Chapter 1a
A/N - Ok I dont know about this fic! I kind of came with this idea after listening to a song I heard! So please tell me what ya think! This isnt all of Chapter one! I had more but My Comp was being a pain and decided not to save it! So There will be a Chapter 1 b! Thanks and enjoy!
Maria Deluca walked down the halls In her mini skirt and Knee High boots and Here Spagetti Strap top. All the guys were gacking at her, but she pain them no attention. She went to her locker quickly put in her combination. She knew That Kyle Valenti would be here at any moment. She absolutely hated Kyle valenti. She turned and There he was.
“Hello Hot thing” Kyle said.
“Kyle How many times Did I tell you, not interested” Maria said walking away. Kyle followed her like a Puppy with his tongue hanging out of his mouth.
“ What is it with you? I mean every Guy wants a piece of you and you turn them down your not a ...:” Maria turned and glared at him.
“Well is that you think? Because I am not! And dont be going around school telling everyone that either” Maria said walking away.
She walked into her room and sat in her usual seat. Home room was so boring, they never did anything. So she used the opportunity to catch up on her homework or her song writing. She pulled out her notebook and started writing. she felt a shoulder tap. She turned and Saw Liz parkers smiling face.
“hey” Maria whispered.
“Hey you know This whole Little Miss Independent act is getting old. Several guys have asked you out and you turned them down” Liz said.
“ Liz you will never understand” Maria said as she continued to write.
“ is it because of what happened between your mother and father?” Liz asked.
“No its not , ok you and me have been best friends for a like ever right?”
“right” Liz said.
“Right now your stepping over the best friend boundries” Maria said as she Scribbled some words down on paper. It was true. Maria did want a guy but she waiting for that right one to come along. She didnt want to end like her mother. Who ended up with a loser. She wanted to be free and independent for a while. She had more things to worry about , like her music, school and much more. The door of classroom walked in and maria looked. His eyes locked with hers. She felt something. Something she never felt before.
“class this a new student, Michael guerin. Everyone say hi” Mr Martin said. Everyone said and He took a seat by Maria. Maria Felt unusually nervous all of sudden. He glanced at her and smiled. He had the most amazing eyes. Maria Slumped down in her seat. ' He's probably just every other guy. He's already staring me down' Maria thought as she continued to write.
When Home room ended. Michael caught up with Maria in the hall.
“Hi I'm michael guerin” he said handing out his hand hoping that maria would shake.
“ I'm Maria Deluca and before you say another word I'm not interested” Maria said.
“ I was being friendly.” michael said.
“Friendly? Most Guys here arent friendly with me” Maria said.
“Well I'm not like most guys” Michael said with a smile. Maria bit her lip and smiled.
“really? Well We will see about that” Maria said walking away.
“So does that mean your interested?” Michael yelled as she walked down the hall. Maria turned and smiled and replied “ No” Liz came running up to her.
“He's so into you Ria” She said.
“ Liz I told you I have more important things to think about then guys”
“ Oh yeah I forgot like your music. I know music is important to Ria But you need some true love and happiness in your Life some time” Liz said walking away. ' maybe she's right' Maria thought as she walked into her next class.

Chapter 1b

Maria just wanted this day to end. She looked over and saw michael sitting at her table with Liz. She went over to table and sat down.
“hey ria this is...” Maria stopped her from saying any more.
“Michael guerin I know we met” Maria said with a smile.
“ohh, well Michael is new so I'm kindof filling him on how things go here in west roswell High” Liz said smiling.
“Great” maria said as she pulled out her notebook and started writing.
“Is she always like this?” michael asked Liz.
“Umm yeah basically” Liz said.
“you know I am right here I can hear everything you say” maria said not looking up.
“You know what? I'm going to go get a soda want one?” She asked Michael.
“Sure” michael said. Michael Moved over beside Maria.
“Didnt I tell you I was not interested?” Maria said.
“I dont give up easily” Michael said laughing.
“I see that” Maria said shutting her notebook.
“So...Liz told me you sing” Michael said.
“Well Liz has a big mouth” maria said.
“ I would love to hear you sing” He said.
“Really?” She said.
“yeah really” he said.
“ Your the first guy who has actually said that to me”
“Do I get brownie Points Now?” Michael said laughing.
“Definetly” Maria said smiling. Liz came back to the table. She seen Maria smiling. She hadnt seen Maria smiling Like that in a long time.
“So are you two getting to know each other” Liz asked. Maria gave her a half smile.
“maybe” She said. The rest of the lunch hour Maria, Liz and Michael were actually laughing and having fun. When Lunch was over Michael followed Maria out into the hall.
“So When can I hear you sing?” he asked.
“ I'll let you know” Maria said walking down the hall with a smile. Liz took her by the arm and pulled her into the girls bathroom. Liz wanted to know what was going on.
“ok he is definetly into you” Liz said smiling.
“Liz your reading things wrong” Maria said.
“Why dont you two hook up. I mean he seems like a great guy. He doesnt seem like some of the jerks that are here.” liz said.
“I'm not hooking up with him.” Maria said as she left the bathroom.
“Well if you dont I'll find someone who will. Heck I might hook up with him he's kind of cute.”
“Liz, Shutup! Were going to be late for class” maria said as she left the bathroom.
That night -
Maria Stood up on the makeshift Stage the 'pizza pan' resturant had for kareoke. Every night she would sing kareoke. And the owners son of the pizza pan playe guitar and sometimes played with her while she sang. She was kind of like the entertainment for the place. As she started to sing She looked up and saw Michael Guerin walking in. He sat right in the front row. Suddenly she had butterflies in her stomach. The words Flowed From her Voice so Smoothly.
Grew up in a small town

