Chapter one


“You know what you must do darling” tess’s mother said as she brushed her daughter beautiful long blond hair.

“yes mother I know” tess said looking herself in the mirror. She knew her responsibility as young girl turning of age. It was her duty like every young girl of royalty on antar to marry and have babies. But she was different from any other girl on antar. She was going to marry Maxwell The future king of antar. Tess was nervous and excited all at once.

“Then you need to take action you will soon be married” Her mother said.

“yes mother I am trying but Maxwell doesn’t seem interested. He has been spending all his hours away.” Tess said. She wished Maxwell wouldn’t shy away from her.

“then you need to make him interested” her mother said.

“How can I make someone interested in me that wont even look at me” tess said.

“Sweet heart you need to use your charm and beauty” She said with a smile.


“We cant do this anymore” Elizabeth said as she longed for Maxwell to touch her again.

“I don’t care. I don’t want to be married to someone I cant be with” Maxwell said.

“Its your duty. And If the council finds out…” Maxwell stopped her from speaking.

“Don’t even think about that” Maxwell said softly kissing her soft lips. Elizabeth pulled away, she had to leave.

“ This is wrong. You’re the future king. Your royalty and Im…not.” Elizabeth said.

“ I don’t care. All I think about is you. When I am lying in bed at night all I think is you being there. Your warm body touching mine.” Max said walking closer to her. He was drawn to her. It was like an obsession he couldn’t deny. Elizabeth looked down and stepped away.

“I have to go” Elizabeth ran off into the distance. Maxwell wanted to chase after her but then he realized he was suppose to be back at the palace hours ago.

Maxwell sat across from tess at the table. Tess Kept eying him. He knew something was on his mind. He played with his food on his plate. Max’s parents knew that Something was wrong. Max wouldn’t even look at tess.

“Son is something wrong?” His mother asked.

“No mother why do you ask?” he said.

“Because you havent touched your food” She said.

“Im not hungry may I be excused” Maxwell said.

“No we have prepared this lovely meal and you are going to eat it.” His father said.

“Excuse me but May I have permission to walk with Maxwell to the courtyard. There is something I need to discuss with him” Tess said with a smile. To Maxwell there wasn’t anything to discuss. They both got up and tess pulled Maxwell by the hand into the courtyard.


They walked hand in hand in the courtyard. Maxwell knew what Tess was trying to do and wasn’t going work .

“ I want this to work. I want you to look at me with love in your heart. Not with disgust and anger. I want us to be in love….so on our wedding night we can…make love to each other for the first time” tess said blushing. Tess had daydreamed about Maxwell touching her, kissing her making love to her.

The only one he wanted to make love to for the first time with would be Elizabeth. Tess was beautiful but he didn’t have that connection with her that he had with Elizabeth. They on the bench and The sky started to change day was turning into night.

“ I don’t feel anger towards you” Maxwell said as he started walking up towards the palace.

“Then what do you call it then? You don’t even look at me. Tonight we will be sleeping in the same bed. Will you touch me like your suppose to? Will you whisper in my ear good night and kiss me softly?” She asked.

“ I cant promise those things” He said softly a softly as he walked down the hall.

Maxwell watched Tess brush her hair on the bed. She had on a long sleeping gown that fit her body just right. She turned and her hair fell across her shoulders.

“I didn’t hear you come in” She said turning towards him.

“Sorry” he said softly. He kept think what Elizabeth would look like in that night gown in his bed. He knew Tess was going to try to seduce him tonight. She crawled into her side of the bed. Max quickly changed and crawled into his side of the bed. He was surprised she wasn’t trying anything.

“Goodnight” he whispered. Tess turned towards him. She leaned in brushed a soft kiss on his lips.

“Goodnight” tess said as she curled up next to him and fell asleep.

Maxwell couldn’t sleep. He stepped out of the room and went out onto the balcony. He needed to see Elizabeth he longed to see her. He took a deep breath and concentrated hard he knew if he used his powers hard enough he could telaport himself to anywhere on antar. Suddenly he found himself in front Elizabeths bedroom. He looked in the window and saw her brushing her long dark brown hair. Oh how he longed to touch her beautiful hair. She must of sensed him she turned to see him at the window. She went to the window and opened it.

“What are you doing are you trying to get me in trouble” Elizabeth said. Maxwell noticed the marks on her arms.

