*A promise Broken*

max watched in the distance as liz kneeled over the grave stone that had his name rpinted on it. It was painful to make it look like he was dead, but he had no choice. he was leaving in few days and will probably never be coming back. He was never going to be able to feel Liz's soft skin against his or the way they kissed.

Tears were running down liz's face, in the back of her mnind she was Thinking. Everyone was hidding something from her: there was something no one was telling her. maria came up next to her and placed some flowers on the grave.

Max watched her closely,Maria was going to Liz. She was going to her everything. "Maria you promised you wouldnt say a word' max thought, as he watched on.

"Liz we need to talk" maria said.

Liz wiped The tears from her eyes, she was waiting for what maria had to say.

"Why do I have feeling this has something to do with max?" Liz asked curiously looking into her best friends eyes.

Maria hugged her best friend knowing that she was breaking max's promise. She promised max she would never tell Liz that he was really alive and that he was leaving town to go tyo his planet and try to save the world from ending.

"Its about max I promised I wouldnt say anything But you should know"

"Know what maria?"
Maria tried to fine the right words to say, it was hard breaking a promise that she had been keeping for weeks.

"max inst dead they just made it look like he was Dead"

Liz looked at her best friend confused. Max ducked behind the building knowing that if Liz saw him the whole plan would be messed up..
'thanks maria' he thought.

"What are you talking about?"

"He isnt dead Liz, he is alive and well and planning to leave. He didnt want to tell you, he trying to save his planet and our planet, he is leaving a couple of days." maria say the hurt and pain in her eyes.

"you lie to me? Your my best friend!" Liz yelled.

"I couldnt help it liz" Maria replied.

"Where is he?" Liz asked.

"I cant tell you"

Maria had never seen so much anger and hurt in her best friends eyes before. Max saw Liz coming his way he quickly grabbed her by the arm and pulled to the side of the building.

"Ssssh dont say a word"

"How can I not say a word when your suppose to be dead!" liz yelled.

max rubbed hhis thumb across her cheek trying to calm her down. He missed The softness of her skin.

" I had no choice If didnt do this you could of died and everyone else that I care about could die too, I have to go rule my planet"

Tears were running down Liz's face again, She had benn crying for two weeks straight and she was tired of crying.

"you lied to me max" liz replied.

"I know but It was for your own good and protection"

He quickly kissed her and wiped the tears from her eyes with his thumb.


"Liz meet me in the crashdown after it closes I want to spend my last days on earth with you and only you"


"I Love you max"

He kiseed her forehead and replied, "I 'll never stop loving you"

All this time Liz thought that he was gone forever. And here was alive and welll and no one told her. She felt betrayed and felt angry. All those nights she cried herself to sleep, and felt so hurt. her Emotions were all pouring out at this very moment.


"I cant move from this spot" She said softly trying not to cry again.

"I cant either But I have to go Maria will take you home" Max said.

Max kissed her one last time and pulled away from her. She didnt want to let go of him. she wanted him to stay in her arms forever.

Before Liz knew it max was gone, Maria tried to hug her best friend but iz wouldnt let her.

"Dont touch Me Maria; Donte even say anything to me"

"I Thought I was doing the right thing by not telling you"

"you thought wrong" Liz replied.

Max jumped in the car with Michael. Michael looked at him as if he knew what had happened.

"maria told her"

"yeah now its your turn to tell maria your leaving with me"

"Dont worry I will"-

***Final Days on Earth***

The crashdown was completely empty; Liz sat at the booth in the back where her max always sat when they came in to eat. Her mind was going back to all the memories her and max shared. And the feelings she had when she found out that Max was dead.

The doors of the Crashdown rang and Liz looked over and saw Max standing there. There was silence between them, he went up to her and wrapped his arms around her. His embrace was warm and comforting. He kissed her on the top of her head.

“I’ll never forget about you”

He played with her hair and kissed her. The kiss felt like an eternity. The next thing Liz knew they were in her bedroom. Everything about the moment was perfect.

The next morning Liz woke up to an empty bed. She rolled over and noticed a note on the pillow.

Liz-
Went to get coffee and breakfast.
Be back soon!

Max.


She rolled over on her back and stared at the ceiling she felt free at the moment. And more alive then she ever had before.


Michael paced his apartment trying to find the right words to say to Maria. Isabel was getting dizzy from watching him pace.

“Michael calm down”

“How can I? When I have to tell Maria I may never be coming back”

The door of Michael’s apartment shut and Max walked into the kitchen. He was actually smiling for the first time in weeks.

“So Brother why are you so happy?”

“I can’t be happy the final days on Earth”

“Max tonight is our last day on earth, were leaving tomorrow.”

“I know, I’m not happy about the whole thing but we have no choice in the matter”

Isabel felt like she was being left behind, Max gave her strict orders to stay , Isabel wasn’t sure why her brother wanted her to stay when she could be an important role there. But she guessed it had something to do with the whole betraying everyone she loved and the whole Kavar Thing.

