Hey everyone Sorry i'm late with this! 2 new things, one is my banner!!(Its on the very first page) that i made all by my lonesome!! any feedback on it would be appreciated and other new thing, is this chapter hope you all enjoy!!!



Chapter 29

"I will have the granilith Max," Lonnie warned in a low voice. She and Max were now, nose to nose."Even if that means i have to take you down myself."
The level of energy in the room began to rise along with everyone's temper. It, was then, Tess realized her moment had come.No longer was the attention on her. Even her duplicate was far to enrapped in the unavoidble conflict brewiing in the podchamber. When the green energy field around Tess began to flicker, she closed her eyes in concentration.The moment her mind touched the others, she was bombarded with intense levels of anger and fear. Thoughts of impending violence flashed in her head. The intesity of it all temporarily winded Tess, and she sucked in a gasp. Her brow furrowed as she struggled through the minds around her.
Lonnie suddenly took a few steps back, then suddenly hurled an energy ball at Max, knocking him and Liz to the ground.It was then Ava's forcefield dropped completely, allowing Tess to sneak out without a hitch. She looked around cautiously, making sureeveryone was distracted. She then quickly opened the pod chamber door.
The momment Liz saw Tess looking around suspiciously, she knew somthing was wrong. Tess managed to walk right out of the podchamber without being noticed.Not even Max had noticed. Liz looked at Max puzzled."Max?" she whispered in his ear.and groaning as she began to get to her feet.Max saw the flash of concern in Liz's eyes."What is it Liz?" he asked as he helped her to her feet, immediatly putting up a protective green force field over them. Liz was about to speak when Michael hurled a green energy ball in retalitation at Lonnie and Rath. The force of the blast shook the inside of the pod chamber sending everyone, falling back to the ground.
"Liz!"Max exclaimed as he watched he once again fall painfully to the ground. As she hit the ground, Liz grunted in pain. Quickly Max scooped her back up on her feet."Ow!" Liz yelped softly. Liz forearm had been broken, and the bone protuded slightly.With a quick wave of his hand, Max healed Liz's broken arm.She smiled gently up at him."Thanks." she replied softly. Max nodded and returned her gentle smile.But sson Liz's tender smile was replaced with conviction. "Max, Tess has escaped! how come you didnt see it?" Suddenly all fight stopped in the podchamber as all eyes went to where Tess mindwarped them to see her. Max frowned "No, Liz she is still there see?" Max stated pointing, still under Tess's mindwarp. Liz shook her head. "No Max she's not. She's mindwarped you all into thinking she still there."
Lonnie, sneered at Liz. "Nice try hybrid wannabe! but your distraction isn't gonna work." and she turned and hurled another blast in Michaels direction, causing the podchamber to sake one more time. "Cover me!"Liz said suddenly.Max needed no explanation, he knew exactly what Liz's intentions were. Liz glared at Max sternly "Max, i saw her go! she put everyone under a mindwarp! Don't you believe me?" Her brown eyes pleaded with his to believe her. Max paused for a minute and then nodded. he then hurled a energy blast at Lonnie. The momment Isabel and michael's dupe was distracted, Liz bolted out the podchamber entrance.Liz had gotten a few yards away from chamber when she heard a voice call her name in a loud whisper. Hidden in the shadows of a corner was Future Max, restraining Tess, with his hand over her mouth. Future Max looked relieved to see her. "Thank God your alright! I had a vision, and i was sure you were.." Max let his voice trail off, not wanting to say the word. Liz smirked and arched an eyebrow at him "Dead?" she offered. Max looked at her sheepishly and nodded.
