I wake up feeling movement next to me,sensitive to the slightest disturbance since I don't usually share my bed with anyone.Rolling over to feel for Alex I fidn the bed empty but still warm.Bleary eyed I look around my room and find him looking out the window.

"Alex? What's wrong? Come back to bed."

Alex

"Alex? What's wrong? Come back to bed."

Even though Isabel's voice caught me by surpise, I couldn't help but smile. "I could certainly get used to commands like that, Ms. Evans."

I tell her with a grin as I slowly move over to her side of the bed, crouching down slightly and stroking her cheek gently. "I'm sorry that I woke you. I .... couldn't sleep anymore and didn't want to wake you with my tossing and turning around."

Isabel

He turns around in surprise,"I could certainly get used to commands like that, Ms. Evans."

I grin at him sleepily,"I'm sure you could."

"I'm sorry that I woke you. I .... couldn't sleep anymore and didn't want to wake you with my tossing and turning around."

Looking at the bedside clock I see it's nearly 5am so there's no real use in going back to sleep. "You didn't wake me,it's okay.I might as well get up anyway,it's morning already.Do you want a cup of coffee?" I getting out of bed and moving towards the bathroom to splash some water on my face

I look at Liz and raise an eyebrow. "A cool cat?" I repeat. "Baby, I'm the smoothist cat in the whole town... and you most certaintly are the cute-ist woman around."

Did I just say that...I was just trying to be smooth...thats all...I dont mean it....

Alex

"You don't have to get up because of me." I tell Isabel, not wanting to be the reason she's getting up so early. "I can just watch you sleep for a while .... okay, that sounded creepy."

Watching her disappear in ... her bathroom, I guess I get up and walk a few steps towards it. "But coffee does sound great, I'll just ... take a shower then, okay?"

I can't help but shake my head in wry amusement when I hear his watching me sleep statement followed by the 'that's creepy bit'. "No I'm wide awake now,can't go back to sleep so might as well get up and about." I tell him while splashing water on my face

"But coffee does sound great, I'll just ... take a shower then, okay?"
"Yeah no problem,be my guest.I showed you where the fresh towels are in the guest bedroom."

OOC-Once everyone is done with what they are currently doing can we just go ahead to just before they are leaving for the carnival or getting ready for it?

skipping ahead would be fine with me

"Yeah no problem,be my guest.I showed you where the fresh towels are in the guest bedroom."

"Don't worry, I'll be fine!" I call out just before leaving Isabel's bedroom. With a grin I walk to the guest bedroom. I just spent the night in Isabel's bedroom - in her bed - in her arms, I think those are good reasons to grin.

20 minutes and a VERY cold and refreshing shower later, I put my clothes back on (I'm feeling slightly chilly now) and quickly brush my teeth. I know that doesn't make much sense since I soon will have coffee but I don't want to have bad breath - there might be some kissing coming up after all!

"Can I help?" I ask when I step into the kitchen where Iz is working.

OCC: I don't mind skipping ahead here in another post or two. I was going to have Liz and Max go to sleep and alizaleven and I could just use whatever supposedly happened between Kyle and Tess in future posts as flashbacks or talking to the others I guess.

I grin and chuckle just before another yawn takes hold of me. Snuggling down against him and lay my head back down on his chest. "You know, a girl could get used to being held like this," I almost whisper. It is a nice experience. I find it rather ironic that most of the guys I sleep with, I don't actually end up sleeping with but the guy that I'm more attracted to than any other in my past and that I want to jump I end up only sleeping with him.

I smile at the thought, feeling Max's hand running lightly over my hair and down my spine and back again. Listening to the beating of his heart, I feel my eyelids getting heavy. I let them flutter closed and a weird wish that Max will still be there when I wake up flashes in my mind before I feel my mind shut down for a while.

I grin. "I hope you won't be embarrassed by this." Looking up at the waitress I smile and say, "I'd like the combination platter with the pancakes, eggs, sausage and grits, and I'd like the eggs scrambled please."

Handing her the menus, I turn back to Tess. "You do realize that you probably won't get much sleep this morning right? I mean it's like 5 already. I'm sorry if I'm keeping you out too long. I don't really have anything I have to do today between now and that carnival later."

After Alex leaves I quickly brush my hair and tie it up in a loose knot and brush my teeth before making my way in to the kitchen.I could hear the shower on when I passed the guest room and I was tempted to take a quick peek but I resisted.There'll be time for that later.Lots of time I hope.This is one relationship I am hoping will last.

Last night's events come flooding back to me and I go about getting the coffee ready for the two of us with a smile on my face and humming a tune,from god knows where,softly.The man in my guest bathroom has certainly put me in a good mood.Looking out of the kitchen window I notice the sun just about beginning to rise.

"Can I help?"
Twirling around happily I give him a peck on the cheek,"No thanks,I'm just about done,take a seat." A minute later I set two cups of coffee down on the table and sit down next to him. "So I guess we're having our coffee date a little earlier than expected." I say and sip at the hot beverage looking at him over the rim of my cup
