Title: And We Will Love
Author: Candice AKA CandyDreamQueen candedreamer@yahoo.com if you want to email me
Disclaimer: I don’t own Roswell, or the characters. Or anything. Damn!
Category: ME and LP Baby, oh and the rest of the peanut gallery too.
Rating: ADULT
Summary: This is a response to a challenge that I took from LoveIsForever. It’s number 17. I don’t know why I called it And We Will Love. It was just the first thing that popped in my head when I was typing it, and I like it for some reason. This might be a little confusing. The story is the same as Roswell but there are a few differences. Here are the new things. Liz never dated Kyle. There is no sheriff Valenti, and there is no FBI. Alex knows that Max, Michael, and Isabel are aliens because Liz and Maria told him somewhere along the road. But Liz dose keep a journal, and Michael did steal it and read it. So basically just imagine the same show minus the stuff that I mentioned. It picks up after Sexual Healing. Oh but the couples are all still the same. Max and Liz take their relationship to the next level. Of course not without consequence. If you want to know the whole story go and read the challenge but I really wish that you wouldn’t. It kinda gives away the ending. Though I will say if you do read the challenge know that the story isn’t going to go exactly how you think it is.
A/N: You can imagine why I’m a little confused as whether this is a CC story or an AU story. I however feel that there is still to many CC components left in the story for it to be a true AU fic. You will see what I mean when you read it. Any mods or administrators who feel that this story should be in the AU section, just let me know. (Takes deep breath…okay last thing I promise.) If you have read any of my stories then you know that saying Lalala before I start all of my chapters is just something that I do to clear my Writer’s Block. Dose it work? who’s to say, but I do it anyway. It’s just my way of distinguishing myself and all the other fabulous writer’s on this forum. (Okay now this is the last thing) I have not worked up a schedule for the updating on this story, but as soon as I work one out I’ll post it. Man that was the longest A/N I ever wrote. Well let’s get started.

Chapter One

<<<Liz’s Bedroom>>>

Max smiled as he looked over at the love of his life resting peacefully in sleep beside him. He watched as the dim light of the candles flickered across her smooth skin making it appear to glow. He smiled to himself as he placed a kiss on her shoulder and pulled her body against his. The sound of her content little sight along with the way she burrowed her body close to his caused his heart to swell over with love. They had done it. They had made love. And now she belonged to him forever. Nothing would ever separate them.

He watched as her eyes began to flutter softly behind her lids. Knowing that she would awaken soon Max leaned down and placed soft little butterfly kisses on the backs of her eye lids. Liz sighed as her eyes began to drift open at the touch of Max’s lips. She smiled up at him and brought his lips down to touch hers.

“Is this a dream?” she asked tracing the corner of his lips with hers.

“If it is I never ever want to wake up.” Max said intertwining their fingers.

Liz laughed softly and continued to kiss him. After several more minutes of kissing Max pulled away slightly, running his fingers through her hair that cascaded onto her pillow.

“How do you feel?” He asked eyeing her with concern. Liz smiled to herself. He was always thinking of her. It was one of the many reasons she loved him so much.

“I’m fine.” she reassured him.

Max sighed in relief before he placing another soft little kiss on her lips.

“Good.” he said.

Liz pulled Max back to her wrapping his arms back around her body as she rested her head on his chest and thought back to what they had just done. They had made love. Really made love. And it had been wonderful.

Earlier

She couldn’t stop touching him. She needed him, wanted him. He was like a drug that she couldn’t have her feel of. She never wanted to stop touching him, and she never wanted him to stop touching her. Her body was on fire. A raging inferno of lust. And the fevered pitch of the flame was glorious.

“Max!”

Liz moaned as she ground her body into his. It had all started out so innocently. Her parents had been away for the weekend, and she had invited Max to come over and study for their midterm on Monday. She had know that there would be a substantial amount of Sexual tension involved. What with everything that she an Max had been going through with the flashes. However she had also thought that she would be able to control herself. She had thought wrong. The moment that Max had stepped into the Crashdown it was as if the energy between them had become so sexually charged it was a wonder that they had been able to make it to Liz’s bedroom.

Whatever it was that she was feeling she knew that Max was feeling it too. And judging by the way he was rocking his arousal fiercely into her body it didn’t take a rocket scientist to figure that he was being affected just as strongly as she was.

“Max!” Liz moaned again as she felt his lips sucking gently on the crook of her throat. Ohh he was good at that. Running her hands through his hair Liz writhe into Max as she felt his hands began to roam underneath her shirt. Lifting her legs Liz wrapped them around Max’s thighs placing her feet against his calves and leaving her body open to his.

“I want you.” she said, her head literally spinning with the maddening desire coursing through her body. “I want you so much.” she whispered passionately.
Max groaned and dragged her body closer to his own over sexually stimulated one. Unable to have her close enough to him, and unable to be close enough to her.

“It’s not enough.” he breathed against her ear desperately. “It’s not nearly enough.”

-Flash-

Max and Liz’s naked bodies writhing together in ecstasy.

-Flash-

Max running his hands up Liz’s body to cup her breast.

-Flash-

Liz’s hands penned above her head by Max as he moved smoothly within her body.

-Flash-

Liz and Max both crying out in the grips of a powerful orgasm.

-End Flash-

“MMMAAXX!!” Liz cried out as she felt her body shudder in orgasm form her last flash. It felt as if a tidal wave had swept through her entire body leaving behind nothing but orgasmic bliss.

“Are you okay?”

The sound of Max’s voice was enough to bring Liz back to reality . However she was unable to form words as she gazed into the eyes of the man she knew would become her lover this night.

“Max,” she said once she was at last able to form words again. “I want you to make love to me.” she said meeting his beautiful hazel eyes with her own.

Max closed his eyes and then opened them again slowly. “I want that too Liz.” he said. “I want that more then anything else in the world.”

Those words were all that it took. The next thing either of them knew they were locked together in the fiercest lovers embrace any of the two of them had ever know. Heat to heat, skin to shin, heart to heart.

“I can’t believe this is happening.” Liz said as she lay naked next to Max in her bed. The room was awash in candlelight form the glow of the candles she placed around her room and Max had lit with his powers.

“I’ve always know that my first time would be with you.” Max whispered twining his fingers through her long luxurious hair. “Only with you.” he finished, then leaned over her body aligning it with his own.

“Yes.” Liz breathed a sigh as Max entered her body. He was full, incredibly so. It was exquisite. She couldn’t tell where her body ended and his began. They were truly one perfect being.

Max looked down at Liz and smiled. The experience was new for both of them. And the most beautiful thing was that they were experiencing it together. She was the most wonderful thing that he had ever felt. And as he was moved within her body for the first time he thought he had died and gone to heaven. Everything felt so vivid. Her movements, his own. The way their bodies touched, the way the didn’t. Everything. It was as phenomenal an experiences as taking a breath for the first time.

“I’ve never felt anything like this.” Max voiced his wonderment aloud.

“I know, neither have I.” Liz said shutting her eyes against the intense pleasure she was feeling.

Nevertheless, eventually the gentle rocking pace was not enough for either of them, and they soon sought more form each other. All that the other was willing to give. Their passion began to climb, escalating into much more then just simply making love, but until their two bodies were nothing more then a mass of sexual energy.

Max drove into Liz with the passion of only a man possessed by an unattainable desire could. Their bodies glistened with the perspiration of their passion as they moved together in their frenzy of love.

Liz could feel her orgasm approaching She felt it from the core of her body to the depth of her soul, and then it was upon her. She shuddered as the wave of pleasure cascaded through her entire body. It was magnificent. And then she felt the same shudder pass through Max’s body and into hers and she knew he was about to reach his peek.

Reaching up to him, Liz pulled Max lips down to hers and shared an explosive kiss with her lover as his body came inside hers.

Present:

Just the memory of what they had shared was enough to make Liz burn with remembered desire. She didn’t think that it was possible for her to be any happier then she was at this exact moment.

“I love you Liz Parker.” Max whispered as he placed a kiss on the top of his love’s head.

“I love you too Max Evans.” Liz said sighing happily as she felt herself beginning to drift of to sleep wrapped safely in the arms of her lover.

She loved him so much, she knew she always would.

In Another Pace at the Same Time

“February 27, 12:04 a.m. Right on time Your majesty.”

A dark figure of a man who in fact was not a man at all stared down at his silver wrist-watch and then back up to the balcony above his head. So far everything seemed to be going according to plan. The board was set, the pieces were in place, and the game would soon begin.

The man who was not a man raised a cigarette to his lips and lit it with a flick of his finger. Then took a slow and leisurely drag on it and just as leisurely blew the smoke out. The first move had been made tonight, and soon everything would be ready. But not quite yet. There were still a few minor details that needed to be taken care of first.

“I hope you enjoyed your Queen tonight your majesty.” the man said giving a small salute towards the balcony, and taking another drag on his cigarette.

Here it is

Chapter 2

Roswell High

Liz was sick. The sickest she had ever been in her life. Sitting in class was the last thing that she wanted to be doing right now. And she definitely did not want to be sitting here listening to Mrs. Bellworth drone on about the theories of classical conditioning.

Closing her eyes Liz rested her head on the palm of her hand and tried to focus on what the teacher was saying. Which proved to be a very difficult task considering she felt as if she would lose what bit of breakfast she had been able to force down this morning.

“…those of you who are not paying attention right Miss. Parker?”

Liz looked up at the sound of the teacher saying her name. What had Miss. Bellworth been saying. Crap.

“Um…what?” Liz asked not caring about the sound of the students snickering behind her.

Mrs. Bellworth only gave Liz a perplexing look.

“Liz are you alright?” she asked.

Finding an excuse to get out of class Liz jumped on it.

“Um…actually Miss. Bellworth I’m not feeling that well.” she said wanting to jump for joy when she saw Mrs. Bellworth signing a nurse pass.

Gathering her things Liz practically ran out of the class room. Making her way down the hallway Liz had to stop twice as she was hit by a sudden wave of dizziness.

What was wrong with her. She had been feeling like this off and on all day. One moment she was perfectly fine, and the next she was going to spill her guts everywhere. Or as if she could behrly stand on her own two feet.

“Just get a grip Liz.” she said steadying herself against her locker. After the dizziness had passed and she felt as if she was not going to fall dead on her face Liz made her way to the student parking lot. School would be letting out in about twenty minutes. She would be waiting for Max and if she didn’t feel any better after that then she would just go home and take a nap and make an appointment to see the doctor.

Liz froze when she reached Max’s car, for laying stretched out lazily across the hood was none other then Michael Guerin.

“Oh…Michael, hi.” Liz stammered not knowing what to say.

“Starting the weekend a little early?” Michael asked raising a brow at her.

“No…I just needed some…some air.” Liz said not being able to tell if he believed her or not. “So um…what are you doing out here?” She asked walking around and placing her things in the back of the jeep.

“Starting the weekend a little early.” she said hoping of the hood.

“Oh.” Liz said rolling her eyes. Neither of them said anything and Liz watched as Michael waved his hands in front of the car starting it and popped a Metallica CD into the CD player.

This was awkward. Liz thought as she sat quietly. She had never until this moment notice just how different Max and Michael really were. Michael was so rough and tumble, rebel without a cause. While Max was soulful and sweet, and just so completely…nit Michael. They were complete opposites, and yet they were the best of friends. But she and Michael were a completely different story. They had absolutely nothing in common. Other than Maria of course. And they were a far cry from actually being called friends.

But to be fair they had never really had the opportunity to really try and get to know one another. Well, there was no time like the present.

“So.” Liz started. “Michael, how are things?” she asked

“Steady.” Michael answered offhandedly.

“Oh.” she said. Vague much? “Well…how are things going with you and Maria?” she tried again.

Michael said nothing.

Liz almost groaned in frustration. A little effort on his part wouldn’t kill him.

“Because you know things between the two of you seem to be going really well at least from what Maria’s been telling me.

“Could you not?” Michael said abruptly cutting her Liz off.

“Could I not what?” Liz asked.

“Do the whole small talk thing.” Michael said turning to face her.

“Oh,” Liz said startled. “Sure if you don’t want to.” she said not knowing if should be offended or relived. “I just thought that it would be nice if we got to know each other.” Liz said.

“Yeah, no I’m fine with us.” Michael said.

“Fine with us?” Liz repeated not understanding his meaning.

“Yeah, look Liz, you’re Max’s girlfriend. I’m Max’s best friend. I say hey to you every once in a while, you wave or something like that alright. We don’t gotta hang out, or talk, or be all buddy, buddy.” he said not really expecting an answer from her.

“Okay.” Liz said sinking back into her seat. It was nice to know where he stood with her.

