A/N: A friend told me to write were I got the idea for this stroy from so there wouldn't be any misunderstandings. I got this idea from a book I read call Looking for Trouble by Julie Elizabeth Leto. It's the same idea but I plan to branch out into a totally different story line.
Chapter 1:
Liz Parker sat down in the waiting room of Lavander Rose, excitement running through her. She had arrived at the multifarious office for flower arrangements thirty minutes ago to apply for the secretary position. Try as she might to concentrate on the application that would soon make her a part of the Lavander Rose staff she couldn't keep her mind off the book in her purse. Trying to tamp down the urge to look in her purse and take out the book, she focused on the beautifully decorated receptions area. The walls were painted an inviting pastel green, giving off a sense of warmth and comfort. An assortment of colorful flowers sat on the polished mahogany coffee table next to a crystal bowl of indescriminate chocolates. A much larger mahogany desk, equally beautiful and polished was in the back of the room next to a door leading to the offices in the back. Liz bit her lip and stared at the desk hoping that it soon would have her nameplate on it.
"So, how we doing Liz?"
Isabel Whitman owner of Lavander Rose asked coming out of the closed door. She had a warm mug of coffee in one hand, a cellphone tucked in her ear, and a handful of papers in the other. Liz had taken a quick liking to the beautiful blond woman and her hyper friend Maria Deluca co-owner of Lavander. She was immediatly impressed by both women and couldn't wait to learn from them. The first thing she wanted to learn was the art of multitasking. She watched on amused as Isabel talked to a client, highlighted important information on the papers in her hand and drank coffee all at the same time. She looked up at Liz apologetically but Liz waved her hand as if to say, "Don't worry about me." Isabel smiled gratefully and continued to talk to her client.
By the time Liz finished writing in her new address, phone number, social security, and other personal information; Isabel had gone through the door to the back offices again leaving Liz by herself in the reception area. Liz tried to remain focused on acing her interview, the final step in her climb towards total independence. But, the stillness of the room and the soft country music filtering into the room made Liz emend that plan. First, she was going to take a look at her book. Then, she'd complete the process for her job. Afterward she'd be off to the manhattan mall and get a new change of wardrobe, even before she went to meet her new landlord and moved into her apartment. If she intended to change her persona of a shy mousy girl she was going to need hipper clothes. .
She grinned, satisfied with her plan. If there was one talent Liz was proud of, it was her knack for planning and organizing. She set her goals and dealt with them one at a time. She never jumbled her thoughts like some people did and never got anything done. Once Liz decided what she wanted, she rarely changed her mind. And right now she wanted to check out her new book.
Glancing around to make sure she was completely alone, Liz opened her purse and took out a red leatherbound book that had caught her eye at Barnes & Nobles this morning. Liz hadn't even looked at the title or inside the book for that matter. It was like a compulsion. She was immediatly drawn to the book and couldn't help but buy it. Now that she had a chance to look at it more closely she noticed it didn't even have a title etched on the hard leather cover. Looking around once more, Liz slowly opened the book to the front page finding the title. Fulfilling your Fantasies: Sex games and Wild Adventures for Uninhibited Lovers.
Yowza! Liz had heard about this book. In fact she had caught a glimpse of it when she was searching for books on the internet at home, she didn't find out more about it because her grandmother was in the house. Though twenty-five years old, Liz avoided any predicament that made it palpable that she was a carnal , tactile woman. At least around her grandmother. Long before she'd hit puberty Liz knew the importance of avoiding conflicts on this account. She knew why her grandmother always steered clear of any topic of sex around her grandaughter. She'd raised Liz's mother the best way she could, only to have her become the town whore, get pregnant at sixteen with twins, abandon her two daughters on her doorstep, then go back to her drug using boyfriend that eventually got her to overdose. No wonder her grandma was so austere.
Liz had survived her grandma's overprotectiveness by being the good girl and having her secret curiosities for late at night in the confines of her bedroom. She hardly dated, but when she did it was always with the nerdy boys from her school that her grandma always nudged her to. Bad boys were bad news. Heck, some of the nerdy boys weren't rays of sunshine either. Liz knew where she had strengths and were she was lacking. And unfourtunately with boys she was definitly lacking.
