Chapter 9
The Back Door
The gang just stared at the planet for a few minutes. It was so beautiful. Serena tapped Max on the shoulder."There's
somthing I need to discuss with you." Serena took Max out of earshot of the others. " You can't just rush to Antar to
attack Kivar. He's been expecting your arrival, since Tess betrayed you. At this point he has the upperhand. Max was not
to thrilled. "What do you suggest?" he asked "Well, we must alter the ship, she explained "to be inconspicuous. And it's
evident that memory restoral will be needed and...." " Wait, " Max interupted " Memory what!?" Serena gave gave an
irritated sigh, she didnt have time for lengthy explainations. " Memory restoral. It is a backup plan in case you returned to
Antar, a bit prematurely.We hadn't plan on you going on a two year vacation." "So, how much memory of our past lives
are you planning on restoring? Max asked."Well," Serena began"Almost all of it, and some of my memories" Max was
puzzled."Why some of yours?" he asked. "Well, I saw things that you didn't. You and I remained good friends even after.
Alora's death." Max frowned "Alora?" he asked not knowing the name.Serena glanced in her direction "Liz. Anyways,
we remained good friends. When you appointed Rath as your second in command, I was appointed your advisor.Turns
out no one saw more than I did. No one knew you better than I did ......not even Rath. When they had to choose, whom
had enough memories to help you bring down Kivar. I was the one with the most, Because...I spied for you.
Max looked at Serena curiously, "If your one of us why do you look human?" Serena pulled a layer of skin from her
forearm.She didnt even flinch "Who do you think, came up with the idea for these husks? Unfortunatly the good idea got
into the wrong hands.As you now know." Max considered the memory restoral for a momment, then asked" Who needs
memory restoral?" "All five of you." she stated Max looked worried "Even Ava?" Serena thought for a momment.She
had not considered this. After all, Ava had betrayed them all.It was obvious from the look of pain in her eye ,when she
glanced several times at Max, that remebering could do more harm than good. "Uh, yeah maybe not her. No need to rub
salt in the wound." "So when do we start?" Asked Max "No time like the present." Max went to the others and explained to
them the "Back up plan. When Max finished explaining Serena put a hand on Ava's shoulder."I hope you understand why,
you are being left out." Ava nodded, She did understand. She was just starting to get over Zan, and even had her eyes set
on someone else.If she was going to finally fit in with this crowd, she was going to have to put the past, behind her. "Yeah,
I understand."
"First the ship," Serena stated Max and the other hybrids put their hands agaist the walls. With a little concentration,
they turned the bulky tan ship, to a sleek metallic ship. Serena grinned Watching them do that always impressed her. It was
only a matter of a few minutes til her best friends remembered her.Only a matter of minutes til Rath knew she was his sister
and she could take her place as the king's advisor again.Best of all she would have her best friend Alora back. Serena
had Max, Liz,Micheal and Isabel hold hands."The memories must be shared by all of you. You will needs each others
support. Not all the memories will be pleasent. Now close your eyes and clear your minds." Serena placed an index and
middle finger on each of Max's temples and closed her eyes.She felt her mind relax, and within it's depths she felt the
memories that were implanted years ago, release themselves.They felt like a buzz in her head as they floated about for
a momment.Then their energy drift to her arms and then to her fingertips.When a connection was made with Max, the
memories jolted in to Max's mind.

*Flash* Zan , Serena ,Vilandra, Alora, Larek playing *Flash*Alora and Zan in love *Flash* Zan and Alora's parent annoucing
the betroval*Flash*Alora sick*Flash*Alora's funeral Kivar is there and smirks when he thinks no one sees.Ava is there her
eyes fixed on Zan.*Flash* Zan's father's funeral *Flash* Zan's coronation *Flash* Zan meets up with Ava again*Flash*
Zan and Ava marry *Flash* a male voice to Ava "Make sure he stays here.Iwill take care of Zan once and for all."*Flash plans
on paper.Then the connection ended.Max opened his eyes. He was winded and speechless. So many emotions all at once.
It was hard to tell what he was feeling. Max looked at the others, grateful not to have had experienced the images alone.
Next was Liz. Liz trembled slightly it was weird watching Max's past life, and sad.*Flash* her parents *Flash* Zan and her
*Flash* love budding between her and Zan.*Flash* Her getting sick. The flashes stopped. Liz opened her eyes and looked at
Max. She remembered it all.
Next was Isabel. She looked over at Jesse.What would he think? Knowing she slept with the enemy, in another life?
What would Max think? Seeing her betrayal first hand? Would he hate her? She knew she was betrayed by Kivar in the
end., But Kivar had always been the enemy.Vilandra had been niave to think otherwize.Isabel bit her bottom lip.Serena
saw the fear in Isabel's eyes."Your memories, are ment to help you Isabel,"Serena responded"Not for you to be judged."
"Despite what you might think, Vilandra was a wonderful, but mislead Antarian." A tear trailed down Isabel's cheek.
Serena placed her fingers on Isabel's temples. *Flash* Vinandra and Zan growing up with their friends *Flash*The death
of their father *Flash* meeting kivar at her father's funeral. *Flash* Sneaking out to meet with Kivar *Flash* Someone
seeing and hearing Kivars's betrayal of Vilandra. " Some lives will have to be lost, in this war." Isabel felt herself clench
her fists.*Flash* Waiting for Kivar *Flash* Watching Zan die.And then, the connection stopped. Next was Micheal.
Serena looked at him with amusement.He just stood there, like he would as a child waiting for his unknown punishment, that
their father would give. Bringing Rath back home to their parents, is a dream come true. Ever since Rath's death their parents
never seemed happy anymore.They blamed his death, on their king, Zan. All serena cared about was having her brother back
and for good measure, she was going to include memories of nasty pranks, she pulled on him, just to razz him. Serena
chuckled out loud accidentally. Micheal frowned at her."What the hell is so funny?" he thought to himself. Serena touvhed his
temples. *Flash* Serena and him as children. *Flash* Serena always wanting to tag along with him and his friends. *Flash*
Rath training to be the king's protector. *Flash* Serena slipping slimeants in Rath's armor,before combat training.*Flash*
Meeting Vilandra *Flash* announcement of Vilandra and Rath's betroval *Flash* Being appointed second in comand
*Flash* Zan and Ava's wedding "I don't trust her your highness" Micheal heard his voice say "You will respect her!" Zan's
angry voice roared "she is your queen!" *Flash* watching Vilandra sneak off into the night with Kivar *Flash* watching
Vilandra and Zan die. The connection ended. Micheal just frowned at Serena at first."So how does a pesty little sister of mine end
up with such important job?" he said with a small smirk Serena gave Micheal a big grin.
Micheal went to Maria's side whom was staring at him , eager to get the lowdown on his memory retreival. "Maria? I
want you to meet my little sister." Maria smiled " I was beginning to wonder if space boy even had any family."
Max ans Liz stared at each other as if truly seeing each other for the first time.Max gently played with a lock of Liz's hair.
It was somthing he never got tired of, and then he bent his head down and kissed her hard.No words were spoken between
them.But if there had been they would have said "Welcome back my friend."
Isabel looked at Jesse timidly.And then, took his hands in hers and shared with him, what Serena had shared with her.
Isabel anxiously waited for his responce.Jesse beamed up at her "Damn Iz you were one hot alien!!" Isabel let a nervous
chuckled At least he didnt think less of her.
Kyle just stared at the group. That was by far the most intense emotions he ever experinced with this group since the day
of their departure from Roswell. It had left him winded.He hadnt notice that Ava had joined his side and now clung to his right
arm.When Kyle looked down at her she blushed."Um, I am um.....sorry."