Catching her hurt look Michael groaned inwardly.

“Look, I didn’t mean to hurt your feelings.” Michael said gruffly.

“Oh know sure you didn’t Michael.” Liz denied folding her arms across her chest. “If you don’t want to be friends then we don’t have to e friends.” she said.

“I didn’t say that I didn’t want to be friends.” Michael said.

“I mean cause you’ve already read my journal so what else could there possibly be for you to like about me.” Liz continued as if Michael had said nothing.

“That was different.” Michael said defensively. “I had to know that I could trust you.”

“Trust me? Michael you don’t even like me.” Liz through at him.

“That’s…not true.” Michael said quietly.

“Really?” Liz said in obvious disbelief. “Name one thing Michael, just one thing that you like about me.” Liz said looking at Michael expectantly.

For the longest time Michael said nothing and Liz was sure that he was going to say nothing, until finally, with a headlong sigh he turned to her.

“I like the way you like Max.” he said, and before she could even think to comment he immediately reached in the CD player receiving his Metallica CD.

“I’m outta here.” he said, and hopped out of the car.

Liz sat quietly in the car after Michael’s hasty exit for a long while and waited for Max, but she couldn’t help the small touch of a smile that graced her lips.

A House Not Far Away.

“Why are you here? I told you not to come here. The timing isn’t right. The timing is everything.

Shellva looked angrily at the small blond girl that stood before him. Stupid child. Her impotents would cost him everything. It was not yet time for him to be here.

“Oh please Shellva enough of your stupid timing speech. I’ve heard it all before. So I’m a little early. I got board.” she said sliding herself on to the counter top. Swinging her hair behind her shoulders. She smiled and batted her eyelashes at him seductively.

“Don’t be cute with me.” he said brushing off her filtration.

“My schedule is not formed to fit with your boredom Tess. And if you ever wish to go home then your going to have to play by my rules.” he said walking around the table and picking up his jacket.

“Shellva, you’re highly overreacting. Everything is going to be fine.” Tess said crossing her legs.

“Shellva groaned He had worked too long and too hard on this. Longer and harder then she could ever imagine. He was not about to let her mess up all his carefully laid plans.

“Listen to me Ava.” he said using her Antarian name as he stalked upon her.

“Answer me truthfully, and I will know if you are lying. Have you made contact with any of them?” he asked.

“Well, theirs is know need to get so hostile Shellva. Tess said smirking at the alien protector.

Not being an alien known for his controlled temper, Shellva snapped, wrapping his hands around her neck and squeezed tightly.

“I am not playing games with you Tess. Now I may be your protector but all that means is that it is my job to protect you from anything, or anyone that may be a thereat to you. Including yourselves.” he added looking at her as if he would snap her neck without so much of a flinch.

“Now I will ask you again. Have you made contact with the others?”

Tess could only gasp and wheeze as Shellva increased the pressure around her neck.

“Answer!” he snarled as he pushed her away form him.

“No!” Tess gasped wrapping her hands around her throat.

“Good.” he said going to the door without checking to see if she was alright.

“Stay here,“ he bit out angrily. “And do not leave the house.”

He turned and left the house.

The Crashdown Café.

Max, Liz, Michael, Maria, Alex, and Isabelle all sat around the a booth at the Crashdown. It was Friday night and Maria had suggested that they all do something together. Maria had suggested a game night, which Michael had immediately apposed, unfortunately for him everyone else had thought that it would be a good idea. It wasn’t.

“Michael you can’t do that.” Maria groaned

“What do you mean I can’t do that? It’s a perfectly legit move.”

“No.” Maria started, “It’s not a legit move because “aint” is not a word.”

“Yeah, says who?” Michael asked.

“Umm…Daniel Webster.” Maria said as if she were explaining a hard concept to a small child.

“What’s your problem Maria?” Michael asked not wanting to get into it with her.

“My problem, Michael is that you can’t manipulate the rules of the game to fit your letters.”

“I’m not manipulating the rules to fit my letters. I have a freakin’ A an I an N and a T. I put them on the damn board, I spell the word aint. What the hell kinda manipulation is involved?” Michael asked.

Both were shouting now and that meant that the game was probity about to end.

Max sighed as he could only anticipate the ending of the game. Most likely Maria would end up chunking the rest of her letters at Michael’s head. This was the fourth game that they had played tonight, and thus far the previous three had all ended in Michael and Maria arguing and both of them ruining the game.
UNO had ended when everyone had noticed that they had a few too many blue fives in the deck. Yahtzee had ended because there was no way that one person could role that many yahtzees in a role without the aid of a little formidable alien powers. Poker…well that fight had actually been staged to save poor Alex, who had to be the worlds worst bluffer from losing any more money to Michael.

“The manipulation Michael, is that no matter how you spell it “Aint” is still not a word.” Maria yelled.

“Well Miss. Know-it-all, if you got all the damn answers why don’t you tell me what word I’m supose to use.”

“Ant?” Alex suggested jokingly.

Both Michael and Maria glared at him.

“Sorry.” he said putting his hands up defensively.

“Whatever, Scrabble sucks I’m outta here.” Michael said rising from his seat and walking towards the kitchen

“But it’s still your turn.” Maria said getting up to fallow him.

“No,” Michael said turning back to the board. Raising his hand he waved it at the board scattering the pieces all over the table

“It aint.”

“Michael!” Isabelle, who had been winning the game groaned, though she wasn’t to surprised by the fate of the game.

“Oh Michael you’re such a…ooh!” Grabbing a handful of letters off the table Maria began to sift through the letters.

“L!”

“Ow!” Michael groaned as a letter bounced off the back of his neck.

“O!”

“Hey!” he shouted as he was hit with another letter.

“S!” Maria said as she continued to fire letters at him.

“Maria stop it-ow!” Michael said

“E!” Maria squealed as she was caught by Michael. “Alright I quit I quit!” Maria laughed.

Releasing Maria Michael turned back towards the kitchen only to be stopped by the feeling of several more scrabble pieces hitting him.

“R!” Max, Liz, Alex, and Isabelle all shouted as they threw more letters at him. Then it was on, and they all grabbed letters and through them at Michael all of which were manipulated to spell out the word LOSER. Once the war was over, and Michael was pulling scrabble pieces out of some pretty interesting places they all began to laugh. Everyone except for Michael.

“There’s no way that I’m helping clean this place up.” Michael said as he pulled a letter out of his hair.

“It doesn’t matter.” Isabelle said. We’ve completely ruined the game. The only world will be able to spell is LOSER.”

“Hey you guys it’s getting pretty late.” Alex said looking up at the clock. It was nearly one in the morning.

“Yeah we probably should head in. My shift starts at nine tomorrow.” Max said agreeing with Alex.

“Oh…okay.” Liz said looking disappointed.

“Come on Alex walk me to the car.” Isabelle said, taking Alex’s arm.

“Yeah, come on Spaceboy, let’s go. My mom said if I break curfew one more time she’s gonna put something somewhere that’s not pretty.” Maria and Michael fallowed Alex and Isabelle out leaving Max and Liz to say goodbye.

“Do you have to go?” Liz pouted taking both of Max’s hands in hers. “My parents aren’t going to be back until noon tomorrow.” Liz pleaded.

“Umm as tempting as that sounds I can’t. It’s already late, and I don’t have any of my things here with me.”

“No, you left your overnight bag in my room last weekend remember?” Liz reminded Max, trying to convince him to stay. “Pleas Max I really don’t want you to go.” she added for good measure.

Max sighed.

“Okay. Go upstairs and get ready for bed. I’ll go and tell Isabelle to tell my parents that I’m staying the night at Michael’s.”

“Yay, thank you!” Liz said excitedly giving Max a kiss on the cheek before heading towards the back.

Once Liz reached her room she began to strip off her cloths. She grabbed her red spaghetti strap tank top and her pajama bottoms and placed them on the bed along with Max’s overnight bag. Then she grabbed her robe off of the back of the door and headed for the bathroom. Once inside the bathroom Liz walked over to the shower and set the temperature. Once it was perfect she then went over to the medicine cabinet and retrieved her toiletries. Closing the cabinet door she paused. Max’s reflection smiled lazily at her through the Maria.

“Hey Sexy.” he said stepping into the bathroom.

“Max What are you doing?” Liz asked smiling at him

“Well,” Max said as her started to unbutton his shirt. “It occurred to me that while I have had the privilege of experiencing my beautiful girlfriend’s body several times, I have had not yet had the experience of taking a shower with her.”

Max striped his shirt off himself and stalked upon Liz until her body was pressed against the sink.

“You want to take a shower with me?” Liz asked as she felt Max’s hands undoing the belt of her robe.

“We could start with that” Max said as he nibbled on her earlobe. “Among other things.” he added as he traced a path down her throat.

“I don’t know Max, I’m pretty dirty.” Liz said teasingly. “You think you could handle getting me clean?” she asked meeting his sexy gaze with a seductive look of her own.

“I think I’m up to the challenge.” Max said pulling her robe from her shoulders.

The bathroom was beginning to feel with steam from the shower. Liz gasped in surprise as she felt Max lift her off her feet and carry her to it.

“Now where were we?” Max asked as he stepped into the shower with her. “Ahh yes, we were about to see how apt I am at getting you clean

After The Shower

Liz smiled as she ran the brush through her hair that was only mostly damp now and watched through the mirror as Max dressed for bed. He had to have the cutest little rump that she had ever seen, she thought as she watched him pull up his pajama pants. And arms. He had great arms. Really great. And his chest. She could look at his chest all day and never get tiered of it. He had to be the sexiest alien on earth. Max turned and looked over his shoulder at her and lifted a brow. Liz blushed at being caught so bluntly ogling him, but she didn’t turn away.

“Hey sweetie you see something you like?” he asked giving her a grin that would melt any girl within a ten mile radius.

“Oh yeah. I see something I like very very much.” Liz said twisting in her seat to face him.

“Well no more of that tonight young lady.” Max said in a mock authoritarian tone.

Liz just smiled remembering the fun that she and Max had had earlier in the shower.

“Come on, it’s time to get ready for bed.” Max said walking over to her carrying her pajamas and holding them out to her.

Instead of taking them from Max Liz rose her hands above her head causing the towel that was wrapped around her to fall to her waist.

“Little tease.” Max murmured as he as he placed the shirt over her head. Stopping to give her a small peck on the cheek.

“Up.” he ordered motioning for her to stand as he held her pajamas out to her.

Liz stood and made a big show of showing Max her underwear. Little pink bikini with red hearts on them. Then she made a even bigger show of shimming into them.

“Come here!” Max growled throwing the pajama bottoms to the side and scooping Liz up and carrying her to the bed.

Liz laughed as she tumbled across Max’s lap onto the bed. She had know that her teasing would get to him sooner or later. But she couldn’t help but feel extremely playful. Being with Max was a wonder and she was always happy when she was with him.

Max pulled Liz back across his lap giving her a heated kiss and gazed into Liz’s eyes. He appeared serious and Liz wondered if something was wrong.

“Max?” she asked.

Max just shook his head and Liz’s fears eased as a smile graced his lips.

“I just love you.” he said placing his palm against her cheek.
Liz heart warmed at his words.

She knew he loved her she had always known but each time he said it just made her feelings for him and his for her that much more real.

“I love you too.” she said placing a kiss affectionately on the underside of his chin.

Max smiled and pulled Liz against his chest as they both began to drift off to sleep. She was his heart, and she was safe in his arms right where she belonged. Liz leaned into Max and inhaled his freshly showered scent. It felt wonderful to be held by him, she thought as she began to drift off to sleep. Everything was perfect.

Shorty Chapter  . I know boo me. But I’m literally typing this and righting the next chapter for my other fic at the same time and I wanted them both to go out tonight. I really shouldn’t multitask. I actually had to restart typing because my stupid computer just freaked out, so this is actually the second time that I’m typing all this. Okay Lalala here it is.

Chapter Three

Liz's Bedroom

Everything was not perfect. In fact, things couldn’t be farther from perfect. Theses were Liz’s thought as she sat huddled next to the toilet seat spilling all of the contents of her stomach into the toilet. She was sick again. Much sicker then she had been yesterday, and she was beginning to suspect why. And if what she thought was true then her situation was much more serious then she had originally thought. She had not told Max of her illness. Truthfully she had not even though much on it herself. But it would no longer be ignored.

“Liz open the door.” she heard Max voice say calmly from the other side of the door. When she had hightailed it out of bed so quickly this morning Max had immediately woken up and fallowed her to the bathroom demanding she tell him what was wrong. She had then immediately shut the door in his face telling him that under no circumstances whatsoever was he to even think of opening that bathroom door. It was bad enough that he was going to hear he be sick, there was no way on earth she was going to let him see her.

