asked her curiously.

"You know what I am talking about. About you and Liz why didnt you tell me you two were a thing!" maria said excitedly. Max looked at her curiously.

"umm what?" Max asked.

"I think you two are so cute together! I'm so happy for you!" Maria hugged him tightly and quickly walked out. Max had no idea what was going on.

Later that day -

max saw Liz at Lunch. he went over to her table and Pulled her by the arm and dragged her outside the cafeteria.

"What are you doing!" Liz yelled.

"Why in the owrld would you go and tell Maria Of all people that me and you were dating!" he yelled.

"I'm going to kill her!" liz yelled.

" Not Before I Kill you!" Max yelled.

"I'm sorry its a long story!" Liz yelled.

"Care to tell it???" Max said with his arms crossed in front of him.

"Umm not at this point in time i dont" Liz replied.

"Ohh I think I deserve an explatination as to why all of sudden were boyfriend and Girlfriend when we havent been out on one date!"

"Ok ! Ok! Its has to do with my sister" Liz said.

"Ohh I so could of seen that coming!"

"She wanted me to go to the dance with her. And I told her I would. And I sort of told her I would bring my boyfriend."

"Oh my god! Liz!" Max yelled.

"I was being sarcastic when I said it! And She thought I was being serious! And then Maria found out and she asked me who he was and.....your...name was the first name that slipped out of my mouth. This is bad really bad "

" You think? your just doing this into impress your sister"

"No I'm not! Its all a big miss understanding! And....I need you to help me" Liz said.

"Ummm no" Max said walking off. Liz ran after him and stopped him.

"please max. We've known each other for how Long?"

"Since the Thrid grade" Max replied.

"Well....Cant you help me out please" Liz looked over and saw Her sister walking towards her. She quickly pulled max closer as her sister came up to them.

"Liz? Is this your....boyfriend? max?" Sarah parker said with a smile on her face.

"yeah it is. Me and max are official now that you know" Sarah jumped for joy and Hugged Liz tightly.

" I'm so happy for you" She said.

"Thanks" liz replied.

"Look me and Andy are going out tonight why...dont we make it a double Date" Liz looked at her sister suprised.

"umm yeah sure" Max was shaking his head no the whole time.

"Ok cool, Tonight 8pm at the crashdown"

"Ok" Liz said as she watched her sister walk away. She looked over at max and smiled.

"Now you have to play along or I am in big trouble" Liz said walking down the hall.

Later that Night 8pm -

Liz Sat Next to max in the booth waiting for Sarah and Her date come. She nervously played with the silverware that was on the table.

" This is crazy Liz. You cant lie to your sister" max replied.

"Max I know, But I cant tell her I dont have a boyfriend either, Then I would Like a bigger loser. And besides....I...dont want to like an idiot in front of everyone when I go to the stupid dance without a boyfriend or a date."

" Oh we wouldnt want that now would we?" Max replied as he laid back in the booth. Liz nervously tapped the fork on the table it was driving Max nuts. He took the fork from her and threw it on the table.

" Your so dam nervous thats it going to be obvious that we've never been on a date together" max said.

"Sorry I cant help....it" Liz replied. Just then Andy walked in with Sarah. They sat across from max and Liz in the booth.

"A little late are we?" Liz replied.

"Sorry we...had to take care of something....before we came" Andy replied with a smile. Max Looked at Andy and knew what he meant.

"Yeah Me and Liz were almost late....we were taking care of something too" Max said with a smile. Liz Kicked max under the table.

"Really?" Sarah said looking at her sister suprised.

"Its not what you think" Liz said looking at max seriously.

"Ok" Sarah said. There was an unerving silence between everyone. Finally Andy Broke the silence.

"So Max How Long have you and Liz...been a thing?" he asked. Max didnt know what to say he looked at Liz hoping she would come up with an answer.

"Ohh ummm about three...months" Liz replied.

"really? All this time I never knew? being secretive are we little sis" Sarah asked.

"yeah well Its not Like you dont keep secrets" Liz replied.

" Ok well Enough about us" Max said.

"I want to know" sarah said. Liz was starting to get nervous again she couldnt sit still.

"Well....what do you want know" Liz asked nervously.

"Well first off where your first date was. And your first Kiss"

"Your loving this too much Sarah" Liz replied.

"What? I want to know." Andy came between them.

"Look the movie starts in twenty minutes Why dont we just go" Andy replied.

"Yeah sure" Sarah said as she got up and headed towards the door.


During the movie Liz Sat next to max. This is crazy. Liz thought.Every Five seconds Sarah was looking at them and smiling. Max laid his arm on the arm rest and Touched Liz's arm. Liz nervously moved her arm. Then Max leaned over and whispered in Liz's ear.

"We have to make this believeable" he whispered.

"How?" Liz whispered. Max Took Liz's hand in his.

"I'm playing along just like you want me too" he whispered in her ear.

"Ok" Liz whsipered back. Max Leaned in closer, Liz could feel his warm breath on her cheek. Max turned her face so she was looking at her. He leaned in and Brushed his lips on hers. Liz started to pull away. She was starting to feel something. Something she didnt feel before.

"How's that" he whispered.

