"You two needing a ride?" Alex asks.
“That would be great” Jake says before I can open my mouth to flat out refuse. I look at Jake with a mixture of complete shock, confusion and horror. Now let me explain why I am feeling these three emotions all at once as I stare at the sinfully handsome face of Jake.
Shock because I just assumed that Jake would be driving us so that we could have some alone time, confusion because I would have to be blind to miss the looks the two guys have been sharing and horror because well its Alex and its not as if we’ve gotten off to the best of starts and why would I want Whitman as the third wheel on my date?
“I thought you were going to drive,” I say, giving Jake a meaningful look.
“Why bother when Alex said he would drive us?” Jake asks with a shrug
I turn my meaningful look on Alex “Are you sure you got room for us Alex? I mean surely you must have promised to take some of the others!”
“Nope,” Alex says obviously unable to understand the look. Maybe if I hit him over the back of the head he will get the message.
“Fine then” I say through clenched teeth glaring at both of them. Alex does the right thing by looking slightly scared although he doesn’t look at all surprised that I’m glaring at him but then again I guess I have spent a lot of time glaring at him while Jake grins obvious finding my glare amusing.
“Aww baby, are you pissed cause you couldn’t have your own way? I promise I‘ll let you be in charge later tonight sweetness” Jake whispers into my ear before biting it softly causing me to squeak in shock. “I’ll even let you tie me up”
“Can I gag you as well?” I ask flippantly with a trade mark eye brow raise.
“Ouch, the kitten has claws” Jake laughs pressing a hard kiss to my mouth.

I come downstairs to find Maria and Isabel are already there with Jake and Alex. I try to keep my fear from my eyes as I overhear what's going on between them. Thankfully, it seems that Alex is actually able to conduct a conversation in Isabel's prescence. Even more amazing, she's not blasting him for his input.
And all this over a conversation about bikinis and sexy lingerie. The images flashing across my mind make me feel a bit embarrassed so I quickly send them on their way, wondering how Alex can even stand it. I mean, if this had been about Liz, I'm not sure I'd be able to stay standing.
I walk over to him and I'm about to offer him some quiet words when suddenly he's offering the lovebirds a ride. Brilliant move, I think. Way to torture yourself. But then, Jake actually accepts and I realize that maybe it's Alex's way to keep them underwatch. They won't be able to get so 'involved' with a chaperone along as the driver. Maybe it is brilliant, afterall. Or it will be if it works. If those two start going at in in the back seat while Alex is driving, I'm sure he'll go right off the road.
"You sure you want to take them?" I ask Alex quietly. "Tess and I could do it," I suggest, although I know trying to change after Jake has accepted would be awkward.
Then Isabel's comments have me grinning. It's fun to see her annoyed at someone other than Alex. Maybe her icy attitude toward him isn't as personal as it seems, if Jake gets it, too. Although, she's always been nice to me.
Isabel glances in my direction and notices my grin. I give her an approving nod, but I reframe from saying anything that will lessen the impact of her perfectly delivered line.

Isabel asks whether someone else isn't already driving with me, obviously wanting alone time with Jake. I expected Max, Liz and Tess to maybe come with me but now that I offered and Jake's grinning at me (he surely will want to make out in my car - Bastard!) I will have to drive them. Maybe I can find a way of having one of them sitting next to me and the other in the back. Yeah, sure!

Trying to block out what Jake's doing with poor Isabel, I'm about to answer Max when he grins at Isabel - probably for her witty remark. A remark I prefer to Jake's I have to admit.
If she gags him, then maybe, he'll die because of not getting air! Well, not that that will ever happen but it's one way to keep my mind of the ... couple, I guess.
"Honestly," I whisper to Max, "I didn't expect them to agree. I only wanted to be polite."
Seeing his surprised look, I nod, "Yeah, I know, not smart and it really backfired. Promise me, whatever happens - shot me if I ask you to when the drive's over and keep Tess away from me when she finds out."
Max shakes his head with a chuckle at that, "I'll shot you but you have to deal with Tess yourself."
I pout a bit at him but I understand him, I wouldn't want to come between Tess and her possible victims either. Heaving an exaggerated smile as show act for Max, I turn to Isabel, trying to keep Jake out of my view.
"As much as I hate to disturb you two, Isabel, I think the others will be on the way to the beach soon so," I shrug a bit, not really knowing how to continue best, "if you could go change and get your stuff, that'd be great."

