((ooc: storm, you said maria in James' post instead of Laura, and you didn't have Tyler and Christina as your other kids in your Maria post. Oh, and Talan wants extra fries and a burger...lots of extra fries. ANd sorry this is so short. ))

"You won't regret going," I said with a smile as Andrew walked into the bathroom. I walked over to the ringing phone and quickly picked it up. "Hello?" I said, trying to check the caller ID at the same time. "Oh, hey mom," I added, recognizing the number of my mother's cell phone.

I held the phone to my ear with my shoulder as I grabbed a clean shirt from my door; managing to button it up with my single free hand. "So, how's the singing going?" I asked, leaning against the wall.

PERSONALITY:
Talan has a great personality. He's always nice to everyone, and he gets very protective of the people close to him. He can be serious when he needs to be, but he knows how to loosen up.


BACKGROUND:
Talan's been friends with Danni, Lia, and Jake since third grade. He was there when they first discovered they were different, and he accepted them, no questions asked. The four are almost inseperable, and when they decided to go to Roswell, NM, of course he came with. He doesn't have any powers because he is entirely human, but that doesn't make them treat him any differently.

When Lily jumped out of the car, she made her way over to James Valenti's jeep, so I decided to follow her. I figured that wherever James was, Tyler wouldn't be far behind. "Hey boys!" I said, leaning against Tyler's window.

"So, how was school?" I asked, reaching in to grab some gum from the dashboard. "And please tell me you guys are going to the party later," I added, rambling on.

"The Grocers is three blocks down on your right" The waitress says as she returns after putting my order in and getting the soda's. "Here's your cherry cokes, your food will be with you in a moment...can I help with anything else?"

"Actually, you could.." I start after a moments thought, "I'm trying to find a house around here to either rent or buy. Hearing from people that live around here is often a much better way of learning of the good places rather then trying the papers." I finally end. In reality, I'm feeling a strange recognition, like there's some sort of energy around the girl that is calling to my own.

'Jake, Lia, I think maybe we'll need to plan to actually eat in this resteraunt sometime tomorrow. I'm going to want your oppinion on something that I'll be explaining later.' I tell my sister and brother through our telepathy. I knew I could have said it enough for Talan to hear as well, but I also knew they'd fill him in.

I look at the young waitress as she's pulled aside slightly and watch the interaction between her and the boy. I remember a time when I'd looked like that at a guy, then Jake had stepped in the way and screwed things up. With a sigh, I simply settled on the stool and glanced around at some of the others that were inside the resteraunt.

I'm waiting for Ty to get in the car when I notice Lily walking with my sister and Ty's sister. Damn, Lily always looked hot to me, but other then Tyler no one knew of my interest in the girl. I'd been great at keeping it under wraps. As she made her way over to the car, leaning in my window, I can't help but glance down slightly before looking at her face, in her eyes. "Hey boys." She greets us and I can't help but think about my plan for the night.

"So, how was school?" Christina asks as she grabs some gum off my dahsboard. These girls would never change. "And please tell me you guys are going to the party later."

I laughed as I glanced at her and nodded, "Do you honestly think Ty and I would miss a party?" Glancing back at Lily, I smirked, "Hey, Lil. Want to see my newest tattoo?" All of our 'extended' family, the kids anyway knew about me and my tattoo's. I enjoyed showing them off, well mostly. I was a bit worried about my sister seeing them and getting pissed at me sometime... but I often still showed them off to her too. Even if we weren't the closest.

Erik ruffle's my hair with his hand and I can't keep from jerking my head away, "Thanks for messing up my hair, I can't go..." I start to comment but shake my head instead.

"Anytime lil' sis." My brother says and I attempt a scowl but when it comes to Erik, I can't help but smile even though I'd like to be mad sometimes. "Oh come on, you know no one can scowl as well as Uncle Michael. Besides, you're only going home to redo your hair anyway." He laughs and I can't help but do the same.

"By the way...did you need a ride home or is Mags dropping you off?" He asks this and I glance at Mags for an answer, she simply shrugs.

"I could use a ride." I admit as I look at Erik again. "I'll need to get ready and Mags can drop the outfit by when she get's them later. Her mom was still altering them this morning." I explain. Of course, I'd managed to keep Erik from knowing what it was I was going to be looking like for our gig. We'd decided to adopt a new look to go with our band name. "That way, you can see my new fashion before anyone else." I grin at my brother.