"Bel..believeable" Liz whispered. Liz glanced over at Sarah who was smiling.

" How about this" He whispered as he kissed her passionetly. They were pratically making out in the middle of the theater. Liz Felt light headed now. She felt like she was floating on air.

"Wow" Liz whispered.

"That...should do it" Max whispered softly not taking his eyes off her.

"Umm yeah" Liz whispered. Liz knew in the back of her mind that this was all pretend. But it was real, The kiss was real. Did he really mean to do that or was he just doing it to make it look like they were truly a couple. When the movie ended max walked with Liz holding her hand.

"Were going to walk home" Max said to andy and Sarah.

"Ohh ok" Sarah said Hugging her sister.

" you think they bought it" Max asked.

"yeah...they...did" Liz said softly. She couldnt help but smile. The Kiss was perfect even though were only doing it for show.

"Liz we cant....." Max started say.

"Cant what? Lie? Keep Lying? I know we cant. But I want to know something."

"What?" max asked.

"When you...you Kissed me... that was part of your plan right? And you really didnt mean to you know....kiss me" Liz asked. max didnt know what to say.

"Yeah.." Max said softly.

"yeah it wasnt or yeah it was?" Liz asked.

"It was part of the plan. Wasnt that what you wanted? To impress your sister and make look like we were real? Liz stuck in this mess now we might as well play along." Max said.

" yeah I got myself into this mess"

"yeah you did and you pulled me into it. What was you thinking when all this happened!"

"I wasnt thinking! you see I've never been on a date with a guy! I've never kissed a guy untill now and...."

"And what?" max asked.

"Nothing, lets just keep playing along like its nothing and pretend that we actually like each other for my sisters sake, because I have a big and I got us into this mess!" Liz yelled. They came to her house she went up to the front door.

"Goodnight" Liz said softly.

"Goodnight" max said softly. Liz hadnt realized she still had a hold of max's hand. She pulled away and went inside. She Shut the door behind her and leaned on the door and took a deep breath. She was screaming with excitement inside but also she was going crazy.

Chapter 3

The next day -

Liz wasnt happy about this. She hated going shopping with her sister. Max and andy followed behind them and they carried several dresses with them into the dressing room.

"We have to have a guys opinion On these ok" Sarah said.

"Why?" liz asked.

"because thats just the way it is" Sarah said with a smile as they both entered the dressing room. Max waited for Liz to come out so he could rate how she looked. Sarah came out of the dressing room with this beautiful sky blue dress That fit her hips perfectly.

"Wow" Andy said Staring her down.

"you Like max?" Sarah asked posing for him.

"Its...great" Max replied.

"Liz come out please!" Sarah yelled. Liz looked at herself in the mirror. This so wasnt her. The dress was a deep Pink and strapless. She didnt have the boobs for it. Sarah came into the dressing room and saw Liz. She was stunned.

"oh my god Liz Max is going to fall off his chair. He wont beable to keep his hands off you" Sarah looking at her reflection in the mirror.

"Its so not me Sarah. This stupid"

"Liz" Sarah pulled her out of the dressing room. She stood there in front of max like a shy little girl.

"Wow" Andy said looking at her. Max Looked up at her and couldnt say a word. the dress was perfect. She looked so amazing.

"So what do you think?" Sarah asked.

"Ummm Those are...the ones..." Andy said.

"max?" sarah asked.

"Ummm yeah...that...those are the ones" Max said not taking his eyes off Liz. He had never seen Liz so beautiful in his whole entire life.

"Ok then" Sarah said as she went back into the dressing room. Andy nudged Max in the side.

"Dam! Max!" he said.

"What?" Max said leaning back.

"For a Dorky sister like her she is hot! Dam you two will be the stunning couple of the dance" andy said.

"I dont know about that" Max said softly. Liz came out of the dressing room in her normal clothes. Sarah had Both dresses in her hand.

" off to find you guys something stunning to wear" Sarah said taking Andy by the arm.

"Does this mean we get to judge them" Liz asked.

"Oh yes" Sarah said with a smile.

"Oh boy" max said.


Max stood in the dressing room Looking at himself. He hated suits and ties. he wasnt really one of thos guys that liked to dress up. But had to play along for Liz's sake. He couldnt his mind off of the image of Liz in that dressed. She looked so dam...what was he thinking. This is crazy.

"max come out we have to see" Sarah said through the door. Max came out of the dressing room. Liz looked at him and was stunned. He looked so goodlooking in a suit.

"Wow" Sarah said. Sarah nudged Liz in the arm.

"Umm those are...the ones" Liz said with a shy little smile.

"perfect! Now were all set to go to teh dance!" sarah with excitement. Liz stood there Staring at max. later on They each went out to get some ice cream at the little ice cream shop in the middle of the mall. Liz sat across from max at the table while Andy And Sarah were getting their ice cream. Liz wouldnt Look at him. Max glanced over at Sarah.

"They seem happy together" Max replied as he dipped a spoonful of Ice cream in his mouth.

"yeah They Do" Liz replied. Max Leaned over and dug his spoon in her ice cream.

"Hey! what do you think your doing!" Liz yelled.

"Tasting" Max said with a smile.

