Anna-Liisa and madroswellfan It didn't start that long ago, so it's all cool. As to where you start your characters, it's up to you whether you have them in a building or outside.

At present, this is where my characters are located.

Lex- In the street (near the mall) with a bottle of unopened whiskey.
Tai-San- in the street in front of the UFO center.
Isabel- 2nd floor of the UFO center
Michael- In the pod chamber
Bray and Pride- In the mall cafe'
Moon - in the hotel kitchen
Willow- The Magic Box

The current buildings available are:

A Mall - it will not look like a normal mall, it actually will have stores that look like they are bedrooms.

Hotel - The structure of the hotel is similar to that of the one used in Angel, however not as many floors. And, upon closer inspection, one might find spray paint and fliers scattered in different area's. (Medina has mixed two hotels into one by simply melding the designs together.)

The Magic Box - Of course, this is the magic shop used in Buffy :D No real changes or anything.

The Crashdown Cafe' - Both resteraunt floor and apartment floor are here. There isn't much change here either, though of course, no customers or anything.

The UFO Center - Same as on the show, but there are a few secrets that will reveal themselves during parts of the storyline heh

The Pod Chamber - Despite having their own powers, only the hybrids can enter here at present time.

Workshop - Zeus' main haven from things. This is where he creates all of his lovely and fun devices. Others can not find it without him.

The Storm HQ - An underground headquarters that in the true reality was used to operate against Nexes... it has full medical facilities, genetics lab, boarding area, technological advancement, and several other amenities, however only Quixote and Zeus will at first be able to enter it.

Other then those listed above, there are random buildings, mainly like warehouses. No people, no cars or vehicles of any kind as of yet... Just those Chosen to be in the Choosing Grounds.

So it all starts after they're brought there? Will they know that they aren't where they're supposed to?

It depends on exactly where you wanted to have Kyle before the transfer.... if he was in the Crashdown before he was taken, then when he awakes he might be wondering what's going on when he realizes that there's no one else in there..... and of course people outside are going to notice because nothings the same.

However, unless they look around, they won't know much. The most they will remember is having a strange yet beautiful woman place a hand on their shoulder and suddenly feeling sleepy. Then they wake wherever you place them.

~Isabel~

A part of me simply wants to blast him and kill him so we can get this over with because I know that with it hurting me the way it is, it has to be hurting Liz even more. I tried reaching Michael through our telepathic link but it felt as though there was emptiness. I didn't want to think about what that could mean.

“I don’t know what you think you’re going to gain by this, but it doesn’t fool us…we’re ready for you… Khivar’s fighting a losing battle, and we’re going to be on the winning team!” Liz says from beside me and I wish that for once she wasn't having to force herself to be strong. I knew that this was hard for her. I want to look over at her, give her a silent acknowledgement that I was there and understood how painful this was.

Then, I heard 'Max' speak again, "This isn't some kind of dreamwalk?"

I watch him glance around and have the urge to lower my hand because he truly looks innocent of what's going on. I look at him, noting that as much as he's Max's replica, there's a change in him. I don't know quite what to think. He seems older, older then Max had been when we lost him. But more then that, there seemed to be an undertone of sadness to him. He says something more, but it's soft enough that I don't make it out.

"Something strange is going on here," he says this so calmly that I can't help but feel that he's not going to be a threat to us. It sounds so much like my brother, "Obviously, I'm not dead and there's no way I'd be working for Khivar." I can't help but here the tone of conviction when he said he wouldn't be working for Kihivar and my hand lowers only slightly before I raise it again, shifting my stance.

"I'm not a Skin. Look!" He tells us and then turns lifting the back of his shirt and I look carefully. There's no sign of it being a husk, so.. maybe..

"What are you two talking about? Why do you say I'm dead? And since when do you have powers, Liz? Is it something to do with what Ava said? How I changed you?" Max asks and instead of having Liz say anything, knowing to talk about things would cause more pain, I decide I'll explain.

"We were led into a trap after Whitaker's attack. You were killed before we could get out of there." I say, trying my best not to let the emotions flow freely even as I feel my eyes water. "Liz was changed, yeah. More then we can even comprehend." I'm not about to give anymore information on Liz's powers.

Another thoughts occured to me, "If you aren't a skin, then your a damned shapeshifter. That's got to be the only explanation here." I reached out and placed my free hand on Liz's shoulder, prepared to share energy with her should she need it.

Liz, I .. I can't reach Michael.. but.. something in my gut tells me.. this guy isn't our enemy.. I tell my 'sister' telepathically. I had come to think of her as my sister when she had married Max, thus I still thought of her that way.

