Chapter Twenty

The early morning rays shone into the living room as Alex sighed and blinked his eyes open. Isabel was lying on top of him as her eye lids fluttered open.

"Morning." Alex said lazily as Isabel looked up at him. "Morning" she said sleepily. She then realized that she was lying on top of Alex as she became more awake. Isabel then quickly got up off of Alex.

"This can't be happening. I can't believe the first thing I wake up to is the sight of you!" Isabel groaned.

"Yeah well the sight of you isn't any better. I think I am scared for life." Alex said as he got up.

"Shut up Alex." Isabel said annoyed and then sat down next to him.

"Was I really that tired?" Isabel said looking at Alex.

"Yeah you were out like a light." Alex said as they both smiled at each other.

"So how was your date with Todd the other day?" Alex said as he looked at Isabel.

"It was fine. We went to dinner and then to his friend party." Isabel said shrugging her shoulders. "So how do you like Cape side so far?" Isabel said trying to start conversation.

"I really like it. This is probably the best vacation I have had in years. I was really lucky Maria invited me other wise I would be stuck inside working on top secret FBI computer documents that the government needs so that they can give it to the CIA in order to hack into SD6." Alex said smiling as Isabel’s jaw dropped.

"Wait you work for the FBI?" Isabel said shocked.

"I'm kidding." Alex said laughing.

"Right I knew that." Isabel said flustered as she got up off the couch.

Alex followed her into the kitchen laughing as he said

"I can't believe you actually thought..."

"Thought what?" Maria said cutting Alex off as she entered into the kitchen wearing her strip pajama bottoms and punk rock princess t -shirt.

Isabel and Alex looked up at her upon hearing her voice.

"That I worked for the FBI." Alex said laughing as Isabel looked at him. "I did not." she cried.

Maria shook her head. "Alex you didn't! Please tell me you didn't use the Alias reference again." Maria said laughing.

"What’s wrong with Alias?" Alex said surprised as he looked at Maria and Isabel.

"Wait you watch Alias?" Isabel said looking at Alex.

"Yeah why is that so wrong?" Alex sighed.

"No if you must know I watch it too." Isabel said as her eyes lit up.

"Really so you know all about the Covent?"

"Yeah how about the time the CIA got back at Slone?"

"Oh classic never liked that guy."

"Or when Sydney and Vaughn first meet."

"Yeah and how she gets back at Slone for killing her fiancé and shows up to the CIA with...

"The red hair" Alex and Isabel both said at the same time as they started cracking up.

"Ok I am leaving." Maria said throwing her hands in the air and rolling her eyes.

"It's bad enough I have to listen to Alex twenty four seven about this. Not you too Isabel." Maria said annoyed as she left the room as Isabel and Alex smiled.

"Maria will never appreciate the finer things in life." Alex said as Isabel laughed.

"Well I really have to go. I promised Todd I would go sailing with him at the Yat club." Isabel said as she glanced up at the clock.

"Right well have fun. Hey Isabel if you want one night maybe we could have an Alias marathon." Alex said as he looked at her.

She smiled. "Bye Alex." Isabel said as she left the kitchen.

Liz finished writing in her journal as she placed it into her bag and looked up at the white rose she had received the night before. The had card read

Loves Peace My Eternity

She sighed and shook her head. She had to solve the mystery of who her secret admirer was but how she wondered.

She knew it wasn't Alex or Jack that was obvious Alex was Liz's best friend and was head over heals in love with Isabel. Jack was gay; Pacey told her it wasn't him that narrowed it down to Chris, Dawson, and Max.

She was sure Max would have said something last night when she said how the sand dollars middle reminded her of a flower. She was hoping he was going to tell her when he stopped her before she entered her room. But alas no hope. So now it was down to Chris and Dawson.

Chris and Dawson what a combination. Dawson seemed a nice enough guy and had that dreamer outlook on the world about him, however Liz barely knew him and plus how could he sneak into her room when he was hardily over the house.

Chris on the other hand lived here and could easily enter her room when ever he wanted to. Chris defiantly knew how to treat a woman and was very smooth when it came to affaires of the heart.

Maybe he gave her the roses to say how sorry he was about how he acted the first night Liz was in Capeside.But they were way past apologies by now they were friends.

But then Max lived in the house as well and could have entered her room just as easily.

"I guess I will just have to see if I get any rose tonight to solve this mystery." She said to herself as she went down stairs.

"Welcome to another classic Dawson Lery movie night." Dawson beamed as he greeted the group to his house as they made their way up to his bedroom.

"You guys are in for quite a night." Joey said smiling as Liz and Alex entered the room and sat down on the floor.

Dawson started the movie as the group sat down, ate pop corn, and relaxed.

"So what are we watching?" Jen said as her and Jack lay on the floor.

"East of Eden" Dawson said smiling.

"Aw classic James Dean at his best." Pacey said.

"You can say that again." Maria said as she started gushing as everyone laughed.

"The classic story of two brothers fighting for the attention of their father while falling in love with the same girl." Dawson said smiling.

"Sounds familiar" Isabel said as he stared at Chris.

Chris then glanced over at Max who was sitting near Liz. Chris knew he had to make his move soon. Liz was starting to become friendly with his brother and Chris wasn't about to lose her and set her free. His heart wasn't going to allow it. He was in love with her and he would do what ever it took to make Liz Parker his.

Two hours later the closing credits were rolling as Dawson pressed the stop button on his remote.

"Great movie pick Dawson. Now how about that script" Andy beamed in excitement.

"OK" Dawson said as he handed out his scripts as everyone started devouring them.

"Open call will be this Saturday. You can try out for who ever you want and then from there I will decide who I will cast for what part." Dawson said proudly.

"Interesting name.’Double Vision' I like it." Pacey beamed as he flipped through the script.

"So what’s the twist?" Jen asked as she looked up from her reading.

"Just keep on reading and you will see. I will explain everything Saturday." Dawson said glowing.

"What time should we be here?" Joey asked as she placed her script down.

"Ten is good. Now who's up for another movie?" Dawson said as he got up from his bed and exchanged tapes.

"ba bam wha wha, ba bam wha wha" soon the theme to Gold Finger was heard as everyone watch the movie.

Goldfinger.
He's the man, the man
with the midas touch.
A spiders touch.

"James Bond nice. Are you going to be using any of that in your script?"
Jack asked as he looked at Dawson.

"Maybe?" Dawson said smirking as he watched the TV.

"Oh if you do can I be James Bond?" Alex cried as he looked at Dawson.

Such a cold finger

"I see you more as 'Q' Alex then James Bond." Dawson said as he looked at him.

"Yeah he's got a point. I mean Alex with the way you are into computer and everything you are practically already Q." Maria said looking at Alex.

"Yeah definitely Q." Jack said as he looked at Alex as Alex sighed.

"You can be my Double O Seven any day." Isabel said in a seductive tone as she looked at Alex.

"Really!" Alex said beaming. "Keep dreaming Whitman." Isabel said as she laughed and nudged him slightly.

"You know Liz you could pass as a Bond Girl?" Maria said as Liz laughed.

"No really you could after all Mr. Bond always had a beautiful sidekick." Pacey chimed in as Liz laughed.

"Names Bond James Bond. And you are" Chris said in a low voice.

"Elizabeth Parker at your service Mr. Bond." Liz said enjoying this game as she extended her hand to him.

"Pleasure meeting you." Chris said as he kissed her hand.

"Is that so well Miss Parker I hope to see how you use your gift of pleasure sometime." Chris said in a low voice causing Liz to blush as he looked deep into her eyes.

Liz laughed as Chris smiled as everyone laughed at the display except for Max.

He stared at his brother and how he was weaving his web yet again right in front of his eyes with how he charmed woman and he was powerless to stop it as Liz was falling deeper into his trap. However he was not going to let his brother get the best of him.

"I'm sorry Mr. Bond but it seems that Miss Parker has already shared her gift with me." Max said as he wrapped an arm around Liz which took her by surprise.

"Better luck next time." Max said smiling at his brother as everyone laughed.

"Well Good night Dawson. Oh we so have to talk about our road trip to Boston." Jack said as he said good night.

"Saturday. I promise." Dawson said smiling as he waved Jack, Andy, and Jen good night.

"Well we better go. Thanks Dawson I will study hard for Saturday." Maria said as she hit him with her script on the arm.

"I'm sure you will Maria." He said laughing as he watched the rest of everyone leave. Dawson closed the door and smiled he couldn't wait for Saturday. He then walked up stairs to him room and turned on the TV just in time to catch the Hitchcock marathon on A&E.

"Liz can we go for a walk?" Max said as he entered her bedroom.

"Um sure let me just get a sweater." She said as she grabbed he cardigan and headed down stairs with him.

Soon they were walking the streets of Cape side. "What is it that you wanted to talk about?" Liz said as they walked along the pier.

"About us." Max said as they stopped and looked at the moon light reflecting off the ocean.

"What about us?" Liz asked not quite sure what he meant.

"Last night in my room we almost kissed." Max said looking at her.

"But we didn't so what is there to talk about?" Liz said as she looked into his eyes.

"What’s happening with between us? Because I feel it. Don't you Liz?" Max said softly as he took her hand.

"I'm not sure." Liz said biting her bottom lip.

"Not sure Liz what about the night we danced you can't tell me you didn't feel anything then." Max said as he tucked a piece of hair behind her ear.

"Maybe I did. Look Max I see the way you and Chris exchange looks to each other about me like I am some prize to be won. I don't want love to be like that." Liz said as she sighed.

"I know Liz but I can tell you that I am not after you like Chris is. Trust me I have seen it so many times. He only sees you as a conquest." Max said looking at her.

"How can you say that about him? He is not like that." Liz said as she let go of Max's hand.

"He is Liz. He is greedy and selfish." Max said trying to make his point.

"How can you say that about your own brother?" Liz cried.

"You don't know Chris." Max said frustrated.

"Oh like how you don't know me. You barely talk to me and then you ask me where we stand. I hardly know you Max. Please don't make me choose." Liz said as tears filled her eyes as her confusion set in.

"Oh and you know Chris better?" Max said looking at her.

"That's not what I mean. Please Max you’re a great guy and I had a wonderful time with you the other night but I am just so confused." Liz said as she felt a tear run down her cheek.

"Please don't cry. I didn't mean to make you cry." Max said as he wiped the tear away from her cheek as Liz look up at him with teary eyes.

She then hugged him as tears fell from her eyes as Max held her close.

Her body shook as he held her as he threaded his fingers through her hair. "Shh Liz its ok." Max whispered as she cried.

"I'm sorry I am such a mess. It's just that everyone is telling me what I should do, how I should act, even who I should date, and this might sound crazy but on top of it all I miss home. I know pathetic. I am all grown up and I am still home sick." Liz said as she wiped her eyes.

"I was going to go home to see my parents in Roswell before we left to come here but plans changed and Maria picked Alex and I up from Boston as soon as classes ended and we headed straight here. So the last time I saw my parents was for Christmas." Liz said as she looked up at him.