When her Song ended The whole Place appluaded. Michael followed her into the back of the resturant.
“So you wanted to hear me sing there you go” Maria said.

“ Did you write that song?” Michael asked. Maria smiled at him softly.
“Yeah” Maria replied.
“Thats Amazing” Michael said.
“Well your the only guy who thinks so.”Maria said as she quickly left. Michael followed her out the door.
“ So your telling me No guy has ever said your Amazing?” Michael asked.
“yes and why are you doing this? Usually when guys talk to me they only want one thing. And usually they are creeps” Maria said as she kept walking.
“When I walked into that classroom and you looked At me I saw something. Your different from the rest of the girls. Look I'm not like the jerks At west roswell. And I was wondering if you wanted to do something this weekend? Thats if your not too busy wowing crowds at a pizza place” Michael said laughing. Maria stopped and Faced him. She smiled. She was about say no. But then before she knew it she was saying something completely different.
“Ok sure” She said.
When she got home, she realized what she had just said. She had said yes to guy. A guy that was completely different from the rest who try to Hook up with her. She smiled and bit her lip. Maybe she was falling for him. She Definetly felt something. Something she couldnt explain. Maybe she was changing. 'Change is always good' Maria Thought to herself.

Chapter 2a
Maria Never had so much fun in her life. She tossed the bowling Ball Down the lane. She missed The pins Completely. Michael laughed and walked passed her to take his turn.
“Dont laugh at me” Maria said smiling.
“You really suck at this” Michael said.
“Your not any better!” she yelled.
“I bet you ten bucks I can Make a s trike” he said smiling as he went to toss The ball down the lane.
“You better keep Your end the bet” She s aid watching him toss the ball. He tossed the ball and completely missed.
“yes! You owe me ten bucks” Maria said with a smile.
“Ok well How About I use the ten bucks to get you a burger or something” He said with a smile.
“That will do” She said following him to the little cafe that was in bowling alley. After they had Their burgers and fries and they finished their game, Michael pulled up in front Of Maria's House. They were quiet for a moment in the car.
“I had fun” Maria said softly.
“yeah so did I” Michael replied with a smile.
“Well umm...goodnight” Maria said as she started to get out of the car. Michael stopped her. He Grabbed her arm.
“Wait” He said.
“What?” She said looking into his eyes. He leaned in and kissed her. He felt like it was the perfect time. 'what the hell now or never ' he thought to himself.
“Goodnight” he said softly upon her lips. Maria smiled and Hopped out of the car and ran up to her house. She opened the front door and walked in. Maria Leaned against the door of her house. She had a smile from ear to ear. Her mother peeped her head around the corner.
“your home” She said with a smile.
“yeah” maria said smiling.
“And?” Amy delcua asked her daughter.
“What?” Maria said.
“So Give me the details” She said setting on the couch waiting for her to spill the details.
“ Ok” maria said as she sat down and was excited to tell her mother about her date.
“Wow he seems Nice” Amy deluca said.
“He's different mom” Maria said.
“Really, well how about you bring him over for dinner” Amy said with a smile.
“That would be cool, Tomorrow night?” Maria asked.
“Yep I cant wait to meet him” Amy deluca said. Maria went up to her room with a smile upon her face. This was the first time she had ever felt like this with a guy. Maria Put her PJ's on and hopped into bed. She couldnt get the date out of her mind and The way she was feeling.