“Who did this?” Maxwell said touching her trying to use his powers to heal her But she pulled away.

“If you heal me he will know” Elizabeth said.

“Your father did this to you?” Maxwell asked concerned.

“ Its not your concern. Why are you here?” Elizabeth asked.

“I…had to see you. I cant sleep unless your next to me. I cant breath unless your with me. I need you. I long to make love to you for the first time” Maxwell said taking her face and kissing her. Elizabeth once again pulled away.

“ I long to have you touch me. I long to kiss your passionately Every night I dream about you touching me…making…love to me but it can never happen. Im a commoner and your royalty. Your destiny is already set for you and so is mine” Elizabeth said softly.

“What do you mean?” Maxwell asked.

“It does not matter” Elizabeth said.

“It does to me” Maxwell said.

“ I’m being sent away tomorrow. I’ve been sent to be a slave to earn money for our family” Elizabeth said.

“Where are they sending you?” Maxwell asked.

“I don’t know all I know is I’m leaving tomorrow” Elizabeth said.

“If you get sent far I wont beable to see you” Maxwell said.

“That’s the whole point. I don’t want to be someones slave!” Elizabeth said with tears in her eyes. Maxwell took her into his arms and kissed her softly. Suddenly he was pulled back to the balcony.

“Maxwell? Come inside its cold” Tess said softly.

“Yeah” Maxwell said.

The next morning -


Maxwell was sitting at the royal table waiting for his breakfast. Tess was setting next to him clinging to him. He hated that. He would pull away but he knew that would look suspicious. The servants started bringing out everyone’s breakfast. They all heard a crash and They looked up. One of the servants had dropped everything on the floor. Maxwell looked up and noticed the beautiful brown eyes he loved so much. ‘Elizabeth?’ he whispered softly.

“That’s the new servant your father hired for us” Tess said looking at her with disgrace. Maxwell didn’t believe this. Elizabeth would here all the time waiting on them hand and foot. Max looked away from Elizabeth. His father looked at him questionably. Elizabeth quickly used her powers to clean her mess. And she ran back into the kitchen. She had not realized she was going to be sent to Maxwell’s royal palace. When they told her she was being sent away she had no idea it would be here. This wasn’t good. She leaned against the wall of the kitchen all the other servants were looking at her curiously.

“Is everything ok?” Serena one of the servants asked.

“im fine” Elizabeth said as she quickly went back to her assigned choirs.

“She’s new she needs to learn the ropes” Serena said continuing her choirs.

Chapter 2

Maxwell needed to get away he was feeling smothered. Tess was clinging to him every second of the day. He needed to see Elizabeth he needed his brown eyed beauty. He sat on the balcony taking in the breeze and relaxing. He had somehow dodged tess. He told her he wasn’t feeling well and he needed rest. Maxwell felt a presence and looked up. There she was so beautiful standing there staring at him holding a tray with a strange looking hot liquid that was similar to hot tea. She bowed and went over to the table and sat down the tray.

“Anything I…can get you?” She asked softly.

“ Yeah you can. Come here” Maxwell said softly. Elizabeth stepped closer to him.

“ I never expected you to be here” Maxwell said softly.

“ I must not stay long. Ms tess is requesting me” Elizabeth said.

“ Tell her your busy” max said as he took her into the room . He used his powers to close the balcony door. He stood in front of Elizabeth.

“ Please I don’t want any problems” She said softly. The next thing Elizabeth knew Maxwell pulled her into his arms and started kissing her. She didn’t pull away. She wanted this. She needed this. It was Electric, The heat between them was so intense. Elizabeth moaned as max touched her through her servant gown.

“We…cant do this not here not now” Elizabeth said in a whisper. Maxwell didn’t care. He wanted to rip her clothes off and see her beautiful naked body.

“ I …need you” he whispered. Kissing her softly. He laid her on the bed and was ready to have his way with her when he heard a voice outside the door. He quickly used his powers to lock the door.

“Maxwell? Are you ok?” Tess said through the door. Maxwell looked at Elizabeth and gave her another soft kiss and quickly got up.

“yes Im fine…I was just resting” Maxwell said through the door. Elizabeth got up fixed her clothes. What was she thinking! Maxwell let tess in.

“Whats going on?” Tess asked.

“Oh Elizabeth was bringing tea to me and she was going to clean the room up for us but I insisted that she not do any work to the room…since I would be resting” Maxwell said.

