"Max!" I yelled as I fought to get my horse under control; she was spooking, rearing, and prancing. Once I had managed to get her settled down, I jumped off and ran over to him.

"Max!" I yelled desperately, dropping to my knees. "Max, can you hear me?" I bent over him to shield his body from the rain. "Max!" I yelled again.

Jim:

I went outside to the back to see if they were comming... and I saw Liz yelling for help... WIthout a question I ran out to them and saw Max laying on the ground passed out--"WHAT HAPPENED?" I shouted over the storm, but then I picked him and started to carry him inside--Liz was trying to get the horses together. "Forget about them...just come inside!! Where is everyone else?" I continued to shout as I tried not to drop him from my grasp.

Amy:

"JIM What is it?" I shouted..then I saw Count Maxwell..."OMG>>is he alright? Liz are you alright--C'mon get inside..." I told them. "JIm lay him down infront of the fire for right now." I put a blanket around Liz. "Are you okay sweetie?"

Isabel

I reached home several minutes ahead of the others and I thanked my stars that I had gotten a head start.

When I entered the palace my Aunt and Unlce were frantic and I explained that the rest were on their way.I was about to go upstairs when Aunt Amy said that there was a letter waiting for me in the living room,from my mother.

I ran there eagerly and ripped it open-

My Dear Isabel,

I hope you had a comfortable journey.You must be surprised that I'm writing to you so soon after your departure.I have my reasons.

Soon after you left yesterday,the door bell rang and I got the shock of my life when I saw who walked into the living room.

It was Victor!!!!!

I thought I was seeing things.Isabel he wanted to meet you,but I told him you were gone and would not be back for a long time.I also warned him to stay away from you after the way he hurt you.

He said that he had come to correct his mistakes.His wife died shortly after they were married.I did not tell him where you are but I am sure with his contacts he may as well have guessed by now.

Do not be shocked if he is at one of the balls thrown for your debut.Take care my little girl.

I sat down in dis-belief.this could not be happening.Not after all this time,not after I had taken so long to forget him.

I raced into the courtyard just in the nick of time.The rain was just about to come pouring down.

I helped Tess off the horse and ran inside with her.Max was lying there hurt in the foyer.

"Oh my God!!What happened?" I asked frantically as I knelt by him

What? What was wrong with trying to find out what Isabel was upto...
Ok, so asking to marry was a bit over the top, but come on! She's lying to me!
The rain starts to come down really heavily. Michael's valently waiting for me so I grab the horse from him and we set back to the house.
We quickly arrive back.
We rush through the doors to find everyone panicking. "What's going on?" I ask.

Isabel had left without me. I hated myself right now. This is all my fault. It had to be my fault, didn't it?
I've been sitting watching everyone else leave. I hear them call out to me vaguely, but I don't care. I don't care anymore. Eventually after Maria and Michael had left I got back on my horse and made him plod back towards the mansion.
I was getting soaked, but I just didn't care. I bet no one had even noticed I wasn't with them. And the only one who I wanted to notice is avoiding me.
I hate myself. I hate it all.

My mind was a whirl of emotions,I didn't know what to think,but then I heard the commotion in the foyer and pushed my problems to the back of my mind and ran there.

"Oh no!What happened?" I asked upon seeing Max

Kyle

"Get some clean wash cloths" I yelled at the butler "and get some of the stable boys in here,we can carry him into the guest bed-room." I ordered

"Maria,tell the maid to make some strong coffee for everyone." I said trying to keep calm

"Right!" I quickly answer. I run into the kitchen and ask the maid to get us some strong coffee.
I then quickly return to the others. Poor Max! What happened? Poor guy!

"I don't think it's serious,he must have just had the wind knocked out of him" I tell the others reassuringly

As if on cue Max started coming around,"Hey there Buddy...you gave us all a fright." I said quietly.

He tried to say something but Amy told him not to speak and then she ordered us all out of the room.

"Oh well he awake,that's a good sign" I said trying to lighten the mood "Let's all freshen up and then we can go back and see him." I suggested

We were all heading up the stairs when I realised that Alex was no where to be seen,"Where is Alex?" I asked the others worriedly
