Nicholas paced in the small cell that he was locked in. He knew that his sister was some where on the base. He didn’t know where for sure. But at lest he knew that she was safe. He was lost in thought and didn’t notice when someone walked up to the cell until they spoke.
“Nicky?”
“Raya! Your safe.”
“Yeah. Why did you betray Kivar? I mean I thought you believed that he was the right leader for Antar.”
“Raya you are more importuned to me than anything else.”
“I’m not a little girl any more Nicky.”
“I know. You have grown into a beautiful woman.”
“Nicky would Kivar really kill me if he finds me?”
“Yeah he would. He wants Serena dead too. The only reason he won’t kill Liz or her kids is because she has the seal of the Queen of Antar, and her kids are the heirs to the throne.”
“I met Liz before coming here. She seems nice.”
“Raya I want you to do whatever Max and Liz want you too. I want what’s best for you. Raya the fact is I am a traitor and I will most likely die because of it.”
“Nicky you are the only family that I have. I don’t know my dad and mom is dead.”
“I know. I don’t know who your dad is other than he is from Earth.”
“That’s all I know too.”
“Raya I’m sure that whoever your father is he’s a good guy. You’re a good person. But I think it’s time that you leave. The prison isn’t the place for you.”
“Nicky I don’t want to leave.”
“You got too. You don’t belong here.”
Raya wiped tears from her eyes as she turned to walk away. Nicholas watched her go. He knew that he was doing the right thing. He knew that his sister was better off without him in her life.