"Liz it's ok. You know the last time I saw my parents was ages ago they are always out, busy with work, or traveling some where. I hardly see them. I think they might be home at the end of the month. I am not sure.

So believe me I know what it's like to miss them and to have people always telling you who you should be. I just wish I could be myself some times and not be judge for it." Max said as he held her.

"You can be yourself with me." Liz said softly.

Max then kissed her on the forehead as Liz closed her eyes.

"I like that. As long as you are yourself with me." Max said softly as Liz opened her eyes and looked up at him.

"Ok" Liz said as their foreheads touched and looked into each others eyes as they smiled.

"Thanks for listening." Liz said as she looked up at him.

"Anytime." Max said softly. They hugged each other one last time before they started walking through the town as the stars shinned above them.

Chapter Twenty One

The sultry R&B tone filled the air as Imani Copplar song 'Forget Myself' played in Isabel’s CD player as she swayed to the music as she got ready for another summer day in Capeside.

I've been following you throughout your days
I've been confiscating your mail
I've been talking to your lover
She told me "stay the hell away"

She hummed along with the music as she finished putting on her lipstick and put on her tie striped belt that matched her pink button down shirt.

She then started dancing around her room as she started singing along to the song.

"That can be arranged you know." Alex said as Isabel jumped in shock as she stopped and gasped seeing Alex.

"Alex!" she yelled as her cheeks flustered in embarrassment.

"Not bad Imani Copplar. I'll give you credit for that. She is pretty good." Alex said as he entered Isabel’s room and sat down on her bed.

"Yeah well I think that’s enough of Imani Copplar for one day." She said as she quickly turned off her CD player.

"Nice, Oh classic, pretty good, never heard of them, terrible." Alex said as he flipped through Isabel’s CD collection.

"Ok that’s enough." Isabel said as she snatched her CD case holder from Alex's hands.

"Obviously you didn't want to come here and make fun of my taste in music so what do you want Alex?" Isabel said as she placed her CD case holder oh her shelf.

"Wait you like Beth Orton?" Alex said as he saw a poster of her in Isabel’s room.

"Yeah so?" Isabel said looking up at him annoyed.

"No I love her. I have seen her in concert so many times." Alex said as he walked over to the poster.

"Really well I got that at the last show I went to last summer. The concert was amazing." Isabel said as she looked at the poster with Alex.

"Yeah I saw her in Boston." Alex said as he looked at Isabel.

"Really that’s the same concert I went to. It was incredible." Isabel said smiling.

"So what other music do you like?" Alex asked as he glanced around her room.

"All different kinds. I even like heavy metal at time." She said laughing.

"Really because you don't seem like the heavy metal type." Alex said shocked.

"Well you don't seem like the Beth Orton type either. There is a lot me you don't know." Isabel said looking at him.

"Well there is a lot about me you don't know as well. Maybe you shouldn't judge me so quick you might be surprised." Alex said as he looked into her eyes.

"Hey do want to hang out and listen to some music?" Isabel said as she sat down on her bed.

"Sure! Isabel Evans are about to gain quite an education when it comes to the Alex Whitman school of music. You have much to learn. By the time I am done with you, you will have a finer appreciate for the 60's and Louie Louie." Alex said laughing.

"Don't count on it Whitman." Isabel said as she hit him with her pillow.

"Hey Parker what are you writing about?" Chris said as he came up behind Liz and glanced over her shoulder.

"Nothing." Liz said as she quickly closed her journal. "It's ok you can say you were writing about me." Chris said grinning as Liz rolled her eyes.

"So what’s up?" Liz said as she got up from the lounge chair. "Wouldn't you like to know?" Chris said as he wiggled his eye brows.

"I'm serious Chris. What is it you wanted to ask me?" Liz said feeling herself become twenty different shades of red.

"I was wondering if you would want to come and run lines with me. We don't have that much time till Saturday and I really could use the practice." Chris said as he held his script in his hand.

"Um ok sure." Liz said grabbing her journal and followed him upstairs.

They entered Chris's room as he sat down on the bed. "I was thinking of starting from page 26." Chris said as he flipped open to the page.

"Wow pretty nice room." Liz said as her eyes scanned the dark blue and white room with red curtains. It was decorated with tons of pictures mostly of girls and friends at various parties. On top of that were an array of different movies and various sport trophies.

"Thanks." Chris said as he watched her every move.

Liz's eyes then fell on a picture of Chris and a girl with brown hair and green colored eyes all dressed up at a formal and smiling with their arms around each other.

"Who's this?" Liz said as she took the picture and sat down next to Chris.

He smiled slightly looking at the picture. "This was Abby Morgan. She was a good friend of mine when I started Capeside. She was my first love. We dated for a while but then broke up some time during my junior year. However we remained really close. This was a picture of us at Capesides home coming dance right before she died.

It happened one night while we were at a party. Everyone had gotten really drunk that night and so she and Jen wondered off to drink by the pier. Well Abby lost her footing and hit her head so she was knocked unconscious the fall killed her when she hit the water. Jen witnessed the whole thing. It was a horrible night. I felt like I lost my best friend.

Abby defiantly was a bitter and mean person however she wasn't always like that. At one point she was really caring and even loving at one point. But that all changed and in an instant she was gone. Why she died so young I have no idea." Chris said as he stared at the picture as tears formed in his eyes.

"Chris I am so sorry." Liz said looking up at him. "Don't be it was in the past. She is in a better place." He sighed as he took the picture from Liz and placed it back on his shelf.

"So about running those lines?" Chris said forcing himself to smile as he sat down next to Liz.

"Are you sure you want to start on page 26? I mean it's kind of in the middle?" Liz said as she looked up at Chris.

"No it's ok. Besides Dawson will be expecting that we have read most of the script by Saturday." Chris said as he looked at his copy.

"OK so I guess I start. Liz said as she read out loud as her and Chris took turns reading their lines.

(Yvonna meets James after having a fight with Rick outside of the Blackwell's Club)

Yvonna: "I'm sorry about Rick you know how he gets about running Blackwell's Club."

James:” Why do you stay there? He is just using you for the money. Yvonna your better then that.

Yvonna:" Look this is all I have I can't just leave. This is my life. Please try to understand."

James:" Understand! Understand what how you are another of Rick Whoe's"

Yvonna: "No! You don't know him! He saved me if it wasn't for him I would be out on the streets! He saved me! He gave me a life that people only dream about! So don't go and tell me that I am a Whoe!

(Moves closer to her)
James: "Look I know you are not a Whoe. You are a beautiful woman who deserves to be treated with respect. You are so talented. Damn it anyone in this town would give their right leg to have the voice you have. I'm just saying don't lose who you are because of what the Rick Blackwell's in the world tell you who you should be.

Yvonna:" And who should I be?"

James:" Just be your beautiful amazing self doll."

(James and Yvonna kiss)

"Um Chris it says we should kiss?" Liz said as she glanced down at the script and then back at Chris.

"Right well we are in character so I think we can make an exception." Chris said softly as he gently and slowly kissed Liz causing her to melt.

"How was that?" Chris said softly looking deep into Liz's eyes.

"It was perfect. I am sure Dawson will be pleased." Liz said smiling.

"Well can we do that again? I think I need some more practice." Chris said softly.

"Um Chris I think you have had enough practice for one day." Liz said as she got up off the bed.

"Well can I run lines with you again some other day?" Chris said looking up at her with puppy dog eyes.

"Ask Maria she will be more then willing to. I mean after all we must practice with as many different people as we can. Because you never know who Dawson is going to pick." Liz said as she started to leave the room.

"But I don't like kissing Maria." Chris sighed.

"See you later Chris." Liz said as she left the room as Chris lay back onto his bed with a groan. Liz Parker was like no other girl Chris had ever encountered. This fight wasn't going to be easy but he was willing to try. Even if she was going to be the death of him.

Chapter Twenty Two

Liz left Chris's room feeling a slight pain in her heart as she walked down the hall. After all Chris and her and decided to take things slow but for some reason she felt slightly guilty.

She quickly brushed off the feeling and sighed. Maybe she was feeling this way because the white roses and cards she had been receiving had stopped.

She still hadn't found out who her secret admirer was and wasn't able to crack the case as a result. Truth was she missed going into her room night after night and seeing the white rose on her pillow with her admirers words of love written for only her eyes to see.

She kept the notes tucked away in her journal so that they were hidden from the world only to be surrounded by the world of her thoughts where she knew they would be kept safe among her secrets and dreams.

She then placed her script and journal back in her room and looked out on to the beautiful blue sky. A walk would do her good she thought as she made her way downstairs and into the warm sunshine.

Chris made his way down the hall towards the constant banging sound that was coming from his sister’s room.

"Izzy what the hell are you doing?" Chris said as he barged into her room as he saw her and Alex dancing and laughing as they sang to the song.

"Oh hey Chris. Alex and I were dancing." Isabel said as her and Alex bust of into laughter.

"Well will you turn that down! You are going to wake up half of the neighborhood with that nose!" Chris yelled as Isabel lowered the music.

"Oh come on Chris its 'The Kinks' you have to blast it" Alex cried looking at him.

"Yeah well it sounds pretty kinky if you ask me. I'd rather be doing kinky things then listen to this. My head hurts from all of the pounding." Chris said as he rubbed his head.

"Isabel you and I have to talk." Chris said staring intensely into her eye.

"Now?"

"Yes now." Chris said in a demanding voice as he grabbed Isabel's arm.

"See you later Alex. Thanks for the Whitman education." Isabel said looking back at him as she smiled.

Chris threw Isabel into his room and closed the door behind him.

"Chris what the hell has gotten into you!" Isabel cried as she looked at her crazed brother.

"Isabel it's not working. Liz and me. She said she wanted to take things slow but every time I try to make a move she sees right past it. For the first time my charms are powerless." Chris said frustrated as he ran his hands through his hair.

"Well you better get a grip little brother. This isn't like you. There have better be some still magic hiding up your sleeve and you have better make those charms work or else I will take matters into my own hands." Isabel said glaring at her brother.

"Ok tell me what to do?" Chris pleaded as he looked at his sister.

"Wow this is a first I can't remember the first time you pleaded to your sister." Isabel laughed.

"Tell me." Chris begged.

"Oh little brother how quickly you forget. Capeside is the pearl when it comes to society and old money. Historically we have a rich history of preserving that heritage. Being the Wolf you are you will figure it out." Isabel smiled as she left the room leaving Chris to his thoughts.

Liz walked along the pier until she saw a familiar face smiling at her.

"Oh hi Pacey." She said smiling back at him.

"Aw the lovely Miss Parker what brings you out on this fine summer day?" he asked as he walked up to her.

"I just needed to clear my mind." Liz sighed.

"You want to talk?" He said looking at her. "Sure" she said as Pacey walked with her.

They entered a local dinner and sat down after they ordered some coffee Pacey finally spoke.

"So what's on your mind?" he said looking at her.

"Well I guess I am confused. Do you ever have the feeling where your mind is telling you one thing but your heart is telling you another?" Liz sighed as she sipped her coffee.