Maria walked down the hall toward her Locker. Michael approached her. She was glad to see him. Because she wanted to tell him that her mother wanted to meet him.
"hey" Maria said softly.
"Hey" Michael said softly.
"So..umm do you want to come over tonight and have dinner with my mom and me. She wants to meet you and she is an somewhat amazing cook when she doesnt burn the food" Maria said laughing. Michael laughed and Replied "Sure"
"Great, My house 7pm" Maria said with a smile.
"I'll be there" Michael said as they both heard the bell rang for next class. Maria Felt giddy and nervous all at the same time. She walked into class and sat in her usual seat. she couldnt think, all she could think about was ,michael and what her mother was going to say or do tonight at dinner. Michael walked into class and sat in his seat, Kyle valenti tapped him on the shoulder.
"So are you going with little hot miss vixen deluca" Kyle asked waiting for his reply.
"Why do you ask" Michael asked.
"Let me give you some tips. You see she is a firecracker. I would watch her if I was you" Kyle said.
"I happen to like her, and I dont tips on dating from Mindless jocks who think they know everything" Michael replied.
"Ouch!" Kyle said as he laid back in his seat. Courtney Petrillio Sat across from Michael. She kept eying him every second like he was a piece of meat or something. And she was waiting to devour him at any moment.
When Lunch came around, Liz pulled Maria by the arm and dragged her over to their table.
"So any hot gossip or anything I need to know about today" Liz asked with raised eyebrows as she sat down and pulled out her bagged lunch.
"nope and if there was it would be none of your business" maria said. Liz looked over and saw Michael and flagged him down. He sat across from maria at the table. Maria gave him a smile.
"So Guerin anything I need to know today" Liz asked bitting a carrot stick.
"Well I told that jerk Kyle valenti off In class today" Michael said as he started gulping down a snapple tea.
"Ohh do tell what happened" Liz said curiously.
" Well he was running his mouth and I told Him I dont listen to mindless Jocks that dont know what they are talking about" Maria laughed and smiled.
"Did anyone ever tell you have a beautiful smile" Michael asked. Maria felt shy all of sudden and looked down.
" Ohh well this looks like one of those Its time for me to get up and get a cherry coke kind of moments" Liz said with smile and winked at maria and slowly went to the coke machine. She put her money and got a coke and Courtney patrillio came up to her.
"Those to look so cute together" She said with an evil smile.
"yeah" Liz said curiously.
" After a While they wont look so cute" Courtney said as she tossed her Fake blond hair.
"Whats that suppose to mean" Liz asked.
"Oh you'll see" She said with a smile.
"Really, Let me tell you something. If you come between them your going to have to go through me first Ok" Liz said with a giggle and tossed her hair and walked away. ' grr! i hate her' liz thought as she walked back to the table. maria And Michael were laughing and obviously having a good time.
" So what did Miss Courtney Petrillio have to say" maria asked.
"Nothing really, she had to stop and talk about herself and how amazing she is. I was about ready to pull that fake blond hair out of her little head" Liz said. Maria laughed.
That night -
Amy Deluca was rushing around in the kitchen. Maria came into the kitchen and saw her mother running around like a chicken with her head cut off. Maria looked over and noticed the smoke coming from the oven.
"Mom!" She reached and over and opened the oven, smoke came pouring out.
"Oh god!" amy said pulling out the burnt chicken.
"Oh God, I hope Michael likes take out" She said she started choking from the smoke.
Maria, michael and amy sat in the living Muching On chinesse food that they had ordered from senior chows.
"This is great" michael said as he ate.
"It was either that or my burnt chicken" Amy said laughing.
"trust me pretending to eat burnt chicken isnt fun" maria said laughing.
"Oh man I'm stuffed, I think I am done for the night. Why dont you two go Out and get some Ice cream or something" Amy said handing maria some money.
" That would be great" Michael said smiling.
"Eat lots of it for me. And Michael, I really Like you and I think your going to be the best thing in Maria's Life. you two have fun" Amy said as she hugged her daughter and then Hugged michael and went upstairs.'
Michael and maria walked down the street eating ice cream cones. maria was enjoying herself for the first time in a long time.
"So I hope you liked My mom" maria said as she took a lick of her ice cream.
"I did, she's amazing women. And she is beautiful like you" Maria Blushed.
" Thank you" Maria said with a smile.
When they got back to maria's House. Maria stood there sliently with michael.
"Well I better go in" She said softly.
"Wait, not yet ot until I do this" Michael said as he took her hand in his and leaned in to kiss her. He softly bruished his lips across hers. Maria wanted more. She let him take the first step now she was going to take the second. she wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed him passionetly. The next thing she knew the outside light came on. Maria pulled away.
" thats my cue" Maria not letting go of him.
"Ok" he said not lettinhg go of her.
"One of us has to go" Maria said.
"Ok goodnight" Michael said as he pulled a way and walked back to his car. Maria went inside and leaned against the door and felt like she was floating on air. she went into the kitchen and saw her mother. She looked over and saw someone she hadnt seen in so long.
"Dad" Maria said softly.