“I’ll miss you and Michael”

“I better go I promised Liz coffee and breakfast”

“Max I know this hard on you”

“It’s going to be even harder on you if you don’t tell Maria”

Liz sat up in her bed as max came into the room, carrying two cups of coffee and a bag of donuts.

“Breakfast for my girl”

She smiled and leaned in to kiss him.

“I was kind of sad that you weren’t there next to me this morning”

“I’ll always be here for you night and day”

He pulled a delicious strawberry Donut out of the bag and broke a piece off for Liz. The Donut was tempting and it made Liz hungry. He lay next to her eating the delicious jelly filled donuts.

“So what will we do the rest of the day”

He smiled and kissed Liz on the cheek and wrapped his arms around her.

“Good thing your parents are out of town this week. We could just be lazy and stay in bed all day”

Liz smiled and snuggled up to max.

“That works for me”

He kissed her softly tasting the sweet strawberry filling from the donut on her lips. Liz was in heaven but that heaven will only last for so long. ‘Once he leaves my life will never be the same’ Liz thought as she stayed in Max’s arms all day.

Michael finally had the courage to talk to Maria. He knew that the words he had to say were going to have a lasting effect on her because he truly loved her. And she truly loved him, he didn’t want to break her heart, he couldn’t bare to see her heart broken any more. Maria softly knocked on the door. He answered it and let her in.

“What is this about Michael you said it was important”

“It is I wanted to talk to you about us”

‘Us’ Maria thought. ‘I don’t like the sound of that’

“About us? Or is about you going off to space with Max”

“How did you know I was going?”

She smiled and threw her bag on the couch. She knew all along by the way he was ignoring her she could see the signs and she knew before he could say anything.

“I saw the signs I noticed you were ignoring me and then it just dawned on me but, hey you didn’t have to tell me any ways”

She started pacing back and fourth, Michael really wasn’t expecting this reaction.

“So you’re ok with this?”

“Oh yeah sure! Does it look like I am ok! You’re going off to a destiny that doesn’t involve me so yeah sure I’m ok with it. Go ahead space boy leave me on this planet alone! I don’t mind hey but thanks for telling me and thanks for the memories I’ll see you in a few years”

She grabbed her bag and rushed out of his apartment. Michael followed her out into the hall.
He grabbed her arm tightly.

“Do you think I like this idea? Do you think I chose it? It’s what I have to do! And I can’t be thinking about you when I’m on mission!”

“Typical you Michael always thinking about yourself Never Mind the girl who is here on earth in love with you”

He pulled her into his arms and kissed her passionately. It was one of this mind numbing kisses where they were the only ones in the room.
Michael held her closely, trying to take in the very feel of her in his arms so he wouldn’t forget.

“Maria you the best thing in my life, you’re the only thing that makes sense in my life”

“Then don’t go” Maria Whispered softly. He wished he didn’t have to go but he no choice in the matter.

“I have to go”

Tears were starting to fall down her face. Michael slowly wiped them from her face and kissed her on the cheek.

“Maria I love you” he said softly

“I Love you Michael, I will always love you even though these are our final days together”

In the back of Maria’s Mind she thinking ‘how can he do this to me, this is the time I need him the especially since I’m having his child’

Maria was waiting for the right moment to tell Michael that she was carrying his child but now that she has found out that he was leaving on this space mission with max she couldn’t even bring up it up with Michael. She hugged him tightly knowing that she could never see him again

She looked into his eyes, crying once more she replied “Come back to me Michael, if you don’t I’ll never forgive you for the rest of my life”


*** The Next Morning-

Max woke to Liz breathing softly in her sleep. He brushed her hair away from her face and then quickly kissed her on the forehead. He got dressed and headed downstairs. Michael, Maria and Isabel were waiting for him. Michael knew that max left Liz sleeping up stairs and didn’t tell her that they were leaving first thing in the morning.

“Are you ready Michael?” max asked softly. Michael shook his head in reply and turned to look at Maria. Maria spent all night thinking about how she was going to tell Michael about his baby. She pulled out a white envelope and handed to Michael.

“What’s this?” he asked taking it from her.

“Something you need to read that I wrote. Don’t read it yet and until you I know you’re gone for sure”

Then she reached over and kissed Michael softly on the cheek.

“Where is Liz Max?”

Max looked over and saw Liz coming from the back of the crashdown.

“Michael wait out in the car I need to talk to Liz”

Maria, Isabel and Michael headed out of the crashdown so Liz and max could have some privacy.
There was so much emotion in the room; Liz could feel it all around her. Tears were rolling down her face.

“Don’t cry,” Max said softly as he wiped her tears away with his thumb.

“Promise me that you will come back to me”

He kissed her softly and replied, “I’ll come back to you Liz, don’t worry. Always look up at the stars and remember I will always be with you” He kissed her again “I have to go” Liz followed him out of the crashdown. Michael was having his last moment with Maria. When it ended they jumped into the car. Liz kept her eye on max as they sped away towards the distance. Maria held her best friend in her arms as she cried.

When they got a block away from the crashdown, Michael opened the envelope and read the letter Maria had written him.

Michael-

This is hard for me to write this letter. I know you will always love me and I know that one day you will come back to me. You will always be in heart and you will always be part of me. The child that I carry inside of me will always know who their father is. I love you Michael!!