"Let me guess the guy who was giving you the white roses wasn't who you wanted it to be?" Pacey said as he leaned back into the booth.

"No I didn't solve who my secret admirer is. I probably never will. I don't get the roses anymore." Liz sighed.

Pacey listened and shook his head. "Well it could mean two things either he just gave up or he is giving you some space until he gives you the big surprise." Pacey said smiling as Liz's eyes lit up.

"The big surprise. What’s that?" She said glowing.

"It is the moment of truth when he reveals himself to you and you know who he really is. Trust me you will know when it is the surprise. They usually either come out in person and tell you face to face or they will leave you a letter explaining why they did it and will sign their name." Pacey said as he drank more of his coffee.

"Really?" Liz said unsure.

"Now tell me what do you think of Dawson’s script?" Pacey said as he and Liz started chatting excitedly over another Dawson Lery masterpiece.

Chapter Twenty Three

Saturday came faster then the group expected as they all gathered at the dance hall.

"Dawson what are we doing here?" Jen asked as she looked at her friend.

"Yeah I mean last time I checked my ballroom dancing lessons don't need any more practice" Pacey said smirking to Dawson.

"Pacey I am talking more like swing." Dawson said as he hopped on top of the stage.

"Picture it the setting a swing club. The time the Roaring Twenties. Speak easies, the Golden Age a time where the jazz was in its hay day and every night was a party." Dawson said excitedly as he laid out the scene.

"Now picture a night club famous for its swingers and lounge lizards. The club owner a well respected business man and ladies man. His well respected "Rat Pack" keeps the business rolling to say the least. Falls into the hands of the huge Mob boss who keeps his night club from falling under." Dawson said as he jumped into the center of the stage.

"However there is a murder one night which kills one of his leading ladies and causing everyone to point the finger to the club owner." Dawson said as he hurried to another end of the stage.

"A detective is hired to check out the scene and find out the true story. However the club is in trouble being the own was accused of the crime and is going under." Dawson said getting excited.

"However Lady Luck walks in one night. Cue the ever mysterious and sultry Jazz singer whose voice would make any man weak in the knees shows up in town one night and blows the club away with her voice. The owner is ecstatic and his club thrives.

However the mystery to the murder is still in the air as the detective dives deeper and deeper into this world of Jazz, gambling, the mob, and love.

Their will be suspense, drama, love, excitement, but above all Jazz. Thus I give you ‘Double Vision’." Dawson said as he finished his speech.

"So wait is this like Guys and Dolls?" Alex piped up breaking the silence.

"But better." Dawson said smiling. "That is why I brought you here today. Let the madness begin" He said as he jumped off the stage.

"Aw the Jazz age. Dawson I love you. We get to wear all of those fancy cloths and sing!" Maria squealed in excitement.

"I can play piano!" Alex cried.

"We can dance" Pacey and Joey yelled.

"Let’s just get through auditions first." Andy yelled as she held her clip board.

"Alright each of you will go when I call you and you will read various characters." Dawson said sitting down in a chair next to Andy.

"Shall we begin? Pacey." Dawson cried as Pacey made his way to the table.

"Read from page 5."

Pacey begin as he read out loud. Rick: "Well my boys I think tonight we hit the jack pot. With the gig I have booked tonight we will be swimming in dough. Yes my boys we are going to take this town by storm"

"Nice Pacey." Dawson said taking some notes. "Hey Dawson this Rick Blackwell guy cut him some slack will yeah. I mean you make him kind of a bad guy." Pacey said looking at Dawson.

"No Pacey Rick is not a bad guy. He is well loved just remember he was accused of a crime." Dawson said laughing.

"Ok so he is framed. I guess that is not so bad." Pacey said smiling as he sat down next to Joey.

"Maria your up." Dawson said as Maria bounced up on stage.

"Sing me something jazz" Dawson said as he looked at her.

"Never know how much I loved you never know now much you cared when you put your arms around me I get a fever that’s so hard to bear. You give me fever." Maria sang in a sexy voice.

"Wow you have got the pipes girl" Andy said shocked.

"Alright Alex and Isabel your up." Dawson said as the two of them walked up.

"Read from page 20."

Alex and Isabel flipped through to the page and began.

Charles:” Why Hello Miss May you are looking especially lovely this evening."

Lilly:" Thank you Mr. Carver I am sure you won't mind joining me in a game of poker."

Charles:" I didn't knew you played cards?"

Lilly:” I know how to play with luck and take my chances."

Charles:" Really well if you deal your cards right I have a feeling luck might come your way."

Lilly:" You bluff"

(Charles moves closer to Lilly)

Charles:" Oh the contrary I would never lie to you. A good hand and a roll of the dice is all you need"

(Charles says as he rolls his dice in his hands)

Lilly: "Well I look forward to seeing just what you have hiding up that sleeve of yours."

Charles:” Stick around and I will really give you a show. Care to blow on these dice and give me some luck."

(Lilly blows on the dice as Charles grasps her and kisses her)

Alex grabbed Isabel and pulled her close into a passionate kiss as she tried to pull him off of her. Finally she broke away gasping for air.

"EEEWWW Gross I think I am going to be sick." Isabel yelled as she ran off of the stage leaving an elated Alex who was grinning from ear to ear as everyone laughed.

"Wait to go Whitman! I knew you had it in you!" Pacey yelled as Isabel gagged and ran out of the room.

For the rest of the day the auditions went on until the mid after noon sun was starting to set. By that time almost everyone had left leaving Dawson to his notes as he tried to cast his characters.

He was almost there he just need to find his leading lady.

"Look Dawson I am going to leave. I will see you later."

"Bye Max." Dawson said busy in thought as he read through the call sheet. "Maria...no...Isabel defiantly not I know who I am casting her as. Jen no she is working props. Joey yeah she would defiantly fit."

"Oh hey Liz" Dawson heard Max say breaking him out of this thoughts as he looked up.

"Oh hi Liz. We were just finishing up." Dawson said looking at her.

"Oh I am not here to audition." Liz said taken aback.

"Why?" Dawson said looking at her.

"Um well I have never acted before." She said shyly as she bit her lower lip.

"That’s ok. Come on try out I promise I don't bit." Dawson said smiling at her.

"Um.. well...ok" Liz said shrugging her shoulder as Dawson handed her a script.

"Oh hey Max can you help me." Dawson said calling out to Max as he caught him walking out of the room.

Max stopped and turned. "Oh sure."

He then walked up to Dawson and Liz. "Can you read lines with Liz?" Dawson said as he handed Max a script.

"Look Liz I promise this will be an easy read no pressure. Just relax. You can take it from page...."

Dawson flipped and scanned through his script. "From page 47." Dawson said as he leaned back in his chair and watched.

"I guess I start." Max said looking at her as he read out loud

(Yvonne meets James at the train station later that night)

James:"Yvonna why did you come here? I told you not to get involved."

Yvonna:"I know but you see I had no other place to go. The papers are talking saying how they now think I am linked to Rick and the murder. Look the mob will be looking for me."

James:” More like Nathanial will be looking for you. I told you Yvonna not to get involved with Rick and his club.

Yvonna:"Look Nathanial has nothing to do with this."

James: "Really because last time I checked you were the mob leaders leading lady the shinning star. Willing to do anything just to make it big at whatever cost."

Yvonna:" That's not true! Look I heard gun shots and I wanted to make sure you were ok! Thats why I came here tonight.Thats why I followed you."

James:” If this is your poor excuse to lead to Fox's gang to me then consider it done. Quite playing games with me and tell me the truth. You sold me out."

Yvonna:" The truth oh you want the truth. Well the truth is I left him!"

James:" You left him? I'm not buying it. I see the way he looks at you and you at him. Just tell me you love him."

Yvonna:"Love him what kind of question is that?"

(The sound of a trian whistle is heard)

James:” Look Miss White if you excuse me I have a train to catch."

(James turns to leave.)

Max turned and walked away from Liz.

(Yvonna is upset and close to tears)

Yvonna: "OK Fine you want the truth I will tell you the truth. The truth is I told him I didn't love him. I never did. Truth is I am in love with some one else!

(James turns to face Yvonna)

Max turned and looked deep into Liz's eyes as he got closer to her.

James:” You don't love him"

Yvonna:"No. I love you."

Liz finished saying the last line and looked deep into Max's eyes. They stared at each other until Dawson applauded as they broke from their trance and blinked their eyes.

"Oh my god that was amazing. Wow I can't describe it." Dawson beamed with excitement as he ran his fingers through his hair as chills ran down his spin. He had found his leading lady and leading couple. Their chemistry was incredible and sent sparks flying in the air.

"I think an actress was born. Congrats Liz. I just found my leading lady." Dawson cried as he hugged her. He then hugged Max and congratulated them on a job well done.

"Well I have to get going it's been a long day and I still have much work to do if I want to get this cast list up by Wednesday. Again just amazing." Dawson beamed as he gathered up his things and headed for the door.

The room was empty as Max and Liz were glowing with excitement.

"Wow the leading lady. That’s a huge honor." Max beamed as he looked at her.

"Yes it is." Liz beamed as she grinned. "So I guess we will be working together?" She smiled as she looked at him. Her smile was breathtaking. Hell who was he kidding she was breathtakingly beautiful as he looked at her.

"Yes." He said as he hugged her. They broke from the hug glowing.

"But you know there was something missing from that scene that James should have done." Max said as he looked deep into her eyes and tucked a piece of hair behind her ear.

"What was that?" Liz said as she looked up at him.

"This." Max said softy as he pulled her into a passionate kiss.

I am back in CT after a very relaxing Easter break in NY and RI. It was great to relax and see my family and friends.

Chapter Twenty Four

The kiss was gentle and slow yet passionate and demanding at the same time. They held each other close as their hearts burst with an emotion neither of them had felt before as they pour love into one another's soul as they tighten their grip on one another.

Her spell that she weaved around him was captivating and his heart never felt so complete in his life as he threaded his fingers through her hair.

"What do we do now?" Liz said breathlessly as she opened her eyes.

"I'm sorry...I was just...." Max sighed as he tried to explain what had just happened.

"Caught up in the moment. We were both caught up in the moment and the excitement of everything." Liz said looking up at him trying to make sense of the electric kiss she had just encountered.

"Right." Max said softly as he shook his head slightly.

"So... um congratulations" Max said shyly. He knew he was out of line for kissing her however he didn't regret it the last thing he wanted to do was scare her off. He figured it was best he would wait until Liz made the first move to let him know how much she cared about him.

"You too." Liz said as the awkwardness between them settled in as she looked up at him shyly and tucked a piece of her long brown hair behind her ear as she bit her lower lip and slightly smiled.

"You will make some detective." Liz said as she smiled at him.

"And you will make some leading lady." Max sighed as he relaxed a little and smiled at her.

Liz slightly blushed as they started to leave the dance hall.

"I'm glad you tried out. It will be fun working together." Max said as they walked to Max's jeep.

"Thanks. Yes it will be. Thanks for helping me get over my stage fright. Maria and Alex are not going to believe this." Liz said as she slightly laughed as she climbed in.