"Really, Let me tell you something. If you come between them your going to have to go through me first Ok" Liz said with a giggle and tossed her hair and walked away. ' grr! i hate her' liz thought as she walked back to the table. maria And Michael were laughing and obviously having a good time.
" So what did Miss Courtney Petrillio have to say" maria asked.
"Nothing really, she had to stop and talk about herself and how amazing she is. I was about ready to pull that fake blond hair out of her little head" Liz said. Maria laughed.
That night -
Amy Deluca was rushing around in the kitchen. Maria came into the kitchen and saw her mother running around like a chicken with her head cut off. Maria looked over and noticed the smoke coming from the oven.
"Mom!" She reached and over and opened the oven, smoke came pouring out.
"Oh god!" amy said pulling out the burnt chicken.
"Oh God, I hope Michael likes take out" She said she started choking from the smoke.
Maria, michael and amy sat in the living Muching On chinesse food that they had ordered from senior chows.
"This is great" michael said as he ate.
"It was either that or my burnt chicken" Amy said laughing.
"trust me pretending to eat burnt chicken isnt fun" maria said laughing.
"Oh man I'm stuffed, I think I am done for the night. Why dont you two go Out and get some Ice cream or something" Amy said handing maria some money.
" That would be great" Michael said smiling.
"Eat lots of it for me. And Michael, I really Like you and I think your going to be the best thing in Maria's Life. you two have fun" Amy said as she hugged her daughter and then Hugged michael and went upstairs.'
Michael and maria walked down the street eating ice cream cones. maria was enjoying herself for the first time in a long time.
"So I hope you liked My mom" maria said as she took a lick of her ice cream.
"I did, she's amazing women. And she is beautiful like you" Maria Blushed.
" Thank you" Maria said with a smile.
When they got back to maria's House. Maria stood there sliently with michael.
"Well I better go in" She said softly.
"Wait, not yet ot until I do this" Michael said as he took her hand in his and leaned in to kiss her. He softly bruished his lips across hers. Maria wanted more. She let him take the first step now she was going to take the second. she wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed him passionetly. The next thing she knew the outside light came on. Maria pulled away.
" thats my cue" Maria not letting go of him.
"Ok" he said not lettinhg go of her.
"One of us has to go" Maria said.
"Ok goodnight" Michael said as he pulled a way and walked back to his car. Maria went inside and leaned against the door and felt like she was floating on air. she went into the kitchen and saw her mother. She looked over and saw someone she hadnt seen in so long.
"Dad" Maria said softly.

"What are you doing here?" maria asked. She hadnt seen him a while and she knew when ever he did come around he just wanted a place to stay or money.
"I just wanted to check up on my girls" he said softly with a smile.
"Your girls. Were not your girls" Maria said as she went up to her room. Amy followed her.
"Ria Sweetie" Amy said as she walked into the room and saw Maria laying on the bed.
"I had the most perfect night with the most perfect guy and Then he comes and everything is ruined" Maria said.
"I dont think your dad ruined your night. Your just making it that way" Amy said to her daughter.
" Mom dont let him back in, please, He Hurt us. He will always hurt us" Maria said.
" I know baby, I'll tell him to leave" Any said kissing the top of her daughters hair.
Amy went back down stairs. She really didnt want to deal with this. But she had to know why he was really here.
"OK Tell me what the hell you want and then leave" Amy said sternly.
"I dont want anything I just I wanted to Ria" He said.
"No you dont"

"No not here, I'm letting you back in" Amy said as she pulled him towards the door.