“Liz come on sweetie I don’t care how you look okay just open the door.” Max pleaded with Liz. The only answer he got in response was the sound of another heave coming from Liz’s side of the bathroom. Max was beginning to worry and there was no way that he was going to stand on this side of the door for to much longer.

“Liz?” Max said at the sound of yet another heave. “Liz if you don’t answer me I’m coming in.” he said, then behrly giving her time to answer Max used his powers to open the door.

“Liz!” Max said startled at the sight of her. She looked so helpless and frail as she was crouched on the floor against the toilet as she was, her knees drawn up tightly against her chest.. Max quickly grabbed a towel and wet it then came to kneel at her side drawing her into his arms.

“What’s the matter sweetie?” he asked as he gingerly wiped her mouth with the towel.

“Max I asked you not to come in here.” Liz said weekly leaning into his body. She reached up to take the towel from hi but he would not allow it.

“Yeah I know you did.” he said running his hands over her body to check her out. “But I was worried about you.” he finished finally giving her the towel after he was satisfied that she as alright.

“I’m fine Max.” Liz said knowing that wasn’t completely true.

“No you’re not fine, you’re sick.” Max said and again took the towel from her to wet it again.

Liz leaned heavily against his side as he did so thankful for his support, But she didn’t want Max to know how sick she truly was.

“It’s probably just something I ate,” Liz supplied for Max’s sake as she tried to get to her feet failing miserably as another wave of dizziness overwhelmed her.

Max hooked his arms beneath Liz’s legs lifting her high against his chest. Before she could she fall then carried her out of the bathroom.

“Whatever it is you are going back to bed.” Max said as he carried her back into her room.

Liz sighed as Max placed her on the bed. Max though she had a bug. But she was pretty sure that it was more then that. However she wanted to be sure first.

She smiled up at him as he smooth the hair from her forehead and placed a kiss on it.

“Max , I can’t stay in bed all day. I have to work.” she tried to reason with him.

“Liz if you’re sick then there is no way that you are working.” he replied.

“Max I’m not sick okay, it’s just a bug, it’ll pass just like yesterday.” she said then bit her lip as she realized what she had just reviled to him.

“Yesterday?” max asked eyeing her worriedly.

Liz groaned. Leave it to him it to him to zero in on that part of what she had said.

“Liz exactly how long has this been going on?” Max asked

Liz gave him an agitated look and tried to push herself up from the bed. But was pushed pack down by Max.

“Liz?” Max asked again

“Just this morning and yesterday.” Liz finally admitted. “Listen Max I think that you’re overreacting.” she added.

“No I think you’re underrating.”

“People get sick all the time Max.” she tried to sooth him by pressing her palm against his cheek. “Max I’m fine now, I promise.”

“Are you sure?” Max asked again.

“Yes, I’m sure.” she said to him. “Now get out of here before you’re late for work. I promise I‘ll see you later.” Liz said.

“Fine.” Max finally conceded grabbing his jeans and shirt from the night before. He dressed quickly then returned to her bedside.

“If you feel bad anytime today I want you to get you butt straight back in this bed. Do you hear me?” Max said placing kisses all over her face. Her eyes, cheeks, bridge of her nose until he reached her lips.

“Okay.” Liz said kissing him back.

The kisses started off innocently enough .but they quickly escalated into Liz found herself leaning against the pillow with half of Max’s body leaning against hers .

“Okay now I have to go before I strip of my cloths and have my wicked way wit you.”

“No objections here.” Liz said kissing him again quickly.

Max smiled at her before turning to climb out of the window.

Liz stayed in her place on the bed until she was sure that Max was completely gone from view. Rising quickly Liz ran over to her desk. Max thought she was sick, but Liz was sure that she knew what was really going on. Looking through her things Liz searched through her desk until she found her day planner and began to flip through her calendar. Today was April 18. She turned back a few pages then closed the planner and sat back down on her desk.

She was three weeks late.

Liz turned and gazed at her reflection in the mirror. It wasn’t possible. It just couldn’t be. She couldn’t be. She wasn’t….she wasn’t pregnant. Was she? Taking her hand she placed it flat against her abdomen. She couldn’t be pregnant. Could she?

I’m sorry, I haven’t really been good at answering all of everyone’s inquiries about the story. Truth be told I don’t want to give away anything about where I am taking this. Also I’m very open to suggestion and I didn’t want to go ’oh that’s a good idea’ and change the story. Plus I don’t use a beta (which I really should). Anyway, but I find that as I am reading my own story there are something’s that I think I will have to explain to you all. Okay so here is the deal with Shellva. He is their protector but not in the sense that Langley and Nesado were. Which means he dose not have to obey their every order or anything like that. But don’t worry he will explain himself later on in the story. There has never been nor will there ever be a Nesado. But I think that it is also important that I make it clear that Shellva is the same type of alien that Max, Michael, Isabel, and Tess are. He can’t shape shift into other people like Nesado, but he can inhabit other peoples bodies. We’ll just call it body snatching. Weird huh? Plus he has all the other little generic alien powers. But his base from is the picture that I posted earlier. So body snatching is his special power like healing is Max’s Dream walking is Isabel’s blowing stuff up is Michael’s and mind warping is Tess’s. I hope that makes sense to you. A lot of you keep bringing up the fact that Shellva referred to Liz as the Queen in the beginning of the story. I have purposely not explained that because…well I haven’t got to that part in the story yet. So keep reading and you’ll find out what the deal with that is. And finally, I want to thank you all for reading this story. I think that I am getting a really well responses form you all and I just love feedback. You all make my day with your nice words. And hey to all of the lurkers out there, stop by and say high anytime. And just a little side note from me. I think that the word preggers has got to be the funniest word I have ever heard. It’s my new word of the week. Lalala here’s the next part

Chapter Four

The Crashdown Cafe

Shellva walked into the Crashdown Café and immediately wanted to destroy everything in sight. It had to be the most ridicules place on earth that he had ever seen, and he had been a lot of places. He hated everything about it from the distastefully painted walls to the grotesque uniforms of the waitresses. He tampered his urges however, for he was not here to critique the place, he was here as an observer.

He fond a booth near the front of the establishment making sure that it wasn’t in the area that he knew she worked. That way he could watch her without her even being aware of his presence.

“Welcome to the Crashdown. I’m Anna and I’ll be your waitress this afternoon.” A smiling redhead walked up to him. With a notepad in hand. “Is there anything that I can get you Sir?” she asked as she took out a pen and held it to her pad.

“Coffee,” he said off handedly not planning to drink the ill tasting stuff , but ordering something if only to get the annoying girl to be on her way

“Will that be all for you Sir?” she asked as she jotted down his order. Still flashing her friendly smile at him.

“Did I ask for anything else?” he snapped knowing that if he was rude she’d want to be away from him as quickly as possible. Sure enough the smile faded from her face and she stormed off in a huff.

Shellva wanted to laugh out loud. How easily theses humans were offended, they were all so damn sensitive. But he liked that about them. Their ability to show such emotion, it made them week and easily manipulated. He sat in his booth and continued to watch waiting for the object of his observation to appear. He knew that she would work today. He was pretty savvy to her schedule as he had been watching her sense she was eight years old.

He straightened in his seat as he spotted her walking in form the back. Elizabeth Parker, she was a sight. All sunshiny bright, unbelievably innocent, and completely unaware of the way her tiny human life was about to change. He peered at her closely. Oh what a little fool. He continued to watch silently as she walked around the café. She was not in uniform as the rest of the waitress were, and she appeared to be looking for someone. “News, Miss Parker?” he asked himself quietly. She spotted who she was looking for and Shellva watched as she ran up to blond waitress he recognized as Maria DeLuca, Liz ‘s best friend sense childhood, and whispered something to her. They talked quietly for a second and then Liz dragged the girl off into the back room.

Hmm this was interesting, maybe Liz wasn’t as naïve as she appeared. He had a pretty good idea about what was about to transpire between the two girls, but it was always safe to be thorough.

The redhead waitress returned to his booth and placed his coffee in front of him on the table.

“Here you go Sir.” she said in a monotone voice and then turned to walk away.

“Wait!” he said calling the waitress attention back to him. She turned back to face him folding her arms across her chest.

“Anna isn’t it?”

Outside The Crashdown

Liz quickly pushed Maria outside the side door of the back room closing it behind her.

“Jeeze Liz couldn’t we have had this conversation in your bedroom or something? I don’t even want to guess what that horrible smell is.” Maria asked waving her hand in front of her nose.

“Maria my moms doing laundry up there and I couldn’t risk her walking in on us.” Liz answered.

“Okay, well what is it that you wanted to talk about?” Maria asked

Liz inhaled a deep breath as she met her best friend’s eyes. She could do this. If she could just think of this as a practice run. Maria was the third most likely person to freak out about this after Max and her parents. If she could tell Maria then she could tell them.

“Okay here goes Maria…I’m pregnant.” Liz waited for Maria’s reaction.

“You’re what?” Maria asked, and Liz watched as her friend’s eyes enlarged several sizes.

“By Max?” Maria added.

“Maria of course by Max, who else?” Liz said defensively.

“Sorry, stupid question. But I’m allowed at least one stupid question alright. You can’t just drop a bombshell like that on me and expect me to think rationally.”

Maria began to pace nervously in front of Liz. Oh she was most definitely on the verge of wigging out.

“Dose Max know?” Maria asked stopping her pacing.

Liz just shook her head. “No, I only found out this morning.”

Her suspicions had been proven true by a very clear flash she had received after taking her shower this morning. She was most definitely pregnant. She had been sense that very first time. The flash had made that very clear. In very explicit details.

Maria nodded and began to shift through her pockets nervously until she found the small vile of seeder oil and began to untwist the cap.

“So let me get this straight. You’re pregnant with a baby that may or may not even be human, and Max, who is the reason for the baby undetermined human status doesn’t even know?” Maria continued to twist the cap of the already open vile.

“Maria could you pleas not wig out on me right now?” Liz asked taking the oil from Maria’s hands and taking the top off.

“Wig out!? Liz babe we’re a few steps pass wigging out here okay, we’re in like freakin’ panicville! You‘re pregnant! With an alien baby no less. Do you have any idea what that means? How serious this is?”

Liz wanted to scream as Maria began to screw the top back on to the seeder oil. She didn’t want to be hearing this right now and she was suddenly feeling very hurt and very angry.

“Maria of course I know what this means, and I know this is serious. I’m not stupid. I know that this is not the best situation in the world, but I’m not going to say that I regret that it happened, because I don’t. I could never regret what Max and I did. And this is a product of that.” Liz was yelling and her eyes were beginning to fill with tears.

“Now right now what I need more than anything in the world is for you to be my friend. To help me through this, not to criticize me. Neither Max or I planed this okay, it just happened and it can’t be undone!” the tears were falling now and Liz wasn’t even sure why she was crying. That only made her want to cry more.

“Okay okay, Liz babe calm down. Come here.” Maria said softly opening her arms and wrapping them around her friend.

“Chick I’m sorry, okay. I didn’t mean to upset you.” Maria said running her hands through Liz’s hair soothingly.

“I know you didn’t.” Liz sniffed into her friends shirt. “I just really need you as a friend right now.” Liz repeated.

“I know, and I’m gonna be here with you every step of the way. And you and me are gonna spend the next nine months driving lover boy crazy.”

Liz laughed and embraced her friend tighter. She couldn’t have been any happier to have Maria as a friend as she was at that moment. Liz pulled back and smiled sadly at her friend.

“How am I gonna tell Max Maria?” she asked giving her friend a worried look.

“To tell you the truth I have no idea.” Maria answered then placed her arm around Liz shoulder. “Don’t worry will think of something.”

“Yeah we will.” Liz agreed

Suddenly the door opened and Liz and Maria looked up startled as one of the waitresses, Anna Liz believed her name was, walked out holding a huge trash bag.

“Liz, Maria, What are you two doing out here? Maria I thought you were taking orders, and Liz your dad’s been looking everywhere for you. Your shift starts in ten minutes.”

“Oh we were…um just… getting some air. We were getting some air.” Maria said inhaling a deep breath only to cough it out as the foul stench of garbage hit her lungs.

Anna looked at them both strangely. “Fine place to get some fresh air.” she said tossing the bag into the trash can.

“Yeah well you know…Agnes…Agnes was smocking out front so…we figured we could deal with the smell over the possibility of…lung cancer.” Liz added and Maria nodded her head in agreement.