"I didn't mind helping you out. Oh and speaking of Alex you missed it he grabbed my sister when they were reading lines and kissed her. Let me tell you it was some kiss. Isabel was mortified." Max said laughing as he started the car.

"WHAT ALEX KISSED ISABEL AND I MISSED IT!!!!" Liz screamed in shock.

"Yeah it was the funniest thing I ever saw." Max said laughing.

"You have to tell me the details" Liz said smiling as the two of them drove home in the summer night.

Max and Liz entered the large house. Everyone was out in the back enjoying the pool. However neither Max nor Liz felt like swimming. Instead Liz wanted to write in her journal.

The kiss still lingered in her mind however she was going to keep it to herself and thought that some writing would do her mind good with sorting things out.

"Well I am heading out. I might go to Michaels. See you later Liz." Max said as he waved good bye to her and left.

Liz finished writing in her journal and headed downstairs. She entered the back porch were she was greeted with an array of hugs and huge smiles as everyone congratulated her on her big news.

"Dawson called and he was ecstatic!" Isabel cried as she hugged her. "Thanks Isabel." Liz beamed.

"Is it true you got the lead?" Maria Said as she looked at her friend.

"Yes it’s true. I got the lead." Liz said glowing.

AW LIZ CONGRATS" Maria shrieked as she hugged her as she nearly choked Liz to death.

"Alright Maria enough I mean how can Dawson have a play if you kill the leading lady with your death grip." Alex said as Maria released her as Liz tried to regain her breath.

"Congrats Liz that’s a huge honor." Alex beamed as he hugged her.

"Ok this calls for a celebration. We are so going out tonight for drinks." Isabel cried as she hurried to get ready for a night on the town.

The group went to a local dance club as bright neon lights danced and created a rainbow of color as techno dance music blasted though huge speakers as people danced to the pounding beat.

"Here is our rising star. Congrats Liz." Jen beamed as she hugged Liz.

"Wow that’s amazing Dawson told me all of the great news." Andy said beaming as she hugged her. "Thanks." Liz smiled as the group made their way into the club.

"Aw may I kiss the hand of the shinning star." Pacey said as he kissed Liz's hand. "Dawson told me everything that’s a huge honor." Joey said as she hugged her.

"Ok this is normally not my scene but when Pacey and I heard the great news how could we refuse a night of dancing and partying." Joey beamed as they made their way towards a table in the corner.

"Drinks are on me." Dawson yelled as he ordered a round of shots, exotic drinks, and beers from the bar.

Soon Dawson and Jack returned with the drinks as everyone toasted to the play and to Liz's great achievement.

"To Double Vision. Hopefully by the end of tonight we will all be seeing Double Vision drink up." Jack cried as everyone laughed and drank their shots of Tequila.

"Parker I always knew you had it in you." Alex cried as he toasted.

"I always knew you had it in you as well Mr. Don Juan. I heard that was some kiss" Liz smiled as she clinked her glass with Alex.

"You know me never underestimate the charms of the Whitman" Alex said smiling.

"Ok we are so dancing!" Maria beamed as she started to grab Liz's arm as they made their way to the dance floor.

"Care to dance Isabel?" Alex asked as he extended his hand to her.

"Drop dead Whitman!" She cried as she walked past him.

"I guess a yes." Alex said as he laughed and followed the rest of the gang on the dance floor.

Maria was dancing showing off her moves as she spun around and hit into something.

"Oh watch it Blondie." a voice cried as Maria looked up.

"What the hell are you doing here Space Boy" Maria groaned as she saw who she ran into.

"It's Michael and I was here with my friends Courtney, Tess, and Vickie."

"Great just my luck not only do I run into you but the whole Michael Guerin fan club is here as well!" Maria said frustrated as she sighed.

"Why you want to join?" Michael said smiling.

"Ha Ha funny. No there is no way in hell I am going to boost your ego. So why don't you go back to your girls and leave me the hell alone." Maria cried as she looked at him and then turned and started walking away.

"Fine your lose. But I was really hoping you would save a dance for me. Maria." Michael said smiling.

"Wait did you just call me Maria?" She said as she turned around and looked at him.

"Maybe but you will have to dance with me and I promise I won't call you Blondie the whole night." Michael said as he waited for her answer.

Maria glared at him as he blood boiled he was so frustrating. "Ok fine one dance and that’s it. OK?" Maria spat as she looked him deep in the eyes.

"Deal. You know you are really hot when you are angry." Michael said laughing as he pulled her close.

"What am I doing this." she groaned as they started to dance.

Liz needed to get some air as she pushed her way through the crowed club and headed towards the bar.

"You never cease to amaze me Elizabeth Parker." Chris whispered into her ear as he came up from behind her and handed Liz a Day Lilly.

"Thank you Chris." Liz said as she slightly blushed over his kind gesture as Chris stood beside her.

"You know the term Leading Lady is very sexy." Chris whispered into her ear as Liz smiled.

"How about I buy you a drink." Chris said nodded to the bar tender.

"What do you want?" Chris asked looking at her.

"I'm not sure?" Liz said looking up at him.

"How about Sex on the Beach." Chris grinned as he raised an eye brow.

"Ha ha you wish. Actually I will have an Organism." Liz said looking up at him.

Chris nearly fell and hit the floor from what he just heard as he had to balance himself as he grabbed onto the bar as he looked at her in shock.

"I'm kidding Chris!" Liz said laughing.

"Right just checking." Chris said out of breath feeling himself break out in a sweat as he tried to compose himself.

"I'll actually have a Harvard cooler" Liz said looking at him.

"Oh right um I'll have a Harvard cooler and a shot of the strongest thing you have." Chris said to the bar tender. After a comment like that he needed a stiff drink.

He paid the bar tender and downed the liquid feeling it burn in his throat as he winced and placed the empty shot glass down. Chris then went on to order a Jack and Coke as he handed Liz her drink.

"Thanks for the drink." Liz said as she held her glass.

"No problem. A toast to Dawson’s play and to a rising star." Chris said as he clinked his glass with Liz's and took a sip of his drink.

"Thanks so you want to dance? The Creekers and everyone else is on the dance floor." Liz said as she watched the group enjoying themselves.

"Sure." Chris said pulling her close as the entered the crowded hall.

"Hey Isabel" Chris beamed as he joined his sister on the dance floor. She smiled when she saw who was on his brother’s arm. "Hey Liz and Chris I am glad you made it." Isabel said as her and her brother exchanged a look of approval.

The group danced and swayed to the beat as they started to get lost in the world of dance and music as lights flashed and created its own world of rainbow shadows.

Soon the steady beat of a guitar was heard as a bum, bum, bum was heard as the song 'Everybody Have Fun Tonight' by Wang Chung started playing.

A circle had formed as the group danced all of the sudden Alex was in the middle and started to dance as he waved his hands in the air as he moved to the music.

Cool down Rip it up And get the feeling not the word.

"Go Alex" Andy yelled as Alex started moon walking and spin around in the middle of the circle.

Isabel started rolling her eyes as he started dancing towards her.

Alex then smiled and raised his eye brows up and down as he grabbed his jacket and threw it off as he spun around.

Alex then learned back as he danced and swayed to the music as he grabbed his shirt and started to slowly unbutton it.

"Aw TAKE IT OFF" Maria yelled as Alex moved in a straight line down his shirt as he unbuttoned it in front of Isabel.

"Oh god Alex." Isabel protested as Alex moved from one button to the other.

"GO ALEX!" Jen screamed as Alex's shirt was open as he danced and slowly moved his shirt lower and lower down his back as more and more of his sleeve less shit t-shirt was shown.

He then took his shirt and draped it over his shoulder as he danced towards Maria and threw it at her as she laughed. Alex then started dancing with his arms up as he swayed back and forth as he smiled and laughed.

"GO WHIT!" Joey yelled as she watched Alex dance.

Alex then pulled on his T-Shirt as he moved to the music and slowly pulled it up teasing everyone as he danced. He then pulled it over his head in one swift motion exposing his chest and threw his shirt at Isabel as she caught it and shook her head mortified as she looked at him.

"AW SEXY" Andy cried as everyone laughed.

"AW BABY!" Maria yelled as Alex danced and spun around to the music as he strutted around and shook to the music.

"GO ALEX!" Pacey, Joey, Dawson, Jack, and Jen cried as they clapped and cheered as Alex bobbed his head and started too walked like an Egyptian out of the center and joined the rest of the circle as everyone cheered as he bowed.

"Oh my god that was the funniest thing I ever saw." Andy said breathlessly as she laughed while everyone made their way back to the table.

"Yeah that was classic." Dawson cried.

"Like I said before there is never a dull moment when Alex is around." Liz said laughing.

"The look on Isabel’s face was priceless." Joey said laughing.

"Speaking of Isabel where is she?" Jen asked as she looked around for her.

"On the dance floor." Pacey said seeing her with Todd.

"Wow would you look at the time. We really should be heading back." Chris said glancing at his watch.

The group grabbed their things and were starting to leave when Isabel stormed up to Maria.

"We are leaving Maria." She said as she grabbed or more like dragged her away from Michael.

"Aw Isabel good to see you as well." Michael said when he saw her.

"Maria lets go! NOW!" Isabel said annoyed as she grabbed Maria.

"Bye Michael. Thanks for dancing." Maria said as Isabel dragged her away.

"You too Maria." Michael said as he laughed and shook his head as he watched them leave.

The group made their way into the house full of laughs and good cheer from a night of celebrating.

"Wow it's been quite a night. I am going to bed." Isabel yawned as she started to head up stairs.

"Oh Alex here is your shirt."

"Keep it. Consider it a souvenir." Alex said laughing as he watched Isabel storm up the stairs still holding his shirt.

"Alex and I are going to watch movies if you want." Maria said as she looked at Chris and Liz.

"Thanks Maria but actually I am heading to bed." Chris said as he rubbed his head as the alcohol was finally getting to him and all he wanted to do was pass out.

"Yeah I am going to bed as well. Night guys." Liz said as her and Chris headed up stairs.

Liz sighed and fell on to her bed exhausted as she sighed. She then got dressed for bed and was about to turn off her light when she saw a card with her name written across it. Her eyes lit up could this be the surprise that Pacey had been talking about.

She quickly opened the card and pulled out what was inside. It was an invitation which read

You are cordially invited to the
75th Annual
Capeside Historical Society
Governors Ball
to be held at the Cape side Yat Club
this Saturday at 7PM
RSVP as soon as possible to
Mr.& Mrs. Valentine

Along with the invite there was a note attached which read

Dear Liz,
Please be my date to the Ball.
It would mean the world to me.

Chapter Twenty Five

Dawson finished looking over the finally revisions to his cast list and smiled. He was pleased with his choice of casting and was sure that each and every single person he picked could bring his characters to life and allow people to get enthralled in their story.

"Hey Dawson" A voice said as Dawson looked to see who it was.

"Pacey what brings you here?" Dawson said smiling as he placed his clip board down.

"Oh well Jo and I are going for a sail on True Love and I was wondering of you would want to come. Jen and Jack are already at the pier and Andy is picking up some snacks and drinks." Pacey said looking at his over worked friend.