Maria Laid in her bed Thinking. She couldnt sleep. She clutched Her Pink bear tightly. Thinking about Michael made her more at ease. Suddenly she heard her phone ringing. She had her own phone line so she could talk without bothering her mom. She looked at the caller ID and noticed It said The Guerin Residence. She Quickly picked it up.
"Hello" She said into the phone.
"Hey, I didnt think you would be Up" Michael said into the phone.
"I couldnt sleep" She said softly.
"Me either" Michael said into the phone.
" you know...I..had an amzing night with you" he said.
"Did you" Maria said with a smile.
"yeah and I was wondering....if...maybe we could do it again."
"Definetly" maria said excitedly into the phone.
" Good. Your Like No ther Girl Out there Your Different from the other girls and thats what i like about you" He said.

"yeah really"
" No one has ever said that to me before" Maria said as she rolled over on her side with the cordless phone in her ear. Maria and Michael talked half the night. She didnt want to hang Up the phone she wanted to talk to him all night. he some how made everything better.
"We better Go its 2am" Michael said softly.
"I dont want to go" Maria said softly.
"We have school tomorrow"
"So" Maria said softly as she felt sleep come over her.
"your tired I can hear it in your beautiful Voice"

"Sweet dreams" Maria hung the phone up and fell right to sleep.
The next day -
Maria couldnt stop thinking about the kiss. She started spacing out. Suddenly the bell rang for the next class period. Maria suddenly came back to reality. As she walked down the hall Noticed Michael with courtney. maria walked up to them.
"hey" maria said with a smile.
"hey Ria" courtney said innocenntly.
" Whats going On" Maria asked.
"Nothing I was just asking michael if he wanted to come to my party tonight" Courtney said with a smile.
"really" Maria said looking down.
"Yeah But remember Maria we have plans tonight" Michael said looking at her.
"We do" Maria looked at him confused.
"yeah remember we have this thing."
"Oh yeah...this thing at my..house" Maria said. Courtney looked at them funny.
"Oh ok, well when you get done with this thing maybe you could stop by" Courtney said. The last bell suddenly rang.
"if you get a chance stop by" Courtney handed with an invitation.
"umm yeah" Michael said as courtney quickly hurried down the hall.
During Lunch Maria tapped her pen on the notebook trying to come up with something to write. But all she could think about was michael. Michael came over and sat across from her.
" So what time am I coming over" Michael asked.
"what" Maria asked coming back to reality.
"For our thing tonight" Michael said with a smile.
"Oh right" Maria said as she started doodling on her paper.
" Are you mad" Michael asked.
"No what could I possibly be mad about" Maria asked.
"That courtney invited me to her party."
"No" Maria said.
" I dont Like courtney if thats what your thinking. I would rather prefer the girl who's sitting in front of me" Michael said with a smile.
" Come by around 7" Maria said with a smile.

Later that Night -
Maria tossed Michael a can of soda and plopped down on the couch next to him. She Started flipping through the channels on the tv.
"you cant keep it on one channel can you" Michael saud grabbing the remote.
"100 channels and nothing is on" Maria said as she jept pushing the channel button on the remote.
"good thing I rented some movies. Scary, romantic and funny. i prefer something scary" michael said popping in the video.
" If I scream I am blaming you" Maria said. The movie started and Maria curled up on the couch. There was parts in the movie that caused maria to jump. She scooted closer to michael and started clinging to him. She practically Had her nails digging into his arm.
"Nails" Michael said.
"Oh sorry" Maria said as she loosened her grip. Michael liked the closeness. She was close he could smell her skin. It smelled like vanilla and it was very inticing.
"This is the good part" Michael said whispered in her ear.
"i cant look" Maria said.
"Its not that scary." Michael said as she came closer. She covered her face a pillow.
"your missing the best part" Michael said pulling the pillow away from her face.
"I cant watch!" She yelled.
"Ok cover your eyes and I'll tell you when its over" Michael said. The scene was almost over and Michael pulled her hands from her face. Maria screamed and Punched him in the shoulder.
"hey!" Maria yelled.
"Sorry! I had to!" Maria smacked him with the pillow.
"Oh no you didnt" Michael said as he took the other pillow and smacked her. Before they knew it they were having a pillow fight through the house. Michael chased maria back through the living room. He grabbed her and pinned her to the floor.
" let go of me!" Maria yelled.
" Not until you give up" Michael said.
"Ok I give up" Maria said. Michael didnt get up. Before Maria knew what she was doing she wrapped her arms around his neck. he leaned in to kiss her. As he was leaning in to kiss her, He heard Amy Deluca comign down the stairs.
"Michael its late and..." Michael quickly got and brushed himslef off.
"yeah sorry I lost track of time" Michael said looking over at maria.
"I'll walk you out" maria said.
they both walked outside to michael's car. Michael leaned against the car and stared at Maria.
"What" Maria asked.
"I better go" He said.
"yeah you better But not until I do this" maria leaned in and kissed him softly.
"Goodnight" Maria said with a smile. Maria ran up to her room and quickly started writing. By the next Morning she had at least four new song lyrics.
later that day -
Maria Quickly went to answer the Door. Seth walked in with a guitar on his shoulder.
"You seem awfully giddy today" Seth replied.
"yeah I have four new songs I need you to work with me on" Maria said as jumped up and down.
"Cool Let me read" Maria handed The words to each song she had wrote to him on paper. Seth sat down on the couch and started reading. When he read through them he was amazed.