Kyle grinned.He liked this Ava, she was nothing like Tess.The peircings gave her an interesting appeal.There were alot
of emotions coming from her at that momment. The one he liked the most, was the one she felt ,when she touched him
She was a tough woman, but she had a fragile side.No doubt from trying to stay on Lonnie's and Rath's good side.Kyle
was pretty sure, that had he had his power when Tess was around, he would have felt no emotion, come from her at all.
Ava's blue eyes seemed softer somehow, more inviting.
Serena sighed contently to herself. Everything was as it should be, now it was time to tackle the Kivar problem. Serena
needed to contact the queen, she would want to know of Zan's arrival. But how to contact her without Kivar picking up
the frequency.then she thought of the of the hybrids.Of course! "I need your help." she stated. Once again, Serena had
the gang holding hands. "Please her let her hear me."
Mayelena looked over at the two set of couples."Poor humans." They have been with her for over 2 weeks now.
Although she knew how to speak human "English", she was hesitant to speak.When they first came to Antar, they were
terrified.Always using the word "Alien." at first Mayelena found it insulting, after all, they were on her planet.Then she
sympothised. Listening in on their conversation, she concluded they had just learned, That Zan, Vilandra and Rath were
hybrids.Just recently she discovered one couple raised Zan, and Vilandra as their own children.What kind humans. Maybe
she should talk with them, introduce herself, maybe they wouldn't be so frightened. Mayelena squared her slender shoulders
and straightened her long neck wich was at least two to three inches longer, than that of a human's.It was quite normal
for an Antarian her age, to have such length in her neck. Her skin was peach in tone and shimmered like mother of pearl.
Her eyes was the only feature on her face, that wasn't human like. They had no pupils, and were black as coal. Mayelena's
hair, was cornsilk blonde.On Antar, she was considered quite the catch, but she never married again after Zan and Vilandra's
father passed away.
Mayelena slowly approached.They didn't show any signs of fear." Hello....my name is Mayelena. I am uh, (she hated to
say it!) Max and Isabel's Alien mother." Mr and Mrs Evans eyes went wide Then Mr Evans stood up and grasped Mayelena's
hand. Suddenly Mayelens flinched, someone was trying to in her mind. Diane and Philip watch curiously as the female Antarian
went into a trance for several momments. She then looked at them all. " They will be here very soon." "Who?" Philip asked
Mayelena smiled " Max, Isabel and the rest of them!"
When the connection was broken, Serena opened her eyes a staggered for a momment.It had taken the royal four and
Liz to make the connection. Mayelena was a very powerful Antarian, only the Elders had a stronger mind than hers. Serena
smiled at the gang. The queen is now expecting us.But the palase is being watched, so it looks like we're gonna have to take
the back door approach."

Chapter 10
sneaking up on the enemy
"O.k the plan is, we are going to have to take an old landing flat" Serena explained." It hasn't been used in decades, so Kivar
won't suspect a thing." Everyone was gathered around a small table.On the center of the table, was a blueprint to Antar's
head castle, and Max's former home.Just looking at the blueprint gave all the hybrids a distinct feeling of "De Ja Vue" like
a memory, you just cant put your finger on."Her royal highness is being held with your parents, in the guest quarters.We are
going to need to sneak in the back way.Kivar has motion detectors and cameras ,in every room and hallway.This wont be
easy."
Max was hearing Serena's words but he still couldn't believe it. There before his eyes was his home planet. His "other"
home. His people.He thought he'd never live to see this day, and yet, the day has come. Max glanced over at Isabel, she
too, had that look of uncertaintity in her eyes. What happens when he rids this planet of Kivar? will he have to stay? or
will he be able to go back to earth? Then Max thought of his mother. She had been waiting well over fifty years to see
Max and Isabel again. Max felt Liz entwine his fingers with hers."One day at a time Max." Max smiled down at her.
He always wondered how she did it. How she always managed to figure out how he is feeling.
Everybody watched in amazement as the ship slowly decended down into the planet. The landscape was breath taking.
The plant life though mostly green, had hint of neon.The sky a sandy color with beautiful puffy lavender clouds. Antar's
sun shined brightly in the sky but was obviously dying. It was not as bright as earth's sun.The ship landed softly. "Before
anyone can step out, you must be decompressed.The air is lighter here, but it won't take long for your lungs to adjust. Also,
i have prepared backpacks for you all. We will have to travel the rest of the way by foot, to get to the head castle."
When everyone was completely decompressed, they gathered their back packs and stepped out of the ship.Isabel gripped
Jesse's hand."Home sweet home." she was very nervous. What kind of reception were they going to get? would they be
welcomed with open arms? or would her mother shun her? would she even know that Vilandra didnt really betray her family?
sensing Isabel's unease he attempted to cheer her up. "Don't worry, i am sure they have some kind of malls around here."
Isabel smiled.This made Jesse feel much better.At that momment he was on the verge of freaking out! he was on another
planet! and he wasn't even an astronaunt! He couldn't believe how beautiful Antar was and sadly remembered he did not
bring a camera. Jesse looked at his wife and then his jaw dropped. A pale shimmering color was swirling around Isabel's
skin.Jesse looked at the others Max, Ava Micheal and Liz all had the same shimmering color swirling on their skins. Jesse
then stared back at Isabel. Her eyes were now black as coal, like that day during their honeymoon, when Kivar was going to
take her back to Antar.When Isabel caught Jesse staring at her, she noticed that he was visiably freaked out. "Jesse, what's
wrong?" Jesse grabbed Isabel's arm for her to see "Oh my god!" she gasped.She turned to look at the others. they too had
changed "Serena! what's happening to us?" Max and Liz just stared at each other. Maria did not move from Micheal's side.
" Just another day as spaceboy's fiance." Maria thought to herself. She had mentally prepared herself for somthing like this.
As long as he didnt grow razor sharp teeth, and try to chomp her head off, she could deal with a little skin and eye change.
Kyle just chuckled "Looks like we're not in Kansas anymore toto!" Ava chuckled at him. "Don't worry." Serena assured
Isabel " Your Antarian sides are adjusting to the atmosphere. Once we are back on earth, you will be back to your human
selves." With those words Serena pushed in the release button on her husk and it fell away like dust. Her clothes remained on
her as the dust from the husk drifted into the air.Everyone just stared at her. Serena's hair was now cornsilk blonde her eyes
black as coal. Her skin the same simmering color as the others. "Okay, well let's get going."
After traveling several hours in the woods, they finally came up to a clearing. Serena motioned for every one to get down.
Isabel crinkled her nose in digust.The moist earth had a funny smell. She was glad she put on a pair of sneakers and dressed in
her old camping gear, for the journey.When everyone hunched down. Two antarians could be seen gaurding the back door to
the head castle."Psst! Ava!" Serena whispered "We need a mindwarp!" Ava nodded and concentraded on the two beings.
When they finally took off running, the gang ran out to the clearing. Serena came to a sudden halt only a few feet away from the
door. "Damn!" she hissed "What? What is it?" Max asked. Serena frowned "They have the entrance sourronded by T.A.Gs"
when she noticed the nickname did not register, she explained. " Trithium Amplification Generators." Max remember those
from the time Brody/Larek held all of them captive. Max wondered if he would see his old friend.Larek will be glad to finally
see "His sister! Alora is Larek's younger sister!" Max thought to himself. When Max's thoughts came back to the present, he
found everyone staring at him with expectation.