“She is having my child max”

Max knew they had to do this they had to leave it was their destiny.

“Isabel will take of everyone for us even your unborn child”

“I know”

They drove knowing that they may never come back to Roswell again.

“We have a destiny Michael and that Destiny is to go home. Not to go Home to Roswell, but to go Home to our planet even if it means we have to give up everything”

“I guess your right”

Liz sat in the crashdown; she had no more tears to cry. It was time to get on with life. Max was gone and there was no point in crying anymore. But in her mind she knew that one day they would be together again and everything will back to normal.
She had spent the most wonderful time with max and she will never forget it even though it was his last day on Earth.

“Destiny awaits us all” Liz replied.

It wasn't real it couldn't be real. Liz promised her self that she would get on with life again. Every time The Bells on the crashdown door rang she looked up hoping it was Max. Maria did the same thing only she was hoping it would be Michael. Liz could see Maria was also hurting inside. And she felt that her best friend was keeping something from her once again.

"Liz I know you probably don't trust me at this very moment because of what we did"

"It’s over and done with Maria max and Michael are never coming back"

: you don't know that Liz"

Isabel walked into the crashdown. She sat down in the usual booth. Liz went over to her and sat down. They didn't say anything to each other, for a moment. Then Isabel broke the silence.

"I wished I went with them. But Max gave me strict orders to stay here. Something told me he didn't want to go back to our planet"

"Why?" Liz asked curious about the whole thing.

"Because he wants me to live a normal life even though their destiny is part my destiny. I miss them Liz"

Tears started rolling down Isabel’s eyes. Liz wanted to cry with her but she couldn't, she promised herself she wouldn't cry anymore.
Liz took Isabel in her arms and let her cry on her shoulder. Maria watched them comforting each other. She felt alone even more now.
Maria's stomach started hurting. The baby was telling her something. She held her stomach feeling the baby move. She wasn't that far along yet and already she could feel the baby. She started feel sick. Quickly she went to the bathroom. Liz noticed Maria running towards the bathroom. Quickly Liz went to see what was wrong with her.

"Maria unlock the bathroom door"

Maria unlocked the door noticed how pail Maria looked.

"Liz I think I need to go home can you cover for me"

"This is the second day that I have covered for you"

"I'm sick Liz!!"

"Is there something you’re not telling me Maria??"

"No, I'm just been feeling bad lately since my boyfriend left to for fill his alien destiny. You wouldn't you feel sick too??"

"I have to stay strong Maria and you do too. We have to go on with Life now. It’s been at almost a month since they left"

"A month too long Liz, since having Michael's baby"

Liz looked at her surprised; she quickly shut the bathroom door behind them. Liz noticed Maria's stomach was glowing.

"Maria, your stomach"

Maria looked down and noticed it glowing threw her Crashdown uniform. She placed her on her stomach and it stopped glowing.

"Its been doing that off and on ever since Michael left. I think the baby is telling me something"

"Did you tell michael before he left?"

Maria shook her head in reply. She started crying when she looked at herself in the Mirror. She couldn't do this nay more. She couldn't raise Michael's child while Michael is off in space somewhere.

"Liz you better make sure your having Max’s baby. Because something tells me you are"

"What?"

Maria pointed at Liz's stomach. It was also glowing. She felt this tingling sensation in her body.

"Oh god this isn’t happening not now Maria it can't!!"

"It is Liz were going to mothers for the first time"

So many thoughts were going threw Liz's mind. What was she going to do? She wasn't ready to be a mother. She hadn't even started college yet. And what are her parents going to say about this.


Later that Night~~~

Isabel was sound asleep in her room. Someone was calling to her. It sounded like Michael. She sat up in her bed.

"Michael"

There was no answer. She must have been dreaming. She laid back down staring at the ceiling. She could hear her mother in the next room crying her eyes out because max was gone. Why didn’t she just go with them? If she did she wouldn't be here miserable and alone.
Slowly she went back to sleep. Isabel started dreaming, she saw a young girl. She was reaching out to Isabel. Isabel took the girls hand and they walked through the desert. Then the little girl looked up at Isabel and said. "Your destiny is changing." Isabel looked into the little girls eyes. She looked so much like Michael and yet she had this quality about her that reminded her of Maria.

"Who are you?" Isabel asked the little girl.

"I’m someone who isn't born yet. Come on Izzy I have something to show you"

The Little girl dragged her to the rock formation in the desert. There stood a little boy. The little girl went up to him.

"What is our destiny?" The little girl asked the boy.

"Not the destiny of our parents" The boy replied

"Who are your parents?" Isabel asked confused by what was going on.

"I am your nephew.”The son of the King"

"Your mother is Tess??”

"No silly.”My mother isn't alien she is human. "

Then it dawned On Isabel, Liz and Maria are pregnant with max and Michael's babies.

"How did you come to me in this dream??"

"We wanted to give you a message to give to our mothers" The girl replied.

"Message?"