When Maria Got Home her mother saw her face. She hugged her daughter tightly.

Chapter 4
It was sickening to courtney to see michael and maria hanging all over each other. She hated it. She hated it when she couldnt get what she wanted. She furiously flipped through the magazine trying not to pay attention to them. Kyle came up to her and sat down across from her.
"Whats your prob?" He asked taking the magazine from her.
"Nothing. Just nothing" Courtney said. He looked over to see what Courtney was looking at.
"Oh I see" He said with a smile.
"Shutup" Courtney said.
" I'll make a deal with you" Kyle asked with a smirk. Courtney was interested.
"What kind of Deal?" She asked with a smile.
Maria Couldnt stop smiling. Michael reached over and brushed her hair from her face. The smallest gesture from him made her smile even more.
"So whats on the agenda for tonight?" Michael asked.
"Ummm studying, studying, and more studying" Maria said bumped out now because she hated studying.
"Want a study partner?" Michael asked. Maria smiled.
"That would be great as long as he isnt a distraction from what were suppose to be studying" Maria said as she took a bite of her apple.
"Ohhh....HE wont be a distraction as long she isnt a distraction from him" Michael said with a smile.
"What! You think I'm a distraction?" Maria said with an innocent smile.
"Of course! with that beautiful voice and beatiful smile how can you not be a distraction" Michael said laughing as he took a french fry off her plate.
" So.... Does that mean we have a study date tonight?" Maria asked.
"of course" Michael said. The bell rang and michael quickly grabbed his stuff.
"I'll see you tonight" He said as he kissed her quickly on the cheek.
Maria came home from school and threw her stuff down on the couch. She plopped down the couch exhausted from school. She grabbed her cell and was ready to call michael when she heard a noise coming from upstairs. She followed the noise into her mothers room. She peeped inside and saw her mother with her father. She was in shock and horror she dropped her phone and it hit the ground with a thud. It caught both her mothers and fathers attention. They both looked at her. She looked down grabbed her phone and quickly went back down stairs.
"Ria" Her mother yelled. She grabbed her bag and headed out the door. She was so upset she didnt know what to think or do. She ended up on michael's door step. She was in tears as knocked furiously on the door.
"Ok!" Michael said as he opened the door and saw the crying maria.
"Maria?" He asked.
Maria Sat there on the couch with tears in her eyes. Michael handed her a box of tissues.
"What happened?" he asked.
" I...dont want to talk about it" Maria said.
"Well obviously you didnt come over here to just tell me you dont want to talk about it. Now you either tell me or I'll get it out of you some how. I hate seeing you cry" he said drying her tears away with his thumb.
"I told her Not to let him stay there! I told her!" maria yelled. Michael looked at her confused.
"Told who?" He asked.
"My mother. I told her not to let my dad stay there. And I find them in bed together!" Maria yelled.
"Maybe you should talk to your mom about this" Michael said.
" I cant. My father has hurt us and He's just here to hurt us again" maria said crying.
"Stop crying baby please" Michael said holding her.
"I cant help it I hate him with a passion for what he did to me and my mother" Maria said.
"What can I do to make you feel better?" Michael whispered in her ear.
" Just be here" Maria said.
"I am and always will be" he said kissing her softly. Kissing michael made her feel a whole alot better.
" I'm ok now" Maria said drying her eyes.
"Are you sure? Because if kissing you makes it all better I'm all for it" michael said laughing. Maria laughed and smiled.
"Now thats the smile I want to see" he said touching her face. Maria fell asleep on the couch with Michael. The slamming of the front door from his parents coming in abruptly woke him up.
"Michael Kitchen now. Maria Its late" Mrs Guerin said.
" I'll walk you out" Michael said. they stood outside for a moment.
" I'm sorry I got you in trouble with your parents" maria said.