" Taste your own" Liz said.

"Your taste so much better" he tried to get another dip but liz pulled the cup of ice cream away.

"Dont even!" Liz said. Liz reached over and took a dip of his.

" If I cant have yours you cant have mine" max said as he kept on Sarah who was watching them.

"Ok fine I'll share if you'll share" Liz said laughing as she took a spoonfull and fed it to max.

"Very good" Max said. he took a spoonfull of his fed it to her. But it dripped off and landed in her lap.

"Hey!" She yelled.

"Sorry" He said laughing. Andy and Sarah came over to the table and sat down.

"You two are two cute" Sarah said taking a bite of her ice cream . Liz lauughed and smiled at max. Andy Smiled at Sarah.

"Hey babe how about we go Look around and let these two love birds alone" Andy asked.

"Sure only if you'll buy me something special" She said winking at her sister as she got up with andy. They walked off and finally Liz took a deep breath and relaxed.

" you've done that Little Ice cream trick on girl before havent you?" Liz asked. Max laughed.

"I'm not saying" he replied.

"Only a week until the dance and we dont have to do any of this anymore" Liz said.

"Dont do what? Pretend?" Max asked.

"yes" She said softly.

"ohh Ok so the whole dress thing was all for show?"

"What?" Liz asked curiously.

"you purposely picked that dress knowing that..."

"Knowing that what?" Liz asked.

"Nothing, never mind."

"tell me" Liz demanded.

"Nothing Just forget it!" Max said sitting back.

" Can I ask you something?" Liz asked.

"Go Ahead" Max said.

" Do you have a Girl...friend?" Max looked at her suprised. He wasnt expecting her to ask. There was One girl that he was interested in but never had the balls to ask out. But ever since this whole situation with liz and the supposedly pretend kiss he wasnt sure now.

"No" Max said softly.

"But your interested in someone right?" She asked.Max didnt answer right away.

"Maybe" he replied.

"Do I know her?" Liz asked

Sarah came back to the table with a giant Eyore from Winnie the pooh. She stuck it in the middle of the table.

"Whats wrong with you?" She asked Liz. Liz glanced at max and Then back at Sarah.

"Ummm nothing. Where did Andy find this?" Liz said.

"In the toy store. I told him how much it reminded me of when we were little. How we use to watch Winnied the pooh together. And How I told you that I was Eyore and you were piglet" Sarah Playing with the stuffed eyore.

" I remember" Liz said softly. Sarah Then pulled out a stuffed Piglet.

"Oh my god Sarah!" Liz said taking the stuffed piglet.

" I knew you would Love it" Sarah said hugging her.

" You know what max?" Liz asked.

"What?" Max asked looking at her curiously.

" There is something I need to do" Liz said as she quickly got up and went to the toy store.

"Ohhh god dont tell me she's doing what I think she is doing"

"What is she doing?" Andy asked.

"you'll see" Sarah said as she leaned in and kissed Andy.

"She isnt doing what...I think is she?" Max asked Sarah.

"Oh yeah" Sarah said with a smile. Liz came back with a bag in her hand and sat down.

"Max remember when we were Ten you Said spiderman was your hero"

"Ummm yeah you didnt get me...." Liz smiled and Pulled a huge Stuffed spiderman and laid it front of max.

"yep And just in your honor we are going to watch spider man the movie tonight" liz said with a smile.

"your kidding right?" Max asked.

"Does it look Like I am kidding" Andy was laughing his head off.

"you thought Spider was your hero." Andy replied laughing.

"I was ten at the time"

" I have pictures of him dressed up as spiderman" Liz laughing.

" your so getting it"

"really?" Liz said with a smile.

" yeah Ms Piglet" Max said laughing.

"yeah well Piglet is so much cuter Then spiderman" Liz said laughing. Max has never had so much fun in his life as he ws having right now. He took the spiderman and bopped Liz on the head with it.

"Ouch!" Liz said.

"Dont mess with the spiderman" max said laughing.

"Ok break up you two your going to get us thrown out of here" Sarah said trying to laugh at them.

Later that Night -

Liz , Andy and Sarah knocked on Max's front door. Max opened the door and held up the DVD.

" You were actually serious?" Max replied.

"yeah I was you didnt Think I was?" Liz replied as she walked in.

" Its ok Max, we are all spiderman fans" Andy said patting him on the shoulder.

"yeah right" max said shutting the front door. He looked over at Liz and she smile at him and patted the couch saying there was spot for him right next to her. He plopped down on the couch next to her while Sarah Prepared the movie.

Chapter 4

The next Day at school -

Sarah Came up to max at the table and threw her stuff down. Max looked at her curiously.

"What?" Max asked her.

" I was thinking" Max laughed.

" Thats scary when you think" max said laughing. Sarah Punched him in the shoulder.

" Ok so Andy and I were thinking about having This pre Spring Dance party at the old soap factory. And You and Liz should come"

"Not really our kind of thing" max replied.

" Ok well where is my little sis anyways" Sarah asked.

"I think she is spending her lunch hour in the library" Sarah smiled.

"Oh thats so her." Sarah laughed. Andy came up to Sarah and wrapped his arms around her.

