summary- this is kinda after max in the city> Liz saved max and after the whole bedroom scene at the very end liz starts getting her powers only there a lot stronger the the pods squads power--put together-- Tess isn't evil and nasado never existed. And the powers Liz gets aren't alien she juss thinks they are,and im putting this at the beginning of school time not right before Christmas sorry if this confuses anyone!

ch 1

the black obliviation of sleep was shattered by the latest pop sensation blaring out of liz parkers radio alarm clock. I pounded blindly on my night stand until the music stopped. I would have gone back to sleep but the light was blinding me and i felt someone watching me.I opened my eyes and looked around not seeing anyone. I casted out my senses, a power that i quickly mastered after my powers appeared, and felt someone outside my window. My first thought was of Max but after the way he was giving me the cold shoulder at school I quickly eliminated him as the person outside my window. The presence was a familiar one- one that i recognize. I didn't use my astral projected for fear that is was someone who would tell my secret. I could feel there eyes on me and knew that the moment I got up the would leave. I casted my senses out even further and tried to get in there head to find there memory's. Whoever it was spent a lot of time putting up mental blocks and by the time i broke through i was in a sweat but i made it and instantly I was hit by waves of emotion-hate towards me, fake love towards max, and real love to a secret person whose name was blocked even from me, sadness and pain and it all hit me like a tidal wave. Then the memories came crashing down on me, but I didn't need the memory's to tell me it was Tess. The memory's were mainly of her life in Roswell, the first time she saw max, the first time she saw me and max together, there were even random flashes of me alone studying at the crashdown. I quickly ended the intrusion and pulled myself outta Tess's head. I got up and acted as if I knew nothing grabbed a pink tank-top the new Destroyed Denim jeans that i bought and headed to the bathroom. By the time I got out of the shower fixed my hair and makeup and got out of the bathroom Tess was gone and I could feel the pod squad along with Tess were down stairs at the crashdown, Maria and Alex were there too.

I was headed to the counter to my dad when I heard a cat whistle. I turned around and was that Kyle had just walked in the door. I smiled knowing that Kyle was just playing, any other guy and I would have been pissed. Ever since my little alien power wake up call my whole attitude and wardrobe changed.

"Dad I was wondering If I could take the week end off and take a road trip with Maria? PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE?" I put on my puppy dog face "How could I resist 'the look'? yeah you can go but be home by Sunday night" he told me "thank ya thank ya!!" I practically skipped over to the table where the pod squad, Maria aand Alex sat. My cheerful mood was abruptly stopped when Max gave me a look that said it all. How much I hurt him and him wondering how I could be happy after what happened. "Maria can I talk to you alone?" I asked. I need to tell her what was going on and ask her a favor. Alex already knew about my powers hen he walked in on me trying to control them. Alex was absolutely amazed and promised not to tell anyone. He already knew my plan's about the weekend road trip. Maria looked around the table and saw the killer looks that Max was sending my way. "sure babe" she said as she got up. "We can go talk about in the back." I told her as I headed in the direction.

When we got in the back Maria started to freak out. "OMG! What's going on??" She cried. "Ok well first I need you to calm down and be quite because chances are that the pod squad is trying to found out what we're talking about." I whispered. "OK OK I'm calm. I'm chilled. I'm quite." She whispered. "OK..Maria...I have powers" I told her. Maria's mouth dropped to the floor and her eyes bulged out of her sockets."WHAT!!!!??" She screamed. I quickly placed my hand over her mouth and teleported us to my room. "OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG!!" She repeated over and over. "Maria you need to shut up!!!!" I told her. " You and me ---downstairs---your room--" She stopped making complete sentences. She was in shock. "Its one of my powers...I can teleport...along with a lot of other things." I explained to her slowly.

"Did you hear that?" Isabell asked, looking to the back room where Liz and Maria had gone no more then 5 minutes ago. "Hear what?" Michael grunted, chowing down on a burger. "Maria screamed like she was amazed and freaked out at the same time." Isabell continued. "Iz, Maria screams if Liz makes a C on a paper or something" Max told her yea. "Yea you know how Maria has to make a major situation about everything." Michael reassured her."yea I guess your right. Alex do you have any Idea about what's going on?" She asked him."No idea."He said, looking down at his plate of food. "If you have 'No idea' why can't you look me in the eyes?" SHe questioned him. Now Michael, Max and Tess, who had been quite the whole time, were staring at Alex. "Look, even if I did know something, which I don't then I wouldn't tell you guys anyways. Especially the way Max is treating her." With that Alex stood up and headed to Liz's room. "You think he know something?" Michael asked, suddenly very interested in the situation. "Oh he definitely knows something" Isabell stated."Who cares anyways, what's so interesting that can happen to Liz Parker." Max told them