Well, that was all about to change. This was a new place. A big city where she could meet new people and learn new things. Liz always thought she was a good judge of character, though living in the small town of Roswell was nothing compared to living in a the big city. There was so much diversity and diversification wherever she looked.
Liz came to the city for a two reasons. First, to find her twin sister Serena who ran away from home when they were younger without so much as a goodbye to Liz. Second, Liz wanted to find herself. The real Liz. The unimpeded Liz. The Liz she couldn't be under the watchful eye of her amatory yet over-bearing grandmother. The Liz she truly wanted to spend the rest of her life with. Liz looked down at her book and flipped to the first page. It had instructions written.
Start with number one and work your way up to number one hundred, or just choose one that sparks your interest. Lend your partner the book and let them choose what fantasy you'll play together. Or suprise your partner by picking a fantasy on your own. Live and love. Fulfill your wildest fantasies. You'll be satisfied when you do.
It was titled: 1) How Wet can you Get?. Under the title were step by step directions on how to go about playing this sexual fantasy. Liz skimmed through the steps her face heating up at the image of playing with herself in the bathtub while someone watched. Quickly turning a couple of pages Liz came across 7) Be my Master. She skimmed through these steps too not wanting to be caught reading such a racy book. Liz never thought of playing the role of a sex slave, where you were tied up while your lover had complete control over you. She continued to flip through the pages stopping when a particular title caught her eye.
Hearing movement from outside the door, Liz quickly put her book back in her purse. She'd read the book more thoroughly after her interview. Isabel appeared at the doorway smiling for successfully selling a lrge amount of flowers to a wedding planner. She beckoned Liz to her office. Liz picked up her purse patted it lovingly and stood up to follow Isabel.
~~~
Liz sat in her car with the book open on her lap. She couldn't keep the smile from her face. She was officially the new stenographer for Lavander Rose- the fanciest name for a receptionist she'd ever heard. She flipped to a page in the book. 45) Nighttime Strangers. Liz's smile widened. Cool.
She wriggled in her seat and looked out her windshield to make sure no one in the parking lot could spy through her tinted windows and turn her over to the morality police. Good girls didn't read sexual fantisies in her car. But Liz was done being a good girl. She started reading and couldn't believe her luck. She'd just arrived in New York- hadn't even unpacked any of her mere belongings from the back of her toyota. New in town and brimming to transform herself, this fantasy was right up her good girl-to-bold sensual woman alley.
Step 1: Find a stranger who excites you.
Hmm. Okay. This wasn't going to be as easy as she thought. She hasn't been in the city for more than two hours. Not enough time to meet hardly anyone let alone men. Well, she'd deal with that later. Looking around again to make sure the parking lot was still empty, she went back to her book.
Picking up strangers isn't a clever activity, but there's no harm in a little careful flirting. Is your partner around? Smile a little more at a sranger, talk with more vigor . . . does that make him or her jealous? Jealousy can be a very cogent aphrodisiac.
Liz frowned. She didn't have a partner around. This wasn't turning out to be like she thought at all. Not wanting to be dismayed she continued reading. Maybe she could apply it somehow to her current situation.
Your partner not around? That's okay. Flirting with a stranger will kick up your juices. Pump you up for when your lover comes back. Be outrageous, bold. And make sure your warm-up target doesn't follow you home!
Liz sighed. Well that wasn't so bad. Not that she was particulary good at flirting. Flirting usually led to dating and Liz hadn't really done much of those. It was always hard to convince her grandmother that a movie with a nice boy who's parents hadn't been approved by her wasn't a big deal. Liz was very capable of taking care of herself even with her obstinate upbringing. She smiled. Things were about to change.
Shutting her book she put it back in her purse and got out of her car. First, she needed a change of wardrobe then she was off to her new apartment. Once she was settled she was going to find a nice stranger she can be naughty with.