"Well I'm going ...to..find Liz" Max said as he started to get up.

"Ok" Sarah said turning her attention to Andy. Andy gave her a weird look.

"What?" Sarah asked.

" Nothing" Andy said as he kissed her. Max Came into the library and saw Liz studying. he threw his stuff down andn sat across from her.

"No tell me. Something is on your mind" Sarah looking at him.

"I...Think its nothing" Andy replied.

"Whats nothing?" Sarah asked.

"Well I Think....Max has a little thing for you" he replied. Sarah Laughed at him and Punched him in the shoulder.

"where did get that idea" She asked.

" I dont know maybe I'm just paranoid or something"

" He cant have a thing for me he so has a thing my Dorky little sister" Sarah kissing him.

"She wasnt so dorky in that dress she picked out for the dance" Andy said laughing. Sarah gave him a suprised look and nudged him in the shoulder again.

later on -

Max couldnt concentrate. he was going to go crazy. He would have to tell Liz that he cant go through with this. He didnt want to break her heart. But he wasnt sure what he felt yet. He knew he felt something so strong for Liz, But someone else had been filling his thoughts before Liz. he always thought of Liz as a childhood friend. And Now things have changed. He looked down at his test and realized he only answered two questions. 'shit' Max thought as he tried to concentrate. The bell rang for the next class, he hoped he past the test with flying colors. He so wished his Life was over right now. He went to his Locker and Liz came up to him.

"hey are you ok" she asked. he jumped a little.

"yeah I'm...good you just scared me thats all" Max replied.

"My sister told me about the party." Liz replied.

"yeah she told me at Lunch" max said walking with her to class.

" So are we going?" Liz asked.

"umm...I dont know. There is sort of something I need to talk to you about"

"Ok what?" liz asked stopping dead in her tracks.

" I think this whole should...stop Liz" Liz looked at him suprised.

"you mean this who lie about you and me..ummm ok. This is about the other girl isnt it? you can tell me who she is because i can handle were not really together"

"you see thats...the whole point"

"What?" Liz asked confused.

"Nothing I'm just going to tell your sister we broked so we wont have to go to the dance and You should go to the party."

"I'm so not going to that party...not without you max" Liz replied. The bell rang telling them they were late.

"Umm can we talk about this later"

"No if this is what you want to do I'll be the first one to do it. Were done and I'll tell my sister myself" Liz said walking to class. Max stood there he felt like punching something at this point and time. Sarah came walking down the hall and saw the look on max's face.

"max?" She asked.

" I'm late for class" He said quickly darting down the hall. Sarah knew something was up.

After school -

Max Sat up in his tree house Just listening to everything around him and thinking. He heard a noise and was expecting to see Liz But instead he saw someone he wasnt expecting.

"What are you doing up here?" he asked as he Picked up the stuffed spiderman Liz had gave him.

"Well I saw you come up here and I so know something is wrong between you and My sis" Sarah said sitting next him.

"What makes you think that?" Max asked.

"because My sister wont talk to me she has her nose stuck in her journal writing. I think she is writing a novel about today and your up here pouting" Sarah said taking the spiderman from him.

" We broke Up today" Max said softly.

" you broke Up?" Sarah asked.

"yes" Max said softly.

" I'm sure its nothing tomorrow will be brand new and you two will forget all about this" She said. Then she saw the look on his face and new it was serious.

"Oh god this is serious. what happened?" Sarah asked.

"I dont want to talk about it" Max said leaning back against the tree house wall.

"Well I hate seeing you this way and I know my sister wont talk to me and she wont wanna talk to you. How about I go get some ice cream and we can sit up here and just talk or something sarah said."

"Sounds good" Max said softly.

"Be right back" sarah said.

Sarah went back into the house and found Liz eating a thing of Vanilla ice cream.

" Why didnt you tell me that you two broke up?" sarah asked going to the fridge and grabbing two things of Ice cream and two spoons.

"because I dont have to tell you everything."

"He's taking it hard Liz" sarah said.

"And how would you....Where is he?" Liz asked.

"In the tree house and he doesnt want to see you. I'm going to have a little talk with him and I'm so going to make things better between you two" Sarah said with a smile.

"maybe I dont want you to make things better" Liz said.

"Too bad I am" Sarah said as she walked out the door. Sarah and max sat up in the tree house and talked for hours. Liz came around to the back and heard them laughing and having fun. This wasnt to suppose to happen. this wasnt the plan! She wanted to climb up in that tree house ruin their fun. But she went back into the house. She slammed the door. What was wrong with her.? She was acting as if this was all real. He was just doing this to irritate her!. Liz wanted to scream as she stomped upstairs.

" I remember how you wouldnt let Liz up here. She would get so mad and yell she was never going to play with boys again especially ones named max Evans." Sarah laughed.

"yeah well I did let up here after that. She threatened me and then I think she gave me a black eye" Sarah laughed so hard she nearly spit her ice cream out of her mouth.

"My dorky sister did that? Oh my god I never knew!" Sarah said laughing.

"So ummm.... you and Andy seem close" max said softly.

The next day -

"I'm going to keep bugging you until you go talk to her!" Sarah yelled at max.