"That actually sounds like a great idea. I need a night out after finishing up the casting for Double Vision." Dawson said as he sighed and got up from his desk.

"OK cool. I'm driving lets go." Pacey said as he reached into his pocket and grabbed his keys and he and Dawson left his room.

"How’s my favorite girlfriend this evening" Kyle said as he entered Tess's bedroom and kissed her.

"I am great." she said grinning. "So what’s up?" Tess said as she turned off her TV.

"Well I was thinking how about we grab some coffee and then check out the town and see the local baseball game. I think the Pawsoxs are playing tonight against the Ducks" Kyle said as he looked at her.

"Sounds good to me. You know me and baseball. I just love it! Let me just grab my jacket." Tess said as she grabbed her jacket and put on a baseball cap.

"OK I am all set." She said smiling as her and Kyle walked hand in hand out of her room.

"Boy Whitman I have to hand it to you last night was priceless. How did you learn all of those moves?" Chris asked as he and Alex relaxed in the hot tub.

"Well I have my cousin to thank for that. He was a stripper at a Ladies Club for a while after he graduated high school." Alex said laughing as he drank his drink.

"Really a stripper that's impressive. I bet he got all of the ladies." Chris said laughing.

"Oh of course I'll have to know it runs in the genes in my family woman love us." Alex said smiling. "I mean take Isabel for example there is no denying that she can not resist me." Alex said grinning.

"Yeah well at least your charms work. Could you rub some of them on to me? I am having some hell of a time trying to get the girl I want." Chris said as he took a sip of his drink.

"Oh don't be so hard on yourself. She will come around. I mean like they always say 'People don't fall in love with what’s right in front of them. People want the dream...what they can't have. The more unattainable, the more attractive.' Well that's according to my cousin Xander." Alex said shrugging his shoulders and took another sip of his drink.

Chris smiled. "I'm sure your right. Wait you said Xander? What's your cousin’s last name? Chris said as his ears perked up hearing the name.

"Harris. Why?"

"Oh my god Xander Harris is your cousin no way. I know him" Chris said in shock.

Alex almost choked on his drink. "What you know my cousin how?" he said surprised.

"I went to SunnyDale High with him" Chris said looking at Alex.

"Wait do you know Buffy?"

"Yeah Buffy Summers, Willow, Oz, Xander, I know them all" Chris said in excitement.

"Wow that’s too weird." Alex said shacking his head over the strange quittance.

"Yeah who would have thought I would meet Xander Harris's cousin. So how is he?" Chris said laughing.

"Oh he is doing awesome still in California and still really close to Buffy and the rest of the gang. Oh and yes they are still into the whole Gothic vampire scene. Let me tell you I went to visit him once and the people out there are weird, so no wonder they think they are surrounded by Vampires.

I mean even the guy Buffy is dating Spike I think his name is calms he is one. I swear it must be something in the water out there." Alex said laughing.

"Yeah it's defiantly something in the water I was into the whole scene for a while as well. Never a dull moment in Sunnydale that’s for sure. I miss those days sometimes but I am so happy I ended up my high school years in Capeside with The Creekers less drama but I do miss Buffy. Damn that woman was some sexy blond bombshell." Chris said laughing.

"Oh my god you can say that again I meet her once and she was defiantly hot. I guess it's true what they say about those California girls." Alex said laughing.

"You know I dated her." Chris said grinning.

"What no way Buffy Summers wow you defiantly score points in my book. I can't believe my cousin Xander is friends with her. She is quite a catch." Alex said grinning as he took a sip from his drink.

"That she is. Next time you talk to your cousin Xander tell him and Buffy I say hi." Chris said smiling.

"Sure thing. I might actually see them later this summer so I will defiantly tell them you send your regards." Alex said smiling.

"You’re alright Whitman." Chris said as he slapped him on the back and smiled. "Thanks. I think we should get out before he shrivel up and look like prunes." Alex said as he and Chris got out of the hot tub and grabbed their towels.

"So Maxwell I hear you got the lead. Congrats." Michael said as they eat their pizza at the local pizza place.

"Thanks." Max said as he took a bit of his pizza.

"So who is the leading lady?" Michael said as he drank his soda.

"Liz" Max sighed as Michael looked at him and smiled.

"Wow what are the odds. So you guys are going to be working together. Long hours, close surroundings, last minute practices that go late into the night, you know what they said about those late night rehearsals."

"Michael" Max said defiantly as Michael laughed. "What I am just saying it could lead to something." He said grinning at his embarrassed friend.

"Look I am taking things slow with Liz we are friends that’s all." Max said as he grabbed his soda and took a sip.

"Right Just Friends whatever you say" Michael said shrugging his shoulders.

"So how was clubbing?" Max asked trying to change the subject.

"It was great. You should have seen Tess, Courtney, and Vickie they danced on stage, Vickie made out with the bar tender, Alex stripped for Isabel, I danced with Maria, Tess and Courtney danced on the bar to pour some sugar on me..."

"Wait back up there what happened?" Max said shocked as he looked at Michael.

"Tess and Courtney danced on the bar?"

"No before that you danced with Maria aka Blondie?" Max said raising an eye brow to his friend.

"Yeah I ran into her, well actually she ran into me." Michael said laughing remembering how Maria bumped into him. "So we made a deal I won't call her Blondie for the rest of the night if she would dance with me. Well one dance turned into a few and before I knew it Isabel was dragging her away from me to go home." Michael said laughing.

"Lucky Izzy did or else you two might have killed one another." Max said grinning.

"No she is actually not that bad. I mean she can be a spit firer at times but over all she is not that bad." Michael said as he shoved a piece of pizza into his mouth.

"Wow I never thought I would see the day when Michael Gurien actually fell for someone." Max said laughing.

"Shut up. I didn't fall for her. In fact I find her annoying that girl has a motor mouth that need to be cut off she could talk until your ears bleed. I swear she is not human because no one can talk with out taking a breath. I swear she doesn’t breath." Michael said annoyed as Max laughed even harder.

"Ha Ha I am glad you think that this is so funny Maxwell considering I could be suffering from major hearing lose because of that girl." Michael said as he finished eating the rest of his pizza as Max smiled.

Chris was making his way into the kitchen after he checked his messages on his cell phone. Todd had called him saying that he was having another party in a few weeks being his parents were going out of town again and would love it if he could make it.

He also got a message from his parents saying how they would be arriving home at the end of the week.

He sighed as he clicked off his cell phone only to be attacked by a great big huge hug.

"Oh my god Chris you are so sweet of course I will be your date to the ball." Liz said as she hugged him.

"Wow really?" Chris said surprised to Liz's reaction towards him.

"Of course. Thank you. That was so romantic of you." Liz said beaming.

"Well you know me Mr. Romance." Chris said a little taken aback as he smiled at her.

"I can't wait! It is going to be so much fun!" Liz said smiling.

"Yes it is. Capeside holds it every year. It's a tradition for the high society of Capeside to get together and help keep the history of Capeside alive and well." Chris said grinning. His magic touch was back and he couldn't be happier to have Liz in his arms again.

"My parents are going to be there as well." Chris said as he let go of her.

"Really I would love to meet them." Liz beamed.

"They are going to love you." Chris said smiling as he looked into her eyes.

"Well I have to go and get ready I am going out with Maria, Alex and Isabel for coffee if you want to come?" Liz said looking up at him.

"Love to" Chris said grinning as Liz smiled and left the kitchen.

Chris then pulled out his cell phone and dialed a number.

"Hey Isabel the Wolf is back. She said yes. By Saturday it will be a sealed deal. He won't no what hit him. No need to worry the estate will be ours by the end of the month." Chris said smiling as he flipped his phone closed and sighed as his plan was finally working.

Kyle and Tess sat down and drank their coffee enjoying the lovely summer night. "It's so nice to spend time with you." Kyle sighed as he looked at Tess.

"Yes things have been so crazy between cheerleading summer camp and helping out at the hard wear store I barely have time to see you." Tess said as she drank her coffee.

"Yeah football camp is killing me as well. I will be glad when it is the end of the month and we are both free." he said as he took hold of her hand as she smiled.

"Well at least we will see one another at Dawson play. Helping out on customs should be fun. I already have some ideas as to what I want to make." Tess said smiling.

"Yeah you are pretty handy with that needle." Kyle said laughing.

"Yeah well you should know I practically made all of your Christmas presents last year." Tess said smiling as she drank her coffee.

"Yeah I love those PJ's. I can't wait for tonight's game." Kyle said excited.

"Me too." Tess said smiling and then groaned when she spotted a group of people and a tall blond leading the way into the shop.

"We can leave?" Kyle suggested as he saw the panic on Tess's face. "No that’s ok.We have every right to be here as much as they do" Tess said smiling at him.

"Oh hey it’s Kyle and Tess right?" Liz said walking over to them smiling.

"Oh Liz so nice to see you." Kyle and Tess said as they got up and hugged her.

"We were just getting some coffee. Alex, Maria and the others are over there." Liz said as she watched them order.

"Hey Liz we got a table over there." Alex said as he made his way over to her.

"Oh Hi." Alex said greeting Kyle and Tess. "Nice to see you again Alex." They said smiling.

"Oh no tell me that is not a New York Yankees T-shirt you are wearing!" Tess said looking at Alex in disgust.

'What’s wrong with the Yankees?" Alex asked looking at Tess.

"Well in case you haven't noticed this is Red Sox Nation over here!" Isabel said annoyed seeing the Alex was causing trouble.

"Either you jump on the band wagon or you better take that shirt off" Tess said as Alex looked at her dark blue hat which had the B for Boston in red for the Red Sox.

"Oh no!" Liz groaned she knew all to well what was coming and she wasn't going to be a part of this fight.

"No I am not taking this shirt off. NY Yankess rule! The best team out there! We have won more World Series then you guys combined." Alex said beaming with pride.

"Well at least we stuck by our team for 86 years!" Tess cried.

"Yeah and it will take you another 86 to win another so you better enjoy it while you can" Alex said smiling.

"Yeah well the Yankees suck anyway!" Kyle said as he took a sip of his coffee.

"Yeah well you guys are just sorry that you got ride of the Babe and he went to New York. All I have to say is 1918!" Alex cried as he smiled with pride.

"Oh whatever Alex the 1918 cruse is broken anyway remember we beat your team in Yankee Stadium no less and went on to win the 2004 World Series our first win since 1918! So there!" Isabel fumed.

"Yeah well just you wait this year we are after blood and will kill you all." Alex hissed as firer grew in his eyes.

"Oh is that so. New Mexico boy! You’re not even from New York! I at least I am from Boston and root for my own home team!" Tess cried as she walked up closer to Alex.

"Ok guys enough I am sick of this constant back and forth between New York and Boston can't we all just get along." Maria said getting in between the two of them.

"Great we are causing a scene. Thanks a lot Alex! You had to wear that shirt!" Isabel cried annoyed as she looked at him.

"Sorry about Tess one thing is don't mess with her Red Sox or she will have your head literally." Kyle said laughing.