“Be gone then” Tess said letting Elizabeth out. Maxwell shut the door behind her and leaned on the door. Tess turned and pulled him towards the bed.

“Are you…feeling better? She asked as she sat on his lap.

“ Tess….Im really tired I didn’t get much sleep last nigh” Maxwell said.

“ Well…I know we’ve been busy all day and we havent really had any alone time” Tess said kissing his face.

“Tess” Maxwell said.

“Make love to me Maxwell” Tess said as she pulled down her dress revealing her perky busty breast.

Maxwell ran as fast as he could until he got to the clearing. He couldn’t believe he almost made love to the one person he couldn’t never have feelings for. He slumped against a tree and put his hands to his face and just cried. Why couldn’t he just have the one thing he wanted. They were always making rules and telling him what to do. Why couldn’t he just do what he wanted. He wasn’t happy. He closed his eyes and tried to vision his beauty. That was the only thing that could make him happy right now. He shuffling and looked up and saw Michael.

“Maxwell?” he said softly.

“Michael you followed me?” Maxwell said.

“You ran out of the palace in a hurry is something wrong?” Michael asked.

“ Everything is wrong” Maxwell said.

“Wrong how?” Michael said.

“Its not fair. Its not fair I have to….” Maxwell stopped himself.

“To what?” Michael asked.

“Nothing just go away! And Leave me be!” Maxwell said.

“Its apparent your very upset . Is it about the girl?” Michael asked curiously.

“tess?” Maxwell said softly.

“No the other girl” Michael asked.

“The other girl?” Maxwell asked trying to act like he didn’t know what he was talking about.

“ Don’t play dumb with me Maxwell. The girl I saw you with in the woods The one you kissed for the first time” Michael replied.

“How do you know about her? You were spying on me!” Maxwell said getting up in face.

“ I had orders from your father. You out gallivanting around for hours with this girl.” Michael said.

“ You told him didn’t you?” Maxwell asked.

“No..what kind of friend would I be if I did that” Michael said.
“ I love her Michael. I don’t love tess and I almost made love to tess today. But I don’t love her ! I Love elizabeth! She is the one thing that makes sense in my life right now” Maxwell said.

“ Its your duty and your honor to obey your family Maxwell.” Michael said.

“ Is it my duty to make love to someone I don’t care about? Is it my duty to marry someone I barely know! That’s not honor! They are forcing me to make decisions that arent right for me!” Maxwell yelled.

“I see your point. You know what happens to royalty when they disobey there family? And do you know what will happen if you do not marry tess?” Michael said.

“I know and it’s a risk worth taking” Maxwell said.

“No it isn’t! Do you want to risk everything being taken away from you! “ Michael said.

“NO I don’t! You don’t understand your just like them!” Maxwell yelled.

“ I follow the rules! Get your head out of the clouds Maxwell! This girl is a commoner! She will do nothing for you!” Michael yelled.

“ What do you know about Love! You’ve never been in love I your entire life” Maxwell said.

“ Being your second in command is my job I don’t have time for love” Michael said.

“ Don’t you ever feel like being free? Free from all this? Doing what you want? I don’t have that and you don’t have that” Maxwell said.

“Because I am loyal to my people and your family. You need to show where your loyalty lies. Either its her or your family you decide” Michael said as he walked off. That wasn’t an easy decision for Maxwell.

“ Mother something is wrong. I am telling you something is wrong. He was ready. He was ready to have me and he keeps pulling away. There is something going on. “ Tess said.

“Dear he is just nervous” her mother said.

“Mother he took off running. And the way he looked at the new servant suggested he knew her.” tess said.

“Are you saying he has feelings for a commoner? That’s outrageous” Her mother said.

“Your right. Maybe its just nerves. I don’t like him pushing me away.” tess said.

“everything will be fine.” Her mother said.

“you really think so?” tess said.

“ I know so” She said kissing her daughters forehead.



“ You must be the royal pet. Ms tess has requested you” serena said.

“I don’t want to be the royal pet” Elizabeth said throwing down the royal bed sheets.

“It seems to me something is going on” Serena said looking at her curiously.

“there is nothing going on. Im just a servant that’s all” Elizabeth said as she used her powers to dry the bed sheets.

“yeah the servant who is the royal pet. You better move Ms tess is requesting you” Serena said. Elizabeth entering the royal chambers and seen Tess waiting for her.

