Kylie? I giggle. Then I realise what Im doing and quickly put my hand over my mouth. Oh god...I hope they didn't hear that.
I don't think they did...thank God. But at least I smiled genually for a second today.

Kyle

I walked around the house and sure enough there was Maria sitting on her favourtie bench...I sit down besides her..."Want to tell me what's eating you up inside?"

I glare reproachfully. "This better work, Lord Kyle, because if not, I'm coming after you." I warned him, trying to keep a straight face. He smiled and waved us away. "Come on Isabel, let's go get set up," I told her, calling for the doorman to bring our bags, and a maid to show us where to go.

I watched Liz and Isabel suddenly get up and leave for some unknown reason. Then I turned to look at Kyle, who, besides Amy, was the only one that remained in the kitchen with me. And even then Amy wasn't paying us a bit of attention, she was discussing the plans for the party with one of her servants.

I was about to start a conversation with Kyle when he turned and walked away. I was now left alone in the kitchen.

Crap. It would be him to come and find me. The only one who can really break through my defences.
"Im fine Kyle" I say in a monotone.
I can see him raising his eyebrow at me.
"Fine. Kyle, you know what it is anyway. You know how Mother is counting on me for the best coming out. I just wish that she would just let me enjoy my time with my cousins. Rather than making it into a competition."
I sigh again. "Look, I could hear everyword you said. So you want me to go and see Isabel and Liz upstairs right? So you can spend time with Tess."
He smiles.
Ah hah. Got it in one.

Kyle

"You're a gem you know that"...I give her a light kiss on the forehead..."you read my mind...now I am going back to the kitchen to see if I can salvage any semblace of a conversation with Tess if she's still downstairs."

I sat down on one of the stools, allowing my shoulders to slouch. This was not going as I thought it would. While I certainly hadn't expected everyone to fawn over me like they did at home, I at least thought they'd be courteous. And now I was left alone in the kitchen, twittling my thumbs.

I sighed, yup he was a goner. Normally Kyle would have talked to me about Amy for at least half an hour...today he didn't even bother. I said goodbye as I walked upstairs to go and meet my cousins. I hear them in a room upstairs. I knocked politely on the door.

Kyle

I walked back into the kitchen and my heart skipped a beat...she was still there,looking lost and vulnerable..."You look lost"...I said as I pulled up a stool and sat down besides her..."Don't worry you'll soon fit in.All three of them are really friendly and warm.Do you like horse riding?...coz if you do we can go for a ride later on this afternoon...that is if you are up to it."

Isabel

"Did you see Kyle's face when he saw Tess?hahahahahahah!!!...I wish I could have freeze framed that moment."

knock on the door

"Come in"...Maria enters..."there you are.Now tell us what's wrong before Tess comes up."

I walk into the room and give my good old fake smile again.
"Come in...there you are.Now tell us what's wrong before Tess comes up."
"What? Oh Im fine. And don't expect Tess for a while, she's talking to Kyle...if ya get what I mean. Aw don't they look together. I always thought he had someone on his mind. I knew it!" I tell them.
