"I'll go out and meet her and tell her you've gone home." With that I walked out onto the balcony

"Hey Gertrude!If you are looking for Alex he went home...he said he wasn't feeling well all of a sudden." I said trying to be serious

Eveyln:

A head peaked in from the door, "Johnny is that you?" I smiled as he came into full view, and he was holding the door open for someone else...my mind immediatley thought of my Sweet Maxwell, but was suprised when it was a young lady. "Girlfriend?" I asked quietly to him as he came closer to me to give me a hug.

John:
"No...not mine, but Maxwells.." I smiled.

Eveyln:
"Oh my... Come here child...anyone who can snag my maxwell diserves a hug!!" I smiled excitly as she came closer to me.

Billy{CHILD IN HOSPITAL}:

"Where's Max? He promised he'd be here tonight...he always comes..." The child said close to tears.

John:

I looked at Liz then back at Eveyln before confronting the child and every child for that matter. "Yes, I know he gave you his word, but he's not feeling well today and couldn't come in, but he sent us here instead....and he brought everyone gifts to make up for it...But he will be back next week, he made sure I tell you guys that...And I believe this is for you Billy." I reached in the bag and pulled out a romote control tonka truck.

Billy:

"Oh...this is so cool, I've always wanted one of these!!" He jumped up an down excitedly.

Eveyln:

"Thank you Johnny...but as soon as you had out the gifts make sure they are asleep, they need there rest..." I sighed at looked back at the girl. "Come Child...we can talk better outside..." I smiled.

John:

I smiled at her and handed her the letter once more and she accepted it with open arms. "Don't worry I'll be out in a bit..." I smiled reasurring. "NOW WHO WANTS THERE GIFT?" He shouted as the children came rushing at him almost knocking him down in the process.

"Aleeeeex?" I call out. But nothing. I'm starting to get a little annoyed. Who was that who whisked off my Aleeeex anyway? That girl.
"Hey Gertrude!
I look up to see that girl, standing on a balcony calling out to me.

If you are looking for Alex he went home...he said he wasn't feeling well all of a sudden."

"Oh! My pooor baby!" I say. "Well, okay...can we talk?" I say as I already walk up the creaking steps. "Why were yoouu and myyy Alexxx so close?" I ask knowing that she knew what I meant.

What audacity...I thought to myself

"Well that is really between Alex and me" I said trying to keep the icey tone out of my voice "now if you'll excuse me I have some correspondence to catch up on."

With that I turned aorund and headed back towards my balcony door.

Okay that is enough,who does she think she is...I swiftly turned around,hands on my hips "Why don't we let Alex decide who his fiance is or isn't!" I snapped not meaning for it to come out quite so rudely

"He's old enough to know what he wants." I added in a kinder tone