Tess looked wildly from future Max to Liz. There were three Maxs! either that or she was losing her mind. Tess had noticed that the one who held her captive was a bit older looking than the rest of them. Kyle stepped out from the shadows."Liz what the hell is going on here?" he demanded. Tess used the moment of surprized distraction to break free from Future Max's arms. She barely got a step away from them, when a green forcefield srrounded her. Tess turned to flash Future Max a nasty glare, when she was stunned to see, that the energy field was coming from Liz. "Going somewhere?" Liz asked enjoying Tess's realization.
Kyle looked at Liz to Max impatiently. "Well?" he asked folding his arms in front of his chest.
Liz bit her bottom lip. "Uh Kyle, This is Future Max." Kyle frowned at Liz "Ifigured out that part already, but why did he come back?" Liz glared angriliy at Tess. "Because in that other future, Tess and Max had a baby." Tess stiffened at Liz's words."And he with the help of Lonnie and Rath, bring about the end of the world." Kyle gave Liz an uncovinced look "And, him coming back helped...how?" Liz looked over at Max "Prvented the wrong woman fron having Max's baby."
Kyle still looked at them puzzled "So, no matter how Tess leaves Roswell she still wins?"
Kyle's question suddenly gave Liz an idea and she beamed as it came to the forefront of her mind. "Thats it! Kyle, your a genius!" Liz exclaimed as she rushed over and hugged him. "I am?" he asked. as he hugged her more confused than ever. Liz turned to Max "Max, no matter how Tess leaves, the end of the world comes to be, But what about when?" Max frowned "When?" Liz walked up to Max but then looked into Tess's eyes."Take her back with you."Liz suggested. Max still looked puzzled. "With me? back to my time?" Liz nodded "She'll be gone long enough, to prevent the end of the world from happening, and will be there, when your antarian enemies come!" Liz explained.Max looked down at Tess and frowned. He would rather see the spiteful blonde dead. He remembered the angry words he and Liz had shared a day or two after Alex's death.Seeing Liz that sad, had tore at his soul. Now Liz was suggesting to take Tess back to the world where he and Liz lived happily without Tess's memory haunting them? As if reading his thoughts, Liz sighed "I wont be angry if i am the one who asked you to bring her right?" she asked. Max gave her a crooked smile. She was right, the only person she could be mad at was herself.
Max nodded,"Okay, but you need to get everyone out of there especially Max, he cant see me Liz," Suddenly, the ground trembles causing everyone to lose their balance for a moment. Liz's eyes went wide with shock "Oh my god! Max!" she exclaims and she rushes back to the Chamber entrance. The door had closed behind her, but Liz examined the door loking for a way to pull it open. It was no use the door was sealed shut. Then suddenly an idea hit her. She was different now, maybe her hand could open the door, like it did for Max, Michael and Isabel. Liz waved her hand over the ara of the glowing handprint. The print glowed brightly as Liz's hand hovered over it.When Liz placed her hand down on the print, the chamber door slid open. Liz smiled happily to herself, she was beginning to like having these "powers" of hers.
When she stepped into the chamber, Liz's heart dropped. Everyone lay on the ground badly weakened. Lonnie and Rath both stood before Max power crackling in their hands. Liz felt a buzzing in her body as she began to realize Lonnie and Rath were aiming to kill. The energy started down at her feet then worked its way up to her heart, then to her hands. She lifted up a hand and aimed at Lonnie and Rath. "Nooooooooo!" she heard her voice scream as she released her energy at the dupes.A moment later, the world around her went dark as she slipped into unconsiouness.