“Umm you know what I better get back to my shift.” Maria said looking at Liz.

“Me too.” Liz agreed and the two rushed back inside of the Crashdown.

Anna stood in front of the dumpster staring at the closed door the two had just exited. She smiled slyly before her face contorted into one of pain and she slid to the ground unconscious.

Shellva watched as the girl lay crumpled on the ground as he existed her body. Just as he suspected. Wow, the king wasted little time. But he was right on schedule. The Queen was with child, and the hair would be born within the year. Then finally he would be able to go home.

Michael’s Apartment.

“Michael something’s wrong with Liz.” Max said from his position on Michael’s couch

“I’ve been saying that for months Maxwell.” Michael said as he dug through the fridge for who knows what.

“Michael I’m serious. This morning when I was leaving her house-”

“This morning Maxwell?” Michael asked poking his head out from the refrigerator with his newly acquired sandwich .

“Yes Michael this morning.” Max said ignoring his friend. Michael just raised a brow at him

“Look she didn’t want to be alone alright.” Max said defensively.

“Yeah I’ll bet she didn’t.” Michael threw out.

“Can we stay focused please.” Max said sighing

“Some of us more than other apparently.” Michael said taking a seat next to Max on the couch.

“Would you stop interrupting?” Max said becoming annoyed

Michael extended his arm in invitation for Max to finish,

“Thank you. Anyway, like I was saying, This morning she was really sick. And she told me she was sick yesterday too. I’m just worried that’s all.”

“That’s it? Max she’s human. That’s what they do.” Michael said taking a bite of the sandwich he was eating.

“That’s not what I mean Michael. I know what it’s like when people get sick. My parents are human. But this…I don’t know, it just feels like something else.” Max sighed and leaned heavily against the couch. When he had been with Liz earlier it had felt like there was something else. Something hadn’t been quiet right with her and he was not sure what it was.

“Look Max, if I learned anything about you from all the years we’ve known each other it’s that you are a worrier. Specially when it comes to Liz, and if I’ve learned anything from knowing Liz it’s that she’s not gonna keep a secrete from you or Maria, and Maria is not gonna keep a secrete from me, so whatever it is that’s going down with Liz I’m bond to hear about it.”

“What’s your point Michael?” Max asked.

“My point is could you all please schedule a group meeting or something to talk to me about this, cause I really don’t want to have to listen to it three times over.”

Max groaned and hit Michael with one of the magazines sitting on the table.

“Shut-up Michael.”

“Alright seriously.” Michael said dodging the magazine. “Maxwell I don’t think ya got anything to worry about. Liz seemed fine at school yesterday, and fine last night.”

“Yeah, you’re probably right. It’s probably nothing.” Max agreed.

“Good, now are we done chitchatting cause I want to watch the game.” Michael said reaching for the remote and turning on the TV.

“Suit yourself Michael, I think I’m gonna go check on Liz.” Max said standing up from the couch.

Michael sighed. “See Maxwell you’re just a natural born worrier.”

“Whatever!” Max yelled back to his friend as he left the apartment.

The House

Where the hell was he? He had been gone most of the day already. Uhh this was getting to be quiet annoying.

“If this is his idea of a joke I’m not laughing.” Tess groused as she sat alone in the empty house. She had done everything he said up until now. She had waited and waited and waited and waited, well she was sick of waiting. She wanted her due and she wanted it now. She wanted to go home to Antar, and she wanted to be Queen

“Sorry Shellva, I’ve had enough of this.” Tess said walking the front door.

She knew he had locked it. He didn’t trust her. He didn’t trust anybody, and although his powers were a bit more advanced then her own getting through the locks wouldn’t be a problem. Placing her hand over the melted lock Tess concentrated on using her powers to unlock the door.

“Going somewhere?”

She turned quickly at the sound of his voice.

“Well, well, well, I thought you were never coming back.” she said turning to face him.

“You thought wrong.” he said removing his jacket and placing it on the table. Then lifted his arm and faced it towards her. Tess immediately flinched as he aimed his hand at her but was shocked when she felt no pain, only heard the sound of the door behind her unlocking.

“Relax Tess.” he said with a small smile. “I’m your protector. I would never hurt you.”

“Right.” Tess said placing her hands against her neck remembering what he had almost done in his anger earlier.

“So what do we do now?” she asked coming to take a seat at the table.

“We wait.” he said simply

“More waiting?” Tess growled at him. “I’m sick of waiting! We’ve been waiting for the past eight years!”

“Patience is a virtue Tess, here and on Antar.” he stood and walked over to her. She just rolled her eyes at him

“Don’t get all philosophical on me Shellva. Whatever it is you’re planning I want to know what it is. Now you obviously know more about why we are here in the first place so why don’t you just cut the crap and tell me” she was getting angry.

Shellva just laughed at her statement.

“Don’t be naïve Tess, it doesn’t suit you.”

“Would you stop playing all theses games and just tell me what I need to know so we can go home?”

“You want Zan don’t you.” he asked

“Of course I want Zan!” she yelled.

“Then I’m afraid you’re going to have to remain in the dark for just a bit longer.” he said patting her on the cheek.

“But I do have a bit of good news for you. You start school tomorrow.”

“Really?” she asked looking at him intrigued.

“Yes, but that’s it. DO NOT approach them. I’ll tell you when the time is right.”

“Oh I wouldn’t dream of going against your precious plan Shellva.” Tess said with mock innocence. “Well I’m assuming sense you unlocked the door I’m no longer a prisoner in this house?” she asked tossing her hair behind her head in a boar fashion.

“Don’t go far.” he said waving her off.

“Don’t wait up Shellva.” she said turning and sauntering out of the house.

“Don’t worry.” he said back.

Once Tess was gone Shellva pulled a small metal orb from his pocket and placed it on the table. Placing his hands over it he watched as the symbol in the center began to admit a slow glow.

“Let the game began.”

Because he was sitting there talking about how sensitive humans were... and i just thought if he was half human like Max and them, it would be strange for him to think that.

Alright let me try and explain this, man I suck at expos. In this story People from Antar look like regular people. Max and the gang aren’t hybrids. They are aliens. Pure bread aliens from Antar. So no Shellva dose not have an ounce of humanist in him. Don’t worry, Antar and aliens, and Shellva, and why they are all here in the first place will be explained later on in the story. Just behr with me.

Questions:

1. If Liz got a flash of her being pregnant, can't Max get one off of her?

2. Why would Shellva want Liz's baby? It'll be human, won't it? Is it just the fact that it's Max's kid and that leagally, in alien world, it counts as an heir like it does on Earth? <-----Absolutely hilarious.

3. If Liz is the one that has the baby, their tick home ( Shellva & Tess ), what role does Tess play? Would she pose the baby as hers? The two of them must know that Max is not about to try and bang someone he just met, it's not him.

4. Since Liz is pregnant, what the hell is she gonna tell her parents? What about Max's parents?

5. Does Max know Michael read Liz's diary? I know that's like not important after the whole pregnancy, alien protector back in town with your hussy wife ordeal, but I'd still like to know. :D

6. What's Tess gonna do to be part of the group now? How does she expect to get Max, when he's gonna be playing Daddy with Liz, both in the literal version and the nookie version.

1) Max and Liz did not always share all of their flashes in the show.

2) Shellva's plans for Liz and her baby will be reviled.

3) Tess plays a major part in all this, but you just have to keep reading to find out what it is

4) Hehehe you'll see.

5) No. Max dose not know. Hmm maybe he'll find out.

6) At the moment Tess is not aware of the fact that Max is with Liz, or that she is pregnant.

icequeen wrote:What the heck is shellva up to? And how does Tess plan in intergrating herself into the group? THe whole i'm your destiny thing is not going to fly.

Yeah Tess does have her work cut out for her. But she's not easily pushed away. She wants to be queen and she wants it bad.

So here is the next part. It's a shorty part, but I felt like this scene was better by itself than mixed up in the next chapters.

Chapter Five

Outside Max’s Bedroom

Liz stood outside of Max’s bedroom feeling as if she were going to throw up, and for once it had little to do with the unbearable morning sickness that she had been feeling for the pass two days. She had been avoiding Max. She had finally admitted it to herself. After her conversation with Maria this afternoon she had begged her father to switch her to the dinner shift. She knew that Max would be by the time the dinner rush came in, and she also knew that he would want to spend time with her. Sure enough he had.

The look of disappointment that he had given her had almost been enough to make her revile the truth to him right then and there. Almost. As much as she hated lying to Max she was not prepared to tell him about the baby. And Liz knew that if she spent time with Max then the baby would be the uppermost thing on her mind. No, she needed time to think carefully through all of the things that she wanted to say to Max first. As is turned out Liz did not see Max for the remainder of the day. He had called her several times after her shift had ended, but she had just let the machine pick it up. By the fourth time she knew that her was beginning to worry, so she had told him that she still wasn’t feeling well and that she had just wanted to get some rest.

After that, Liz had spent the rest of the night trying to think of ways to tell Max that he was going to be a daddy, and trying to contemplate his reactions. Would he be happy? Would he be scared. Would he be angry? Knots began to twist in her stomach at the millions of thoughts that she had going trough her head about Max’s possible reactions, and she managed to work herself up real good before she couldn’t take it anymore. She had to know, and she had to know now.

And so here she was standing outside of Max’s bedroom in her pajama’s about to tell the man she loved that she was pregnant with his child. Taking a deep breath Liz drew her hand to the glass of the window and knocked with all of the confidence she didn’t have.

Max looked up from the book he had been reading at the sound of the knock on his window. What on earth was Michael doing here? He wondered to himself. Ever sense Michael had been emancipated and gotten his own apartment there had been no reason for him to spend the night at Max’s. Setting the book aside Max rose from the bed and came over to the window. Drawing the curtains back. A smile graced his lips as he stood face to face with Liz.

“Hey.” he said opening the window and helping her climb inside of the room “I wasn’t expecting to see you tonight.” he said. Leaning down, Max placed a soft kiss against the side of her mouth.

“Yeah, I know.” Liz said as she allowed Max to pull her through the window and excepting his kiss. After she was in the room she shifted nervously on her feet before going to sit on Max’s bed.

“Umm Max can we talk?” she asked meeting his eyes hesitantly.

Max frowned. He could have sworn that he had seen a hint of fear in Liz eyes. Going to sit beside her on the bed, Max took her hands, which had been nervously plucking at the treads of the sheet, into his own and began to soothingly rub the backs of them.

“Liz what’s wrong?” he asked, his voice laced with concern.

“Wrong?” Liz asked quickly. Then shook her head in denial. “Nothing.”

“Nothing?” Max repeated obviously not believing her.

“Not nothing .” Liz said changing her answer.

“Not nothing?” Max echoed again.

“Something.” Liz said finally.

“Something?” Max asked

“Yeah, something. There’s something that I have to tell you Max. But it’s not wrong. But it’s not right either. It’s…it’s something Max. Something big.” Liz said willing him to understand what it was she was trying to say.

“Liz whatever it is you can tell me. You can tell me anything remember?”

Oh she was scared to death. This was it. She had to tell him. There would be no going back now. Taking Max’s hand in hers Liz placed it flat against her stomach praying that he would understand what she was trying to communicate to him without words.

“Liz I don’t understan-” Max gasped as he was suddenly hit by a flash.

He saw himself and Liz lying on her bed making love. The first time they had made love. He felt himself inside her body. And he felt her inside him. Then he was no longer himself or her, but another. He felt another presence as clear as day. Another life. Not him, not Liz, but both of them. A creation of the love that they had given to each other. A child. Liz was pregnant.

Max gasped as he was abruptly drawn out of the flash. His hand still pressed firmly against Liz’s stomach. Her hand was placed tightly against his. Liz watched as Max’s amber eyes enlarged as realization began to don on him.

“Liz, are you trying to tell me that you’re…”

“Max,” Liz whispered cutting him off. “I’m pregnant.”

“You’re what!?”

Max and Liz both looked up at the sound of the intruders voice. And neither could utter a word as they glanced at the shocked face of Mrs. Evans.

The rest of the story will be in third person still. Lalala Enjoy.

Chapter Six

Max’s Bedroom

<<<Max’s POV>>>

Sitting here beside Liz with my hands still pressed firmly against her stomach, the feeling of my child’s life still fresh in my memory, and starring at the completely shocked gaze of my mother I can only wonder if this is all really happening to me, or if it’s all just some really elaborate dream. But I know that it’s not a dream. It’s all real, and I can’t even react. I can behrly even think. Liz is pregnant. Pregnant. And now, before I can even let that sink in I have to explain to my mother that Liz and I have been sexually active for over a month and as a result of that she is now caring my unborn child.