Chapter 10 (pt2)
sneaking up on the enemy
Had he missed somthing? From the looks of things he indeed had. "What?" he asked. Micheal rolled his eyes. "what should
we do?" Max was confused and feeling a tad stupid."Huh?" Serena snapped " There are T.A.G.s all around the building!
should we send Jesse and Maria? They don't have any powers to deactivate." "No." Max replied" We need to find a way
to knock out both the T.A.G.s and the cameras.Maria and Jesse would be sitting ducks." Maria suddenly got an idea "Maybe
you can use your powers from out here! knock out the lights, and Jesse and I will remove the T.A.G.s from the hallways."
"Now that sounds like an idea." Max agreed. Jesse and Maria opened the door wide enough for Max and the others to
see. Max, Micheal Isabel Ava and Serena all stood a few yards away. All with their right hands raised. In one swift burst of
energy all the light in the hallway were shattered. Amazingly enough to Jesse and Maria's surprize so were the cameras.
Maria beamed at Jesse "Bonus!" When they found all the Trithium Amphfilication Generators in the hallway, Maria signaled
that it was safe.Everyone else entered the building. Micheal was looking around with a frown. "Hey this looks more like an
office building, than a castle." Maria flashed an evil look and nudged Micheal with her elbow. "Ouch! hey!" Serena stopped

get out." Everyone nodded in agreement "Ok then, let's do this!" Maria exclaimed Jesse looked at her and nodded. The door
was opened and Maria and Jessse Charged in.

sneaking up on the enemy
Had he missed somthing? From the looks of things he indeed had. "What?" he asked. Micheal rolled his eyes. "what should
we do?" Max was confused and feeling a tad stupid."Huh?" Serena snapped " There are T.A.G.s all around the building!
should we send Jesse and Maria? They don't have any powers to deactivate." "No." Max replied" We need to find a way
to knock out both the T.A.G.s and the cameras.Maria and Jesse would be sitting ducks." Maria suddenly got an idea "Maybe
you can use your powers from out here! knock out the lights, and Jesse and I will remove the T.A.G.s from the hallways."
"Now that sounds like an idea." Max agreed. Jesse and Maria opened the door wide enough for Max and the others to
see. Max, Micheal Isabel Ava and Serena all stood a few yards away. All with their right hands raised. In one swift burst of
energy all the light in the hallway were shattered. Amazingly enough to Jesse and Maria's surprize so were the cameras.
Maria beamed at Jesse "Bonus!" When they found all the Trithium Amphfilication Generators in the hallway, Maria signaled
that it was safe.Everyone else entered the building. Micheal was looking around with a frown. "Hey this looks more like an
office building, than a castle." Maria flashed an evil look and nudged Micheal with her elbow. "Ouch! hey!" Serena stopped