“Tell them to protect us, and make sure you watch over us. Mean people will be out to get us. You must go now it is nearly morning"

The little took Isabel’s hand and the boy took the girls hand and a flash of light came over them. And Isabel woke up to the annoying sound of her alarm clock.

“I’m telling you Liz I saw your child in my dreams and He told me to give you a message” Isabel said as she poured Tabasco sauce all her pancakes.

“I’m having a boy!!” Liz jumped with joy as she took a piece of Isabel’s pancake.

“Yes and Maria is having a girl. They both told me that someone is coming after them. We have to protect them when they are born”

“You saw this all in your dream?”

“Yes and I think something big is about to happen, I don’t want anything to happen to my nephew or Maria’s child”

“Nothing will happen we will make sure of that”

Isabel smiled, that was the first time Liz had seen her smile in weeks. Maria came trudging into the crashdown. She looked as if she was having a bad day.

“What’s wrong with you Maria” Liz asked.

“I’m the worst day ever! Liz this baby will not make my stomach stop glowing I can’t wear any of my clothes I’m starting to freak out!!!” She grabbed a hand full of Isabel’s pancakes and stuffed them in her mouth.

“I hope when I have children I don’t go what you guys are going through right now” Isabel said laughing at Maria who was chewing a mouth full of pancakes.

“I hope this baby comes out soon”

“We can’t have the baby in the hospital they will ask questions” Liz said. She never of that until now. That was one of questions that was floating in her head.

“I haven’t even told my mother yet, I’m trying to hide it the best way I can”

“Good thing my parents are out of town “


“Aren’t they due back today Liz”

Liz frantically looked at the calendar; it was marked in big bold letters. PARENTS COME HOME FROM TRIP!!

“OH god!!”

“Don’t freak out yet Liz you’re not as far a long as I am Maybe they won’t notice”

Isabel sensed something coming from Maria’s baby. It was like the baby was telling her something from the wound. She placed her hand On Maria’s stomach and made a connection.

“Oh god Maria, you baby is just like Michael.” Isabel said after the connection broke

“What makes you say that?”

“She is going to be stubborn just like Michael”

“Great I was hoping she would have my personality”

"She has your qualities; she will look somewhat like you when she grows up"

Liz looked over at Maria and sat back down and then replied “she saw our children in a dream"

"What?"

"They came to me in a dream last night, Maria" Isabel said.

"What kind of dream?"

"One of those weird alien dreams. They said that basically they were in danger"

Part 4



*the return*

~months later

A young man by the name of Max Evans climbed through, Liz parkers bedroom window. He was back in Roswell, and already he was on the run from danger. He heard footsteps coming from the stairs. Quickly he hid in the closet. Liz couldn't see him; she couldn't know that he was back in Roswell after he had been gone almost a year now.

Liz entered her room with Maria behind her. Liz looked scared out of her mind. Max something sensed was wrong.

"Liz, we don't know what these dreams mean that Isabel is having. Our babies will be in danger everyday"

Max, didn’t hear what he thought he heard, babies?? Liz is having his child??

"No she can't be" max whispered softly, to himself.

"We can't risk anything Maria; Max’s parents still think he is dead, which he isn't. We have to keep this to ourselves somehow"

"How can we Liz if our stomachs are always glowing like light bulbs!!!"

Maria lifted up her shirt and showed Liz her stomach. It was glowing like a florescent lamp. Max couldn't believe what he was seeing. He wanted to open the door of the closet and tell Liz he was here, he was back. But he couldn't risk it. Maria, Pulled her shirt back down. She sat next to her best friend and hugged her tightly.

"Everything is going to be ok Liz.we don't need max and michael to get through this . I'm going to go my mom has been bugging me about not being home"

Maria left the room, Liz sat there on her bed alone, and tears were flowing down her face. Max couldn't stand for to be like this anymore. There was so much he wanted to tell her. He missed her deeply with all his heart. Liz lay on her bed; she hugged the valentine bear, which max gave her tightly in her arms. Slowly she fell fast asleep. Max quietly, opened the closet door. He walked out of the closet and passed the sleeping Liz.
He stopped slowly and watched Liz sleep for a moment. He bent down and kissed her softly on the cheek, and whispered,

"I love you Liz" And then climbed out the window.

Maria looked at herself in the mirror, she looked horrible. She placed her hand on her stomach and felt the baby moving. She had a feeling that maybe this pregnancy may not be so normal after all. Maria was hoping it would be normal except for the glowing stomach and all. There was a soft knock on her bedroom door.

"What"

"Can I come in" Her mother said through the door.

"Sure I guess"

Amy walked in the room; she hadn't seen her daughter in forever. She was hardly ever home, and something told Amy that Maria was keeping something from her.

"Can we talk Maria?"

"What about mom"

"You, why does it feel like your hiding something from me"

Maria knew this was coming she dreaded it ever since she found out she was having Michael’s baby.

"I'm not hiding anything mom"

"Yes you are, your never home, we barely speak ever since Michael left and your friend max died"

"Can we not talk about this now"

"If not now when?"

"When I am ready to tell you about what’s going on in my life"

"Fine"

Amy left the room, Maria hated doing this but her mother couldn't know not yet at least.
Max paced back and fourth in the pod chamber. Michael sat against the cave wall watching max pace.