“You are what?” I hear my mother ask Liz again. At that moment as much as I want to say something, anything to make this easier for Liz, I can’t. I feel my mind trying to form a coherent thought, but I can come up with nothing. What can I do? How can I make this okay? I need to make this okay.

“Mrs. Evans…I!” I can tell from the squeak in Liz’s voice that she is at as much as a lost for words as I am. I slowly remove my hand from her stomach and start to draw it away from her but I am stopped as her feel her squeeze my hand pressing it close to her body.

I close my eyes as I try to get my behrings. I have to remember that Liz needs me right now. I have to be strong for her.

“Mom.” I say as calm as I possibly can. O notice the thankful look that Liz gives me as I take over for her. “Could you give us a minute please?” I ask willing her to see how desperately Liz and I need to talk right now. My mom places both of her hands against her forehead in a gesture that I can only guess at and closes her eyes. She is silent for a moment then she opens her eyes. I almost wince at the disappointed looks that she casts at us.

“Liz, I’m going to go downstairs and call your parents and explain to them this…situation. I’m going to ask that they come over first thing in the morning. It’s late so I want you to spend the night in Isabel room.” She turns and walks out of the door. Then glances back at the two of us. “I’ll be back in exactly five minutes. If I were you I’d be in Isabel’s room.” She gives a finale warning and then goes downstairs.

Liz and I sit without saying a word to each other. Frankly, I don’t think either of us knows what to say to the other. I know I don’t have a clue what to say to her.

“I can’t believe this is happening.” I hear Liz whisper quietly. The tears that have begun to form in her eyes bring me out of my muteness.

“Come here.” I say drawing her into my arms. I sigh deeply as she curls her body into mine with my hand still pressed against her stomach.

“It’s…it’s gonna be okay Liz.” I say this with all the confidence of a dead man. However, I reinforce my words with a kiss to Liz’s forehead.

“No it won’t.” she says shaking her head against my chest. I can feel the tears beginning to seep through my T-shirt, but I say nothing and only holder closer. I hate that she’s crying. I hate that I can’t make her stop.

“Hey, no tears okay?” I say wiping the tears from her eyes and giving her a slightly week smile. “We were going to have to tell them eventually. This just made it a little easier for us.

“Easier?” she asks giving me a look that says I must have lost my mind if I thought that this was easy.

“Okay, not easier.” I say “But we can deal with this sweetie. We’ve got each other.” I smooth her hair over her face gently and place another small kiss against her forehead.

“This is all my fault.” She says helplessly causing my heat to almost brake,

“No, Liz this is not your fault. We both did this.” The last thing I want right now is for her to start blaming herself.

“I know that we did this together Max.” she says rubbing her stomach, “but if I had just told you sooner…if I hadn’t been afraid to…if I’d been able to…” she brakes off unable to continue and watch helplessly as more tears slide down the side of her face.

“Liz it’s okay. It’s okay that you were afraid. How could you not be? Your carrying my child” I hesitate at my next words “An alien child.”

She looks up at me, and I can see the millions of questions that are already beginning to form in that scientific head of hers. Questions that I just don’t have the answers to. I don’t want to say it out loud, but I’m terrified for her. What if the baby hurts her. What if something goes wrong, and she can’t…

No, I censor my thoughts. I can’t be thinking like this. I have to believe that everything is gong to be fine.

“We’ll deal with this together slowly.” I promise her. I may not know what’s to come, but I do know that I will do anything and everything that I possibly can in order to keep her safe.

I hold her for a few minutes more not wanting to send her away, wanting to keep her safe, and needing to talk to her more about this, but I know that my mom will be back soon, and there will be enough talking about this tomorrow to last me the rest of my life.

“You should go.” I finally will myself to say. She just nods her head as she untangles her body from mine. I rise slowly form the bed and walk her to the door. Taking both of her small hands in mine I place kisses on both of them and then raise my gaze to hers.

“Everything will be fine.” I say again, a part of me hoping that if I say it enough times it will be true.

“I know.” She says and puts on a smile I know to be purely for my benefit. Then she turns to leave, but I won’t release her hands, and I pull her back to me.

“I love you, okay?” I say this wanting her to know that I here for her.

“Okay.” She says and leans into me once more resting her head against my chest. And all I can think about is how much I want to hold her there forever. I rock her several times before I release her and allow her to leave the room. I watch as she walks the short distends down the hall to Isabel’s room and knocks softly. She turns back to look at me and I smile reassuringly at her. I stand there until Isabel opens the door, and I hear her ask Liz what’s going on. I stand in my door way until I can no longer hear the two if their voices and then I head back into my own room shutting the door behind me.

>>>Liz’s POV<<<

I’ve always thought of myself as a relatively smart person. However, sitting here beside Max in his Living Room starring at the disappointed faces of his and my parents, I can’t help but feel like a complete idiot. This was not how this was supposed to be happening. Max and I hadn’t even gotten a chance to talk about the baby together, and already we have to face both of out parents. It’s all just so completely overwhelming

But the worst part about all of this is that I have know idea how Max feels. After telling him about the baby last night, and being interrupted by Mrs. Evans, Max immediately jumped on the defensive, checking to make sure that I was okay, and trying to reassure me. But I need to know how he feels. Is he angry? Is he scared? Is he happy? After all of this I’m still no better off then I was before I told him.

As it turns out Max’s mom ended up staying on the phone with my parents much, much longer than five minutes. They talked for the majority of the rest of the night. No doubt about the thousands of levels of which they are disappointed in us on. Truthfully, the fact that they are angry right now is not even what’s important to me right now. All I truly care about is how Max feels. He’s always trying to be strong for me, to protect me from being hurt. But unlike Max I’ve had time to think about this. I’ll admit it hasn’t been much time, but still it’s more time than Max has had. I just want to make sure that he’s alright.

“So, neither one of you have anything to say?” my mother asks braking the silence. I shiver at the cold tone in which she delivers those words. I’ve never heard her sound so angry.

Max and I say nothing in response. What can we possibly say?

“Nothing?” my mother asks again, eyeing the two of us closely.

Again we both say nothing.

“Fine, then we’ve got some questions we’d like to have answered. Maybe these will open up the flood gates huh?” Max father says, and I know that the interrogation is about to begin.

“Just how long have the two of you been sexually active?” he says dispassionately not directing his question at either Max or me.

“A little over a month.” Max answers before I can.

And did you use protection?” Mr. Evans continues.

I take Max‘s hand in mine a squeeze it tightly before he answers. He smiles at me and turns back to his father.

“Not…not always.” He answers truthfully. I blush as I remember Max, and my…sexual encounters. They had almost always been uncontrollable that hadn’t been but could not be denied. When Max and I made love it was more of a need to be with each other than a choice. It was as if his body needed mine, and my body needed his, and there would be no stopping either of us from having what we needed.

“I see.” Max’s father said in a detached voice. Then he turned his gaze from Max to me.

“How far along are you Liz?” he asked me.

I feel the wait of his question on me like a ton of bricks. Our baby had been conceived that first night. The flashes had shown me that, but I was too frightened to say anything. I worked my mouth back and fourth, but no sound would come. I wanted to scream! I wanted to cry! I was going to throw up!

I bolted from the couch before anyone could say anything hurrying as fast as I could to the bathroom. Where I spilled my guts.

<<<Max’s POV>>>

The second I saw Liz bolt from the room I immediately rose to go after her.

“I’ve got it, you stay here.” Mrs. Parker said rising form her spot on the couch and fallowing Liz into the bathroom.

I didn’t want to stay here. I wanted to make sure Liz was alright. But I did as I was told preparing myself for more of my father’s questions. I wasn’t prepared for what he was about to say.

“Do you have any idea what a mistake you’ve made Max? Do you? You’re seventeen years old Max, seventeen. You’re not ready to have a kid. You still are a kid.”

That wasn’t true. I hadn’t been a kid for a long time now.

“I don’t know what to say dad.” It was all I could think to say.

I was sorry that I had let my parents down. I was sorry that I had betrayed Mr. and Mrs. Parker’s trust. But I wasn’t sorry for what I had shared with Liz. Because it was special to me. It was the most special thing that I had ever felt in my life. And I wouldn’t trade it for the world. Liz was pregnant, and it was a scary thought, but if her not being pregnant meant that I didn’t feel all of the wonderful things that I felt for her, then I didn’t want that.

“What do you plan to do Max?” I looked up as I was addressed by Mr. Parker for the first time.

“How do you plan to take care of my daughter and a baby all by yourself?”

For that I didn’t have an answer. I said nothing.

There was a long time where nothing was said by anyone.

“Well…surly not all by himself.” My mother chimed in. “I mean, Max dose have that job at the UFO museum, but we can’t expect that he can do this completely alone.” She said this looking at my father and Mr. Parker.

“But what if you were alone Max?” my father asked. “How would you expect to take care of your pregnant girlfriend and your unborn child on a part time job at the UFO museum?”

“I…I would figure something out.” I say. The answer sounding lame to my own ears. “I would have to.”

“You’d figure something out?” Mr. Parker repeated looking at my father, who just shook his head.

“Max a baby is a big responsibility. It’s something that you plan for. You can’t just ‘figure something out’, that’s not the way it works son.” My father says

“What about school Max?” Mr. Parker asked. “Would you plan to finish school? Go work? What? Do you have any idea of what it is you even want to do with the rest of your life? Are you aware of how much this changes your life, how it changes Liz’s?”

He was right, they were both right.

“Stop it! Both of you stop it right now!” we all turn back to the doorway to see Mrs. Parker leading Liz back into the room.

“This is not Max’s fault, it’s mine! Max didn’t even know about the baby until last night! He’s hasn’t even had time to think about this and you two are attacking him like he’s Jack the Ripper or something!”

I go to stand next to Liz wrapping my arms around her as she leans weekly against me.

“We made a mistake.” She says quietly. “What else do you want us to say?”

The room is silent. An eerie silence, an uncomfortable silence. I feel Liz sag more heavily against me and I began to fear that if she doesn’t go lye down she’s gonna pass out. I voice my fears to the room and my parents allow me to take Liz up to my room.

“We are far from done with this conversation. Do you understand Max?” My father says this to me as I carry Liz up the stairs to my room.

“Yes, sir.” I say, but all I really care about is getting Liz safely back to my room.

Once inside my room I gently lay Liz on the bed, tucking her under the covers.

“Thank you.” I whisper kissing her on the lips.

“No problem.” She mumbles back sighing into my pillow. I start to pull away from her but stop as I notice my T-shirt tightly clutched in her hands.

“Don’t go.” She says pulling down on the bed beside her.

“I won’t.” I say as I spoon her to me.

I love her so much. And I promise I’m gonna figure out a way to make this work.

Somehow.

Hey you guys, alas we have more of the dreaded talk. It’s not that bad though. Much better then the last part. Oh and I’m back in third person so if you think that you are suddenly reading the wrong story don’t be alarmed. I’ve just switched back. But how about a little fluff before the flame hmm. Lalala Enjoy.

Chapter Seven

Max’s Bedroom.

Liz woke to the sound of a gentle hum, accompanied with a soft stroking across her stomach. The sound was soothing, quiet, peaceful, and relaxing. Though, she could behrly make it out through the haze of sleep. She sighed at the calmness of it. A soft tuneless melody that had no real words, only a smooth combination of la’s and da’s. It was the most beautiful sound she had ever heard. Combined with the continued stroking, the sound made her want to stretch languidly into the warmth of it.

As wakefulness began to descend upon her, Liz became aware of several things. One, the gentle sound that had been lulling her was a voice. Two, the gentle stroking a hand, and three, the voice belonged to Max.

Max.

He was singing to her. Not really singing. More humming, and not really to her, but to their baby. Max was singing to their unborn child. Liz’s eyes began to drift open and she glanced downward towards her stomach. Sure enough there he was. His head, resting on a pillow beside her abdomen. His hand, slowly caressing her stomach. And his voice, lowly humming that beautiful nonsensical song to her stomach. The sight was enough to bring tears to her eyes.

Slowly, as if sensing her wakefulness, Max raised his head and looked at her. He blushed shyly at being caught serenading her stomach, but he did not stop his singing, nor did he stop the running of his hands over Liz’s stomach. Reaching her hand down to his head, Liz began to slowly stroke the top of his head, running her fingers smoothly through his hair.

“Hi.” She whispered sleepily moving her hand down to cup his cheek.

Max stopped his idle stroking of her stomach and climbed back up the bed to her side. Wrapping his arms around her he pulled her close to his body before softly kissing her eyelids.

“Hi.” He whispered back. “Did you have a good nap?”