Family Reunion
Immediately, Maria and Jesse took out the trithium amphlification generators. They are completely unaware of the audience they had. The queen, stood there watching the humans zig and zag about in the large room. Where did they come from? Who are they? She intended to find out. With a quick wave of her hand, Mayelena froze Maria and Jesse in place. “Excuse me but,” she asked obviously curious.” Who are you? And in the name of Antar, are you doing?” “Holy cow!” Maria thought to herself. “Even Michael in his jealous fit, didn’t have this strong of power.”
Suddenly, the rest of the gang, rushed into the room. Isabel, Max, Ava and Michael standing up front. “Let our friends go!” Max exclaimed Mayelena stared at the young human. Could it be? Had he finally return home? Mayelena felt her heart leap, at the thought. “Zan? Is that you?” she asked. Max did not relax his guard. His eyes remain hard and fierce. “ I said let them go.” Not caring much for the humans anymore, Mayelena released Maria and Jesse, from the suspension. She stared at the
young woman, standing to Zan. “Vilandra , is that you?” Isabel turned to Max and looked at him uncertain. Isabel frowned at the alien. “Who are you?” Mayelena smiled. It was they! Her children finally came home! Tears of joy began to well in her eyes. “I am Mayelena, Queen of Antar.” Max
and Isabel were shocked. They couldn’t believe it! Their mother! They were finally laying eyes, on their Antarian mother! Isabel burst into tears and rushed into Mayelena’s arms. “You don’t know how much, I longed for this day.” When Mayelena finished embracing Isabel, she saw her son, standing behind her daughter. “Zan, you reminded me of your father just then.” Max gave Mayelena a tight hug. “Mother, this is my husband Jesse.” Isabel said between sniffles Jesse grasped Mayelena’s hand. “Pleased to meet you.” He said. Max brought Liz forward “Mother, this is my wife, Liz.” Mayelena beamed when she saw Liz “Alora! So good to” her voice trailed off when, she saw Liz’s pregnant belly. Suddenly, a loud bang, echoed throughout the room. Everyone suddenly held their stomachs and groaned. Liz was on the floor unconscious. Mayelena rushed to Liz’s side. “You got her pregnant?” she asked in astonishment.
Max felt like he was being reprimanded. He and Liz have been married two years; there was nothing wrong, with starting a family now. Except, neither of them thought, that Liz, could become pregnant by Max. Mayelena hovered her hand over Liz, and frowns. “She’s unconscious.” Mayelena
Stated. “ Have you learned nothing from.” Mayelena stopped abruptly when she laid eyes on Ava. “You brought the enemy here?” Ava cringed “No!” Maria interrupted. “She is not the enemy, she helped Liz save Max from their duplicates. Ava has been helping us, and is good friends with Liz.”
Mayelena looked at Ava suspiciously. “Why?” Ava stuck her chin up defiantly. She would not let the queen intimidate her. “Because I am not the former queen of Antar. I am Ava earthling wanna be. Liz is my friend. She was a good friend, when no one else would be. She will always have my loyalty.” The queen gave Ava a look of distaste. “We shall see, where your loyalties lye.” “Mother, she is not Tess.” Max explained “Ugh! That horrible creature!” The queen exclaimed “ She only came here, to give your baby to Kivar! She was as deceiving as the former queen herself.” She looked around searching for the little infant. “ Where is that son of yours?” Mayelena watched as pain washed Max’s face, then quickly disappear. Max cleared his throat, trying to will away the lump that suddenly formed there. “ I had him adopted by human parents. He’s completely human and deserves to live a human life. He would not have been safe with me.” “I see.” She replied. “We need to get Liz out of here, its not safe for her. If Kivar gets wind of her and he condition, he’ll have all of Antars soldiers looking for her.” “Wait!” Micheal exclaimed finally coming forward. “What about the other humans?” Max’s eyes went wide with shock. He had completely forgotten about them. “Rath?” Mayelena asked. Michael gave a quick smile. Max scooped up Liz. “Can you take us to our human parents?” Max asked hoping they were unharmed. Mayelena nodded, and led the way. There was a door within the room and when Mayelena opened it everyone rushed in. The parkers and the Evan’s gathered close together when they heard, the commotion, behind the door. “Mom? Dad?” When Diane heard the voice it was like music to her ears. “Max? Is that you?” when saw it was she gave a sigh of relief. “Oh thank god! What is going on? Why have we been brought here?”
When Isabel and Max were busy explaining why their parents were on Antar, Mayelena approached Michael and Maria. “ Rath, it is good to have you here again. Ever since Tess’s visit, your parents have been eagerly awaiting your return.” Michael looked down at Maria. “Are you ready to see them?” She asked. Had this question been asked, four years ago, He would have said yes immediately. But now, he’s hesitating. He accepted that fact he would never, have his own family, till he made one. This day was a long time coming. If he wasn’t ready now, he might not get the get chance again, when he did feel ready. Maria entwined her fingers with Michael’s. “ I will be there if you need me.” Michael gave her hand an appreciating squeeze. “Sure, why not, I mean, when else, will you get to meet the parents?” Maria beamed up at him and hugged his arm tightly.
He said at the camera board watching. The more he watched, the more foul his mood got. “So Zan has returned to Antar.” He thought to himself. “He’s got another thing coming, if he thinks he can rule this planet again.” He ran a hand through his jet, black hair. Hatred glittering in his black almond, shape eyes. Antar was his to rule now, and he wasn’t about to let this wanna be king, take that from him. He felt himself practically growl when he noticed Vilandra with her human husband.
What on Antar did that human have that he didn’t? “He doesn’t even have any powers1” He complained out loud. “Sir?” the soldier next to him asked. “Never mind!” he snapped. “Shall we send in some troops?” the soldier asked timidly, not wanting to anger him further. “No,” The dark, haired alien sighed “Let them have their family reunion for now. But gather your troops up anyway, it only a matter of time.” “Yes sir, Kivar sir!” the soldier replied obediently.

Chapter 12
Meet the Parents
“Lizzy!” Jeff cried. The fear in his eyes was unmistakable. Jeff rushed up to Max whom was holding Liz’s lifeless body in his arms. “What have you done?” his eyes giving Max an accusing look. “ Jeff Parker your daughter is still alive. Mayelena explained. “ She is pregnant and her body is desperately trying to adjust.” Jeff glared at Max again.
“What are trying to do? Kill her before I can see her again?” Mayelena was getting impatient with this human male. “Look here its not all Max’s fault! It takes two, to make an offspring!” She snapped taking care to use Zan’s human name. “That’s right!” Philip piped in. “This is not the first time, Max got a girl pregnant without thinking of the consequences Philip!” Nancy reminded him. Mrs. Evan gasped “ Nancy, what are trying to get at? That this is all Max’s fault?” “Well Diane,” Nancy replied folding her arms. “If the shoe fits” Diane’s jaw dropped. She couldn’t believe her friend was making such an accusation. “Nancy is right.” Jeff agreed, “ Max should have known better! Taking such a risk! He’s alien or part alien, but our Lizzy is completely human!”
“Not quite.” Mayelena interrupted. All eyes were on her now. “What do you mean not quite? I gave birth to her,” Nancy stated “I think I would know!” “ I cannot explain right now, we need to leave this place! Kivar will be sending soldiers anytime now. He must have seen the children by now.”
Michael went to Max’s side, “Any ideas?” Max sighs, “Lets just hope that my mother, has a secret getaway.”
Isabel joins them with Jesse. “I can’t believe they actually fighting.” Jesse says as he shakes his head. Isabel rolls her eyes, and crosses her arms. “ And I though Max and Michael were bad.” Michael flashes Isabel a dirty look. Kyle is chuckling as he joins them. “ I guess it runs in the family.”
Mayelena suddenly realized, it had gotten quiet in the room, other than her argument. When all five parents grew silent, they realized they were being watched with disapproval. “Are you finished?” Max asked. “What’s done is done. What we need now is a hideout. Some place we can come up with a plan, without interruptions.”
Mayelena thought for a moment. “ Yes, I believe we have such a place.” Michael nudges Max, “I will meet up with you later, I am sure my parents know of the place.” Max raised his eyebrows. “Your parents?” Michael nodded “Yeah, I think they should meet my future wife, and their long lost son.” Mayelena smiled over at Michael. “I will tell them how to get there. They will be happy to see you again.” Maria went up to Max. “Take care of her Max. Whatever you do, don’t let that woman have the baby before we get back.” Max smirked. “I won’t.” After getting a few directions from Mayelena, to the nearest travel launch site, Maria and Michael carefully snuck out the building.
“Well, we best be going. The cottage is quite a ways away. We will be traveling by Kaynar.” Mayelena explained. Diane frowned “ Kaynar? What kind of Machine is that?” “It isn’t.” Mayelena replied, “It’s an animal.” “Oh.” “Animal?” Nancy asked uneasily. “If it’s anything like a horse, I don’t do horses.” Mayelena chuckled “Oh no. More like a cross of Earth’s wooly mammoth and a giraffe.” “What?” Nancy squeaked. “Oh don’t worry.” Mayelena said with a quick wave of her hand. “You get used to the smell.” Nancy crinkled her nose. “Isn’t there another way?” Mayelena shook her head. “The terrain is much to rough for land craft. Besides it is the Kaynars homelands. They are well suited for the area.” “Oh cmon Nancy. It can’t be any worse than, when Jeff and Philip came home from fishing that day. Remember? We couldn’t get that fish smell out of those clothes for weeks.” Nancy chuckled nervously. It wasn’t the smell Nancy was worried about. Large animals scared the snot out of her.
After carefully following Mayelena directions, and lots of ducking and dodging. Michael and Maria arrived at the travel pad. They were greeted by a short dark haired antarian. “Hi there!” he greeted them “You must be Rath and Maria.” Maria and Michael looked at each other for a moment. Michael extended his hand, but the anatrian just looked at it confused. My name is Talen, Mayelena told me I was to be expecting you. Is it true you are from earth?” Maria nodded “Well, I am human, spaceboy here is only half.” “Oh?” the antarian replied, “What’s the other half?” Michael rolled his eyes. “Anyways, we need to get to Tileena Island?” The antarian nodded. “Yep,Mayelena said that was your destination. Come with me.” The antarian led them to a giant cage. Inside the cage, were two enormous birdlike creatures. Standing at fifteen feet tall, the creatures were twenty-two feet long, from head, to tail. Their skin was pale white and leathery. Their wings, was like that of a bat’s with an amazing thirty foot wingspan. On it’s three foot almond head, was a tuff of white hair and two large round silver eyes. Their necks were long and thin, followed by a long sleek body, and a long skinny tail. Maria took a few stepped back “Oh, how cute, are these your pets?” the antarian shook his head. “Nope, these wonderful creatures are your ride, to Tileena Island.” Maria’s face went pale, and then she faked a chuckle “Your kidding right?” Talen shook his head. Maria gave Michael a panic stricken look. But Michael didn’t seem to be bothered by the idea at all. Maria smiled prettily “Can you excuse us for a moment?” she asked politely. Talen nodded and left them for a few moments. “No way! I am not going on one of those things!”
Cmon Maria!” Michael complained, “It’s the only way!” “Are you kidding me? Look at those things! How do you know, they wont take a nip at us?” Maria crinkled up her nose “Not to mention, they smell horrible! Ew!”
Michael sighed loudly “Maria the Island is in the middle of the ocean!” She pouted, “Couldn’t we take a boat?”
“ I wouldn’t suggest that. It would take you a full day by boat, and you don’t want to be out there on a boat at night. That’s when the leathers come out to feed.” “What’s a leether?” Michael asked. “It’s a poisonous eel.” Talen explained, “That comes out at night to feed. These eels swarm the ocean surface in search for food. They have even known to leap out of the water, and attack travelers in boats.” “Great.” Maria mumbled Michael smirked at Talen “ We’ll take them!” Talen smirked back knowingly. A few minutes later they were harnessed to the creatures and ready to go. “What if they get lost.” Maria complained Talen chuckled. He could tell this human really did not like the idea of traveling this way. “Skytes are born, raised, and trained on Tileena Island, they never forget where home is. They always return, to mate and raise their young.”