Chapter 30

When she came to, Liz found she was laying on a soft bed rather than the hard uncomfortable ground. She sat up suddenly as her eyes focused and refocused.Max was immediatly at her side followed close by Maria and then Isabel. Max gentlly swiped a lock of hair from Liz's face. "How are you feelin?" he asked, concern obvious in his face."Dizzy" Liz replied rubbing her temples. "What happened?" Max broke eye contact with Liz as his expression went grim. "Lonnie and Rath are dead." Max stated. Liz felt the winded as her bottom jaw dropped slightly. Liz looked at the other faces around her. Their expressions matched Max, and it was all she needed to see. She had killed them, Liz didnt even know she had that kind of power within her. "Oh." was all Liz could say,as the realization of what that meant hit her.
Maria sat down on the bed beside Liz. "Oh, and Tess is missing." Liz gasped silently. "Max!" she thought to herself. "Future Max, oh whatever." Liz had completely forgotten about him. Silently she prayed that she wouldn't be too late to say goodbye, and make sure Tess left with him.
"Max!" her voice pleaded with him. "I need to borrow the Jeep, theres something i need to do." Max searched Liz's eyes for an answer. He found only desperation in their brown depths. He nodded, as the others exchanged puzzled expressions.
The warm air was blowing through her silken black strands, as she drove the jeep through desert. Liz was praying it wasnt too late, but she didnt know for sure, because you she didnt ask how long she had been out.
When she arrived at the podchamber, she slammed on the jeep's breaks and shut vehicle off. Liz then darted for the chamber's entrance. When she got to mouth of the sealed cave, she waved a hand over the unseen hand print and immediately the stone slab pulled away. Stepping in, Liz's eyes slowly adjusted to the cave's darkness. crouching down, Liz crawled through one of the hatched pods, it membranes old and dried up still clung the inside of its shell. When she she was greeted with Future Max's unshaven smile, Liz was flooded with relief. "I had hoped you hadn't left before i had a chance to say goodbye." explained as she dust dirt off her jeans. Future Max smiled at her gently. "I was about to give up."he replied sheppishly. Liz notice him give a serious look, just slight off to the side of her. When she glanced behind her, she saw Tess sitting on the ground her back, against the inside of the granilith and her hand bound behind her. Tess blue eyes sparkled with fear. Liz turned to Max and sighed heavily. "So what do we do now Max?" she asked Max rolled his eyes and chuckled softly. then he reached over and gently tucked a stray lock of hair over her ear. "Well, Liz Parker, now you may live your life." Although Liz knew Tess would be out of their lives til the future, she was still worried what the future would hold.
"Max, how do you know you wont have to come back?" Liz asked her worry obvious in her chocolate brown eyes. Max played with another stray lock of Liz's hair, and took a step closer."I don't. But, I have faith in you, and us and what the future has in store." he said in a soft far away voice. Liz could tell half of Max's thoughts where not in the present. "So um, what is our future like now?" Liz asked curiously. A pained looked washed over future Max's. "I'm sorry." Liz immdiately apologized "I know, i should not have asked."
Max thought about it for a moment "What harm is there in it?" he asked himself and then when he decided there was none, he pulled out his wallet, and took the family picture that he and Liz had taken not too long before he had taken this trip in time. Max took Liz hand into his , opened her palm and place the photo in. Liz looked at him perplexed for a moment, and then glanced down at the photo. The moment she lay eyes on the picture, she let out a small, soft gasp.
They were all there, her, Max, Micael and Isabel; although they were obviously much older. Ten years older, Liz was sure of it.There were three children standing by her and Max. "We have children?" Max grinned at Liz's obviously pleased tone, and nodded.She takes a moment to notice her and Max's children two boys one whom bore a striking resemblence to her father, and the other who looked just like his father.Liz small smile broadn slightly at the sight of their daughter, she was probably a ways off from being conceieved, but Liz could tell by the spark that shown in the young girl's eyes that she and Liz would be two peas in a pod. She scanns the picture over one last time and hands the photo back over to him. "Thank you." she says and smiles gently at him. Future Max take another step close to Liz, completely closing the gap between them. Her scent, as he always remembered it, filled his nostrils. He couldn't resist, he hadnt seen her this young in a long time, and just once he wanted to remember what it felt like to kiss a sixteen yearold Liz Parker. When he recieve no objection to the closeness, Max hooked Liz's chin with his forefinger, bend his head and kisses her gently.
The moment Tess deliberatly clears her throat, the spell was broken and they pulled away.Future Max pulled out a long crystal and inserted it into the base of the granilith. Soft lights began to dancing around the granilith walls, as it came to life humming softly. Max then stepped over to Tess and brought her to her feet. She got up willingly, defeat obvious in her eyes. "Why didn't you just kill me? and why the future?" Tess asked , struggling to understand. Liz look Tess in the eyes. "Because I'm not a killer Tess. Nasedo, robbed you of the life, that you should of had. Maybe you'll be able to find that in the future." Liz then stodd back as Max placed his hand on the glowing black column of the granilith. "Goodbye Max."Liz called out almost sadly. Max smiled back at her."I'll see you in the future." A bright lights flashes and then Tess and Max are inside the granilith. Another flash of light, and their gone. Liz remains in granilith, as the power slowly dies down, and the dancing lights disappear.[/b]