"Maybe I dont want to go talk to her" max said as he tried to get back to his studies.

"Well I'm just going to sit here and annoy you until you do" Sarah said poking him.

"Stop!" max yelled. Sarah laughed at him.

"Man! Your sister looks awfully cozy with your former boy toy girl" Maria said standing there pretending she was looking for a book on the shelve.

"I dont care" Liz said as she searched the row of Books.

"You have to care. I mean look at them" maria said glancing at them.

"She's just doing this irritate me and Its her way of trying to get us back together" Liz said as she walked passed the row of books she pulled a book and examined it. maria Pulled it from and threw it back on the shelf.

"Look Ms bookworm. I know you like max and I know he likes you. Why are you being so stubborn! Are you going to let you sister sit there and be that cozy with him!" maria said.

"Yep" Liz said picking the book back up. Maria took the book from her again.

"Maria!" liz said looking at her.

"Look...This is so stupid" maria said.

"Liz breath, Ok so you did all this to impress your sister. And now you truly feel something for max"

"Well Umm you better get sure. because if you dont Your sister is going to put the moves on him" maria said.

"It has to mean something!" Maria said. Mr Thornson came up to Liz and maria with a smile on his face.

"Does Detention mean anything to you two?" he asked with a smile.

"Are lips are sealed" Maria said as she pulled liz back to the table where their stuff was.

"Just go talk to him" Maria said softly.

"No" Liz said trying to get back to her assignment. Max kept glancing up at Liz but Sarah would not stop bugging him.

"No!" Max yelled. Mr Thornson came up to their table again.

" How does Dentention after school sound" Mr thornson asked Max and Sarah.

"Umm not good" Sarah said with a disgusted look.

"Well thats too bad because you will be serving detention right after school today" he handed them both detention slips. Max slumped back down in his seat and gave sarah a look.

" thanks" he said softly. Maria Laughed. As she seen Thornson giving Max and Sarah Detention slips.

" They got Detention, serves them right" maria said with a smile.


After school -

Max Flipped through The History gathering information for the Essay Mr Thornson was making him and Sarah write. Sarah was chewing on her gum and Popping it.

"Thats so annoying" Max said closing the book.

"Thats why I do ity just to annoy you" Sarah said with a smile.

" Your just doing this because of your sister" Max said getting up and grabbing another book.

"yes, Because I dont understand why you two broke up" sarah said as she pulled out her notebook and started making notes.

" It just didnt work out" Max said softly.

"Thats what you keep telling me. But something tells me there is more to the story" sarah said.

"Well there isnt" max said sitting back down.

"I think there is And I am so going to find out what it is" sarah said with a smile.

"No I dont" Sarah said.

"your Nothing like your sister. I dont see how you two are related" Max replied as he started taking notes.

"Well we are. Now enough Talking lets get this essay done and over with." sarah Grabbed another book and started taking notes.


"So what do you think they are doing right now?" Maria asked. Liz smacked maria in the head with the pillow.

"I dont know and I dont care" Liz said .

"No I dont! I dont care anymore! Its all over! I'm not going to the stupid dance with max" Liz yelled as she flipped through the channels on the tv. Maria took the Remote from her and clicked the tv off and s tood in front of her.

"you cant seriously sit here and tell me you dont care. That it doesnt drive you crazy! He has a thing for your sister! And I think she has a thing for him!" Maria yelled.

Max slammed the text book shut and rubbed his eyes. He hated detention and tried to avoid it all cost.

"This sucks" Sarah said slamming the book close.

"We have an hour left" max said.

" I say write what we can and get out of here" Sarah said handing him all the notes she had took. Within an hour Sarah and Max busted out of the detention room door.

"Wanna get a soda or something at the crashdown?" Sarah asked.

Liz was busy writing in her journal. She needed write her thoughts and feelings she was feeling at the moment. She kept glancing up at the dress and thinking about max. She needed to stop thinking about him. But she couldnt. She slammed her journal shut. Liz got up and decided she was going to go sit in the tree house and just think. She Climbed up the into the tree house and was suprised to see max There By himself.

"max" Liz whispered softly.

"Liz what are you doing?" he asked.

"I came up here just to think" max said softly. Liz sat across from him. This was the time they really needed to talk. She needed to tell him how she felt and how she couldnt stop thinking about him. She needed to know some things.

" I had a long talk with your sister and....I told her How I felt tonight. And she understands" Max replied.

Liz was in her room with Sarah and Maria getting ready for the dance. Sarah Came out into the bathroom with her video camera in hand.

There was a knock on the bedroom door.

"hey!" sarah yelled slamming the door shut.

"your such a jerk!" Sarah yelled through the door.

"Thats why you love me so much!" Andy yelled. Liz came out of the bathroom and Sarah looked up at her and about fell flat on her face. Her baby sister was all grown up now.

"Dam! Max is so going to die when he sees you" Sarah said.

"yeah well just dont fall on your face or anything" sarah said hugging her little sis.

Chapter 6

"Oh my god! Ouch!" Liz yelled as Sarah held an ice pack on her ankle.

"You had be klutz on the Night of the dance" Sarah Applying pressure.

