Hey! I didn't make any promises! I'm angry with Max at first but then I smile. Hey, that's right. I didn't make any promises but Alex thinks Max made them for me. That's just fine. Although I admit that Max's behavior is a little strange about that blonde. Oh, she must have been one of his one nighters. I sigh internally. Well, that still doesn't mean that Alex can't have his shot with her.
Max asks something about Michael and I nod in the direction of his car. "Alex and I thought that was his car but he hasn't gotten out yet. Maybe he's already inside."

I sigh inwardly when the topic of conversation shifts to Michael. I cast one last glance at the blonde then shake my head - she wouldn't have been interested anyway, at least this way, I am not going to be humilated.
"Alex and I thought that was his car but he hasn't gotten out yet. Maybe he's already inside."
"Well maybe we were wrong and it is not his car ... hey, I thought you and Michael would come with one car? At least Kyle said something like that."

OT: I'm just waiting for a "Maria" post so that we can get her and Liz to the club. Isabel and Tess, feel free to carry on more conversation if you want. We'll pretend that the time between whatever you guys talk about and the time when Maria and Liz arrives isn't but a couple of minutes. Did that come out right?

"Amen, brothers! Let's get inside this joint." I lead the way, yanking Max from the direction of the line and walking right up to Steve. I cast one last glance at the little blonde that caught my attention. I wonder what color her eyes are. I simply wave at the bouncer who gives us a nod and we step inside. No need to draw a scene. You look more important the less is said.
The place is hopping and the music is thumping. There are tables and a couple of bars around the place so that it makes for better mingling. It is a huge club with two levels, bars and tables on both levels but the majority of the lower level taken up with a dance floor, where there are tons of people bumping and grinding into each other. "All right, gentlemen, where are we parking this evening?" I shout to be heard over the music.

Tess looks at the guy in question and nods her head in agreement,“Yup, looks exactly like it.”
For a few moments I look away to see if I can spot Maria or Liz but as it's impossible to expect those to arrive on time anywhere.I'm beginning to feel impatient.I don't like standing around here.
Returning my gaze on the 'Playboy' and his friend,I notice another guy has joined them...a guy who looks very very familiar from the back.It can't!!
Just then the guy in question turns around and the light catches his face and I get the confirmation I need...yes,the prodigal brother hath indeed returned to town.
For a moment I consider going up to him and asking him if he's alright in the head.But why the hell should I care?If he hasn't bothered to get in touch with me,why should I make the first move?
Well well,so much for brotherly love.I wonder how long he's been in town?From the way he is behaving I assume he has spotted me else why would he be acting so antsy as if he can't wait to get in to the club.The playboy looks at me once and then he seems to notice Tess,"Looks like you've caught the playboy's attention.He's checking you out." I inform her and begin walking to the entrance
"Let's just tell Steve that we are waiting for Maria to get here and that we are going to wait inside and to tell her that when she shows up.I'm not in the mood to stand around here waiting for them."

As we come up to Steve I put on my best smile,"Hey Steve...I hope you remember me.I'm Isabel...Isabel Evans,Maria's friend.We met at her house party a few weeks back."
He eyes me for a second before breaking out in a grin,"Oh yeah of course,I'd remember you anywhere."

The dance floor is jam packed,the music is pounding and I am definitely going to go home with a headache tonight.And I would hardly call what some of those people are doing on the dance floor,dancing.More like sex standing up!
Looking around for a good spot for us to park ourselves I look up to our left and spot a couple of the couches still free."Tess,there's some space up there." I say pointing upstairs and pull her along before someone else grabs those seats