Chapter 31

Liz was in deep thought, when she stepped out of the pod chamber. How was it, that she was able to open the pod chamber? What was going to happen to Tess in the future?
Liz squints as the sunlight blinds her. "A penny for your thoughts." Max offered in a gentle yet seductive voice. Liz looked at him , arched an eyebrow at him and smirked. "Somehow, i think you'd pay a little more than that." she replied playfully. Max crinkles his nose "Okay maybe just a bit more." he replies and encircles an arm around her waist.Liz lets out a tired sigh. "He, um you..i mean..you know what i mean. He took her to the future." Max suddenly stops walking, obviously shocked by Liz's news. "What? in the future! but Liz i thought..." "I know" Liz says cutting him off as they continued to walk down away from the podchamber.."But it was the only way, Max i couldn't just have you guys kill her. Even if she did deserve it." Liz stopped in front of Max. "She gets to have a new life, safely away from us." Liz then leans in to Max, as his look of worry melts away, and is replaced by a dark smoldering grin. " We got better things to be thinking about ,Max." as she move in even closer, pelvis against pelvis. Max's grin broadens "Your place or mine?" Liz grins at him. "surprize me,"she says with a twinkle in her eye. As soon as they stepped into Liz's room, they were peeling their clothes resuming their kissing whenever an article of clothing force them to seperate momentarily. Later, as they laid in the after glow of their lovemaking, Liz snuggles close to Max's smooth muscled chest and sighs contently to herself. Hearing her soft sigh Max smiles warmly at her and runs his hand through her ebony tresses. And then despite himself, he frowns. Liz returns the look, puzzled by the shift in his mood. "Max?" she asked propping herself on her elbow."What is it?" Max looks Liz square into the eyes, his face grown serious. "I don't deserve you." Liz shifts uncomfortably at his side, not liking what she knows hes gonna say. "Max, we can't change the mistakes we have made." "But...."Max manage to get out before Liz's fingertips silenced him. "Max, lets not dwell on the past,"Liz gently pleads with him. "Its over and done with. You have plenty of time, to make up for the past." With that she leans in and they kiss deeply again.
"Liz!" Nancy Parker calls from the foot of the stairs. Liz and Max suddenly pull away from each other "Omigod Max!" gasps Liz obvioulsy horrorfied. "You gotta get out of here! If my mom sees you, i dunno what she'll do!" Not having to be told twice, Max hops into his jeans and scoops up the rest of his clothing and hurries to Liz's bedroom window, with Liz following in tow. Even in her obvious state, her hair tossled, throughly kissed lips swollen, and her cheeks flushed from their love making Max still found Liz more beautiful than hes ever seen her. Max steps out the bedroom, as Liz anxiously glances at her bedroom door. "I'll be right down mom!" she calls out. Ducking down to stick his head in , Max chuckles softly "You might was splash some cold water on your face before heading downstairs." Liz flicks her eyebrows up briefly bite her bottoms lip and nods"Um, yea good idea." Kissing her one last time, Max says goodbye, leaving Liz to deal with her parents.
It was ten pm and Liz had just gotten her nightgown on when her mother called up to her to pick up the phone. "Hello?" Liz asks into the phone. "Hey chica!" her best friends voice booms into her ear. Liz couldn't help but smile to herself. "Hey Maria." Liz replies back softly. "How are things?" Liz hears her friend softly snort into the phone. "You mean is Michael groveling like the dog that he is?" Maria asked in mock sarcasmn. Liz couldn't help but smile."Is he?" Liz asks her laughter could be heard in her voice. Well, we are talking about Michael here. So hes groveling they only way he knows how."Maria says with a sigh. Liz is grinning now. "Oh no!" Liz says trying to control the fit of giggles that were creeping up"Did he buy you another bottle of shampoo?"Liz could now hear laughter coming from the other end of the phone. "Herbal Essance." Maria replies giggling "He said he thought it would turn me on and make me smell pretty at the same time!" With that Both Liz and Maria broke out in a full laughter.