Elizabeth this Elizabeth that. It seemed like Tess was making her do the most mindless things. Elizabeth was exhausted. She put new sheets on the bed and straightening them when she heard the door open. She looked up and seen Maxwell. He was bought to say something but Tess was sitting there watching them.

“ Well I see you father is good at picking servants. She is best one we have.” tess said smiling at Maxwell.

“Umm.. Yeah she is” Maxwell said nervously.

“Where have you been?” tess asked curiously.

“I…needed some air” Maxwell said. Elizabeth Was done with the bed And she bowed at Tess.

“Anything else Ms tess” She asked.

“ No be gone” Tess said. Elizabeth bowed and left the room.

“ You needed air for three hours?” tess said closing the door.

“ I don’t have to explain myself to you” Max said.

“ Whats with you? I ask you to make love to me. You practically want me and then out of the blue you push me away and run off. Whats going on?”tess asked.

“Nothing…I…just ..” Maxwell didn’t know what to say.

“Nervous? Is that it?” tess asked.

“ I’m just not feeling right now. Everything has been crazy. I need to breath” Maxwell said.

“Why didn you just tell me that I would of gave you some space” Tess said.

“ I was afraid to” Maxwell said.

“ Don’t be afraid to tell me anything” tess said wrapping her arms around his neck and kissing him softly.

Later that night -

Elizabeth was getting ready for bed. Each servant had there own little room. In the servant corridors. She was exhausted and tired. She was amazed that the servants had descent beds in the corridor. The bed was inviting. She was exhausted. She felt so alone. She wanted Maxwell’s strong arms around her. He wanted his soft touch on her body. She longed for his kiss. But she knew it was risky. She crawled into the bed and pulled the covers up over her. Suddenly she felt a soft touch on her arm. She turned over and There was Maxwell.

“Maxwell” She said softly.

“I had to see you” he said softly.

“tell me this is a dream” She said softly.

“it’s a dream” he said kissing her softly.

“Then it’s a really good dream” She said.

“ I want to make love to you” max said. Elizabeth sat up in her bed. She knew that couldn’t happen.

“It cant happen” she said softly.

“It can and it will” Maxwell said softly kissing her. Elizabeth didn’t pull away she wanted this more then anything. Maxwell slowly pulled down her night clothes exposing her beautiful body.

“Maxwell” Elizabeth said softly. He could feel heart racing. She was shaking from head to toe.

“Shhh…Let me touch you” Maxwell said. He softly kissed her neck and made his way down to her beautiful breast. He was nervous to touch her. She was shaking so bad. She moaned to his touch.

“If you don’t get up and head off to your choirs soon your going to be in serious trouble” Serena said through the door. Elizabeth quickly jumped up and got dressed.

“ Are you asking for a beating?” serena said pushing her down the hall.

“Sorry I didn’t get much sleep” Elizabeth said with smile.

“ Hurry” Serena said.


Elizabeth walked into the royal dinning room she smiled at Maxwell and their eyes locked. She didn’t realize what she was doing and dumped tess’s breakfast all over her. Tess Jumped up.

“What are you doing!” Tess said with mushy oatmeal substances all down the front of her.

“I’m so…sorry” Elizabeth said trying to clean it up.

“What is wrong with you?” She yelled. She glanced over at Maxwell and then looked down.’

“It was an accident” Elizabeth said.

“ you are so clumsy!” tess yelled.

“Tess it was an accident” Maxwell said.

“Why are you sticking up for her?” tess asked.

“ Why are you getting so angry?” Maxwell asked. Tess stomped off out into the hall. Elizabeth went back into the kitchen.

“Nice going” Serena said.


Elizabeth was busy in the hall straightening the flowers in all the vases. Maxwell casually walked passed her. He stopped and smiled.

“ I need you assistance for a moment” He said softly.

“ Yes How I can I help” She said as she followed him down the hall. They took a swift turn and Maxwell pulled her into one of the empty rooms.

“What are you doing?” Elizabeth asked.

“This” Maxwell said as he kissed her softly.

“Maxwell we cant do this” Elizabeth said.

“ I want to touch you like last night” Maxwell said as he kissed her,

“Ms tess will catch us” Elizabeth said as she wrapped her arms around him and kissed him.

“I don’t care” Maxwell said.


“Where is he?” Tess said walking down the hall. Michael noticed tess walking down the hall alone.