"Look I am sorry Tess. I might be a fan of my Yankees but I have to give you guy’s credit for winning. You gave us a run for our money that’s for sure you deserve it. Please lets start over I think we got off on the wrong foot." Alex said pleading with Tess as she stared at him.

She then smiled. "Ok look I am sorry I don't know what came over me. Please forgive me." Tess said as she looked at him.

"You’re forgiven. But I have to say you have the better looking team. Damn those Yankees are fine." Tess said grinning as Alex laughed.

"Truce. I won't bother you about your team if you don't bother me about mine. Deal?" Tess said extending her hand.

"Deal" Alex said as they shook on it.

"I think I am going to cry. If only New York and Boston could handle there problems this way. That was just beautiful" Kyle said sniffling as he pretended he was crying.

Everyone laughed seeing Kyle’s expression. "OK well I think we have had enough drama for one night. I just wanted to drink my coffee and get out of here in one piece" Isabel said annoyed as she went back to her table were Chris was.

"Nice to see you too Isabel." Tess said in a low voice and then smiled at Liz, Alex, and Maria.

"So what are you guys doing tonight?" Liz asked.

"We are going to the Pawsox and Ducks town baseball game." Kyle said glowing.

"Oh awesome sounds like fun." Maria said smiling.

"That’s great. I always enjoy a good baseball game." Liz said smiling.

"So Liz are you a Yankees fan as well?" Tess asked looking at her.

"No Alex is the only one who is. I am a Twins fan." Liz said beaming.

"Well there is nothing wrong with the Minnesota Twins they are did pretty well last season. It would be nice to see them in the World Series." Kyle said beaming.

"Yeah they were so close. I really hope I see the day when they win again like in 91." Liz said smiling.

"Well don't give up hope. I mean look at Boston." Tess said as she smiled and finished her coffee.

"That’s true you got to have faith and believe." Liz said with a glimmer of hope in her eyes.

"I would love to see the Chicago Cubs win and break there 1945 curse with the bill goat. You know the story how Billy Sianis and his pet billy goat Sinovia were kicked out of Wrigley Field and he cursed them for it and since then they have not won a World Series since 1945. I mean Chicago deserve some credit and needs a win." Maria said adding to the conversation.

"Yeah that would be awesome" Alex said excited.

"Well we really have to go. It was great seeing you Kyle and Tess enjoy your night." Liz said grinning.

"You too." they both said.

"Well I got to head back sorry for the drama. Tess if you ever get tickets to a game I would love to go. I have always wanted to go to Fenway Park." Alex said smiling.

"OK as long as you promise me that you take me to Yankee stadium one day." Tess said smiling.

"I think I can do that. Great seeing you guys. Enjoy the game." Alex said as he waved goodbye to them and headed back to the table for some coffee and relaxation on the exciting summer night.

A/N I am a huge Baseball fan and I just had to add my love for the sport into this story some how.

I am a NY Yankee fan (but I will root for the Mets as well got to support my NY teams) so I know all about the rival between NY and Boston. I was in Boston when the Red Sox won the 2004 World Series it was crazy. I don't think I will ever experience something like it ever again. However I am happy for Boston you deserve it!

I just love the history of this game as well all the info about curses and World Series are true for all of you Baseball fans out there! What can I say I love this game! Hope you enjoyed this chapter!

Chapter Twenty Six

"OK let me first start off this rehearsal by saying that you all did an amazing job trying out. It was hard to decide who was going to play who but in the end I think I made the right decision. I hope you are all happy with your character." Dawson said before he got his clip board and started reading off the cast list.

"OK Joey you are playing Holly a singer. Pacey you are playing Rick Blackwell the club owner. Alex you are playing Charles Carver worker at Blackwell's club. Your love interest Lilly May will be played by Isabel." Dawson said as Isabel groaned as Alex smiled.

"OK Jen I know you are helping out with props but you will be playing Karen it's a small role so you need not to worry." Dawson said smiling.

"That’s fine with me my body is merely a vessel." Jen said laughing.

"OK moving on Jack you will be playing Kenny another worker of Blackwell's. Andy you will be playing Rosemary another small role being you are helping me with directing.” Dawson said as he checked off his list.

"OK sounds good to me." Andy said as she took notes.

"OK lets see playing Fox's gang will be Todd you will be playing Tommy Shellow Nathanial’s hit man. Sort of like his second in command. Drue you will be playing Stan Silver another Mobster. Kyle you will be playing Matt Madom another mobster." Dawson said as he looked at them.

"Sounds good to us." All three of them said as they shrugged their shoulders.

"What’s he doing here?" Maria whispered to Isabel as she spotted Michael. "Who knows the petting zoo must of lost one of there own." Isabel smirked.

"Maria" Dawson said as he looked up from his call sheet. "Yes." she said smiling.

"You will be playing Betty Osorio who is the shinning star of Blackwell's night Club." Dawson said as Maria screamed in delight.

"Aw watch it Maria I think I just lost my hearing." Michael said as he rubbed his ears.

"Aw you’re just jealous. What are you doing here anyway?" Maria asked annoyed as she looked at him.

"Camera and tech crew." Michael said looking at her.

"Alright can you stop talking so we can get this finished so we can leave on time today?" Dawson said as he interrupted the bicker between Michael and Maria.

"Tess I know you are doing costumes but you are also playing Dixie Heart. She is an exotic dancer and singer and really involved with the mob as well." Dawson said looking at Tess.

"So basically I am playing the Mob Stripper." Tess said as she blinked her eyes in shocked at Dawson.

"Um well that’s one way of putting it I guess." Dawson said as he scratched his head.

"Tess you can be my Exotic dancer any day!" Kyle yelled as he laughed and wiggled his eye brows.

"OK Kyle as long I can have an affair with you and not get killed by the Mob Leader I will be willing to risk my life if it involved stripping for you." Tess said as she smiled innocently as Kyle.

"You have your stripper Dawson but we are going to need a pole" Tess said laughing as everyone cracked up.

"Alright everyone settle down. Ok now for the leads. Playing the part of the Mob leader Nathanial Fox will be Chris. The detective James Blane will be Max and the famous Lady Luck singer Yvonne White will be played by Liz."
Dawson said as everyone clapped and congratulated everyone on a job well done.

Rehearsal finally finished as Dawson handed out the filming schedule as everyone started to leave.

"Oh I forgot the road trip to Boston will be Fourth of July weekend. I talked to Charlie and we are good to go. Here is the info for the jig we have that night at the Purple Shamrock." Jen said smiling.

"I figure we get to Boston early do a little sigh seeing watch the Boston Pops and the fireworks on the river Charles and then we can head over to Quincy Market and have drinks and party at the Purple Shamrock while we listen to Charles band." Jack said beaming as the group was all excited for the fourth.

"Aw this is going to rock!" Alex cried smiling.

"Sounds great Jack and Jen thanks for putting everything together." Maria said excited.

"No problem you guys are going to have a blast!" they said as everyone left rehearsal.

"Oh hey Pacey I found out who it was." Liz said as she ran up to him after rehearsal.

"Aw so Romeo finally showed his true colors. So who was it?" Pacey said looking at her.

"It was Chris. He gave me a Day Lilly at the club to congratulate me and then I got an invitation to capesides Historical Ball with a note from him asking if I would be his date." Liz beamed.

"Wow Chris um and he gave you a Day Lilly not the choice I would of gone with. It means flirt but anyway what did you say to him about the Ball?" Pacey asked intrigued.

"Of course I said yes. He was so happy I was going with him." Liz said glowing.

"Well I am glad you finally found out who your secret admirer was. You two should have a great time. I am glad it all worked out." Pacey said happy to see Liz smile.

"Me too. I can't wait to start working on the play. It should be fun." Liz beamed as they walked down the street. "Yes I have a feeling we are in for quite a ride." Pacey said laughing.

Max finished writing in his journal when he put it tucked in a safe spot under his bed and headed down stairs to their parent’s library to grab something to read.

"Catching up on some reading my alter ego?" Chris said as he entered the library. "See anything interesting like the family account books." Chris spat as Max looked at him.

"Nice to see you too Chris. Congrats on the play." Max said as he grabbed a book from one of the shelves.

"Thanks. Oh speaking of the family the Rents called. They should be coming home from vacationing in Reno this Saturday." Chris said as his eyes scanned the bookshelf.

"Alright." Max said as he looked at Chris before he started to leave.

"Aw here it is. Capeside a History almost every historical estate and artifact the town has recorded." Chris said as he grabbed the book and opened it on one of the large wooden tables.

"Have to brush up on my history if I am going to be ready by Saturday." Chris said as Max stopped and looked at him.

"You mean for the Capeside Historical society Ball?" Max asked as he raised an eye brow looking at his brothers display of behavior.

"Have to be able to impress the high society of Capeside as well as The Valentines and Liz" Chris said as his eyes skimmed the page.

"Liz?"

Chris then closed the book. "Oh Liz is going with me to the Historical society Ball. You know how the saying goes the early bird catches the worm." Chris smirked. "Why were you going to ask her?" Chris said as he eyes gleamed with firer.

"Fine Chris take Liz to the Ball. But one day she is going to see who you really are." Max spat as he looked at his brother as his blood boiled.

"Not if I can help it. By Saturday she will be putty in my hand. We will see what Mommy and Daddy have to say about her." Chis said as he laughed.

"We shall see Chris we shall see." Max said as he stormed out of the library as Chris's laughter echoed in his ears.

Chapter Twenty Seven

Liz finished putting the finally touches to her outfit as she looked at her self in her floor length mirror. She was wearing strapless dress that came to her knees and tied in the back into a beautiful chiffon bow.

She wore black sandals and her hair was pinned up into a lose bun. The dress was green making anyone who saw her jealous with envy as she grabbed her purse.

"Wow you look stunning." Chris said in shock as he saw as he walked up to her in her room. Chris was all dressed up to the nines in a black tux and his hair was slicked back as he grabbed Liz's hand and kissed it.

"Thank you." Liz said smiling as she blushed. "But there is something missing." Chris said as he opened up a velvet box and draped an elegant diamond necklace around Liz's neck as he placed a kiss on her neck.

She gasped as she touched the necklace. "Chris this is too much." Liz said shocked as she looked at her reflection in the mirror.

"Nothing is too much for you Liz. You know there is nothing I would never deny you. Nothing I could never give you.” Chris whispered as he touched her shoulders.

Liz turned around and looked at him. "Thank you Chris it's beautiful." Liz smiled. "Shall we." Chris said as Liz took her arm as they left her room.

"Come on Max we are going to be late!" Isabel yelled as she and Todd waited for her brother who hurried down the stairs.

"Sorry Isabel." Max said as he finished tying his bow tie. "It took you long enough. Mom and Dad are going to have a fit if we are late." Isabel sighed as she looked at her distressed brother.

"Relax Isabel. Mom and Dad will be fine." Max said looking at her.

"Well have fun tonight. I wish I could go with you guys." Maria said as she looked at Isabel and Max.