May, 2014

It had been only ten minutes since Max had left to the future. But in that ten minutes so much had changed. Liz leaned against the podchamber wall waiting for her husbands return. Liz knew that she should be happy, but she wasnt. Max was returning with Tess. Although she ad not seen the blonde hybrid in ten years, it was 10 years too soon. It was strange for Liz, one moment Tess was dead and now suddenly she never came close. But the thought crossed her mind briefly, for soon it just blended with the changed timeline, and then it was as if this was how it was ment to be.
The lights of the granilith suddenly came to life, dancing around the smooth dark walls. The room was filled with the gentle humming coming from the transporter. Then suddenly there was a loud sound, like a clap of thunder, then a bright flash of light. Once again Max Evans,the husband Liz has loved for ten years, stood before her, dragging Tess Harding close behind. He had bound the hybrid's wrists with rope and held her by it. Tess's eyes were wide with fear and she glanced around the podchamber. The form of time travel they had performed had obviously frightened the petite girl.
Liz smiled warmly at her husband, "Thank god you made it back safely!" Liz said, happy to have her husband back in one piece."The children and I were beginning to worry. Especially with her coming back and all." Liz had noticed Tess striken look when she had mention the children. Liz could not help but feel a bit satisfied in the fact that Tess was dissappointed and even a bit unnerved by the knowledge, of how badly she failed to bring Kivar an antarian heir.

Chapter 32

Feb 2, 2014




Max and Liz had been waiting at least three hours, in the quiet clinic lobby. After the first hour, they had fallen asleep. With his arm around her, Max had fallen asleep with Liz's head on his shoulder. They did not hear him stepped into lobby, clipboard and charts in arm. Alex Whitman smiled warmly down at his two longtime friends, they have been waiting here viligilantly through the entire procedure. He didnt understand exactly why, but Liz insisted they stay, until they got word it was done. Alex felt bad for them. The seats in the lobby were only slightly cusioned, and incredubly uncomfortable.
As he adjusted the stethascope draped around his neck, Alex cleared his throat. When he got no responce he tried louder.Slowly Max and Liz began to stir.Max was the first to open an eye.When he noticed the tall slender man standing before them, Max straightened himself and sat up Liz soon followed suit. "How'd it go?" Liz asked, as Max rubbed his eyes.Alex did not smile. " It went. She remembers nothing of her actual life." he replies. Max then looking Alex square in the eyes looking for a "but" but none came. "So what exactly does she remember?" Max asked suspiciously.Max sat on the edge of his seat as if not to mishear anything his sister's husband had to say. The truth was, Max was not happy how Liz and the others had decided this should be Tess's fate.It was Alex's invention, and he said it was Tess's mindwarping abilities that inspired him to create this new type of criminal rehabilitation. Thanks to the invention, more than three-fourths of the states in the country, had done away with the death penalty. The other remaining states feared that the criminal's mind would not stay "Mindwarped" for he rest of the his or her life. Max had been out voted 1 to 7 and now he and Liz sat in the lobby waiting for Alex with the results.
"Well," Alex said clearing his throat once again. "In her mind she was never raised with Nesado, she hatched from her pod only minutes after Max, and raised with him and Isabel." Max and Liz briefly glanced at each other and then back at Alex. "How are her feelings towards Max?" Liz asked, getting straight to the point. Alex glanced down at his chart briefly."Well, i am happy to report, that under the "altered" enviorment, she only ended up being a loyal friend to Max. With absolutly no desire to be his mate, or return with an heir". Liz let out a sigh and then smiled hopefully at Max. Alex look from one to the other. He knew Max would be sceptical. "Of course, she will stay here at the clinic's rehab til, we get the green lite."He finished. Alex was puzzled when the hybrid's face remained without reaction. "Until we are certain, she's not going to revert to her old ways". he added. "Oh." Max replied simply "Right." But Alex could tell the once King still held no faith in modern technology other than the improved granilith wich he, Liz and their family used for transporatation to and from their two worlds..
Liz had noticed that her long time friend, could not look her in the eyes. Just when she was sure they would make contact, Alex quickly averted is glance. Liz frowned at him. "Alex? What are you not telling us?" Liz asked this time forcing eye contact. Alex nervously smoothed his green scrubs and adjusted his stethascope. and then ran a hand through his shortly trimmed hair.It was the only thing that hadn't changed about Alex Whitman, much to his best friend's embarassment. Liz raised her eyebrow "Alex!?" It was quite obvious from Liz's tone that she wasn't going to drop the subject. Alex's shoulder slumped in resignition, and he groaned inwardly. It was time to pay the piper.Giving a loud sigh, he explained. "As far as Tess knows, you and her are best friends." Liz's jaw dropped when he said the words. "What!" she asked numbly. "And she was the one who help encouraged Max to heal Liz." Alex added. Max was the next one to be shocked "What!?" Max replied almost in a shout. Alex looked at them apologetically. "There no other sequence of memories that her mind would accept, so it was what we went with that one." he explained. "But Alex Tess and I practically hated each other! Why would her mind even accept that we were friends?" Liz asked. Alex shrugged "Well, you and Ava befriended, and without the attentions of Max getting in the way it was quite easy for you two." Liz looked at her long time friend with uncertainty "I suppose. This is gonna take a while Alex, we will need some time to adjusted." Alex nodded
As they walked out of the clinic, Alex Max and Liz did some catching up. Max briefly explained his trip, with a couple of nods of agreement from Liz. Alex looked a tad uncomfortable. "yea i vaguely remember your visit. It was a little before Iz and i became serious." Max simply nodded in agreement."Well, I gotta head back into the clinic and check on my patient. I'll keep you updated on her progress." Max and Liz hugged their friend goodbye."Tell my sister and the kids i say hello." Max added as he and Liz walked away. "Will do." Alex responded with a nod.