"Ok" She whispered. michael went back inside and faced his parents.
It was sickening to courtney to see michael and maria hanging all over each other. She hated it. She hated it when she couldnt get what she wanted. She furiously flipped through the magazine trying not to pay attention to them. Kyle came up to her and sat down across from her.
"Whats your prob?" He asked taking the magazine from her.
"Nothing. Just nothing" Courtney said. He looked over to see what Courtney was looking at.
"Oh I see" He said with a smile.
"Shutup" Courtney said.
" I'll make a deal with you" Kyle asked with a smirk. Courtney was interested.
"What kind of Deal?" She asked with a smile.
Maria Couldnt stop smiling. Michael reached over and brushed her hair from her face. The smallest gesture from him made her smile even more.
"So whats on the agenda for tonight?" Michael asked.
"Ummm studying, studying, and more studying" Maria said bumped out now because she hated studying.
"Want a study partner?" Michael asked. Maria smiled.
"That would be great as long as he isnt a distraction from what were suppose to be studying" Maria said as she took a bite of her apple.
"Ohhh....HE wont be a distraction as long she isnt a distraction from him" Michael said with a smile.
"What! You think I'm a distraction?" Maria said with an innocent smile.
"Of course! with that beautiful voice and beatiful smile how can you not be a distraction" Michael said laughing as he took a french fry off her plate.
" So.... Does that mean we have a study date tonight?" Maria asked.
"of course" Michael said. The bell rang and michael quickly grabbed his stuff.
"I'll see you tonight" He said as he kissed her quickly on the cheek.
Maria came home from school and threw her stuff down on the couch. She plopped down the couch exhausted from school. She grabbed her cell and was ready to call michael when she heard a noise coming from upstairs. She followed the noise into her mothers room. She peeped inside and saw her mother with her father. She was in shock and horror she dropped her phone and it hit the ground with a thud. It caught both her mothers and fathers attention. They both looked at her. She looked down grabbed her phone and quickly went back down stairs.
"Ria" Her mother yelled. She grabbed her bag and headed out the door. She was so upset she didnt know what to think or do. She ended up on michael's door step. She was in tears as knocked furiously on the door.
"Ok!" Michael said as he opened the door and saw the crying maria.
"Maria?" He asked.
Maria Sat there on the couch with tears in her eyes. Michael handed her a box of tissues.
"What happened?" he asked.
" I...dont want to talk about it" Maria said.
"Well obviously you didnt come over here to just tell me you dont want to talk about it. Now you either tell me or I'll get it out of you some how. I hate seeing you cry" he said drying her tears away with his thumb.
"I told her Not to let him stay there! I told her!" maria yelled. Michael looked at her confused.
"Told who?" He asked.
"My mother. I told her not to let my dad stay there. And I find them in bed together!" Maria yelled.
"Maybe you should talk to your mom about this" Michael said.
" I cant. My father has hurt us and He's just here to hurt us again" maria said crying.
"Stop crying baby please" Michael said holding her.
"I cant help it I hate him with a passion for what he did to me and my mother" Maria said.
"What can I do to make you feel better?" Michael whispered in her ear.
" Just be here" Maria said.
"I am and always will be" he said kissing her softly. Kissing michael made her feel a whole alot better.
" I'm ok now" Maria said drying her eyes.
"Are you sure? Because if kissing you makes it all better I'm all for it" michael said laughing. Maria laughed and smiled.
"Now thats the smile I want to see" he said touching her face. Maria fell asleep on the couch with Michael. The slamming of the front door from his parents coming in abruptly woke him up.
"Michael Kitchen now. Maria Its late" Mrs Guerin said.
" I'll walk you out" Michael said. they stood outside for a moment.
" I'm sorry I got you in trouble with your parents" maria said.

“Hey ria!” Her father said as he hugged her tightly.
“Get away from me !” Maria yelled as she pushed him off her.
“Didn’t you miss your daddy?” He said.
“Why would I miss someone who was never there for me” maria said.
“Maria” her mother said.
“Don’t mom. He’s just going to hurt us and leave again! I bet you he is only here to get one thing. And when he gets it he will be gone.” Maria said looking her father up down.
“Maria stop talking like that! He is clean and getting help” Her mother said.
“Sure I bet!” maria said as she ran upstairs to her room. Maria plopped down at her desk chair and opened her lap top she bought with her own money she had saved up for two years. She logged on to the internet and soon there was a message from Michael. It popped up the moment she logged on.

Maria noticed that Liz had logged on. Suddenly a messaged popped up from Liz.
Smartypantsparker16: So are you talking to Michael?
RiaLoves2sing16: yes I am. Talking to him makes me feel so better.