"I can't believe this max, were both going to be fathers"

"That’s not the issue Michael, the issue is we should have never came back. Were in danger"

"Were always in danger max."

"How children are in danger too"

"What??"

"Isabel had some kind of dream about our unborn children; they said they were in danger"

"What are we going to do great leader? We came back knowing we would be in danger"

"I don't know what to do"

Michael quickly got up and brushed himself off.

"I'll tell you what were going to do. Were going to stay away from Liz and Maria, We can't risk being seen"

"I can't do that Michael, she is carrying my child and Maria is carrying yours doesn’t that mean anything"

"It does but we can't let the thought of it rule us. Besides we have to protect them from what’s after us. But we have to do it unseen"

Max didn't like the idea; He wanted to let Liz know he was here. He couldn't bear to see her suffer again.

"Maybe your right Michael, staying away from is the best thing right now"

In back of Max’s mind he had a whole different plan; a plan that was far different then what Michael wanted him to do.

Part 5

Liz woke up, alone in her room but she didn't feel like she was alone at all. She looked down at the clock next to her bed. It was after 10am. She laid back down in bed not wanting to get up. There was a soft knock on her bed room door.

"Maria go away"

"I’m sorry to say Lizzy it’s not Maria" a male voice said through the door. Thee voice caught her attention. It was her father, they were back from there trip.

"Oh just I sec I'm not dressed"

Liz quickly got up and threw a robe on, and then she went to answer the door. Her fathers smiling face greeted her.

"Lizzy I missed you” her father hugged her tightly. Liz couldn't believe that her parents were back from their trip. She wished she could make them go away at this moment in time. Mr. Parker knew that there was something wrong with his daughter.

"What’s wrong Lizzy?"

"Nothing dad, I'm just surprised that your here"

"We got in late, is there something you’re not telling me?"

"No, I'm going down stairs to get something to eat in a sec and you can tell me how the trip went"

"Ok but hurry"

Mr. Parker kissed his daughter on the cheek and went back down stairs. Liz leaned against the door for a sec. She was starting to panic. Her parents are back in town and eventually they are going to notice that she is pregnant. Liz decided that this was the time to tell her parents about her situation, but she was going to leave the whole alien detail out of the story.

The morning was already starting off bad for Maria Deluca. First she nearly kills an old lady crossing the street and secondly she bumps into this cute guy and acts like a complete idiot. 'It’s been a while' Maria thought. Ever since Michael left she couldn't look at another guy without thinking about Michael. Maria parked her car in front of the crashdown. She looked in her review mirror, and saw who she thought was Michael. She was seeing things, Michael is gone. She blinked twice and made sure she wasn't seeing things; she looked back in the rear view mirror and saw no one.

"Get a grip deluca, your seeing things" She said out loud to herself as she headed into the crashdown. She pulled her shirt down trying to hide her stomach, but it was getting harder and harder. Michael watched Maria from the around the corner. Max came up behind him.

"We can't do this Michael; eventually they are going to see us"

"Yeah but I am being careful, unlike you crawling through Liz’s bedroom window and almost getting caught"

"I had no choice I was being followed at the time"

"We are in deep max"

"I know"


Maria went to the back of the crashdown, to get ready for work. She noticed the cute guy she bumped into earlier. Opening up his locker and pulling out an apron.

"Well if it isn't the girl I bumper into earlier"

Maria smiled, she had no idea that he worked in the crashdown, and he must have been the new cook they have hired.
"Yeah I am, I'm the one who made a complete idiot out of herself and I had no idea you were the new cook"

"Yeah I'm just starting today, I don't think I got your name?"

"Its Maria Deluca, yours would be?"

"Rafe Walters"

"Great name sounds like something from a soap opera"

"Yeah, I guess my mother was going through a soap phase when she had me"

It was nice that Maria wasn't making a complete idiot out of herself now. Maria stuck her bobbing alien antennas and was ready to go. She started to feel dizzy, something was wrong she could feel it. Rife looked at her funny.

"Are you ok"

"Yeah I just felt dizzy all of a sudden but I will be ok"

Rafe headed towards the kitchen and Maria went out into the dinning area of the crashdown. Liz was already their eating alien pancakes with Tabasco sauce on top of them.

"I'm craving alien food"

"Yeah I know I've been eating it like crazy. Today has been one of the worst days ever Liz"

"I have this weird feeling Maria"

"Funny so do I"

"I can feel max every I go it’s like he's watching me or something"

"I could have sworn I saw Michael this morning"

The bells of the crashdown doors rung, Kyle walked in and sat down next to Liz.

"I haven't seen you guys lately ever since Max's funeral"

"We’ve been busy Kyle" Liz replied. She looked up at Maria knowing that Kyle new nothing about what was going on. Maria came around the counter and grabbed Kyle by the arm and dragged him to the back of the crashdown.

"We have to tell you something and you can't tell anyone else" Liz said hoping that she could trust Kyle at this moment.
Liz tried to find the words to say but Maria started saying them for her.