"I wish you could too but the historical society as all of these rules about members and what not." Isabel said as she looked at her friend.

"Wow Isabel you look breathtaking." Alex sighed as he saw her in her long blue strapless dress.

"Thanks." Isabel smiled as she linked arms with Todd. "You’re not wearing the earrings I gave you?" Todd said looking at her. "I didn't think it was necessary." Isabel said looking at him. "I told you to wear them." Todd said firmly.

"Alright I will be right back." Isabel said as she hurried up the stairs. "Woman" Todd sighed shacking his head as Alex looked at him.

Liz entered with Chris as Max almost fell to the floor at the sight of her. How could she be more beautiful then she already was he wondered as he looked at her and smiled.

"Hi Liz. You look...beautiful." He said breathlessly. "Thanks you don't look so bad yourself." Liz said as she saw him. Not so bad who was she kidding he looked gorgeous in his black tux as she slightly blushed and smiled.

"OK I am all ready let’s go." Isabel said as she finished putting on her earrings as she hurried down the stairs. "Much better" Todd said as he took Isabel’s hand. They then took a few quick photos and headed towards the huge black stretch limo outside

"Have fun." Maria and Alex said as they watched them drive off into the night.

The party was in full swing as the five of them entered. An array of evening dressed and tuxes graced the huge catering hall as music played and people danced and mingled as they made their way toward the assigned table.

"Max, Isabel, Chris. It's great to see you." a woman said as she hugged her children. "Oh Isabel that color does nothing for you complexion. I though you would go with a red." Isabel mom said as she inspected her.

"Sorry mom. I guess I will have to remember that next time." Isabel said in a low voice. "Oh Todd it's great to see you. You mom and dad were just looking for you. I hear your studies in law are going well." Isabel’s mom said as she hugged him.

"Yes Mrs. Evans they are going well." Todd said as he hugged her and then left to mingle with Isabel.

"Oh where my manners Chris who is this stunning woman with you?" Mrs. Evans said as she looked at the small brown haired girl on her son's arm. "Oh mom this is Liz Parker. Daughter of Jeff Parker owner of the Crash 47 Hotel and casino. Liz is studying at Harvard and is going to be a Molecular biologist. Liz this is my mom." Chris said beaming with pride.

"It's so nice to meet you Mrs. Evans." Liz beamed as she shook her hand. "Oh please call me Diana. This is Phillip my husband. Phillip Liz Parker." Diana beamed as Phillip shook Liz's hand. "Well Chris I am impressed you finally picked a good one." Diana said smiling at her son.

"Oh Max I didn't even see you there. Where is your date tonight?" Diana said looking at her son.

"Oh um there was a change of plans she ended up going with someone else." Max said as he looked at Chris. "Oh honey you should always have a back up just incase. Pam Troy would have been more then willing to go." Diana said as she took a sip of her wine.

"Thanks mom I will remember that. Excuse me." Max said as he made his way towards the bar.

"Well Liz it was a pleasure meeting you. I hope to see more of you in the future." Diana smiled. "Oh I am sure you will. See you later mom and dad." Chris said as he waved good bye as he and Liz made their way towards the dance floor.

"Well I think I can help with that." Todd said as he slipped out a bottle of rum from his coat making sure only Drue and Isabel could see. "My parents got this in Bermuda last month. Its amazing stuff so we can have a little party of our own later." Todd said as he slipped the bottle back into his jacket.

"Sounds good to me." Drue said as he down his glass of champagne. The song Temptation waits by Garbage started playing. "Let’s dance Isabel?" Todd said as he led her on to the dance floor.

"So Liz are you having fun so far?" Chris said as they danced. "Yes this is amazing. Thank you for inviting me." Liz said smiling as they danced.

Max looked at Chris and Liz dancing as he downed another drink as Chris eyed him and gave him an evil stare.

Max then left the bar and tried to find Isabel. Chris spotted Isabel on the dance floor with Todd and exchanged a look of approval as Isabel and Chris smiled before he turned and look Liz in the eye.

Max saw Isabel on the dance floor and tried to walk up to her when he was encountered by Pam Troy. "Care to dance Max" she said blocking his view as she grabbed him before he had time to protest and started dancing with him.

"You know Liz I know we said that we would take things slow but...you are so beautiful and all I want to do is kiss you. That is if you will let me." Chris said shyly. "Um Chris...I..." She sighed but before she could answer Chris's lips came crashing against hers.

"Oh what was that Todd?" Isabel said as she turned to look at Todd as she saw her brother Chris kissing Liz. "I said do you want to get some air." He whispered. "Sure." Isabel said as she left with Todd.

Max tried with all his might to get out of the clutches of Pam Troy but it was no use. He was trapped as she held him close.

Chris and Liz held each other close as they kissed each other on the dance floor giving in to their desire as Chris started kissing down her neck as she panted for air. "Chris" she said breathlessly as he placed hot kisses along her bear shoulders and then kissed her lips as the last cords of the song echoed.

Max out of the corner of his eye saw the whole display of Chris and Liz making out as jealously raged through his blood as he practically pushed Pam off of him and made his way towards them. As the song Le Tango De Roxanne from the Moulin Rouge started to play.

"Chris." Liz said breathlessly as she broke away from him as she tried to catch her breath as she walked around him as they stared to tango to the song.

"Oh Max. Um look Chris and I were just..." Liz said as she looked at him and then Chris.

"Dance with me." Max said as he grabbed her away from Chris as he held her close to him as they stared to dance and sway as they started a tango of there own as Liz’s leg wrapped around him as he dipped her.

Chris was livid as he grabbed Liz's hand and pushed her away from Max as he spun Liz around as she crashed into Chris’s chest as they started to dance seductively as Max watched in distress.

Chris then spun Liz around and dipped her as Max then grabbed Liz's arm as they started dancing to the music as Chris looked at his brother in shock.

Chris grabbed Liz and started dancing with her again as Max heard his sisters yelling from afar. Liz spun in the middle of them as Max and Chris grabed and exchanged Liz between the both of them causing a mini tug of war between the two of them as they each danced with her.

"STOP IT TODD!" Isabel cried as she slapped Todd. "Oh come on Izzy it will be fun!" Todd slurred as he tore the side of her dress. "STOP IT!" Isabel cried as she tried to get him off her.

Max saw his sister’s distressed state as he let go leaving Liz in the arms of Chris as they continued to dance as he hurried to help Isabel.

"MAX HELP ME!" Isabel cried as tears ran down her cheeks as Todd grabbed her. Max then punched out Todd as he fell to the floor. "DON'T YOU EVER TOUCH MY SISTER AGAIN!" Max spat as Todd rubbed his cheek as blood ran from his nose.

ROXANNE!

"I SWEAR IF YOU EVER LAY A FINGER ON HER AGAIN YOU WILL HAVE MORE THEN A FAT LIP! DO I MAKE MYSELF CLEAR?" Max hissed as he grabbed Todd's shirt. "Yes ok." He said hoarsely.

"Are you ok?" Max asked softly as he looked at his distressed sister as he let go of Todd's shirt. "Um..fine. Please can we go home." she said in a shacking voice as Max wrapped his arm around her as the left the crowed dance floor.

However Liz and Chris had no idea what happened they were too caught up in there own world as Liz kissed him and this time Chris knew he finally had Liz's Parkers heart right in his grasp as he kissed her back.

Chapter Twenty Eight

"Oh Isabel honey you are making a big deal out of nothing. So you ripped your dress you can always get another one." Mrs. Evans said as she saw Isabel crying with Max's arm around her.

"Enough mom." Max said coldly as they walked out of the hall. It still shocked him as to how stupid his parents could be as he walked Isabel to the limo as she cried on his shoulder.

"Is she ok?" Alex asked concerned as Max helped Isabel towards her room. "What happened?" Maria asked concerned as her and Alex ran up the stairs.

"I am going to need some towels, ice and a few bandages." Max said as he placed Isabel on to her bed.

Alex and Maria hurried to get the stuff as Max tried to consol his weeping sister. "Isabel you have to look at me. I have to see your eye." Max said softly as Isabel slowly opened her swollen eye. Max then looked at it in the light. It was defiantly puffy but nothing was damaged as he placed a cold towel on her eye.

He then looked at the starches on her arm. Her small wounds were bleeding as Max cleaned and tended to her wounds. She winched slightly as he placed alcohol on them but soon relaxed as Max bandaged her up.

"Isabel what happened?" Max asked seeing his sister was ready to talk as she wiped her tears.

"Well I was outside with Drue and Todd to get some air. Well Drue had a few already and Todd opened up a bottle of Gin he smuggled into the party. It was hidden in his coat. So we all started drinking next thing I knew I was on the ground and... and..." Isabel then started shacking as tears fell down her face.

"And Todd... Todd…well tried to sleep with me." Isabel said as she burst into tears as Max hugged her. "Shh Isabel its ok." Max whispered.

"I AM GOING TO KILL HIM" Alex yelled as rage filled his body as he watched Isabel cry. "Alex calm down." Maria said as she looked at him.

"Thank god you were there Max to help me." Isabel said as she sobbed on into his shoulder. "They didn't I mean?" Max said as he rubbed his sisters back. "No you saved me just in time." Isabel sniffed as tears feel down her face.

"Shh you are safe Isabel." Max said as he felt his sister's shacking body relax. "Come on lets get to ready for bed." Max said as Isabel wiped her eyes. They then got Isabel out of her dress and into her PJ's as they tucked her into bed.

"Do you want anything?" Alex asked when Isabel was in bed. "No thank you." Isabel said as she shook her head. "Well I am going to get you some tea and some more ice." Maria said as her and Alex headed downstairs.

Once they left the room Isabel started to cry. "Oh god Max I am a horrible person. I deserved this." She said as looked at him.

"Isabel don't blame yourself." Max said as he placed a cold towel on her forehead.

"No I am a horrible person. I feel terrible. Especially how I treat you. I mean I am so mean to you and yet you were the first person to come running when I needed help the most. Why?" She sobbed as she looked at him with tear stained eyes.

"Because despite everything I love you. Your my sister that will never change." Max said as he squeezed Isabel’s hand. "Thank you" Isabel said as she smiled at him.

"I love you too. Even if I don't express it I do love you." Isabel said as she smiled at him. "I know you do Isabel." Max said as he kissed her forehead. "Shh rest now Isabel." he said softly as he went downstairs to check on Alex and Maria.

"So did you have fun tonight?" Chris asked Liz as they walked arm and arm towards the limo. "Yes I had a wonderful time. Thank you for asking me." Liz said smiling. "I am just happy you said yes." Chris said as he kissed her.

"Oh Chris there you are. Your sister had to go home. She had some dress emergency and you know Izzy if one hair is out of place she dies." Mrs. Evans sighed as she looked a Chris.

"Woman of course you can understand Liz where I am coming from." Diana said looking at her. "Right Mrs. Evans." Liz said as she smiled.

"I hope she will be alright?" Liz said in concern. "Oh she will be fine honey. Mrs. Evans said as she got into the limo. "Well have fun you two." she said smiling as the driver closed the door.