Liz nodded her head against Max’s body. He felt so good. So safe and she didn’t want to be anywhere else but right where she was. In his arms.

“Good.” He said kissing the top of her head. “And you don’t feel like you’re going to be sick anymore?”

Liz shook her head against his chest.

“Good.” He repeated.

They stayed that way for a moment. Neither saying a word, just basking in the nearness of each other, but they knew that their reprieve would be short lived, and soon they would have to go back downstairs and face their parents.

But not yet. Right now all Liz wanted was Max. Lifting her head against his chest Liz looked up to meet his gaze.

“Max, we have to talk.” She said seeing now as a good opportunity to finally talk to Max about the baby.

“Max a lot has happened in the pass few hours. And I just want…I need to know how you feel about all of this. All of it, you know? Not just the baby, but me, and…you know…being an alien, and what we should tell our parents.” Liz chewed her lip nervously awaiting Max’s response.

“Liz you’re right. A lot has happened. You’re pregnant, and that dose change things. But it doesn’t change how I feel about you. Whatever it takes to make this work I’m willing. But I need you to be willing to work with me too. I can’t tell my parents about me.”

“But Ma-”

“No.” Max said firmly cutting her off. “Not yet. It’s too dangerous. I love my parents Liz. But, now that you’re pregnant…I can’t risk it. I won’t risk your life or the life of our child.”

“But what if they can help us Max?” she asked meeting his eyes intensely.

Max drew in a hard breath. It would be so wonderful if he could tell his parents about himself and Michael and Isabel. But he just couldn’t. The stakes were just too high. If they turned their backs on him they would all be lost. If they knew what he was and they turned away from him...No he couldn’t deal with that. Liz was too involved now. He couldn’t risk her life. He couldn’t risk that they would see him as a monster. And her parents could never know. If they knew, they’d take her away from him. And she was everything to him. He would die before he lost her.

“We can’t tell them Liz.” He stated firmly.

Downstairs

At the same time the Evans and the Parkers sat inside the Evan’s living room having their own little discussion; however it was of an entirely different manner.

“So what are we going to do about this?” Nancy asked looking at the Evans who sat on the other side of the couch.

It had been a long night and a hard morning full of much discussion on what to do about their children’s current situation. Much of it had been filled with Philip and Jeff raging. And it had taken Diane and herself all they had to keep both of the men from going upstairs and severely laying into Max. Philip blamed Max because he felt that his son should have been responsible enough to know to never have sex with a girl without using proper protection. Jeff blamed Max because he was convinced that his precious baby girl had been seduced by that Evans hooligan.

“Well what are our options?” Diane asked looking at the Parkers

“Well there’s adoption.” Philip said looking around the room at the others.

Nancy shook her head no. “No, I know my daughter, and I know that she would never agree to give her child up. Even if it may be what’s best for the both of them.”

“Yes, and I don’t think that Max would be willing to give up the child either.” Diane said agreeing with Nancy.

“So adoption is out.” Jeff said looking at the three of them. “Any other ideas?”

“Listen, we’ve been tiptoeing around it all night and al morning, but I think we all know what other solution there is.” Philip said.

“You mean…” Nancy asked

“Termination.” Philip responded nodding his head at the rest of them.

Sure enough they had all been thinking it. If the baby were aborted then it would solve the problem easily. However none of them would say that. Abortion was such a touchy topic, and no one wanted to ever admit that they had consented to their children having an abortion.

Diane looked at the others nervously. Termination of the pregnancy seemed a bit drastic. Max and Liz were young yet, but they were not completely depended on themselves. Neither of the two of them was rolling in cash, and she knew that babies were expensive, but surly with the aid of Philip and herself ,the Parkers, plus the added income of both Max and Liz’s jobs they would be able to properly provide for this child. Of course there was also school to think about, but arrangements could be made.

“Philip, Honey, I think we may be overstepping it just a bit here. I mean we’re talking about a human life. That’s not something that can just be overlooked, and if we don’t think that Max and Liz would agree to give their child up for adoption what on earth makes you think they would agree to an abortion?”

Nancy shook her head in agreement. “Diane’s right Philip. I don’t think that abortion is the answer either.”

“So you think that they should just go ahead and have the baby?” Jeff asked his wife sounding a bit outraged at the idea.

“Jeff, what’s done is done. Liz is already pregnant. There is nothing that we can do to change that. And as much as I hate to say it, it looks like the four of us are going to be grandparents.” Diane finished.

It was true. They were going to grandparents. Diane sighed. When she had heard a noise coming from Max’s room this morning she had thought that it was Max’s friend Michael coming to spend sleep in Max’s room. She knew he had been privy to do that sometimes, but then she remembered that Michael had been emancipated for quite a while now. Philip had actually handled the case. Then she had heard a voice coming from Max’s room. A female voice. She hadn’t meant to pry, but her curiosity had gotten the best of her. Standing outside of Max’s room she had listened as Liz had told Max that she had something important to tell him. Then she had heard Liz confess to Max that she was pregnant. She could not stay out of the room after that.

“Well then.” Philip started, and she could tell that the thought was beginning to set in on him. “I guess that we should start making arrangements.” He said looking around the room at the others.

“I’ll go and wake Liz.” Nancy said rising from her seat to go and retrieve Max and Liz.

Later on at School

Max, Liz, Michael, Maria, Alex, and Isabel sat outside in the quad area of the school at lunch. They all sat at one of the picnic tables that had been set up. This morning Max and Liz’s parents had told them that they wanted to wait until after school before further discussing Liz’s pregnancy.

“So Liz is pregnant?” Michael said for what must have been the hundredth time that afternoon.

“For the thousandth time Michael yes Liz is pregnant. She was pregnant when we told you this morning. She was pregnant when you asked me in History, she’s pregnant now, and she will be pregnant in about two hours when you ask me again.”

Liz leaned back into Max’s chest from her position between his legs. She was feeling mortified and completely humiliated. Michael wasn’t making her feel any better about this. She was already scared enough as it was, and she knew that everyone would be shocked, but he acted as if it were an impossibility.

“Michael that’s enough!” Max finally snapped at his friend. He knew that Michael was making Liz uncomfortable and it was making him angry. “Would you stop being so damn insensitive about it. We know that Liz is pregnant alright. We don’t need you to remind us every five minutes.”

Michael gave Max a look, but said nothing else.

“So what are you guys going to do? You know, about the whole ‘alien’ thing.” Alex, who was sitting on top of the table said as he hoped off and went to take a seat next to Isabel.

Isabel looked up and met Max’s eyes. This was the chance that they had needed. The chance to tell their parents everything. They would have to tell them. With Liz being pregnant who knew what some of the weird alien affects on her would be. How were they supposed to explain things to their parents?

“Max we have to tell them.” Isabel said looking at her brother.

“What?” Michael asked giving her a look that said she had lost her mind.

“You heard me.” She said. “What other choice do we have?”

“No.” Max said shaking his head.

“No?” Isabel repeated.

Max sighed. He had know that Isabel would see this as the perfect opportunity to finally tell their parents about themselves, but as he had said before the risk was just too dangerous. He knew she wasn’t going to like this.

“Isabel we can’t tell them. Now more than ever. If they were to find out now, and…not except us who knows what they would do. What they would tell Liz’s parents.”

“Max they’re our parents. They love us.” Isabel pleaded. She knew that their parents love them. That id they just said the words their parents would understand.

“We can’t risk it Isabel.” Max repeated, wishing that it weren’t the case.

“They took us off the side of the rode Max. Two abandoned kids that they knew absolutely nothing about. They took us of the street and brought us into their homes no questions asked. They would never…do that to us. Why can’t you see that?”

As Max and Isabel argued Liz couldn’t help but feel like it was all her fault. She knew Max was sacred to tell their parents because of how it would affect her. He was worried about her, like he always was. She didn’t want him to always put himself second for her the way he always was. She didn’t want him to suffer because of her.

“Isabel I said n-”

“Max I think we should tell them.”

Five shocked faces turned to stare at Michael Guerin as those unbelievable words came out of his mouth.

“What?” They all asked in unison, as no other words could be formed.

“I said I think we should tell your fokes.” Michael said in a very low voice.

When still no one said anything Michael just shrugged his shoulder.

“Look Maxwell, your dad is a lawyer and he’s a pretty cool guy. I guess that’s gotta mean something. And like you said they helped out two kids form the middle of nowhere for no apparent reason so…”

“So you think we should tell them?” Max asked not knowing this Michael he was speaking to.

“…And” Michael added after a while.

“And?” Isabel pressured.

“And he helped me out too alright so.” With that Michael rose from his spot and began to walk away from the rest of them.

“SO that’s it then. Isabel said looking at Max excitedly. “We tell them.”

Max said nothing as he watched Michael walk away from the table.

“We tell them.” he repeated.

Hey everybody. I’m back with a new part. I can’t believe how much you guys like this story. And groveling for a new chapter? Wow! I honestly didn’t think I was that good. But thank all of you guys for the support. Lalala here it is

Chapter Eight

Roswell High

“Class I would like to welcome a new student today. Everyone this is Tess Harding. She just transferred here and I would like for all of you to make her feel welcome today.”

The classroom was relatively quiet aside from the few whispers as Tess stood in front of them.

Tess silently examined the classroom. Hmm, Isabel was in this class. She knew Shellva said not to make contact with them yet but what could she do if it were out of her control. She needed a place to start if she was going to get close to Max, and who better to start with than Max’s own sister.

“Now, who would like to volunteer to help catch Miss. Harding catch up with the rest of us?”

Oh perfect. Looking at Isabel Tess, concentrated as hard as she could.

Isabel looked broadly at her nails as Mr. Morrison introduced the new girl to the class. She was distracted by the feeling of something crawling up her arm.

“Ahh!” she screamed, waving her arm as a spider made its way across it.

“Miss. Evans, how nice of you to volunteer.” Mr. Morrison said.

“What?” Isabel asked looking up confusedly at Mr. Morrison’s words. She looked back down at her arm, however there was no spider in sight.

“Miss. Harding why don’t you go and have a seat next to Miss. Evans.”

Oh great. Isabel thought as the new girl made her way towards her.

“Alright then class lets continue shall we? Now the main factor of World War II was…”

“Hi.” The girl, Tess whispered next to her. Isabel looked at the girl and gave her as friendly a smile as she could muster.

“Hey.” She whispered back.

“I’m Tess.” She said sticking her hand out.

“Isabel.” She said. But she didn’t shake Tess’s hand.

Neither one of the girls said anything else to each other. Isabel wanted to scream, she couldn’t believe she was going to have to spend the rest of the class period going over everything they had been doing in this class for the past few weeks.

“So is it me or is Mr. Morrison’s toupee totally on backwards?” Tess whispered over to Isabel.

Isabel almost busted into laughter. She had actually been sitting here all class period thinking that exact same thing. She didn’t say anything, only covered her mouth with her hand to still the laughter and nodded her head at Tess.

“I mean get a comb jeez.” Tess said quietly.

This time the laughter almost did spill out.

Both girls glanced down at their papers as Mr. Morrison turned to face the class room. After he turned back they both snickered quietly.

The remainder of the class turned out to not be that bad, and Tess actually seemed to be a pretty cool person. After Mr. Morrison had given them their in class assignments Isabel and Tess had spent the rest of the class talking instead of working. As it turned out they actually had a lot of things in common, and for some reason Tess seemed vaguely familiar to her.

“So Isabel what are you doing after school today?” Tess asked nonchalantly as she possibly could. She actually knew what Isabel was going to be doing after school. The same thing that she did every day. She would go to the Crashdown with either Michael or Alex. Well wouldn’t things be just peachy if she just happened to tag along.

“Actually, some friends and I were going to hang out at one the local restaurants in town. The Crashdown. I know it’s kinda cheesy, but the foods not bad. You should come. You’re new here in town right?” Isabel asked

Score! Tess thought. “Yeah sure that sounds like fun. Plus I would love to meet your friends.” She added.

“Alright, cool then I’ll see you after school.” Isabel said smiling at her.

“Yeah, sure.” Tess said.

The bell rang signaling the end of class and both of the girls packed up their things and left the classroom.

Things could not have been more perfect if she had laid out all of the plans herself. Tess thought as she walked to her next class. Things were going swimmingly. All she had to do was get in with the rest of them. Which, if Isabel was any indication would not be to hard of a feat to manage.

Yes, things were going swimmingly indeed.

************

Well he hoped she was having fun. Of course disobeying his orders was the stupidest thing that she could be doing right now, but at least she was proving that she was in fact the perfect pond.