'Is Maria your type?' Kyle asks. I hide my frown, maintaining my usual cool as I take another drink. I'm about to tell him that every girl is my type, but it's really not true. Sometimes I'm not interested. And there was that conversation with Liz about some girls maybe not liking my type.
Of course, she also said I shouldn't act so cocky. Doesn't she understand that that's who I am?
Realizing I've been silent a moment too long, I give Kyle a shrug. "The girl got the body of a swimsuit model and a firey attitude. What's not to like? All the girls here are great."

“Okay, I’ll be right back” I state but make don’t move. I don’t really want to leave Jake and Alex alone together because god knows what will be said.
“Do you want me to come and help you get ready babe?” Jake asks and I resist the urge to roll my eyes. Yeah like I haven’t heard that line before.
“Are you sure?” Jake asks, his fingers trailing up and down my bare arm “I could rub lotion into all those hard to reach places”
I nod and grin slowly “Try not to picture me upstairs, getting undressed and covering myself in lotion. I wouldn’t want you to be uncomfortable on the drive to the beach!”
I quickly dart away before he can say another word and smile at Max, “Hey Max,” I say quickly before leaving the room.

I can't really concentrate on what Max is saying, the bits of what I heard from Isabel and Jake's banter still going through my mind. What did I get myself into?
Finally turning to Max, I say, "You could ask whether they want to drive with you two or with Maria." I wonder if I should warn him about Michael, but what should I say? He doesn't like you? That's not a good reasoning, I fear. I better watch Michael and Max tonight (better than Jake and Isabel) and decide tomorrow what I will do about those two.
"Hm, come to think of it why don't you take Kyle and Liz? Michael and Maria went out yesterday, maybe they want to spend time together?" I say.
Okay, so I don't know if they want to do that but just because I don't want to say anything about Michael to Max yet, doesn't mean I am against keeping them apart for a little longer.
I really should talk to Isabel about what problems she has with me but with her and Liz most likely in their room, that's not a good idea. Maybe Liz can spy a bit for me. That brings me to Liz and Max. So many things to worry about and so little time and no ideas at all!

After changing about a million and one times, I finally decide to slip on the sparkly hot pink bikini that Lilly talked me into buying, I like it, though I think it shows off a little too much, and I've never really worn it because we hardly go to the beach, most of my friends are much more interested in the Night Clubs and such. The black bikini was really ugly and the green one showed off waaay too much.
At the last minute, due to feeling a bit naked, I pull on a pair of cut offs before tying my hair back into a loose ponytail. I head back downstairs, wondering if anyone was down there yet, when I immediately spot Max, "Hey." I say approaching him with a smile.

Max: Awesome guy! I'm damn sorry for thinking so bad of him once. I hit him and he offered peace - how cool is that? And now he's even helping me with Isabel, I think. If I ever get famous, I'll dedicate a hit of mine to him.
Liz: Still quiet but like Max, she's now trying to help me with Isabel so she'll have to interact more with others, I guess. She's cool though when she comes out of her shell.
Michael: I don't know what to think of him. He saved Maria's life but then he is not liking Max. But okay, I didn't like him yesterday either so … Michael probably thinks he's the next James Dean and Brad Pitt in one.
Tess: Pretty decent. Likes to plan and hates it when things aren't going her way. But she's also fun to be around and nice.
Kyle: Don't know him well yet but seems nice. Obviously likes porn.
Isabel: Blonde goddess who unforntatly I have ruined everything for her and now she even seems to have a boyfriend. I'm acting like a complete dork around her.

I start checking my bag making sure that I’ve got everything as I walk into the hall. Sunglasses, check. Lip gloss, check. Cell phone, check. Credit card, check.
Sand free outfit….
“Ouch!” I insistently began to rub my elbow. My ouch, I realize was accompanied by a very male grunt of pain. I look up from my elbow and am about to ask if the other person is okay when I realize that surprise, surprise the grunt belongs to Alex.
“We really should stop meeting like this” Alex says
“Maybe if you stop lurking around the hall we would!” I state coldly “Unless of course you want me to cause you some real damage”
“How about we play a game Isabel?” Alex asks, I narrow my eyes. Ready to tell him that I don’t play games with the likes of him when he carries on talking “How about every time we happen to meet, you don’t threaten me with some form of bodily harm? How does that sound?”
“Its sounds boring,” I say, the corner of my mouth twitches as I try not to smile. Alex is kinda amusing in a strange way.