After carefully following Mayelena directions, and lots of ducking and dodging. Michael and Maria arrived at the travel pad. They were greeted by a short dark haired antarian. “Hi there!” he greeted them “You must be Rath and Maria.” Maria and Michael looked at each other for a moment. Michael extended his hand, but the anatrian just looked at it confused. My name is Talen, Mayelena told me I was to be expecting you. Is it true you are from earth?” Maria nodded “Well, I am human, spaceboy here is only half.” “Oh?” the antarian replied, “What’s the other half?” Michael rolled his eyes. “Anyways, we need to get to Tileena Island?” The antarian nodded. “Yep,Mayelena said that was your destination. Come with me.” The antarian led them to a giant cage. Inside the cage, were two enormous birdlike creatures. Standing at fifteen feet tall, the creatures were twenty-two feet long, from head, to tail. Their skin was pale white and leathery. Their wings, was like that of a bat’s with an amazing thirty foot wingspan. On it’s three foot almond head, was a tuff of white hair and two large round silver eyes. Their necks were long and thin, followed by a long sleek body, and a long skinny tail. Maria took a few stepped back “Oh, how cute, are these your pets?” the antarian shook his head. “Nope, these wonderful creatures are your ride, to Tileena Island.” Maria’s face went pale, and then she faked a chuckle “Your kidding right?” Talen shook his head. Maria gave Michael a panic stricken look. But Michael didn’t seem to be bothered by the idea at all. Maria smiled prettily “Can you excuse us for a moment?” she asked politely. Talen nodded and left them for a few moments. “No way! I am not going on one of those things!”
Cmon Maria!” Michael complained, “It’s the only way!” “Are you kidding me? Look at those things! How do you know, they wont take a nip at us?” Maria crinkled up her nose “Not to mention, they smell horrible! Ew!”
Michael sighed loudly “Maria the Island is in the middle of the ocean!” She pouted, “Couldn’t we take a boat?”
“ I wouldn’t suggest that. It would take you a full day by boat, and you don’t want to be out there on a boat at night. That’s when the leathers come out to feed.” “What’s a leether?” Michael asked. “It’s a poisonous eel.” Talen explained, “That comes out at night to feed. These eels swarm the ocean surface in search for food. They have even known to leap out of the water, and attack travelers in boats.” “Great.” Maria mumbled Michael smirked at Talen “ We’ll take them!” Talen smirked back knowingly. A few minutes later they were harnessed to the creatures and ready to go. “What if they get lost.” Maria complained Talen chuckled. He could tell this human really did not like the idea of traveling this way. “Skytes are born, raised, and trained on Tileena Island, they never forget where home is. They always return, to mate and raise their young.”

Meet the parents
The look of panic still hadn’t disappeared from Maria’s face. Talen put a head set on Both Michael and Maria. “These are so you can communicate while the Skytes are flying.” Maria rolled her eyes “Oh, how reassuring.” She replied dryly “HA!” Talen exclaimed. The Skytes began to run. “ Oh my gawd I’m going to die! I’m going to die!” Maria squeezed her eyes shut; when she felt the Skyte, take off into he air.
After a four-hour trip Michael and Maria finally arrived at Tileena Island. The Island was home to many families. One family was responsible for the upkeep of the landing flats. Michael and Maria found the man of that family, waiting for them, at the landing flat. After the antarian helped them with their harnesses, he introduced himself. “My name is Tayelar.” A young female joined Tayelar’s side.
“ This is my daughter, Lineah.” She smiled, and then suddenly her eyes were transfixed on Michael.
“Father do you know who that is?” Tayelar studied Michael for a moment. “Looks like a human to me.” Lineah gave a loud annoyed sigh. “Father, that’s Rath!” Tayelar frowned at Michael “Still looks like an ordinary human to me.” “The queen contacted Sayelan first thing this morning.” Lineah responded. Tayelar stared Michael down one last time. “Rath is that really you?” Michael beamed, and the nodded. “ This is my wife to be, Maria.” Tayelar nodded in her direction. As Lineah lead the Skytes to the fields, Maria noticed Lineah shooting her dirty looks. “What’s all that about?” Maria thought to herself. Tayelar clapped Michael on the back. “You must be anxious to introduce your bride to be, to your parents. Follow this dirt path, to its end. There you will find your parents home.” Taking