Shellva glanced down at his watch. She was throwing his timing off a bit, but not too much. Things were still going fine. He would have to revel himself sooner then he would have liked, but that was no real problem either. Now the parents. They were a problem. But they too could be dealt with. The problem was how?

There was the easy way. He could just kill them. But killing was such a permanent solution to a temporary problem. And it was so messy.

Or he could use them to his own benefit. Maybe he would allow them in on all of this. If they reacted the way that Max and the others hoped they would react he would allow them to live and use them accordingly. However if they proved themselves to be a threat then they would have to be eliminated.

Maria’s Bedroom

“What about…Peter?”

“Peter?”

“Peter’s a good name. Nice and sturdy.”

Liz rolled her eyes at her friends comment. Maria and she had been lying in Maria’s bed discussing baby names for the past half hour. She had come over to Maria’s house after school because she had not wanted to have to deal with her parents until she got home later on that night. She knew that until then they would have been breathing down her throat and she just did not want to have to deal with that right now. So she and Maria had been hiding out in Maria’s house since then.

“Peter Parker?” Liz asked looking at her friend skeptically.

“Or Evans, you never know.” Maria said poking her friend in the ribs.

“Maria, Max and I aren’t going to get married just because I’m pregnant.” Liz said rolling her eyes.

“No, Max and you are going to get married because you love him and he loves you, and your father’s probably going to kill him if he doesn’t.” Maria said.

“Fine then, Maria I’m not going to marry Max because I’m pregnant.” Liz clarified.

“Why not? You guys are just going to end up getting married anyway; you may as well do it now. Besides, if you get married now your kid won’t be…you know… a…”
“A bastard Maria?”

“An out of wedlock child.” Maria said very slowly.

“Maria all of the books say that a baby is not a reason to get married.”

“Yeah well fifty percent of all marriages end in divorce anyway so what dose that tell you about the books?”

“And thank you for that vote of confidence.” Liz said playfully hitting her friend.

“Hey, I’m just giving the facts.” Maria said.

“Can we just go back to baby names?” Liz asked

“Fine, fine, so no Peter right?”

“No Peter.” Liz said shaking her head.

Suddenly Maria phone began to ring.

“Hello?” Maria answered picking up the phone. But her smile faded as she listened to the other end.

“Um, Liz it’s your mom. She wants you to come home.” Maria said looking at her friend.

Liz sighed and sat up from the bed. Her we go.

The Parker’s Living Room

Liz squeezed Max’s hand tightly in hers as she sat next Max on the couch in her living room. She was so scared she thought that she would scream. Her parents had called her and Max along with the Evans to finish there little morning discussion. She knew that their parents had talked more after last night, but she had know idea what had been decided if anything. They were about to find out.

“Max, Liz, we have spent a lot of time thinking about what is best for the two of you right now in this situation. And we all agree that right now finishing high school is very important for the two of you. We don’t want either of you to have to drop out of school because of the financial responsibility of this child, so we have agreed that we will both be helping you to deal with that.

“Mom, we can’t let yo-”

“Liz we know what we are doing, and don’t say what you can’t let us do because there is know way that you are Max will be able to take care of this baby without ours and the Evan’s help.”

Liz was quiet. She knew that her mother was right. Neither she nor Max could afford to raise a baby by themselves.

Mr. Evans stood and addressed the two of them.

“There is something else that we wanted to discuss with the two of you regarding the living situation.”

“Living situation?” Max asked eyeing his father strangely.

“Yes.” Mr. Evans said nodding his head. “I was able to get in contact with a colleague of mine who has maid a few connections for me. He specializes in making deals with people who have situations like this, and he was able to get me an affordable deal on a place that is not too far from here. Now it’s nothing fancy or anything, but it’s big enough for the two of you and a baby. And it’s not too far from here and our house.

“You mean an apartment? For Liz and me?” Max asked,

“Yes.” Mr. Evans said

Max and Liz were both completely and utterly speechless. There parents were agreeing to help them finically with the baby and not only that but they were also going allow the two of them to move in together. It was completely unbelievable.

“We do expect the two of you to continue to go to school, and to work part time as you have been. We want you to know that we love you and that we didn’t mean to be so hard on you this morning, but we just wanted to think of everything that was best for you.” Diane said.

Max didn’t know what to think. This was all jus so overwhelming. Both his and Liz’s parents were showing them much trust by doing this. And they were also showing how much they cared about the two of them. All this was making him began to see that maybe Isabel and Michael were right. It was time for them to tell their parents everything.

Hey, I got my second banner. It’s soooo cutie! Thanks again mrsjbehr for making it for me. You rock girly! I’m gonna post it here so everyone can see it, but I’ll move it to the first part when I post Chapter ten. Sorry for the long delay, I hope you all like the new part. Oh and Welcome all new readers! Hi Old readers! Hi Lurkers!

The Plot thickens! Lalala here it is.

Chapter Nine

Crashdown Café: a few days later

Tess watched the three aliens sitting at the booth from her position outside of the Crashdown. Although she and Isabel had become friends over the last few days things were still moving at a rather sluggish pace. She had Isabel completely wrapped around her finger. Now all she had to do was work on Max and Michael. Of course she wasn’t worried about them. Aliens are not they were still boys. All she needed was a little old fashion charm.

Fluffing her hair one good time, and plastering on a smile that reeked of friendliness Tess walked into the Crashdown,

“Hi Isabel!” she said waving at the booth were the three were sitting. She had to hide the hint of satisfaction that she felt when Isabel scooted aside to make a space for her.

“Hey Tess.” Isabel said back. “Max, Michael, this is my friend Tess. Tess this is my brother Max, and our friend Michael.”

“It’s nice to meet you both.” Tess said letting her eyes trail over Max very noticeably. Well he was even cutter up close.

“Nice to meet you.” Max said politely. He didn’t know why but a very sudden, very strange feeling washed over him. He tried to brush it aside.

“Yeah whatever. Michael said completely ignoring Tess. “Maxwell do you still need me to come over to help you move the last of your stuff?”

“Oh yeah, there’s just a few more boxes that I need help with, but there’s no rush.” Max said turning his attention back to Michael

“Move?” Tess asked sounding surprised. She turned to look at Isabel. “Are you guys moving?” Max and Isabel weren’t moving were they? Shellva would have told her so.

“Oh no no I’m not going anywhere. Just Max.” Isabel said

“Oh…that’s nice. Your parents must really trust you.” Tess said. Max was moving? Where? Why hadn’t Shellva said anything about it to her? Did he even know?

“Yeah, something like that.” Max said feeling a little uncomfortable discussing his personal life with this stranger. There was something not right about this girl. She looked friendly enough. But still there was something that about her that he just couldn’t put his finger on.

“Yeah well I’m gonna split.” Michael said sliding out from the booth. “I’ll swing back over to your place a little later Maxwell.: Michael said then he existed the Crashdown.

Max wanted to follow him. But he couldn’t. He was waiting for Liz and he didn’t want to just leave, but he was getting more and more uncomfortable sitting here with Isabel and her new friend.

“Hey you guys.” Liz said as she walked up to the booth that Max and Isabel were sitting at. Max immediately wrapped his arms around her waist and pulled her flush against his side.

“Liz this is Tess. She just moved here. Tess this is my brother’s girlfriend Liz.” Isabel said introducing the two.

“Hey, Tess, welcome to Roswell.” Liz greeted Tess with a friendly smile. Tess smiled back, but the smile did not quite reach her eyes.

“Max, Maria and I are going to head over to the apartment and start unpacking some of our things.” She said turning back to Max.

“I’ll go with you.” Max said a little too quickly.

“Okay.” Liz said a little startled by Max sudden desire to go with them, but she wasn’t going to complain. She definitely didn’t mind the company. “See you later Isabel.” She said taking Max’s hand and pulling him up from his seat. “It was nice to meet you Tess.”

Then she and Max too left the Crashdown.

Once Liz and Max left, Tess turned her attention to Isabel. She needed to find out what the situation with Max and Liz was.

“Wow, your brother is hot!” she said in a strictly platonic friend tone.

“Oh please.” Isabel said shaking her head.

“I’m serious. It’s too bad he has a girlfriend.”

Isabel just shrugged her shoulders. “Yeah well.”

“And they must be pretty serious if they’re moving in together.” Tess probed trying to get Isabel to confirm the suspicions of what she already believed.

“Oh…yeah, they are. It’s pretty serious with them.” Isabel said with more then a touch of uncomfortableness in her tone.

Tess eyed her suspiciously. There was obviously something else going on with the two of them.

“Come on lets talk about something else.” Isabel said quickly changing the subject.

Yep, Tess thought. There was definitely something else going on.

The House

“Why the hell didn’t you tell me that Max had a girlfriend?” Tess blew into the house like an angry tornado. She was livid. She wanted answers, and she wanted them now.

“Well, it’s nice to see you too Tess.” Shellva said. He sat at the kitchen table with his feet propped up on the table in a very human fashion. He was eating a bag of skittles. Something that he found her quite enjoyed.

“I’m sick of all your bullshit. Now tell me what the hell is going on, and tell me now!”

”Hmm.” Shellva scoffed “What makes you think that I’m any more clear on the situation then you are?”

“Don’t be a cute with me Shellva.” Tess said. “I know you know what’s going on here, now tell me.”

Shellva popped another skittle in his mouth. Then gave her a smirk. Taking his feet of the table he sat up straight in his chair. He supposed that it was time that he filled her in a little.

“Fine, fine, but I suggest that you sit down for this.” He said motioning for her to have a seat at one of the chairs surrounding the table. She did.

“Elizabeth Parker is Max Evans’s soul-mate.” He said flashing her a devilish smile.

“She’s his what? Tess gasped

“Oh no, no Tess that’s not the half of it. Not only is she his soul-mate, but she is also pregnant with the future heir to the Antarian throne.”

Tess was speechless. He had to be joking.

“She’s pregnant?” she asked stupidly.

“Bingo!” Shellva plopped another skittle in her mouth. “Mmm.” He said sucking on the hard candy. “Taste the rainbow.”

Tess reached across the table and snatched the bag from him throwing it across the room. Causing the candy to spill out all over.

“Would you stop it with the damn candy?” she said angrily.

Shellva laughed as the room was covered in little skittles. “Oh temper, temper Tess.” He said, and then laughed again.

Tess ran her hands through her hair in agitation. How could this be possible? All her life Shellva had done nothing but tell her that she was going to be Max’s queen. The queen of Antar. Now he was saying that Max already had a queen?

“I don’t understand. If Liz is Max’s soul-mate, and she’d pregnant then what the hell do you need me for?” All of this new information was making her blatantly aware of just how clueless she truly was. She did not like this at all.

“Well Tess,” Shellva started, “Here is the thing. All you need to know right now is that if all goes well, and it should, you will be the next Queen of Antar. Just like you wanted.”

“Ua-uh,” Tess said shaking her head at him. “Sorry Shellva, that’s not going to fly. I’m sick of all of your beating around the bush. Either you tell me what’s going on right now. Or I’m gonna go to Max and the others and tell them about you, and me, and everything that I know.”

She was serious. Shellva knew she was serious. An angry look played across his face.

“Do you think your not expendable Tess?” he asked raising his hand towards her. She didn’t back down.

“I guess we’ll find out won’t we?” she said meeting him head on.

Damn, Shellva thought lowering his hand. She was expendable, but if he killed her it would set them back months, maybe even years. He didn’t have that kind of time. He had no choice but to tell her everything now.

“Very well then. I’ll tell you what you want to know Tess, but I’m only gonna say all of this once so let’s try to get threw this with as little interruptions s possible shall we?” He said easing back into his chair.

“Everything I told you about you and Max, and your destiny is a lie.” He said then paused to let that sink in. “There is no you and Max, you are not his soul mate, and you are not his queen.”

Tess couldn’t have been more surprised if he had sprouted wings and started flying around the room. She knew he said not to interrupt but there was no way that he could just expect her to sit here quietly while he abated her entire existence.

“Well then who the hell am I Shellva?” she asked him angrily.

“You are the Antessial Vara of Antar. Code-named Tess or Ava.” Shellva answered.

“Antessial Vara? What the hell dose that mean?” Tess asked.

Shellva sighed in exasperation. It seemed he was going to have to explain everything to her.

“Antessalation is the Antarian equivalent to human insemination. Only it doesn’t involve the use of actual people. And Vara is the Antarian word for Queen. Put them together and what do you get? You are the inseminated Queen of Antar.” Shellva clarified.

“So you’re saying that I was created?” Tess asked.

“Exactly.” Shellva said reaching into the breast pocket of his coat, and pulling out a pack of cigarettes. He took one out and placed it to his lips, but he did not light it.

