"But you're still not listening! It is my choice, and I can choose whoever the hell I want. You can't stop me, and you can't make me stop loving you. And you can't say anything that will change my mind."
I look at her...shes one hard nut to crack. I try to put my point across but she stops me again.
"And you won't die Michael, because we won't let that happen. And I mean 'we' as in all of us, because we're all in this together now. And no matter how hard you push me away, I'm not leaving. I'll be standing right next to all of you when you fight this."
She raises her eyebrow, waiting for me to reply.
I have no idea how to reply to that.
So instead I take a big step towards her and pull her to me before kissing her. I run my fingers through her hair, not wanting to let her go.

I hadn't been prepared for this. I hadn't been prepared for him to... give up, like this. I'd figured we would have a fight to the death, more or less. But there he was, yanking me to him and kissing me. I stood still for a second, unable to take in this turn of events. Then I stopped thinking all together. I kissed him back, with as much passion as I felt. I became light headed, and clung to him. Otherwise, I wouldn't be able to stay upright.

"Michael, not that I'm... complaining, but... what are you doing?" I asked between his kisses. It was then that I noticed the noise. Kids filled the halls, and they were all staring at us, clapping or making catcalls.

"This isn't a peep show," I yelled, annoyed.

At first, I thought she was about to...well kick me in places.....not nice places.
But then...shes kisses back. I quickly kiss her as though my life depended on it.
"Michael, not that I'm... complaining, but... what are you doing?" she says breathlessy between kisses.
...and then I hear the noise.
The catcalling....the cheering...
And they were all noticing us. And I cant help but think this is what the skins would be like. See Maria with me...and kill her too.
"This isn't a peep show," Maria yells.
I step back from Maria.
"I should go...class" I say lamely, even though if I did go to class it would be the second one of the day I actually bothered to go to.

"I should go... class," He said suddenly, and I could practically feel him shutting down.

"No!" I said loudly, but then I stopped speaking as people stared strangely at me. I rolled my eyes and grabbed his arm, pulling him down the hall. I opened the eraser room door, shoved him inside, and followed suit.

"Ok," I started, putting my hands on my hips and pinning him with a glare. "If you think that I'm going to let you give me a catcall worthy kiss, and then just shut down on me completely, you've got another thing coming." I snapped, my eyes flashing. Then some of the fight went out of me as I looked into his stubborn face. My shoulders slumped.

"Don't do this to me Michael," I whispered. "I don't want you to break up with me, but if you're determined to do so, don't go and decide to kiss me. It isn't fair."

"Ok," she says puttting her hands on here hip...oh oh...this is never good...

God why doesnt she understand? Why doesnt she understand why I have to do this?

Her shoulders slump.
"Don't do this to me Michael," she whispers. "I don't want you to break up with me, but if you're determined to do so, don't go and decide to kiss me. It isn't fair."

I sigh. "Maria I don't want to...to break up with you. I never have...I just...I think we need to just...cool things until this...blows over." I tell her. "I couldn't live with myself if yo got hurt because of me"

"I trust you Max...I always have...and I know that things are going to work out a certain way because they are suppose to be that way. I have no doubt in my mind that we are suppose to be together--but what happens when things go bad...what if I lose you? I don't know if I will be able to continue on with you." I spoke quitely to him.

"Hey" I say cupping her face so shes looking into my eyes. "No matter what happens, no matter what you do, you could never ever lose me. Not even in a maze" I joke.
I give her a smile. "I will always be here loving you Liz Parker, whether you want me to, or not. Theres no way of getting away from me"

I smile. "Yeah, sure. Let's go" I say with a smile. I grab my coat and head out towards the Jeep.

As we get into the jeep, "Do you think it's safe to leave Michael alone with maria?? I don't think he'll be able to leave but what if he does?" I looked at Max, at hopefully he had an answer to my torment of being conserned for others.