"How was I suppose to know That I would fall at the bottom of the stairs!" Liz yelled holding her ankle.

How bad does it hurt?" sarah asked.

"Alot! Did you not hear me screaming!" Liz yelled.

"I'll take her the emergency room" Max said helping her up.

"She'll miss the dance" Sarah said.

"Well What do you want me to do dance on one leg?" Liz asked.

"No" sarah said.

"Come On babe" Max said helping her.. She hopped on one foot to the door with max's help. Liz held her ankle in pain.

"I cant believe this!" Liz yelled.

"Its not bad " max said while he was driving.

"I ruined everything" Liz said.

"you didnt want to go to the dance anyways" max replied.

"I didnt but...I did..Stop Playing Mind games with me" Liz said.

" Your going to be ok so stop yelling" Max said.

Sarah and everyone else went to the dance. Maria was having a good time with michael. Sarah watched Maria and michael. She panned the camera on them and smiled.
They looked so cute together. She just wished Liz hadnt fell and hurt her ankle. Sarah Swares she did it on purpose. Andy came up to her and tickled her thigh. sarah jumped.

"Andy!" She yelled.

"Have you checked up on your sis?" he asked.

"No" Sarah said.

"maybe she did this on purpose to spend more time with max?" Andy asked.

"I dont know. But I'm not worried about her. Right I just want to have some fun" She said as she Pulled andy onto the dance floor and handed the camera to Maria who came over to their table.

Max and Liz didnt even make to the hospital. The Car broke down half way there.

"This night is beginning to suck!" Liz yelled.

"Sorry" max said leaning back on the seat.

"Your a guy get out and fix it or something!" Liz yelled.

"If I knew what the problem was maybe I would!" Max yelled back. Liz got of the car she hobbled around and nearly fell over.

"Liz what are you doing?" max asked getting out of the car.

"Hopping my way to the hospital!" Liz yelled. Liz didnt get but 1 foot from the car still she was out of breath. She plopped down on the ground and sat there with a pouty look on her face. Max was standing there laughing at her.

"What are laughing at?" She asked.

"You because your hillarious" Max said setting next to her.

"No I'm not!" Liz yelled.

"yeah you are!" Max yelled.

"What are we going to do now? We cant stay out here all night" Liz said looking at him with a serious look.

"We could, we could curl up in the back seat we each other and spend the night" max said with a grin on his face.

"You would love that wouldnt you?" Liz said.

"Every Guys Fantasy" Max said laughing. Liz punched him in the shoulder.

"Ouch!" He yelled.

"I cant believe we are missing everything" Liz said as she tried to get back up.

" Its just a stupid Dance anyways....and..." Max looked over and noticed there was a motel just down the road.

"And what?" Liz asked as she hobbled.

"And How much do you have you?" Max asked.

"What? Why do you want to know that?" Liz asked.

"Well there is a.....motel...just down the road maybe we could get a room and.....stay the night until.." Liz stopped him dead in his tracks.

" yeah right!" Liz said as she started to get in the car.

"Liz you wont stay in the car all night and the Tow truck will take hours to come and..."

"And nothing!" Liz yelled.

"Liz!" Max yelled.

"Max This is crazy!" Liz yelled.

"yeah well this is crazier!" he Picked liz up and threw her over his shoulder.

"What are you doing! Put me down!" Liz yelled.

Several hours later -

Max was Amazed they had enough cash to Get a room. Liz threw her stuff on the bed and then she herself plopped on the bed.

"Max Evans I will never forgive you for this and If My sister finds out I will kill you" Liz said laying on bed.

"Ok" max said taking his jacket off and Plopping down on the bed Next to her.

"Well at least we have some time together" Max said with a smile.

"You know The guy at the counter Looked us as if he figured we were 2 horny Teenagers who needed to get a room so they get on or something" Liz said laying there.

"yeah he did because...I made him think that so I could the room cheaper." Liz looked at him shocked.

"What?" Liz said.

"yeah and I told him were going to run off and get married" Max said laughing.

"Maxwell Evans!" Liz said slapping him with pillow.

"What!" max yelled.

"your such a guy!" liz yelled.

"Well Duh!" he said.

"Maybe we should call my sister and Let her know whats going on" Liz said grabbing the phone.

"Let me do the talking" Max said taking the phone.

"I'm afraid you might tell her where were at" Liz said giving one of those looks.

"I wont tell her a thing." Max said. Liz gave him Sarah's cell number and He dialed. It rang four times before Sarah picked it up.

"This is Sarah parker and she is having the time of her life!" Sarah said into the pain.

"umm glad to hear it" Max said into the phone. Liz was sitting on the bed flipping through the channels on the tv.

"Max? Where are you?" Sarah asked.

"Funny you should ask that" Max said looking over at Liz.

"Something tells I Dont want to know But I do want to know. Spill now I know your not at the Hospital" Sarah said.

"Ummm no were not" Max said. Max Explained everything to Sarah on the phone. She about Died on the phone.

"Ohh my god!" Sarah yelled into the phone.

"Umm yeah" max said as He smiled at Liz.

Several hours later -

Liz laid on the bed half asleep. Max pulled the sheets up over her.