“Can Be of some assistance” Michael asked.

“ I cant seem to find Maxwell. Lately he has been disappearing. He wasn’t in our bed last night and Then he shows up at breakfast out of the blue and Now I havent seen him all day” tess said.

“ I think his father needs to have a talk with him” Michael said.

“ you know something don’t you?” tess asked.

“ I know nothing more then you do” Michael replied.

“ tell what I am doing wrong? Why does he not want me?” Tess said as she sat down on the bench.
“I cant tell you that.” Michael said.

“ What good are you then” Tess said.

“ I will talk to him again” Michael said.

“So you talked to him once before?” tess asked curiously.

“Its obvious Maxwell isn’t using his head. He is taking care of matters of the heart before the matters of affairs” Michael said as he walked off to find Maxwell.

Chapter 3

“You must care. If you care about me you will forget about me. I thought about this and you are risking your life and mine.” Elizabeth said.

“The we shared meant nothing to you then?” Maxwell asked. Elizabeth took a deep breath.

“It meant the world to me. And I would do it again but we cant. it’s a risk a risk I can not take any longer” Elizabeth said. Michael watched through the cracked door. What he waa he thinking? And he knew Elizabeth was doing the right thing.

“I don’t want to Marry tess. I want to merry you! I want you to be in my bed at night. I want to touch you and make love to you every night” Maxwell said.

“Please stop” Elizabeth said.

“Stop what? Loving you? Wanting to kiss you?” Maxwell said taking her hand in his.

“Exactly! Stop all this! Stop risking everything for your selfish needs!” Elizabeth said.

“So now I am selfish?” Maxwell said backing away.

“ yes you are. Your only thinking about yourself and what you want” Elizabeth said.

“Where is this coming from?” Maxwell asked.

“My heart. Go. Go back to tess tell her you love her make love to her every night and have her babies” Elizabeth said.

‘No you don’t mea that!” Maxwell said.

“I do. Its what they want you to do and its what you need to do. Forget about be! Your being foolish in choosing me! What we did meant the world to me but it was a mistake” Elizabeth said.

‘No” Maxwell said pleading with her.

“Go please and let me be” Elizabeth said.

“No I wont let you go” Maxwell said.

“Then I will go” Elizabeth said as she stormed off.

Michael hid in the shadows he was happy Elizabeth did what he asked her to do.
Early that day -


Michael seen Elizabeth out in the Garden picking flowers for the palace.

“Elizabeth the servant I presume?” he asked.

“Yes and you are?” Elizabeth asked.

“Michael second in command to Maxwell. Can we talk?” He walked down the path with Elizabeth. They talked for a while.

“So you know” Elizabeth said.

“ Do you realize this is him just being foolish . He needs to loyal to his family in order to be king. I need to you talk to him and tell him this means nothing to you or him” Michael said.

“Why would I do that? I love him. He means the world to me. And I know that he has responsibilities.” Elizabeth said.

“yes and they are to be with. He has to stay within the royal blood line. If The council found out about you And Maxwell gallivanting around then your life is at stake” Michael said.

“I understand” Elizabeth said.

“Talk to him then. Tell him” Michael said.


Present -


“No! Please don’t go!” Maxwell said grabbing her arm.

“Don’t you get it! don’t you understand you have duties to fill and responsibilities!” Elizabeth yelled.

“ I wont do something that I don’t want! I wont be in a loveless marriage when I love you!” Maxwell yelled.

“They will put me in prison and execute me! Do you want that? Do you want to see me die a public death because I had an affair with the kings son, the soon to be king! Why are you being so selfish!” Elizabeth was in tears. Maxwell leaned in to wipe her tears away but she pulled away.

“Im not the one you should be touching” Elizabeth said.

“Please don’t do this!”Maxwell yelled.

“I have to” Elizabeth said as she walked away.

The next day -

Maxwell knew something wrong. His father never requested him like this before. He stood in front of the royal throne his father was sitting on.

“Father” he said bowing.

“You have disgraced me” his father said.
“I have?” Maxwell asked.

“yes you have! And don’t act like you don’t know what I am talking about!” His father said with a stern look upon his face.

“ yes father” Maxwell said looking down.

“You have betrayed us! Sneaking off with a servant! Gallivanting around with a commoner and falling in love!” His father said.

“father..I..” His father stopped him before he had a chance to say anything.