Ch 2

*knock-knock*"OMG OMG!! What if someone heard me??OMG!!! What if everyone knows now??Its all my fault!!" Maria whispered in a panic. "How about we see who it is and what they want before we panic.OK?" Liz said as she headed to her door. I unlocked the door and opened it a crack. "Hey its me!!" Alex said. I opened the door wider to let him in. I looked over to Maria and saw panic written all over her face. If there was one person other then me she couldn't lie to lit was Alex. "Don't worry he knows" I reassured her. Her look of panic was quickly replaced by confusion then a little bit of anger. "How come he knew before me?" She pouted. "How come you knew about the pod squad before me?" Alex replied.Maria smiled and stared laughing. "OK I knew something before you and know you knew something before me. We're even now." Maria joked. "So howed she tell you?" She continued."Ha! She didn't! I walked in here one day because she asked me to come over to do that project we worked on together and I came 30 minutes early and walked in on here using her powers" Alex told her. "Well now that you both know I need to ask you a favor." I stated. "Go on." Alex ushered. "Well I have barely any control over my powers, and that's really dangerous. I could accidentally use them in the diner and then everyone would know. Secrets out and the pod squad including me are thrown into a white room." I started. "There in lies the favor." Maria said. "Correct I want you guys to help me train my powers." I finished. "How do we do that?" Alex asked. "Come out to the desert and put up target, cover for me in case i lose track of time and have to give a bogus story to my parents, keep the pod squad out of the picture stuff like that." I tole them. "Don't you think you should tell them? I mean if anyone understands your powers it would be them." Maria put in. "Well it would but with the whole max thing I think its just best if we leave them out of it." I admitted. "What are you powers anyways?" Alex asked.

"So what do you think Alex knows?" Michael wondered. "I have no clue but it must be something big." She answered. Max and Tess had left a few minutes earlier. "Well lets go find out." Michael said standing up. "You go ahead and do it your way I'm gonna go home and wait for Liz to fall asleep so I can work my magic." Isabell proclaimed as she head to the door. "Alright I'll call you if I learn anything." Micheal told her.

" Well I can do alot of things. I can astral project myself." "That mean become like two people right?" Maria cut in. "Yea basically. I can teleport, i can make fire come out of body." "Like that fire dude off of fantastic four?" Alex interrupted." Yes like the fire guy. I have telekinesis and I heal almost instantly, I can shoot energy balls, and i have force fields, and a lot more that i don't even know what to call."

ch 3

"This is going to be SO awesome!!!" Maria squealed. "So..I'm not a freak?" I asked them quietly. "*gasp* Of course not hun!! No matter what, you could never be a freak!! Don't think that!!" Maria reassured. "Yea, Parker your just an average girl with...not so average powers." Alex joked. "Thanks guys." I smiled. "Any time babe!! SO. I couldn't help but over-hear that you asked your dad if me and you could go on a road trip..so what's that about?" Maria questioned. "Well I want to go somewhere, anywhere, and learn more about my powers." I told her. "OH! And I'm not invited?" Alex whined, jokingly. " Nooo you are SO not allowed to go" I said sarcastically. "Ha ha! your just oh so funny!" Alex said, sarcasm oozing out of his mouth. "I know." I replied with a smile.

"So chika, where to?" Maria asked as we walked back down to the diner. " I don't know. It has to be a place out of the way that way I can use my powers and not be seen." I thought out loud. "We need to make up a code word for powers, you know, like we did for the pod people." Maria implied. "What about....report? Like 'hey Liz how is you report going?' You get it?" Alex suggested. "It does make sense, seeing as Liz is always doing some kind of school thing. What do you think, Liz?" Maria agreed. "Yea I like it." We just walked through the door into the diner when I saw Micheal sitting by himself, staring at me. "I wonder where the rest of the pod squad went." I thought out load. "Who knows, who cares, Im gonna go sit with space boy." Maria declared. "I'll go with you." Alex said. "What about you, Liz?" Alex ended. I looked around and saw that Kyle was still here. "No you guys go ahead Im gonna go talk to Kyle." I told them. " Does Kyle know about your..report?" Maria whispered. "Yea I told him..He was first to know." I responded. "Why?" Alex wondered. "Well I got these powers from Max healing me and well Max healed Kyle too, I just thought he should know whats gonna happen to him in the near future." I told them. "Ok well I'll try to think of a place we can go" Alex said. With that they went over to Micheal and I headed over to Kyle.