As Liz Evans, is pouring her eldist child, her bowl of breakfast, the telephone rings. As she dodges out of the way, to two hyperactive boys, she reaches for the phone. She taps the receiver button, and immediatly Alex Whitmans face appears appears on the small thin , black consol. "Uh, hi Liz!" Alex greets her. dogdging her two young boys once more, Liz smiles at the monitor. "Hey Alex!" Max walks into the kitchen buttoning his cuffs of a crisp new black shirt. stepping into the kitchen , he grabs himself a cup of coffee and manages to sit down without spilling a drop. "Um, Liz i hate to spring this on you now, but...it's Tess." Liz stepped back from the consol and grabbed her coffe from the kitchen table. "What about her?" she replied after gulping down a mouthful of the caffiene rich beverage. "Liz, she was released this morning." Alex said solomnly Liz choked on coffee. "What?" she shrieked. Max immediatly stood up "Why didnt you tell us sooner?" Max demanded. " It was ordered above me." he replied apologetically "I had no say. They did up te paperwork last night, and she left early this morning." Suddenly the doorbell rings, and Max and Liz suddenly look at each other knowingly. Leaving Alex waiting at the consol the two of them head towards the door. "Are you ready for this?" Max asked in a low teasing voice, as he takes her hand in his. Liz rolls her eyes"As ready as i am ever going to be." Max opens the door, to find Tess Harding leaning against the side of the door way wearing a loosly fitted jeans and a pink sweater. Her hair was pulled into ponytail with stray locks framing the sides of her face. Her blues eyes sparkle as she smiles up at them sincerely "Hi guys!" she says cheerfully. "Can i come in?" Liz and Max smile the best they can as they welcome their unexpected visitor into their home. "Remind me to kill Alex later." Liz mutters into Max's ear as they watch Tess walk into their kitchen and take a seat.

I just finished reading your story all the way through, and I really enjoyed it. I love the idea of a different Future Max coming back to fix all he messed up the first time. I love that Liz's connection was alien in nature all along. I always had hoped the show would explore that, but alas! Anyway, I like that Ava and Zan came to Roswell and became part of the group and that Rath and Lonnie were destroyed. It would have been okay with me if Tess had bit the dust too, but anyway that was too funny an ending with her thinking she was Liz's best friend! What a cruel twist of fate! Hope she doesn't cause trouble in the future and I look forward to reading your next fic, continuing this. Thanks again for your story. Sherrie