“ You are not ready to be king. And its apparent by your actions. You had responsibilities to your family and to tess! What were you thinking!” His father yelled,’

“I was thinking that I could not love someone I have no feeling for” Maxwell said softly.

“ feelings are not issue! Tess has been chosen for you since birth! You have no choice! You are a foolish foolish boy!” His father said.

“Im sorry” Maxwell said.

“from now on you are no longer to see this commoner you had an affair with, She will banned and Executed. And you will stay on this palace and until further notice” His father said.

“Please father don’t execute her! Please im begging you! It was all my fault! You should punish me not her!” Maxwell said.

“You should both be punished. She will be thrown into the prison until her punshiment” His father said.

“Please father! I love her! If you kill her you will kill me!” Maxwell pleaded.

“Its done!” His father said.

“Please! Father throw her prison ban her from the palace and from me but please don’t kill her. I will marry tess, she will have babies by I will do my duty just don’t hurt Elizabeth” Maxwell said.

“Allright. As for your punishment You will have no memory of Elizabeth. I will erase , every thought, every moment every memory you have with Elizabeth” His father said. Maxwell looked up with tears in his eyes. He didn’t want this. But he had to take his punishment no matter what.

“I..will take my punishment” Maxwell said.

“Then so be it” he said. He waved his hand in the air and then placed it on maxwells forehead. It glowed a deep green. Then suddenly Maxwell feel backwards.

“Its done” his father said.

A few hours later -

Maxwell walked into the room and saw tess sitting out on the balcony. She turned to see Maxwell.

“Where have you all day?” she asked.

“I…I..was having a long talk with my father. And I realized that I havent been acting like myself. And I figured out that Its nerves. Im nervous about being your lover, husband and friend. “ Maxwell said taking her hand.

“ I understand” tess said. Maxwell softly brushed a kiss on her lips.

Several months earlier -

“You bastarrd! You put my head on the chopping block!” Elizabeth yelled at Michael through the prison cell bars.

Tess Knew something was bothering Maxwell. He hadn’t touched her in two nights. And when she tried to get close to him he would pull away. She was getting annoyed.

“I..couldn’t sleep. And what would someone like you being doing out here?” Elizabeth asked.

“ I don’t know” Maxwell said softly.

“How can you not know” Elizabeth asked. He looked up into her eyes and suddenly she felt that connection she had missed all these months.
“ I really don’t know” Maxwell said.

“Well it has to be something” Elizabeth said. She didn’t know where this was going but she knew it wouldn’t be good. Maxwell looked into her eyes. Suddenly he felt different. Her voice made him feel calm and made him feel better. For some reason he had this urge to touch this young women he barely knew.

“Why do I feel like we’ve met before?” Maxwell asked.

Chapter 5

It had been weeks since Maxwell and tess had spoken. Tess wouldn’t even look at him. And Maxwell didn’t seem to care.

“Maxwell” Michael said as they walked down the great hall.

“I don’t want to hear it” Maxwell said.

“Whats is going on with you tess?” Michael asked.

“It doesn’t concern you” Maxwell replied.

“your father is very upset. Tess’s parents are worried” Michael said.

“Let them worry I no longer care!” Maxwell said. Michael was getting concerned.

“ why the sudden change? You two have been like jointed together all this time. Tess never left your side. And now you two barely speak. This isn’t good at all Maxwell” Michael said.

“ I don’t care! I don’t care about tess! I have no feelings for her!” Maxwell yelled.

“Where is this coming from Maxwell? You know what has to be done. You know tess carry and bare your child soon” Michael replied.

“I cant go on pretending anymore. I cant pretend I love someone when I don’t.” Maxwell replied.

“You must . You have no choice. You will be king and she will be queen and you have no say in the matter” Michael replied. Michael knew what was going to be said next.

“did you have a choice when you were with my sister?” Maxwell asked.

“This isn’t about me” Michael replied.


“Isabel left because she forced to be with someone did not want to be. I don’t want to be like that.” Maxwell said.

Elizabeth was exhausted and tired. She could barely walk. She held her stomach in pain. She was almost home and she was hoping to get there before she collapsed. She leaned against a tree trying to breath. She screamed in pain.

Suddenly Maxwell felt something. He started seeing this in his mind. He turned to Michael and he knew something was wrong.

“Whats wrong?” He asked helping Maxwell. He looked like he was about to faint.