Chapter 4

"Hey home boi.." I said in approaching. "Well if it isn't my..gifted..friend little miss. Liz Parker." Kyle joked. "What's on the radar today?" I asked him "Nothing yet. No freaky... weirdness..yet." Kyle told me. "Well He did heal me almost a year before he healed you." I reassured him. "Liz I have something to tell you but not here. Meet me tonight at my place ok?" He announced. "Ok...What's wrong." I asked. "Nothing I just have a thought but I'd be more comfortable without all these people around." He said getting up. "Ok Oh I should probably tell you that I told Maria and Alex." I told him "OK..well meet me tonight at 7 ok?" He continued. "Ok hey! Im going on a road trip to work...my stuff. Wanna come?" I asked him. "Yea I think I know where we should go." With that he left.

' I wonder whats goin on with Kyle. He was acting sooo strange. He seemed almost...worried. But I mean, I would to if all I could do would be to wait for something alien to happen to me.' My thought were interrupted my the the little bell over the door ringing signaling someone going in or out. I looked up and saw that Alex and Maria were leaving with Michael. And Tess was walking in. She walked over to me and sat in front of me.

"what's going on with you Liz parker?" She came right out. "What are you talking about?" I never really had a problem with Tess. At first I thought she was out to take Max away from me and at first she was and when the whole destiny thing happened I thought she wold push him but surprisingly she didn't. I think she has a little thing for kyle. But after future Max told me that stuff maybe she did have a thing for Max. Well now she could have him. "Liz..Im not human." She stated. "SO what?" "Thats means Im not stupid. So don't play me for a moron. I feel it. Your power.I know its there and I know you know about it."

"Honestly I really don't know what your talking about Tess..maybe you got your sonar mixed up or something." I told her looking her right in the eyes. She looked into my eyes hard, searching. "Liz, I may not be your best friend but I know what its like to be different and to not know whats going on in your head. Your constantly afraid something going to happen and your powers are gonna take control for themselves in front of a lot of people. Trying to control them..I can help you."

"So whats going on with parker?" Michael asked Alex. "Nothing much." He said with a shrug. "Shes just trying to get over another Max thing. You of all people should know how that goes Space Boi." Maria retorted. "Yea Max has been acting pretty strange. But I don't Know..I feel somthing in the air..something new. Has Liz said anything to you about something weird going on?" Alex and Maria looked at each other then back to Michael. "Not a thing." They said at the same time. Michael looked in Maria's eyes for a few minutes. "Your lying..you know exactly whats going on." He intimidated. "Hey I wonder what Tess needs with liz" Alex stated trying to break it up, knowing that Maria might spill. "I have know clue lets go tho my mom needed me to run errands today. Bye Michael!!" Maria yelled over her shoulder in a rush to get out the door. "Not a clue huh?" Michael asked now fixed on Alex "HEY!! Maria do you need help?" He asked running out the door.

"I wonder what that was about." I said looking at the door where Alex and Maria ran out. "Quit trying to change the subject." Tess interrupted. I casted out my senses on Tess. I felt sincerity and....love?? for someone I couldn't tell who. I pulled my senses back and looked at Tess who was oblivious of the intrusion that had just happened. "Ok just...not here upstairs." I whispered looking around the diner and seeing Michael eye balling me. tess, seeing him to, got up and lead the way upstairs.

"So..Fess up." Tess demanded. "Wow of all people I thought you would be the last to know. Or never." I confessed to her. 'Well I won't be the last. Isabell and Michael are out to find out and Max..well Max is still just hurt." Tess told her

"Yea well I really don't want Max to find out. Ever."
"Sooo what can you do? Mind-Warp, Dream walk, force fields, energy blasts?" Tess asked. "Ummm wow sorry your the first member of the pod squad Im gonna tell. Well I can shoot energy balls and I have force fields."
"Oh so just little things. Ok " Tess cut in. "You didn't let me finish. I can astral project, i heal almost instantly, i have telekinesis, and I can make fire come out of hands. I have others but I have no clue what to call them " I looked at Tess and saw the shock on her face. I was already used to it from when I told Kyle, Maria, and Alex.
"Liz..you have some powers that are alien but some of the powers you have none of us have." Tess said. "So what are you saying?" I asked her, worried. "Well I mean Max did heal you so you are changing but I would have never thought that you would be stronger then us. You have more powers then Max and hes the KING!!" Tess shouted in excitement. She started pacing the room, lost in thought. "I think you should tell the rest of them. We need to figure out whats going on with you." Tess said. I jumped up off of my bed and grabbed Tess by the shoulders."NO I repeat NO!! I do not want them to know ok? So promise me that you won't tell them! OK?" Tess looked in to my eyes. "OK. I won't tell them. but I think you should but If you don't want me to then theres nothing I can do about it." She relented. "Ok I have to go. Kyle has something to tell me so I'll see you later."