“Years ago the oracle Valla, foretold that the Queens son would be a prodigy. And that he would come to lead our planet to one of the most prosperous times that it has ever know. There were only three people who knew of what the oracle foretold. The Queen, myself, and a man by the name of Kihvar. Kihvar was the Queens advisor. He was also a traitor. He leaked this information to our enemies, the skin, and lickety-split, Zan had a death threat on his head before he reached the age of five.” Shellva paused and snapped his fingers over the tip of the cigarette lighting it.

“Now, like any good mother, Queen Zora went to the Great Goddess for help. She prayed to her for a way to save her son’s life. The Goddess told her of Earth. Third planet from the sun of the Milky Way Galaxy. Since earth is relatively similar to Antar in its appearance of it’s inhabitance then The Great Goddess felt that Zan could be safe here. I however highly disputed that theory, but that’s neither here nor there.

“Antarian likeliness aside, there was also something else Earth had which made it the ideal place to hide the king. Apparently, according to the Oracle’s prophecy, the king MUST go to Earth. Once there he would procreate with a human and return with the heir of his human love. Only then would Zan be able to come home, and take his place as king. You know typical vague goddess prophecy.

“All of this was fine with Queen Zora except for one little part. ‘The heir of his human love’. A child that would be half human half Antarian. Zora didn’t like that. But she had no other choice but to accept it. In order for the prophecy to be fulfilled then Zan’s heir has to be half human. That means that Zan’s soul-mate is human. We want to fulfill the prophecy, but we don’t want anything to do with this planet. Having a human Queen would give us too many close ties to Earth. We have accepted that in order for our planet to survive, and for the prophecy to be fulfilled that we must accept a half human heir. As of now Antar is not known of to Earth, but in the future this will not be so. If Earth were to ever discover that it had ties to the royal family of Antar it could mean war. And one day Antar could even be completely taken over by Earth.

“Then we discovered a loophole. The prophecy only specified that we needed the heir of Zan’s human love. Not the actual human herself. So that’s when the idea for you was surmised.”

Shellva stopped talking and took a long hard drag on his cigarette. He played around with the smoke in his mouth before letting it come out threw his nose. Tess sat ideally by listening to what he was saying.

“So let me get this straight. In order for Antar to be ‘prosperous’ you guys needed to send Max here, where he would procreate with some human girl, Liz. Then, once they have a baby he’s supposed to come home where he will rule as king. But, you guys where so afraid that earth would somehow find out about this little setup you got and want a piece of you guys planet. So in order to stop that from happening you created me…for what?”

“You Tess are the perfect Antarian woman. And we gave you a special power. The ability to mindwarp. We gave you this power to enable you to make Max forget about his human love. Also, to make him believe that you are his love. So that when the time comes that the heir is born Zan can return home with his heir, the child Liz is carrying, and his queen, you. And he won’t remember a thing about Liz Parker.

“So you created me to put memories of Max and me in his head so that when we return to Antar he will think that he has been in love with me the whole time.” Tess said as it all began to come together for her.

“She got it in one.” Shellva said taking another puff from his cigarette. “The problem is the mindwarp isn’t strong enough for him to just forget Liz completely. That’s why the timing is so important, and why you must do everything I say when I say it. If you start mindwarping Max too soon, then it will ware off before we are prepared to make our departure. Which we can’t do until after the child is born. Seeing as how Liz is human we can’t be sure how long the gestation period will be. However, once we get Max back to Antar we have the technology to wipe his mind clean of any memories of Liz at all and make permanent the memories that you give him of yourself.”

Tess smiled; she liked the sound of all of this. But there were still some things that she was not clear on.

“What about Michael and Isabel? What do they have to do with all of this?”

“Inquisitive little thing aren’t you?” Shellva asked becoming annoyed. Tess just shrugged and waited for him to answer her question.

“Michael and Isabel are actually here to serve two purposes. One for you, and one for Max. Regardless of the traitorousness of this plan the Queen developed in order to keep her son away from his true love she dose in fact love him. Zan was still a child when all of this was discovered. The only way to send Zan here was threw pods. The only way to put Zan in the pod and keep him from…well going crazy, we had to erase all his memories of Antar. That’s why Max doesn’t remember anything about where he came from. Zora didn’t want her son to be completely alone on this planet, so she sent with him his sister Vilandra, so that he would have the love of his family, and his best friend Rath, so that he would have the companionship of his friend.”

Tess nodded her head in understanding. “And how do Michael and Isabel benefit me?” she asked.

“I was getting to that. If you would have a little patience.” Shellva groaned. “Anyway, when we placed Rath and Vilandra in the pods naturally we wiped their minds clean too. However, we gave them memories of you that could be triggered by the mindwarp. But, we felt that it was too risky to attempt to do the same to Zan. That’s why you seem familiar to Isabel, and you will eventually begin to seem so to Michael as well.”

“I find it hard to believe that they’re just going to forget all about Liz and the other humans too.” Tess asked thinking she’d found a flaw in his plan.

“Eventually the memories that we gave them will began to overrun the memories that they have of this world. But again that is a thing of timing. Also, again this will not work unless the mindwarping is done precisely when, and for however long I say.”

“Of course.” Tess said not really listening to him any longer. She had just found out that she had been being lied to her entire life. But truthfully she wasn’t angry. She was actually even a little relived. This didn’t really change anything, She still got to be queen, and hell she didn’t have to be pregnant. All in all she was getting the long end of the stick.

“Fine, Shellva I’ll be your Antessial Vara or whatever. After all, it is what I was made for.” She said smiling at him.

Shellva watched the smile of satisfaction on Tess’s face. He knew she would agree. Why would she object? As he watched her for a split second he doubted himself, the queen, and this entire plan. But then he remembered that he would rather die a painful death a thousand times then see Antar one day run by humans. His doubt was short lived.

So he just nodded his head and puffed his cigarette. Tess thought that she had this all figured out. But there were still things that she didn’t know, things that he had purposely reframed from telling her. One of them being that getting the King to forget his human love was not going to be as easy as she seemed to think it would be. And little Lizzy Parker played a much bigger role then he would have her believe. But he kept those bits o’ information to himself for the time being. She’d find out everything soon enough. Soon enough.

Okay here is the new chapter. This is a short part. I’ve been kinda busy lately so I’m a bit behind. I hope you guys enjoy
Lalala

Chapter Ten

Max & Liz’s Apartment

“What the hell is in this one?”

This angry expletive came from Michael as he and Max, who were followed by Liz and Maria carried yet another box of Liz’s things up to Max and Liz’s new apartment.

“What, they’re just a few books Michael.” Liz answered

“A few? You got the whole Roswell Public Library in here don’t ya?”

“Michael, don’t be such a baby.” Maria said rolling her eyes

“You wanna try carrying it?” he shot back.

“Alright, that’s enough.” Max interrupted. “This box is heavy so can we please just get it to the apartment?”

“Why can’t you guys just use the elevator?” Maria asked

“Because, Maria the elevator’s broken.” Liz explained.

“Couldn’t one of you guys just fix it?” Maria asked wiggling her eyebrow suggestively.

“If we could, don’t you think one of us would have done it by now?” Michael replied.

Maria just rolled her eyes again. Michael had been acting surly all afternoon. They were all getting tired of it.

“You know Michael if you didn’t want to help us move then you could have just stayed home.” Liz said as she opened the door for Max and Michael to take the box inside the apartment.

“You’d think so would you”? Michael said setting the box down by the door.

Max sighed and looked around his and Liz’s small apartment. That was the last one. They had been moving in for almost a week. Between getting things from Max’s house and things from Liz’s house, plus going back for all of the things that Liz had forgotten, and all of the new things that Liz and Maria had gone shopping for, there little apartment was a cluster of stuff.

The small kitchenette was fully stocked after Isabel and Diane had come barring groceries. The Parkers had also given them their share of things. Maria and Liz had brought a few appliances and Mr. Parker had given a microwave that he had in the back of the Crashdown. They had a table and some chairs that Maria had gotten from a flea market. Other then those few things it was far from a full-fledged kitchen. There was only one TV, and it was set up in the living room, but it was sufficient. However, Liz kept complaining that they needed a couch. There were still a few boxes in the living room area that needed to be moved into the bedroom.

There was one bedroom, but it was big. Big enough to fit Max and Liz’s bed along with the crib that had belonged to Liz when she was a baby. Liz’s mother had given it to them, and Liz had balled for almost an hour. It seemed like that pregnancy hormone thing was really starting to kick in with her. Their bedroom was a combination of some of Liz’s things along with some of Max’s. It wasn’t overly crowded, but Liz did have a few too many things for the small space.

“So are we done here or what?” Michael asked as he maneuvered his way through the boxes that were scattered throughout the apartment.

“Yes Michael, you can go.” Liz said laughing. Actually she didn’t mind Michael being in a hurry to leave. She herself was actually a bit anxious to be with Max alone.

“I’m going to go too. Call me later.” Maria walked over next to Liz and kissed her on the cheek.

“I will.”

She then turned to face Max. “I hope you guys have fun getting settled in.,” she gave Max a wink.

“We will.” Liz said as she ushered Michael and Maria out of the apartment. “Bye you guys.”

Closing the door Liz turned around and faced Max.

“Home sweet home.”

“Yeah.”

He looked so sexy standing there in his sweat-soaked wife beater. His muscled arms rippling beneath it. She wanted to run her hands all over his body.

“So roomy, what do you want to do in our new apartment first?” Liz asked with a smile as she slowly began to walk his way. She purposely swayed her hips seductively so as to entice him.

“I can think of a few things.” Max gave her a smile as she drew nearer. Lifting up her arms she wrapped them around his neck, and pulled him in for a kiss. She kissed him lazily. Gently playing her lips against his. Teasing little kisses that were meant to drive him crazy.

“Little Tease.” He whispered, but didn’t stop her. He let her trail kisses down his face to the under side of his chin, till she reached his neck where she began to gently suckle the skin there.

“Mmm, taste like Max.” she said running her tongue down his neck.

Max could stand no more. Lifting her high in his arms, he maneuvered his way around all of the boxes and carried her into their bedroom.

Placing her on the bed he lowered himself down over her body and began to kiss her as ravenously as she had kissed him.

Soon they were both nothing but two naked bodies rubbing against each other in complete desire. Max’s body was warm beneath Liz’s fingers as she wrapped her hands around his back drawing him inside of her at last. She loved the feel of him. He was always so strong and completely wild with lust. And always for her.
Max groaned as he entered Liz’s body. He could never get enough of her. The taste of her lips, the feel of her body against his. The sound of her moans of excitement. He loved making love to her. She was like everything he could ever want. She sheathed him perfectly. Her warm wetness taking him in as if she were made for him and him alone. And when he moved inside of her it was like he had died and gone to heaven.

“You feel so good.” He breathed raggedly against her skin.

“Shh…more” she said as she placed a finger against his lips signaling him not to speak. She then pulled his lips down to hers for a scotching kiss.

Max began to move faster, giving her all she desired and more. They were both completely heated and the force of their desire was building up into a ragging inferno. The pleasure was unbelievable, undeniable. Liz could behrly catch her breath as Max took her harder and faster.

“Max!” she all but screamed. “I love you, I love you so much!” her words expelled from her as she felt the first wave of her orgasm hit. The force of it was so intense she could hardly stand it.

Max felt as Liz’s walls began to contract around him and almost released himself inside of her. But he wanted to hold on longer. He wanted to make her orgasm again, and again until the both of them were spent to exhaustion.

Just when Liz felt herself coming down from her explosive orgasm she felt another one building just as quickly. It was amazing. She cried out her pleasure, and reached her hands down to grasps Max’s butt in her hands driving him even deeper inside of her. She wanted it all. She wanted all of him.

“Oh Max…yes…more…I want it all…all of you.”

“I’m all yours Liz…no ones but yours.”

And with that they both climaxed into two mind-blowing orgasms that spread through out their bodies in wild abandonment. Liz clutched Max tightly to her as she felt him release inside of her at the same time that her orgasm clamed her. It was pure magic.

Max could think of nothing aside from the unbelievable pleasure that he was expiring as he rocked his body hard inside of Liz while his orgasm died down. It was pure magic.

Afterwards, laying quietly in each other’s arms they both sighed in unison.

“Are you okay?” Max asked kissing her sweating forehead gently.

Liz couldn’t speak. She just nodded against his chest and squeezed him tighter to her.

They lay there for some time, basking in the remnants of their lovemaking.

“I love you too.” Max whispered against her ear, and nibbled gently.

Liz giggled and pressed her lips to his chest.

“So, I guess that’s one down.”