Still, even thinking he could be a shapshifter, how would he have known that there was a chance that Liz had been changed. "Who's Ava?" I ask, having never heard that name before.

With the girl Quixote standing with me and watching the scenes already unfolding below, I can't help but laugh. I turn from the images for a moment as I look at Quixote, "I'm going to help you learn about who you are, Quixote. But, in turn... you are going to help me. Speak all the riddles and play all the games you want down there with them. I'll even give you some hints to give them from time to time." I tell her and turn back to look at the images.

"For now, I believe it's time that I give them a slight introduction. I don't want my pawns killing each other yet." I say with laughter and for the moment, decide to start with Isabel, Liz and Max who are currently the most volatile of situations. I focused on three sheets of paper appearing with what I wanted them to say.

Each had one of their names and then the body of the letter simply stated.

Welcome to the Choosing Grounds, Welcome to the Service of Medina. Once everyone has met and come together, I'll greet you face to face. For the moment however, enjoy the second chance from fate. Or.. better yet a second chance given to you by a Goddess.

Medina

I held them out to Quixote and smiled, "Alright, deliver these for now. Then do what you wish down there for a while. When I'm ready for you, I'll call you back."

Kyle

Everything had gone away. Everything. Tess had betrayed us. Betrayed me. I knew long time ago that I couldn't trust women, but then I just had fallen in love with her and just because she saved my life. Pathetic. Everything was pathetic. My life and the fact that every single relationship with any women had fallen apart.

And my only problem wasn't even that. No, I had more than more problem. Some freaky alien-powers that Tess had left me from the healing. I hadn't told anyone - in fact I hadn't even spoken to anyone in a long time. I guess it could've helped to talk someone....

But I had a third problem too: I had fallen a sleep after I saw this amazing girl. She only touched my shoulders, but still I fell asleep...Must've been because I hadn't slept last night at all. But the real problem is that when I woke up, I was all alone.

'Maybe I'm just dreaming' was my first though, but I knew I wasn't. It just wasn't a dream. I felt too..Real. 'What am I doing in the mall, anyway? Oh yeah, I came to buy a book..'

I got up from where I was laying and looked around. It definitely was a mall. I started walking around, but it was too quiet. The whole place was too quiet.

'I'm starting to get scared..where's everyone?' I though again and started making my way to the mall front door. I needed to see if there were people outside too. Had the aliens attacked? Skins...Whatever they were called. I hoped not. Maybe it was sunday and I had just slept whole saturday night and got trapped...though some guards woul've seen me, right?

'This isn't a good way to start a day..'

*

So Kyle woke up in the mall, not knowing how he got there. Tell me if I need to change it. Lol. I just didn't know where to place him.

If someone could talk to him, would be appreciated.

*Max*

"We were led into a trap after Whitaker's attack. You were killed before we could get out of there," Isabel explains and I shake my head, not understanding. "That's not what happened," I say.

"Liz was changed, yeah. More then we can even comprehend. If you aren't a skin, then your a damned shapeshifter. That's got to be the only explanation here," Isabel says. She touches Liz's shoulder and I again notice that the two of them seem to be on the same page as to what they think is real. I'm the odd man out. What does that mean? I know I can't prove I'm not a shapeshifter without an x-ray machine and I hope they don't try. I had more than enough of that in the White Room with Pierce trying to force me to change shapes and there was no way to convince him.

"Who's Ava?" Isabel asks suddenly.

I decide to ignore that for now. The issue of my 'death' is a bit more compelling at the moment. Whitacker attacked Tess on Isabel's birthday. She saved Tess and killed the Senator. "We were attacked in Copper Summit after Whitaker died," I remember. "And then the Skins came here, but Tess saved us all." It was really the first time I started to feel good about her being part of the group. Not just accepting her, but actually being glad Tess was there.

"Ava is Tess's dupe," I say. Neither she nor Liz show any sign of recognition at my words, although I know they both know it's true. "From the other set. They made two groups of us and -- Wait. That's it. You're not Isabel, are you? You're Lonnie." I take a step back, raising my hand defensively, since she did try to kill me the last time I saw her. "You think I'm Zan."

Now it's starting to make sense. Her brother did die, although I didn't think it had anything to do with Whitaker. She and Rath killed him. My gaze flickers back to Liz. She's not a hybrid so she wasn't duplicated. Did Lonnie fool her? Or maybe she's the shape-shifter, made to fool me...