As they came to cottage’s front door, it burst opened. “Veedor! Come quick Rath has come home!”
Rath’s father comes around the corner with a Kaynar on a leash. “Oh come in! You must be exhausted from your long trip.” They all gathered in a cozy room, sitting on what Maria considered, the most comfortable couch she’s even been on. The female antarian that greeted them at the door, served them a cup of something spicy and creamy. The moment Maria took a sip; she felt her aches begin to ease.
When the female saw Maria relax, she smiled “ It’s a blend of roots and herbs, mixed with Kaynar milk.” Maria crinkled her nose. “Ew!” she thought to herself. She hoped they weren’t like the Skytes.
“So, Ra….I mean, Michael. Veedor began, taking a cup of the tea, and then sitting down. “You must have a lot of questions.” “Yes,” Michael replied between sips of the soothing tea. Michael was thoroughly enjoying its rejuvenating effects. “Well, you, Zan, Vilandra, Alora, Serena and Larek grew up together. The moment Vilandra was born, Her father chose you to be her betrothed. Many family members brought honor to our family. The king was nothing short of proud, to have you as his daughter’ betrothed. As you grew older, all you wanted to do was train to be in the royal army. It was during your training you met the soon to be king, Zan. You guys became the best of friends. When Zan’s father passed away, naturally Zan appointed you his second in command.” “What about Vilandra?” Maria asked wanting to get straight to it. Veedor sighed loudly “Sadly enough. Rath and Vilandra were not in love with each other. Later Vilandra fell in love with a rebel and betrayed everyone. You, Her, Zan and his new wife, perished.” “But Vilandra didn’t betray anyone.” Maria argued. “Kivar betrayed Vilandra! She thought Kivar was going to have a peace talk with Zan, but instead he had his followers invaded the castle and killed everyone.” Veedor shook his head, “Is that what Vilandra told you?” “No!” Michael replied, “ It’s true father, Vilandra did not betray anyone. I know because I remember parts of that day, before I died.” As if seeing her for the first time, Veedor looked at Maria strangely. “Rath who is this?” Michael squared his shoulders. “This is my fiancé Maria.” Maria gave them a big toothy grin. “Huh?” Sayelan asked, not understanding. “My bride-to-be.” Veedor frowned “Your marrying a human?” Sayelan gasped in horror and jabbed Veedor with her elbow. “Welcome to the family, Maria.” Don’t mind my husband, we haven’t spent much time, around humans.” “Anyways,” Veedor continued rubbing the spot Sayelan just jabbed. “A few months after your death, Queen Mayelena’s top scientists found a way to clone you. Everyone thought it was best, that you were sent to Earth. It was far, but civilized. Humans are closest to us genetically, than any other species of life form, which we have come across. So we all agreed, and so you were cloned and mix with human DNA and sent to Earth. We knew you wouldn’t be totally helpless, because the mixing of DNA still allowed you to have your powers.” Michael looked down at his hands.” You know it’s funny, I never did get the hang of mine.” “Really?” Sayelan asked? “Maybe you can now, seeing that you are on your home planet.” Michael shrugged. “Its worth a shot.” He raised his hand up, Sayelan got up suddenly. “Uh, Rath not in the house dear.” “Oh right” Michael blushed slightly. As Michael and Veedor headed outside, Maria went to Sayelan’s side “Do you have pictures of Rath? “ Sayelan smiled “Of course!” She left Maria alone for a moment, and then came back with a photograph. When Maria saw the picture, her breath got caught in her throat. He was so handsome. Shiney jet-black hair, same strong build. Perfect teeth smile. “Wow,” Maria breathed, “He must have been popular with the ladies.” Sayelan grinned “Yes, he was, but he never got serious with anyone. He stayed loyal, to his betrothal to Vilandra. Although Lineah tried to sway him a few times.” Maria cocked an eyebrow. “Lineah as in Tayelar’s daughter?” Sayelan nodded “I see,” Maria said “That’ll explain the dirty looks I got.” Sayelan chuckled “ That one, has got a lot to learn.”
A loud bang came outside, startling both Sayelan and Maria. A proud Michael wearing a big grin came rushing through the door. “Maria! You have got to see what I can do!”