I can't keep from reaching over to poke his shoulder a few times in a row and speak quietly, "Poke Poke Poke, are you done?" It was always a joke I'd started saying a few years ago. I never know how he'll respond but I always know I can get him to relax when he's tense, and to know that he's going to at least smile or laugh at me. Still, he's in what looks to be a good mood at the moment, but I still want to help make it better.

I begin laughing and the girls shake their heads, beginning to get up and get set to head out. I hear Laura vaguely saying something to Tyler about knowing 'she' is there and can't help but glance over, wondering who she means. All I see is Tyler looking embarrassed and then I watch as he gets ready to leave. Catching James looking my way, I duck my head and turn back to Erik. "Are you ready, now? Or do you wanna eat something here first?"

ooc: short, I know...... can't wait till I have lots more time to catch up without feeling bad about slowing things down so I can do more.

"Hello?" I hear my son's voice, "Oh, hey mom." He must have just looked at the caller ID. With a smile, I lean back in the seat, glad that I caught Brad in.

"So, how's the singing going?" He asks and I laugh softly.

"It's going great. Another two albums have been cut, but only one is going to be put out. And I'm officially on vacation from now until the first of the year. I'm heading back to Roswell now, surprising your dad and the kids." I tell him, glad to hear his voice. "How are your classes progressing?" I ask him, part of me wishing he'd chosen to go to school back in Roswell or at least closer to home. I'd love to see him before I go back on the road.

The ride had been long, and I was glad when I finally saw the sign for Roswell, NM. "How...appropriate," I muttered to myself, looking back and forth between the Alien waving on the sign and the one curled up in the front seat; headphones blaring while she slept.

Lia woke up a minute later, to tell me that her SISTER ((I know she's a girl...were you pointing that comment at me?)) Danni had just relayed a message to her telepahically, about where we were to stay. Now that may sound strange, but I had been friends with Jake, Lia and Danni since third grade, and I knew they were 'different', for just as long as they had.

It didn't bother me that they had these powers; as long as they didn't sneak up on me while using them, or force their way into my mind or anything. I actually thought it was cool.

A few moments later, I pulled into the parking lot of the Hotel and me and Lia hopped out, glad to be on our legs. "Danni, be careful," I called as she rode away on her bicycle.

While we were unpacking the car, Lia got another message from Danni. She wanted to know what we wanted from the restaurant. "I so want a shitload of salty french fries and a huge burger," I said, slamming the trunk shut.

LILY

"Hey, Lil. Want to see my newest tattoo?"

“Sure,” I say with a careless shrug. Of course I want to see his newest tattoo, I would quite happily stare at him for hours, I just don’t want him to know that. I am not sure how he feels about me or if he even feels anything at all. The fact that he is showing me his tattoo means next to nothing, he loves showing them off.

From behind me, Marie lets out a snort of disgust before muttering something about getting a booth. I wonder what is up with her now?

Focusing my attention back onto him, a tingle of anticipation runs down my spine as he starts to pull down his shirt. God, would you look at that chest. Its nothing short of perfection.

“When I’m done it’ll be a tribal symbol with a phoenix in the center.” James says, bringing my attention to his tattoo. Wow, that boy has got some talents when it comes to a tattoo gun. Even though the tattoo on his chest is unfinished, it still looks impressive and almost puts the small tattoo I have just below my hipbone to shame.

“That’s hot,” Reaching forward, I trail the outline of the tattoo with my finger. “All the girls are going to be going wild for you tonight, Valenti.”

I stare at Oliver for a moment, and realise the customer had replied. She comtinued.

Oh! Finally Mom and Dad can rent out the upstairs of the Crashdown! Mom and Dad had revervated it a while back, but they had never found anyone to rent it. Oh I hope this girl took it, she seems really nice.

"Actually, we're renting out the rooms above the Crashdown. We redecorated it. If you wanted to rent it, my parents are across the street at the UFO Museum. My Dad's the boss, should be pretty easy to spot. I'm Amy, welcome to Roswell! I'm guessing your not from around here then?" I ask politely.
