"If anyone goes with her it's going to be someone from our group." Ava's dup steps up. I look at her with interest. She's nothing like Ava who's meek and timid. She hids behind Serena's legs like a scared puppy. Zan sometimes stepped in before Serena showed up but he couldn't be around all the time.

No, this little one had a fierce nature to her. I could see an intense gleam in her eyes and she intrigued me as much as the spunky sprite my dup seemed so protective over.

I lift my hands in surrender. "Just volunteering my help Blonde." My lips curved into a smirk.

*Tess*

Who does this Michael look alike think he is? I glare at him as he looks me up and down. I don't trust him and I don't like him."Just volunteering my help Blonde." He says smirking at me. I roll my eyes. "Well it's not wanted so back off!"

~Liz~

Finally, my dad does come back and tell me I can go. He apologises again for having dumped on me like that, but I try to dismiss his words quickly, knowing that every moment I'm here is a moment I'm not at the meeting... "It's not a problem dad... I'm gonna go take a walk now though, if you're not needing me any longer...

I try not to show how desperate I am to leave, and I'm assuming that I must have succeeded since he doesn't say anything except to thank me again, and say he'll see me later.

Grabbing my coat, I head out the door, trying not to run even though I'm in a hurry. Once outside though, I begin to run, heading across the road to the UFO centre where I know we were due to meet. Reaching the door, I stop, and finding it unlocked as expected, pull it open and head inside.

I'm assuming that everyone else will be here, and Max will have started, so I'm not surprised to hear what sounds like voicing coming from further in.

The light's dim, and although I can make out some figures, numbers and appearances aren't something I can see. Looks like everyone else is here though, and as I walk down the stairs, I call out in a low voice to let them know that it's just me. "Hi, sorry I'm late dad ne-"

I break off mid-sentence as I move closer and it becomes clear I've interrupted something... My eyes pick out the fact there are rather more people here than I would have expected, and as I look around, I can't miss the resemblance between certain members of the group... "Okkaaay...what's going on...?" I ask in a slightly shaky voice as I stop just short of everyone, not really sure what to make of all this...

~Raith~

"Well it's not wanted so back off!"

Ava's dup was a real firecracker. Her response didn't phase me and kept smirking while a shrugged. "Well is you need help, just call on Raith. I'll be there for anything you need...done." I turn to the sprite near her. "Same goes for you Babe. If my dup can't please ya, just let me know."

I turn and walk toward where Lonnie stood. I could feel their stares on my back making me chuckle. I love making people react to me. It's quite entertaining really. I could even sense my dups strong anger and fed off it. That's what I do.

"Lons.." My voice turns formal like we were raise properly. "This could be fun."

Zan cradles Serena and I can't seem to take my eyes from them. She could be Liz's sister and he obviously cares for her a lot. I don't know if it's just because of friendship, -- a partnership in the group, his second -- or if it's something more. Still, I don't imagine it could compare to what I felt for Liz. What I still feel, since I haven't quite been able to teach myself to forget her yet. Truthfully, I don't want to. I don't want to believe what I saw, but I've asked her more than once and she always says that it was true...

After the way he grabbed her before, I know better than to try to touch Serena, but I still want to help. Or if I can't help, I want to understand. "How did you meet up with her? How did you know who she was?"

Behind me, I can hear Raith and Michael going after each other. I hear Maria and Tess talking about Liz again, but I'm still waiting for something to make this all make sense to me.

Then, before Zan answers, she's here. Liz.

She hurries down the stair, same as always, stopping in her tracks when she sees the others. I can easily imagine what she's thinking. The same things that were in our minds only half an hour ago.

I turn towards her, wondering how to explain, when Ava comes and collects Serena. Serena seemed to be unconcious a moment ago, but she responds to Ava and she gets up to walk with her into the next room. Before she gets there, she stops, staring at me. I watch her carefully in return, not sure what is about to happen.

“White Demons haunt him, but that was nothing compared to what broke his heart. Eyes can deceive what the heart tells you," She says.

I stand frozen in shock as the words fill me. Ava's already leading her away before I can think to speak. "How does she know? How can she know what's inside me?" I say softly. I don't know if any of the others can hear me, or even if I want them to hear me. I don't know that I want them to know. Serena never touched me, so it can't be a flash the way I know flashes. She only looked at me. How did she see the inside?

Shaking my head, I turn back to Liz, knowing it's my job to try to explain things. "Do you remember what Captain Carter told Michael about there being eight of us? These are the others. They came to Roswell to find us."

