I cup his face in my hands and make him look at me.
"Don't say that Max. I know you couldn't have done anything more. You saved Isabel's life. You couldn't have done anything more Max. You did your best. And were all so grateful that you did. Never think that its your fault" I tell him.
I look into his beautiful eyes...God I just want to kiss him....my hands are trembling...

My hand is on the doorknob but I can't turn it....not when Isabel is crying.
Letting go of the knob I walk over to her and gather her into my arms.