Chris and Liz watched the limo leave. "So what do you want to do?" Liz said looking up at Chris. "Well I can think of a few things." he said seductively as he kissed her.

"Really well then I would like to see just what you have in mind." Liz said grinning as Chris smiled as they climbed into the limo.

"How is she doing?" Alex asked concerned as Max left Isabel in her room to get some sleep. "She is ok I guess I mean I never seen her like this before." Max sighed as he walked down stairs with Alex.

"Wait you mean this is not the first time?" Alex said distressed.

"No Isabel would never let anyone hit her. I mean I was just glad I was there before something horrible happened. She is lucky she didn't have to go to the hospital." Max said in shock as he recalled the events of what happened.

"Yeah she is lucky to have you as a brother." Alex said smiling.

"She's lucky she has someone who cares so much about her like you do. Todd was way to controlling. But then that was Isabel’s life. You see my parents are not too loving they did the best they could raising me, Chris, and Isabel but most of the time they were too busy with their own lives to care about ours." Max sighed as he sat down on the couch next to Alex.

"My parents were always critical of Isabel. Like she could never measure up or there was something wrong with her instead of looking at what was really bothering her. They would always brush her off. That why she is so closed off and critical of people she meets. I mean I honestly can't remember the last time I actually heard her laugh until you came around." Max said as he looked at Alex.

"Thanks." Alex said smiling. "For the first time I am seeing her open up more and more. It's really nice to have my sister back. The sister I know and love before she became the Ice Princess." Max said a little choked up as he looked at Alex.

"Don't worry Isabel is in good hands I would never break her heart." Alex smiled as he patted Max on the back.

"I know you are a good one Alex since the beginning I knew. So I trust you with my sister and know you would never hurt her." Max sighed. "Oh sorry for the sad story about my life." Max said looking at Alex. "That’s ok man. I don't mind. You know what this calls for?" Alex said looking at Max.

"What?" Max said raising an eye brow. "Us getting drunk. Come on sharing sad storied while we drown our sorrows away while we bond what do you say?" Alex said as his eyes gleamed with excitement. "Sure what the hell. There is a bottle of red wine in the cabinet in the kitchen." Max said as Alex jumped up and headed towards the wine cabinet.

Chris as Liz pinned down in the limo as he placed kissed down her neck and held her close as they made out. "Chris" Liz moaned as she felt his hands roaming his body as kissed her neck. She then kissed him as she threaded her hands through his hair as she shifted and lifted her legs so he could get closer to her.

"Do you how much I wanted to do this you all night." Chris said breathlessly as he passionately kissed her. "Really?" Liz said in shock. "Mmmm Parker what you do to me." Chris said as he kissed her passionately as he started to untie the bow in the back on her dress.

"What do I do to you?" Liz said seductively as she whispered into his ear as she nibbled on his ear lob. "If you don't stop doing that I am going to have to show you." Chris moaned as he looked at her. "Then I don't plan on stopping." Liz smiled as Chris grinned as he kissed her.

The limo stopped at Chris's house and he and Liz got out still lip locked. "Where do you want to go?" Liz said out of breath. "The pool house is empty." Chris said arching an eye brow as he looked in the pool house direction. "Sounds good to me." Liz whispered as she kissed him as they headed towards the pool house.

"Oh my god you should of seen it Max I had all of West Roswell High going nuts with the talent show. The Whits rocked the place. I think to this day Maria and Liz are scared for life after I sang Hysteria by Def Leppard to them in frount of the entire school." Alex said as he poured him self another glass of wine.

"Yeah Liz told me." Max said laughing. "Wait she told you?" Alex slurred as he looked at him. "Yes she did." Max said as he drank his wine. "Wow she never talks about that unless it's to me and Maria." Alex said as he drank more of his wine.

"Well I guess I am lucky then." Max sighed. "You know you should go out with her man." Alex slurred as he hit Max on the shoulder.

Max laughed "Yeah sure Alex me and Liz it will never work. Besides after tonight's display I know her heart belong to Chris." Max sighed as he downed the rest of his wine.

"Damn that ashame because I know she really likes you." Alex sighed as he nearly dropped his glass of wine and laughed.

"Yeah right in your dreams Alex." Max sighed as he poured more of the wine.

"No she does my little Lizzie does I know because she get this glow in her eyes. It's soooo beautiful when you see it." Alex sighed as he fell on to the couch. "I love her I really do." Alex sighed.

"No Alex you love Isabel." Max laughed. "Oh I do but Lizzie I always loved her. She is so amazing I can't believe she would give a guy like me the time of day. She is my bbeesssttt fffrrriieenndd." Alex said as he grinned.

"You my friend are drunk." Max laughed. "So are you." Alex smiled. "Isn't this great." Alex grinned. "Yeah Alex really great. I lost the only girl I ever loved to my player brother. It’s the story of my life. Love will never come my way. I am going to be alone. All alone." Max sighed.

"Ha ha your so silly Max your not alone I am here." Alex said laughing.

"Yes you are drunk and happy while I am drunk and miserable." Max sighed as he looked at him. "Aw Max cheer up. You want to go and touchier Maria while she is sleeping?" Alex said excited.

"Sure Alex knock yourself out." Max said smiling as he watched Alex stumble to his feet. "Aw what is the room spinning?" Alex said rubbing his head.

"Don't worry my tongue feels heavy." Max said sleepily as Alex and him busted out laughing.

"Come on lets go touchier Maria." Max said as he and Alex stumbled up the stairs.

"God you are so beautiful." Chris said as he kissed Liz as they fell onto the bed. They assaulted one another with their lips as their desire rose to new heights as Chris started to run his hand up Liz's leg. "Chris" Liz sighed as he moved his hand further and further up her dress.

"Chris stop." Liz said as she grabbed his hand and placed it on the bed.

"What I was just having a little fun?" He said surprised as he looked at her. "Well stop. Please." Liz sighed as she looked into his eyes. "Ok" He said kissing her. They made out for a good hour before Liz glanced at the clock. "Wow we really should go." she sighed looking up at Chris.

"Yeah. You know Liz you are unlike any girl I have ever met before." Chris said looking at her. "Is that a bad thing?" She said looking into his amazing eyes. "No not at all. I like it." Chris grinned as he kissed her one last time before they left the pool house.

Chapter Twenty Nine

Isabel woke as she tried to open her eyes. Her one eye still hurt and her wounds still stung but for the most part she was ok. Just a little sore but over all was ok as she stretched and tried to get ready for the day.

"Hey you’re up." Max said smiling as he saw his sister enter the kitchen. "How are you feeling?" Max asked concerned as he looked at her. "A little sore but I will be ok." Isabel said as she poured herself a cup of coffee.

"Well just be glad you didn’t get a wake up call to the Silly String Monster!" Maria said laughing as she entered the kitchen and hugged Isabel. "What do you mean?" Isabel said looking at her brother and Maria.

"Oh last night Max and Alex attacked me with silly string. I looked like a rubber band ball by the time they were through with me. Oh and might I add they did this while they were drunk!" Maria cried as she laughed.

Isabel bust out into laughter as she looked at Maria. "I hope you took pictures. So where is Alex now?" She asked still laughing.

"Oh Alex is passed out on the couch had way too much to drink last night oh and don't worry we have pictures." Max said laughing as he eyed Alex sleeping on the blue couch.

"Let me see your eye Isabel." Max said as he looked at his sisters eye in the light. "It's still swollen and a little bruised." Max said as he looked at her. "Nothing a little makeup can't fix. I am just glad it's not too bad." Isabel sighed as she smiled weakly.

The three of them had breakfast and enjoyed the early morning as they all relaxed and got ready for the day.

"How about we relax and rent some movies?" Maria said as she looked at Isabel and Max. "That sounds good to me. I could use some relaxing." Isabel said as she sat down on the couch. "Where am I" Alex groaned as he opened his eyes. "Aw the light" He said as he covered his face.

"Some one is hung over." Maria smirked as she watched Alex blink his eyes and sit up. "I just need some breakfast and I will be fine." Alex sighed sleepily.

"Ok well while you are eating breakfast we are going to watch some movies." Maria said as Alex smiled. "Sounds good to me. How are you feeling Isabel?" Alex asked as he looked at her. "I am fine Alex." She said as she smiled at him.

"OK good." Alex said as he fell back asleep.

The rest of the day the group relaxed and watched movies enjoying there time together. "So Max where is mom and dad?" Isabel asked as she ate some of her pop corn.

"They are at the club and then are going sailing tonight on the docks." Max said looking at her.

"Figures so much for spending quality time with you kids." Isabel sighed.

"Did they say when they would be back?"

"Who knows" Max shrugged as he went upstairs to get ready to go out as Alex and Maria decided to take a short walked outside and enjoy the last of the summer rays as Isabel rested.

"So did Isabel solve her dress crisis? Mom told me." Chris said as he saw Max in the hallway.

"Yeah well did she tell you that Todd assaulted her? Or did she leave that detail out?" Max said coldly as he looked at his brother.

"Look Todd is not a bad guy. I am sure it wasn't any big deal then what Izzy is making it out to be." Chris sighed as he shrugged his shoulders.

"Well tell Isabel that after you see the wounds and her black eye. But I am sure it wasn't a big deal." Max said as he eyed Chris before he walked into his room.

Chris made his way downstairs as he saw Isabel resting on the couch as he entered. "Isabel are you ok?" Chris asked as he looked at her.

"I'm fine Chris. Thanks for helping me. Hope you and Liz had fun last night.Oh and you can tell mom that my dress crisis was solved." She said coldly as she got up and walked past him leaving him stunned.

"Oh hey Max." Liz said as she entered his room. "Hi Liz." Max said as he looked through this movies to bring to over Michaels.

"So I um heard from my parents today." Liz said as she watched him.

"That’s nice." Max said as he placed the movies into his backpack not once looking at her.

"Um yeah they are really doing well. It was nice to hear from them." Liz said slightly smiling.

Max didn't say anything as he zipped up his bag and but it over his shoulder.

"So um I was thinking if you wanted to run lines? You know practice for the play.” Liz said as she bit her lower lip.

"What play would that be Dawson’s or yours?" Max said as he looked at her.

"What do you mean?"

"Oh come on Liz it's oblivious you made your choice. Last night confirmed that." Max cried.

"Look Chris asked me and I was kind enough to go with him. I can't help what happened between us." Liz cried as she looked at Max.

"Sure just like Chris couldn't help his own sister." Max spat as he looked at her.

"What are you talking about!? Isabel torn her dress and was upset." Liz said as she stared at him.

"You want to know how Isabel tore her dress and why she was upset? Her dress was torn by Todd as he assaulted her and tried to rape her!" Max yelled.

Liz blinked her eyes. "I am so sorry." she said in a low voice.

"Save it. I don’t need your sympathy. You know for someone who is so smart you are so blind. I am tired of your games! You’re just as bad a Chris. You two deserve each other!" Max hissed as he grabbed his back pack and headed towards the door in a hurry.

"Max wait" Liz cried as she tried to explain but it was too late he was already gone.