“She needs my help” Maxwell said.

“Who?” Michael asked.

“The pregnant girl from…the woods she is having her baby” Maxwell said trying to breath.\

“Oh no” Michael said.

“I don’t understand why I….have a connection to her” Maxwell said taking a deep breaths.

“ I must find her she is in trouble” Michael said. Maxwell stopped him.

“She…needs me” Maxwell said they both hurried to the woods.

They finally made it to the woods and they found Elizabeth passed out on the ground. She was barerly moving.

“Is she ok” Maxwell asked.

“She has passed out from the pain”

“You know her don’t you” Maxwell asked.

“ I will explain everything later we need to get her inside” Michael said as Maxwell helped him carry her inside the little hut.

Several hours later -

“he is beautiful” Michael said holding the little baby boy in his arms.

“I don’t understand all this” Maxwell said confused and trying to process everything.

“We have to do something. The council will soon find out about this” Michael replied.

“ what does she or this baby have to do with the council?” Maxwell asked.

“ Maxwell I need you to do something, or rather I need to do something to you. I don’t know if it will work” Michael replied.

“Whats going on? You havent explained anything to me” Maxwell said.

“I will explain everything shut close your eyes and let me see if this works” Michael replied. Michael sat the baby down in the little bed next to Elizabeth. Michael used his powers to probe into Maxwell’s brain. He was hoping he could the memories to restore themselves. But his powers were useless.

“dam it” Michael said.

“What?” Maxwell asked.

“My powers are useless against your fathers” Michael said. Elizabeth suddenly stirred. Maxwell watched her. She looked so beautiful asleep on the bed. For some reason he just wanted to touch her and he didn’t know why.

“What does my father have to do with all this?” Maxwell asked.

“He took your memories away” Michael said softly.


Back at the palace -

“ Where has he disappeared to now” Maxwell’s mother asked.

“Michael has disappeared to” His father said.

“ There is something going on. The council is on edge and Tess Maxwell barely speak” his mother replied.

“ Send the royal guards out” His father replied.


Back in the woods -

“We have to go the royal guards are looking for you” Michael said.

“I want answers” Maxwell asked. Suddenly Elizabeth stirred again. Her eye lids slowly fluttered open.

“Michael?” She said softly.

“Go back to sleep. Everything is fine. The baby is fine healthy as his mommy” Michael said. Elizabeth was so tired she could barely see. She looked over and knew who else was in the room.

“Maxwell? What…are you doing here?” Elizabeth said.

“ Look I will explain everything later We must go Maxwell” Michael said.

“Wait! I ….want Maxwell to stay with me” Elizabeth said.

‘Fine it would be for the best” Michael he was hoping he could come up with some kind of excuse as to where Maxwell is when he gets to the palace.

“Where is Maxwell?” he asked.

“Well he…had important business to take of. He just took off he didn’t say what it pretained to he said he would be back as soon as possible” Michael said.

“ The council senses something is going on” maxwells father replied.

“ Im sure its nothing . I don’t think anyone needs to worry” Michael said.

“When the council is on edge there is means for worry” he said.

Back in the woods -

“Sit down” Elizabeth said softly as she tried to move. She was still a little sore.

“Don’t move you need rest” Maxwell said trying to comfort her.

“ Zan needs you” Elizabeth said. Maxwell looked over at the sleeping child. Why did he feel so connected to both of them? He went over to the child. The child stirred a little and whimpered. He slowly picked up the child. The child cooed in his arms and gave him a tiny smile. Suddenly Maxwell was starting to see things. It was…more like memories.

“ He is your son” Elizabeth said.

“ I remember now” Maxwell said smiling at the beautiful child.

“ you remember?” Elizabeth said as tears ran down her face.

Anger fueled in her. Jealousy raged through her. Then suddenly she heard a faint cry of a child. She looked on, and seen Maxwell holding a child. She listen on as they spoke. Was her ears lying? Was this…child really….no it couldn’t be she thought as she listened on.


“ Are you sure no one followed you here?” Elizabeth asked as she took the sleeping child from him and laid it in the makeshift crib.

“Im sure, but I have to be careful tess could be on to us” Maxwell said as he took her into his arms and held her. Tess watched in shock and horror . She sat there and watched her husband kissing another one. She could see the loved between them and it wasn’t the love he had for her. Suddenly she found herself running. She tripped about half way to the palace. She just sat there crying . She looked up and seen her mother coming towards.