There was a soft knock on the bedroom door. Maria looked up and saw he father standing in the door way.
“ And what do you want?” She asked closing her lap top.
“ Im here to stay” He said.
“ No your not” Maria said.
“ Why are you being so hostile? Im clean. I havent been high in weeks” he said.
“Sure that’s what you said the last time before you took all of our money and went on a drug binge” Maria said.
“ I’ve been in rehab all this time” he said.
“ You’re a liar! Get out of my room!” Maria yelled.
“We need to talk about this” Her father said,
“I want nothing to do with you!” Maria yelled.
“Look I am trying to makeup for things” He said.
“yeah its just a little too late for that” Maria said as she started to feel tears stinging her face. This was a good time to the words to a new song.
“I want everything to be right between us”He said.
“get out!” maria yelled as she slammed the door on his face.
“maria! Please don’t shut me out!” her father yelled through the door.
That later night -
Maria couldn’t sleep, she got dressed and snuck out of her house. She ended up at Michael’s. She looked into the bedroom window and seen Michael laying on his bed staring at the ceiling. She slightly tapped on the window. Michael was startled and turned the light on. He see maria at the window.
“What are you doing?” he asked.
“Can I come in” Maria said.
“yeah just be quiet I don’t want my parents knowing you’re here” Michael said helping her through the window.
“I couldn’t sleep” maria said as she entered his room.
“ Me either” Michael said as he pulled on a shirt. They ended up staying up all night and talking. Maria practically poured her heart and soul out to Michael. She felt so comfortable around him. He made her feel safe, he made her feel like she could trust him.
“I better go” Maria said softly. She started to leave but Michael stopped her.
“I really don’t…want you to go” He said softly as he held her hand.
“ I…don’t want to go either” Maria said looking up at him.
Michael leaned in and kissed her softly. He loved kissing her she had the softest lips. Maria pulled away knowing this would go to far.
“I have to go” Maria said but she couldn’t move.
“Then why arent you moving” he asked touching her face wanting her even more now then ever. Maria kissed him again and they were heating up. Michael started to take off her shirt. Maria wanted him more then anything. She felt so wonderful. He looked over her beautiful body. He stopped for a moment and looked at her.
“do you want this?” he asked.
“Yes. Im….nervous This is my first time” maria said.
“Mine too” Michael said softly. They passionately kissed once again. And Michael pulled her onto the bed and They slowly started making love to each for the first time. Every touch was like fire to maria. She couldn’t get enough. They slowly moved in a perfect rythmn like they were fitted perfect for each other.
“Michael” Maria said softly.
“Am..I hurting you?” He asked .
“No…don’t…stop” Maria said as she kissed him. Michael couldn’t get enough of her she smelled so wonderful and her body felt so good against his. And every time she moaned in pleasure it made him want her more. Finally there love making slowed down and They slowly fell asleep in each others arms.
The next morning -
Mrs Guerin knocked on her sons bedroom door. Michael was pulled out of his deep sleep by his mothers banging on the door.
“Michael Guerin it is noon on a Saturday get up!” She yelled. Michael looked over and noticed maria was gone.
“Mom! Give me a break!” He said.
“Your dad wants you to clean out the garage today!” His mother said through the door.
“Yeah yeah yeah” Michael said .
“Get your lazy butt up!” She yelled again.
“ok mom!” Michael yelled. He laid back down and relived the wonderful moment him and maria shared.
“Ria what is up with you” Liz asked flipping through the magazine on her bed.

“Its like your glowing or something” Liz said.
“Glowing?” Maria asked looking at herself.
“Did something happened?” She asked.
“Well…yeah” Maria said.
“ like what?” Liz asked.
“Well..Umm. I went over to Michael’s last night” Maria started to say.
“Ohhh really” Liz said interested.
“And we kind of….had sex” Maria said. Liz’s mouth dropped.
“What! What about pact! Remember that!” Liz yelled.
“It sort of just happened “ Maria said sitting next to her on the bed.
“Really? What was it like?” Liz asked.
“It…was nice…amazing and perfect” maria said.

“yeah. Did you use protection?” Liz asked. Uh oh! Maria thought it happened and It didn’t dawn on them to even use protection.

“You didn’t use protection! Oh my god maria!” Liz yelled.
“ It just happened We didn’t even think about it” Maria said.
“What if your mom finds out” Liz asked. Maria wasn’t worried about that.

“I don’t know I left before he had a chance to wake up” maria said.

“Go talk to him! This is big! Sex changes everything between people” Liz said.
