“I'm Kyle. You guys must be the new student am I right?" Kyle said to Nick and me.

“Yea…we just arrive few minutes ago.” I said softly.

~Kyle~

"Yea…we just arrive few minutes ago.” Riley says.

"Well, Welcome to Xavier's Roswell High." I say, "I've been here for about five years, so if you guys need anything just let me know."

Nick

"Well, Welcome to Xavier's Roswell High. I've been here for about five years, so if you guys need anything just let me know." they guy says, and I smile.

"Thanks. Actually, we're looking for the rooms..." When I first agreed to this, I didn't realize we'd be staying overnight or anything, but it actually sounds fun. No parents to be annoying.

Michael

"Yeah, well, my father did. They new each other since like, I don't.....high school or something. When My dad found out I was Mutant he asked Eric for help. My dad didn't know how to handle it. Eric helped him and me." She tells me, and I smile again. Yeah, me and Eric are old friends. Well, not really, but we're pals.

"Yeah, he's really nice. Helped me out when I was having shifting problems when I first got here."

~Riley~

I watch my brother Nick and Kyle talk. I stood the noticing every inch about Kyle. He was so cute. Come on just look at him. The way he talks, the way he smiles. What girl wouldn't find him cute.

But I know I'm not his type so there shouldn't be any point drowling over him, right?

*Maria*


"So, you said you're a junior, right? So you've been here three years then? What is it that you 'do' exactly, if you catch my drift," Jess asks, using finger quotes and all.

"Oh," I say, keeping a bright expression. I knew it had to happen. We're not just normal kids. We're freaks and he wants to know how freaky I am. "I can shape-shift into a lion."

I stop then, unable to say more until I know how he'll react.

Jess

"Oh, I can shape-shift into a lion." Maria says, sounding all calm and cool about it. Well, I mean, considering the whole school has some crazy 'gift,' that isn't unusual. But how weird is it that the first person I meet can shift? I mean, I've never been friends with anyone even remotely like me at all. And a lion? That's a first. I mean, a good first, but still. The one shapeshifter I knew changed into like a dog or something. Nothing predatory.

"Wow. That's a different one." I start, still smiling. "I mean, well, not compared to me. I'm sort of half wolf. You know, I can change into one, and on the full moon I go all werewolf. Great huh?" Ah, the powers of sarcasm. I mean, sure, I like the whole being able to shift whenever I want to, but not being able to do anything on every full moon of the year because I'm running around uncontrollably in the woods? Not my idea of fun.

OOC -- Michael is described as a shape-shifter but it doesn't say into what. Does that mean he changes into other people?


*Maria*

"Really? Wow," I say as Jess explains that he can transform into a wolf. I don't understand the 'half-wolf' comment. I never concidered myself half-lion. It's just what I can do... But Jess's tone has a heavy dose of sarcasm so I know he's not happy about it. Going Werewolf on the full moon. That can't be fun. Being able to control what I do was the best part of being in this freak farm. Well, that and being friends with Liz and Alex...

"Don't worry. I'm sure the Professor will be able to help you to control it and nobody here will be afraid to be your friend. Here, being weird is normal," I say.

Jess

"Really? Wow," Maria says, the interest showing on her face. Well, I've never had someone have that reaction. Usually people think I'm joking, or laugh, or freak out. Except for my parents, and they were just hiding their reaction.

"Don't worry. I'm sure the Professor will be able to help you to control it and nobody here will be afraid to be your friend. Here, being weird is normal," She tells me, as if that will comfort me.

"Thanks, I'm glad that here it's a compliment that I'm weird, as for friends, well, so far the people I've met are nice," I say jokingly, referring to her. The only other person I've met was that guy in the parking lot, and I didn't even speak to him.

"I mean, I don't have trouble controlling it usually, it's just on the full moon. You can change whenever you want to?"

~Kyle~

"Thanks. Actually, we're looking for the rooms..." Nick says. I nod my head and look around. I see Professor Summers.

"One minute." I tell Riley and Nick. I look back to Professor Summer, "Hey, Scott." I yell and run over to him. He turns around, "Kyle, What up?" He says and I look over to the new student. "Do you know where the new student are being roomed?" I ask. "There being roomed all over, whats there names?" He says and looks over to them. "Nick and Riley."

Scott, or Professor Summers, looks over to them, "Yeah, I heard there case on coming here. Riley's roomed next to Tess. Nick is roomed next to Michael." I nod my head, "Ok thanks." I start to walk back over to them when he calls out, "I'd like to see my chevelle back in the garage today, Kyle." I only grin. I can't help that I'm attracted to his red chevelle.

"Your rooms are this way." I tell them, heading down the hall. I stop at Riley's room first. "This will be your room." I tell her smiling, "If you need anything Tess is you neighbor." I look to Nick, "Your room is one floor up." I tell him.

I see Tess come out of her room, "Hey, Tess. Wanna show the new guy where his room is?" I ask her. "If so, he's roomed next to Michael."