How to take on an enemy
Max looked down at Liz, as he road on his Kaynar. She seemed at peace, all her features completely relaxed. Max placed a hand, on top of where their baby grew. The baby responded back by sending happy feelings back. then a feeling of question. She too was aware of her mother’s unconsciousness. Max sent the baby a message of reassurance and calm, that her mother would be ok.
Mayelena came up behind Max on her Kaynar. “It’s a girl isn’t it?” Max nodded “ I remember a time when your father would communicate with you, then Vilandra that way.” Max smiled and sat quietly as he and Mayelena’s Kaynar walked side by side. “So she was my childhood friend huh?”
Mayelena gazed and Liz’s unmoving form. “Yes, you were the best of friends. I think your friendship had even blossomed to love just before the sickness, started ailing her body.” Max looked down sadly at Liz’s body. “Don’t worry,” Mayelena assured him. “She will make it through. This is how antarians respond to pregnancy as well.” Max looked up at his mother hopefully. Mayelena looked back at Ava and frowned. “Why did you bring her?” Max looked down at Liz confused. Mayelena tilt her head in Ava’s direction. Max sighed “She’s good friends with Liz, and proven her trust, when my life was on the line.” “She’s related to Kivar, she betrayed you.” Mayelena replied with a serious tone. “But she’s not queen Ava. None of us are the same as we used to be. Isn’t that why you chose to bring us back, and have us born on earth mother? So we could live a life unspoiled? And then return to rule with all that we’ve learned?” Mayelena nodded.
Ava stared up at the starry sky, as she leaned against the Kaynar’s long neck. She was home, and judging from the look Mayelena’s look earlier she wouldn’t be getting a warm welcome. But still the same she was home. Antar was exactly how she thought it would look like. As she looked up she could see Antar’s sister planets, two to the left and two to the right. Kyle came up to Ava’s right side and then stared up at the sky. “Do you remember the names of those planets?” Ava pointed up at the planets. ‘To your left, is Arious and Kaylos. To your right Madune and Borthus. “Do the people on those planets, look like Antarians?” Kyle asked. Ava frowned, “I don’t know.” “ Must be hard, I mean knowing that you were a traitor in your other life.” Ava sighed loudly. “Yeah, I’m not exactly going to get a warm homecoming. It is okay though. I’m doing good now.” Kyle nodded and smiled. “When I first saw you you reminded me of Tess.” Ava studied Kyle’s face his features changed when he brought up her dupe’s name. “Were you close to her?” Kyle blushed “Well, we came close to um, getting involved, but Liz needed a favor and well, that ended that opportunity.” Ava felt her starting to grin but stopped herself. At least she knew he found her physically attractive.
“Anyways, our relationship ended up being one like brother and sister.” Ava’s heart sank. “ But you seem nothing like Tess.” Kyle rectified. Ava smiled. That was a good thing.
“So what do you think of Antar?” Isabel asked Jesse. He looked around. “It’s amazing! I always wonder what other planets would look like, when I was a little boy. I am really lucky to have this opportunity.” Isabel turned and looked behind at him. “So, this on another planet, and my wife’s skin is all changing isn’t freaking you out?” Jesse met her eyes “ Well, yeah sort of,” he replied reluctantly “But I accepted you and the alien stuff. I knew if I wanted to remain married to you, it would mean that life would get weird once in a while.” Isabel smiled appreciatively. “Besides,” Jesse said finishing up, “There’s more to come, I still got to face that exlover of yours. Now that is going to be totally weird! I am really hoping he’s this little green man with antennas!” Isabel chuckled loudly and kissed Jesse.
The rest of the Kaynars came to a halt when Mayelena’s Kaynar stopped. The cottage was hardly the size everyone was thinking of. The cottage was three stories high, and well guarded. Everyone dismounted their Kaynars and headed towards the cottage. “Zan?” Max, was a few steps behind Mayelena. “Yes mother?” Mayelena smiled it was good to hear him call her that again. She was sure he was barely aware of the fact, that in his other life, that was what he called her as well. “Your old bedroom is on the top floor I will have the servants attend to her. Plus I already have a healer waiting and ready to receive her.” Max nodded “Thank you.”
Diane watched and listened from afar. It bothered her how Max had called her mother. Although Max, had always just called her “Mom”, Wich sounded more loving than “mother”, Diane was not happy, about meeting her adopted children’s biological mother. What kind of parent leave her children stranded on a strange planet to fend for themselves? They may have had protectors, but they had left them to fend for themselves. “What kinds of parents do that?” Diane thought, angrily to herself. Diane looked back at Jeff and Nancy. They were looking around like to scared children. Diane couldn’t blame them. They were on another planet! Jeff and Nancy were in the same boat, as she and Phillip were when Tess, arrived at their home with Max’s son. Of course it didn’t help, to see your children’s skin, change before your very eyes. Nancy may be angry at Max and her and Phillip now, but come a few more days, she and Phillip will be the only people whom would know how they are feeling.
The guards let them pass and they entered the cottage.

Chapter 13 pt2
How to take on an enemy
Max laid Liz’s still unconscious body down on the large fluffy bed. The healer was a long necked alien, with copper colored hair. Both Max and the antarian tucked Liz in. “You mustn’t worry so, your highness. Your wife will be fine. This is normal.” Max’s worry did not lessen “So I have been told many times, but this is not normal for a human.” He explained. “I know,” The antarian replied “But her body will adjust, and she’ll be conscious again before you know it. This is a very critical time for her and the baby. They are making very strong emotional ties to each other. Plus your wife’s unconscious mind is sharing information with the baby, preparing her for life if you will.” Max stared down at Liz perplexed. The antarian smiled gently at Max. “Go on, I will take good care of her. After all, she is my daughter.” Max stood there completely surprised. “You?” the antarian nodded. “There will be time for introductions later, right now you must join the others downstairs.” Max nodded and headed down to the first floor. As, he went down the metal spiral stairs; he hesitated for a moment and glanced up from which he just came. He couldn’t believe it! And then, he cringed. Nancy Parker was not going to like this one bit. He couldn’t wait to hear the story of Liz’s creation. He was curious how they were able have Liz born from a human, and not from a pod.
When Max entered the dining room, everyone had gathered into a circle. “Shouldn’t we wait for Michael and Maria?” Isabel and the others mumbled their agreement. Nancy Parker could no longer hold her silence. “Yeah so while we’re waiting, you can explain to me how a baby I gave birth to, could possibly be an alien!” Nancy was angry. There was just no way her baby was half alien. Mayelena gave a big sigh. “As you know,” She began “At one point there were abductions. We took humans, and studied their organ systems. Their brain capacities, their tolerances to earth’s changing seasons.” Diane and Phillip sat down in chairs closest to Mayelena. This was a close to a birth story, as they were going get, for their children. “We studied human DNA closely. Mixing our DNA with human DNA was more of a challenge than we thought. Our DNA just wasn’t compatable with yours. So we used a lifeform from our planet called the Gandarium. This life form helped bridge the gaps between our DNA and yours and finally allowing the formation of an human and antarian hybrid. Once developed into a embryo, we placed the hybrids into incubation pods. The incubation period, for the hybrids was purposely set, so that when the hybrids hatched, most of the enemies would have given up their search for the royal four. In Alora’s case….er Liz’s rather than place her in an incubation pod and guarded by a protector, she was impregnated into a human womb. Thanks to humans ever growing knowledge and reproduction restoral technology.”
Jeff and Nancy looked at each other confused. Reproduction restoral? Nancy face suddenly turned ash white. Lost time! She couldn’t believe it! She remember it all! She was on the way home from the reproduction clinic a few towns over. It had been early in the evening, when she was heading home. Somewhere, in the middle of that lonely stretch of road, the electrical gadgets in the car went on a frits, and the car stalled. a bright light flash above the car and the next thing Nancy knew, she had passed out. She woke early the next morning, her head resting on the steering wheel. Two weeks later Nancy found out she was pregnant. The strange incident had been completely forgotten. Nancy’s eyes began to tear up. “You mean Lizzie is not ours?” she asked not really wanting to know the answer. “Oh, she is defiantly yours.” Mayelena assured them. “During one of your abductions we had a few of your eggs removed.” Nancy’s eyes went wide she turned and looked at Jeff with panic “You say abductions? As in more than one?” He asked. “Yes.” Mayelena replied. Abductions were a touchy topic, Especially when you trying to form an alliance, with nervous humans. No one ever really likes knowing that they were taken, and then their memories of the incident wiped away. Mayelena grasped her hands nervously. “ I am truly sorry, I know this must be hard for you, to hear, but it was the only way we could have antarians, live on earth. Nancy looked at Diane “Did you know all this about Lizzie?” Diane and Phillip shook their heads. “No,” Phillip replied “We found out about Max and Isabel the night before they left. The same time Tess shown up at our house with baby Zan.”
Mayelena’s eyes went wide when she heard the name of her grandson. “ At some point Phillip, you and I will have a discussion, about baby Zan’s whereabouts.” Phillip and Diane looked at each other uncertainly.