"your Ankle still hurt?" he asked as he crawled into bed next to her.

"yess" Liz said tiredly.

"Sleep and We can see the doctor in the morning" Max said kissing the top of her head. He quickly fell asleep.

The Dance was slowly coming to an End. Max Told Sarah Not tell Anyone about what had happened tonight. But she couldnt but tell Maria.

"Did you check up on Liz?" Maria asked.

"Oh yeah." Sarah said with a grin on her face.

"Is something going on?" Maria asked.

"Oh yeah."

"Spill" Maria said.

"Ohhh your so going to love this" Sarah as she started telling Maria everything.

"Your kidding right?" Maria yelled.

"Nope" Sarah said.

"Ohhhh we so have to find them!" Maria said quickly getting up.

"Ohhhh not until after the dance. I kind of told Max I wouldnt tell anyone" Sarah said.

"i cant Liz would do something like this!" Maria said.

" He said they werent going to do anything but stay the night" Sarah looked at Maria and Maria looked at Sarah and they both said at the same time "yeah right" And laughed.

7am that morning -

Max slowly stirred. Liz was Curled up to him. He opened his eyes and glanced at the clock and noticed it said 7am.

"Shit!" he yelled as he quickly got up. Liz started to wake up.

"Whats going on?" liz asked.

"Were so dead" max said getting up.

"What?" Liz looked at the clock and it said 7am.

"Oh my god!" liz said. She couldnt move her ankle. She pulled the covers off and noticed how swollen her ankle was.

Sarah and Maria found The room Number. They were just about to knock when max opened the door.

"Well, well ,well" Maria said looking at her best friend.

"Its so not what you think" Liz said hobbling beside max.

"Really?" Sarah said with a grin on her face.

"Liz I thought we had a pact? And you broke it!" Maria yelled.

"I didnt break the pact ok Ria! We just slept" Liz said as max helped her walk.

"Sure" Maria said Nudging Sarah.

"Can we not talk about this and get me to the hospital Because I cant walk" Liz said.

" Mom and Dad are freaking Liz" Sarah said.

"you didnt tell them where I was did you?" Liz asked.

"No..." Sarah said.

Several hours later -

The doctor looked at her ankle and told her it was just a sprang and that she would be fine in a couple of Days if she kept her Foot propped up. Sarah wouldnt stop with the whole motel thing. She was Grounded for a 2 months and Not allowed to see max for a while.

"Liz so...tell me the truth. What was it like?" Sarah asked with a smile on her. Liz threw a pillow at her.

"It wasnt like anything because we just slept!" Liz yelled.

"yeah right thats what they all say" Sarah said tossing the pillow back at her.

" Its the truth" Liz replied.

" I'm sorry you missed the dance. It was a blast and I got awesome stuff for the year Book cd rom thing" Sarah said.

"great" Liz said. Max Knocked on the Parkers front door. Mrs Parker Answered the door.

"max" She said.

"Hi Mrs Parker Can We talk" he asked.

"Sure" She said letting him in.

"I know your probably upset about last night" he replied.

"Yes we are " She replied.

"Look it wont happen again. I promise and...."

" We think you need some time away from Liz" She said.

"Ok I'll make a deal with you" max said.

"I'm listening" Mrs parker said.

" I promise I will bring home Liz Promptly on time when ever we go as long as I can see At least twice a week during her groundation" max said.

"Ok I think that sounds reasonable. I Always did Like you Max. You can see Liz on Friday and Saturday.....and call her on sunday." Mrs parker replied.

"Its a deal" Max said shaking her hand.

Chapter 7

"Dont!" Liz yelled as Max Chased her Around the Living room of his house.

" Give me it!" Ma yelled grabbing her and picking her up and throwing her over his shoulder.

"No!" Liz yelled as she held the Remote control tightly.

"Ok Now I'm going to have to hurt you" Ma xsaid tickling her in sides. She started laughing so hard she couldnt breath.

"Stop max!" Liz yelled. max threw her on the couch and pinned her down.

" Surrender" He said tickling her.

"No!" Liz said trying push him off her.

"Fine" Max said. As he stopped. He leaned in and kissed her.Liz wrapped her arms around his neck and returned the kiss.

"God I missed you" Max said softly.

" How much did you miss me?" Liz asked with a smile.

"Too much" Max whispered as he kissed her. Suddenly the front door of his house Opened and his parents walked in. Max quickly got up and sat properly on the couch. Liz sat up and straightened herself up.

"Hey you two" Mr Evans.

"Hey Dad" Max said as he winked at Liz.

"Well I better get going before my parents start freaking out" Liz said as she headed toward the door.

"I'll walk you out" Max said following her. max closed the door behind himself.

" Its early dont go home yet" Max said pulling her into his arms and kissing her.

"I have to remember the deal?" Liz said as she kissed him.

"I know." Max said softly kissing her again.

The next day -

Sarah Sat across from max. She just sat staring at him.

"What?" he asked looking up from his plate of food.

"So how are you and my little sis doing?" She asked taking a sip of her bottled water.

"Good" max said softly.

"there is a hint of hestitation in your voice. whats going on?" Sarah asked.

"Nothing" Max replied.