"Me and Liz are having Michael and Max's baby and Max isn't dead he's alive on his planet with Michael"

"What?"

"I know it’s all sudden to take this all”

"You bet it is! So let me get this straight, max and Michael left you guys pregnant to live on their planet??"

"Well that’s the summed up version of it"

"Max's parents have been thinking he was dead all this time"

"Yeah but they can't know Kyle, can we trust you to keep this a secret till we tell our parents" Liz said

"Your secrets safe with me"

Destiny Awaits

Part 6-


The breakfast shift was finally over, Liz was tired and her feet were starting to hurt and she felt sick to her stomach. She went o the back to change out of her uniform. She felt like she was being watched, maybe she starting to get paranoid as she opened her locker someone grabbed her from behind and pulled her up the stairs. She wanted to scream, but the stranger had her mouth covered with his hands. He threw her in her room. She hadn't had a chance to see the persons face.

"Who ever you are you better let me go or I will scream"

"Don’t scream Liz" The voice of the person sounded so familiar, she turned to see who had grabbed her. When she saw the face she couldn't believe her eyes. She wanted to faint.

"Oh god" She whispered not sure what to say to the one person she hadn't seen in almost a year.

'I know you weren't expecting me back, But I had to see you"

Max started towards her, but Liz backed away. Max knew that she was upset with him for leaving. Liz stood there staring at him for a moment not sure what to say or what to do. She closed her eyes wondering if she was dreaming.

"I'm dreaming your not here, your not here max"

"I'm here right in front of you Liz"

He took her hand in his, remembering what it was like to touch her. Tears started rolling down Liz's cheeks. Max wiped them away with his thumb. It was real; max was actually standing right in front her. It was a dream, it wasn't an illusion.

"Your real, your actually here" She kissed him passionately. She didn't want him to leave this time. Max stopped kissing her even though he didn't want to.

"I can't stay Liz, I want you to know that I Ma here to protect you and our child. Don't trust anyone Liz their after us Liz"

He quickly kissed on the forehead and started climbing out the window, Liz stopped him.

"Who's after us max?"

"I can't explain at the moment Liz, Our child and Maria's child Hold Unbelievable powers"

He placed his hand on Liz's stomach feeling the baby and making a connection with the child. Liz felt this overwhelming feeling come over her. It was best feeling she ever felt. She kissed max again not wanting him to leave.

"I have to go"

"Don’t stay"

"Liz I love you"

He kissed her on the cheek and left. Liz watched him leave. She closed the window; she looked down and noticed the sliver handprint on her stomach.
Everything felt so weird now, everything was different, and it was like the room was spinning. She felt somewhat dizzy.
Max knew someone was watching him, He turned around and there stood someone he wasn't expecting.

"Well, if it isn’t max Evans the King himself" The tall dark man said. Max Stood there not sure who this person was.

"Who are you?" Max asked with caution.

"I'm someone that can help my names Rafe”

"Rafe? Interesting name, I don't think I need your help"

Max started to walk away, but rafe followed him.

"I'm sorry to say but you do. Your girl friend and you are in real deep. They know about the baby and don't like it max. And they know about Maria and Michaels baby"

"How do you know about this?"

"I was sent to protect you, Michael, and the royal babies"

"Now I know who you are, you’re our royal protector we had on our planet"

"Bingo!! I just said that!! Boy it takes you a few minutes to catch on. Your enemies are all around and they will kill to get what they want"

"You don't think I don't know that"

Max wasn’t sure about rafe. He had to be very careful. Rafe followed Him all the way back to the pod chambers. Michael was pacing back and fourth in the pod chamber.

"Max where have you been"

"I went to see Liz"

"What?"

"I had to warn her Michael"

"Who this?"

Rafe smiled and replied, "Rafe, the royal four protector, and you must be Michael"

"Protector? They sent you"

"The good guys did"

Maria noticed that her best friend was glowing with happiness. They were busy cleaning up for the lunch crowd that was heading in.
"Liz parker is actually smiling for once"

"Something happened this morning Maria"

"What Happened?"

"Max"

Maria looked at her best friend funny, what she meant by saying just "max"

"What about Max?"

"He back in Roswell, I saw him"

Maria was starting to freak out. She grabbed Liz by the arm and dragged her to the back of the crashdown.

"Tell me you were dreaming Liz because Max and Michael are gone they are never coming back"

"I wasn't dreaming Maria he was there. He said that they are after our children, they both have some unbelievable power they want"

"Who are they?"

"I don't know max wouldn't say he left in a hurry, but before he left he touched my stomach and gave them this weird feeling" Liz lifted up her uniform shirt and showed Maria the handprint.

"Oh god!! If I see Michael I will freak out!! Liz I can't see him after all this I can’t, I just can't"

"So you believe then"

"Not entirely, I still think we are both going crazy. Liz They isn’t coming back!!"

"Maria I know you believe me. And I know what I believe."