Ava & Serena

Ava closed the door behind them blocking out the rest of the world. She sat down on the floor and pulled Serena down to beside her. Serena snuggled up to Ava her head resting on her lap. Serena closed her eyes and feel back to sleep. It was the first time in a longtime that Serena actually looked at peace. But the peacefulness didn’t last long as Serena started to whimper in her sleep. Ava brushed Serena’s hair from her face in an effort to smooth her and she remembered a time not too long ago when Serena had done the same for her when Ava had been upset.

Raith had said Ava wasn’t fit to be a Queen, that she was weak, and as usual made Ava feel like an outcast in the only family she knew. Perhaps Ava had been weak at the time, but she was strong now, she could feel herself changing. Ava used to have to lean on Serena for strength but now it was Ava that had to be strong for both of them.

Ava then remembered the song that Serena had sang to her. At the time it had made Ava actually smile because she thought it was the corniest thing she had ever heard, but now in this moment, it just seemed to fit and Ava started to quietly sing to the best friend she had ever had…

Tears formed in Ava’s eyes at the thought that they might not be able to help Serena and then she would never get to say thank you for all Serena did for her. How she always made Ava feel important even when no one else thought she was.

Ava prayed to whatever deity watched over alien- human hybrids that Serena would come out of this okay. That she would come back from this.

She sang her voice getting softer and tears now running down her face, and she didn’t bother to wipe them away. She stayed there and cried softly as she continued to stroke Serena's hair. This would all turn out okay, it had too.

*Maria*

"Want some company?" Michael's dupe asks raisng his eyebrow suggestively.

Okay, I think Michael's gonna have a seizure. His face gets all red and I can feel the heat radiating from him, which is kind of a turn on.
I know. I know. My sick and twisted mind at work again. Although Raith looks completely thrilling I would never hurt Michael by stepping out with him. He deserves better than that. Although theres nothing wrong with looking is there?

"Uh..." I mumble. Thankfully Tess comes to my rescue.Which is surprising because I thought she hated me. Maybe I was wrong about her

"If anyone goes with her it's going to be someone from our group." she snaps turning to face me.

"I can go with you and we can stop and get everyone supper!" she offers examing Michael out of the corner of her eye.

I can't see Space Boy's facial expression because I'm leaning against him but it can't be happy.

"Just volunteering my help Blonde." Raith smirks at Tess. Is he deliberately trying to Piss her off. Because I've seen Tess in action and he doesn't want to.

"Well it's not wanted so back off!" Tess growls. Wow, their girls got balls. I have defintely under estimated her.


"Well is you need help, just call on Raith. I'll be there for anything you need...done." He remarks looking Tess up and down.

Then his eyes return back to mine. "Same goes for you Babe. If my dupe can't please ya, just let me know."

The nerve of this sleze hitting on me and Tess at the same time! Right in front of my boyfiend! Michael is seething. I feel I shouldn't let him get away with that remark.

"Thanks for the offer, but contray to what you must think you are not God's gift to women." He's hot ,but he's full of himself. There is something intriguing about that self confidence. I'd like to pick away at his brain (metaphorically of course) to see why he ended up this way, while Michael didn't. They are soo similar ,but soo different.

He smiles and walks over to the one that looks like Isabel,

I turn to Tess hoping she can read the appreciation in my eyes.

"Thanks Tess." I state my eyes trailing to the stairs.

Liz is standing there shock covers her features in a way that almost make me laugh.

"Hi, sorry I'm late dad ne- Okkaaay...what's going on...?"

Tess's dupe goes over to the brunette and takes her hand.

“I’ll take her in the other room.” she replies to the Max look alike.

The weird chick in the floor starts spouting riddles,

Tess's double givings her a sad look and responds,“ Come on Serena.”

She leads the fragile girl out of the room.

"Hey Liz, welcome to the twilight zone!" I mutter to my friend who still stands frozen. Maybe she can help us make some sence out of all this caous.

Michael

My dupe is really coming close to treading on my last nerve, and I know if I don't leave right now I might blow up something important. Even as I stand there, I hear a lightbulb blow out above Raith's head.

That's it. I can't take it. I need fresh air. "I'm going outside. Maria, do you want to come with me?" I ask, gently turning her around. If I don't get out of viewing distance of my double, I might just end up killing myself. Almost literally, except it would be him. Okaaaay, scary thoughts. I just stop thinking, it's easier this way. "Max, we'll talk later," I say, heading towards the door, my eyes on Maria to see if she is following.

*Tess*

Maria turns to me and smiles in appreciation. Thanks Tess!" She says. I smile and nod. Maria and I may not be what you call the best of friends but the way michael's dupe was acting towards her was wrong and she's also a member of our group and since Michael was standing there glaring I decided to be the one to speak up for her. "No problem Maria!" I say and then I follow her eyes to the stairs to see Liz standing there her eyes wide and her expression confused."Hey Liz, Welcome to the twilight zone." Maria says. "That's for sure!" I agree. This is all just to strange.