"Oh its something" Sarah replied as she stole one of max's french fries.

" I've been thinking..."

"Ok" sarah replied smiling at him.

" And....I was thinking about how I want to tell your sister the truth" max replied.

"The truth?" Sarah looked at him concerned.

"yeah....I sort of lied to her"

"What?" Sarah looked at him suprised.

"But see now ..... I think I love her and I dont want to screw everything up" max said.

" what did you tell her?" sarah asked.

" I told her that I told you everything and that you understood....and were ok with it" Sarah looked at him curiously.

"Understood what?" She asked.

"That were Lying to you the whole time" max replied.

"Lying to me? What is going on max?" Sarah asked.

"Me and Liz Lied to you. We were never dating until now. She told you I was her boyfriend just to impress you...and....then she realized that I had a thing for you. So told her that I told you everything and you were ok with it."

"So you two havent been dating for 3 months? I knew something fishy was going on. I cant believe this! And I cant believe you both lied to me!" Sarah yelled as she quickly got up and Left. Liz was walking to class when Sarah stopped her in the hall.

" Why didnt you tell me" Sarah said. Liz looked at her curiously.

"tell you what?" liz asked.

"that this whole thing with you and max was a lie!" sarah yelled.

"What?" Liz looked her funny.

"Max told me everything."

"I thought....you knew about this. He told me you..."

"Understood? he lied to you! And you both lied to me! Why? Why didnt you just tell me truth in first place" Sarah said storming off.

Later that day -

Liz saw max in the library. She went up to him and threw her stuff down on the table.

"Why did you lie to me?" She asked.

"She told you didnt she?" max asked.

"yeah she did. You didnt talk to her at all until today! she didnt know anything and now she is mad at me!!" Liz yelled.

"I'm sorry! I wanted to tell you the truth before I told you that I loved you!" max yelled back.

"I hate you right now" Liz said grabbing her stuff and storming off. Andy looked at him confused.

"what just happened?" He asked.

"Long story" Max said laying his head on the table.

later that night -

Sarah and Liz didnt say a word to each other at the dinner table. their parents knew something was up.

"you two want to talk about it?" their father asked.

" You could of told me liz. You didnt have to impress me."

"yeah well you didnt have to flirt max in front of me! "

"Its not my fault he had a thing for me! He loves now! Even though you two have been all this time until now!" Sarah yelled.

"Mind telling us whats going on?" Their mother asked.

" My sweet darling little sister decided to pretend that max was her boyfriend just to impress so she could go to the dance and steal the spotlight. But it really didnt work and backfired on her. Now she does feel something for max, But max Likes me or did like me so he lied to her and told her that he told me everything and that I understood! And I didnt know about any of this until now!" Sarah said as she quickly got up and went to her room.

"Wow that was a mouthful" Their father said.

"Is that true Lizzie?" Their mother asked.

"yes" Liz said as she got up and followed sarah upstairs.

"Dont talk to me" Sarah said.

"Look. All my life I have been known as sarah's dorky little sister. Everyone knows who you are. Every guy drools all over and I wanted someone to feel that. I wanted to know what it was like to be sarah parker for the day! And I did. and I realized thats not me. Me and you are totally two different people. Everything backfired and now I had no idea I would fall for max in the process or that he would lie to me" Liz said. Sarah Looked at her and sat down on the bed taking it all in.

"Did listen to me?" Liz asked.

"I heard every word" Sarah said.

"thats all you have to say?" Liz asked.

"Why didn you just tell me Lizzie. I see you as my sister and I love you for who you are. You didnt have to impress me. And As for max having a thing for me...well I cant help that. But I think seeing you in that dress changed his whole feelings towards me. He's like a brother to me and there is no way I could ever date him." Sarah said laughing.

"So were cool now?" Liz asked.

"Cool" Sarah said hugging her.

"Go make things cool with your boy out there. I just saw him climbing into the tree house" Sarah said laughing as she looked out the window into the back yard. Liz Quickly ran around to the back of the house and climbed up into the tree house.

"I'm sorry I didnt think I would fall in love with you" Liz looked at him and smiled.

"Repeat that again?" Liz asked scooting closer to him.

"I'm in love with you liz" he said softly. Liz Leaned in and kissed him softly.

"I'm in love with you too" Liz said softly. Sarah climbed up into the tree house with them.

"Now is everything ok with us?" She asked scooting next to liz.

"yep" Liz said softly.

"Good! Now....max I just want to say I could never date you and That I think of you as a brother" Sarah said laughing.

"Ummm thanks" max said softly.

"We should fight like this more often" sarah said. Liz punched her in the arm and laughed.

"yeah right" Max said Looking at Liz and laughing.

"ok who wants desert!" Sarah said pulling out a thing of ice cream and spoons.

"We do!" Max said grabbing a spoon and digging in. they all talked and laughed the rest of the night. Liz realized her life wasnt so bad and that she would Never Lie again as long as she lived. She loved her sister to death and she realized she didnt need to impress her. She smiled at max as she ate a spoonful of ice cream. All in all she was happy now. And that was the best thing that could happen to her. She learned that she should never get herself stuck in sticky situations because she may never get out.