Liz quickly got up and Headed back into the dinning area of the crashdown. Maria wasn't sure what to believe anymore. She never thought she would ever fall in love with an alien hybrid and have his baby. She touched her stomach and said ., "I hope your more like me and nothing like Michael Guerrin, that’s if we survive this whole ordeal"

Liz took the rest of the day off from work, she couldn't concentrate. Maria did the same thing. They both knew that their lives were changing. Maria Came home and found her mother waiting for her. Maria knew that her mother wanted to have the "talk"

"Maria when were you going to tell me"

"Tell you what?"

"That you were pregnant, that’s what you have been hiding from all this time isn't"

"How did you find out?"

"Ohh well you just told me and I had a feeling. Is the father Michael? "

"Yes, and get off my back it"

"Where is he Maria?”

Maria didn't want to have this talk with her right now. She just wanted to be left alone; she was always tired of hiding things, Keeping secrets and lying.

"He left town once he found out. He wasn't suppose to come back but then someone told me he's back in town"

"What are you going to do Maria, you can't raise a baby yet your only 18, you have your whole life ahead of you, and you just graduated from High school"

"That’s my problem not yours"

Maria ran upstairs to her room and slammed the door behind her. She didn't see someone behind the door. They grabbed her and put a rag to her face and the next thing Maria knew everything was black. She woke up hours later in the back of a van; ropes were tied around her arms and legs. She couldn't scream it was like someone had taken her voice away.

She noticed someone else in the van passed out and tied up the same way she was. What was going on? Panic started settling in. The van halted to a stop. The doors flew open and two men with Black clothes and black ski mask on pulled Maria out of the van. Maria frantically tried to escape but they stuck a needle with some kind of liquid in her arm and it made her sleep.


Liz was starting to get worried; she hadn't seen Maria in Hours. Max climbed through her bedroom window. Worry covered his face.

"Where’s Maria"

"I don't know I haven't seen her in hours"

"We have to find her"


Maria Found herself in a padded room Across from her was the same Girl she saw in the van earlier. The girl looked frightened and confused. She looked at Maria with Fear and panic.

"Where are we?" Maria said hoarsely getting her voice back, slowly. The girl was shaking from head to toe. She noticed that Maria's Stomach was glowing/

"Their going to kill us, I know who you are. Your the One with They want"

"Then why are you here"

"I'm one of them, an alien who can see into the future"

The girl hugged herself as if she was cold. Was there such thing as an alien who could see the future? Could this girl predict our destinies??

"You saw the future, the Royal fours future"

"You weren't part of it, Destiny is changing" The girl kept Shaking.

"If you’re an alien, use your powers to get us out of here"

"I can’t! They will know"

"Who are they? Again I ask"

"The Skins, They want your baby dead, and they want, your friends baby Dead"

The skins, what else could go wrong? Maria sat on the cold floor of the padded room. Why did this have to happen to her? Tears started rolling down her eyes. She looked over at the girl that was with her in the padded room. The girl looked so young she didn't even look 17. Maria looked up and closed her eyes, and whispered " Please Michael if your here help me"




Destiny Awaits

Part 7


Minutes ticked by, hours, seconds and what seemed like days. Maria Knew she was in danger, the padded was driving her insane. Maybe that’s what they wanted, to see her go crazy in this room. A door opened and in walked a slender dark haired man. He smiled and glanced at the girl in the corner and then glanced at Maria. Maria slowly got up Afraid of what he might do. The girl was scared of him; she acted as if she had a confrontation with him before.

He snapped his fingers and in walked two more men. They grabbed Maria and pulled her to one side. Then the dark haired man went towards the girl.

"Now Hayden don't be scared"

"You can't hurt me” She whispered. She closed her eyes hoping that he wasn't there.

"You hold the alien sight, the sight that sees within the future" The man said as he brushed her hair away from her face.

Maria struggled with the two men. The Dark haired man turns towards Maria.

"And you’re no one who is having one of the royal four babies. Take her to the next room"

The dragged Maria out of the room and led her down the hall. She struggled with them until one of them drugged her again.
Hayden was alone in the room with a man she knew all to well.

"Hayden, It’s a shame that your brother can’t be here to help you again"

"I'm not afraid of you"

"Yes you are, you know what I can do to you if you don't do what I want"

He looked her in the eyes, and instantly her mind was flooded with these horrible visions. She started seeing things that weren’t there.

"Stop!!! Please!!"

"Tell Me what you saw in your last Vision. Was it a vision of the royal four?"

"Yes"


Maria Woke up dizzy and confused. She could hear voices all around her. Slowly her sight was coming back. A man in a suit stood in front of her. She tired to a chair; it was pointless to try to break free because she couldn't move a muscle. From what Maria could see this man looked somewhat the same age as her. He didn't look like he wanted to hurt her.

"What are you going to do to me" Maria said in a weak voice.

"Shh, be quiet I don't want to hurt you" The door to the room opened and the tall dark haired man came in.

"What are you doing, Christian?"

"I'm trying to do what you told me"

"It looks as if you are doing nothing"

"I can't do anything with her if she's like this, Tyson"

Tyson, finally Maria knew what his name was; she could see the pure hatred in him.

"Maybe your right Christian keep an eye on her and soon as she fully comes out of it kill her and the baby"

Tyson walked out and slammed the door with his powers. Christian Stood in front of Maria knowing that she would die soon.