“tess my child what is wrong?” She asked her as she helped her up.

“ I….got lost in the woods and I panic. I was…soo..scared” That was a lie.

“Child the woods is no place in the dark what were you doing out there?” She asked.

“ I…was taking a walk” That was another lie

“child come inside get cleaned up” She said helping tess. Tess cleaned herself up and laid in bed. She couldn’t sleep finally she heard the door creep open and max walk in. She laid still like she was still asleep as he laid in bed beside her. It took every inch of her being not to hurt him. She knew what she had to do. She slowly finally drifted to sleep planning and plotting what she was going to do.

“Don’t move you need rest” Maxwell said trying to comfort her.

“ Zan needs you” Elizabeth said. Maxwell looked over at the sleeping child. Why did he feel so connected to both of them? He went over to the child. The child stirred a little and whimpered. He slowly picked up the child. The child cooed in his arms and gave him a tiny smile. Suddenly Maxwell was starting to see things. It was…more like memories.

“ He is your son” Elizabeth said.

“ I remember now” Maxwell said smiling at the beautiful child.

“ you remember?” Elizabeth said as tears ran down her face.

“ Oh god I made a huge mistake. What have I done” Maxwell said as he laid the child down.

“your father took your memory away” Elizabeth said.

“Why?” Maxwell said confused and angry.

“ How dare he! I remember everything now. Max slowly put the child down in its bed and sat next to Elizabeth on her bed.

“Im so sorry! I missed you soo much” He held her taking in her smell, the softness of her skin. He didn’t want to let her go. He needed her now.

“ I have to go soon or everyone will worry” he said.

“No please stay.” She said pulling him back on the bed as he was trying to get up. She pulled him closer and passionately kissed him. She wrapped her arms around his neck and forced the kiss harder. “I will be back. If I don’t leave now I wont beable to control myself” Maxwell said.

“I will” he said as he quickly left.

Later on -

“ Finally! Maxwell your father is worried I had to lie” Michael said.

“ I remember everything now” Maxwell said.

“What? How?” Michael asked.

“It doesn’t matter right now We have to play it safe because if tess finds out…” Michael stopped him when he realized tess was standing there.

“If I find out what? Whats going on?” tess asked curiously.

“Nothing “ Maxwell said as he walked away. Tess followed him down the hall.

“I demand answers! Im your wife what are you hidding from me” tess asked.

“Why must you do this now? Its something I have to take care of with Michael its important royal business” Maxwell said.

“ We have grown so far apart Maxwell. We don’t even sleep in the same bed anymore you’ve been so distant from me” tess said.

“Im sorry I..just going through something right now” Maxwell said.

“fine” tess said as she quickly left. Tess Knew something was going on, She knew there was something someone wasn’t telling her. She had to find out what was going on, Maxwell was hidding something and she was determined to find out what it was.

Later that night -

Tess has followed Maxwell out into the woods. She watched from a distance. She seen him enter the little cottage. She seen the girl. She seen him kissing her, and…touching her…the way he touched her. Anger fueled in her. Jealousy raged through her. Then suddenly she heard a faint cry of a child. She looked on, and seen Maxwell holding a child. She listen on as they spoke. Was her ears lying? Was this…child really….no it couldn’t be she thought as she listened on.


“ Are you sure no one followed you here?” Elizabeth asked as she took the sleeping child from him and laid it in the makeshift crib.

“Im sure, but I have to be careful tess could be on to us” Maxwell said as he took her into his arms and held her. Tess watched in shock and horror . She sat there and watched her husband kissing another one. She could see the loved between them and it wasn’t the love he had for her. Suddenly she found herself running. She tripped about half way to the palace. She just sat there crying . She looked up and seen her mother coming towards.

“tess my child what is wrong?” She asked her as she helped her up.

“ I….got lost in the woods and I panic. I was…soo..scared” That was a lie.

“Child the woods is no place in the dark what were you doing out there?” She asked.

“ I…was taking a walk” That was another lie

“child come inside get cleaned up” She said helping tess. Tess cleaned herself up and laid in bed. She couldn’t sleep finally she heard the door creep open and max walk in. She laid still like she was still asleep as he laid in bed beside her. It took every inch of her being not to hurt him. She knew what she had to do. She slowly finally drifted to sleep planning and plotting what she was going to do.