Maria stared at Michael waiting. Michael grabbed Maria’s hand and rushed outside. “ Ow! Hey!” she complained as he pulled her outside. “Look!” Michael said proudly puffing out his chest in pride. Maria glanced at the dust pile. “What was it?” she asked. Michael grinned “A boulder!” Maria crossed her arms and cocked an eyebrow “A boulder?” Michael nodded still grinning. Maria padded him on the shoulder “Way to go spaceboy! Now, you know how to blast big rocks!” Michael flashed her a dirty look. “Yeah well, you gotta start somewhere.” Maria chuckled and kissed him on the cheek. “ That is true.”
Veedor glanced up at the sky. “It’s time you guys head back. You’ll have to leave soon, if you intend to make it to the cottage before sundown.” Michael glanced up at the sky sadly. “Yeah, I guess your right.” They followed Veedor back into the house.
A few minutes later Michael and Maria were at the door with their things. “We’ll stop by again before we have to head back to earth.” Sayelan looked sad. “You mean you not here to stay for good?”
Michael looked down at the ground. “I don’t know….right now we have Kivar to deal with. I really haven’t planned for anything after that point.” Sayelan nodded understanding. “ Well’ do come back and visit soon.” After both Veedor and Sayelan hugged them both, they said their goodbyes and headed back to the landing pad. Maria sighed, knowing where Michael heart was. “We could do two weddings.” Michael smiled at her. Maria looked forlornly at the Skytes prepared for them. “Why couldn’t they have airplanes like on Earth?” she thought nervously to her self.
As if on cue, Michael and Maria arrived at the Royal cottage. Maria was complaining about riding another strange animal, when she was silenced by serious look, on everyone’s face in the room. She looked around the room curiously, “What did I miss?” Max joined Maria and Michael’s side as they sat down. “ Liz’s antarian mother is here.” Max whispered Maria eyes went wide. “What!” she whispered loudly. “She’s here? Does Nancy know?” Max shook his head “No, I don’t think so.” Maria cringed. When Nancy did find out it was not going to be pretty.
“Zan….er Max, have you any ideas how we dethrone Kivar?” Mayelena asked hope shining in her eyes. Max stood up. He did have an idea, and Isabel will probably not like it, at all. Max looked and Isabel. Isabel looked back. Instantly recognition flashed in her eyes. She already knew without him having to say a word. Isabel stood up. She looked around the room nervously, knowing that everyone would be hanging on her every word. They were waiting eagerly for and answer, not knowing the unspoken conversation between the two siblings. Max’s eyes pleaded with Isabel to back him up. It was not an easy thing to ask of her, especially since Kivar crashed her honeymoon. In Isabel’s heart she was dying to live a normal life. She was tired of Kivar’s memories haunting her. Isabel wanted to put an end to Kivar’s reign, and her disgraceful past. Isabel looked back into Max’s eyes , squared her shoulders and nodded. Max looked at her mother, a look of confidence, crossed his face. “ Yes,” he looked at Isabel “We do.”

The black sheep
Everyone was looking at Max and Isabel. “We are going to pretend, that things haven’t changed.” Michael frowned “What do you mean that things haven’t changed?” Isabel shifted uncomfortably and glanced over at Jesse “It means I pretend I’m still in love with Kivar.” Max looks at Michael “And I pretend I am still the same ole Zan.” Ava looks at Max confused. Does that mean she has to play faithful wife slash betrayer as well? She was just getting to know Kyle better. Ava didn’t want to things to “Get cold” between them. Ava stood up. “Um, Max?” Max felt a pang of guilt when he heard Ava say his name. Max slowly turned in her direction. “Ava, I need you to..” his voice trailed off “To pretend to be Tess?” she asked. Max nodded. Ava looked down at Kyle. She knew Kyle hated Tess for her betrayal. Being Tess, would certainly turn him off. Ava’s heart sank. She didn’t want to turn Kyle off. She was just getting to know him. She liked him, a lot.
Kyle could sense every emotion Ava was feeling. He was pleased to discover, that she felt towards him exactly what he felt about her. Kyle returned her gaze. “You’re not Tess, Ava. Always remember that.” When Kyle sensed the tension ease from her, he winked at her and smiled. Ava waved a hand over her slowly. She now looked like Tess from the clothes, down to her Tess’s favorite shade of lip gloss. She looked just as Tess did, the day Max, Tess, Isabel and Michael activated the communicators
And saw Mayelena’s hologram for the first time. Max’s body stiffened in shock. Maria and Michael’s jaw dropped. Isabel let out a silent hiss as Jesse stared in amazement. The Evan’s and Parker’s also watched with amazement.
Kyle suddenly let out a loud groan. “Ugh!!! Can you guys not do that all at once!” Max looked at Kyle with curiosity “Do what?” Kyle was now rubbing his temples “Stress out all at once! It hit me like surround sound!” Everyone mumbled some kind of an apology. Diane came to Isabel’s side. “What’s wrong with Kyle Valenti?” “He’s an empathic.” She explained. Diane frowned “The sheriff’s son is an alien?” Isabel chuckled “No, mum. Max healed Kyle.”
Ava looked at Kyle miserably. Kyle walked over to Ava and put an arm over her. “When this is over, I will still be here.” Ava rested her head on Kyle’s shoulder. It felt good to finally have someone to count on. Isabel looked at Jesse as fear glittered in her eyes. “I understand, Isabel.” Jesse assured her. “This is something you must do for your people.” Isabel kissed Jesse hard and quick. “I love you, always remember that! And when this is over, we’ll go home and live a normal life.” Jesse nodded and embraced her tightly.
Serena sat back and watched them all. She wasn’t going. She did her job, as far a she was concerned. Zan and Vilandra were reunited with their mother, and working on a plan to dethrone Kivar. All she wanted now was to be at her best friend’s side. Even when Zan sat on the throne many years ago, he never impressed Serena. But then again, Serena wasn’t much into politics. She will always consider Zan and his sister good friends.
Michael was watching Serena. Why hadn’t their parents mention one word of her? Why was there no picture of her in the house? Something must have happened Michael thought to himself, because since he’s been on Antar, Serena hasn’t talked about their parents either. “What is it Michael?” Maria asked interrupting his thoughts. “They never mentioned her.” He said blankly Maria looked at Michael confused. “Who? Who never mentioned who?” “Serena.” Michael replied. “My parents never mentioned her. Not once.” Maria shrugged “Maybe they had a falling out.” “Yeah, maybe” Michael responded as he watched Serena head upstairs.
“Liz’s antarian mother is upstairs.” Max complained to Michael Isabel not to far from his side. Isabel’s eyebrows shot up in surprise. “Here?” she asked “Where exactly here?” “Upstairs” Max replied forlornly. Isabel sighed. “Nancy is going to find out, sometime or another. Not time like the present. Max shifted uncomfortably, as he watched Nancy and Jeff head upstairs to check on Liz.