"I don't want you to die and I don't want your baby to die" Christian said.

"Help me"

"He is watching our every move, Max’s every move and Michael's every move. If I do something to help you he will kill me"

"I don't want to die"



Liz called Isabel to the crashdown; she walked in and was surprised to see max and Michael.

"Max, Michael"

She hugged both of the tightly, she had missed both of them so much She could see a concern look upon each of there faces.

"What’s going on?"

"We need your help, Maria is missing can use your powers to find her"

Isabel Sat in one of the booths Liz handed her a picture of Maria.

"I can make a connection with the baby and find her from there"

Isabel placed her hand on the photo and made the connection. Instantly she was pulled into the room where Maria was. She noticed Maria, she looked horrible. She looked as if she had been drugged.

"Maria can you hear me?"

Maria looked and noticed Isabel; she thought she was seeing things.

"Isabel?"

"Its me, you have to tell us where you are"

"I don't know"

Isabel looked around to find something that could tell her where Maria was.

"Who took you Maria? Stay with me please"

"The skins, someone named Tyson"

Instantly Isabel was sucked by into the crashdown. She started coughing and gagging.

"The skins have her, she is in some kind of room or building, I think it’s an abandon Building somewhere"

"There is an abandon Factory out in the desert could that be it?" Liz hoping that was where Maria was.

"I don't know I didn't recognize the place"

"She is in trouble max"

"The baby is in trouble I'm not letting anything happen to her"
Michael quickly left the crashdown, Rafe came into the crashdown just as Michael was leaving he stopped Michael and made him sit down.

"I know where she is,"

They all hopped into rafe's car, and headed towards the desert. Twenty minutes later they came to a building in the middle of the desert.

"This place was a laboratory, they shut it down years ago" Liz replied.

"We have to be careful" Rafe said.

Michael, Felt something, he knew something was happening to Maria. He started getting flashes.

"We have to hurry" Michael said holding his stomach in pain.

Christian Quickly tried to untie the Ropes that were around Maria. He had to get her out of here. Finally, he got the ropes untied and tied to help Maria up.

"Hayden" She whispered under her breath.

"Hayden is here?"

"Yes in the other room"

"You have to snap out of it Maria"

Slowly they made there way out of the room, they went to the next to room to find Hayden. Hayden was standing there frightened out of her mind.

"Christian"

"Come on we have to get out of here"

Tyson came up behind them; he clapped his hands and started smiling.

"The brave Christian defies me"

"I'll kill you if you take one more step"

"No you won't"

"Watch me"

Christian used his powers to throw Tyson across the room. But Tyson bounced back. Michael and Max heard a commotion around the hall in the building. Christian used his powers again and this time Tyson stayed on the ground, he quickly helped Maria out of the room, Hayden followed them down the hall. She stopped at the end of the hall when she noticed max and Michael.

"The royal Ones” She whispered.

Michael noticed Christian Practically carrying Maria. Tyson Got back up, his skin was hanging off his body.

"You’re not going to hurt her again” Michael used his powers on Tyson and he exploded into a million pieces.

***Final Chapter****

Everyone sat in the crashdown , Max could see that Liz was worried about Maria even more now. He sat next to her trying to give her comfort and support. Liz Hugged max tightly, and cried on his shoulder.
Michael Held Maria’s hand hoping she would notice that he was there. She slowly opened her eyes.

"Michael” She whispered softly.

"I'm here" He brushed her hair away from her face. He was glad that she wasn't seriously hurt. But they did do a number on her. She was pale and still weak.

"I'm so glad your here" She wrapped her arms around Michael scared to death about what just happened. Michael didn't want to leave her or the child.

"I'm never going to leave you again Maria"

"Is that a promise?"

"It’s more then a promise"

Michael lay next to her in the bed and held her. Maria was already feeling better with Michael next to her.
Liz looked at the girl they called Hayden. She looked younger then 16. The guy they called Christian Stood next to her.

"I don't get them" Liz said to max.

"Their one of us"

"An Alien?"

"As far as I know. Liz can we talk, go someplace quiet"

"Sure"

They went to the back of the crashdown, Liz knew Max wanted to have one of those serious talks.
"I missed you Liz"

"I missed you max"

"I don't want anything to happen to you or Maria like that again"

"It won't max"

"I want to be there for our son"

He placed his hand on her stomach and made a connection with the baby. Liz smiled as she started feeling all these weird warm feelings.

"Will I always feel this way when you touch me like that?"

"I don't know"

"Max"

"Yes"

"I love you"

Liz Wrapped her arms around max once more and kissed him, her dreams were coming true. Max was back in her life, she is going to have a child and start a family. Liz felt everything was going the way she wanted it to go. She couldn't be happier.

"Stay with me max" She whispered into his ear.

"Forever" Max kissed her again. Finally his destiny was turning the way he wanted it. Destiny was changing for all them. And it goes to show that Destiny awaits us all in the end.

"My destiny has changed” max replied has he held Liz in his arms.

"Destiny Awaits us all" Liz replied happier then ever.
